Reviews of Glasgow Marriott Hotel
We had a lovely stay at the Marriott.
The staff were very welcoming, helpful and kind throughout our stay.
We would like to thank Rhys, who welcomed us into the hotel and had made us feel very welcome.
Great staff they try very hard. And always very helpful
But had Better bed and breakfast at Premier Inn to be honest. For 1/4 of price
Maybe not the most scenic location, but very easy to get to many places in town. The room was clean and the staff were friendly.
I booked the hotel for my daughter and son in law who were attending hospital in Glasgow. Sam at the front desk made every effort to make their stay really special.
Great facilities and hospitality, rooms are a little dated and would benefit from an update. Lovely pool and gym
Enjoyed our stay very much.
All staff were great.
Room very comfortable and clean. …
Marriott hotel is an ok place staff are helpful and friendly and the rooms come with a few things like tea and coffee station, safe etc.But if u dont get an all inclusive room its quiet expensive to pay for the food during breakfast and dinner and parking is £10 per night and we thought parking was free, the ventilation wasnt giving alot of air which is disappointing because it was hot the day we need it we got uncooked rice when we ate there so we started eating food from outside anyways it was a nice time away from home and the location is great 5-20 minutes away from glasgow city centre.
Reception staff were excellent, location was amazing. Straight off the M8, 2 left turns and we were there, on site parking and a stones throw from Sauchiehall St. Will be our hotel of choice when visiting Glasgow. 😁😁😁👍👍👍
Lovely hotel, staff where very pleasant and welcoming would definitely stay again.
Let me use toilet even though i wasn't a guest was grateful as I've bad health thanks btw
The Hotel is what you would expect from a proper 4 star establishment. The front of house staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble.
We stay at this hotel majority of time we are staying in Glasgow. Always clean and well kept. Even with Covid restrictions still felt safe with what hotel had in place. Only issue we had was the room was too hot even with the room temp at …
Staff were excellent rooms spotless food also excellent
The hotel is above average. The rooms are good but not great. The hotel is situated right next to the M8 motorway and as such you get a lot of noise from it and the windows have no soundproofing at all. The restaurant is good and the breakfast is pretty good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The gym is pretty well set out and has a good range of equipment. The opening times are good but it is not 24 hours.
Shower requires updated, there was little water pressure. There was no complimentary bottles of water in the room.
Average hotel. Very clean, great service but it’s very old
We came for the week for trnsmt festival and the whole experience was top quality, even more after being in a lockdown for 18 months
As expected, Marriot was a good experience. Supportive front desk, and clean rooms. Yet with COVID lock down, the Pool & Gym were closed, so wasn't such a good down time during my essential service - can't fault anyone here. But the Food …
Booked the Marriot for our wedding anniversary, the staff couldn't have been any nicer & the hotel is set out very well with covid-19 protocols. Personally I think the hotel needs some updating, the decor is very dated. The room was average sized with 2 double beds. The biggest thing that let the hotel down was breakfast. Due to Covid-19 your contenential breakfast is brought to your table. We ordered what we wanted and 45 minutes later we still hadn't received this, meanwhile we had stood in the que for 15minutes for our hot food & finished it. In the end we left without anything to drink due to nothing arriving at our table. The staff where rushed off their feet with a full dining room there where only 3 members of staff which I think was shocking. Unfortunately I don't think i would return to the marriot glasgow for another stay.
I checked out early in the morning and didn't check all the bills. I found that a sum of 50 pounds had been introduced which did not belong to me. I wrote to the hotel but received no response.
Everything was great except all leisure facilities were booked out for the duration of our stay as soon as we arrived. …
Really loud air-conditioning, louder than the traffic from the motor way. Decor felt dated. Very friendly staff.
Hotel was well appointed with leisure facilities, bar and restaurant (that wasn't open in the evening but offered food in the bar area).
The rooms are well proportioned and with suitable consumables, towels and air conditioning.
Room on floor 5 was not noisy at all despite proximity to major roads.
Hotel is convenient for walking East, West, into City areas and along the Clyde.
All staff was doing a splendid job well orginised to keep everyone safe and aware with the covid situation. All was adhearing to guidelines set out and helping guests when needed. Room was comfortable and clean thankyou all.
