From the warm welcome to the attentive staff to the clean room, I was very pleased with the hotel & my stay. The bed was comfortable, housecleaning every day. I was even a little late to check out as my flight from Paris that morning got in late, hotel staff did not charge me anything additional & were very accommodating. Several times I asked for directions at the front desk & was always given correct information. Great location in quite area, close to the underground and plenty of places to eat. I would definitely stay here again & would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice comfortable stay.

Excellent hotel, abundant breakfast, the coffee is a bit lacking and the croissants are missing. Clean room of medium size, bathroom a little small, but we certainly don't have to spend hours there. Hotel to be recommended despite being a three star. Excellent location for reaching two metro stations.

We stayed in the hotel for a week and felt comfortable, although it has a few blemishes (paint rubbed off, windows were difficult to close, etc.) but anyone who has ever been on holiday in London knows this is typically British. Definitely renovated bathroom (tiles were missing under the sink). Too bad the shower cubicle hadn't changed too: there was no glass high and they supplied a curtain that could let a lot of water out. The towels were not always clean, but we always have them changed on request, plus the fact that replaces them every morning. Peccato che il box doccia non fosse anch'esso cambiato: mancava un'alta in vetro e hanno sopperito con un tenda che può far uscire un sacco d'acqua. Gli asciugamani non erano sempre puliti, ma ce li hanno sempre cambiati a richiesta, oltre al fatto che li sostituissero ogni mattina. Nice hotel and very well located but our room was very small. Breakfast is very simple but good. 5 minutes walk from a metro which takes us to 4 stations in London. Helpful staff. So it's very correct but for the price, I expected much better (250€ for two nights)

The minuses: the room we had was not at all faithful to the photos, big disappointment, very small room, desk and wardrobe. Room that deserves a little updating. The bed: a top sheet and a blanket, a bit light... The heating works well and the hotel staff provided us with another blanket. The bed is really small for a double bed. The bathroom: Very clean, modern and functional. Breakfast: We chose this hotel because it offered breakfast and the big disappointment, it has everything you need but that's it. Avni Kensington I'd say it's a very basic hotel. My room was in the basement, so windows are under street level.There were locks on them,so I felt quite safe on that aspect. The room looks pretty clean. Bed is quite comfortable, not super long though;plain white sheet and a couple of blankets in the room,which I didn't use. Small TV not​ working first night…. No instructions on how to use the safe… The bathroom is tiny. Never seen such a small sink, literally tucked between the shower and the wall.no lights on the sink, which would make it hard to shave,or put on makeup. No electric plugs in the bathroom,but an hairdryer next to a mirror in the room. Furniture seemed pretty cheap, and quite worn out. Lighting on the stairs is very dimmed, and the carpet is dark green. They ask to leave keys at front desk, but don't ask for ID when you need them- maybe not that safe? Area seems nice, overall.Lots of expensive cars, definitely not a ghetto. Breakfast simple, no pastries/cakes. Just cheese and ham, disgusting coffee,tea, toasts, jams,butter, juices,hard boiled eggs. WiFi sometimes fast, sometimes not. My parents room was smaller than mine, which made it really hard for my dad to get out of bed.

I gave it the 5 star because for the 1st day to last day everything was great. the Management , reception, and houskeeping couldnt have done more. The room was spotless, cleaned and fresh towels daily. We were on ground floor and quiet. And of course being so close to tube and bus stops was big bonus. I would recommend this Hotel and will defiintely stay again on visiting London.

I wish there was a 3.5-star rating. The Avni Kensington is better than "OK", but the age of the property, its desperate need of a renovation/update and "bare bones" accommodations don't warrant its nightly cost. Now don't get me wrong. The Pros edge out the cons by a tad. The staff couldn't be friendlier, more hospitable or be harder working. Every single staff member I encountered was absolutely lovely. The Breakfast, while plentiful, is no frills, basic fare (cereals, bread, butter, jam, ham, cheese, tea, coffee, yoghurt. Filling, but certainly not worth more than £4-5. The rooms are like most mid-budget range accommodations in Greater London--small, efficient, but nothing fancy. The private bathrooms are small but clean, with all the necessities. One A+ amenity I hasten to mention is the giant, white, soft and super-absorbant bath towels. It's the small things, isn't it?

