Reviews of Premier Inn London Croydon Town Centre hotel
A great stay. Couldn’t fault the staff, happy to help with everything! Service was very good especially at breakfast! Requested items for the bedroom, and they happily obliged. Room faultless, would stay again!
Great room, great facilities, HDMi slot in the wall for connecting your own devices, ample of space for your things, very comfy bed, great shower didn't want to get out of it! Would recommend!
Pleasant enough room, comfy bed, decent shower & pretty quiet. All you really want from a basic chain hotel really.
There is no air in the room really hot , to sleep with a air conditioning is not healthy, we had floor 6 which shows it's quiet area ...our next door neighbors were so loud most of the night..bad experience. Facilities are ok ..
Convenient stay for visiting family who live nearby, great breakfast, very helpful staff!
Clean room, with helpful staff members that are incredibly reasonable with time and noise.
Food was okay, hot and quick. Slight blip with the parking services with the garage across the road but otherwise a great stay. Thanks
Always a fav.....Great staff and brekkie!! The rooms are fair. One of My top 5.
Always good for quick breaks to recharge. Fantastic breakfast as always and good dinners too!
Enjoyable stay with a good night's sleep. Room was clean and spacious enough to put away our clothing. We went for the continental breakfast which we enjoyed with plenty to choose from. I can strongly recommend the cinnamon bagels! Enjoyed it so much we have booked again for next month.
Clean and comfortable room in super location approximately 300 yards from East croyden Rail station and a twenty minute train ride to central London. Friendly staff at both check in and check out. Price reasonable and would definitely stay here again .
Stayed for one night in this hotel. Bed was comfy and the room pretty quiet considering its in a busy area. No iron was one downside (wouldn't be an issue for those staying for leisure), but otherwise was as you'd expect. Breakfast was good considering these buffets can sometimes be terrible. Lots of choice, but one small toaster is not enough!
Good basic hotel, rooms are as you'd expect, clean, functional and enough space not to feel claustrophobic. Toiletries are poor, liquid hand gel and body wash are in dispensers, not individual but I never use them anyway. Check in was quick, left luggage earlier in the day as not able to check-in until after 2pm, restaurant was good, nice choice of food and Costa coffee available - although not to take away which was a pain. Handy for station (use side exit) and Co-op literally next door.
Wondered why was so cheap...staff are rude and lazy. Lifts are always broke.
Convenient location between Gatwick Airport and London, good price, only 20min to city centre by train. Has been some noisy building work around before but seems to be finished now. Comfy bed, decent food.
Rooms were fine, but ordering breakfast was disappointing - for my visit, order was wrong on 2 out of 3 occasions 🙄
There's not much Interaction with staff at all once you check in. Also no phone in the bedroom to contact reception so would have to go down for anything you needed. Only provided with one bath towel and one hand so I had to go down myself to go get more towels also was a bit of a search trying to get staff as not many people working there evening onwards. Bed comfort level was really good
Breakfast is lovely there's pastry, cooked breakfast and much more which you couldn't resist. Quite and clean rooms it's in the heart of Croydon a five minute walk to the east Croydon station kind, generous and happy staff if you going to stay in Croydon this is the place to go
This is a covenient and quite hotel located quite close to local amenaties It had very friendly and helpfull staff. Only negativeaspect there is no onsite parking, you can park in a NCP about ten minutes walk away at which you can get a discount from the hotel. Clean rooms and toilets, great Premier Inn full breakfast, super friendly and nice staff. Stayed for 4 nights and slept like a baby. Me and my family will definitely be back again. Recommended all the way!
The best nights sleep I've had in a long while!
I absolutely loved my stay here. I walked in on the night I needed a bed, and within 5 minutes I had the key to my room and was upstairs. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, always asked if I was alright when they saw me around, and were happy to handle any queries. Rooms were spacious yet cosy, the air con was a lovely addition to the room, the bed was so comfortable, and the layout was really nice. Breakfast in the morning was good, free Wi-Fi, and very clean rooms. I will definitely stay here again at some point, I look forward to my return.
