Great hotel in London. Part of a group of similar hotels around Bloomsbury. Offering highly competitive budget rates at traditional properties. Highly recommended for visitors who just need bed and breakfast and will be out of the hotel during the day. I have stayed many times. Great memories with my father 😁👍🏻❤️

Centrally located with pretty views over Russell Square. Lovely and caring receptionists and super helpful concierge. Room always clean and spotless attended by nice housekeepers

Great customer service and the breakfast food was amazing.
The EV charging station is available at the hotel parking.

Just a lovely hotel. Very handy for transport and central London. Also a lovely breakfast.

I only used the car park but for central London parking it was very reasonably priced.
4 stars based on this, and this alone.

We stayed for two nights this week and had the lovely surprise of a suite which was excellent. There was a roll top bath on a raised platform with a fabulous sea view and his and hers basins, great shower too! A traditionally styled hotel, very clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff and great service.

Great price for new year's eve! We took 2 rooms, seemeless check-in with very polite and well mannered staff. Hotel is not super modern this classic look could definitely benefit from a upgrade but for the price we was happy! Breakfast was not enjoyable for us the quality could be improved and added to the price, overall you get what you pay and we was very happy with the hotel it is a mile or so walk to Westminster and the Palace! Over the road from the hotel is a lovely park

Staff are friendly and helpful. However when we asked for disabled room near the lift we were told all the disabled rooms were not near the lifts. Ours was at the very end of a very long corridor. Not every disabled person is wheelchair users, so think they need to rethink this. Breakfast was ok, egg wasn't good but everything else was edible.

breakfast is tasty. Service is good.. They charged me 1p to hold my suitcase and handbag for a few of hours until my flight. My room overlooked the backyard so I can't say much of the view of the front rooms. Fantastic neighbourhood!!! The 6 elevators take immediately to yr room there is no waiting.

The food was amazing, Mr Kali, the head chef is an amazing person, he’s a magician in the kitchen.

Great hotel for the price you pay. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is great. The complimentary first night dinner ( we chose to go the popadom palace) was a nice touch. The Imperial is in a nice area with lots of good pubs and restaurants and it is centrally located...we will be back.

We stayed at the hotel for 5 days and I can easily say that it was a good experience. The negative points are that you can hear the outside too much and that the TV has very few channels. Now there is a great counterbalance : it's an old styled hotel that I personally liked even if it may not be to the taste of everybody. The personnel at the reception is really helpful and here for you. The housekeeper is really effective too (Even too much to be honest) and really kind. The breakfast is cool, it is the same every day but you can eat a lot and it's good (in my opinion). There is a bar who can answer to your desires. I don't regret it even if my sleep was a little chaotic due to the single bed.

Stayed for one night last night and I was pleasantly surprised. I had a nice , clean, small single room facing a quiet area not the main road. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely recommend it if you need somewhere to stay for central London area. I had a wedding 20 minutes walk from the hotel and this was just a perfect location.

Adore this hotel, my only choice for when I come up to London: beds are comfortable, staff is lovely, all spaces and rooms are clean (ok, a bit spartan, but who cares, also: rooms have beautiful views over Russell Square & Bloomsbury), breakfast & food is ok and super easy to walk to main museums, shops and good food places. Just called to ask when they'll be re-opening after lockdown ... bad news is that it's going to reopen next spring (wanted to go this September), good news is that they are refurbishing. Hope they keep the great staff & housekeeping & restaurants & affordability. See you soon!

No complaints about food, we feel that a room without double glazing is not only noisy but very cold windows which means a lot of heat escaping, plus toilet no hand basin(not able to wash hands after useing toilet) hand basin in shower room otherside of corridor. Did have very useful car park which was handy.

Christmas package 2018, what a wonderful experience my friend and I had from the moment of arrival at reception on Christmas Eve until departure on December 27th. Our rooms were clean, warm and comfortable. The food was excellent and plentiful, catering for all tastes and appetites. All the staff were exceedingly helpful, polite, knowledgeable and very smart. My friend Millie Harvey and myself will definitely visit again and recommend to others. Wishing everybody a very happy 2019.

Conveniently situated in Russell Square about 5 min from the Tube Station, and about 20 min walk into the West End. The rooms are reasonably set out, although the corridors are due for re-decoration. Breakfast is buffet style with hot and cold choices, and is of a good standard. The Attrium Lounge offers drinks at reasonable prices in an Art Deco setting. Check out their website for Sunday night reductions if included in the stay. Staff very helpful.

