Went in on Saturday evening with a friend for a drink and we have an excellent time.
Sebastian made very yummy cocktails and provide fantastic customer service which is very rare on busy Saturday night in the city centre.
We had great laugh with him and we will definitely be back soon.
Thank you, Sebastian!

Came here for my birthday to go to a concert and the staff had prepared two small cakes and strawberries for me before I got into my room, very thoughtful :) apart from that rather nice hotel, the street is quite loud, so if that would effect your sleep then I couldn’t recommend, but good stay all together.

We use the venue for a regular weekly meeting. The venue is perfect, the food is great and the staff are perfect. Big thanks to Alfredo for helping organise everything.

i had the most incredible stay at the Novotel in Birm thanks to the staff at the bar!! i went down for a drink with my mum after long travels and we were welcomed so warmly and taken care of as soon as we arrived. Sebastian who was looking after us literally made our entire stay !! so nice, so polite and so professional. Also, the girl that was on the bar with him (i’m sorry i can’t remember the name) was sooo lovely and literally made the BEST espresso martini i have ever tried!! thank you so much :) We will be definitely coming back + recommending the stay to our friends and family! xxx

Fantastic meeting venue and hotel facilities. Friendly team and lovely atmosphere. Cant recommend the Novotel on Broad Street highly enough.

Loved this place the staff and location wouldn't stay anywhere else now in Birmingham the next time we come for a concert, but if its the weekend and you want an early night you should probably avoid as its noisy outside till late,

Excellent hotel. Really good rates. Brilliant service and very accommodating.
The rooms.are very comfortable. Was here with a large group and they went out of their way to make us comfortable. Would definitely stay here again

Great location next to all the night life. Room was fine, kids slept well on sofa bed. Our bed was very big (Queen Size) but the mattress was a bit too firm for me. Understaffed at Breakfast but staff were working so hard to make sure everyone was fed. Parking available in a lot underneath but not free. Also lifts from hotel lobby do not go down to carpark so for accessibility you need to let any disabled passengers out before parking.

Nicely located hotel on Broad Street. Check in was smooth and efficient. As in most hotels the lobby was nice to the eye and occupied by friendly and helpful staff.
Our room felt a little bit outdated although it was clean and fresh. My biggest gripe was that the toilet was not in the bathroom but in a separate room. The bathroom was nice enough but the toilet cubicle but literally looked and felt like an old public toilet (it was however clean). I have taken pictures.
We asked if we could change rooms for this reason, but were told all the rooms were like this because it's French style and Novotel is a French company.
The room was clean with a generously sized tv. It also had a fridge and iron with board.
Overall it's an ok hotel, in a brilliant location.
The rooms are a little outdated when it comes to decor. The separate toilet thing bothered me, but nowhere near as much as the aesthetics of the toilet cubicle. It really pulled down the standard of the room.

Fantastic hotel although they had ran out of New Zealand SB. Which was a bit disappointing. Staff are lovely too. Gave us a beautiful chocolate and strawberry dessert. , as my husband is a gold member.

Nice place, but is closed because is still making changes, clean. Will be open beginning of the March.

Lovely hotel. 5 minutes walk for German market and all the local attractions. Check in was quick and our room was clean and on top of that the sofa bed was setup for children,. Special thanks to reception for putting a welcome plate balloons and card for my little on as it was his birthday. You guys made his day unforgettable. Breakfast was good and had a lot of variety. Definitely coming back in Easter!!!

I've stayed in hotels of the Novotel chain before, and maybe the comparison is unfair, but I've always received exceptional service and stayed in beautiful modern rooms. Yesterday however was different.
I was placed on the first floor, which I thought was fine as I was only there for one night because of work. The hallway and door both looked dated, but that was also okay. What I found disappointing however was the shower. The water filled up to my ankles when I was just trying to find the right temperature. After I allowed it to drain, and then proceeded to try to shower and wash my hair, the water again filled so high that I had to wash my feet and lower legs in the sink after getting out. I did think of calling maintenance, but as I was only there for one night, and was already in the process of showering, this seemed pointless.
This was my biggest peeve, as the bed was comfortable, the room service was prompt, and the service people were polite and friendly. The only other strange thing was that some channels on the television just didn't work.
This definitely felt less than the stellar service I've previously had from Novotel, and it was just disappointing overall.

Nice hotel to live I was live a day with my family we had a great time and wonderful breakfast hopefully we will be back again to again as soon as possible
Thank you for all of the staff.

I have recently attended an event in a venue nearby and stayed for one night in this Novotel hotel. Apart from the welcoming atmosphere at reception and bar area, the room I stayed in (#418) was spacious and clean - had everything you need for overnight. Both receptionists Daniel and Natalie were absolutely brilliant form check in to later help with room service, great assets for the hotel. The hotel and people working there, overall makes you feel welcomed like home. Would definitely stay again for business or just for leisure.

Personally not a fan of hotel rooms with seperate toilet and shower room and they ruined dinner. I mean how do you mess up fish & chips!? The next day facilities for the course we were running were adequate, except the room temp was too high and no temp controls in the room. Had to keep asking staff to turn down the temp and in the end left fire doors open to get air for 16ppl. So overall rating is its OK but should be better.

I stayed three nights on third floor executive room. I like Novotel style and this was my 7th or 8th Novotel hotel and therefore I knew what to expect. Staff in the reception, household, bar and restaurant were all very professional and helpful. In reception they were quite young person all, but they did they work very well. Breakfast was good in its quality and I truly enjoyed it. Coffee was good and warm dishes perfect for me (maybe not the most healthy ones). My room was spacious and clean with nice bathroom amenities. Nespresso coffee machine worked well. Minor shortcomings were as follows: I do not like a fitted carpet, and separate toilet was quite a uncomfortable experience. It was small with weak light and WC flush did not worked perfectly. And I did not have a room with a view but construction area.
A. B.
Nice central hotel. Room decent size and had sofa and double bed. Toilet separate to bathroom and didn't like that there wasn't a hand was basin in the toilet, hand sanitizer doesn't replace washing your hands after the loo so that put me off a little. Bathroom had bath and shower cubicle which was good buy door was split door with big gap looking in to bedroom so difficult if sharing with friend. Bed was so uncomfortable and very firm and pillows were awful. Room was freezing during the night I had to get up and put socks and my cardigan on and couldn't work out how to warm the room up. So had a dreadful nights sleep! Not good when then got to drive for 4 hours home! Decor was dated (woodchip walls) and needed a good clean and paint.
Breakfast however was fab lots of selection and fresh. Staff were lovely. Room wasn't stocked very well with tea. Only 1 green and 1 breakfast teabag then a fruity one. When 2 people in room you would hope for at least 2 or 3 tea bags per person. I did however go down and ask for more and lady happily gave me more.
Hotel has a car park in basement but found it really odd that lift doesn't go down to this level. I'm not disabled but I have had both hips replaced and carrying my case up and down stairs isn't ideal or good for anyone. It did say use red phone to ring for assistance if disabled but I'm not really sure how a wheelchair user could get up from the basement after parking their car?
In all was an ok stay but bed and room temperature spoiled it.

Nice hotel. Clean and well located
A. K.
Room was quiet which was very good, but it was not very nice. The breakfast was OK, but not very good. It looked like someone tried really hard to make it look good on a budget that was too low to produce a decent experience. The waiting staff were nice but needed training. In general, I am not a great fan of lifts that require you to use a room card to operate and prefer the traditional card inserting in the room to get in and keep the lights on. I also had someone outside my room at 9am. I understand that they were keen to clean my room and get it ready for the next person, but that was a bit too early. The hotel is also a bit out of centre and difficult to get to. I general, it was all OK, just not an amazing experience.

Stayed here a few times. Reception is very quick with booking in or out and the bar and restaurant are modern and light.Restaurant and bar food the usual burgers fish steak salads wraps etc.Everywhere is clean and tidy.Only negative is the rooms are starting to look a bit tired. Just be aware that there is substantial works on Broad Street and they start at 6:30 so no alarm needed this morning Overall a good stay
P. O.
Stayed for 2 nights. Enjoyed the location. The hotel was good value for money. Breakfast, I would have liked it a bit hotter, less put out, and topped up more frequently so you had more of a choice and food remained fresher and hotter. But good service....Reception managed very well, friendly helpful staff.

