We had an awesome stay at the Good Hotel. This is our second time visiting. The hotel is clean, tidy, chic. Staff are friendly and professional and certainly go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. We stayed in the beautiful corner water view room, which is spacious and has everything you could possibly need. The food is good and the location is a welcome breath of fresh air away from the madness of central London. Thank you Good Hotel staff.

My fiancé booked a one night stay as an early birthday surprise. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom a good size, the window out onto the Thames provided a lovely view.
Only downside was that the walls were rather thin and we could hear the people in the room next to us quite clearly, if you are a light sleeper and your neighbours are talking you may struggle to sleep.
Great location for accessing the O2 arena either through the DLR & Tube or the Emirates Airlines Cable Car.
P. E.
Really impressed with this place. Such a cool location on water overlooking the Emirates Air Line Cable cars and O2 arena/Millennium Dome. We upgraded for water side and weren’t disappointed.
The decor inside was really well done, quirky meets minimalism. The boat vibes were cool. The staff were friendly, relaxed and made us feel really welcome.
There is a rooftop space which unfortunately wasn’t open the day we came but would be a great space to chill with a few drinks.
The room itself is compact but fits completely with the boat vibes being quirky and minimal but was comfortable. The upgraded room was worth it for water views.
Would highly recommend a visit here. A very “Good” experience!

Stayed here a couple of times, rooms are smaller than some other hotels and that’s my only negative. The last stay I decided I was going to leave a jumper and my AirPods as I rushed out to a meeting. When I called and asked if these had been handed in I was informed they were. The team were really helpful and even offered to post these to my home address as I was outside London. They arrived 2 days later and I am extremely grateful for the assistant from a fault of my own. Will be back again soon! Thanks team top class service!!

I had a great stay. The service and the staff are outstanding. The manager a beautiful Black woman was a total rockstar! She was really incredible. Very accommodating, kind, and caring.

Interesting and quirky structure.
Former dutch floating holding center for immigrants. Amazing journey here from Holland which can be viewed on screens in the lobby.
Excellent location, good roof top bar.
Rooms are compacted but what do you expect from a former holding cell.
Stayed here July 2017 after seeing the restaurant being reviewed on a cooking show. Unfortunately we was a little disappointed with the food on our stay.
Visited again today for a early lunch but unfortunately food didn't start being served till 2pm .
Definitely worth a visit as they may and can move the hotel in the future!

What an amazing concept! Love that this former detention centre is a floating hotel in the centre of the Royal Docks and runs as a non profit business supporting community charities. The rooms are of ok size , well designed. Very clean. Comfortable bed and good shower. Interiors in communal areas are very stylish. Bar at ground level and also a rooftop terrace with amazing views over the Thames.

Just popped in for a coffee and greeted by a deligh
tful Jade. Shown a few rooms and told about the amazing story of this floating hotel. Intrigued enough to book for my next visit. In the meantime coffee delicious and service perfect

Going to be a bit tough. But for the price, I expected much more.
Stayed for a couple of nights for business reasons.
As many people mentioned the room is small. But I think it’s alright for business travelers. (The bathroom though should have been bigger. It’s quite small and difficult to enter, even when swigging the door around).
Location is great, quiet and close to ExCel.
Breakfast was wonderful (the pastries? oh my! Fresh fruit, orange juice and marmalades also great). The variety was just enough, smaller then some other hotels. But definitely fine. Issue though was that sometimes you have to wait 5-10’ for them to refill the goodies.
Stuff very friendly, with some (Ana) being exceptional. (Also a nice warm touch to have your name written at the door)
But room was a bit dirty. (The toilet not thoroughly cleaned).
Shower pressure very poor, AC too noisy to sleep (closed it, in the end) and the walls were a bit thin (I could hear my neighbor snoring far away and in the background -I know I have supersonic hearing. But still).
Toilet water pressure quite poor. I am ashamed to say that I use the trash bucket…
So I am a bit torn.
Loved the view (although couldn’t move the curtain aside or open the window).
Loved the breakfast and stuff, as well as the bed.
But the small (and dirty in my case) bathroom and the other inconveniences, makes me for the price paid to reduce my evaluation.
R. M.
Very friendly staff and delicious breakfast overlooking the docks. Will take a cable car to Greenwich later ,nice relaxing stay and late check it's a bonus as my son's birthday today.

Love this place! Had the set Christmas menu, wasn’t sure what to expect as I hadn’t heard of most the ingredients. Turned out to be the nicest meal I’ve had in ages.
The staff can’t do enough to help you, so friendly.
Before even delving into the good this place does, which is what drew us here, it’s a fantastic hotel. Couldn’t fault them on a thing.
C. F. H.
I can't describe with my words.its amazing of cute, the hotel it's really cool, end shining full of life end surrounded by a river , a lot of exotic birds around, indicated for peace and quiet.Great service clean and affordable.

Stayed here for one night as part of a Wowcher deal, which included also light breakfast and a single cable cart ride. The hotel looks lovely, it is vibrant and modern. And the staff here are nice too. It being on the water makes a nice touch. The rooms are small but not too small, still plenty of space and a size I expected for staying in London. Facilities here are good and the location is very good, it's in a not as busy area of London which I like. However, downside was the breakfast which was the takeaway one as there offered buffet breakfast was an extra £10. It was quite poor, the food did not taste good, had a buttered croissant, yogurt, apple, orange juice and jam. Probably the only nice thing was the orange juice. My partner had a vegan breakfast with oats, nakd bar and apple, all of which tasted poor also.
The cable car ride is good but not as good as I was expecting.
Would stay here again if they fixed their breakfast to a better standard
L. P.
Great location, wonderful staff, but the rooms are not good at all. The walls are very thin so you can hear absolutely everything from your neighbours. There are no TV’s in the room (likely for the reason listed).
The deluxe room is absolutely tiny, and barely suitable for 2 adults.
I’d recommend the hotel for a one night stay, and if you’re going to the eXcel centre, it’s a great location, just don’t expect a great night sleep with all the noise.
L. M.
Firstly it is very clean, and the staff are lovely. I upgraded my room and the only difference was you looked onto the river.to do this you had to climb over your bed that was against the wall. The rooms are tiny and really clustafobic and the window don't open even a little. The hotel looks like a prison. . we asked to speak to the manager who wasn't around so we just left. Unless you get a cable car to the O2 there is hardly anything around.
E. B.
Food was a bit expensive. Medium burger arrived well-done. Service was a bit slow.
Now for the good bits: the food was very tasty. The servers were very nice. The view is great.
L. S.
Stayed here for a few nights. Overall it is a nice hotel, views really great and lovley atmosphere in the bar and lobby area👌 well stocked bar. The rooms are really small and don't have a TV that was the downside, would be okay for yourself but a bit of a squeeze for two. Other than that quite a nice hotel with alot going on.

Lovely contemporary gloating hotel. Second visit here. Staff very helpful and informative. Room compact fresh and clean. No TV which is not required. Plenty of restaurants. Emirates Cable Car 5 mins away. London 02 accessible. Lovely location. Highly recommended

What a great idea - stay in a cool hotel and know we're helping other people.
Small but spotless cabin-type room a bit like a cruise ship. Just a liquid shower gel on the wall, good eco lack of redundandant plastic toiletries, but you can request other items - less waste.
Nice staff.
K. B.
The staff were very kind and nice!!
I got the room with the ocean view, the room is quite small but comfy.
The bathroom was really small like can barley move and uncomfortable.
There isn't no iron in the room and no phone to call reception, so I had to go down and they have a iron room, so have to leave your room with your stuff to go iron on a different floor.
Location is great, nearby car parking structure. Water, and the lifts to get you into my city'.
For the price and location I'd say it's worth it.
R. W.
I was working here as part of Crisis at Christmas and the hotel staff still working were all amazing: friendly, caring, empathetic, and knowledgeable. I have recommended this hotel to friends outside of Crisis and they love it

Stayed here during a trade show at the ExCeL, which is only a 3 min walk away and was super convenient. Also it’s very close to the Queen Victoria DLR train stop and then you can transfer to many other lines for easy access across London. It’s right next to the Emirates Airline cable car which is a fun experience over to the O2 Arena, which has some decent shopping, restaurants and pubs. There is a Tesco Express across the street if you need a last min item but not much else close by.
We had a great time while on site and the staff is amazing and very friendly. We ordered dinner on our first night at the bar and food is pretty good
We also had breakfast included in our reservation and there were good options with fruit, yogurt, and some hot options. There are only two coffee machine and the lines can be a bit long in the morning.
The rooms are very tiny, only about 13sq meters and I would really only recommend for one person per room. There is no closet, no dresser and no iron in the room, however there is a small shelving unit, some hangers on the wall and desk you can put clothes on. The bathroom is also very tiny and the door swings one way to be the bathroom door and the other to be the shower door, I had to swing it out into the room to have enough extra space to dry off after a shower. I was on the river side and had a queen sized bed but a few coworkers were on the front side and had 2 twin bed pushed together and ended up sinking into the space between them overnight.
Overall it was great experience but would only recommend for single travelers or a couple that doesn’t mine close spaces and that’s the only reason I am giving 4 stars.
J. B.
Honestly, Good hotel is one of the most special hotels I’ve ever stayed. I remember waking up and looking through the window when suddenly some guys were swimming right next to our room. If you are looking for an unique hotel experience in London that is also kind of affordable then this is your place.
Also, the area is great as you are so close to some fun tourist attractions as the cable car or the O2 arena. Dlr is also near by so you can get to central in a few minutes.
S. W.
Staff were fantastic, easy to check in and out.
Box style rooms, so not huge amounts of space. But very communal areas which make up for this .
En-suites were small but functional, although very little privacy if you're sharing the room.
Gutted to have missed out on the rooftop bar and menu.
Will definitely be visiting again.
M. C.
Great spot to stop for a coffee. Wide windows give you a vista onto the docks. And there is q swing in the lobby so play!
C. M.
What a hotel stay this was.
Friendly accommodating staff, clean hotel, safe hotel. Amazing view of the river. You really can't ask for more here.
Super location with amenities everywhere.
Bars surrounding the near areas. Plenty of places for food.
The Emirates sky ride is a 1 minute walk away 🚶♂️
Super hotel with an amazing story of how it got there. We will let the staff fill you in on that part.
Me and my girlfriend loved this place... thank you Good hotel.

The manager and staff were very helpful and went above and beyond to help us have an amazing experience. The breakfast particularly was very good compared to other hotels - orange juice for example was freshly squeezed and not concentrated.

So me and my mate rock up in their we decided to have a so we made ourselves comfortable someone came up to us promptly and asked us what we would like the drinks with decent the price was fair and the service was good...... I reckon our to be happy to come back to this place again.

Corporate event, food buffet very good quality, views across dock lovely, nice relaxing atmosphere in the lounge areas this was held in during day and evening whilst World Travel Market taking place. Thanks to Danish Tourist Board for hosting an enjoyable and informative event. ( And the 'Lakrids by Bulow' liquorice chocolate coated sweets from Copenhagen were to die for! ) Seems only Harrods stock them here but they're on my Xmas list ready as gifts for others and for me haha!
J. C.
Good location for O2 and events. Basic rooms small but all you need for 2 or 3 nights. Good breakfast selection. Staff are very helpful.
C. S.
Went for a thank you meal on Saturday. Nice place to go to, the food was good, excellent service from Mantas who was attentive. We felt really special with the manager coming a few time at our table to check that everything was ok. Definitely will go back.
W. S.
Wonderful place to stay, defo feel good staying here!
All the staff espcially Queen and Anna are so friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay perfect!
Weather was lovely so roof bar was open, drinks and food were both deliciuos and again we were made to feel so welcome.
This us our second stay, first was in partial lockdown which was great too. Highly recommend paying the extra for a variety of buffet breakfast dishes.
Look forward to our next stay real soon!!