This hotel is lovely in the fact the staff are so customer centric. Any issues were dealt with immediately and ensured we were happy after resolved, including a lovely birthday card for my partner which was a lovely touch. …
Great position to access Glasgow and stopover for the Highlands. Hope there planning some refreshing soon
Nice Marriott hotel. The staff is very accommodating and well trained. The rooms are large and well furnished. The beds are incredibly comfortable. However the hotel is quite dated. All of the carpets and furnishings have not been updated for a long time (but they are very well maintained). I would stay here again without hesitation.
The hotel getting a bit tired looking, but had good nights sleep, bed and pillows very comfortable and the breakfast was good
Overall a pleasant and comfortable stay for the week. Checkin was very smooth. My room was ready and waiting even thoughb I had arrived at 7 in the morning and checkin wasn't expected until the afternoon. Rooms were spacious enough. Bed was a little on the soft side for my liking, but still slept soundly.
Stayed here at the tail end of two weeks in Scotland. Was pleasantly surprised to get checked into our room at 10 am. All staff at the hotel are friendly and extremely helpful with directions. The room was lovely and well appointed. Internet worked great. The breakfast buffet was good with lots of variety, both hot and cold offerings. The bar was a nice place for a drink or bar food at the end of a busy day. The hotel location is good with about a 15 minute walk to the shops on Buchanan Street. The hop on off off bus stop is close by and the hotel will give a coupon for a bit of at reduction in cost. Overall a great 3 days at the Glasgow Marriott and would definitely recommend.
I booked a Thursday and Friday night here because of work, and I was very pleased with the hotel. I had a regular room. The room was all clean and well maintained, and several aspects were well designed. Disappointed that at least the face towel was not lint-free. The iron and board were clean and functioned well. Decor was all pleasant.
Some minor quibbles: the bathroom mirror got steamed up if I kept the door closed when showering, and I think the front door was as capable of transmitting sound as hotels always seem to have - but luckily I had no noisy neighbours and got 2 good nights' sleep. I was in room 725.
The lighting in the room was odd in that the bedside lamp was very bright. Elsewhere on the bureau there was a lamp which had more of the dimmed effect I would have wanted at the bedside lamp.
My bed was OK, the pillows were a bit too plumped up for my liking. The shower had instructions! Great, using it was hassle-free. Staff were generally helpful, but I did not make many demands of them.
Hotel staff great. Breakfast fab and plenty of choice. Room nice but needs updating.
I attended the Glasgow Mario hotel for a friend's wedding. The venue itself is excellent with plenty of space and seats available in the lobby area for guests. There was a large bar present serving a variety of drinks for those waiting to enter the hall. We use one of the side rooms available to us for worshiping purposes which was very accommodating of the staff. Furthermore, the toilets were kept to a clean standard throughout, which can often be difficult when people are constantly popping in and out following the various meals served at the event. Over the location can be a little tricky to get to, there is plenty of parking space available, which is fantastic.
We had a large group booking and were accommodated with an early check-in which was extremely helpful as we booked last minute having been let down by our original hotel. Staff were brilliant and breakfast was amazing. Julie from the bar was also fantastic, with a helpful friendly attitude. We will definitely be back!
Having been working up Scotland and having stayed the best part of 8 months in the Marriott, I cannot fault the service of housekeeping to food, from table service and cloths washing getting taken away and washed, also the complimentary gym …
This hotel is really dated and needs to be revamped. The A/C took hours to cool down the room (on full speed). Breakfast was not impressive, a lot of the items simply didn’t have any taste. The Executive Lounge is way too small for a hotel of this size, and it is probably the least impressive Marriott lounge I have ever been to.
We had dinner at the restaurant, we were happy with the quality of that food.
The pool is old, too, but quite big at least.
I selected the green option, but our towels were changed nevertheless.
The city center can be easily reached by a short walk.
Hotel was fine, clean and tidy. The shower was over the bath which can be an issue for some people. Breakfast was ok but the waiter seemed to care more about the empty tables rather than the tables which were occupied. He didn't want to take away dishes when we were finished eating and we struggled to get coffee from him.