We stayed at the Novotel for a three day / two night academic mini-conference (~90 people). We had bedrooms, a large meeting room, breakfast, lunches and dinner. All to an entirely appropriate standard. And within easy access to New Street. Staff were always helpful and everything went very smoothly. Happy to recommend.
J. R.
There's a lot of facilities on site especially for kids. These include a play area an xbox 360 and much more. Meeting rooms are available so it's perfect for an overnight work stay. Wifi was OK. The double room was good but the WC was seperate. I personally find that unconventional. The location is perfect because it's within walking distance of most dining places and a majority of the offices. Overall worth the price i paid
m. j.
We stayed end of last year for a business trip. We were quite happy with the location. We came back very late and Chris and Bela were amazing. They prepared food for us and served us drinks. In general we were happy with the stay and we will be coming back.
E. R.
This is my 4th time at Novotel and before this I have loved it: good location on the bus route, bar and food that's varied and tasty, nice rooms and lovely staff. But this time, not a fan. Construction has altered the bus stops, and I too have issues with housekeeping barging in when the do not disturb is on the door, and I was showering or dressing . . . 4 different times. As if guests should adjust to their schedule rather than the other way round. Some days the room was pristine, others not so much.
S. G.
The hotel and staff were great, room was lovely and airy, nice amount of space for my toddler to roam around. Only a few downers, the windows not being sound proof despite being in a busy area (we stayed on a bank holiday weekend so lots of people on nights out!) and the drain in our bathroom sink smelled quite bad when the water was being used. Apart from that a great place to stay.
G. S.
amazing stay - with the family. Was greeted by the General manager in the lobby and the receptionist Ines took great care in explaining all our requirements . we enjoyed the German market at their recommendation and loved the xmas decorations at the hotel
I would return for even business trips as an amazing and positive experience for my two nights stay with the family
we were in 5th floor one of our two rooms had an extra window and made the room super quite , so very good sleep
P. S.
Clean and quiet budget accommodation. Comfortable bed, wheelchair accessibility in rooms. Breakfast serving times week days and weekends are different, arrive late and there's not much left. At £55 for two breakfasts for two days, I can't say it's good value for money even when the hot food selection hasn't already been cleared away.
3 stars for comfortable beds, undisturbed sleep and location.
N. B.
The hotel is nicely situated, clean and tidy. The gym facilities are also good. I would have given 5 stars but for my stay last night, where I discovered black deposits around the air vent in the toilet, which wouldn't have warranted a mentioned on its own. However i also discovered what looked like blood (or red make-up) on the center of the hand towel as I was about to dry my face. On complaining to reception (on booking out) the response was "Sorry we can get you a new towel if you like .... I will let housekeeping know" not very good PR 😧
A. K.
I have stayed in the hotel for one night. All of the reception was really helpful. Breakfast had a wide variety of choices and was freshly cooked. The staff were friendly, specificly a lady called Eva from the restaurant.
She went out of her way to ensure my allergies were catered to which really made me feel safe and cared for.
The location of the hotel is great, closed to restaurants, bars, etc.
I would 100% recommend this hotel to others any time. Thanks a lot
K. H.
Ive stayed at other Novotel locations which have been far more modern in terms of room decor and finish. Cant speak for all the room of course, others may differ but mine felt dated with minor issues like bedside lighting not working. However the room was perfectly comfortable for my overnight stay and the staff were welcoming. Opted out of breakfast as i find i can usually get a better / cheaper breakfast from a local weatherspoons or similar.
R. A.
Nice hotel in general the lobby area is very up to date with a childrens area in the corner, the gym is ok with just enough equipment to complete a work out with a sauna and steam room.
The bar is nice but nothing special as it's just an extension of the lobby but as stated the lobby is nice.
We didn't go to the restaurant so I can't comment.
The reason I have only given this hotel 3 stars is in our room the toilet was in a separate little room of it's own and it didn't have a sink so you had to walk out into main area and into the bathroom/shower to wash your dirty hands after using the toilet.... not nice.
J. J.
We stayed in Feb. It was a family retreat. We were looked after thought our stay. There were some minor issues during the night, however Kristian managed to sort everything and make us feel at home. All the staff members were amazing, only thing is, the rooms are a bit dated. We will be coming back.
J. C.
I would certainly stay here again, but mainly due to value for money. I think we paid around £72 for a night (2 adults and 2 kids) - this included breakfast for us all! The hotel is quite smart and breakfast was good. Easy access with a car park underneath. Room was only okay, bed was not the best and we only had one pillow each which was rather irritating. Lady who checked us in was very polite and friendly and there was no queuing for checkin, or breakfast. Breakfast was quite good with enough choice and area was clean. Perfect if you are watching a concert at the Arena as it's a 3 minute walk away and saves the scramble at the end due to parking!!
K. B.
The standard rooms are very dated. A brown theme throughout. 'Popcorn' style wall coverings. Toilet was separate to the bathroom and was very dark and dingy. No toilet brush either! Bath had small hairs everywhere. Water pressure (sink and shower) was a mere trickle. Sink was unclean. Not enough towel supplied (2 towels for 4 people). Dental floss found under bed from last occupant. Breakfast good. For £94 night (including brekfast), I would most definately be looking for a more up-to-date establishment on my next trip to Birmingham. Parking £18 for over 8 hour stay.
H. R.
Hotel is located in a very ideal location! Staff were friendly and room were clean! I would recommend!
S. F.
Room a good size but with separate toilet decorated like a small brown cupboard! Shabby uncomfortable sofa in room too. Food ok beyond a slightly burnt aftertaste to the freshly cooked burger that I had to wait 20+ mins for. Staff nowhere to be found during wait but overly attentive thereafter. Breakfast fine, reception staff fine. Overall ok but not sure it's worth its 4 star rating.

