Awesome boutique hotel with fabulous bar/restaurant (amazing choice of food and drinks), loved the decor! Rooms were clean and comfy. Couldn't hear any of the noise from downstairs in my room on 2nd floor. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was amazing. Parking at the hotel (only £12) and only a short walk into town. Can highly recommend!

A terrific hotel!
The room was clean, tidy and huge.
A complimentary mini bar whilst not over stocked was a nice surprise.
The location was ideal with some nice bars and eateries well within walking distance and the city centre well within reach

Didn't stay at the hotel, just used the bar. Was pleasant, not too busy. Bar staff were attentive and polite. Prices a little steep, around £5 per pint, but to be expected in a hotel bar I guess.
There was a live guitarist on in the bar which was a nice touch, if a little loud to try and talk over.
Overall, nice first experience and would go back.

Nicely-done hotel room, but beware that it’s impossible to avoid the music/noise/bass from the ground floor restaurant/bar in your room in the evening.
The evening front desk staff assured me that the music - live or recorded - would end at 11pm, but of course, the real floor-bangers *started* at 11pm, ended finally at 1am. (The morning front desk staff were v helpful and understanding.)
This is fine if you're going out till late yourself, but would not recommend on a Fri/Sat for a stay with kids...

It was a lovely experience...
Service always is the key !
We had some concerns about our room and reception lady was very helpful did some changes and we had a lovely night at the hotel . Excellent location , delicious breakfast and also you have the option of a drink before you go to bed .
Breakfast restaurant waiters were very attentive.
Thanks.. I would love to be back.

If you're looking for somewhere to get a decent coffee before 8am, with parking outside, this is the place. Oh, and did I mention the lovely decor and that it will be served to wherever you're sitting. There's even an excellent coveted area at the rear. And they do excellent food👍

Very nice hotel, convenient and pleasant location with an ample bar should the need be felt. Checkin was quick and easy. Excellent room, plenty of space with tasteful if restrained decor. Perfectly adequate for my overnight stay but would have served equally well for a short city break. Breakfast was a quirk as the full cooked breakfast does not come with any eggs unless requested. Luckily plenty of choices but I did wait a long time for my food to come. Other than that certainly no complaints and I’d happily stay again.

Although the staff are nice, there seemed to be an expectation of us knowing what to do here. It was our first time. The app didn't have good and I've just returned from Scotland where bar service is not acceptable. Also none of the staff wore masks...

I had a meal here on Thursday before attending the escape room around the corner. Hospitality was excellent formal, warm and welcoming. All staff were friendly and so Polite. The establishment was stunning, especially the solarium, the interior decorations were alluring- picture perfect. Perfect for a wedding reception. We were treated so well we returned after the escape room for dessert. The taste of the food was exquisite, and so was the presentation in which it came from the chef. Would really recommend this to anyone.

Beautiful place to eat. The staff were amazing, really friendly and helpful. I am gluten free and there were plenty of options and staff were excellent at remembering and offering suggestions. I will definitely be coming back.

Nice little venue with overall enjoyable atmosphere. Had some good live music on too, singer was great
K. M.
Our large group of 12 had the private rear room to ourselves which was nice but the background music was far too loud. This is mentioned often in other reviews. Does anyone in management listen? Food was ok ish once it eventually arrived. We had to send one mussels dish back as the mussels were not fresh. The delay in the meals being served was shocking as we had pre ordered all the dishes. And, they actually lost a lot of money as no one came to see if we wanted more drinks throughout the meal.
Such a shame, it's a nice venue, but the service doesn't live up to it.

Nice cozy pub and friendly staffs , also the hotel was top notch well ventilated and tidy rooms , reception staffs were pleasant and understanding
A. H.
Nice clean joint with some lovely looking food options. Popped in at 5ish and music was so loud we couldn't have a conversation let alone contemplate eating here, other than that I'd love to frequent the place
B. H.
Room was beautifully cleaned and fresh looking. Receptionist upon arrival very helpful and friendly made you feel very welcome. Will definitely stay there again.
M. J.
Love the atmosphere, the music the ambience. I normally go there to eat and chill and I am going to keep going. The team are very friendly and attentive.