The hotel is located right next to the train station and an easy commute into central London. It's a relatively new hotel and therefore the rooms are immaculate. There is however construction next door currently which may be noisy in some rooms. But it's a great hotel for business guests and tourist guests alike.
Room was comfortable as always. However the front desk staff were uninformed with 2 staff members giving myself and another guest conflicting information regarding car parking. There is NO PARKING at the hotel but there are 2 public payable car parks close by (within 5 mins walk)These are not owned by Premier Inn but they have arranged discounted rates with them.
I could not be more happy with my recent stay at Premier Inn London Croydon. I stayed 3 nights over a weekend. I booked this as a base for our trip to central London. This hotel is so easy to get to from central London and reachable within about 45 minutes (driving) and about 20 minutes by train (from East Croydon Train station which is quite literally across the road.
Being disabled I could not have been luckier with parking, right outside the hotel and free of charge which is always a bonus especially in London.
The hotel itself was spotless and the staff were very helpful and friendly!
Our room was comfortable and after a long day walking around many tourist attractions in central London, the bed was delightful. I've never slept better! I'd love to get my hands on a premier inn mattress for my bed!! It was very quiet and it's the first time time I've stayed in a hotel where the air conditioning actually worked! It felt much more like fresh air from an open window, rather than from an air conditioning unit!!
We didn't book breakfast when originally booking but decided on 2 of the mornings to get the unlimited breakfast. The restaurant was quiet and clean and we were seated straight away. The breakfast was delicious and for £8.99 you really can't go wrong, and it covered us and set us up for a long day.
Thank you Premier Inn Croydon, we will most certainly be back, very soon!
Room was spot on
Warm reception
Yes I will recommend it to anyone
I will definitely stay here again.
Typical Premier Inn with comfortable beds and rooms. It's well placed to East Croydon station and only a few minutes walk into the town centre. Service was good albeit it was a quiet midweek stay when I visited. They have recently suffered a fire resulting in generator being placed outside the main entrance. Those hoping a last minute vacancy will be disappointed. I'm aware that some people have turned up only to find out that they no longer had their room. I was lucky enough not to be affected.
Perfect value for price. Very nice staff. Spacious rooms. Quiet, discreet. Close to East Croydon station. Recommended.
We arrived in our favourite hotel chain in the UK in the morning of August 26, 2017 and were lucky enough to check in a triple room just made. From its location, room, food or service, you would get what you paid for. There are just two lifts in this hotel and they do not work in tandem with other facilities; and our waits were particularly long when one refused to work at all!
Comfortable bed, slept well.
Fantastic beds, quiet rooms, great location to access London and Brighton. Wonderful breakfast, very affordable, super service and very friendly and professional staff. Only minor criticism is the free internet, it's very slow and you alwayys have to log back on. There is a faster premium option but the free option should be fast enough for basic web browsing and it's not. Other than this it's a great accommodation option.
Room to a very high standard, staff friendly and helpful. Great location right near the train station. Breakfast was great as always, though other guests were being very inconsiderate leaving a mess for the staff to clean. Staff were wonderful.
No surprises. Clean and warm room. Pleasant staff. Plentiful breakfast, and even a refund on meal as didn't make it back in time. Frequent visitor with work, wouldn't go elsewhere in Croydon Town centre.
My husband and I stayed here to attend an appointment at the Visa centre here in Croydon (which is an 8 minute walk from here!) Really great location and parking isn't too far away.
Parking is at the Whitgift multistorey a little awkard to get to, it's a one way system and it took me two attempts to get in to the entrance because I was surrounded by buses the first time! Look out for the very sudden slip road leading to the yellow barriers at the entrance of the car park. Just FYI, the slip road is at the end of a bus lane :)
There's a 35% discount at this car park for guests of the Premier Inn, you have to collect a little card from reception to receive this discount (the card looks like a car parking ticket).
The staff here are really nice and friendly, and there's a nice Thyme restaurant on the first floor for dinner (I recommend the crustless quiche!). It's clean and quiet, and the rooms have AC, which is great coz the weather is so hot at the moment.