Staff are polite and friendly and helpful. Love the calm atmosphere, the food is pretty good, but they're currently only serving drinks and snacks due to restrictions. I can just chill out here for ages and watch the world go by. The view is breathtaking.
P. P.
Booking with wowcher! So wasn't a bad deal.... wouldn I pay the normal rate? Nope, sorry far to expensive for what you get but saying that room was ok...not the biggest but we got moved to a water front view due to the first room having dirty bedding. Staff were very sympathetic but even so rooms slightly over priced if booking without a deal!!
H. C.
We really loved our stay at the Good Hotel - the staff were really friendly & welcoming, the rooftop bar was great & our room was lovely & cosy. We really loved the aesthetic of the hotel & it had a wonderful atmosphere.
D. A.
Place and location is perfect, value for money isn't great as you getting a tiny room, also had a view not to a riverview but a terrace...avoid 164 room nr

I can't describe with my words, Colossal a hotel surrounded by a Lake, it's unbelievable how many hidden beauties there is in canning Town,a place from another galaxy.like nest of silence.very, very indicated against stress,I mean I felt like king for two days.
A. M.
Didn't stay, but a great place to stop for a tasty, well-made coffee, with super-friendly staff, a cool, laid back vibe, and nice tunes.
M. A.
Very funky. Rooms could do with a bit of an update, but the the idea is great, and the communal spaces are pretty cool.
C. J.
As soon as we booked it the staff on the phone where absolutely brilliant. There manner on the phone, so polite, clear to understand and helped with an offer. Beautiful.
When we arrived most warmest welcomes we've had in a long time and it was genuine. We wanted a room with a view of the Thames and cable cars, no problem asked if we had touched anything in the room due to covid. Beautiful.
So we got a room with a view, next a hair dryer, the beautiful French lady had finished her shift, but still went and got it for my wife. Her beautiful side kick which served us drinks in the bar was great, we where having lingo lessons of lots of places around the world.
There was nothing the staff would not do for you, and it was even better in the rooms as no TV, so you had to communicate the old fashioned way.
Thank you for making our stay BEAUTIFUL, I use it alot as our lovely French lady kept saying it. Hopefully we will return sooner than later.
l. c.
I found the rooms to be small and not very practical. I tried to call reception at around 1.30am due to a noise disturbance from the neighbouring room, but the phone just rand through. The breakfast bag was also poor. I won't be returning to this hotel.
C. D.
Nice views by the river. Room slightly small. Bed up against the window and bathroom facilities not very private. Door is glass and has gaps. All your basic needs. staff very helpful. Had a lovely pleasant stay.
O. W.
Beautiful room, kind staff, they even upgraded my room to one with a river view, which was stunning
L. M.
Comfy bed but a bit small a room.
Only issue was some socks left behind from previous occupants.
S. T.
Enjoyed a 1 night stay with Hubby, was really nice and friendly. Had a lovely look out onto the Thames from our bedroom window watching the swans and water sports. Hotel was clean and cosy. Due to covid there was restrictions on certain things but this did not dampen our stay. Ideal location next to Emirates cable carts. Would highly recommend.
T. K.
Very practical for the ExCeL centre, not much night life, and no dining-in during the evening.
Very clean, quiet and functional.
S. O.
Very nice place staff really helpful respect you has person
Meal quality food
M. H.
I haven't stay in that hotel yet as too close to my place and always more less there how ever the location of the hotel is world class. A lovely hotel inside the water and feelings like you are in a boat.
The restaurant is amazing and make you feel you are in a cruise.
A. D.
I had the best service from alfonso jordan ara marie and aracely :) I will definitely come back !
S. S.
Very cordial staff and great views. The place is really cozy and friendly. Loved it!
S. T.
Very quick stay for us but really enjoyed! So welcoming! Staff very friendly and lovely. Will definitely book and stay again.
Thankyou!
Selina & Orlando from Pembrokeshire Wales 🙂

Lovely hotel with a modern look! The rooms are quite nice and modern. As the rooms are literally shipping container-sized, it can sometimes be a bit small, especially in the bathroom, but this is generally not an issue. Everything needed for a regular stay us included and available, and other things and services can be requested. The lobby feels homely and offers a great bar with cocktails.
T. W.
Great little hotel, basic, clean and ethos is great, staff are friendly and helpful and close enough to central London to get too
M. M.
Perfect location for the London triathlon. Wonderful friendly helpful staff, everything you need on a hotel room and a great water view!
S. B.
Loved it. Cool and stylish, rooms big enough, bed very comfy, river view in a deluxe was great. Room changed straight away due an annoying noise in original room. Breakfast choice impressive. Would totally recommend. Probably would not stay on a weekend as a sensitive sleeper as I imagine it would be noisy. Getting into central London for the theatre was easy. Lastly, the Ethics are refreshing for a London hotel.
S. M.
Lovely rooms and friendly staff, but not having the roof terrace open was disappointing as was really looking forward to the views.
B. K.
Really good concept and all you need if you're looking for a place near central London. The rooms are practical without frills (no TV). The concept of communal lounging may not be for everyone but it works in London. Staff were also helpful and friendly and can't fault the breakfast. However, I'd question the 4 star rating. The rooms are very basic and small, my double bed was 2 singles pushed together with a mattress topper, so not the most comfortable sleep. All that aside, I would recommend this place to a single traveller, but would really recommend considering an upgrade for 2 people.
K. S.
Really recommend!! We stayed here on the night of our wedding and it is such a cool hotel - incredible views over the water and fab rooms that had everything we needed. The staff were so kind to us and even had upgraded our room to a lovely corner room which was incredible. The breakfast was delicious too! And the whole stay was very reasonable for the area too.
K. :.
Really enjoyed my stay at the Good Hotel London. The staff was nice and friendly and made you feel welcome. The rooms aren't too big, but if you're mostly just looking for a place to sleep, they are great. There's room for suitcases and a nice big bed with a great view over the Thames (At least the even numbered rooms) The bathroom was a bit small for my liking, I fit in there, but there wasn't much moving around in there. Though the shower in the bathroom was nice and spacious. Breakfast was £13.5 per day and had a nice broad selection of items. The hotel was nice and clean and the staff was always around, but you never noticed them, unless you were looking for them.
E. H.
Fantastic stay on 12th June 2021. Lovely room. Very polite and helpful staff. We love our take away breakfast.
D. M.
We were really happy with this hotel, the bar is just super relaxing and you have this beautiful view over the water. The staff is so friendly and helpful. You have something to eat and if you don’t like this, there are enough places around you where you could find a nice place to eat. We had to be at the o2 arena and this location is perfect for the o2 arena. The only thing to know when you book a room here, is that the rooms are small and the beds are also small. But we could still sleep good and this was no problem for us for just a few days.
V. C.
The most beautiful place. And amazing staff and so peaceful. I had the deluxe room water view, omg amazing! The terrace was so beautiful and relaxing !!
K. B.
Nice view, good vibe and GF foods available. Just gets a little chilly inside.
K. S.
Was really interested in staying at this hotel when I read about all the good work it does in the local community.
Good points:
Full length mirror at the end of the bed
Good tea in room
The shower door doubles as the door into the bathroom, great use of a tiny space
Shower is good
No wasteful plastic in the bathrooms
Food was good
Design is cool
Bed is great size and very comfy
Bad points:
No biscuits
Not enough milk
No room service
No robes
Only 2 pillows on the bed makes it a bit uncomfortable
It’s a little noisy in general not just on the road side of the hotel. Someone flushing the toilet in the room next door does sound like it’s in your room.
A. R.
Excellent hotel with a fantastic message.
Room was very basic and quite small, but that was expected. Bed was super comfy and the room very well maintained.
All the staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful.
Transport is easy to access with the DLR a short 5 min walk away.
Only ever had the breakfast, which I must say was exceptional. The range of fruit, berries, yogurt is to be highly commended.
Would love to see you in Australia.
A. T.
I stayed here for a conference at the excel. It's about a 5-10mins walk away. Nice clean room with a lovely waterside view. Good shower and dark curtains. There are a couple of plugs and 1 USB and tea and coffee making facilities. It's a little noisy with planes in the morning but earplugs are provided. The lobby area is nice and apples are on supply. I had a delicious veggie pasta meal which was huge. Staff are really lovely and helpful. The hotel is very close to royal Victoria Station and restaurants and cafes
S. M.
Good location if you are going to the 02.
Good concept - hotel looking shabby - rooms were small and not very well soundproofed. If you a light sleeper like me I would not recommend. Breakfast was really nice though. And the lady at reception who booked us in was lovely.
T. r.
Loved staying here. A great crew. The dining staff mad a great breakfast experience. Stayed 3 days. Beautiful view. Great central location for going out exploring. Beds were comfy and clean. Bathroom small and efficient but clean. Roof top bar awesome. Lobby so cool and unique.
E. G.
Wonderful friendly staff. Great roof top bar. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
L. F.
Enjoyed staying at the hotel for my birthday last weekend. After reading previous reviews I booked the larger room which turned out to be a good move, as it was still pretty small! Bed comfortable, and room was nice and warm yet walls a little thin. Aside from it being a not-for-profit, the best thing was probably the breakfast! I loved looking out over the docks whilst tucking into soya yoghurt, berries, coconut flakes and cacao. So much choice. Most staff seemed very friendly. I would go again!
Y. M.
Coming often to London I have stayed at many different hotels but this is great for what your paying. Nice quite location, really nice place to work and comfortable room. Bathroom is a little strange but overall friendly staff and nice hotel. Very hipster and a nice start up feel to work.
M. H.
Good, maybe. Average, yes. Rooms are smaller than I thought from the initial photos. There was only one plug socket and it's no where near the bed, this is a pain in today's world. The toilet was small but functional, the frosted glass door didn't really offer privacy. On the plus side it's a very modern, funky place, the staff were friendly and the breakfast finishes at midday, great for a hung over morning.
I. I.
Lovely friendly welcomly proffesional staff !!!
Exquisite 21 century modern panoramic rooms in the heart of Royal Victoria Dock Western Gateway London, xroad to Emirates Royal docks lift and Royal Victoria tube station !
Amazing 360° panoramic view of the beauty of the Royal Victoria Western Gateway London !
The best Xmas experence what you not even can imagine !
Excellent freshly, tasty professionally made breakfast, lunch and dinners.
A place where it is really worth visiting !!!
Thank you so much !
It's been a pleasure to be your guest !
Room 138.