Beautiful hotel, very personal touch. Great food and a lovely bar.
D. W.
Only popped in for a couple of drinks but can highly recommend on the basis of the friendliness of the staff and the lengths to which they go to keep it spic and span. Jeremy Clarkson xxx
M. H.
Far too loud inside so we ate outside. Food was surprisingly very good indeed and staff were very helpful and attentive. One star removed because of the noise inside. Management should look at this seriously because we we not able to communicate with bar staff even though we were shouting...shame because the venue is really nice inside and looks out over the lovely St Paul's Square. We won't be going back though because the music is too loud inside.

We had bottomless brunch and stayed overnight for my daughter's 40th. What a beautiful hotel and fabulous service. Our glasses at brunch were topped up immediately and the food was yummy. staff are so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back as soon as we can.

Enjoyed a lovely anniversary meal here today and the food was exceptional! Vegan options were really flavoursome and the service was wonderful! Can’t believe we hadn’t been before
L. T.
Really nice place , it’s was clean and tidy . Only down side and something we wish we’d read was that it fancy’s its self as some sort of club when the evening hits. At all times the volume was just a couple of notches too high. It could be heard from the room well into the night and at the beginning of the night, we opted to leave so we could actually hear each other.
In an odd way, the normally expensive beer was about right, such as peroni at £5.20 but alternatives were really expensive , neck oil ain’t £6.20 a pint anywhere but here.
The staff were brilliant and honest, at one point my partner had left her handbag lying around and we didn’t realise until the next day. In the morning we found that it had been handed in to lost property by a member of staff.
S. S.
Good food busy atmosphere and lovely building. Mistake on the bill but soon sorted. We had lovely roast beef dinner and lots of wine. Would say well worth a visit and drink plenty!!!
S. B.
We went during lockdown to film outside for instagram (jamiebell_13) beautiful venue cant wait to go back when open. Been back after lockdown and had some drinks. Really nice venue dog friendly too
L. C.
Great place lovely food great atmosphere. We did the lunchtime bottomless brunch amazing value, great service.
S. H. (.
Nice food, music can sometimes be a bit loud if you're trying to have a conversation. I met my future wife here on our first date.
A. K.
Mediocre food and noisy hooligans everywhere. If shouting screaming and food lacking seasoning is your thing, you'll love it
D. N.
Always a good place to go to! Good decor and great staff who are always friendly.
D.
Bottomless Brunch is good value. For how long we waited for drinks to come you'd have thought they would have got the order right.
Service got better as we went on.
Nice, chilled atmosphere.
C. M.
Good service and good food nice atmosphere too.
J. E.
Great bar and restaurant. Breakfast, brunch or dinner this place is up there with the best in Brum.
I recommend the tomahawk steak 😋
V. B.
Very nice place, the Irish music was cool, and service at the bar quite fast, top!:)
A. M.
Great Service. Fancy place where drinks are priced to match but the cocktails were very tasty! Our waiter was lovely too.
Star knocked for no Amex acceptance.
EDIT: If you pay via the app (Suburban Inns) it allows you to use Apple Pay and takes Amex. Rating updated accordingly.