We enjoyed our stay here and will probably come back when we need to visit Croydon again :) Premier Inn satisfies us once again!
To put this in a context, I visited the hotel to attend a meeting in a public space. At the height of summer, it was a cool environment. Those in my organisation who choose to stay in Croydon frequently use this hotel.
Nice place to stay, co-op just next door. Shopping centre and train station only a 5 minute walk away. Only downside is I found it a bit rough. We kept getting pestered for money from the homeless, who wouldn't take no for an answer.
Good sized, clean rooms. Friendly staff, and good food, both breakfast choice and bar menu. Plus you get a token for a free Costa coffee :-)
Nice hotel well positioned near to the train station. Clean rooms and good, standard premier Inn breakfast in the morning
Clean rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was a buffet sitting out with the free continental breakfast. Breakfast would have been better if made to order but that was my only criticism.
Low cost, very comfortable Hotel conveniently located close to the railway which has very frequent 20 min rides to Victoria. Good breakfast and welcoming staff.
Convenient location nr East Croydon rail or tram. Comfy beds, friendly staff and nice food. Co op below good for tourists to buy water sandwiches etc
The hotel is a proper one. The rooms are nice and spacey, the beds are soft and well made every day and the breakfast is absolutely delicious.
Very easy to find from East Croydon train station, slept very well and the staff were very frindly. I'd have no hesitation to stay at this hotel again.
I love to stay here it's fabulous it's very clean tidy and comfortable friendly staff and very good service I feel safe and secure here food is gorgeous and children eat free it's in a great location great shopping very handy for trains and buses I will definitely be staying here again
Location was good, parking nearby which was excellent although had to be paid for, and transport into London was convenient. Would visit Croydon again, and the hotel is perfect as a base.
Simple hotel, every Premier Inn is basically the same. The restaurant is nicer than the Hampton's round the corner but the Hampton has a bit nicer rooms.
Comfortable and reasonably priced.
Perfect location for a central London commute with the train station being next door, literally. Clean rooms and staff very friendly.
Superb! Was totally amazed by the standard of these rooms. Will not hesitate to book here again
Good location and okay hotel and room. Terrible internet and no point wasting time/money buying "premium"
Useful business hotel up to normal premier inn standard. Close to shops and food outlets, and Croydon centre
Nice place to stay on a quick trip. Rooms were clean and cozy
Great place for shorter stay, breakfast on point and super clean rooms!
Very nice place & Very Clean. Great staff and thy are very friendly.
Was a bit apprehensive about going to premiere inn.. I was really pleasantly surprised.. Hotel was clean, rooms clean and staff super friendly and helpful..
Not quite usual premier Inn. The only good thing is it's in the centre of Croydon .. has a small car park.. not bestvin terms of cleanliness
Cosy hotel. Comfortable but one dislike that house keeping came into my room twice before check out time. And it woke me up I was abit paranoid
Clean, polite staff, very quiet, although 20 min to London city but train station just 2 min away
Awesome place to stay in an up-and-coming area. Within walking distance of a train station that brings you to downtown London.
Fast and polite staff. Room clean and well maintained. Comfortable bed. Exactly as described
Absolutely fantastic budget hotel! Right off the train station. Great staff.
Comfortable bed, great breakfast & friendly helpful staff what more do you need!
All you would expect from a budget hotel with very good location. Free wi-fi a plus.
Rooms are clean and the food is great.
Bathrooms could do with a refurb
Always preferred. The best thing about this place is the friendly staff.
The breakfast is also quite awesome.
Nice food, clean comfy room... Never seen a glass so dirty though.
A very pleasant hotel, good choice of food and drink and very friendly staff
Spent 2 weeks visiting family. Breakfast was awesome. Co op next door was convienient.
Well placed for the station to get into London. A good price, especially when having breakfast with kids.
It was very clean and i had free breakfast bc im 13
Nice and new, friendly staff. Wish you could open the windows though, London air isn't that dirty !