Fantastic lunch and the spa was relaxing. Thanks! We will be back!
Over all the hotel is spotless clean and tidy, the breakfast has an amazing choice of delicious food, however the over all stay and breakfast is very pricey plus you have to pay for parking and wifi. The rooms, pool, sauna and steam room are run down and really need to be refurbished to keep up with the Marriot standards. Pool side was mouldy on tiled areas and was worse than trying to get to a toilet in a Wetherspoons. Ages away down creepy dark corridors and stairs to get to the pool area! Air con is very loud and was disappointed the restaurant wasn’t open for meals in the evening.
Stayed at the hotel with my boyfriend for his 21st birthday I had emailed ahead and was offered to have balloons and wine put on the room complimentary as a surprise but they were not in the room on arrival eventually wine was brought up …
Great hotel, staff weree excellent really attentive and helpful. The room we had a was a little tired but was clean and spacious, all in all a place i would recommend and definately stay again.
We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is only 5/10 min walk into town, so very handy for some retail therapy, dinning out, “etc”
Our room was exceptionally clean as was the rest of the hotel, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, the food was good, (we only had breakfast and it was full of choices).
I would highly recommend this hotel friends and family.
Nice hotel , clean rooms ,friendly staff
Reasonably priced beer great choice at breakfast , evening meal only available in the bar so expect pub style grub
This hotel seems to be about 20 years old and feels it. It needs a major renovation. A/C does not work well. That said, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom works well. Average value. Breakfast is a buffet and also is about average. Decent value for what it charged.
The staff greeted us as we entered and were very friendly and covid compliant, with good signage and measures in place. Although parking was charged for it was only £10.
The leisure facilities were excellent although the tiling is maybe a little tired and could do with a spruce up. The sauna and steam room as well as the pool were all clean and working however the lockers in the male changing rooms didn't work.
In the hotel room itself, the TV kept switching itself off, which was annoying when trying to listen to the radio.
The food was brilliant and reasonably priced and the breakfast in the morning had a great variety and was well stocked would certainly recommend for future visits and friends.
A bit disappointed from Marriott’s standards. The rooms are really old, whether it’s the furniture, the light (if you need something not too bright in the middle of the night, forget about it), the functioning (the bathroom switch is in the entrance of the room, away from the bathroom entrance, never seen it before), the food (which is ok but not outstanding); overall the experience is not that good. One positive point though, the staff who is trying to be as helpful as possible all the time. They are all very nice.
A very comfortable stay in a trusted brand hotel. However, in an age where technology is abundant, the check-in experience was woeful. …
Great location. Overall - staff were pleasant and helpful- However AC broken in room. Staff in reception appeared to be aware of problem when we reported it. Provided a fan instead of offering new room. Fan didn’t work. 2nd visit to reception led to new room & from then on all good. Tired decor - could do with freshen up - otherwise enjoyed stay.
We had a great time staying in the hotels. Rooms were clean. We booked two rooms for 7 nights. On first day, the AC wasn't working in both the rooms. We were given separate rooms immediately. Staffs are nice too.
We came for an overnight stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
We booked treatments at the spa, and these were average tbh. The reception area at the spa seemed very tired and unwelcoming. We were booked for 12pm but we didn’t get take until 12:15 at least. Throughout our treatment we could hear the music from the reception/gym area blaring over the “tranquil” music of the spa. We paid £100 for a massage and we didn’t even receive a glass of water, and we were not offered use of the facilities or as much as a gown. I expected we would have been offered use of the pool at least or a lay down on a lounger in a quiet room after our massage?
We wouldn’t go back!
Check in was brief, no mention of facilities or details and no info in the room either, so we didn’t get breakfast as we assumed none available to book? No mention of leisure facilities or such like or if available to guests. Maybe I should have been more specific and asked. The room was clean and the heating did warm up eventually once we had managed to force the stiff window closed. The shower was fine but the fabric shower curtain kind of worried me a little ie cleanliness.
The lack of mini fridge to store some water wasn’t great either and a small bottle of water on arrival as given at other brands of hotel would have been a nice touch. The paper cups for tea/coffee weren’t great either. Very tacky. Easy enough to dishwasher a cup at the end of a guest stay surely?