Great to see the new refurbishment and meet the new management team

Novotels are my default chain and my second visit to this particular site reconfirms that choice. Slick online booking and check in on arrival with friendly efficient staff. Good sized rooms and a really comfortable bed. Loved the bluetooth speaker, great addition. Room lighting very well designed. Plenty of hot water for a bath in the evening and no let up of hot water during the morning peak breakfast time shower. Good quality breakfast selection. Particular mention of the late night bar attendant, Sonia who was still chirpy and bright the next morning at breakfast - top marks.
k. c.
Room was fine, had a separate toilet which was odd, and not great but overall fine for a 1 night stay. Breakfast had lots of choice but as the cooked section is buffet, it lets the quality down. The coffee was like tar, not pleasant. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Central hotel close to lots of bars and restaurants.
l. s.
Great service. Fast check in, great decor. Comfortable room and really comfy bed. Great nights sleep and quiet. Didn't have breakfast there as price was too high so had it at wetherspoons over the road. It's situated on Broad Street so central to where we were going on the evening. Really enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
E.
Great location for Arena and canals. Very lively streets and towards arena, loads of pubs and food places, clubs music venues to cater for every taste. 5 minute walk tonarena, walk is safe and pleasant. Even in evening. Main road is noisy, loads of party goers , kiss revving cars and playing music at top decible. But you can't hear it in the hotel or room.
Room was nice, clean, comfy. Air con worked, water was hot with good pressure. Reception quick and pleasant. Check in and out was very rapid. Breakfast was very good. Chef on his own Sona small wait for eggs and beans to be topped up but hardly cause for complaint. Good well cooked. Coffee delicious and plentiful. If I had a gripe it was the electronic door lock was a bit temperamental, but it finally sorted itself out. Overall highly recommended if you're going to a event in the arena. 4 minute cab fair from main station. £5 each way. Recommend this hotel.
T. A.
My stay was great - from arrival until leaving the customer service was spot on.
Our conference room was good and ideally suited to our purpose.
Tea and coffee arrived on time - would have been nice to have the break refreshments in the actual room rather than the reception.
G. C.
Pretty much perfect city centre hotel.
Excellent check in with very friendly staff.
Room was just what we wanted, really good size with a very comfortable bed. Good AV facilities. Fabulous modern bathroom - one of the best I've seen in a hotel.
Only downside is the separate toilet which was really oddly poor in comparison with the rest of the room.
n. n.
My room was clean and spacious. Great service. Even thou we was on the main street there was no noise.
Breakfast service was amazing. The manager saw to our needs and went an extra mile to make our children breakfast.
We had a big group and the catering team made us feel very welcome and comfortable.
A very well done to the chef for a lovely breakfast.
Main entrance reception staff was pleasant and helpful.
We would stay again.
And I would recommend this hotel.
M. C.
Mixed experience. Staff were responsive and swapped our room and I wish I didn't have to discover that my bath tub late at night did not have a plug that worked just as I wanted to relax in it. No lift from their car park to reception so advise you unload at street level. They do offer help if you have a disability. Centrally located.
S. B.
Very clean and comfortable. Room service was excellent. Great choice of breakfast and good service. The one thing that's letting you down is your evening service at the restaurant. I was sat at the other end of the restaurant and heard about a customer complaining by the bar because the chefs made such a big deal out of it that all of us heard what was going on. The kitchen needs cleaning. The backsplash on your service counter is filthy. Perhaps they should focus more on tidiness of their workplace not slating a customer that's not happy with their food.
N.
Travelled for business. The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable and had everything you would expect from a hotel. Reception area clean and modern (if a little strangely laid out), and welcome was what you would expect from a chain of this kind.
Breakfast room was a little cramped and tucked away which wasn’t very comfortable, but the food was good and what you would expect with noting too lavish.
All in all what you would expect from a chain of this type at this price.
A.
Really nice hotel, but i have had a window in front of the airport so it was quite loud at night. Hotel service is on high level, polite and friendly. I didn’t have opportunity to eat breakfast but if you leave at 5 a.m. you can take a coffe, juice and croissants which saved my day! ;)
L. a. S. D. (. a. L.
Room comfortable and well lit. Internal door coming off its hinges. Separate room for toilet has spring loaded door with very little room to step around it. No air con which would be an issue in warmer months as the window barely opens and it would be noisy if it did open. Reception welcoming but too talkative - we just wanted to get to our room. In general, the hotel was fine but didn't have the polish to justify a premium over more budget brands.
K. T.
Perfectly located hotel in Birmingham with excellent staff! I stayed there for a business trip and I was amazed by the way the staff is treating you like a guest, not just a customer. Room was spacious and clean, food is delisious and price is worth it. Will definately go back again!
N. B.
Been coming here for a number of years for football shopping and nights out.
Booked two rooms for my partner and our two kids (11and12) at the Broad Street Novotel. First time the kids had their own room. Staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome, kids were treated like proper guests which they loved.
Location in the middle of Broad a Street is great if you want to mix shopping (7 minute walk to Bullring) and an evening out on one of the best entertainment streets in the U.K.
Rooms were clean and tidy and parking on site reasonable at £15 for 24 hours.
Only negative is the breakfast is buffet style and the cooked food can be a bit dry from the heat lamps if you don't catch a fresh batch.
Overall very happy and it remains our preferred hotel in Brum,
T. L.
Clean but with no atmosphere whatsoever. The decor is very much commercial and not homely. The bed was very uncomfortable and the maintenance programme for the rooms needs to be improved, the towel rail and soap holder were hanging off the wall and the plug in the sink was broken. It's a 1 night only kind of hotel.
D. C.
room was fine but noisy outside so found it difficult to sleep. Odd bathroom set up with the toilet separate from the bathroom and interesting 70s style rough walls!
Found the staff not very clued up with gluten free - ordered a gluten free pizza on my first night to be told it wasn't really gluten free because the cheese wasn't gluten free. When I asked for clarification the staff brought out the cheese bag and the only allergen was milk - this is not gluten!! I think perhaps the staff need retraining regarding allergens! Also, in the morning, was really disappointed to discover that the scrambled egg, 1) came from a packet and 2) was not gluten free and nor were the beans (I am dubious that this is true due to the previous nights knowledge!!), - so, I ended up with toast, bacon and fried egg - slightly disappointment breakfast, really. The rest of my family were able to fill up on Danish pastries, sausages etc (although all said the sausages were not very nice).
Also, very glad that we didn't need to get the car out of the car park the morning that we checked out as we found a bike race had completely blocked the exit - would have been nice to have been informed of this earlier in the weekend, or ideally before we booked.
The staff were all extremely friendly, and willing to help when asked. The hotel toilets were clean as was the restaurant and reception.
N. M.
Well placed hotel on Broad Street with its own car park, very clean and pleasant although the rooms are a little basic but adequate for an overnight stay. Reception staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was initially very disappointing on being looked after by a lack lustre young man who didn't want to let us sit at an available table & then didn't have the courtesy to explain the breakfast options other than offering tea & coffee, though other staff were pleasant & friendly enough. Would stay here again.
M. T.
The hotel is nicely situated on Broad Street close to many bars and restaurants and only 10 minutes walk to the main shopping area. The hotel itself is well secure with access to rooms restricted to guests via a key card. Our room was spacious and included both bath and separate shower. In room entertainment included an ipod dock. Parking is abut pricey, however it is enclosed and very secure. Checking in and out was very easyand all employees that we encountered were polite and courteous. Would stay again and definitely recommend.
C. M.
More like 3 star. Think Premier Inn is heaps better. Rooms standard and bland. Definitely not a 4 star hotel.
D. S.
I stayed at this hotel to celebrate a colleagues leaving function. The locations was great and really close to the main bars and restaurants in Broad Street. The bullring centre was with a 15 minute walk for those who like to shop
The room was clean , tidy and the bed very comfortable. There is a good sized TV in the room and lots of space in the room. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly
A. I.
This hotel is not just a normal Novotel, but a lovely place with an amazing staff. Breakfast was dellisious, 5* customer service and big credits to the whole reception team for making us feel so special during our stay! I will deffinately stay there again!
K. S.
It was average. The front desk staff was somewhat inviting...Just one guy, the man from Isreal, was very friendly...the others were just 'there'... Our room was situated in an unusual way, in that the toilet had its own separate room away from the shower and tub. The bathroom sink smelled, and the shower leaked. The pillows were flat and the bathroom sink /vanity didn't have much counter room....
It was in a good/convenient location, within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go.
D. A.
Well you get what you pay for - it is value for money. The hotel is a little aged. Whereas the room was tidy and well presented, the carpet does have of-putting stains on it in various places. The toilet is actually a separate room from the bathroom...and looks like a dingy 1980's council flat loo. The bathroom itself was clean and the shower was nice. The bed was comfortable, and the room would appear to be sound proofed as we weren't disturbed at all by neighbours or the lift (we were directly opposite the lift)
For £65, it is okay.
L. B.
Executive room was clean, equipped with a coffee machine, fridge, iron, board, shower and bath with all usual complimentaries. Staff were more than helpful and very welcoming. Hotel is very central but just far away enough to not be disturbed by all the nightlife. Hotel was quiet (3rd floor) and rooms seem very well sound proofed. Hotel is situated close to the theatres and canal basin. Could hear next rooms TV etc. Be aware though that parking at the hotel grounds will inccur a £15 charge per day as a quest. This is none refundable. The train station is in the middle of all the shopping mall The Bull ring. is about 10 -15 minutes walk away, quicker by taxi. No need for a car when in city centre so consider leaving at home. Would stay again at the hotel.
C. H.
Hotel is good and in a great area for restaurants, but this comes with a down side as the noise from the people using the club's and pubs, Friday & Saturday, goes on until the early hours. We only had breakfast at the hotel which was very good with an excellent choice of food. I picked this hotel because it had parking on site but I was disappointed to find that I had to pay an extra £18 per night to park on top of what I had paid for the hotel.
K. L.
We chose novotel for the convenient location but had no real expectations. We were very happy with the location; perfect for getting around birmingham. The parking was also great and priced very reasonably for 24 hours in the city centre. The most impressive part though was the customer service towards my five year old. From treating her to a trip to the pancake machine at breakfast to her small parting gifts she was really made to feel special. As a parent I was really impressed by this especially as it seemed to us that most of the clientele was business people when we stayed. We also had a good night's sleep, tasty room service and a delicious breakfast!
M. I.
I have visited Novotel Hotel a few times now and each time I have been there I have been greeted with respect and courtesy. Emad barday has always made us feel very welcome and is such a nice guy, always there for you and ready to help. I would definateley recommend visiting Novotel Broad Street to anyone who is thinking about visiting Birmingham. Lovely hotel with amazing staff. Thanks Again Emad Barday.
A.
Very central location near all the restrauants, bars and pubs. Has underground parking at £15 for 24 hours. Short walk to the cannel. Room was quiet and very comfortable, we stayed in a executive room. Breakfast had a good choice and bar was good. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
J. N.
Fantastic hotel ! Amazing location ! Staff was great , and helpful. We loved the dinner in the restaurant and were able to enjoy the gym in the morning too
Definitely 5 stars for me and the Mrs
Will come back here for business trips too
L. H.
Staff Lovely and ready to help at any time.
Rooms clean. The only thing id say is top up the shower gels for the next day as a family of 4 staying for 2 days 2 small tubes aint enough and 1 small soap. Kids really enjoyed staying. Didnt manage to go in the kids area as we didn't see that untill leaving. That could have been showed to is when checking in. Will defiantly stay again.
A. M.
Was a lovely hotel, beds are really comfortable. Love the toiletries supplied, came in really handy as we'd forgotten some. Central location, short walk to city centre or canal walkway. Only stayed 1 night as we were travelling onwards, would stay again
T. G.
Despite being situation on broad st..I found my one night quiet and peacful. Lovley simplistic room, to my pleasure also equipped with iron and Bluetooth speakers.
Front desk were super helpful and friendly
As I love of sauna steam rooms and heat in general, I was very glad to discover they had thier own in house gym steam room and sauna. I was lucky enough to.have the whole area to myself. The only issue was that the steam room didnt get as hot and as steamy as I would like. But it's free! So whos complaining
M. D.
Don’t arrive with too high expectations and you won’t be disappointed. My room was dated especially the bathroom but the bed was very comfortable and it was extremely quiet. It’s a great venue for a conference with superb catering.
S. A.
Super clean big room, right on Broad Street. The breakfast was decent, and there's no noise. I could have given 4 stars but the staff members seem bored and couldn't be bothered to be helpful or friendly. I may not stay here again given that I had a better experience at the Hampton just round the corner from it.
P. P.
Kiran and the team always do great job of hosting meetings at the Novotel. the attention to detail I second to none. Never have I ever had a bad experience! I would highly recommend the hotel, meeting spaces and food to anyone looking.