It's a Premier Inn in Central Croydon, nuff said
Nice and simple.... great staff and full of comfort.... breakfast is great
Good service comfy bed reasonably priced😜
Staff are great do anything for you
Main bed is very comfortable. Breakfast was good.
The staff is really friendly, the food is great, the price is low. What else do you need?
Very nice hotel. Clean and tidy. Hotel staff very helpful.
Main bed is very comfortable. Breakfast was good.
Cosy hotel. Comfortable but one dislike that house keeping came into my room twice before check out time. And it woke me up I was abit paranoid
Service was excellent, room was a good size and comfortable
Nice and clean hotel. Breakfast could be better for vegetarians.
Cheap, clean, quiet. Good transport links into London.
Very close to the train station, quiet, and equipped with comfortable beds.
Room was a good size and bed very comfortable
Nice location and great room and customer service.
Decent location parking is a pain
Friendly staff good service clean rooms
Clean, well equipped with good staff. Punches well above its stars
Comfortable hotel, very good serviced, nice position in Croydon downtown
Always comfortable with a great tasting breakfast!
Comfortable with friendly staff throughout the day with the exception of the late night crew who were clueless and sleeping on the job.
Great room, great dinner options, great staff
Good location. Very good room and breakfast
Good rooms great location for transport links
Really clean and the customer services is spot on! Thank you for the summer🌞 drink🍷👍👌
Clean and tidy, quiet low fuss hotel
Very comfy
Professional staff, good service and rooms.

Just had a coffee there. Nice friendly staff.

Wonderful food and an amazing night's sleep.
Great location and well maintained. Friendly staff too.
Location, upkeep, all type transportation facilities nearby and many more

Very good location, right next to East Croydon station
Nice stay, have good transport link.
Can't complain got a good night's sleep
Love Premier Inn. Best value for money.
Standard premier inn comfy bed.
Great place and 5mins from the train station
Good location to East Croydon station .
Stayed here twice now, and both times have been thoroughly enjoyable. Situated in a great location with easy access to the nearby train station.
Good hotel with good breakfast :)
Clean, friendly staff. Area is shady.
A bit tired, but nice staff
For the cost very good, great staff.
Decent clean room.
Good food good bed .
Some lights where flickering. But all was as expected.
Clean comfortable rooms
Food in restaurant and breakfast - plenty of choice and decent.
Staff were lovely especially Teresa ansd Marci.
They were attentive and friendly 😁
No parking at hotel, but there is a car park literally a 1 minute walk away - Ruskin car park and you can get a discount on charges at reception.
Definitely would stay again if I'm in the area
Superb value for money as usual. Right next to East Croydon station, spotless rooms, and insanely comfortable beds.
A shout out to Theresa who appeared to be working at the restaurant solo – she never seemed to stop for a second and yet kept a smile & cheerful attitude (even when the credit card machine wasn’t working). Receptionist Mabel was also *such* a warm friendly character. The only fault was that there seemed to be a queue at Reception most of the morning – no idea if it’s fiddly tech, or more training needed, but it did seem like everything being done (payments, early check-ins, etc.) was taking 2-3 times longer than one would expect.
Overall though a solid branch in the Premier Inn tree, and I’d happily stay here again.
Short 2 night visit to the UK and after a very early start we were welcomed by a very friendly face at check-in, Teresa.
Thank you 👍 .. I, myself, have worked many years in Customer Service industry and it is always a pleasure to receive the same high standard I like to give along with smiles and sense of humour .. so big Thanks again to Teresa.
Beds comfy, quiet room given town centre location and ideal for transport links.
Would stay again if visiting Croydon in the future.
I’ve stayed at this Premier Inn on business on multiple occasions, and each visit has been a pleasure. One standout staff member is Teresa, who I finally had the chance to speak with this week. I’ve noticed her before, especially how great she is with children, encouraging them at the breakfast tables. It’s truly heartwarming to see her make such an effort, and her friendly demeanor, paired with her authentic London accent, makes her playful banter a joy to hear.