Second time I've stayed here on my own - just as a little adventure!
Location - this is excellent - easily accessible by public transport and next to the Emirates cable car - well worth a trip!
Room - basic but spotless however some of the paint was peeling off the tiles in room 235
Staff - welcoming and efficient, I chose to eat at the Living Room due to the friendliness of the black male person I encountered working there.
The staff in the restaurant seemed a little out of their depth -need more training, but tried SO hard to please everyone!
The food was excellent - the wine comparatively expensive.
S. S.
Nice Hotel with a great sourounding and many amenities. Would definitely recommend
D.
Excellent location, great views over the Dock, marvellous roof top terrace bar and conveniently near a DLR station. Friendly helpful staff, this hotel is an interesting and refreshing concept so experienced a really different type of stay. If you must have a TV in your room it won't be for you! There are restaurants and bars nearby but Canary Wharf and surrounding area offer better options. Try the Emirates airline over to Greenwich great experience and fab views - well worth a night time trip too.
K. O. R.
The rooms are very comfortable and the air conditioning helps a lot in summer weather. The dinner menu is varied, with the salmon that I ordered being delicious!
Add the convenient location and the mission of the hotel and you got yourself a great place to stay for a weekend break in London.
B. S.
Great hotel but a little far from the city centre. The room was a tad on the small side but the hotel in general was clean and modern very Dutch/architectural feel. The staff were very accommodating and helpful and the view from the hotel is lovely. They could do with a room service option being so far out and the room walls are paper thin, you can hear your neighbours toilet flush but that didn't bother us too much as we didn't spend much time there, also a TV and a fridge wouldn't go amiss. All in all a pleasant stay just needs a few home touches
T. O. “. T.
Good value, but room was incredibly small, so much so we had to ask for a bigger room, otherwise one would have to climb over the other to climb in n off the bed... the design meant the bed was pushed up against the window with no room to get round, due to the width of the room being the same measurement as the length if the bed...
Eatery was very good. Lots of good value choices and good was well prepared and presented...
H. K.
Really enjoyed our stay and the staff made it all the more special.
J. K.
It is a Good Hotel, the staff and friendly, the rooms are well kept. The room I was in the toilet water was a bit smelly, not sure if it is due to using recycled water and the filters need changing. The breakfast is very good, and we order dinner too which was superb.
G. M.
Absolutely wonderful staff and place. Thank you for supporting Crisis Christmas!
P. J.
Good hotel :-) Rooms are really small but common areas are great. Had a few issues with the bathroom and we were changed to another room. Practical, minimalist hotel with a good social support philosophy. Loved relaxing in the lobby.
S. K.
I love the philosophy of this hotel and was pleased to see the front of house really offered great service. Lovely, lovely staff, couldn't be more helpful. Delicious breakfast! Loads of variety. We had been kindly upgraded which took a while to sort out, but we did love the terrace, where we were given a complimentary drink for our room delay. Sadly our room smelt horrible. We think it was the drains as, when we showered, the water didn't drain away, completely filling the bathroom floor with ankle deep water. The toilet brush was filthy, with loads of loo roll stuck in it. The dirty toilet smells was so disappointing as we were really pleased with our comfy, very Clean beds and minimalist but clean room. I love to have a TV in my room when I go away but it did us good not to have one really!!! We would highly recommend this hotel but hope the bathrooms can get sorted, the lady next door said the same. Such a shame.....
m. k.
Very nice hotel, especially for people who wants to have a break from a screen - there is no TV. Not in the rooms or at the entry. Staff was very welcoming and assisting.
The only reason for 4 stars is - our room wasn't as clean as I would expect. The floor needs more hoovering and sink needed a better wash. The bedding was great though.
D. H.
The double room was very small. With only 2 accessible UK plug sockets and 2 EU sockets. The bathroom was extremely small. No TV. No wardrobe for hang clothes. No hot breakfast and continental was very pricey. A kettle that was provided had a lead to small to reach the desk provided. Meaning we had to boil the kettle on the floor. Only positives were the staff who were polite and very helpful. The cleanliness of the room.
C. S.
We got an amazing deal staying here so try and book ahead of time. The hotel is a converted barge I believe that has travelled over from Amsterdam. The rooms are small but as you're only sleeping in them that's great. Tea and coffee were in the room too. Staff were friendly and attentive although we only had to deal with them at check-in/out. Really fun stay, thank you.
C. G.
My room was spotlessly clean, the bed wonderfully comfortable. The shower was good with nice towels, in fact all the linen was clean and good quality. Could have done with more tea bags and milk and a better arrangement for the kettle. Minor things really. Overall a great experience, I would highly recommended the hotel to everyone I know.

I have mixed feelings about the rooms: the space is incredibly limited, so if you're staying for more than a couple of days, it might not be that comfortable. And yet, the design and view over the river kinda make up for it.
The breakfast is quite good but makes they give to the food seems blatantly misleading. They make everything sound organic and locally sourced, but that's clearly not the case.
The common area is great to work.
A. S.
It’s a good hotel (built in Amsterdam and then shipped to London). Free apples in common area! Friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Very basic bedrooms/bathroom and not so soundproof.
E. W.
I loved the idea of staying on a floating hotel with a social conscience and I wasn't disappointed. This is a wonderful hotel. An oasis of calm and comfort in a bustling city. The staff are professional, warm and friendly. The rooms are spotless and beautifully appointed - mine boasted an amazing view of the Thames. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend the Good Hotel, in fact I already have to friends and family and I will definitely be coming back.

I really enjoyed staying here. The rooms were the size of cupboards and one needed to be a contortionist to use the en-suite. But that's cool, I knew that going in and the rooms were cool. Bed was very comfortable.
Staff were young and friendly, breakfast was great. Good position too.
J. E.
I did not stay here, but we hosted an event on this floating hotel. The staff handled things very well, even if we stayed almost an hour extra. The snacks stoped coming a bit early but while they lasted they were imaginative and tasty: like scampi on a shot glass with limoncello and Prosecco. The drinks were basic: bottled beer, basic wine -- but plentiful. Conclusion: staff and food at the Good Hotel are good.
M. K.
A comfortable, well designed room with a lovely view. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Good breakfast, though the coffee could be stronger and toaster more efficient.
Downside, the loo did not flush properly even after we had reported it; only enough milk for 2 cups of coffee/tea provided, but when we asked, more was brought quickly.
R. H.
I haven't personally stayed at the hotel, but local people are allowed and very much encouraged to enjoy the lobby and the bar area. The staff are incredibly friendly and the location is perfect, both for nearby places of interest and for setting.
Their work and ethos make them a perfect fit for the this up and coming area of East London.
K. B.
Great service. Clean, cosy rooms. Comfortable sleep. Didn't have time to try out the restaurant. Roof bar was lovely. Great modern decor. Fast check in and out. Option to leave bags before or after stay for free. Great location. Easy to get to. Loved that the hotel is a community project ❤️
M. U.
Beautiful layout, friendly and polite staff. Would definitely go again.

