P. G.Good hotel in walking distance to King's Cross station. Few bitr here and there needs to be fixed, as usually (showers etc) but nothing vital. I can recommend

j.I’ve stayed here quite a few times. The reason being the price and location to the train.
This time it was a bit colder than usual and the water was definitely colder! Make sure and pick the time you shower otherwise hot water will be incredibly scarce.
The rooms are a decent size but incredibly basic. There are tea and coffee facilities in the rooms and there is a Costa coffee right around the corner. It’s about a five minute walk to Kings Cross which is very convenient. Lots of nice little restaurants in the area and you can have food delivered to the hotel as well.
The staff are also friendly.
A. B.No expense was made in the furniture and fittings of this very budget hotel! Everything was the cheapest tinniest ever especially the pillows and shower. The decor is tired and drab and my bedside light didn't work. The advertised breakfast was not available 'due to Covid' but I'm not sure that that washes any more as an excuse and it doesn't say that on the website.
However it was clean and the staff were charming and it's a good price for London, felt safe and is in a convenient location.

K. B.Staff are wonderful. They have a left luggage service which is great if you arrive before check in or want to explore the city without dragging your bags around after checkout. Rooms are basic. Paying for location more than anything. Had to cut the trip short by one night for personal reasons. I’d stay here again as a single traveler but not as a couple, as the bed is quite small, unless you were on a tight budget. I’d stay here again.

I've recently started travelling to London once every week for work, so need a low cost hotel near KGX. Last week I stayed at the 'SO Kings Cross Hotel' round the corner. It was about £10 cheaper than the Arriva, but the place was incredibly run down. The Arriva, on the other hand, is clean and the room/bathroom/hallways are all to a modern standard.
I was in a twin room, which had plenty of space and a reasonable sized bathroom. If I was going for a weekend break with the missus, I'd be a bit gutted it was so basic, but for a work trip on my own, it's perfect at this price.
G. B.It's good value for the price but don't expect it to be clean. They seriously need to fire their cleaner and get a proper one. With that said, it was quiet and I slept fine. They provide the essential toiletries and it is a secure building. The staff was very friendly and the blow dryer worked very well. They had a fan in the room which I appreciated. They also provide a small breakfast, but we left so early I didn't get to see what it was. I suspect yogurt and things like that.
M. v. E.This hotel is a 5 minute walk from King’s Cross station. The rooms are basic and really small. However it is clean and contains most things you would expect not really for families I think. Good for a couple of days. It is incredibly hot upstairs but breakfast was included & though basic was reasonable.
S. k.Good location and OK service. Probably worth the money if you don't spend a lot of time in the hotel anyway. Rooms are really not like on the pictures, or maybe I was just unlucky. Breakfast costs £3.5 which is affordable. Locks on the door are using regular keys, so don't forget to lock after you leave.
V. C.The hotel is 2 star accommodation and in that respect it was of a reasonable standard. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, better than I have experienced elsewhere, and was a good base for exploring London. What let it down was the fact that the pleather on the bed bases was flaking off, the dining room was too small and only had tables of 4 and the walls were paper thin so be prepared to hear your neighbours! The niggly issues which come with staying here are that the breakfast selection is seriously limited, our bins were not emptied daily, some of the areas could have done with a deep clean and some of the staff were friendlier than others.
You do get what you pay for here and as a base that you intend to spend minimal time in it works.

Although, the breakfast was quite disappointing with not that many options. Furthermore, the hotel can get quite noisy and you easily you can easily hear the surrounding neighbors (snoring, alarm clocks in the morning, doors banging etc.)
Despite these different matters the stay was lovely and is a good location for a short trip. Thanks to the Arriva Hotel you can easily reach the different main attractions by subway, it never takes longer then 20 minutes.
M. W.I was a little worried reading reviews but really pleased with my 2 night stay here, would do it again in a heartbeat. Stayed in a bedroom for 4 (2 twin beds and 1 queen) with 3 girlfriends. Everything was clean and comfortable. Could use some updating I guess but for the price and location (5 minutes walk from St Pancras) I have no complaints what so ever. If you are looking for a no frills but comfy, clean, and affordable place to rest your head in central London- this is it.
Contrary to other reviews the elevator is not at all "extremely tiny". It easily fit 4 women with luggage. Didn't try the breakfast. Staff was friendly, got extra pillows and towels when we asked. Secure room to store luggage. The only downfalls I can think of was that you cant control the room temp so it was a bit chilly, and the garbage trucks in the morning were loud, but obviously nothing to do about that. I didn't have my child with me this trip but I would easily take her here if I come back.

