F.I went to this hotel a dozen times, and overall the experience is under expectation. The rooms are very small, very simple. Most of them are noisy and windows lack double glass. You can't keep your key and need to ask the reception every single time you leave/come back. The service is good but even after coming around 15 times (which means I spent around 4.5k£ there), no single price reduction /advantage was given. It's not bad, but not amazing either. I would recommend for a short trip but not to come regularly.

Down a quiet side street, so we all had a lovely undisturbed sleep.
Very clean, beds changed and new towels daily.
Good, clean shower. Lots of radiators so we were warm. 24 hour reception, and very fairly priced. We’ll be staying there again!
One thing to remember though, there are two bottles of spring water in the room, one is complimentary, if you drink the other it’ll cost you £10! There’s no sign saying that though! I think that’s unfair ( it’s in the small print in the terms and conditions).
L. T.Great location in regards to proximity to King's Cross and St Pancras, otherwise the area is a bit trashy. Small rooms, but overall great for the price and such friendly, helpful staff. Felt a little uncomfortable that you had to check your room key in and out. Not sure what would prevent someone from the street walking in and asking for a room key. And maybe now I just gave someone that idea 😬

A. M.I needed a place to stay while searching for student accommodation. The Crestfield staff provided excellent service & kind hospitality, allowing me to store my bags in a luggage room before my check-in time, and letting me keep my bags there for an afternoon while I waited for my next check-in at an AirBnB. The place is secure with 24/7 management at the front desk permitting guests in and out. My two-single bed room was small but totally manageable – hot shower, clean water, a fan and large window on street-level, a lock safe. I highly recommend this hotel if you need an affordable place to stay in Kings Cross (located not even 1 block from Kings Cross-St. Pancras). Thank you, Crestfield staff.

S. A.We really liked this hotel. We had a triple room on the top floor and it was perfectly clean and smelled fresh. The bathroom was especially clean with good hot water and shower. The room was small, but plenty of space to move around and had under bed luggage storage. The staff is lovely and is present 24 hours per day. As of September 2021 they did explain to me that they no longer provide breakfast, and had stopped serving it during covid. Each room does have sparkling and flat water, a kettle, tea, and biscuits that are refreshed each day. We had a hair dryer in our room, 6 hangers and towels for each of us that were also changed each day. The beds were made while we were out and were medium firm with very warm blankets and 2 fluffy pillows. The location is amazing. You hear a little bit of the street noise, but you're right across from Kings Cross Station! It's just an hour from Stansted Airport by tube and train. And for you Harry Potter fans, the train back from the Warner Bros Studio Tour, drops you off at Euston station just 1 stop or a short walk away. Tons of restaurants and shops nearby. And the Platform 9¾ and Official Harry Potter shop are in Kings Cross Station! Nice daily market at the station too. Overall great experience!
C. P.You cannot beat the location at Kings cross & price. Close to the British Museum, great pubs. London is an international city and you get both good and bad on Crestfield Street for that reason. But my pre-teen daughter and I never felt unsafe. Staff is very careful, the breakfast is good and the rooms are clean.

C. C.Considering the location (right next to King's Cross) and the prices at this hotel, I consider it to be an absolute bargain. The rooms are clean, there is a safe in the room, the heating works well, you get a kettle and free tea, coffee, water and biscuits, there is a nice area to sit outside in the courtyard, and the concierge is very helpful and is there 24/7. Oh, and the breakfast is delicious. If you don't want "luxury" but you want a comfy bed to sleep in, this is the place to go.
E. C.It was cozy and a nice stay for the one night I stayed at. Breakfast was included. It's very close to the train station and all kind of food shops to check. American food was available too. The hotel is a convenient location if you're staying for a short amount of time. Tiny rooms.
B. M.I was transferred here having made a booking for the sister hotel, the Angus. The situation for Kings Cross is ideal and yet the street it is in is quiet. The rooms are small but very clean. The hotel is a listed building so there are no lifts and some rooms are up several flights of stairs.
L.Great location and a nice view, small but clean rooms. Our 3 bed room was fine for a couple of days, but too tight for a longer stay. Breakfast was good and varied. Nice staff as well!

- Steep stairs, with no elevator. It was not a problem for me, but could be a problem for some people not used to climb so many floors
- Very limited choices for breakfast, although fine for a day or two.
- Room with carpet and dark wooden panels all around. Very oppressing
- Had to return the key every time I left the room. Old style.

The bad: You'll have a hard time sleeping with a loud water pump going on whenever someone from the hotel uses the water. Which is often!

Also: the breakfast is very limited, unless you're a huge fan of ham and cheese, or jam and butter sandwiches.
But then again, the location is absolutely fantastic!