I heard about this hotel coming to London and I was really exited to finally be able to come and see it myself. The design really amazed me and the people were very friendly. The hotel is close to the city center which is a big plus for me!
he Good Hotel is brilliant. Luxurious, really cool vibe, beautiful cosy rooms. the staff are super-friendly and the 'living room' is a lovely place to hang out and work. it also has a great back-story ... the profits go to good causes. Located right next to London City Airport Emirates Air-Line cable car, which has great views of the city.
Waking up to a view of the Thames and o2 was lovely.
J. C.
A cute hotel with lots of style and charm. A few minutes walk from the DLR and the Emirates.
R. B.
Great hotel for the price. Rooms were small as expected but of good quality. We were upgraded to a Deluxe room (124) which was overlooking the river with a great morning view. Walls were relatively thin but reception has earplugs. Planes from the nearby airport go over from 6:30am which probably wouldn't let you have a lie in. Bed was very comfortable and reception brought up more pillows on request. The seating area was contemporary and welcoming and the cake on offer looked nice. Its right next to the Emirates Air Line which is well worth a go on a nice day. Great place for an overnight stay and will be staying again.
B. J.
Ideal for ExCeL (Where we were exhibiting at a trade show) the Good Hotel managed that rare thing, to be priced really really well (especially for London rates) whilst being very comfortable, with a style all of its own. So the roof terrace wasn't open when we visited - well it was May, but the rooms were well equipped, the decor was modern, the staff were courteous and everything was good. There's a social aspect that I didn't know about until we were there, but that is very laudable, and whilst the rooms are on the small side, they don't want for anything, and they were prison cells once! For the price it is better than most hotels I've stayed in. Good? I'd say Great.
G. T.
Great hotel and the ethos behind it is amazing. Staff are really friendly and helpful, food is good and breakfast has lots of choice... if you make it early enough you'll be able to take advantage of happy hour! Great location for the o2 and excel.
C. F.
What's better than a hotel near the river? How about one ON the river. This converted boat makes a fantastic and different place to stay in London.
Located just a short tube or cable car ride away from the O2 and central London.
Having your food with such a lovely view this start or end your day is relaxing. The meals and drinks are reasonably priced as well.
Rooms are suitable size but this is clear before booking, with a large lounge area and roof terrace, there's no need to stay in your rooms anyway.
Lastly and more importantly, they have a social enterprise/philosophy that people come first. Long term unemployed people are trained in the hospitality industry here and eventually helped to move elsewhere to other hotels.
Would definitely stay again.
S. M. M.
It's good. No TV @ room, friendly service
M. S.
Fantastic stay .. great hotel … really friendly staff and great breakfast.. bed really comfy and great view of the dock. You won’t be disappointed ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
B. H.
Amazing hotel. Beautiful views, and great atmosphere. The workers are extremely friendly and helpful and the layout of the hotel is wonderful. The breakfast is great too with loads of foods and drinks to chose from. Perfect location for the O2 and excel. Rooms are clean and small but the whole living and lounge area is spacious. I would highly recommend to everyone considering staying here. You'll love it.
M. M.
Small, but comfy and well designed rooms. Bed was comfortable with good linens. Our toilet was always problematic to flush. My favorite amenity: excellent, varied, and healthy options for breakfast. Since this is a converted barge, it is on the water and was especially fun watching the swim team in the morning swimming in the Thames while having breakfast. Staff was friendly. Excellent location to DLR trains. Can be noisy but the white noise app on our phone solved that. I would stay again. Good bargin plus a good cause!
L. B.
Lovely Hotel , beautiful setting over looking the water , went for a work conference. Food was nice & we especially enjoyed the morning coffee & pastries available to us. There are not many facilities available so when it was busy you do have to wait a while. But not really an issue. Would recommend to staff that when your outside the conference rooms, and they have their conversations outside , its extremely loud & you can hear everything! Interesting conversations overheard, which did interupt our lecturer at times! Just a thought. Other than that loved the hotel . Would go again .
M. C.
Staff are super helpful and the common area/bar is a great quirky was to start off an evening/day out. Rooms were small, really small. Bed was comfortable but the duvet was thin and we were unable to change the temperature in the room through the AC unit. There are two plugs in the room, one near the small shelf area, and the other under the bed, which meant we had to crawl under the bed to be able to charge both phones.
j. c.
Excellent hotel stay. If your like me and just like a minimalist room for a good price with excellent features staff and food then here is a place to stay!
Based in the Docklands you are close to the O2 arena, the Excel and you are right next door to the airline cable car. Not to mention it's a floating hotel.
Breakfast is a continental buffet style breakfast. There is also a roof top bar which is well worth checking out!
J. L.
Amazing contemporary hotel. Rooms are small but fully equipped with everything you need! Customer service is excellent. Location is spot on too. Close to emirates airline and tube station. Definitely will be returning on my next visit
L. S. “. S.
Loved our little stay here. Very clean. Staff can't do enough for you but more importantly, (to me anyway) they are All so happy to help. But, they don't just help, they go over & beyond.
It also very close to a car park across the road (£15 for 24hrs). Cheap as chips! The over/underground is just across the road as well.
The cable car is right by the hotel too, great fun if you like that kind of thing.
Finally the hotel is across the water to The O2 and it's really really easy to get there.
We would & will most definitely be going back there.
T. S.
Very nice and modern hotel, perfect for those from Europe as the rooms include EU wall plugs, which was a little annoying as the room therefor only had 2 GB plugs.
Walls were pretty thin as first night I think the room next door was empty so was fine but the second night it was hard to get to sleep as the room were up talking till the early hours of the morning.
Also, room didn’t include a TV, was pretty surprised at first.
Overall I would stay there again and recommend this hotel for others.
W. K.
Amazing customer service from this hotel. The lobby, roof and the rooms were all clean. We had an incident with our safe (locker) in the room. It wasn't accepting our passwords and we had the passports, camera, and cash stored in it. The receptionist got the maintenance person to unlock it the first thing in the afternoon while we were busy visiting places on our schedule. They also provided complementary breakfast.
P. H.
Quirky. Floating. Low cost. Great staff who were all very helpful. Very slow manual booking in system if you booked through an agent. Nice interior design. Convenient for Docklands Railway and Emirates cable car to South Bank. Basic room is small and bathroom is tiny but all well designed so size doesn't matter.
A. S.
Good hotel, we stayed here as we were going to The 02. We got the cable cart over the river to exactly where we need to be. Friendly staff even though we had to change rooms as the fan was broken they supplied us with a heater and it was fine. Only downside is that they do not have English tea bags in the hotel room and the breakfast was continental.
Overall a beautiful hotel with stunning views if we go to the O2 again then we will be staying here. Highly recommended & reasonably priced.
E. R.
Very clean, tidy and unique looking hotel, with a good ethnic and interesting history. Beds are very comfy. The bar staff in particular are extremely friendly, helpful and try their best to give you the best service they can. WiFi was fast which is always a plus. Our experience with a manager/ supervisor however was disappointing as she seemed rude and acted as if we were causing difficulty (in something that really had nothing to do with us). However it was a confusion and was sorted as far as we know. Would just be nice to be treated as a paying customer not an annoyance by someone who is representing the hotel, especially when it was during check in. Another negative was the bathroom doors, which are basically frosted shower doors that don't lock, which is a little odd feeling. Breakfast is expensive but nice, dinner though is very nice and is fairly priced. Very close to excel centre. Overall a lovely stay with a few disappointments that can be overlooked easily. Would recommend.
M. P.
Good value and price for London. Situated close to DLR so easy to get in to center London. Slightly further out but we didn’t find it an issue. Hotel was clean and modern. Room was basic but comfy and provided everything we needed.
L. N.
A lovely hotel that provided me with the best night's sleep I've had in ages. Comfortable beds, great location, easy to get to and really friendly staff. Had a nightmare journey into London but arrived slightly before check in, staff saw how upset I was and went out of their way to organise a room early so I could relax. The rooms are small but perfectly functional. Small on amenities that you might find elsewhere such as a TV etc but for a place to sleep you can't go far wrong. Really lovely communal areas too so great for those traveling alone that don't fancy staying in their room. Overall a really good hotel and I got it at a great price. Would happily book again
C. R.
I loved this stylish, no fuss hotel and I loved the staff even more, all of whom were naturally friendly and eager to help.
We realised when we got to our room that we had been given a double bed instead of twin beds, when I flagged this up it was sorted straight away and handled brilliantly.
The style throughout is very Scandinavian and our room was quite small but suited us for one night. A couple of negatives would be the kettle lead was too short so we had to put it on the chair to boil (easily rectified) and the hotel walls a bit thin so I could hear the couple in the next room talking and their toilet habits!
Overall though I loved my stay and would definitely recommend; we were going to a concert at the o2 and this was in a perfect location to hop on the cable cars near by which took us there in minutes and offered us a fantastic view of London!
R. G.
Fantastic place. No TVs in the room but I hardly noticed. Very nice decor, reminds me a bit of the Ace Hotel but for a much lower price. Best climate control I've had a hotel, staff very friendly and the in-house restaurant was good. Would make this my main place to stay in London if it were a little more convenient to the places I need to go.
P. P.
Hotel is located ideally for the exhibition centre, really interesting concept. Rooms are very cheap, you don't get much in the room, but this is to be expected. What is in the room is good, comfy bed, good shower. If you need to charge more than one device take a plug adapter as there is only one plug. WiFi is included, no TV, so best to leave the room just as somewhere to sleep. Staff were friendly and efficient, the continental breakfast is also good.
S. S.
Not the most comfortable stay, though I suppose the price made up for that. Good location, close to the O2. Was extremely busy when we went - looked like they were filming something there? Lifts were unusable due to people constantly shifting camera equipment. Rooms were extremely basic, and small. Food was mediocre, and I do like the idea of the staff being young and getting back into employment, but it did show. Could have done with having someone a bit more experienced around.
C. H.
Perfect for a mother/daughter trip! This hotel is just fabulous! It's located 2 minutes away from a DLR/tube stop and next to the cable cars. Nice quiet room with AC/heat. The staff make this place what it is... they are so polite and welcoming. We will be back!
C. L.
I had a great experience with Good Hotel near excel London. I love the location, the hotel and the people that worked there. The Good Crew member from the reception are friendly and willling to help you and the room was lovely. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Lovely view overlooking the river. I would book it again whenever I go to Excel and would recommend to others too (which I’ve actually did sharing about this hotel on social media)
L. N.
I can't really fault our stay - The Good Hotel is what it is - don't go expecting a 5* Luxury suite. We needed a base for the night (only a few hours really as were at a gig late and up early again the next day), and we got just that; a really comfy bed, a fabulous shower, and facilities to make a cuppa when we got back late at night. We had the standard double room - if you are thinking of spending any considerable time in the room itself you may want to upgrade a bit, but the communal areas of the Hotel are brilliant so its not essential.
We ate in the bar before we headed out for the evening (Japanese prawns and vegetable tempura highly recommended!) and service was quick and hassle free. The breakfast we didn't feel was such amazing value, as we only had fruit, a pastry and a coffee for our £13.50 a head, but if you were hungrier there is lots on offer. We loved the Cable Car which is less than a 2 minute walk from the Hotel and really was a brilliant way to get to the Gig at the O2 - finished our weekend off to perfection! We'll definitely book again when we come back to London with the Children in December, as we love the whole ethos of this 'not for profit' organisation - if you're thinking of booking do read up on the ideas behind the place, as its quite frankly genius, and we loved it. Thank you.
P. M.
We would choose not to come back again. The rooms were very very small, with very little in the way of amenities.
The staff were very nice. And accommodating.
We were a family of four with two children, we required an upgrade to their largest room. The extra money was well worth it. We would not recommend the standard room.
If you are a single person with no family, the low price may be worth it.
B. L.
Was stopping here after a recommendation by a colleague. Not your usual Travel Inn or Premier Lodge, but about the same pricing. Yes it's floating but no you don't get any motion.
The staff are great, friendly and helpful. Rooms are on the snug size, but have all you need, unless you want a TV. Love some of the design touches, like the bathroom door which doubles as a shower door when turned through 90 degrees.
For those who have multiple gadgets I spotted only one UK 13A plug, the others are EU as The Good Hotel came over from Holland that's not a huge surprise.
I didn't get a chance to try the bar, but it looked fully stocked. I did try the swing in reception though, you've got to, unless you're a soulless husk of a person. ;-)