Had a family meal with my elderly uncle and aunt and the service was excellent, everyone was really friendly and helpful. Plus the food was delicious, highly recommended
b. l.
Nice, well staffed. Music is so loud you can't talk easily shame will avoid.
P. B.
Service was excellent. But the bench we had to sit down on was OK for a while but the longer the evening went on got very uncomfortable. Food was OK not the biggest of portions for the price. The menu was limited with the choice of food on offer.
J.
The very nice place with really good cocktails
D. C.
Nice staff, vibe, environment for a sunny evening relaxing. Great drinks.
O. Q.
Lovely food. I had the summer set menu, 3 courses for £20. The portion sizes are decent and the food was nice. Friendly and attentive staff.
Cocktails are nice but pricey.
Restaurant is modern and stylish. It's a good place to visit for special occasions.
S. K.
One of Birminghams best kept secrets. Food amazing, cocktail menu extensive, decor beautiful - perfect for pics, staff are some of the best in Birmingham!! A must visit spot opposite a beautiful church. Loads to visit in the area.
Ps. Stay at the hotel - it's beautiful 😍
S.
Cozy & Chic! Great place to unwind with classic gin cocktails :-)
G. D.
The service in this place is really below average.
I counted 5 members of staff wandering round in a practically empty restaurant yet I had to wait almost 30 minutes for my bill from the point my plates were collected. The attention to customers needs some immediate improvement.
The food overall was alright, nothing I would particularly rave about.
W. P.
Amazing! Utterly wonderful. Fab hotel, everything you could wish for and staff that are second to none. Thank you for a wonderful stay and being such amazing staff! Looking forward to seeing you again soon x
S. W.
Great service from staff, love the venue
D. T.
Had a lovely meal , service and company... Celebrating a special birthday 😊
T. P.
Lovely rooms, lovely staff, beds could have been comfier other than that was brilliant
M. P.
Friendly service and the staff can’t be faulted. The serving staff at breakfast and also the reception staff are efficient and helpful. Location is extremely good if you need to visit Central Birmingham and this particular part is leafy, pretty and steeped in history. Minor gripes are the lack of instructions for coffee machine, small sinks in the bedroom and fairly tight parking area which is first come first served, rather than paid reservations. All in all, I liked it and would visit again.
H. T.
Saint Paul's House was amazing for bottomless brunch. I will definitely be back. The food was delicious and the selection of drinks were great. The girl that served us was AMAZING, unfortunately I can't remember her name. She was so friendly and really attentive, checking if we wanted more drinks frequently which let's be honest, is the most important thing when having bottomless brunch.
A. H.
My wife and I stayed here for a couple of nights so that we could attend comic con at the NEC. The location is wonderful — very quiet and peaceful with some great bars and restaurants nearby. The breakfasts were generous and reasonably good-value, and the staff were all extremely helpful and friendly.
Although the room was great, ours was located on the first floor right next to the bar which was obnoxiously loud. We came in from nights out on both Friday and Saturday and couldn’t believe how much we could hear in the room itself. This was a real shame as it was marketed as a ‘superior’ room and really felt more like a hostel room in the late/early hours. This did not ruin our stay but should be considered if you’re a light sleeper or don’t rely on copious bottles of wine to send you off.
G. N.
Lovely food, and very efficient staff, was very busy but still great service, will definitely be back!
J. B.
Nice place, very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, good selection of drinks including mocktails.great food
S. D.
Lovely hotel, stayed there for our visit to see KISS at the Arena. Great location, just over a 10 min walk to the venue.
The hotel staff are very friendly and are very customer focused. The rooms are well furnished and decorated, giving the guest an extremely pleasant experience. We had a complimentary mini bar in our room, so it added to our stay. We will definitely look to stay there in future. Thank you very much.
E. H.
A really enjoyable stay, and will definitely come again. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the style of Saint Paul's House is very gorgeous, inside and out. Our room came with a complimentary mini-bar, which is always a plus! The bed was really comfortable, and it was very clean and well equipped (it even had an iron and ironing board).
My only issue was with the music at the bar being loud - we had intended to eat at the restaurant at 8pm, but by that time my partner and I couldn't hold a conversation over it. I imagine if you are earlier it would not have been a problem.Likewise, while the music did stop at 11:30, up until that point we could hear it from our room on the second floor, so it something to factor in if you're looking for an early night.
V. H.
Just had some drinks and a few nibbles after a visit to another bar. We were popping in for one but ended up staying a few hours. Lovely outside seating area and some great tunes! The food was OK but nothing special but perfectly fine with a few drinks. I would definitely go back & maybe try the restaurant.
T. A.
This is a very nice bar/ pub and a huge step-up on what went before. The outside area is an urban haven and the piano/ singer on Saturday evening was a real nice touch. The food is ok pub grub, with a twist, but was a touch disappointed. Overall, we almost bought an apartment in St Paul's a while back and if we had if done, this place would have undoubtedly become our 'local'. Will definitely continue to visit in the future thought.
A. J.
Excellent for a pre dinner drink. Haven't tried the food but looks excellent
J. V.
Lodged for one night for a Post Malone show, absolutely loved the room, very spacious, clean and kept well - Complimentary mini bar!
The atmosphere of the bar area on a Saturday night was amazing, there was live music and plenty of people.
Would definitely stay here again, makes a nice change from the chain hotels.
S. L.
Great atmosphere. Classy establishment.