C. N.Perfectly fine for a brief stay in London and a great value for the price. Room is typically small, no real surprises with any of the in-room amenities. Front desk staff are super nice and someone is around 24/7. Kind of weird to leave your key at the desk each time you leave but it didn't bother me. Pretty nicely stocked bar and a cute rooftop patio out back near the lobby. Bed was comfy enough. No A/C but we visited in Sept/Aug and slept fine with ear plugs and an open window.
E. M.My room was on the top floor, a bit of a climb up the stairs but a comfy room at the end. I loved my little room, very cozy. My room was very clean and the staff when I met them were very nice and friendly. I loved that I could open my windows and let in the breeze. The breakfast was nice too, simple but healthy. My only tiny critiques are that the curtains, which were over the bed, needed something to hold them in and keep light out, like a small magnet or something to hold them in place. Otherwise the bathroom was extremely tiny, very clean, but tiny, making it a bit of a contortionist act to sit on the toilet. All in All I had a lovely stay and an amazing trip thanks to this hotel's comfy room and great location.

H.I've put off writing this review for 3 months not out of any hesitation in my recommendation, but because I fear that word of this gem will get far and wide and next time I book a London trip, it will be full! We stayed for a week at the end of September and what a great experience. I call it a solid "3 star" and it's a perfect fit for how we travel. Clean room, amazing location and terrific breakfast were all part of our Crestfield experience. Did I mention the staff were great? If your accommodation needs are straightforward and you're looking for great value in a perfect location, look no further.

I. M.The room for 3 people was a bit tiny but very clean! Breakfast is toast and juices which i don't eat but they always had fresh fruits! Location is great, 5 min from King's Cross station.

C. T.The hotel is nice and the prices are good. The position is gorgeous, very close to kings cross station, with direct link to the downtown and Gatwick airport. The personell is kind and nice too. The breakfast is very good and offer a wide choice. The rooms are small but nice and complete. I have to give three stars for the comfort of the room, because it is too hot and there is no way to cold it down. Secondly, during the night I heard a lot of noises from the street and inside the hotel, and I didn’t slept well for the two nights that I spent there. The hotel has no lift and it was hard to bring my heavy luggage to the last floor.

Free WiFi and a continental breakfast was good, and makes it a good places to return to if commuting or travelling. I wouldn’t recommend here for leisure, as it is small and somewhat basic, but it is a hidden gem for travellers and commuters!

They serve a continental breakfast which had a good selection of cereals, fruit and breads along with some other food.
E. I.Room was updated and clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. Made us a to-go lunch at no extra cost on the day we had to catch a very early train. Location is convenient for access to King's Cross & St. Pancras (literally a block away), and thus also for access to the Underground, but it's not in itself a very lovely area.
M. R.Located a very short walk (minutes) from St Pancras so convenient if you are taking the Eurostar to Paris or elsewhere. I arrived early and was able to leave my luggage and walked to the British Museum. I booked the single room which was indeed very tiny. I'm not sure of the size of the other rooms but if you are planning to book the single for more than a night I would suggest upgrading for more space. Bed was very comfortable and area was quiet.
J. G.This hotel is certainly convenient to the King's Cross tube and train station. The staff was friendly and the rooms clean. But they are cramped. The neighborhood is a bit dicey and one night there were guys yelling in the street much of the night. There is a convenient McDonald's very nearby.

L. W.Room seems renovated. Very small but it has everything you need accompanied with some clever usage of space. WiFi is really fast. Breakfast has boiled eggs, ham and turkey slices, cheese, canned and fresh fruits, yogurt, breads. There’s a cute lovely courtyard via the backdoor of the hotel.
Our room was right next to the street which has great views during the day, but it gets all the noice late night/early morning.
Tons of shops/food near by. King’s cross station is right across the street, and there’s a underground entrance which is less than 1 min’s walk away. There are two rental bike stations about 1 min away too.
b. a.It's clean and the free breakfast is nice. A little noisy and the shower is only lukewarm though. Have to leave the room key at the desk every time you go out. Very convenient for Kings Cross station.
E. W.We chose this hotel because of its price, proximity to public transport, and the offered breakfast every morning. For those things I can't fault it, but I probably wouldn't stay here again. The reception staff told us at check in that we could pay our bill upon checkout, but then reminded us every time we entered the building that our bill wasn't paid. They also "suggested" checking out early as they tend to get busy around 11am, which was the official check out time. We were still in the room at 10:30am on our last day when a maid tried coming in to get started on the room. Didn't even knock before beginning to open the door! When we mentioned this to the staff they explained that the housekeeper probably thought the room was already empty, as if this was a valid excuse.

I can go on n on. Where else can I find such a wonderful accommodation? Going to Oxford Street only few stops by bus.
How I missed the moment I returned to Singapore. No words can describe my experience. I want to go back again.

Un piccolo ma grande hotel nel cuore di king's Cross St. Pancras. Ottima posizione per utilizzare sia metro che bus. Camere piccine ma, credo che sia una tipologia londinese, pulite e completa di bagno con ogni confort come phon e cambio di asciugamani ogni giorno. Il bollitore da utilizzare con relative bustine da the oppure caffè istantaneo con biscottini rifornito ogni mattina fa veramente comodo. La colazione continentale è abbondante e lo staff è pronto a rifornire in caso di necessità. Consigliatissimo

Every corner and hole is used to make rooms. I had a small room of 7 square with a small window. Good facilities such as free coffee tea, bottles (glass) of water and cookies.
