This was a cool set up - community activities take place here and there was a yoga mat in the drawer in our room. Loved the design - outstanding attention to detail in the reception, coffee shop and rooms, Comfortable bed. Well equipped kitchenette. Simple breakfast where we each chose items to the value of £12. Friendly staff. Very clean. Would like to come back in the summer to visit the restaurant and sit in the courtyard. Have already recommended to others.

I've stayed at this hotel 3 times - it's my favorite of the Locke hotels in London. The rooms are large and gorgeous, the location is excellent -- wonderful cafes near by and close to public transport -- the front desk staff is always kind. The in-room laundries, with free detergent, have saved me on many an occasion.
My only real criticism is of the not-so-straightforward co-working space downstairs; it gets busy, which can be a little annoying to navigate through first thing, every single morning. But it's beautiful open space, really unlike anything I've ever seen in London, so expected. My real issue was this: the first time we stayed here, we were told we could use the space freely, and every time we've come we've done the same thing more or less: stay a couple of hours and order quite a few things from the cafe. We rarely bothered to use our guest discount (not sure if it that is still a thing, as it wasn't mentioned the last time we checked in). Sometimes we'd have a bit of coffee or tea (never food) left over from another cafe excursion. We'd of course never bring outside food to a cafe, but we were told this co-working space was accessible to us as hotel guests. It wasn't an issue until our last stay, when I was finishing up the literal dregs of a coffee I'd gotten nearby while trying to complete a bit of work -- after which I was going to order something from the cafe -- and one of the cafe employees quite loudly told me "This is cafe, you need to order something, " I told him I was a guest at the hotel, and we had been told we could use the space like a lobby (I also see from owner comments below that the space is free for the community, I wasn't aware of this at the time). He said he would have to check, and got back me a minute later to say it was fine, after all, and apologized. This seems like something all the cafe employees - there are only ever 3 working - should be aware of. It was a pretty embarrassing experience to be told off so loudly in a heavily crowded room, and it will make me think twice about staying here again, which is a shame. I did not work at the cafe for the rest of my time there - I was there for a week - and instead spent my money at friendlier spaces with better coffee.

Located in the heart of London and literally 10 minutes walk to Tower Bridge and London Bridge.
Bermonds Locke is one of the best places to stay in London for business and work trips.
Really beautiful and spacious studio rooms with all the cooking amenities and utensils available.
Everything from tea maker, oven, sandwich maker to Iron, iron board and even hairdryer available.
High speed internet, quick reception service with WhatsApp and call availability.
Good work from home workspace in the room and also a good workspace by reception to just chill and work there.
Overall a really really good experience and would definitely recommend to anyone coming to London for business, work trips or even perfect for personal trips.

I had such a lovely experience at the Bermondsey Locke. Holly and AJ offered a supper warm welcome, and were incredibly attentive and supportive during my stay. The staff at Larder are also wonderful, as well as the food.
The hotel is super pleasant, the views are incredible and the beds are super comfy. The views are also outstanding.
FYI there are no freezers in the rooms which you might need for longer stays.
Wonderful hotel. Can’t wait to go back 🥰

Amazingly comfy bed and nice apartment. The shared space was so cool and the bar was really trendy with a great menu. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Great location just 10 min walk to Tower Bridge, tons of bars and restaurants 5 min walk away! Have already booked in for next time I’m in London.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights here. We prefer to stay in apartels since we prefer to cook some meals while away, so we've stayed in a fair amount. This is by far the best apartel we've ever stayed in. We arrived before check in, so we dropped off our bags. Staff were friendly and helpful. When we returned to check in, the rooms weren't quite ready so we were told we could get a drink each, on the house, from the Shaman counter. Not 10 minutes went by and we were informed our room was ready. The rooms were perfect and beautifully decorated. Location is close to cycle hires and buses, and London Bridge, so getting around was quite easy. We really enjoyed our stay at Bermonds Locke and will make a point to stay again.