Superb bottomless brunch...staff were attentive and great for topping up drinks. Food was really nice and good menu choice. Fantastic setting and worth every penny.
K. B.
My mums wedding reception was hosted here .. the staff were friendly and the room was lovely
G. B.
Stay here on business. New favourite hotel.
Visit Birmingham around once a month and wont stay anywhere else.
Complimentary booze in the fridge, decent food great easy parking, lovely rooms well finished and fair price especially considering an Ibis costs the same.
Lovely service, nice barstaff and new tvs. The breakfast is also awesome, you can get steak and eggs!
Location is good, easy to get to and close to centre that I can walk to meetings. Also you have a lovely view of the square and church and the hotel itself is an awesome place to host meetings/ drink/ lunch or dinner.
Only gripe is the mattresses are quite soft.
Otherwise well worth a look, nicely done!

My girlfriend son booked her a room as a birthday treat. First impressions is very good, there is a bar down stairs, a busy one. We booked our self's in ,Marina greeted us on front desk ,sorted our room and parking out, we made our way to the room, very nice well decorated with grey ash look modern, sadly the room was too small for our needs, we have our granddaughter with us too, my girlfriend went down to the front desk to change over to a bigger room, the family rooms had been fully booked, but Marina took my girlfriend to a much better size room, Marina has been very helpful to us , lovely lady. Just one little moan, the breakfast was slow, there was one girl on her own, trying her best bless her, I didn't get her name, but she deserves a pat on the back too for looking after us and other people staying here. It's a lovely little hotel, I'd recommend it, ideal for couples looking for a weekend away together, my girlfriend and I will be coming back. We'd like to say thank you to the staff BIG thanks to Marina.
I. W.
Nice hotels, rooms slightly basic, but with all the home comforts. Complementary mini bar too and a great bar/restaurant downstairs. Very lively in the evenings on a Saturday night, but good cocktails and friendly staff
R. C.
Brilliant service, drinks a little expensive.
j. r.
Great place but the bed was too firm for my liking
S. F.
Excellent boutique hotel. Very cheap for the quality of stay Comfortable beds. Very clean. Excellent choice of complementary mini bar with prosecco and soft drinks. It's above a very loud bar but the sound proofing is great and can hardly hear anything. The bar closes to Joe public at 12 ish but hotel patrons can stay longer and pit the drinks on the room. Excellent staff.
C. P.
Had a lovely Sunday bottomless brunch! Our waitress was lovely and they were very accommodating of our dietry requirements. They always made sure we were topped up, will definitely be back again soon!
C. M.
We visited for the first time on Saturday as a group for bottomless brunch for my friends birthday, we had an altercation with some older men outside who were way too drunk and verbally abusive. Management handled it straight away and managed to get them
To leave which was great, especially impressed with our waitress Becky who was amazing the whole time! Venue was lovely and we had a great time.
T. T.
Been here a few times. Great atmosphere. Best truffle chips I’ve ever tasted
M. H.
Lovely decor, live band was pleasant even from the restaurant and a general good atmosphere. Service was great until 10pm and then the staff seemed more concerned with resetting all the tables than caring for the few remaining customers in the restaurant.. Understandable.. But not great, so we didn't bother ordering dessert as it was going slow by this point.
Tables are good.. Not too overheard and spaced out.
Food.. Not so good.. Bread wasn't tasty, meat board was not as described and would better fit a venue in Glasgow or Newcastle (with a low life expectancy) rather than the Jewellery Quarter.. Fish was average.. Lamb was ok.. Certainly not bad.. But not good..
Wine.. Limited list in size and lack of high end wines but adequate for a week night.
New venue so will hopefully improve with time - I wouldn't rule out a return.
A.
Dropped in for breakfast one day, very good food indeed. The hot food is cooked to order so choose the full breakfast and whilst it's cooking, fill your face at the continental breakfast buffet, they have a decent selection of cold meats, cheeses, fruit, cereals and juices. Smart place, has a nice looking bar with what looks like a wide range of drinks too. Highly recommended and will visit again.
J. B.
Air con constantly on and couldn't be switched off in the room. Requested it off but never happened so woke up cold and with a terrible sore throat. Shame as otherwise a really nice place to stay.
S. G.
Brilliant service and accommodation. The staff were brilliant and the rooms were stylish, clean and lovely bathrooms too. Will definitely choose st Paul's again. Thanks to the team for making my friends hen do smooth and stress free.
l. L.
Nice area of Birmingham. It is located in front of St Paul's square with St.Pauls church a few meters away. It is very nice to wake up to that view.staff is helpful. If you want a drink you might want to tried the bar.
Rooms are very spacious and cute. I liked how it'been decorated. There is basically everything you would need for a trip. Coffee mach, hair blower, iron. Only bad point if you on the parking side you can hear noises of the restaurant down on ground floor and if you are room is on street side you might be bothered by the noise outside as windows are not really correctly isolated.
C. W.
Chilled Atmosphere and lovely decor. Went here for lunch and fell in love with it, traditional dished done very well. Private dining available and also an outside space. Will be ba k to try the cocktail menu in the funky contemporary bar
G. W.
Since refurbishment and reopening, this bar has completely changed and arguably fits in a little more to its surroundings. The bar is spacious and offers a decent selection of beers, lager, spirits and cocktails. During our visit there was an offer on cocktails before 7 of £5. Overall, a decent bar in the lovely surroundings of At. Paul's Square.
L. M.
5 stars for the deco and feel! We went to Saint Paul's House by chance late one Sunday night after a long walk. It was close to 10 pm, the kitchen had closed down, but were still doing drinks. Had a pot of tea and cider. They do a brunch offer for £25 pp unlimited cocktails and sangria. Would definitely go back to try their food.