Great location, the top of Broad Street, so it's perfect location if you're planning a wild night out or maybe a theatre.. Although on the main strip, you're not disturbed by noisy revellers once you decide you want to call it a night. Very comfortable beds and smart rooms, pleasant staff.
c. t.
Car park on site extremely expensive even though it's on the hotel grounds, which should be free parking.
Room was very cold at nights and pillows deflated. For a superior room the same size as a standard room.
Chef's during breakfast times excellent, waiter's very good but they we're over worked and under staffed which made breakfast times seems poor service. Breakfast times extremely busy but not enough staff working to cover customer requests in an appropriate time frame.
Housekeeping good but poor English was unable to answer questions and I spent hours looking for my son toy that was misplaced in the room. Towels two small for adults even when asked we were given the same sizes again.

Hotel was lovely, room was spacious and clean. Security were extremely helpful when coming home in the morning, felt safe. Staff were there at all times if needed. Overall amazing value for money.

a very nice hotel which hold good standards. the room as spacious and equipt with everything needed. the atmosphere and staff reflect the 4 Star rating this hotel has. the breakfast had a wide selection of continental and traditional British.
C. C.
Smart modern lobby and ground floor. Comfortable bed and ample space in bedroom. Liked the WC separate from the bathroom. Plumbing could be updated though. Cistern slow to re-fill and shower controls could be smoother. Rather oddly, there are two lifts up and down the floors from the lobby but a long flight of stairs only up from the basement car park with one's luggage!
R. G.
The hotel is about 15min walk from the train station in a very nice area of Birmingham.
I very much appreciated the double upgrade from standard to executive room thanks to my LeClub status.
The room was clean, modern, good amenities, good beddings, comfortable mattress and the highlight is definitely the Nespresso coffee machine in the room.
I was given a code for the premium WiFi which had an amazing speed (above 50mb/s up and down).
The staff has been brilliant all the way, offered me more coffee capsules and accommodated my late checkout request without problems (for free thanks to my LeClub status).

TV was too quiet to hear over the road noise, but we were 4 floors up. Friends room had2 windows which buffered out noise. They slept well but our room had paper thin glass. Not a good night sleep. Black out blinds were very effective, sound square was nice. That was stupid though as sound square was way way louder then the TV. Surely that would annoy people more? Our room we booked stated Queen bed, although when we checked in we were told it was twin. ( 2 singles) after showing the print out. He told us we would be put in superior rooms. They weren't superior. The technology was probably the only better thing in the room. The bathroom was modern other then that toilet. It was in a Separate cupboard.
A. M.
The Location alone would earn the hotel a 9 out of 10. But the ever so smiling and courteous staff is a bonus. Especially Ms. Elle at the reception, she was great.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to stay again soon.