The hotel itself is fantastic. I have the choice of staying in different hotels, but I always come back to Premier Inn Plus. The quality of the rooms is exceptional—they’re comfortable, well-designed, and the soundproofing is fantastic. I often struggle to sleep in other hotels because of noise, but here, I always get a great night’s rest.
Between the excellent location, the incredible comfort, and the top-tier service (with Teresa being a standout example), this Premier Inn Plus is my go-to choice. I look forward to returning again very soon!
I had a lovely time at this hotel! Teresa is particularly lovely! She was so helpful and kind funny! Exactly what I needed to wake me up! Teresa never change! You brought joy to me this morning!
We stayed there for 6 nights. The location is good with a train station nearby and it takes about 15-20 mins to central London. There is also a night bus route for coming back late. The room was very basic but fine for the price. They have a weird rule that you need to ask reception for cleaning in the morning, so putting a "please clean" tag is not enough. We asked the reception for cleaning and they said it will be cleaned but it wasn't when we came later to the room. They didn't even put toilet brush inside. So that part was very disappointing.
Room was Ok . Only thing I enjoyed is evening meal . Good service was given by Reethu , Sparsha and Rashmi . Noticing them giving their best to all the guest from the first day . THEY ARE GOOD compared to morning. No proper breakfast service no proper buffet . Untidy tables in the morning
Excellent service. Special shout out to Teresa who was extremely helpful and very nice. Room was spotless, very quiet, even at the front of the hotel. My 2nd stay. Will defo be staying again.
Decided to spend new years over in London so booked this hotel for a few days with a friend.
This review is mainly to give a special thanks to the wonderful staff member Sparsha. Whenever we had a problem, she helped us out right away and made sure our experience went smoothly. Thank you very much Sparsha, I really appreciate your help and assistance whilst we were there. I hope management recognises your efforts and rewards people like yourself who go the extra mile to make sure customers are content.
Everything else was brilliant. The rooms were clean and nice. Hotel is situated close to train station. There are many shops and food within walking distance . I always use this hotel in Town centre as it is priced well and the staff look after you.
Thanks again Sparsha; wishing you and the rest of the team all the best
Decent place to stay with helpful jolly staff. Conveniently located in 3minutes walking distance to railway station with a bus route in front of hotel. Coop supermarket next door with late closing hours just in case you need something before 11pm. Hotel has very good breakfast.
Great value hotel only thing I would request for is that they put phones in the rooms, other then that nothing to complain about, we booked short notice and they had two rooms next to each other for us (family of 5 with a baby) we needed to book an extra night which was very straight forward only other issue was the key cards had issues which meant we had to go to the reception a lot as couldn't access room or lifts
I had breakfast here. The breakfast service was excellent. It’s run by two lovely ladies, Teresa and Amnita. The food was hot and fresh, replenished regularly and very good quality. The dining experience could have been unpleasant because unfortunately there was a very smelly drunk woman behaving rather oddly. However the ladies handled the woman with great tact and respect whilst being firm. Well done ladies, I don’t often leave reviews but your warmth and friendliness and efficiency should be appreciated and rewarded by your company.
Fantastic breakfast service. Teresa couldn’t do enough to help and was super friendly. I’ve never been so well looked after!
We stayed here from 23rd to 29 December with my family...the hotel is very beautiful clean...location is perfect ..the manager makes sure all are happy....security is top we loved our stay and will be back very soon.....
Hotel manager is on the TOP
The hotel is beautiful...the staff make the stay very pleasant fun and worth 😀 staying....they all welcome kids...Teresa she is amazing her smile everyday at breakfast makes your day...always helpful in all ways ..
We were there december for Christmas and it was beautiful and now first week of march...
And will be back definitely
Teresa, Mr Deepak ,and the rest team do a great job there.....
Teresa always gives a smile to our kids
Incredibly kind, considerate, and attentive staff at this Premier Inn near East Croydon. For the duration of our 2 week stay, we've had a very warm experience being here. The hotel has comfortable amenities and clean rooms. On the first floor, there is bagged coffee that you can get for yourself which is really great!
The location of the hotel is quite literally the best in this entire area as it's only a meager 1 minute walk from East Croydon station. Furthermore, it's right below a convenience store and if you take a 3 minute walk there's lots of dining options.