Mixed opinion about this hotel/bar/restaurant. Went for a meal on a summery Saturday night with hubby. I booked us a table on-line. I had to phone ahead on the night as we were delayed trying to park so we were running late, the lady I spoke to was great and said she would inform the floor staff. We arrived 30 minutes late in the end, when we went in to the eating area, there was no-one to check us in, the restaurant wasn't actually busy, we hovered around for a minute or so, as I was about to approach a very busy bar person to ask about being seated, a waiter came out of the kitchen going about his business so I stopped him to get us seated, after some confusion about how he should proceed, we chose where we wanted to sit ourselves - in the conservatory area. It was fairly busy in there, a few groups were stood up amongst the seated part. We didn't want to sit there eating with people stood around, I spotted a random table that had been shoved towards the corner of the room but there were no chairs, we asked to be seated there if some chairs could be found and if the table could be moved more into the room. The waiter was polite and friendly and happy to do this but it was all very haphazard and then he kept us standing waiting as he was interrupted by a customer who knew him and flagged him down to say hello! I had to remind him that we were waiting to sit! So he sorted that but didn't wipe the table down. So the service was a bit sloppy to begin with, spilled drinks when being placed on the table, but improved, a different person to the original guy served us for each course, we had three. The staff were polite and service was good on the whole without any delays. We discovered our initial waiter had only been there a couple of days which might explain the disorganization, but he didn't seem to have been trained but he was friendly and polite and we were willing to bear with him as he was new. I really enjoyed my main course in particular which was Chicken Supreme, I could really taste the flavours and it was filling. The avocado in my starter wasn't ripe and actually took some cutting/chewing. Chocolate and Orange Sponge was on the dessert menu so I couldn't resist as I love chocolate orange and I enjoyed this one. All-in-all, we had a good couple of hours there, the evening wasn't awful, but if more organised it could have been more pleasant. The atmosphere is bustly in the main area around the bar (there was a live performer singing) and more relaxed in the conservatory and eating area. It's unlikely that I would choose it over other places that I know of to eat/drink in Birmingham though.
J. F.
Did an amazing job for our wedding reception the staff were brilliant and very helpful
N. M.
Went for some food with friends. I had the duo of lamb, which was good. Decent beer on tap too.
It's a premium sort of place, but feels quite casual at the same time. Pricey, but nice.
R. T.
Great relaxing vibe in one of the smartest bars around. Staff excellent
S. S.
Came here for brunch on Sunday. Raluca and her team made us feel so welcome. Lots of measures in place to protect against COVID. They went above and beyond to make our visit great. Thank you so much!
J. W.
Nice bar in a small boutique hotel. I have not stayed at the hotel, but drinks and food at the bar/ restaurant are great. Nice selection of gin. They do sometimes have live music as well. Very stylish place with a cool crowd
J. M.
Went to a meeting here.. so only had pot of tea but it looked very nice the restaurant and bar area are of anextremely high standard and reception area for hotel was welcoming. Hopefully can visit it again on a more social call
D. V.
High quality fittings and decor. Mainly a respectable crowd and not too rowdy. Large restaurant that's gets busy. Good for larger groups.
Menu has good variety and prices were reasonable for this area.
Good choice at the bar too.
A. o.
This place is beautiful.. well staffed and spotlessly cleaned..
P. C.
Very freindly staff clean rooms and good food
L. Y.
Great service, tasty food. Bottomless brunch well worth it!