From the moment you step through the doors until the time you leave you are made to feel very special. Whenever we visit Birmingham we always stay at the Novotel and we always get recognised. Its a wonderful feeling. Our rooms are spacious, very clean and extremely quiet which is great considering this hotel is in the heart of Birmingham's thriving city. The staff from reception, bar, restaurant and housekeeping deliver great service with a smile and thats rare these days. Well done and thank you once again.
D. H.
On a positive note my room was spotlessly clean so thank you to whoever did that. On a less than ++ note, the noise in the hotel/adjoining toilets etc was quite pronounced. Also, I ordered room service which consisted of pizza and brownie with ice cream. By the time it reached me the ice cream had melted away to a wet puddle on the tray. Maybe an idea would be to put that in a bowl and not balance a hot pizza plate on top?
R. T.
Location brilliant, we were attending an event at the Arena.
Actual hotel was OK. Bedroom rather dreary and the bathroom was not what I expected. Don't like separate toilet and bathroom, especially as there wasn't even a hand washing basin in the toilet. . Inconvenient and unhygienic. I expected more from a 4 star hotel. Don't like open WiFi networks, this should be secured with a login and password such as room number.
S. U.
Good front desk service. Bedrooms need updating, as have an odd setup with the toilet separate to the washbasin and bath. Breakfast was average with limited gluten free options
T. G.
Fantastic hotel with great disabled access. Good spacious rooms for wheelchair access. Was able to maneovour well with an electric chair. Only downside was that there wasn't a seat/ chair in the roll in shower. Otherwise, great place to stay in Birmingham if coming to the centre. Only 15 minutes walk to the bullring shopping complex.
J. B.
Stayed there on business for two nights. The hotel is with good central location. I liked the gym but I didn't have the opportunity to use it. The room was pretty standard, clean and comfortable but one thing I didn't like at all - the toilet and bathroom were separated.
R. H.
Location was brilliant, very central and near to Cadbury's World which we visited. Rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was really good, great variety and Quorn sausages for vegetarians! All in all a nice hotel for the price.
G. M.
Helpful staff, changed our room to a higher floor so couldnt hear the noise from the function being held downstairs. Great location. Very clean. Great that rooms have a fridge, iron and hairdryer, amazing value.
s. r.
A very warm welcome on arrival. The hotel was nice looking and clean inside. The hotel was comfortable and there was a mini fridge and safe in the room. Bath was on the small side in width but apart from that everything was spot on.👌🏼
A. K.
Great stay July 24. Rooms large for a standard. Lovely reception and eating area. Breakfast was fantastic and service 10/10. Parking secure under hotel at £15 for 24hr, worth it. Best location to all the great eats and pubs and near the canal which was beautiful.
D. W.
Hotel looks lovely, nice and clean inside. However not so great when you get to the room and you're (un)lucky to face the main street - Broad Street - sleepless night guaranteed. Stayed here with my partner on a Saturday night and had zero sleep - loud, noisy all night long. Despite being a 4* hotel, they only have single glazed windows. When I went down to the reception to complain about it, I was shocked to be told that the hotel is used to and they cannot hear anything! Perhaps, worth a stay but only Monday to Friday, avoid it at the weekends!
K. “. R. R.
Fantastic service, nothing was too much. I had a wardrobe malfunction & needle & thread was promptly available .
The food was very tasty.
The Manager Emad Barday, was incredible. He is indeed an invaluable asset to the Novotel chain.
M. P.
Room layout bad - tiny WC horrible, creating useless space at entry to bedroom area. No hard pillow choice. Inflexible lighting control (eg desk/bed). Sofa built for extra bed is not comfortable experience daytime. Coffee area too high - causes mess. Poor TV selection with no instructions and no programme summary. ALL THIS IN DELUXE UPGRADE !!!!
Breakfast was good and staff friendly/helpful.
Note: Reception (arms too high) and bar chairs (no back support) uncomfortable
A. I.
I have been staying at this hotel on numerous occasions and I can say... it’s excellent. It’s excellent in price, rooms are of high standards, food quality and quantity is excellent too. Would highly recommend it to anyone.
A. S.
The reception staff while I was staying there were very helpful and welcoming.
However the breakfast was very disappointing. the pastries seemed a bit stale, the bacon was dry & hard, so hard that I didn't eat it and the butter was too cold to actually spread on the toast. They were busy catering for a breakfast event. There was no one there to greet me when I arrived and it took over 7 minutes before I could get a cup of tea. When I asked if there was any water available. the waitress went and put two bottles on the central island, and didn't even offer me a glass of water, so I had to get up and pour it myself. A total let down after the professionalism of the reception staff.
I pre-authorised my card to cover any expenses and you sent me my bill via email. which was a great idea. However the execution of this was very poor. The bull you email was confusing as it appeared to charge me again for my room, which I previously paid for.
I had to ring the hotel and spoke to someone who then transferred me to another person who would be able to help me. When I spoke with her, she clarified that my bill was only for my parking, breakfast and some photocopying.
The I pointed out that nowhere in the email did it actually say I was only being billed for those supplementals and the amount for them. Instead I was presented with a bill which included the cost of my room which is what led me to calling about it.
I then asked if you received other calls from customers about this issue, and was informed that you did receive some.
I suggested that this was a point of confusion for customers and was leading to unnecessary calls to you and wasting customers time and that perhaps you should look at the emails you send out to customers to try to clarify that they are only being charged for things other than the room.
I suggested that maybe you should look at the communications on your emails in relation to these bills to prevent these unwanted enquiries. And the woman I spoke with said she would pass this onto her manager. However, the tone of her voice seemed to suggest that that was unlikely and I actually have no faith that she did pass this on.
I need my conversation with her and explained that this issue, me having to call about my bill impacted negatively on my overall experience of staying with you.
I am a customer experience consultant, and I do know what I am talking about. You could have a first class experience if all you staff were as engaged as the ones I dealt with on reception.
I have taken a lot of effort to detail this to you on this survey and i just hope it s acted on but I do have my doubts.
L. P.
Check in was painful despite booking in online. Room was ok, bed was good and firm but the carpets were dirty and heavily stained. Very noisey hotel with constant police sirens and car horns going off every 5 minutes. Staff were friendly and free wi-fi.
S. B.
Absolutely love staying here where in the heart of everything. We just step out the doors and there are restaurants and bars. The bullring shopping centre a hugh market.best of all the people are friendly. Can't say a bad thing about the place. Now back to what me and my hubby like best about this hotel. The rooms are big hugh bed sofa large tv tea and coffee fridge, safe iron and ironing broad wardrobe.beautiful shower and bath separate toilet room.Love the fact that you can order take aways or eat in the restaurant. The staff make you feel welcome.I need book up for my birthday.
T. B.
Staff great, very helpful.
The hotel rooms look tired and in need of a revamp, esp toilet and bathroom.
Ok for quick business stay.
Locks on few rooms were temperamental, bit of a pain trying to get in your room.
M. N. B.
I have a good Time in the hotel! The personal is very professional. The room was clean and practice! I think come back to this hotel if I return in Birmingham. The most is the report quality price. Just I miss one Day shampoing. Many thanks
s. s.
A beautiful warm and comfortable place to stay with a warm welcome. Stayed with family and got upgraded too. Staff can't be more helpful. Friendly bar and reception staff. It's 100% thumbs up from our family👍
A. V.
Hotel is very clean and professional staff. Isnide the room looks clean, has safe and fridge if needed. The only draw back I had was the noise, my room was on the 6th floor (their highest floor). When I went to sleep I was kept awake by the noise of the street. It was a Saturday night and the was a lot of noise coming from people down on the street and with car horns, didn't stop till about 3:30 am.
N. A.
The reception area is lovely. Staff I met very good. Breakfast good. But the room was dire. Dowdy, outdated, smallest toilet room ever, tiny bath, poor decor and uncomfy bed that wasn't great to sleep on.
For a 4* hotel, disappointing for comfort.
M. W.
Matthew and Hazel had very nice stay at Novotel Birmingham Broad Street UK.
All the Staff was Nice and very Welcoming from start to finish of our stay.
12th April 2018 to 15th April 2018. Really nice Clean Rooms. Yes would stay again. We will tell friends and family how good it is.
K. B.
Attended business meeting there. Very clean place, good coffee. Exceptional lunch buffet, very good food and lots of variety. Only downside was we had to pay for hotel parking - would have expected that to be part of package with conference room rental.
A. E.
Very consistent with any other Novotel. If you've stayed in others this will be a similar set up. Rooms may need a bit of updating in regard to the separate toilet and bathroom along with the air conditioning. Food was good for both breakfast and evening meal. A glass of wine is a bit expensive at £7
T. J.
Great hotel on the busiest party street in Birmingham. There were 2 huge bouncers to keep the riff raff out after 10pm! That's not a negative just not a family place when people are falling over and flashing their bras and worse at 3pm!!