Again, I would highly recommend anyone this hotel - I will be missing my time here.
Dear Ms. Amanitta,
I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional service and hospitality you provided during my recent stay at Premier Inn Croydon. From the moment I arrived, your warm and welcoming demeanor made me feel right at home, and I was immediately impressed by your attention to detail and genuine care for your guests.
Your professionalism and dedication to ensuring a seamless and comfortable experience did not go unnoticed. Whether it was your prompt assistance with my requests or your friendly and approachable nature, you consistently went above and beyond to make my stay as pleasant as possible.
It is rare to encounter someone who takes such pride in their work and delivers service with such grace and enthusiasm. Your efforts truly made a difference and enhanced my overall experience at the hotel. I am confident that many guests, like myself, leave with a lasting positive impression thanks to your hard work.
Thank you once again for your outstanding service. You are a true asset to the Premier Inn team, and I look forward to returning to your hotel, knowing that I will be in such capable and caring hands.
Warm regards,
Dr Shubhank Singh
Great location close to East Croydon station. Room clean and comfortable. Good shower pressure which really matters, and a surprisingly good breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful, especially Teres Q.
I often stay in the hotel with groups. Marcia & Teresa are incredible during breakfast. Evening bar staff is also very friendly and it is great talking to Waleed and the bartenders. The working staff always does all they can to make us feel comfortable.
Teresa was quite friendly and helpful with my check-out on 7th March and immediate check-in to same room on the 7th March.
My wife and I stayed at the east croydon premiere inn in langsdown road. We had an early check in which was good as we saw my wife's father mid morning. We had a new room with a powerful shower. The bed was extremely comfy and we had a lovely cooked breakfast. All self service which was great. The plus was a big bowl of fresh fruit and a good coffee to start our day. All staff very helpful. The minus to our trip was the card they gave us for the lift and our room. It kept playing up so I had to keep going to get it replaced. It only happened three times though. Staff very helpful......
An excellent stay made great by the service provided by Teresa and Marcia, great staff, positive approach and attitude. Thanks both.
Bit pricey but it was weekend rate. Cooked breakfast not great but other options are available cereal ect.
Teresa Amnria dining room staff is very attentive to your needs.
We stayed here for 2 nights while sight seeing in London, it was cheaper than staying centrally and very easy to get to as it's right next to East Croydon station. Rooms were fine, just a shame you can't open te windows, especially as our thermostat was set to 24c when we arrived and it was already evening (would be nice if cleaning staff checked this when getting the room ready). We couldn't set it any lower than 19c which is way too hot for sleeping! Breakfast was fine, good value and mostly tasty. We didn't enjoy the fried eggs as they were quite dry but the second morning we were offered (without asking) the option to have a boiled or poached egg, which was great! Area is a little bit rough but we didn't feel unsafe and there are good facilities (Coop right next door and restaurants etc around the corner. Did have someone shouting and banging on something outside, very early in the morning.
Stayed at the Premier Inn Croydon for 3 nights at the end of August. The staff was very accommodating. The breakfast was on point and have to mention Marcia who constantly went above and beyond each morning of our stay.
There should have been more signage on the ground floor to indicate that reception was on the first floor. It was easy enough to work out, but still disorientating.
The receptionist could never be a black cab driver. I asked him the quickest way to walk to the local train station: he hadn't a clue. The room was decent, although slightly on the cold side. The cooked breakfast was of a reasonable standard. The staff in the dining room were helpful.
Love this hotel, stay here regularly for work reasons. On first names basis with many of the staff, which makes my stay home from home and much needed interaction, Theresa, Marcia and Kelvin can’t fault them, always chatty and fun to talk to. Walid & Deepak are great, knowing how I like my room cold. Only one staff member who doesn’t smile or is really welcoming, Ludmila, which lets the hotel down.