Fantastic Boutique Hotel. Excellent Customer Service Given by ALL very courteous attentive Staff at all TIMES.
Food Excellent 1st CLASS 5 *****
Made My Dear Wife Mrs Ellen Briscoe Birthday a very memorable Day indeed.
Definitely Recommend.
G. J.
Good value, clean, parking and decent food. I turned up at 3am and the guy on reception was more than happy cooking me a fish finger sarnie. Well he said he was! My go to hotel when staying in Brum.
K. H.
Lovely place. Modern and welcoming. Great Terrace area. Good service.
S. H.
Great place - done out superbly!
Good food and wine reasonably priced
Not just a pub, not just a restaurant - but both and so nice to be able to take our drinks through to the bar after finishing our meal to enjoy the live music.
Would recommend and definitely be going again!
S. P.
Just stunning. Beautiful building, great drinks. Lovely food. Fabulous rooms. Lovely staff, great price. Ten times better than hotels I paid twice as much for x
C. G.
Food was fantastic... Try the mushrooms in garlic 🤤
D. M.
Nice hotel, friendly staff and food is excellent. Recommended
R. K.
First stay at the st Paul's really nice hotel and the breakfast was good, only down side was the room over the way from us were slamming doors and arguing most the night and morning ?
D. S.
I want to give this place five stars, so need to go back and try the food and hotel - which both me and the wife decided was a must.
Great piano act early evening followed by awesome acoustic group.
Drinks selection, ingredients and service was very good - this will become a regular little haunt 👍
I. M.
Bar was OK. Hotel was OK. It could be so much more than it is....
G. P.
Now this is one great place to be.. recommended by the bar staff to try the Lamb burger on my first flying visit 3 weeks ago which was superb when I didn't want a large meal....
Dinner for two last week was excellent.. and great waitress service too!
We'll be back!
s. w.
Large ground floor bar and restaurant as well as a hotel. The standard rooms are on the small side but stylish and adequate for a short stay. The bar is never overly busy when I tend to go, so the staff are attentive.
J. E.
I really want to be able to give this place a better rating as it's a stones throw from my apartment, but I've been here many times over the last 12 months and unfortunately it's just not improving. On Friday and Saturday nights it's always busy and people seem to be having a good time, but on Sundays the staff seem like they're half asleep or just not quite with it. There is usually a manager running around who knows what to do, but the others will struggle to deserve a tip! I can't fault the venue itself as it's a great location and the decor is nice and cosey. The live music can be a bit on the loud side if it's quiet, especially if you're eating. The food I personally think could be improved significantly, especially for the price, which isn't ridiculous by any means, but there are better choices in the area for the same money.
K. D.
Nice place, staff polite and helpful.
W. K. M.
Difficult to find entrance when there's a party in the bar. Cold on arrival, not helpful if you need a shower. Interesting design, although less practical when you combine work/business with leisure.
G. B.
Perfectly situated with views of St. Paul's Square. There's a decent bar and restaurant downstairs but you can't hear any noise in the rooms, which are clean with complimentary WiFi and mini-bar.
P. C.
Great bar with food and plenty of space. Nice outside non smoking terrace at the rear. Fantastic location on the square and also has accommodation.
N. K.
Beautiful hotel and bar with a friendly atmosphere and staff. Would definitely return.
G. H.
This hotel is really pretty and there is a great atmosphere about the place.
Sadly the hotel room itself didn't quite live up to the rest of the place. The bathroom sink was very difficult to use without splashing water everywhere, the mattress was very soft (both my partner and I woke up with a sore back and we had to play white noise into the room to cover noise from the bar below and those outside.
It was a very beautiful room with a free minibar and lovely decor, but the points above just meant it took the shine off.
M. E.
Would have been 5 stars if we'd have got some sleep before 2am! Excellent location and a lovely hotel. Great deals on cocktails during the afternoon as well
E. E.
Lovely pub and the staff are very welcoming.
S. B.
Nice place the sound was not set right.
M. G.
St Paul's House is an upmarket bar with a generally pleasant atmosphere and lots of space. There is a good choice of drinks. The prices are high (£10 for a double whisky) but not unusually so for the City Centre. Service was polite but not particularly friendly.
M. G.
Eclectic mix of clientele. Amazing range of drinks. Slightly expensive, though may be partly due to location
S. T.
I had my 21st birthday meal here and the staff were really nice. I was really please with the whole service and would definitely recommend going there. 10/10 for the service.
Thank you so much!
M. B.
very expensive and dress code is formal, bouncer was rude to my friends about their attire. bartenders are great, great selection of cocktails. you can buy bottles of spirits for extortionate amounts...the sort of money only a show off would spend.
J. E.
Enjoyed my stay here. I will definatly be returning. The rooms were excellent the manager sabian looked after us well and made our stay comfortable. The location is in a nice square in the jewellery quarter. Parking spaces available.
E. F.
Raluka (I hope I spelt it right! So sorry if not!) was amazing, so accommodating and made sure she looked after me and my partner any time we went to the bar, always smiling and was just lovely! Would definitely revisit for her amazing service😁
L. G.
Good Resturaunt and Hotel. Serving food at the 3 main times of the day. Situated on St Paul's Square it is ideal if your around that area. Friendly Staff and very neat bar. P.S the coffee is brilliant
v. f.
Had a wonderful meal for four today. The sunday roast beef was delicious.
Our waitress Ambia was brilliant.
Food was amazing.
Will definitely be back😊
M. W.
Nice clean room, excellent staff. The late night food options were largely unavailable, but the fish finger sandwiches and Malbec come recommended.
J. M.
Top quality, the manager extended the £5 cocktails for us too. We came back towards the end of the evening to find great live music, should have stayed here all night!
Y.
The location of this hotel is stunning. I regularly go here for food and cocktails and have never been disappointed. Have stayed in hotel before and rooms are quirky and clean.
B. J.
Really nice combination of modern and historic theme set in a beautiful piece of Birmingham. Staff were extremely friendly and efficient. Only slight downside is that it is slightly pricey. Food was very nice but portion size for dinner was on the small size.
F. M.
Nice location, building, restaurant, shower. Complimentary mini bar is smashing. Room is a bit small but we'll appointed. Would definitely go back.
M. K.
My 'go-to' place since moving to Birmingham.
R. P.
The last time I visited Saint Paul's house it was known as the rope walk. I much prefer this incarnation of the place, it has a great atmosphere with a good selection of ales and spirits. Won't be leaving it so long to visit next time.
P. W.
3rd or 4th visit but sadly very noisy despite paying for upgraded room. Didn't sleep :( will probably go elsewhere in the future as we were only offered a small discount against a future stay. Shame really as its got great potential
L. H.
Nice place to have a drink
P. S.
Lovely hotel in St Paul's Square. Jewellery Quarter I Birmingham. Attentive staff . Great atmosphere. Close to the Jam House. Jools Hollands music restaurant. Also other great restaurants nearby.
J. M.
Lovely place, mixed generations which I liked, liked, live music, great tunes played, bar staff friendly, clean and fresh looking and would definitely recommend this place to my friends.