Would definitely stay again and happily recommend anyone does as an alternative to one of the big chains.
P.S. found a Worry Doll on my pillow at turn down time, makes a change from chocolate. You apparently tell it your worries so you can get to sleep. It worked, slept well.
G. L.
Great hotel for the price. The communal spaces are nice, clean and modern. The rooms are a little small, no TV and with just a washroom, but for the budget conscious guest it's absolutely fine. Staff were really helpful and friendly.
J. S.
Very modern hotel in a nice area of the city that is generally a bit quieter than a lot of others. Interesting place with being on the river and the decor for a good price when on a budget. A few minutes walk from Royal Victoria DLR, which gives good access to the central underground routes for getting into the centre. Couple of negative points though. Firstly the rooms were very small. Similar priced hotels in the area seemed to give much better room sizes. Although the sound proofing from the outside wasn't bad, not good between the rooms. Positives were location, price, cleanliness and helpful friendly staff. Would probably try somewhere different next time in London, although wouldn't rule this place out.
T. L.
Location of this hotel is totally beautiful and calm. But the rooms and showers in them should be bigger. Anyway, I liked my stay there and the receptionists were nice and very helpful.
S. K.
It's a decent hotel with friendly staff. Lobby is nice and they always keep fresh complementary lemonade constantly available. Located right on the river so the setting is very nice. Food places are close by and Tesco directly opposite. Rooms are kept clean and aircons are nice and cold. Bathrooms are clean and water always lovely and hot. It is a GOOD HOTEL :) and is was a nice experience to visit.
f.
Check in took an hour as they couldn't find our reservation, but they provided a few free beer tokens as an apology. The rooms are teensy, beds comfortable, shower hot, air conditioning woefully inadequate. On the whole, not unpleasant, not great. Would stay again.
P. M.
Really enjoyable stay, comfortable room, clean and modern. Quiet at night (and I was facing road too).
Hint - there is a plug above the bed in a little cubby hole. Neat idea.
Love concept of hotel too - that they are doing some good in the world. As a result, am making it my go-to for business trips.
Oh but, WHERE ARE THE TVS!?
B. D.
Good by name, good by nature. It's a nicely decorated hotel (or barge, or both, I don't know how you'd define it). The food was nice and the views over the Thames were too. I had a beef burger which was very nice, the chips were a bit sparing but very good none the less. Would probably recommend to a friend.
M. S.
We stayed here couple of years ago and it was lovely and peaceful with easy access to o2 and city. Room was perfect with a great breakfast
C. F.
Very Good, Great. We really enjoyed our 2 night (Friday & Saturday) stay, the staff were really friendly & helpful, good location as well, would certainly stay again.
The heated floor in the shower room was a great touch as well, well done to the 'Good' team.
L. T.
The room itself was lovely, the bed was really comfortable. The check in staff were very helpful.
I stayed here as I was attending a concert at the O2, and the airline is directly next to both places so the convenience is unparalleled.
The room was very clean, there's nothing I can fault at all, it was also very reasonably priced.
t.
Great hotel. I want to start by saying that I will always recommend it to all of my friends and family going to London.
Quick summary of the best reasons to book a room here:
- good location (although outside the city center and the tourist route, it's close to up-and-coming neighborhoods, the Royal docks, the Emirates Air Line, the O2 and, of course, ExCel Center) and closeness to transportation (DLR to Tower Bridge);
- friendly & warm staff (even though I got there at 3 AM, they still had a smile on their face when I had a ton of questions);
- excellent services;
- cozy rooms (although small, especially if you're travelling with business colleagues!);
- great breakfast selection (especially for a vegetarian like myself): beetroot hummus, beans, scrambled eggs, vegetables, couscous etc.;
- lovely view (especially at night);
- the opportunity of sleeping on water.
If you're still not convinced, please note that this is a non-profit, which helps the local community (especially disadvantaged kids).
B. K.
Oh I can really recommend this place. Lovely modern boat hotel with a lot of modern, lean design. Ok rooms are really small, but where in London can you stay on the water?
The prices are unbeatable if you book early!
Hope the roof top bar with the view on the O2 Dome will be opened when we come back next time...
M. X.
The rooms are very small, the walls thin and the sower is not that good. Unfortunately the room was also not that clean. I think it's a bit overpriced. But the top terrace (only drinks no food!) has amazing views, and the location is ideal to attent Excel Convention. The breakfast buffet for 13,50 £ was not that bad, though I missed boiled eggs.. If you want more like luxury, this is NOT the place
T. R.
Location was great especially if there on business or need to be close to city airport. It's a very modern and beds are very comfortable. Staff are pleasant and helpful too. Only thing I would suggest is bring a hairdryer as they are non available to my knowledge. Would definitely recommend and return to this hotel.
C.
This hotel is awesome!!
I came here with my sister and friend to have dinner because we heard of the great concept of the Hotel and wanted to see ourselves.
We were absolutely taken by the dedication of staff to deliver excellent service. They went above and beyond to give us the best experience possible.
One of the employees, a trainee (I wish I would've asked for his name), even took us for a quick tour.
The hotel is very special but what makes it extraordinary is its employees.
We will for sure return on our next trip!
S. M.
Restaurant/bar area very nice and the food for breakfast was great.
The rooms were rather small, but OK for a solo traveller.
However the flashing red lights on the ceiling fire alarm were very distracting and disrupted my sleep - I could see the flashing with my eyes shut!
I would have preferred to have a room overlooking the dock rather than the front entrance, as there were several people outside late into the evening talking very loudly, so not good for those wanting an early night.
F. C.
Outstanding service, you can't find as good in most 4 stars hotels.
The position is excellent, DLR with a short trip to Tower Bridge and just next the Emirates air line.
The City airport is nearby which makes it ideal. Planes are taking off and landing just above but I hardly heard them.
Rooms are a bit spartan and tight but nothing I did miss, instead they have Euro plugs, super!
Common area is very big and cozy, free fruits and water, well done.
Highly recommended, price is low for London and you do good supporting kids education through the NGO, locals unemployed through training. Sourcing is also from local businesses.
M.
We came to this hotel for my boyfriends birthday, we was very surprised there was no tv in the room luckily we had planned a theatre trip. We did however have to watch things on our phone on sunday morning. Rooms are quite small and compact. The views and the eco side of things are outstanding. Good location to the Emirates cable car. Definitely would stay again.
W. P.
Small room but ok for single visitor. Plugs not obvious and staff send to not be aware of the hidden ones either. Does have euro and UK plugs. Safe too small for laptop or ipad. No hot water on 2nd morning. However this is a great social venture do I would try to support it again.
T. R.
Stayed here for a work christmas do. Had a great time and check in and out was easy. The only odd thing is the bar closing from 11 until midnight. Breakfast was really good. Worth considering if you are staying in the area or have an event at the Excel.
K. L.
Don't judge the container by its cover. When Good Hotel first moved into the neighbourhood. I heard more negative comments than positive ones due to its location. However I see it as an alternative place for me and my friend to spend a quiet weekend afternoon. The interior of the restaurant is hip and contemporary, neon lights, wooden coffee table, comfy sofas and cushions. Great place to chill for a cup of coffee and a piece of cake. Food menu would be better with more options.
S. S.
I was a bit unsure about the hotel from the moment I booked. An ex prison ship? Was it really in Victoria dock? bUT I loved everything about it, especially the vibrancy and social aspect of the hotel. I found that the rooms were lovely, lovely and minimal and clean. There was everything in the room that I would need and contacting the reception desk was very easy via an intercom. What an ingenious use of a bathroom door to double up as a shower screen. Thank you.
J. L.
a lovely hotel, great staff and a brilliant breakfast. the river view room was brilliant, especially at night.
the rooms are understandably small. and as a "deluxe" room, i'd have expected a TV in the room. the only provided electrics in the room are a kettle and a complementary safe.
Breakfast was a buffet, and the food on offer was brilliant.
S. 0.
Nice box room, good for an overnight business trip stay but not so much for leisure. My room provided the essentials but no wardrobe no TV. Breakfast was good scrambled eggs and a wide range of fruits and yoghurt. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Z. B.
Great hotel and excellent staff who could not have been more cheerful, friendly and helpful. Facilities are really great and the living room is a very welcoming place to relax. Location is perfect for the o2 and it's so easy to get into central London. It's a really fun quirky place to stay, we will be back!
S. G.
A real find in East London - lovely staff and interior is quite chic.
"Worry dolls " to put under your pillow - a nice touch.
A. K.
Affordable hotel in a great location for those commuting to canary wharf, excellent or wanting to stay around the City Airport.
The rooms are quite small but we'll equipped. Staff is friendly and the hotel itself has a great vibe and is very accommodating for those wanting to do some work over a nice cup of tea
G. V.
Although in East London i loved the location. Straight on the river "bank" and 50 meter walk from the funicular to the O2. Room very basic and small. Thin walls and could easily here any activity in adjacent rooms. Morning Buffett extra, basic but nice. Not cheap but if you are coming for o2 lengthy events i would recommend.
L. G.
I was using the facilities in a friends room before heading home after comicon. Standard hotel fare. Didn't find a hair dryer though :s they have the complimentary phones that you can take outside that all London hotels seem to have now and the room was smallish but clean and in good repair. Toilet flush was a very inconspicuous metal touch button. 24hr reception and all the other things you've come to expect at a hotel. Can't comment on the whole experience but the bed I laid down on for a bit was decent.
C. M.
Everything was fine. The rooms are quite small, sort of like student accommodation 'halls' and the rooms have no TVs. However they're are clean, nicely decorated and it is easy to get in to the city centre. They have WiFi so if you own a laptop/tablet that should suffice. I would book again.
D. E.
The rooms are nice. Small but nicely decorated. They don't have a TV in the room, but it actually has good WiFi so you can use your phone, computer or tablet for entertainment.
A. P.
Loved It! ! ! Very trendy Hotel in East London. From the moment we entered the staff were all friendly and extremely helpful. We asked numerous questions at the front desk regarding where to go and what to see, massive thanks to Kristian, Kalid and Pelly all your help was appreciated. Rooms are clean and tied, bathroom are also re-cleaned everyday. Beautiful rooftop bar however wished it stayed open past 9pm. Other then that the location was perfect, only a 5min walk from the DLR with cafes, bar and supermarkets at your doorstep..
Thank you to all the team at The Good Hotel for making our stay so comfortable. We enjoyed it.
C. W.
This is my second visit to the Good Hotel and it's as lovely as ever. Very small rooms, but they're spotlessly clean, and there's very friendly staff and the hotel is in a good location! Plus having the Emriates Air Line next door means you can have a cool night trip on it!
My only issue is that I requested an accessible room as myself and my other guest are both disabled, although we are ambulatory. An accessible room helps us a lot because they normally have adaptions like bars in the bathroom to pull yourself up from and lean against when washing.
I called a day before and they said all their rooms were accessible on the phone. However, when we arrived, they told us actually all their accessible rooms were booked. I really wish they would have let us know beforehand because I could have brought my perching stool for instance.
A. D.
I like The Staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The outdoor bar was lovely and again the staff were very friendly. I would recommend and will most definitely be back. The ethos of the hotel is also a plus.
M. E.
Great hotel with non-profit approach which you definitely see in the way how employees are treating guests: simply great, politely and nice. It has been a pleasure to visit the hotel and experience such a nice place. The breakfast has been delicious, it's tasty and offers a bride range of bread, fruits, juices and other foods. A really good hotel with good staff and a good atmosphere.
E. C.
Love this hotel, a place of serenity in the chaos of London. Their ethics are incredibly and I'd love to see more Good Hotels all over the world.
The rooms are small yet comfortable, I'd recommend.
K. D.
A great no-fuss designy hotel. The room is basic and small but comfortable. The "living room" aka hotel reception and its bar and restaurant is very lovely. The lighting, furnishings and atmosphere is very good. You can sit there all day instead of your small room.
I should mention that you can hear the airplane from time to time as it's next to the airport. Nothing unexpected.
The reason for 1 star less than 5 is because some of the hotel staffs at the "living room" were lack of care and attention and seem to be distracted.
S. G.
2 nights in the GOOD Hotel :
- The team is perfect : nice, welcoming, available etc.
- The bedroom : kind of smaller than expected, no TV, no hair dryer ... but comfy bed and nice view on the river !
- The restaurant : was apparently not used to have so many client at the same time, (be patient), but the food was good :)
I appreciate the stay -which was for work, so not so much time in the room-, but : the hair dryer in the bedroom is something every girl needs ...
M. M.
A very clean and comfortable hotel with fantastic views. But if you drive, there's no free parking facilities. So, Don't!
A. G.
Amazing service at the Good Hotel roof top bar! Beautiful views and the best cocktails! Jelani made special cocktails that were so tasty every single time! Would definitely recommend visiting, especially when the sun is out! Can’t wait to come back!