Croydon Town Centre hotel offers a comfy king-size bed, good restaurant, and reasonable free Wi-Fi. It’s very close to East Croydon train station and a shopping centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I have been a regularly visitor to Croydon and the Premier Inn. Always look forward to the excellent breakfast in the restaurant, Marcia and Teresa in the restaurant in the morning are so pleasant and efficient, love a wee chat with the ladies in the morning before I head to work
Alex Realm
Excellent hotel and the staff at the restaurant, especially Marcia and Teresa are brilliant
Nice enough. Near the station. Don’t like the entrance system - lifts open to anyone who wants to go in them because Reception is in the first floor. The lifts smell of wee and are dirty because of this. Lots of drug addicts wandering around the area and walking in and out of the hotel’s ground floor. Very unsettling. Hotel itself it totally understaffed. The few that still remain are run off their feet, but do an amazing job considering how thin on the ground they are & are usually really friendly and nice! Don’t know how they do it! I wouldn’t choose to stay here again but business dictates that I visit Croydon occasionally and that’s the cheapest hotel around East Croydon station!
I stayed here on a business trip. I had no expectations as this was booked for me but what a lovely stay. All of the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was affordable and a good value for money. The hotel is easy to find and within walking distance to the centrale and train stations.
Only had 1 lift working out of 2 for the 6 floors in the building & in the lift that did work, one of the lights kept flickering away which was very annoying.
Due to the freezing cold weather outside, the rooms we're very cold too & the heating vent in my room didn't really make much difference & made a bloody racket so only way to stay warm was to duck under the duvet
No staff on reception when I left at 06:15 unlike previous PI hotels I've visited. Nowhere near the levels of comfort & hospitality I've experience as usually go to the Heathrow Airport Terminal 4 site but change because Croydon site was nearer to get to for my weekend plans & sadly a choice I regret making now
Great customer service by Waleed!!! Credit to the company! It’s a pleasure to see him: starting with the check in (specially early check in) and finish with her smile for check out! Well done! Great stay. I will choose always Premier Inn Croydon just for this kind of nice and helpful staff! Fantastic! The rooms are always clean and nice view.
It was a nice place to stay and your staff terosa was very kind and was very helpful all the best to her
I stayed several nights in this hotel in august. The rooms are nice and I always managed to have a good sleep. Full English breakfast was tasty and filling. Tawii and Barbara at the front desk are extremely professional and attentive. I received amazing customer service from both of them. They make you feel welcomed during the check-in process. Location is convenient and right next to the East Croydon train station. I’ll be booking this hotel again in the future.
Positives - cheap, very close to the train station so great for accessing London, comfy bed and mostly quiet at night. The co-op next to the hotel was handy.
Negatives - the neighbourhood felt a bit rough, someone tripped a fire alarm a few times the 2nd night (we stayed 3 nights), the hotel felt a bit shabby and not very clean or up to Premier Inn's usual very good standards, the rooms were a bit stuffy and you couldn't open the windows. The lowest you could set the temperature to was 19 degrees. There was a lift out of order. The rooms weren't cleaned or the tea and coffee replenished the whole 3 days we were there and very difficult to get hold of staff to help.
Not the greatest Premier Inn I've been to but it was reasonable enough for a comfy night's sleep and very handy for visiting London.
Lovely place to stay, fantastic breakfast, friendly staff,Amanita was helpful and cheerful, beds are amazing comfy, overall a great stay.
This Lady [ Teresa ] made our stay complete, Her good manners, service skills and a chatty willingness to help, were amazing we were a party of 8 lads here 4 the wk end, pluss local guide that helped us move around. Thank you so much xxxx
Had a lovely stay here. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and the decor was great. Bed was comfy and the room was equipped with all your needs.
Well worth a visit.
This Premier Inn is in the Best position. Two min walk to East Croydon train station. Found the room comfort & tidy in all aspects. Shower & bath. Lights & mirrors excellent conditions. We had a good laugh also.
Staff in Reception & service.. million thanks. 👍❤️
No metro station nearby, should take the northern like then walk to a metro station, quite tiring.
Rooms were freezing, ac wouldn't go higher than 24, staff were very helpful but you have to ask on a daily basis for the temperature to be adjusted.