D. W.
Really attentive staff and great atmosphere. The place has a really nice vibe. Will be visiting again.
M. G.
We had a New Year's Eve party and the staff at St Paul's House helped organise everything well. The food was great and when one order went wrong they quickly resolved the issue and offered the course free of charge.
K. T.
Went for bottomless brunch for a friends birthday. We had a fantastic time. The food was great, drinks were flowing and our servers Zahra and Ria were fabulous. Cannot thank them enough they really made our experience. We all had a lovely time and the birthday girl really enjoyed herself
D. A.
Nice looking hotel and bar but room v noisy as it faces the square with a lot of road noise and no double glazing in the room. Room also v cold despite asking for the heating to be turned up
J. F.
Lovely place. Chilled, lovely decor. Food nice. Not amazing but nice. Would t
Recommend.
R.
The coffee was the best I'd had anywhere in the world!!!! The food was delicious, and the staff friendly. Can't wait to go back and have more coffee.
A. B.
We went for a drink on the way home, lovely venue and location. Previously we have eaten here before, excellent food and service. Would visit here again.
L. S.
Lovely outside area which is covered. Good atmosphere
K.
Quite expensive but it is safe and a very nice environment.
Mind that bottom step ladies when u come off tho. Saw several ladies slip up several times on the way out.
M. H.
Great bar. Really chilled with lovely winter garden. Food tastes good and is reasonably priced.
M. H.
Mainly stayed in the bar area as had a client meeting. I enjoyed the ambience. Did help that the Bar Staff were welcoming.
T. R.
The attention to detail at this place is second to none. The staff, the drinks, the music, the food and overall experience is second to none. A fabulous asset to St Pauls Square, to the Jewellery Quarter and to Birmingham
D. S.
Classy bar with a decent menu. Not cheap, but that's not it's market. Lovely decor in the new refurb. It had definitely gone upmarket from it's days as the Ropewalk.
J. P.
Amazing atmosphere with the simplicity of a piano and singer. Fantastic food and perfectly professional yet friendly staff. Perfect date material
s. m.
Chic, modern, they always do amazing cocktails.
L. S.
Great place to visit. Highly recommend the cocktail masterclass. Staff really good helpful and friendly. Definitely worth a visit.
A. H.