I tried to order room service and foam pillows (allergy to feathers) as I’d already requested but this didn’t seem to work on the app so we had to call reception to ask.
We ordered lunch to the room and the food was delicious. The portions were generous and the food was hot.
Bed was like a brick, lacked mattress topper and husband woke with bad back pain.
No detail on room service in the morning so we were abruptly woken in the morning by her knocking and shouting at the door early am.
Again, no breakfast option so we left feeling tired and hungry on check out.
We would stay again but not for a special occasion and would defo not return to the spa facilities as there was nothing “spa” about it. Never been for a treatment anywhere and not been given even a glass of water before?
If you haven't stayed here before then book! The staff are fantastic and the food was great. Rooms were spotlessly clean. I will definitely be back! Thank you for an amazing stay!
We've visited the Glasgow Marriott many times over the years.
This time we were left a bit underwhelmed, I'm sorry to say.
Mouldy inner shower curtain was removed after the first night and not replaced,. leaving only the outer curtain which had a hole in it and wasn't hung correctly.
The windows were so dirty they made it look like it was foggy outside.
No square sausage at breakfast but everything else is just as nice as before at breakfast though no linen because of Covid.
Room service is not 24 hour, though it doesn't inform you of that on the TV pages or the in room printed menu.
Dents in the walls and the boarded up fridge unit is still there - we've been coming to the Marriott in Glasgow since they had fridges in the rooms, so we know how long ago they were removed... It's a long time.
The staff are friendly, as always, and do their best with what they have.
We ate in the bar in the evening, the food was nice, and well presented.
I do hope that our favourite hotel is given the TLC it deserves.
A reccomendable hotel in Glasgow, I've been there several times travelling as air crew. It's less than ten minutes walking from the train station and quite close walking distance from the others main attractions of Glasgow.
Interiors are a bit outdated maybe, but it has a very welcoming looking anyway.
Rooms are spacious and clean.
The Fitness club is very well equipped.
All the food is very good, including breakfast, restaurant & bar and room service and I really appreciated the drinks selection, specially whiskeys.
I've always met a very professional and welcoming staff...so keep it on...
Great location, and the staff overseeing the executive lounge on the 12th floor was exceptional. I gave this place 3 stars for them. If it weren't for them, I would give this hotel 2 stars. The rooms were old, small, dingy, and need a severe remodel. I think the last time this hotel was remodeled was in 1990. Everything was plastic, flimsy, layers of caulk, and broken air conditioner. The windows were tiny, and it felt a bit prison like. Not recommended. Stay in Edinburgh instead.
Great hotel, very friendly staff. Good facilities with pool and gym. Spacious comfortable rooms which are cleaned to a very high standard. Loads for breakfast and good choice. Great views over Glasgow from 12th floor.
Have stayed at the Glasgow Marriott on several occasions. Simple advance check in and comfortable room. Pretty standard, though always find this hotel a bit dark and depressing. Possibly needs a refresh, particularly the swimming pool which …
We arrived late and left early, but enjoyed our one-night stay here very much. It is easy to find using satnav, and on-site parking for £10.
Our room was clean and comfortable, and the Marriott breakfast was excellent as expected.
This is a typical Marriott. If you like them, this is exactly what you'll get here. We'd definitely stay here again.
I arranged to park at the Marriott for a meeting just 6 minute walk away using JustPark App. Great value long term parking charges compared to other sites with spaces bookable in advance in the JustPark App. Arrived early so that I could have a Cappuccino before setting off for the meeting in St Vincent Street. I worked my way past an aircrew group waiting for their pickup from Glasgow Airport to a very comfortable lounge for my coffee. Recommended.
Back after many years and decor hasn’t really changed . Friendly staff . Meal in lounge bar quite poor ( long wait and arrived cold ) . Not sure why they did not open the restaurant for a Saturday night . Greg serving in lounge tried his best and was very apologetic . Rooms comfortable and spa and leisure facilities met our needs .
Lovely place. Pleasant young staff. Unfortunately small measures of spirits at the bar and extortionate prices. Makes for an expensive visit.