Would certainly recommend if you're staying in London for a few nights. We got a studio and it was perfect. I could have lived in it! Comes kitted out with pretty much everything you might need. Smart TV so you can log into your Netflix or apple TV if you're fancy. The only downside I can think of is that there was no dressing table or any table with a mirror that I could comfortably sit and do my hair - and all the plugs were far away from the mirrors so I had to straighten my hair at one side of the room and walk to the mirror to check but as far as things go, that's a fairly minor inconvenience but I can see it being annoying if you've got an important event to go to. Service was also incredible and they have a lot of on site amenities. Very close to the tower bridge tube station and the London skyline so perfect location. Can't complain really.

Great stay at this trendy hotel in Bermondsey for the past week in our apartment, very helpful staff and amazing facilities such as the cafe (Shaman) and co-working space in the lobby. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay.

Perfect location, cleaner than clean rooms, incredible facilities and nicer than nice staff. Couldn't recommend higher. Big love to the team for helping us out so much after a hoo-ha with our original booking via booking.com!

Went here for our anniversary - couldn't recommend more highly. The rooms are perfect and the staff were lovely. We were upgraded and given a bottle of prosecco! We stayed for ages downstairs the next day in the super cool shared workspace - this place is the definition of great hospitality and will definitely be coming back asap.

We've been saying that we want to be able to self cater in London for years but be able to stay in a hotel environment. This place was perfect for that. There's a great kitchen corner in your room as well as a table and chairs to eat at. Our kitchen had a fridge, oven, washing machine, cooker hood and hob as well as crockery, cutlery, utensils, pots and pans. There was also extra bin bags, washing up liquid, cloths and scourers. Oh yes, tea and coffee too. All in all a well stocked kitchen.
The bed was a king sized with good quality white linen and duvet, the only things I wasn't keen on were the pillows but I know I'm very fussy and my partner said they were fine, the other thing was the size of the bedside tables, they were a metal square on the side of the bed frame, the size was around 20cm x 20cm which if you want to put your phone on, a book and a drink you are having to pile things on top of one another and then if you wear specs you need to add those to the pile too. The bedside tables were my least favourite part of the room.
There was plenty of space and enough space for clothes and bits and bobs, the hairdryer had a super long lead on it which was great as the plug sockets were nowhere near the mirror.
The bathroom was super too with a large shower cubicle and easy to operate shower, there were lovely thick, white towels and bath mat, a heated towel rail (if you needed it), plenty of shelf space to put your toiletries. There was shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the shower with a bar of soap for the basin.
We will definitely be returning to this aparthotel. It had a young vibe, a restaurant and bar with outdoor seating and staff who were very friendly.

We stayed at Bermonds Locke for 3 weeks, and appreciated every moment.
The hotel is very clean and well designed with a lovely atmosphere.
The staff were so kind and helpful with anything, while we were in 10 days isolation due to covid19 and travelling from another country.
Our room was clean and incredibly designed with any essential we needed - from a full kitchen, washing-dryer, oven-microwave, iron, and even a yoga mat which was very handy during the isolation.
The hotel treated us with a 'refreshing pack' with clean bedding, towels, shower & kitchen essential, and even brought our groceries to our door!
We're so grateful we had a nice stay and already recommended to family and friends.

I had a fantastic stay! The customer service here is really efficient, warm and welcoming, the room was super comfortable, spacious and great value for money. The location is perfect, and despite being on the main road you hear very little noise. I'd certainly recommend this hotel for longer stays as the rooms have everything you need.
The only thing that did let it down slightly was the cleanliness of the room. To be clear, the room was relatively clean, however, I did find the floor to be dusty, the mirror wasn't clean. Just the little things that give a hotel 5 stars. This won't put me off staying again, and I look forward to coming back when life returns back to some form of normality and the facilities of Bermonds Locke can be enjoyed.
Thank you for a wonderful stay.