I. D.
Good location, lovely decor and ambiance, great bar staff made some lovely cocktails. Highly recommended.
C. E.
Tom was lovely but don’t have the pancakes due to extreme lack of syrup. Donuts were insane and the breakfast was above average.
Go Tom

K. E.
Great central location, attentive staff. Hotel was clean and well maintained. Good food and cocktails!
R. W.
very good boutique hotel, rooms was a little small but otherwise high standard, not 5 star as no TV remote control in room and air con was intermitantly faulty
P. P.
It's nicely done out but nothing special or original. Sort of place you take someone on a first date so they don't think you're a scruff
M. H.
Great value bottomless brunch £25, time for 6 or 7 prosecco - fabulous food and great size of portions
R. M.
Lovely dog friendly bar with excellent staff.
T. M.
Attended for a works' Christmas meal and drinks. Food and wine was excellent, service was very good, couldn't fault the facilities
C. M.
Beautiful rooms. Hotel is perfectly situated between the city centre and the Jewellery Quarter. Lots of good bars and restaurants nearby.
A. M.
An atmospheric bar and restaurant in the heart of Jewellery Quarter, this is a great place to go for cocktails or good quality casual dining.
The exposed brick interior is warm, open plan with plenty of comfortable seating. Unlike many bars these days, you’re not overwhelmed by televisions in every corner and this can only be a plus.
The house cocktails are quite pricy, but are of a high quality. Bar staff will also happily make those classics which aren’t on the menu.
The food menu is seasonal, offers a number of vegetarian options and is reasonably priced for the quality. Risotto is particularly to be recommended. Bar snacks are also available
Overall - a great place for a bite to eat or after work drinks, with a lovely location on St Paul’s Square.
L. K.
Great cocktails with a £5 happy hour until 7pm. The atmosphere was great and service was too.
E. C.