Nice hotel in a nice central location. Staff very friendly, attentive and helpful. Leisure facilities were clean and enjoyed by all. I don't like being charged for car parking but it was a decent rate for the city centre. The entrance and reception area was very nice and comfortable but the rooms are dated and could do with being modernised.
We had an evening meal which was ok (no option for kids and it took a while to come) but it was tasty enough.
Would go back but would love to see the room decor improve.
Overall the hotel and staff were great but we specifically booked this hotel for the leisure/pool facilities which were extremely tired and in some disrepair. Also 2/3 Rds of the pool were closed off for individual swimming lessons which meant very little space in which you could relax in the pool
Staff was excellent, the room was cleaned very well, and Ioved the kingsize beds, plus the pillow were amazing my partner said she had a awesome sleep, plus good bathroom too, shower was great.
A brilliant, friendly and exceptionally clean hotel. Safe and comfortable with lovely staff. Close to the Hydro and the SECC, within walking distance of the shops and restaurants and station. Would definitely stay again
Shower pressure in the room was low. The leisure centre was tired and felt a bit grubby.
We both commented that the three star bread and breakfast we stopped in the night before was better presented.
Arrived Friday for a medical meeting on Saturday. Spent a lot of time in the hotel recovering from the procedure. We left on Sunday. The staff were excellent. It is a pity the Grill restaurant was closed
Nice hotel. Good staff. Excellent pool and good food. Lovely break for my daughter and I.
We stay at this hotel majority of time we are staying in Glasgow. Always clean and well kept. Even with Covid restrictions still felt safe with what hotel had in place. Only issue we had was the room was too hot even with the room temp at its coldest and on full. Raised on second day , however maintenance had finished for day. We were offered and were delivered a fan to the room. Nice gesture however the fan wasnt of best quality and was not strong enough to blow any of the air around. We had the window open as much as it could but this still made no difference.
We had room service on our first night and the food was delivered quivkly and was very tasty. Our second night we had food in the bar and this was enjoyable also.
Overall a good stay just the heat in room was only downside.
Staff all very friendly and helpfil.
Hotel is easy to access by road with ample parking (charge does apply though). The check-in was safe and handled well with all information I required given readily. A nice executive room on floor 12 gave cracking view over Glasgow's southside. The room itself was a good size, clean and warm with some wipes provided for ease of mind too. The bed was comfortable, if a bit hard for me, but still had a good night sleep. Room service was taken as restaurant is closed at the moment. This is 5pm - 9pm on limited menu, however I do say delivery was prompt and food was of top quality. Breakfast next morning was of buffet style but served by staff rather than oneself. This was no issue. Overall I was very satisfied on this stay and it was best of three hotels used over past two weeks. Will be happy to return.
On of the best hotel in the town (Glasgow). Amazing location and their outstanding facilities.
The hotel is okay as UK hotels go but lags far behind Europe, Middle East and Far East in terms of quality, value and being made welcome. …
We got exactly what we were looking for, a chilled couple of days to relax. Enjoyed the pool, sauna, and spa. Excellent bar service. Hope to be back soon. Thank you.
Love this hotel. Great staff, great service and great food. The rooms are top notch too.
Lovely staff, great clean spacious rooms, and great service in the bar. Only thing they could warn you in advance the restaurant is closed for evening meals.
Very clean and pleasant. Modern bar area and friendly staff. Great location. Great parking facilities. Slightly dated decor.
The air conditioning in the room was rubbish, the room was far too hot. Everything else was great, comfortable with beds, spotlessly clean. All staff were lovely and any food we had was brilliant. The nachos were freshly made and the best I've ever had, nearly worth a second visit for. Air conditioning in bar and restaurant was great but in our room was terrible to the point my wife was so uncomfortable with the heat she hardly slept a wink, and it wasn't even a really hot night outside.
Cool Location and nice members of staff.
Bar service is great.
Love the parking services too, though not free.
Was great staying .The staff was great and lovely .the Room clean and calm. Swimming pool was good you can stay 1 hour there . Wifi is bit slow but was free. In the hotel they respect the Covid-19 restrictions which is very good.