Hotel is lovely. The staff are all very friendly. The room was spotless. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast this morning was excellent. Everything on the menu you could wish for. I would recommend this hotel. Thankyou for a wonderful visit
P. M.
Looks like a large houseboat; could get noisy at the times (uite landing and starting planes from LCY airport nearby ), but general feelings are good. Friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. One little but important minus: WiFi in the hotel room doesn't seem to work 100%.
F. L.
Hotel room is tiny, bathroom is tiny but the atmosphere is wonderful! Staff is very friendly, the hotel offers a lot (including affordable good food). Really well designed, in love!
G. H.
Excellent hotel! Me and a friend stayed at this hotel because it was close to a convention we were attending. I liked the interior design of the hotel and the very friendly staff (in particular Abdul, who was really helpful, thumbs up!). The fact that the hotel is Dutch and is actually floating is also very cool. Breakfast was nicely organised and there was plenty to chose from. I would certainly recommend this hotel to other people. Regards, Gabriel
P. A.
LOVE the lobby staff! Super friendly and ended up becoming our temporary best friends during our stay haha. It's a really great location, as it's located next to a really gorgeous body of water and a few really good restaurants, as well as being only a short walk to the DLR station. Toilet is weird and a lot of water gets out of the shower, but super easy to get used to and overlook considering everything else.
T. T.
Staff are friendly and welcoming. Set in a beautiful location on royal Victoria docks just a short trip to Greenwich and links to jubilee line. Rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.
S. C.
Great Hotel in a great location for events at the 02 Arena. We flew in to City airport and walked to and from the hotel, win 15 minutes. Location is great for public transport and a selection of restaurants and conveniences are easily available in the location. The added value is you are right next door to the Emirates cable car, so you get have simple amenities to get you straight to the 02 across the river, plus its a fun ride with loads of Photo opportunities. Oh an if your are heading to the Excel for an event is is just next door.
M. G.
Slightly expensive for what it is, considering the size of the room and utilities available. Rooms were very small but that should be expected. On the whole quite clean, odd hair in the bathroom. No milk for Tea or Coffee, toiletries etc however these are available upon request.
Great location and very different if you're into unique places to stay.
M. C.
Rooms are basic but comfortable. Plenty of sockets near the bed and excellent WiFi. Staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast has a lot of range well past the advertised continental. Came because of the price and location but would definitely recommend.
A.
Perfectly situated for cable cars to O2, rooms were very small but adequate. No TV but it all felt a novelty some how like a little pine cabin on a small cruise ship, £58 bargain. I liked it.
T. f. C.
Great service. Very friendly staff. Beautiful refreshing design of the building and nice river view. And tell of the above makes up for the smaller than usual rooms but it fits the design of the hotel.
J. “. B. M.
Really lovely hotel. Room was quite small but extremely cosy, very comfortable bed and pillows. Very good pressure and heat from showers, air conditioning, free WiFi and tea and coffee available in room.
The river view was gorgeous, and the area had a surprising amount of activities around.
All around very satisfied with the stay. Would definitely recommend!
M. F.
Small rooms but perfectly formed, great staff and atmosphere, and a very positive ethos reflected in the staff. Only complaint is the toilet would have needed a second or third go to get rid of the paper, but that is more cosmetic than concerning. Found via Priceline, but will look to it directly next time.
J. S.
Lovely building. Friendly staff, reasonable priced drinks. Breakfast a little over priced for what it is but tasty and good quality nevertheless. Great location for the ExCel & o2 arena. Room was a little small but it was clean, tidy and comfy. Probably not suited to a long stay or holiday but great for business travel etc.
K.
Lovely hotel with a beautiful atmosphere and fantastic/unique location, it was quite far from the centre, but very close to the train station and the cable car services. The bedrooms and bathroom were lovely, making the most of the space they had available.
The breakfast seemed a bit overpriced, but apart from that it was great!
J.
Only went for lunch so can't comment on the hotel, but had higher expectations if I'm totally honest. Although the dining room was very quiet it took nearly 15 minutes for water to arrive after ordering, and a further 40 minutes after that for the food. We felt the food was ok but fairly overpriced for what we received (£13.50 for a burger). Although the staff were friendly they could be a little more attentive. Ended up having to go up to the bar to order after 15 minutes as no one came over. I saw another couple who also looked a little frustrated after waiting for longer than what would be considered a normal period before being served...
M. H.
Wonderful waterside location for a fantastic 'Good hotel'. Rooftop bar was wondeful and room was small but neat and quiet. Had a great rest before hitting the streets again. The hotel is adjacent to the Emirates Sky-line which was a view not to miss.
G. P.
Booked this hotel as it was a really good price and nearby to Canning town station where we were meeting for a secret cinema event. Didn't realise how close and convenient it was for the o2 arena, the air line is not far at all. Really nice hotel with a good atmosphere and friendly staff. The room was a little small but for a base for a short stay it was perfect. Definitely stay again.
S. H.
Room was quite small (like a cabin). Loudest toilet flush I've ever heard, but somehow didn't flush much away. Shower was very eco-friendly as it didn't go above 38°. Staff were ok but not most knowledgeable when asking where things in the hotel were, like the ironing room. However, it was a place to stay for the night so in that regard did what was required.
J. W.
Great experience in a completely different environment. Well located for the Emirates cable car and near to DLR. Upgraded so had good views over the dock. Evening food menu a bit disappointing but lots of local restaurants. Bar area very noisy and limited comfortable seating. However would return.
S. T.
The only thing missing is a tv or radio in the room. Opt for a water view
J. A.
This place is a beautiful gem! What a great little spot to work from, food is delicious, but the best thing is the view coupled with the fact that it is relatively unknown, so completely non-crowded during the day. You can happily work in blissful surroundings which I find really productive.
B. C.
Stayed here for 3 days for a conference next door. The check-in was nice and the room was comfortable. though I was surprised that there was no hair dryer in the room and I have to ask for it. The internet was on and off so you might need to use your own hotspot. I like the food there and the servers were really friendly.
G. M. K.
A lovely hotel - rooms are small but cozy. Nice living room area with bar and games. Lots of attractions around the area and close to the centre of London. Royal Victoria stop on the Docklands Light Railways is just 2min walk away from the hotel.
J. B.
Small room and bathroom was tight but what can you expect for a good value price! The communal area in this hotel is nicely decorated and a good place to relax. Great staff!
J. K.
Ideally located around a 10 min walk to Excel London. The staff are very friendly and moved me without hesitation to another room when the lock on my original room failed. The rooms were very clean and nice. This hotel probably has the best broadband I have ever used in a hotel, perfect for streaming Netflix and no annoying sign on screens before you can use it. The only downside is the hotel is directly under the flight path for London City Airport. So you get quite a bit of aircraft noise during the day until 10 pm when flights stop, they then resume at 6:30 am. I would stay here again.
M. T.
The room is your typical hip/modern decor. Good beds and bedding. The curtains were a bit stained with what looked like chocolate and pen marks.
You could almost hear the next door neighbors through the walls.
Small shower but good, I didn't like the design with the bathroom door that couldn't proper close however I liked the function that is also could work as a shower door.
There is no tv. There is only one overhead light and I missed a bedside lamp, either light or no light. There is a USB outlet which I liked.
The atmosphere is something between a hotel and a hostel, the greeting was not the best, no 'service' talk and the check out when I pointed out the stains the answer was 'usually housekeeping notes this, anything els?' - ehm okay.
All staff greeted nicely in the hallways. Housekeeping was fine and the location is really good!
The rooftop bar is cute, but was were full when we arrived and there was a birthday saturday.
It is a up'ncoming new area, nice buldings, a tescos and the DLR works fine to tower or you can walk to Canning Town Tube station.
There is much thought to the decor which is nice but were open, clean and not so cosy.
To sum up a okay good experince to the price and good beds.
A. H.
Nice and unique hotel! Would definitely stay there again.. Easy access to the tram service less than 5min walk. Lovely scenery of the Thames while having breakfast which was 👌🏽💯
S. R.
So nice to have a non corporate hotel ..the Good Hotel is a floating building ,towed from Amsterdam...both there and here in East London, it trains local staff in hospitality ,uses local produce and beer for many things. It's a relaxing place. Nice food..good atmosphere. One of my favourite places round here..
D. G.
After an initial room booking error, the stay was for one night, but as youd expect for London, an enjoysble stay.
Breakfast was good with a healthy selection.
As floating hotels go it was great. Although it is close to city airport and on the flight path your supplied ear plugs for a decent nights sleep.
M. F.
Lovely Scandi style and generous public space. Very convenient for DLR station, great views over the water. Small room but good bed, and great price. Breakfast was diverse, comprehensive and appealing. Friendly staff too. I'll be back.
e. c.
Comfortable room, a cozy bed, and air conditioning! That was a huge plus as we were visiting during a heat wave. Only a few electrical outlets in the room (one behind the bed and another near the side table) so keep that in mind depending on how many gadgets and gizmos you need to charge. The staff were attentive and courteous. They can hold bags before checkin and after check out so you can explore the city without lugging bags with you. Highly recommended!
b. s.
It's ok for what it is. Rooms are cheap but the rooms are very very small. We had the king size bed and the room was really cramped so it's a no go if your claustrophobic. No tv doesnt matter at all, stay at home if you want a tv
J. B.
In a word... Fantastic! Great staff who are professional, friendly and very helpful. Rooms are warm, comfy and the hotel is in a great location - I love Good Hotels ethos and look forward to a return visit - very highly recommended
R. U.
The staff were absolutely lovely, very helpful and friendly. The rooms are a tad small but make up for it by being so comfy. The best thing is that they donate £5 from each booking to charity so all in all gets thumbs up from me.
N. Q.
Haven't even checked out yet and still happy to give 5 stars (even though there's no TV lol). Everything was good but the best thing ever is the staff. So friendly, helping and attentive, best hotel customer service in my opinion. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. 😊
D. M.
30 mins from the city and under 60 from the West End. Don't get the DLR come down the river and then jump the Sky Line making getting here your first fabulous experience. Eat here? The food is excellent, black cod balls, dogfish fritters, sweet potato fries are all excellent. A huge range of great craft beers and good wines at affordable prices. Dinner was great and breakfast was excellent.
The room aren't huge but they are perfectly formed. It's true that the rooms are not hetetically sealed, not as quiet as CitizenM for example, but I thought the neighbourhood noise level was fine. Bed was comfortable and the towels were big and fluffy.
All this and for a good cause. I will be back soon.
K. O. R. E. X.
The price is fairly expensive for what it is. There are no TVs in the room and they room size are relatively small. Just a little bit bigger than a single rooms. This means bathroom and toilet are very small too. On comparison to say Travelodge, it is probably not a good value. I find staff to be friendly, helpful and polite. The area is sterile and devoid of any culture. Think of it as going to a concrete jungle and there is really no atmosphere. Those who like the solace of being alone or being cut off may perhaps enjoy their stay here. Don't get me wrong, it is okaying service but I won't be going back there. Oh parking facilities are just massively expensive too. The cheapest carpark offers 15 British Pounds for 24 hours at a flat rate. This is nuts. Think twice before going to this area.
M. P. R.
The arquitecture is awesome. The space is very well optimize and looks very modern and stylish. The price is good (for London) and the area is far from the center but close to the Business area. The restaurant is really good, thanks to the spanish chef I think, and the really nice staff. Problem: the room was very cold and not perfectly clean...
D. G.
Great breakfast . Docklands Light Railway (DLR) a few minutes walk away . A rooftop bar. Restaurants close by pizza bus and crepes right outside the gangway. Great staff and a comfortable bed what more could you want?
O. R.
Stayed here previously and stay had a few problems but this time stayed in the corner view room it was amazing really nice room big bathroom, the rooftop bar was amazing recommend the ginger mojitos & the manager Charlene looked after us really well! 100% will be coming back
C. D.
The room we were given had not been cleaned and the bed had not been made, however, the staff were apologetic and gave us a free upgrade with a lovely view of the docks! Great value hotel in a nice area with the DLR being a short walk away.
J. W. O.
Fantastic experience; stayed here with my family incl 4 kids. Staff very friendly, helpful and attentive. Cosy living area downstairs and nice rooftop bar! Clean facilities and very good food!! Absolutely recommendable!
R. G.
Amazing beds although not much space in the rooms or toilet as we had booked 2 singles instead of a double bed. Lobby is spacious plus beutiful, staff are great and shops are close by
V. B.
You get what you pay for. The room was small and basic, which I was expecting for the price. Spotlessly clean too. However, the walls felt thin and I was woken up in the night several times. Someone next door was snoring loudly! OK as an overnight crash pad, but wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay.
M. A.
This hotel is lovely and modern, staff were very friendly upon arrival and didn't make you feel out of place, the room I booked was a standard room so fairly small but big enough for me, they don't have tvs in the room which I thought was going to be quite boring for me but instead you have a phone that you can use for free at the time of your stay which I think is absolutely amazing, even international calls were free, the bathroom had a shower not a bath but again I prefer a shower, the only downside to me was the room seemed to be dusty and by that I don't mean dirty because it was spotless but just dusty but as soon as I put the aircon on it cleared. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is travelling on a small budget but enjoys luxury
R. M.
An interesting hotel, quite different from others around. Reception is always friendly and rooms are compact and basic but usable, although I've only stayed solo. Well worth a visit as a change from the usual hotel :)
S. C.
The clue is in the Name.... A fantastic hotel, in probably the strangest location I have stayed in. I was hesitant booking this at first, however am so glad I did.
The staff were amazing and the roof bar is by far the coolest place to visit in London, especially at Night.
A Top hotel, if there were 10 Stars I could give I would do.
I will be back again very soon.
A. M.