Rooms a good size, clean and modern and buffet breakfast good however breakfast staff seemed very unorganized. We were given cold tea/coffee twice. I wouldn't stay here with family again, it's hen/stag /uni party central! but a nice hotel overall.
A. S.
I was satisfied with room in terms of size, it was ok when it comes to value for money. Staff was courteous and helpful whenever I had interaction with them. However my experience of dinner in hotel's restaurant was terrible. Overpriced and stale/bad tasting food. For kids We ordered fish burger which came as fish fingers, ordered chicken fingers which came as chicken burger. Red thai curry was bland jasmine rice despite being micro waved were so dry they tasted like plastic. All of it took more than 30 minutes to arrive on table while it took them 15 minutes to realise that they did not have ingredients for some of the order we placed originally.
F. A.
The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The service was excellent and staff was very friendly. Really enjoyed my stay and shall look forward to stay here again
C. D.
Loved it. Friendly staff, great breakfast and prefect location. Only negative is parking is a bit tight underground and £15 a night. Also the lift from the car park is via the staff entrance and takes a long time to come. Otherwise though a great hotel worth a revisit
K. K.
The room was very clean and comfortable.I liked having extra pillows in the cupboard. My only issue was that there was some noise quite early in the morning, not sure where it was coming from but did cause some sleep disturbances
L. S.
Hi we stayed there last night as we went to see take that at the arena which was round the corner.
I want to thank the kind soul that found my purse and handed it into reception money still included.
If reading this please reply i want to thank you personally
Met few more take that fans with young children staying at this hotel very child friendly
Nice food ,helpful staff, x
K. C.
The food selection was mostly good. However more healthy options needed. Particularly as I attended an even for diabetes there was a lot of high fat and high sugar food options. Other than that the meeting room was clean and had good facilities.
Y. Y.
Friendly Services and Good location for business and City walking. facility was not new but acceptable and room was clean no Pbm for stay actually.
And there are small kids corner . Old Japanese space invaders video game was so exiting for family.
V. C.
Nice room..219...but thermostat wasnt working so was roasting....staff friendly. Missed bfast so cant comment n didnt get a chance to use spa...parking bays are so tiny and careful when exiting carpark tp not curb your alloys...😏
V. H.
Visited Novotel for a course today. The room was a little cramped but the food and beverages were amazing...much better having lunch here than school dinners. Particularly liked the mini smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels at break time.
t. r.
Hotel security was great location was great .bed was full of springs had to sleep on the sofa bed, room was cold, bath tap not working. Breakfast was nice little over priced, little noisy in room from outside , car parking a bit pricey for guests, staff welcome , double room needs updating .
O. B.
What you expect from Novotel. No frill clean and functional rooms. Quiet if facing the back, but some colleagues with rooms facing the street were bothered by noise, especially since there are many bars in the area. Fast check-in/out. It's 15 minutes by foot from the train station, but the area were the hotel is located is quite lively.
J. B.
Decent room
Super slow serving of food - starters after 45mins+ since ordering, main another 45mins. walked out at 10.15pm and missed desert. Shame because food was actually good. Just too late.
Decent breakfast.
unwelcoming corridors leading to rooms.
G. S.
Never stayed or eaten here, but attend meetings periodically. Staff always pleasant and helpful. This hotel has its own car park beneath the building, which is reasonably priced and on a Saturday, not too busy.
F. G.
Nice hotel on busy Broad Street, Birmingham. Location convenient for city centre, NIA etc.
Rooms modern and comfortable. Wifi very good.
Breakfast really nice with lots of variety.
There's a car park too (additional charge).
A. H.
Friendly and helpful staff. I had an executive room but was not much different to a standard room other than there was a standalone shower. I'd recommend saving some cash and getting a standard room. Breakfast option is quite pricey at £13.95. it's well situated for Broad Street and Brindley Place restaurants.
J. F.
Suprised by this hotel, but of a hidden gem. Room was spacious and well presented. Breakfast was a good selection. Overall the facilities were modern and well maintained.
Would use if visiting Birmingham on business or a quick stay.
N. M.
Great location to the city centre, great selection on breakfast menu, mini gym is good when not fully occupied and the staff are friendly and willing to help. Able to leave luggage at concierge at no extra cost. Would definitely stay there the next time in in Birmingham
G. B.
Excellent customer service provided from all the front desk staff, they do go the extra mile for guests and the service they delivered was always with a smile. The rooms are lovely and what expected from the brand.
B. L.
There is no front desk! Just two staff stood at podiums with a keyboard and screen! The place has zero atmosphere! It does its job and thats as much as you can say! I was there for a conference and the water ran out before we even got started. It took 30 plus minutes to get more to the meeting room. This demonstrated they can't really make the effort or they need more staff or just one to cater for corporate attendees!
E. C.
Hotel is well situated to walk into the town centre. Rooms were clean and buffet breakfast was well worth the price. We got a discounted rate for booking breakfast on arrival so maybe hold off until checking in to see if you can bag a bargain too
V. P.
Not that clean, shower tray filled up with an inch of water, had some noise from the main road outside (although I was in a quiter room than most). Hotel is quite modern and staff were friendly and happy to help.
m.
Great hotel with very attentive staff and amazingly comfortable bed! Had a private party for work and the food was delicious and the entertainment was first class too! Highly recommend
J. B.
Good service, very clean, good location, good breakfast.
They did make what I assume was a small mistake and seated some random woman on my table at breakfast, possibly while I was up getting food, so it was a bit of a surprise to get more coffee sent over and then a woman sit down opposite me!
J. M.
Smart , clean modern hotel, Big rooms with plenty of space, an iron, desk etc. Bathrooms a bit odd i.e. toilet feels like its stuck in a cupboard. Food very well priced for a hotel. Breakfast buffet good quality.
S. C.
Only major concern was that the shower leaked out of the top of the shower head causing water to go all over the floor. Staff were polite and friendly and breakfast had a good option choice. Car parking was a little excessive at £30 for 2 days.
I. M.
Reception was good. Room decor was fun with Fezzes on wall and decoration. Room was comfortable. Safe was jammed open and a bulb was not working for one light near window. TV was good.
[. :. L.
Attended a Service Desk Institute conference. The hotel provided good food and prompt service. The 6th floor room was comfortable and quiet. I would definitely recommend for people looking at hosting professional meetings.
s. h.
Nice reception and very helpful staff. Room was perfectly ok until you looked closely. Quality could have been higher but overall I can’t complain!
s.
went to see the panto and stayed here, its absolutely fine, bedrooms and bathroom clean, reception area fine. parking limited and its a little bit further from the centre than we wanted, but otherwise fine. staff were nice.
D.
Although the hotel couldn't find our booking it was sorted quickly and smoothly. The room was nice and spacious with good facilities. Staff were lovely and welcoming.
S. R.
Good comfortable Hotel in a central location, great for shopping, eating and near to the ICC where we were going to an event on the Saturday evening, rooms were big and had everything you need, fridge, iron, tea/coffee, safe, it was also nice and quiet at night. The only problem we had was that our room keys kept failing, we had to have them changed twice over our weekend.
G. J.
I enjoyed my two nights at the Birmingham Novotel. Made use of the wireless speakers - nice touch. The card on my door had to be replaced twice but could have been my door's card-reader. Staff were always helpful.
C. F.
Very good food options for those withdietry requirements, however toilets had run out of toilet roll mid day on a weekday. A little disappointed being as these toilets we're accessible by 2 small sized professional groups. Perhaps increase toilet checks to every hour?.
w. t.
Fantastic centre city location, cool service, nice staff. Not a burden on ur pocket. Not far from train station. Other services r available at the door like cab, bus. Many pubs & restaurants around which r serving from morning till late evening. Novotel is always my option for staying out of town
M. U.
This is one of the best locations for you to stay in Birmingham.
As it's on the broad street right next to Bringley Place where you have loads of choices of restaurants and bars.
Usually, the most visitor here is working people.
But you often find casual people visiting as well.
This hotel has a restaurant and bars itself as well as a meeting room.
If you like to arrange a conference or business meeting in Birmingham on a small scale, then this would be your perfect choice.
Hope this helps...
W.
Stayed here for a business trip. It was all okay untill I got woken up at 2am by the fire alarm.... Going off 3 times over a 10 minute period. Okay, I can deal with that, but come the morning, tried to have a shower and literally no water pressure (no water at all, colleague had to brush his teeth with bottled water) couldn't have a shower and I wasn't the only one. Wouldn't return.
C. D.
Rooms are warm. Bit noisy at night being on broad street but not the hotels fault. Great location for city centre.
Rooms could have been cleaner but for the price it was great value
H. B.