Had an issue with other accommodation previously booked and was able to call Marriott and secure a room for 2 nights using our points. Centrally located and great accommodation. Only complaint is the executive lounge is a bit low on available food options unlike other Marriott hotels around the world we have used. All an all, we had a great stay and am happy we can always count on Marriott.
Location was excellent as close to Glasgow central station. Local amenities and supermarkets close by. Front desk staff were excellent and ensured all my needs were met. Special thanks to William who was brilliant with us. Swimming facilities and sauna was lovely and onsite restaurant and bar is brilliant
My husband and I had a fantastic stay in the Marriott as part of our honeymoon. We stayed for 3 nights in total. The staff at reception were so welcoming when we arrived. I can't remember the name of the man who checked us in but he was so …
Hotel decor is a bit tired but room was lovely and big (we had a double double family room), had everything we needed, good shower and couldn’t fault the cleanliness. Good cooked breakfast, although selection of healthier options quite limited. All in all good value for money.
An average stay I would say. Although the room was nice the shower dint have enough water pressure and its really difficult for a 6 ft person to take shower. The hotel is quite old in terms of furniture and other stuffs.
Handy place to stay. Good service, but why should we have to pay to park at the hotel? . Disappointing that restaurant not open at night and basically only bar food available with distinct lack of vegetables. Can't fault breakfast however. Comfortable room.
Friendly staff. Nice breakfast buffet. Still old classic style
The hotel is located about a mile from Glasgow University where I was getting my daughter set up to attend. It is also about 3/4 of a mile to Glasgow Center. The staff was very accommodating and helped with all the Covid protocols. The breakfast was excellent. The bar staff in the evening were eager to help.
We booked a family room over the weekend from Friday to Sunday 2-4 July. It was quite hot outside but not excessive. Our first room was extremely hot, primarily because the windows cannot be opened and also because the aircon didn't work. We requested for a room change which was accommodated and the second room was much better. The beds and other furnishings were comfortable. We pre-booked the pool but found it to be crowded during our pre-booked slot which meant the kids didn't get to use the pool as much as they would have liked.
We stayed for 1 night and really enjoyed hotel. We had a meal in bar area and it was superb. Room was great and hotel had even put wine on ice for our anniversary. Staff were great
Overall the hotel is a good place to stay in Glasgow, however the food menus need to have more choices for vegetarians and I feel it is no longer necessary to remove all the soft furnishings and other things from rooms. The staff are excellent and very friendly.
Went with friend for spa experience & lunch with Prosecco. Facial & head massage was amazing. Lunch was lovely. Staff were warm, welcoming & friendly. Would definitely recommend
Stayed for few nights with family. Kids loved it, specially the Swmming pool, stream ect.
Good Breakfast. …
Excellent stay. Good location and parking handy. Staff wonderful. Bit tired in terms of decor & shower poor but other than that a great stay
We stayed at the Marriott for a concert at Glasgow Green and it was ideally located for this and for shopping. Lovely comfy and clean rooms. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was amazing!
I booked a room at short notice for our 30th anniversary.
When I checked in I asked if there would be any chance of a room upgrade as it was our anniversary. …
Will and staff so friendly, rooms where a little dated but had an excellent stay for my birthday. Food over priced and not that nice although my daughter loved their chips lol. The staff where so welcoming and nothing was too much bother. Breakfast was okay. Room service charge was £4 which on top of the food prices was abit extreme. We just went out for a lovely dinner. Beds so comfortable and air conditioning great!!. Apart from the food overall excellent. Dont order the soup!!! Lol . Thank you to the staff at the Marriot Hotel Glasgow will be back soon.
Very nice Staff 👌, and a nice Room to stay in, Duvets were a bit Thin but gave me another Quilt.....
We always stay at the Marriott when we have been visiting Scotland. This time was no different but, because of COVID, it was very quiet. We felt very safe, everyone wore masks when they were moving about, and the systems the hotel has put in place worked well. The rooms were comfortable and clean, as always.
Lovely hotel, great facilities and super clean. Staff were lovely and very helpful.
Stayed at this Marriott many times and have never been disappointed. It is located approx 10 minutes stroll from the centre of Glasgow. Very clean and tidy. Staff are excellent. Nothing is a problem.