Has prayer facilities for Muslims and a great view of the river. Great staff, very welcoming and no-one rushes. Coffee and food are excellent and great service. My favourite place on London to get some work done
A. P.
We went to London for work. When we did teh check in we received a free room upgrade and also a complementary drink each from the hotel. The staff was very friendly and always there for everything we needed.
It was a great stay and we recommended to all our business partners we saw during our stay in London. For sure we will repeat. We already have our fav hotel in London :-)
A. M.
What a great hotel with a fantastic ethos! Rooms are compact & bijou but very efficient use of space. Room has everything you need but, if like me, you need items such as a hairdryer these are available from the front desk which is manned 24/7. Staff were exceptionally welcoming & friendly throughout our stay there & we could not fault the food or service (especially from Justice). It is a floating hotel and was a former illegal immigrant detention centre in Amsterdam. The prison was towed 311 miles from Amsterdam to London & it was refurbished into the chic hotel it is today. It is very laid back so great for people looking for a hotel with no fuss & a genuine place to put your feet up in a relaxed atmosphere. It is 5mins walk from Royal Victoria DLR & right next to the Emirates airline cableway so easy enough to commute to wherever you need to be. I would highly recommend this hotel & will definitely go back.
S. B.
Really like the cool post industrial vibe to the place - great bar and restaurant with views across the old docks. All the staff are just great - so helpful and friendly. The location is far enough out for it not to be hugely crowded but near enough to be handy for Shoreditch, Greenwich or the West End. Very reasonably priced as well. I'd go back just for the quality of the staff.
C. T.
Had a great stay at this floating hotel! Though the room was a little small it was great and had all the necessary amnemities... plus more! A phone to take out with you and free 4G and calling credit incase you want to book tickets or get stuck or something while youre being touristy in the capital.. all quite a cool idea to me. Staff were great, very friendly and attentive. Borrowed one of the iPads available to browse and watch a late night movie at 1am :) with ease. Also the tapas we ate the next day were really very tasty, food was of a high standard. Overall very pleased and considering the room was booked last minute it was a veryyyy reasonable price. Look forward to returning. Thanks!
J. C.
The hotel is perfectly located next to Excel, and the Emirates cable run. The hotel itself is clean and tidy, and although the rooms are small, they are comfortable and we'll proportioned. I'd happily stay here again
H. S.
The pLace really does have an industrial, modern feel about it. I wasn't staying the night, just visiting the bar and we had a couple of nice drinks and some tapas. All of which was delicious. We did ask to see the evening/dinner menu and was told it was basically the same as the one we already had... tapas and burgers for dinner is all they offer which was a pretty measly selection to be honest. Staff were all lovely and friendly and the price was reasonable.
W.
Place is OK. Just be mindful of the fact that there is a plane flying over the hotel every 5 minutes until 10pm and there is no TV in rooms so you pretty much have to kill the noise with Netflix. Or you would if Internet wouldn't be so slow 🐌
S. F.
I stayed with my fiancè for one night and it was extremely lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful, the beds were really comfy and the room/facilities was spotless! Would definitely come back here again!
J. D. K.
I can't really think off anything that isn't great!
It is beautyfull, the rooms are oke, the restaurant is perfect! The food is perfect. The locations is good, there is a station 4min walk from the hotel. The staff is nice.
It is perfect for a few days London!
P. T.
This is an excellent hotel if you're looking for an overnight stay as is only a short distance to the O2 arena. It's £20 for a taxi or if you use the cable car £4.00 one way. To get back to the hotel catch the tube back via the jubilee line only takes about 10 mins. I would not stay more than 1 night as room's are quite small as it is more like a cabin on a ship but ideal for the purpose of attending concerts as everything you need is close by. Cafe just further up the road does an excellent full English breakfast for £6.00
D. F.
Very friendly staff who seem to really care about the place. Rooms are compact. Quite noisy in that you can hear every plane take off from City Airport around a mile away. Walls are very thin so we could hear the conversation next door clearly.
U. T.
First things first, lovely clean hotel and well mannered staff members known as the GOOD team. Not sure if Kanye west copyrighted GOOD Haha! Located in a lovely riverside location right next to the royal Victoria DLR station and the Royal Victoria emirate air line (cable car). If you're coming to stay in this hotel for the first time and from central London you should come here in style via the Emirates air line.
The rooms are clean, cosy and well equipped with toiletries. If minimalistic lifestyle and consciousness with regards to operating methods and the planet is your thing then stay here.
The standard double room for me is a bit too cosy. Bed against the room wall is always reminding me of my box room growing up. Breakfast is good but find a deal for it. £27 pound for two persons is a bit too much. It's breakfast not a night out in pizza express. Only other downside of my stay was that the aircon is set to cool mode and can not be changed. Therefore if you're cold there's not much you could do from within the room.
Overall a pleasant stay and well operated hotel.
A. C.
Lovely location and staff. Stayed here when I went to Comic Con. Rooms and bathrooms were a little small and the walls thin so was woken up at 6:30 by neighbours. Love that it's on the river!
R. D.
Lovely setting and views, good place near to DLR stations and Emirates cable car airline. Nice staff, only thing missing was TV in the room and a mini fridge!! Missed these. Bar and food is quite expensive but overall lovely stay
A. H.
Just had a couple of drinks. Its it's a nice place you can look out of the windows and watch the water sport swimming some of swimming or the cable cars.its a floating hotel very pleasant never stayed there very good view of the airia you also get a good view of the airplanes flying over.
A. F.
Excellent! Super friendly staff, amazing breakfast! Rooms are small, but cosy and very clean. And of course the location is exceptional!
Y.
Great hotel, easy access to the underground and DLR lines. Clean hotel which is a big thing for me. Staff were friendly. The only downside if the lack of parking parking, but its London so its understandable. Will be defo using it again when am down in London. Loved the little smartphone in the room which allowed me to use the room service and other local attractions.. 🤪😜😋
M. F.
Beautiful location on the water, 2 minutes walk from a DLR station. From there it's only half an hour to Picadilly. The rooms are cosy and very clean. The hotel has a living room with a very nice atmosphere. Bar with friendly staff and a tapas menu.
A. H.
1st time in London on a social trip with the better half. Was booked as a surprise hotel from last minute. Easily accessible hotel with decent transport links to and from the city and a stone throw from the Emirates cable car Staff were helpful upon arrival. 1st impressions of our room was that it was a bit quaint and very minimalist. The Wc facilties are very unique. Only issues were that there was no opening window in the room and the A/C did not work meaning quite a stuffy night.
K. N.
Very nice Palace. Not the biggest rooms, but who needs that when you are in London. It's easy to go to central London. The staff is amazing. Always smiling, very helpfull doing everything they can to give you the best possible stay. I can nothing else than recomment this place. And I will be back.
W. G.
It is pretty convenient if you are attending a conference at Excel. You also get a pleasant view over the water when you have breakfast in the morning. The rooms are uncomfortably small though.
k.
Loved the vibes of this hotel and what it all stands for great location for what I required.
Emailed front desk... problem in room... had reply saying someone would look at and fix... but the problem didn't get fixed during my stay so a little disappointing.
C. S.
Love it. Love the concept. Love the atmosphere. Stay here!
M. G.
The room wasn't that tiny as most reviews suggested. It was cosy and perfect, absolutely loved it. The toilet could have a small lock. Checked in early at 1pm and staff was amazing.
V. B.
This is a great hotel with a happy atmosphere due to the engaged and helpful staff. Rooms are clean and well thought out and great for the price point. Simple but everything you need.
P. S.
Now this place is just bizarre because I would describe it as somewhere between a superb youth hostel and good quality yet basic hotel.
For its price (and given that it is London) however, it is just fine.
There is no TV in the room, if you're into that kind of thing - but there is WiFi. And for anyone still playing Pokémon Go, there is a Pokéstop right out front.
Brilliant staff. Very helpful and friendly.
D. C.
I stayed here for 2 nights and overall it was a great experience. So affordable, friendly helpful staff, and clean. Very close to the airport but not super close to the city or to any real British pubs or landmarks.
S. S.
Nice hotel set on the Thames. Rooms are good. If you get a room with a view of the river, its best. Wish the restaurant staff are more attentive and warn of kitchen closing time.
D. B.
Great not for profit hotel, location is fab, the staff are brilliant and the breakfast was very good. The rooms are basic and small..but that wouldn't put me off staying again.
A. S.
Good location for the O2 and excellent food choices nearby. Would recommend TapaTapa. Slightly apprehensive about the room size but it wouldn't an issue for a few nights. WiFi was free and great. Room was modern and clean.
S. G.
Location is good, despite being 40 mins away from centre with a cable car and a wakepark nearby. Hotel is stylish with a great terrace on the roof. The only downside is the size of the standart rooms.
J. A.
This is a lovely hotel. Staff are amazing and so friendly. Breakfast is so varied and is good quality. Fabulous setting actually on the water. Love it!!!!!
F. B.
Very friendly staff. Nice clean room, litlle small butt nice for short stay. Easy to reach with public transport. Breakfast very good and complete. I had very nice stay here.
C. F.
Great hotel, really original floating, with the emirates airline at less than two minutes walk. The rooftop bar is really nice and cosy, and the staff is really friendly and helpful. I recommend!
K. G. S.
Nice hotel, but very tiny room and have to flush the toilet many times and use a glass of water to actually manage to flush properly. Get a 4 star as it was less pricy than other hotels close to MCM Comic Con.
M. R.
Excellent stay at this wonderful hotel, the staff were fantastic and even got us cold drinks when we checked in late, even although the bar was closed.Breakfast was great, will definitely stay again.
M. L.
It's certainly something different. Positives are the food was good and its location. Unfortunately as it's an old prison boat, you are sleeping in the old cells, so room is extremely tight and somewhat basic rooms.
S. G.
Perfect location to reach the ExCel via a relaxing walk on the wharf or chill on the roof top with beautiful view on the channel (same for rooms with channel view).
However, the service is good for the employees only. Most of the interactions were slow and chaotic. Looks like lack of training and management.
P. C.
Excellent location, fantastic view from the room, staff were friendly and very well priced. Rooms are compact and perfect for a short stay.
J. J.
Great hotel for a fair price. The room is small, but for a city trip it is enough. The breakfast is really great and i would recommend it!
M. D.
The floating Good Hotel just arrived from Amsterdam and is ready to receive guests in London, and make them happy! The living room and rooftop terrace are amazing, the social concept unique. Dont miss it
P. P.
Quirky! Only one plug socket in the room. Rooms very small but very clean. Lovely breakfast. Great for overnight. Close to tube. No TV
L. B.
Great location and relaxing lobby/bar. Lunch menu is brilliant, staff are lovely. Be warned rooms are on the small side but cosy.
M. T.
Brilliant accomodation. Right on the Thames in Victoria Dock. 3 mins to Emirates Airline cable car. Very small rooms but clean and modern. Food menu is not priced. Very expensive food. £13 for breakfast. Eat at one of the many local restraunts near excel centre nearby. Has a tesco and nisa near by. Young friendly staff
F. R.
Loved the outside, when I was walking towards it, loved the inside, it was designed clean, hipster-cafe-like. Didn't see the rooms or try the food there though, but if I need a hotel in the area, I'll definitely try Good Hotel out.
J. H.
Rooms are small. Someone told me it may be a converted floating prision, not too bad since the revamp, but a little clistrophobic all the same. Didn't try breakfast as £13, so went to the cafe outside the hotel which offers a full English for £5.95!
E. K.
What an amazing space to spend a weekend in! This is a floating g (sort of) hotel and there is a gally feel to the rooms, in other words they are small, but well laid out and clean. Staff were all very helpful. 2minutes from the DLR and right beside the Emerits Air Way (cable car) it's perfect for gettin into London or to the O2. Breakfast was very tasty! You will not be getting a selection that would but any environmentally conscious individual to shame but there is something for everyone.
Down sides? Bar closes at 11, but the hotel across the road is open till 2.
p. s.
Basic room at fab price but the food was omg amaazing. Steak so tender chips so fluffy tasty tasty tasty food at great affordable price. The churros dessert was to die for and the chef kindly changed the flavour of ice cream for me - something they don't normally do.
G. b.
Great Hotel with a good cause! Small rooms but clever design. Breakfast is delicious and has a great view. Good location and direct link to DLR!
P. B.
Really relaxing atmosphere, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are cosy and comfortable. And all is very clean and tidy. Would recommend for a long weekend.
R. F. T.
Amazing Spanish menu - enough said! But the pace is amazing too - very inviting Loving Room, which is excellent for working, and the decor is simple but elegant! The views over the water from the tables are the best.
J. P.
Quirky and good value. Lovely staff. Great roof top bar but couldn't smoke so couldn't enjoy :(
Nice ethic to trading model.
T. O.
As it's name suggests, this is a good hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast selection. Rooms are not big, but for a convenient location for Excel or O2 (via the Emirates cable car) it's very reasonably priced.
K. B.
Chic hotel that has its pluses and quirks. The included breakfast is one of the best I've had but the rooms are also the smallest I've stayed in. Overal, I enjoyed my stay. It's great to look out onto the water in the morning.
A. M.
Stumbled across the hotel while on a family day trip. Had a couple of drinks on the excellent roof terrace. Staff were extremely helpful and the environment was exceptional.
S. H.
Unique hotel. Decorated beautifully, friendly staff, and stunning views. Just a bit different to the bulk standard and definitely worth while
E. T.
Lovely bar situated at ground floor! You think you are inside Thames looking the stunning River view from the huge windows! Helpful and smiley staff
J. C.
Pluses
Fantastic situation with river view and right by the Emirates cable car which was great for us to get to an O2 concert
Beautifully crafted reception areas
Very welcoming staff
Super value in the context of being in London
Minuses
Quirky rooms ie No television; very narrow so no bedside tables or bedside lights only large central one, so not possible for one partner to sleep while the other reads
We realise that the initial value for London is great, but £21 for two glasses of wine and a packet of crisps is pushing it a bit
So overall, a very pleasant stay and we would certainly hope to stay again if we go to another O2 concert
G. B.
Great place to base yourself for a concert in the O2. Staff are good and the good is lovely. Cable cars right beside for the trip over the river to the O2. Rooms are small but great.