There is an elevator which is nice but it’s extremely tiny.
The staff were helpful - no credit card held for a fee which is good.
The breakfast is plentiful but a total mess in terms of where and how it is laid out - be prepared to wait for a long time.
The beds were comfy albeit small.
There is a co-op near by and costa coffee which is good. It’s four minutes from Kong’s Cross so location is good.
I would recommend a couple of nights here - it’s not a week stay place.
M. M.I liked it. Admittedly a bit shabby and basic, BUT the place is clean, beds reasonably comfortable. Well stocked tea tray. Perfectly fine bathroom. Reception was helpful and friendly. Location is brilliant yet the road isn't that noisy. WiFi was better than quite a few places we've stayed lately. Good value for money, especially this central. Great base to explore from, just don't expect anything fancy.
S. K.i am shocked to see horrible reviews.. i do not what people expect from a 2 star hotel but so far so good. decent and clean rooms with tv, free coffee, a simple breakfast and an excellent location which allows you to go around in an enormous city like London.
If you are not looking for luxury but a decent place to stay, definitely recommended! We are staying here for over a week and all is fine really:)
S. B.Even though this hotel had many bad reviews claiming the hotel had bad wall paint and broken furniture, I decided to book this hotel since it was located close to King's cross station. After checking in I discovered that many things that the reviews claimed was true, the walls had several marks, very few shelfs and places to put your stuff, pretty poor breakfast and an entrance that smells cigaretts. The walls and windows are also very thin (there is a very busy road just outside the hotel so there is very loud noise), but I brought ear plugs so I slept very well. The hotel is also a little bit overpriced, but still okay. The thing that made me give this hotel 4 stars is that the staff are incredibly nice and humorous! It's very sad to see that the guests carves names in the elevator and slams doors in walls, but the staff does everything to make the experience better. They even tuck my computer under the bed cover! I think this hotel deserves more honest reviews not complaining over broken walls. And btw I didn't see a single one bedbug in my bed.
M. S.This is our second stay here and this hotel is as clean and welcoming as it was the first time. Is very convenient for Kings Cross and St. Pancras stations. Would recommend but found this time that breakfast was a bit of a scrum, there are only about 30 seats and the room is quite small. Not really adequate for the number of rooms (75).-
N. T.The Arriva hotel has a good location, walking distance to St Pancrass Station. The room was small but comfortable, furnitures were looking a bit used, but everything was clean. The major drawback was the noise, both from the busy street, and the hotel's corridor. Not a great hotel but the quality/price ratio is fair. We haven't tried the breakfast.

N.Reasonably priced hotel by London standards however it was in my budget. Hotel is only 4 mins walk from St Pancras/Kings Cross station so London, the UK and the rest of Europe is accessible. Room was a bit small but you don't spend all your time in it. Room was serviced daily. Staff were friendly and very helpful.
J. T.We booked last minute as we had an early morning train, check in was easy and pleasent. The room was dead simple but clean. They made us a little packed breakfast to take with us when we had to leave at 4am which was super kind of them.

There is a elevator what is really good for this type of hotels and you don't have to worry about climbing stairs up to 3rd or 4th floor

D. O.We shared a family room and it was clean and comfortable. It was very warm. Street noise overnight was easily blocked out with earplugs. The ensuite was tiny but fine. Breakfast was continental style and ok. Reasonable price and easy walking distance from Euston, Kings Cross, St Pancras and the very trendy Clerkenwell.
S. W.Clean and relatively quiet for its location so close to Kings Cross/St Pancras. There's a great pub round the corner, The Water Rat. Rooms are a bit pokey and very basic and I didn't try the breakfast so can't comment on that. Staff were friendly enough. It did the job!

J.Cheap hotel, not to small rooms, the beds could be softer but they are not super hard. Breakfast room is quite small. For breakfast you can choose youghurt, toast bread cheese, ham, marmelade, cucumber, cereal, butter, tomatoes, orange juice and apple juice. Not too fancy but ok. Location is about 7 min walking distance from King's Cross underground station. There are plenty of supermarkets nearby. You get to store your luggage for free when you have checked out. You also get s:gift bag with dome soda and some cookies when you leave. Over all nice staff and clean rooms

R. W.It is old, but clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. It doesn't feel exquisit, but it is great for a budget stay. The hotel is located close to everything - walkable distance to st. Pancras and Kings Cross.

In Londen krijg je natuurlijk wat minder voor de prijs die je betaald dan elders in Europa en daarom moet je niet al te veel verwachten van je kamer. De locatie van het hotel was wel super. Je zit binnen 5 minuten bij de trein of metro en daardoor zo in hartje Londen. Dichtbij het hotel heb je wel leuke pubs, wij gingen vaak naar The Queens Head. De service was goed, elke dag werd de kamer schoongemaakt en konden we de laatste dag onze bagage achterlaten in een speciale kamer.

Wel heerlijk warm! De kamer werd dagelijks gepoetst, verse handdoeken, bed opgemaakt. 24 uur is er iemand aan de balie, steeds vriendelijk! En je kunt er gratis je bagage achterlaten de laatste dag als je nog eens de stad in wilt. Bespaart je alweer 6 pond.