Only a couple of moans..... On checking in to my room it was like a sauna. The AC heating control was up full and it was almost unbearable!
Car parking charge a bit steep for a resident in my opinion....
Other than those petty moans, this is my favourite Glasgow Hotel.
Good easy parking. Super friendly and efficient reception. Food service gradually getting better as lock down easing. Not silly money bar prices. Aircon in room hardly worked though, shame as it was a hot week. Will still come back next time I'm working in area.
Had a lovely pleasant weeklong stay here. The breakfast was nice and fresh every morning, didn’t eat in the restaurant but had a lovely couple of cocktails. The room service and cleaning was provided everyday and the staff were helpful and welcoming at all times. My partner and friends used the gym and pool and were pleased with this also. Overall was a wonderful stay here :)
we were not a guest, but we used the parking, pre-booked with a reasonable price per 24 hrs.
nice and easy to access
We had a pleasant stay over all with only one glitch. The Air conditioner did not seem to work, as the temperature was warm throughout. The receptionist did try to adjust the temperatures, but of no avail. So, we couldn't have a comfortable night's sleep.
The hotel staff was taking great measures to ensure covid-19 related restrictions are complied with, which was really reassuring. The complimentary breakfast was delicious as well.
Upon arrival, check in was very quick and easy with an exceptionally polite lady who made good conversation. Everything was very smooth and very informative.
Made our way up to the room which was the superior king room. Very clean, very …
Service was great but lighting in rooms very dim. In Glasgow central and convenient to travel. Parking charges £10 for 24hrs. Swimming pool and gym was worthwhile. My family and I enjoyed our stay
Easy walk from Glasgow Central station. Clean rooms, nice suites, excellent health club. Breakfast was above average , lounge was adequate
Great value for money and has a swimming pool!
Staff are friendly and efficient and the food was good; the haggis bourbons are worth a try for the uninitiated.
A tourist bus stops outside and it’s a get on and get off to Glasgows many attractions.
Most of the shopping and theatres were around 20 mins walk away.
I think our room needed some updating as it had my personal bete noire- the shower curtain . It did not have a refrigerator. The air conditioning was good, the bed firm and super king size. Hallelujah as we are not small people plus there was considerable space in the bedroom. The TV was huge and had all the apps and stations.
I didn’t use the gym but the pool and steam room were great but watch out for swimming lessons as parts of the pool get closed off.
The bar and restaurant were much better than average. Parking was £10 a day but that’s not bad for a city. They reserved a space for me as I had a leg just out of a plaster cast.
I nearly got put off due to its proximity to the M8 but the room was sound proof and cleaned thoroughly on a daily basis.
Thanks for making our stay most pleasant
By mistake I booked the hotel for a week later than I intended to but when I discovered this at the check in counter, the reception staff was extremely accommodative and helpful. They made me feel welcome to the extent that they checked me …
I was only staying for one night and found everything to be nice enough. I had a few small issues that I would have raised if I were staying longer. …
A bit on the expensive side but the room was clean and the staff were great, did not have their food at the restaurant as I went elsewhere, would recommend it for a good weekend away.
Swift and easy check in. Very friendly staff who are always willing to help out.
My only complaint (which doesn’t really bother me really) was that apparently …
We had a wonderful time. As soon as we walked into the hotel I noticed how clean it was and how nice it smelled so first impression was great! The reception staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. We had a lovely experience at the swimming pool. We ate dinner there in the evening and the food was superb and very reasonably priced, our server Craig was great. We had breakfast the next morning where staff were very friendly and helpful and on a whole our stay was wonderful.
Upon arrival, check in was very quick and easy with an exceptionally polite lady who made good conversation. Everything was very smooth and very informative.
Made our way up to the room which was the superior king room. Very clean, very spacious. A lovely sized bathroom with plenty of mirrors extremely clean and hygienic (maybe a toilet note to say it had been cleaned would be a great addition to peace of mind) plenty of towels of a good size also. And lovely toiletries and shower cap too. They smelled amazing, thank you!
The floors were immaculate, a nice wardrobe, tea and coffee facilities. Phoned the reception to ask for more tea and milk, arrived promptly with very polite service. Unfortunately no fridge but made use of the window ledge instead.