Very welcoming staff went out of there way would visit again with my family highly recommend this hotel and the games are kept the kids ent trained whilst we sorted out our room. Very clean, comfortable and tidy.
B. B.
Location excellent. Interior reception and public areas good. Rooms need TLC. Breakfast room cramped..
Staff overall were very good.
Would j stay here again 🤔...yes!
j.
Everything in the hotel was great. Breakfast, cleanliness, facilities, staff etc were all perfect. I would not doubt staying in the hotel again in the future if the opportunity arose.
N. S.
Perfect venue for business meeting and events. Well organised and energetic team to make every event successful. Thank you to entire team for such a warm welcoming and looking after us entire day.
E. P.
Nice hotel, a relative oasis, in the heart of grubby Birmingham. Friendly and efficient staff. Pretty spacious room and comfortable bed. The walls must be paper-thin judging by the sounds from the couple nextdoor.
y. f.
The hotel offers everything you need for a business or a couple trip. The rooms are well-equipped and it was a very pleasant staying.
The breakfast was rich and the stuff members are kind and helpful.
C. K.
Very nice hotel... well managed. Excellent location. Team is real asset for the hotel. Don’t leave any stone unturned to make your stay memorable
M. J.
The hotel is well located, only 20 mins away from the city centre and the view while walking is amazing. The hotel is comfortable and the staff are very friendly. Overall, my time at this hotel was great!
s. g.
Went for a drink at the bar. Girl with latex gloves on making a pizza at the side of the bar area. Took a while for her to acknowledge me. When she did instead of removing her gloves to serve me she shouted across the spacious lobby for her colleague to help her (ie to serve me) and then continued placing items on the pizza she was carefully crafting. The colleague reluctantly came over. There were then no draft beers available though I think about 6 existed. White wine and a small Peroni was over £14 which is ridiculous pricing. Then the pizza girl had to show the colleague how to use the till. By now two or three other customers were waiting. Let's hope the pizza buyer was satisfied with their service because I certainly wasn't.
R. P.
Extremely good, morning staff, chef and reception staff, friendly and takes care of you even gave me 2 hours extra for free after i was meant to check out at 12pm. Chef even went to serve my eggs at my table. 10/10 ***** hotel
m. j.
My stay at Novotel surpassed my expectations ! Especially the food ! It was amazing ! Can't wait to get back there ! Keep up the good work people ! I'm coming back just coz of the food !
Y.
Comfortable hotel. Modern in parts but room was quite dated and small. The best feature was the restaurant. Great breakfast and warm and wonderful restaurant staff!
A. R.
Breakfast was great, nice selection. Tried to order room service but no one answered the phones which was annoying so ended up going out. Room was nice but toilet room was dingy and didn't flush properly.
S. S.
We stayed for one night. The room had a nautical theme which made the room very interesting - especially for our young son. The staff, and food were all excellent.
S. R.
We stayed at the hotel as we were in Birmingham for a celine dion concert. The hotel was quite full due to the concert. The only observation I would make is the fact that we had to queue for a time to get our cooked breakfast. There was a bit of a wait as food was having to be restocked all the time.
A. B.
Pleasantly surprised, not been here for years buts its had a good revamp. Comfortable beds, decent food and a great location. Now competes with some of the newer hotels for value for money
s. h.
Hotel was clean couldn't fault. Breakfast great only fault bar area used as a free meeting place by salesmen not staying at hotel . Phones on loudspeaker no room for residents to sit . Not buying drinks shame only thing that spoilt it for us.
V. R.
Last minute decision to stay in the city after a theatre show. Great decision. Friendly, efficient staff. Large, clean room. Comfy bed.
d. b.
everything was great, would have been better with out that room service charge of £5 per order, but the breakfast , beds , showers and staff were all excellent. if im in birmingham again i will be staying there again.
C. A.
Stayed for a show nearby during the bank holiday, great location and the facilities are good, service was a bit rushed especially at breakfast, probably because the hotel was busy. Appreciate that the stuff was trying.
P. B. R.
Perfect meeting rooms with everything you need. The food, drinks and facilities are second to none.
Would definitely recommend as it is so central and easy to get to.
M. W.
Very spacious room, with impressive facilities! I had the executive room and was extremely pleased. The real standout though was the staff who were extremely professional and helpful, I'll definitely be visiting again.
H. K.
It was a wonderful choice to stay, the room and room svc was excellent, especially the staff was very helpful and cooperative, overall it was a tremendous stay and love to come again and again.
S. M.
Stayed at other Novotel Hotels across the country and was less satisfied with this hotel. The corridors and rooms felt quite clinical and not friendly. Staff were great though.
R. k.
Noisy, AC did not really work so had to open thw window. Noise was extreme now as it was a saturday night. And we had been put in the quietest part of the hotel.
S. S.
Had a good stay, the room was clean and the service was good. Location was perfect for where I needed to be but the road itself had a lot of clubs on it. A bit too lively late at night.
A. T.
Lovely staff and clean room.
One piece of feedback I would leave is that the hotel could do with some modernisation.
C. M.
The other guests staying on the Friday night were incredibly noisy and appeared to be allowed to party in the corridors until after 4.30am on the Saturday morning. Subsequent nights were a bit better but the window of my bedroom was poorly soundproofed and allowed the continual hubbub of Broad Street to penetrate.
A. S.
Not knowing Birmingham very well, the hotel was quite difficult to find, especially with all the road works. However, the actual hotel is very nice, food and rooms are excellent. The staff were all very polite. Highly recommend the breakfast.
G. M.
Service good, room good, staff friendly and efficient. Breakfast excellent. Really nothing negative to say. Could have done with newspaper in the morning but that is the only issue.
S. L.
We were here for a reception meal.the room and decor are modem and comfortable. The reception was very well presented. Great City centre location just 20 minute walk from New Street Station
P. S.
Very nice hotel. Rooms are well designed and always neat and clean. Management is very good and staff is very cooperative.
K. R.
Typical Novotel, great central location to bars & restaurants. Rooms are good size, some a little dated. Comfortable beds. Free WiFi
T. D.
The hotel rooms need updating. There's a hotel up the road called the Park Regis that is similarly priced and more luxurious. I don't think I would stay again but it's fine as a basic 3* hotel.
M. B.
Staying here for a few nights so far so good, reception experience was good room is good standard and clean and breakfast was very good lots of good seating areas around reception and location for all city centre amenities is excellent
M. L.
Excellent throughout. Room was clean and comfortable. First hotel I have stayed in where toilet is separated from bathroom. Like that idea. Food and Breakfast was great.
d. i. f. r. (.
I had a very nice stay!
The service was excellent with very clean room as well the location was just perfect for me.
Thank you Novotel!!!
k. b.
Well located for City Centre and bars on Broad St. Clean and nice sized family room. Have stayed here several times and would many more when we need to.
C. C.
We have stayed here many times and the service is always extremely good. Very pleasant and professional staff, rooms are great. Food very good.
S. S.
The usual mid-priced chain hotel. Nothing special. Good public transport and only 10 mins walk from the town centre. Good place to stay if you're in Brum for an event and want a place to kip down.
C. B.
Excellent city centre location close to plenty of attractions. Rooms are modern and clean plus the staff are very friendly and professional. Also has a private car park on site.
A. G.
Very nice hotel, great for if you want to be snack bam in the middle of the night life...however..went here for a church retreat so leaving the hotel to get snacks at 11pm...felt like I was walking out into sodom 😂🤣 around a 15-20min walk to the station
S. B.
Good hotel in good location with lovely staff. Hotel room sizes are generous. The best aspect was the vast breakfast in the morning.
R.
Staff pleasant and polite, nice breakfast, hotel close to canal area with bars and food, nice area. Hotel rooms a bit dated but you get what you pay for.
M. A. M.
Staff was welcoming. The rooms are just about right for the price. Telephone wasn't working so could fix that please? Restaurant food was ok and so was the price.
A. K.
I really enjoyed my stay.
Hotel staff was fantastic, the room was very clean, and the breakfast was fabulous!!
F. A.
Nice place, excellent accommodation, great location, good foods,
L. S.
Staff dealt professionally with a booking issue. In Aug 2017 was undergoing a refresh so some noise from drilling and trailing wires. Good breakfast with range of healthy options.
R. O.
Accommodation is ok ...
Underground carpark hard to find and locate dew to oneway system.
M. T.
My visit to the hotel was for a work conference and if I am honest it was a bit disappointing. The space given to us was rather cramped and the facilities for lunch were very basic with not enough seating for the number of people.
P. H.
It's very relaxing the bed was fantastic so comfortable I would love to know where to get one from. Everything was extremely satisfying with our stay can't find any negative points thank you.
A. S.
The hotel was ideally located for the Barclay card arena. The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel clean, tidy and comfy. The car park was handy if a bit pricey.
r. m.
Great location for the birmingham theatres.
Friendly staff, clean rooms good breakfast.
Pay separately for car parking.
My car was scratched whilst in the car park.
I would recommend hotel