Our twin bedroom did have a few small problems: I can't put my legs in front of me on the toilet because of the shower placed to close. You can't really walk between the beds and the wall, so you'll probably need to jump over the bed to get to the window or other bed. The breakfast was quite good, with white and brown bread with possibility to roast, one type of cheese and meat, bananas, apples and also some types of cereals. In conclusion, it is a good hotel for its price, but don't expect too much.

Don't expect too much. The small hotel in heart of Kensington looks better from outside than an inside. And from the pictures. They are so much different than what you get in reality. I got a room in a basement, begging to be refurbish, with the old window (below the ground level) with large spaces between the glass, so the wind was easily going inside. It is easy to get tricked with the promo prices when you see different pics. The bathroom was tiny and dark, but clean. The receptionists very nice and helpful. The location was good, walking distance from the museums, close to the metro station.

Very basic hotel, a place to lay your head when you don't want to spend a fortune in London. I selected the place because it had a lift - had stayed in a London hotel without one and lugging the suitcases was awful. The breakfast was adequate though one morning I witnessed the kitchen staff having a loud, long argument. The worst point of the place was the near impossibility of getting a Wi-Fi signal in the room. I ended up spending an evening sitting on the one couch in the lobby trying to deal with a problem at home. Invest in some router boosters! Time to join the 21st century. Room was clean and the desk staff were attentive to requests.

Stayed at this hotel 21st Jan 2014. Although only listed as a 3 star, it is certainly one of the better ones. I have stayed at much more expensive and much worse hotels. The room we booked was described as a Superior double room, but in fact had a double bed and a single bed. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the room and the general decor, fresh and clean. The staff were very helpful and courteous, although there did not seem to be many of them. The room itself was very clean and the sheets pristine and of good quality. The bed about average but certainly above the normal standard for this grade of hotel. The bathroom also was very clean and fittings of a high standard. It is too much to ask for a bidet at this price, indeed, many so called upper class hotels fall woefully short in this respect. A pity in my view as I consider this to be an essential part of any bathroom, sadly almost always lacking in this country. The only one point that detracted from a top score, is the fact that the blankets were a little grubby in places and smelled as if a good washing and airing would have made a world of difference.. I strongly suggest that the management sort this problem out. Otherwise a good score from me and as a bonus, the breakfast, although described as a Continental type, was in all respects excellent and provided a wide range of choices in Fruit , cereals , also cold ham and various cheeses and tomatoes and cucumber. Good hot coffee and tea, with both hot and cold milk. A really good combination for this type of breakfast and certainly plenty to eat.. Apart from the matter of the blankets then, an excellent choice of a hotel in a very pleasant and quiet part of London. Another bonus is that it is within easy reach of the Museums., and tube stations. I do not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone requiring a good quiet hotel in a good area. Cost ?? From £60 per night per room. EXCELLENT VALUE.

We stayed as a big group in different rooms here last yr(2018). Hotel rooms at the basement were not good for summer. Top floors were good. Decent breakfast. Housekeeping staffs were friendly. Hotel location is the key.. Such a posh n calm, safe locality. Ten mins walk to glauster road station as well as red bus hop on tour stopping. We came back close to 12 am most of the days. Absolutely safe. If u r a traveller not bothered too much about luxury in room then it perfectly suits you.

It's not that bad. Basic but if you are staying here you should already know that. I've stayed at a lot of hotels in London that were more expensive and more uncomfortable. The staff are friendly. Only complaint I have is my room was very drafty but I would stay here again