The bed sheets immaculate and crisp. Bed was the comfiest I've slept on for a long time. Pillows were soft, maybe a little too soft for us, but still better than most hotels and we had a very sound night's sleep.
TV service was ok, with Freeview channels and some online TV too. Just standard for hotel telly. But a good screen size.
Not too bad a view from the windows and they are big windows giving lots of light.
We ordered room service for our dinner and I must say for room service meals, it was above our expectations! Wow the food was great with wooden cutlery and plenty of sauce salt and pepper. Only took half an hour, from order to door!!
Onto breakfast, booked a table for the morning and during covid it was exceptional service from all staff involved the food was lovely and hot and of a great standard, polite and friendly staff very welcoming and made us feel immediately comfortable.
Check out was also fast simple with polite helpful and friendly staff.
We were at the hotel for our 13th wedding anniversary and the lady at reception was speaking to us and it was mentioned in conversation. As we got up to our room, 10 minutes later there was a knock on our door with a very lovely and welcomed surprise. An ice buck, 2 glasses and 2 bottles of rosè wine for us to kick start our celebrations. From the same receptionist at the beginning as it was at the end, unfortunately I did not catch her name but her customer service was exceptional. She deserves recognition for her kindness, polite and friendly attitude and her professionalism throughout.
Above all the hotel was brilliant the staff even better and food amazing. Thank you so much for the perfect stay for our anniversary. And we will definitely be back soon.
Standard amenities expected at a Marriott hotel were not provided.
The design of the hotel is very dated.
Perfect location for our needs, great facilities - particularly enjoyed the pool and steam room, and the staff were fantastic - friendly and always happy to help.
Where can I start, right spot for an hotel walkable to the centre if not bus outside. Its just a brilliant time. Lovely people.
I was there in 2014, it is a fantastic hotel, the WIFI was not free in the rooms.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Had to arrange a late check out and this wasn't an issue which was great. The bathroom shower heads could maybe do with being replaced but apart from that the rooms are nice enough and the beds are supper comfortable.
I like this this hotel, the staff were very friendly and really helpful but considering how much I paid for the room there were some things I was very disappointed with. The food choices were very limited and the room itself was slightly disappointing
We enjoyed our stay, was an excellent base and perfectly situated.
The kuda enjoyed the pool area and also lounging around the hotel... They are 4 and 5. …
The hotel is a little tired and In need of some TLC. A good lick of paint would be a good starting point.
If you go to use the leisure facilities be warned a lot of the lockers don’t …
The rooms where dated, food was average. After the first night we did deliveroo. The pool area was great and my kids loved it.
All the staff from reception, bar and restaurant were excellent and very attentive.
Expectations were high booking in a junior suite, unfortunately this was not …
We enjoyed our stay in the Marriott!
Although the hotel is becoming tired the staff are excellent!
Staff was friendly loved last Saturday night the DJ played great tunes loved the venue thankyou
A nice hotel, clean and well maintained. Their Breakfast has lots of choice and the food is of good quality. The staff are friendly and want to help. Definitely a hotel to consider when visiting Glasgow. Will use again.
Went to a seminar, the staff made sure we felt comfortable and safe.
Older building and rooms but walking to town centre. Brilliant staff made all the difference. Very welcoming with a smile. Will go back anytime fornthe fantastic service.
Really marvellous place for your loved ones, take your near and dear ones there and enjoy a wonderful time with your family and friends.
Staff friendly and helpful. Lovely looking hotel.
Excellent service and very clean. The food at the restaurant is great even room service.
Booked this through booking.com was contacted by the hotel recommending a bigger room upgrade as 1 was with my 2 children, i took up their recomendation and paid the extra for a junior suite.
The beds very comfy and we all had a great stay, disappointed we couldnt use the pool due to only 8 allowed in and despite being there 3 days it was fully booked.breakfast very good and everyone we had dealings with very friendly
I've been in better marriotts, this one got a good location, tasty breakfast and very friendly staff. However the superior rooms could be a little refurbished with some new style furniture.
Nice enough hotel. The rooms are very small and a bit dated. Executive lounge is average. The breakfast was quite good.