First time in this hotel...we were warmly welcomed by security..however on entering the receptionist who booked us in.....he was quite angry at the thought that he was called back to reception after his working shift was ended and kept asking why waste called to come back....the other person should deal with us ..he was really angry...and a bit unprofessional... (I think he should be able to see that there was quite a lot of people checking in)
Regardless we were checked in and should to rooms...
The rooms were fresh, beds nicely made ....we slept comfortably....breakfast was good and the service was well presidented...credit to Juilette and her catering team who made sure all of us including kids were well fed....we were a family of 11 members ....Very impressed rights service and the cause variety on offer..
M. M.
We were looked after efficiently, professionally and promptly, and especially with the location being convenient to the station we shall likely return (although ask for a room away from the main street which was exceptionally noisy throughout the night.)
K. S.
Disappointing bar and social areas. Room was good and clean. Disappointing breakfast and as there are many other hotels nearby so won't be back.
G. A.
We had no issues with the room.
The restaurant had a very limited menu when I went to eat. The local restaurants were either booked up or too busy..
X. B. O.
Big bed, Big room, Quiet, Good wifi, Good food, very friendly staff, Hotel very close to city center just 10 min walking. Connection Airport -city by train excellent.
N. H.
Hotel is good, you need arrive early for a parking space as it limited and underground, other than staff is friendly and the rooms are clean, hotel is situated in the heart of the city.
T. N.
Very comfortable. Staff were approachable and helpful. The facilities for the course I attended were fantastic and the food was delicious. I would definitely stay here again
E. P.
Good room, good breakfast. Slight problems with the keycard requiring visiting the reception to get the key to work. Good location. Nice staff.
V. L.
Very good stay, definitely recommend!! The cleaning ladies were amazing, I think one them was called Didi, an absolute gem!!!
Y. S.
Very comfortable, nice room. Very accommodating to my needs, as a person with disabilities. Received a call prior to my visit to offer further assistance if required.
T. P.
We had a warm welcome by receptionist, room was spacious and clean. Great nights sleep and breakfast was amazing.
S. C.
Was here for a work end of year review. Coffee, tea and pastry options were really good. Hotel seemed smart and a bit fancy.
B. H.
Ok rooms, good location, car park a little tight but I've been in much worse. Breakfast pretty standard for a chain hotel.
D. C.
Nice big rooms, great front of house staff. Bed was a bit hard for my liking, but still great value for money and a restful nights sleep
A. M.
I stayed over on short notice but the staff where very helpful and friendly, the room was to a high standard and the bed was very comfortable, would happily stay again.
G. G.
The hotel is nice. However the rooms are not air conditioned, the toilet is located in a different room and overall the experience is not what you would expect from a 4 Star.
D. G.
A fantastic hotel great layout of the rooms lovely staff (you do have to pay for parking ) but they go the extra mile for everything else!
M. S.
Good place to stay if you're attending an event at the NEC and don't fancy staying at one of the hotel on the campus. Nice area with several good places to eat around the hotel.
T. W.
Good quality room, excellent service and central location. Price package was very good. Only issue was rather short and thin bath; I used the shower!
B. L.
Beauiful hotel and really nice staff and very helpful .. we were late for breakfast and the lovely guy at reception ask the chef to cook us something and it was first class thanks again xx
M. M.
Awesome service from Kiran and Alicjia
We had a medical conference here and we throughly enjoyed being in a constantly pampered situation
Amazing food and great sauna steam room to relax in tbe the evening
Will be visiting again
S. H.
We had a great nights sleep. Good breakfast. Great service. Glad we could keep the car in the the carpark until we left in the afternoon 😄
f. k.
Spent five night over Easter here with two kids fantastic little spot about 15 min walk from town we never heard a noise at night staff where very helpful from reception to bar and kitchen house keeping they how they are will definitely return
A. K.
A bit dated now and needs a good lick of paint. It's ok when prices are low but wouldn't pay when other hotels are better for less money.
M. M. M.
Friendly staff, quick check in, safe and secure hotel and car park. Nice rooms and facilities, chargers r epic idea and nicely situated.
C. J.
Well i was there for a function/party..
The food was slow at being served an could have been hotter..though it was lovely...
There was about 140 people though..
Its the 3rd year of going to it...
G. W.
Met here for a meeting....room could have been better as it was effectively a bedroom with the bed removed....also no breakfast teabags in the selection....which was odd!
S. T.
Pleasant hotel and good service all in all, but the rooms are small even the executive room the bathroom was small. This is an old Novotel and the décor a little tired in places
A. D.
Initial slow check in and rooms were very tired. Location great and breakfast and service good
A. C.
Really spacious and furnished rooms, very quiet considering it's central location. Breakfast very expensive for what it was. Would easily stay again
R. F.
Room had everything required and was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel in great location right on Broad Street
A. C.
Rooms were clean but a bit dated. The lobby was modern and clean and check-in was fast. Quite expensive for what you get.
S. L.
I've not stayed here, but I did go to a conference event in one of the rooms. The bar and reception was very nice though.
N. L.
Overlooking the rooftop building works was grim....Room needs a bit of refurbishment, seems quite tired. Also the emailed invoice took a long time to arrive in my inbox, I had to phone the hotel after checkout which I don't have time to do.
B. M.
Nicely laid out and decorated. Great for a couple. Could do with a little more information about hotel facilities.
M. L.
Very clean with fresh towels etc. Good breakfast. Ideal for visiting the ICC and NIA. Reasonably priced but have to pay for parking.
C. B.
Attended the I am Phenomenal Conference. Good quality venue in terms of foyer & conference room. Clean, well maintained & staff helpful.
M. D.
The key card to my room didn't work. This required several trips to reception - most annoying. Room service telephone number unobtainable. Had to get room service to ring me via reception. Come on guys get the technology sorted!
F. U.
Brilliant customer relationship from start to finish! A few issues with noise levels. A new experience with separate toilet, could not quite get used to it.
W. T.
My stay was pleasant, staff friendly, bed was comfortable room clean but reason for not giving a higher score is I felt room was in need of a face lift and felt dated compared to other hotel chains I have stayed for less money bedroom walls looked to be wallpapered in wood chip and painted beige, and toilet small and one wall painted lavender room was also dark as had to have lights on even during the day, gym was also basic with few weights and equipment
B.
Looks like a lovely hotel, didn't actually stay but my god was it a nightmare trying to figure out where to park. They have a car park but the gate is down, they really need to put some sign up to say that it will open automatically.
T. B.
Room was nice and spacious and had lots of extras in room including Nespresso coffee machine. Comfy memory foam beds.
J. M.
Lovely hotel in an ideal location as we were at the arena all weekend.
Guy who checked us in was so friendly and nothing was a problem
A. E.
Excellent staff, well located for Icc and city centre, and good breakfast. Only criticism is that the rooms are in need of a refurbishment and the air conditioning was a bit lackluster.
J. W.
Ate and drank. Food was good, bar wasn't hugely stocked and was understaffed. Really struggled to get served at times. Rooms are good, bed was comfy.
E. J.
Super friendly staff, even my 10 year old daughter said how kind they all were. Lovely room too.
A. H.
The rooms were nice, you're not allowed guests in your room after 11, but if they get there before 11 they're allowed to stay? Flawed logic imo
A. D.
Here for business, good conference facilities. Bedrooms were great size, beds comfortable & breakfast typical buffet.
M. T.
Staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful. The room was OK but seemed basic and uninspired. Still, a good night's sleep.
J. B.
Staff that really seemed to care and were happy in their jobs! Smiles and friendly! It made my business trip a lot more pleasant!
T. f.
Staff was wonderful couldnt help enough .but the room didnt get warm and the shower drenched the bathroom .and the car parking was to expensive.
v. b.
Online check-in very simple staff very helpful when needed
Rooms very spacious and clean
Breakfast buffet style with full English or continental
Overall great stay at this hotel again
P. 1.
Excellent hotel - had a wonderful night's sleep and the breakfast was excellent. Al good so will come again.
R. D.
So far the hotel is good, rooms clean and surprising big. Staff at reception very friendly.
R. B.
Rooms were tidy and clean . Staff were happy to help. We even booked 2 more nights for later in the month.
N. T.
My next stop will be at this hotel as one of my relative stayed here and also suggested this hotel for super friendly reception and excellent rooms.
N. P.
We stayed at the family room. It was clean. Friendly service at the reseption. Close to all attractions.
E. R.
Staff were friendly and welcoming and the room was spotlessly clean. 5 stars!
S.
Lovely hotel. Steep parking prices though. Conference suites however were well laid out and of good size
C. N.
Good size room and bathrooms. The toilet is in a separate room from bathroom. Not a deal breaker. Breakfast is just ok
E. H.
Used to be a really good hotel, but on this trip it didn't live up to expectations and the rooms where a little tired.
G. A.
Great location, friendly staff, nice and clean.
Only downsides were constant horn honking in road outside all night and thinking the car park was closed as metal shutters were down.
L. G.
Perfect. Staff very helpful and friendly
Rooms were clean and very high standard
Food was delicious
M. T.
Basic City Centre location but being central means you hear the nightlife. This hotel was extremely convenient for the recent Velo Birmingham sportive, which started on Broad Street, just outside the hotel.
i. a.
The hotel services and rooms are amazing. Overall it has been a great experienc.
G. L.
Lovely hotel! Reception team was very professional! Will definitely stay again!
e. r.
Really spacious rooms and the bed was really comfortable. Plus the breakfast selection was great
R. M.
Spotless, great breakfast, friendly staff, pretty full when I was there but no noise issues. Beds comfy
S. K.
Nice staff, room decent etc. Although has anyone noticed the horrible sewage smell every time you use the sink tap?
S. A.
The Receptionist was great and very cheerful. The carpet upstairs old and no drinking water to boil in the kettle. Needs updating
J. C.
Great place to stay room was spacious and clean.
Good location and near to many restaurants and clubs.
A. O.
Welcome at reception good. Rooms grim & in need of modernisation. Did not feel like a 4*hotel.
S. D.
Smooth check-in, very nice rooms with great facilities. Bar had a good choice and reasonably priced.
P. W.
Central location with small secure car park. Can suffer from road and reveller noise but higher floors are quieter. Small bar area and restaurant.
S. M.
Meeting facilities were brilliant and the food was lovely. Quiet rooms for sleeping and clean.
M. I. R.
Room condition / standard is not that of NOVOTEL.. you are paying Novotel price but staying in Travelodge.. (Even new Travelodges are better).
M. J.
Perfect location for barclaycard arena , restaurants and shopping , the hotel room was clean and staff were friendly plus we had safe car parking for the weekend stay
R. H.
All lovely. Right in the centre of Broad St. Perfect for Christmas shopping and a datenight after. Lovely room. Can't fault our stay here.
A. G.
Thank you very much for the free upgrade, spent a wonderful night there 😁 nice meeting rooms and restaurant as well!
D. R.
Good hotel, although the location can be noisy with the number of bars in broad street, got woken up each night by shouting, singing and police sirens
G. K.
Fairly standard Novotel hotel. Nice reception and helpful staff but can be a bit loud with all the clubs and bars outside.
G. Y.
Room was very basic and the view was awful. But it was clean and reception staff and bar staff were all friendly and helpful.
i. l.
Nice hotel with good facilities. Really enjoyed the well stocked buffet breakfast. Great location for exploring Birmingham.
S. R.
A more accessible room this time - a walk in shower. Although the floor was tiled so quite slippy after a shower.
C. C.
A great hotel with superb friendly staff. Special mention to Kinga and ms Diaz. Also Theo the basketball player.
Highly recommended. Excellent
S. L.
Excellent location with good parking and modern facilities. Staff are lovely and very helpful, good range of food options too.
T. h.
Quick check in and check out process. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Extra beds were set up for the children.
J. M.
Clean but ageing room, corridor didn't smell great and I'm still waiting on the invoice they promised to email me.
M. G.
I didn't stay, but my wife did. the upgrade was very welcome and she said the staff were excellent and very helpful.
F. F.
Nice rooms at any price, dont be scared if u find a deal on a room that is to low price for the room, because they are goodb
A. A. B. W.
Nice hotel. Our usual stop in central Birmingham. Friendly staff. Quick checkin. Great breakfasts.
S. S.
Business meeting rooms very good parking underground tight spaces and you are very likely to curb your wheels if you have a big vehicle
S.
Great location. Issue with room booking promptly resolved. Overall excellent stay.
H. A.
Had a wonderful experience! The service was perfect amd the standards of the room too 👌👌
D. M.
Nice clean room, staff was very helpful even though it was a busy evening, really enjoyed breakfast
C. S.
Lovely hotel in excellent location. just lots of street noise in the rooms as no double glazing
M. D. C.
Attended a conference here. Not my first time to the hotel to a function. Nice place.
D. E.
Nice place, clean rooms, was a fair amount of road noise even on the 6th floor as drivers were beeping at each other.
V. S.
I've used this hotel for work. Breakfast was amazing and the room was was very big and comfortable.
F. E.
All perfect, for work reasons I've been on several occasions, 10 staff ,10 rooms, 10 food, 20 location
M. D.
The Toyota Avensis of Executive rooms.
If you know that car you know what I mean
N. B.
Novotel is always reliable for a clean comfortable hotel. the underground parking was really useful too.
B. N.
Bat staff were lovely and served your order quickly, really liked the playlist they had on at the bar too 😍
k. h.
Comfortable, quiet city centre hotel. Only 36 parking spaces, and the cost of these is quite high. But very convenient to the city centre.
M. E.
Like any Novotel, very good. Bar available along with conference facilities and plenty of seating in and around the lobby.
d. e.
Staff couldn't be more helpful, breakfast was great, but the noise outside from the happy party goers stopped me from going to sleep until 4am.
M. F.
My experience could have been improved by a greater selection healthy evening bar snacks and also my room was next to the lift and therefore noisy
K. W.
Room was nice and clean, central location. Myself and family stayed here for graduation at the symphony hall
A. J.
Kiran on reception was always available to help and provided a great amount of support and guidance during my stay.
C. P.
Beds are comfortable but having toilet separate from sink werid set up
m. c.
We run a church service every Sunday. The facilities are great. The team are really helpful. Everything is easy and smooth.
R. P.
Rooms fairly basic but clean. However someone was let into my room at 02:30am. Still waiting to hear the outcome of this.

J. W.
Attended a staff Christmas party. Nice venue, but the drinks were expensive. Overall, a great experience.
N. F.
Conference. Facilities fine. Good rooms for conference. Let down on inspection of public areas and toilet facilities.
S. S.
The hotel was very nice but the road works around were very noisy and made it difficult to get to.
M. H.
Great service from the moment we walked in. Would definitely use the hotel again as it is ideal for city visits.
J. W.
Hotel was nice, clean and felt safe. Not enough plugs in the room!
D. W.

The hotel was nice, the staff were a bit out of their depth with so many people attending and the event itself was disappointing.