I stayed at this hotel back in December i was very surprised about this new hotel opening, all the staff where wonderful very polite and professional, they really made my day and i cannot wait to go back to the good hotel London. Yes, the rooms are small but they were prison cells which makes it very excited. I now the hotel does not have any coffee faculties just tea which i think its ok who want coffee sachet when you can get proper coffee from the bar...Also the 1st hotel I stayed with no tv even better makes me want to go down stairs and have a drink with the staff as they are just excellent.
I love this hotel thank you very much Good Hotel London made my day :)
Want to thank the following people:
MOE (Thank for checking me in and your smile made my day after a long flight)
CHRISITNE (Thank for your great advice for what to do in london and your are Always smiling :)
We enjoyed the breakfast and dinner at the hotel. nice food

A great place to stay and relax.....

Friendly hotel with excellent breakfast. Helpt staf, clean rooms. The rooms are a bit small, But I knew that up front. Close to public center, close London city airport.

We had a 2 night stay for my son's birthday...considering this was just our base camp, we could not find a single fault with the staff, layout or the location, breakfast was excellent, views(riverside rooms) were beautiful and I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in London...its only there for another 2 years and we will definitely go back.rooms are small but who spends all there time a room in London....brilliant concept and overall experience...loved it.

Hotel on the water with a tasty breakfast, Aircon rooms and exceedingly comfortable beds. Rooms are small but we'll organised. Good place to be based in the docklands area
K. W.
Well priced rooms with air conditioning. Perfect for a short stay. Convenient to get into canary wharf and not too far from central London via DLR and Tube.
J. M.
A comfortable cosy nights stay, room had everything we required.
We did pre book breakfast however felt what we had was disappointing.
Staff at the hotel friendly and welcoming.
A. R.
Good location but quite noisy inside the rooms. Cosy but the shower is just a flood zone. Bath mat is virtually pointless.
R. R.
Very good hotel, it’s very mini but it is very clean.
There is a restaurant around, a Tesco 1 min way from the hotel. And subway station 3 mins away.
It’s a lovely place. I want to book it again for this month. However it is full ☹️
F. F.
Great hotel with short ways to Excel London or DLR/Underground. Hotel was clean, staff very friendly.
I have booked a room with two beds, but got a kingsize bed room. Costs one star.
M. R.
5 stars for the service and because the receptionists were kind with me. I recommend it 😊👍
M. N.
The hotel has a modern minimalistic design. It's beautiful. The night view is stunning. It only lacks television sets inside the rooms.
M. W.
Nice Scandinavian vibe hotel. Rooms are a bit small but have everything you need (no TV if that bothers you). Price seems to fluctuate enormously though from reasonable to stupid.
J. R.
Perfect in every way, location, staff, food, nothing was to much trouble. Love the company ethos well done guys. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
A. D. S.
Great value for money. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Nice atmosphere in the lounge area. Would recommend the place to anyone.
R.
This was a wonderful hotel, chilled vibes. Really enjoyed my stay. Lovely roof top. Excellent staff.
Thank you Good Team. 😁

Cosy hotel and event location near excel fair.
C. C.
Far enough from the city to unwind and recharge, close enough to be within minutes of anywhere. Coffee shop vibe, relaxed, but not indulgent - just peaceful and real. Lovely views, well connected, just perfect.
K. H.
A wonderful place to stay , massive room , great to look out on the water and scenery and fab upstairs open aired bar but no smoking even though is outside !
G. V.
We only popped in for drinks. The staff were very friendly and a joy to talk too. I really enjoyed the decor. It's a really cool little place.

I stayed for three nights to attend a fair at Excel. Location is fab, also well connected to city center. The atmosphere is very friendly, the team really takes care.
D. Q.
I really can't fault this hotel! Staff food room cleanliness and general ethos of the place including the attention to detail and design was absolutely amazing! Thankyou and well done!

Really beautiful hotel and different. The rooms are a little bit small but, you don't need more. I loved all the furnitures.
H. D.
We had a room with view over the water. Love the atmosphere if this floating hotel. Staff is very very friendly.
J. A.
Nice and comfy. Super friendly staff and relaxed lounge area. No TV in rooms and strange shared shower and bathroom door.
D. R.
Simple an elegant place, JDA HIRE provided chair covers and sashes for this wonderful event. The venue was light and airy, with a warm and loving feel.
D. O.
Fairly compact room, however made alright use of space they have, overall good stay would recommend for a couple of nights stay in London directly opposite the O2.
E. T.
Beautiful hotel and beautiful ethos. Amazing location, close to Emirates cable cars and underground. Loved it and recommended to family and friends. Will definitely return.
G. A.
Super spot when in London especially the roof top bar. Rooms are cosy but as there is so much to do in London not much more needed. Great idea. Will be back
J. F.
Very good location for use with events near the O2. easy to use from the Emirates tram close to a Subway clean extremely small no place for luggage but it's where the cool kids stay
A. G.
The customer service has been bad. I have had to send so many repeated emails to get the invoices, which has led to stress and delays. Do not recommend for business travel just for this reason.
The location and rooms were nice and worth the cost.
B. C.
Would stay again. Rooms are small, no TV. Well maintained and walking distance from the excel so perfect if you are attending an event there.
A. M.
Great location near the Thames and public transit (DLR: Royal Victoria Station) I have visited London many times more than I can remember, and I am sick of the expensive rooms in Zone 1. This is the perfect spot with clean rooms and great view of the Thames, albeit the rooms are a bit small, but it’s London... There isn’t really anything to complain here.
O. T.
Business rates are completely overpriced. Private rates are okayish. Tiny room, no TV or closed wardrobe, lukewarm water.
P. R. M.
Staff very nice and helpful, Small room and tiny bathroom, clean, comfy bed, british and european plugs, near royal Victoria station, breakfast quite expensive, but you have some cafe very near in the sourroundings.
M. D.
A fantastic hotel. Very well trained staff who are always polite and attentive. Good facilities, good location, good everything. No criticisms whatsoever
S. L. F.
Great hotel - conveniently situated for the open water swimming place and cable car
N. M.
Hotel with a difference! Great story behind the start up of the hotel and how they have helped people along the way.
Great staff and a lovely interior.
G. C.
Interesting and beautiful. Trouble with air conditioning but not a huge deal. Great breakfast and nice rooms with a great cause.
P. H.
A fantastic place to stay, great staff and amazing views.
S. M.
Very nice hotel with a fantastic location! Easy access to the whole of london. Staff very helpful and friendly! The food was also fantastic and very very fairly priced! Will visit again when im in London
Z. M.
Very nice atmosphere. Rooms small but cosy and clean. Very comfortable bed. Good location, close to station.
K. M.
The hotel more nice like i think first time.. Amazing.. And the place around the hotel... Not Just beauty... Brilliant!!
L.
Excellent value hotel. Staff with "can do" attitudes & compact but spotlessly clean rooms when all you need them for is sleep.
N. R.
Nice atmosphere, near the city of London airport, it sadly suffers from the decision to use two single mattresses zipped together as a substitute for a double mattress. This is less than satisfactory by any measure.
S. A.
love this hotel, used to stay there when it was in Amsterdam, always stay when I visit London. the rooms are small but it has all one needs - and no tv, which I kind of like!
C. D.
Great price for a great location. The beds were also super comfy. Small rooms but they don’t feel that small.
G. H.
Location is perfect if you're going to the O2. Room was very nice as was the hotel although a little cold. Service was top notch
G. L.
Rooms are very small but are comfortable,no TV but the free WiFi was good enough for YouTube on laptop.
H. G.
Room was clean and looked after and I suppose did what you needed it to. However it is what it is, a budget hotel. Room was very small, no TV, you could probably only stay one night. However as we were going to an event on at the 02 we weren't in the room very long and for the price you can't argue with it.
M. E.
Pleasant staff and good service. The rooms are a decent size. Value for money.
C. S.
Love the concept feel of this hotel, staff are helpful etc but i kept being woken in the early hours of the morning by hearing others fondling lol good if you're the competitive kind of couple haha
J. L.
A great budget hotel, room is small but clean with large bed, tea n coffee, towels n soap. Close to O2, excel, London air port and DLR.
No T.Vs, nice big lounge, bar and restaurant.
C. D. (.
loved this hotel staff can't do enough for you with anything the rooms a little stuck for space, no wardrobes and the bathroom is tiny apart from that in a lovely location with great views of the docks and lots to do in the area
H. R.
Came for MCM. They've gotten better at crowd control, the last time I was here nobody knew if they were coming or going. This time, there was plenty of staff to guide people around and they were plenty prepared too. Well done!
M. W.
It has very modern and sleek design. The rooms are a little small and the close proximity to the airport it is loud.
s. k.
Rooms may be small but the staff is humble and friendly. Touched by their hospitality
Amazing views from terrace bar
A. A.
Amazing little hotel right on the river, literally. Very nice service at the desk, bar and restaurant. Very accommodating. Highly recommend.
A.
Solid hotel, small room but adequate for a few nights stay. Good transport and parking nearby
c. c.
As a outreach worker I took two clients there as crisis were using it as safe haven and a place of refuse for rough sleepers over xmas.
J. T.
Small but comfortable room with a good view over the water. Food in the restaurant was very nice and service was excellent.
I. H.
Very much enjoyed my stay on this unique hotel. The price was responsible and the service was excellent. But what made it was the view.
C. L.
Amazing hotel by the docks! Great staff, great breakfast buffet, great location and atmosphere. Right next to Emirates gondola lift station!
j. s.
Staff were above helpful. Rooms a bit small but comfortable with climate control. Was good experience A+++
C. T.
Could not ask for more from the staff they are always welcoming. The rooms are priced well and it is well located only minutes from the DLR and Cable Car stations.
E. E.
It certainly lives upto its name, it was very easy to find our way around but unfortunately we couldn't explore the roof due to bad weather(understandable), the staff are all very polite, smiley and helpful, the rooms are small but very cosy with an easy to control shower & the comfiest beds but sadly no tv (not sure if the same in all rooms) & the walls are quite thin so it was noisy guests that woke me up instead of my alarm my partner and I didn't want to leave though, we enjoyed our stay
M. W.
excellent, very comfortable rooms fantastic breakfast and best if all superb staff , brilliant hotel for London weekend stop over.
Y.
Great service, beds, view and price but their are NO Tv's in the rooms. The bar and free iPad rental makes up for it though.
S. E.
The location was good for the fair but away from City center, the rooms were really small but the ambiamce on lobby was great and the breakfast was really good.