No hot water on demand, should wait around 5 minutes to get hot water.
Been to premier inn southgate, one in manchester and oxford botley, all were way better.
Tv didn't work.
The only good thing was the friendly staff.
I left my room checked out then rechecked in the same room on same day...a yoghurt lid was in bin still and the same spare quilt was put under bed, I know as was mark on but apart from that great staff absolutely lovely to me and kids...very attentive. I would definitely recommend and stay again as beds and pillows ensured a lovely night's sleep also only other downfall can't open windows causing condensation and mould to appear was having to wipe daily. Basic with carpark views but cosy also only other complaint is the drunk's outside under carpark harassing people for money and cigarettes especially at night time.
Pretty much like most Premier Inns. Good standard of room and access to decent restaurant with a good selection at general restaurant prices. Location good for what I required but a lack of parking in site not ideal. It says you can get a discount if you present your Premier Inn Invoice. Not helpful when there is no one to present it to!
Used this hotel a few times, hotel is good overall. The let down was the restaurant. Being told it was full and wouldn’t take any more bookings when I could clearly see it was empty except about four tables which were occupied was an insult to my intelligence. No explanation was forthcoming so I went somewhere else and had a great meal which was very reasonably priced. Thyme Restaurant’s loss!
Very comfortable stay. Portions at dinner were huge! Breakfast was lovely, lots of choices and great service.
Pretty standard Premier Inn, even if it could do with some TLC. I had business in the LB area so I decided to stay here this time. Croydon is a dump, but it is central for both Gatwick and LB. Service was patchy, to say the least. When I arrived, there seemed to be only one member of staff present (and she hardly spoke English). Unprofessional, is the word that springs to mind, if I had to characterize my two nights at this hotel.
Used for daughters 30th birthday weekend with ABBA Voyage, Six the musical and meals associated. Price/position good. A clean warm home on a cold weekend.
Good room, self check in with helpful staff if needed, Within walking distance of East Croydon station. Price was a bit more than usual due to it being 1st of July weekend which is understandable due to demand but worth it still,
Would recommend if staying in London and travelling from Gatwick airport as it is a 15 minute train journey and drops you more or less to the door.
Conveniently located by the train station, literally on top of a co-op. Comfy, very clean, good facilities. What you expect from premier inn. Shame the windows don't open but in all fairness the street outside stunk of urine so probably for the best.
Lovely hotel and the breakfast is the best. The only issue is parking. You have to park in Landsdown Road or at the main car park across the street from the team. It was great value before but unfortunately, the price has gone up.
grate location, friendly polite staff. thats where the positives end.
floors so sticky every step feels like ur walking on flypaper. The air con in the room just made it hotter and more humid and the soap dispensers where empty in the badroom.
we left for a different hotel, couldnt sleep in that hot box.
Excellent, so pleased with it in every aspect. I got a parking space for free for whole weekend as I am disabled. Rooms great, good freeview TV, not boring 4 channels like many b&b....Good breakfast, evening meal in restaurant. I have paid double in past for b&b's nowhere near as good. I just cannot fault it and will be using this hotel every time I vist London, from now on.. Only 9 miles to Buck Palace etc.
Don't believe the lies about the 'parking opposite'. It's not opposite. It's not even close. In reality, it's an NCP that's a 5 minute drive away due to the poorly planned road infrastructure and one way systems, although only a 5 minute walk one you 'do' eventually get parked.
Otherwise, nice hotel. Great room, comfy bed and nice breakfast - would recommend.
Just a shame about the parking.
Awesome hotel, good food, great location, clean sheets and beds are so good, staff is very kind and funny. I recommend this hotel.
Breakfast staff Marcia and Teresa are amazing very efficient , kind and friendly, thank you for a great service, well done girls. Thanks to the manager Deepak who is very helpfull too, thank you team.
Teresa and Marcia are wonderful. Professional and cheerful. They made the stay at the hotel brilliant
It's a premier inn so if you stayed at one before it's up to their usual standards. Clean, comfortable and friendly check in. There is food here but not included in the price.