As hotels go I expected and got budget. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was basic but clean. Breakfast was plentiful. The underground parking (not part of hotel business but part of the hotel), it's price and location make this a great base for visiting central London.
J. J.
We have just returned from a three night stay and highly recommend this hotel. It is very central, walking distance to Trafalgar Square, the Thames river cruises, British Museum and many other attractions. The hotel staff were excellent from receptionists, waiters to cleaning staff, all friendly and courteous. Breakfasts and carvery evening meal were delicious. Rooms very clean with pure white sheets and towels. Well done to all.
A. J.
Decent room and bathroom close enough to all the sights and goings on. Next to a lovely park with lots of food places and the odeon nearby. No noises from neighbours and comfy enough beds. Pretty happy with our weekend away here!
R. G.
Stayed for 2 nights in a single room.
ROOM
Room was clean. Some linen, appliances etc. probably nearing the end of it's life but still acceptable. As for size, small but definitely what I expected and satiafactory for what I paid.
Room felt secure and staff were helpful.
Only negative was the shower. Although the pressure was fine, you need the touch of an experienced neurosurgeon to get the temperature correct.
BREAKFAST
Sound, traditional breakfast. Would pay for it and not complain.
LOCATION
Awesome location. 5 minute walk to Russell Square tube station (Picadilly Line). Fair few pubs and places to eat within walking distance (15 minutes).
Added the view from my room, which I thought was pretty solid.

Only visiting for lunch so not a full hotel review. Rather well done 1960s style bar with James Bond vibe. Bar prices low for central London. Very good lunch for event of 60 people. Hotel well recommended for such events.
j. b.
Very clean but as there is no double glazing the traffic is very loud all night. The beds are quite soft, you tend to sink a little in the middle. Still enjoyed the stay there and easy access to the tube. Plenty places to eat around.
S. S.
Great hotel. Rooms were small by American standards but had everything we needed and was very clean. Front desk staff was very helpful. Breakfast was traditional English foods. Would stay there again.
T. A.
Didn't stay here just went in for coffee and used the underground car park , which we have done on several occasions.
The car park is very reasonably priced , the attendant is a very friendly man , always has a smile and a welcome.
The staff in the hotel are polite and efficient.
J. C.
Handy location, with numerous places to eat and drink nearby, as well as various shops. Rooms were clean and cozy. Staff were very helpful with introductions and booking taxis. Overall, definitely good value for your money!
T. A.
My wife and I stayed in an executive room in May 2017. The room was extremely large by modern hotel standards and even had two sinks in the en suite. The staff were very friendly and efficient especially in reception. The room was clean and well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. There does not appear to be any air conditioning in the accommodation rooms but in this country that certainly was not a problem. There was a continuous mechanical noise from somewhere on the hotel site that may inconvenience light sleepers and the breakfast was well cooked although the bacon had stuck together on the three days we were there and if you wanted one slice you could end up with three or four! The Day/Night bar has an outside area looking towards Russell Square and a very busy road that leads to Euston railway station. We had a good stay at the hotel and think it is value for money.
S. B.
The stuff was very friendly and helpful. The room is ok. The location is excellent. There was no air conditioning in the room which was very annoying since it was extremely hot when we were there. And the curtains are too thin so it was not dark enough and we got up too early.
X. H.
Decent hotel. The receptionists are friendly and hard working, the room is clean and simple. The beds are not comfortable, although that may be personal due to my own bed at home.
Location is fine. Near the Underground Russel Square (Piccadilly line) and a few minutes walk to the Biritsh Museum.
F. Z.
Highly recommended central London hotel at very reasonable prices. Good size no nonsense rooms. Good breakfast. Clean. Friendly and efficient reception.
However, on the rare occasion when it gets really hot in London, rooms are unbearable to stay in due to lack of aircon.
R. S.
Clean and nice hotel. Very friendly staff. But the lack of any ventilation on the room makes it nessecary to sleep with open windows. As the hotel is situated close to to hospital you can expect to wake up from sirens all night.
J. B.
Room okay. Breakfast was chaotic. Was very busy and they were trying g their best . Cooked food got out quickly but other items such as bread etc. Was not kept stocked up. Good got cold very quickly though .
A. C. P.
One of the best hotels that I've ever stayed. Very attentive staff, great breakfast. Exceptional location, close to the metro, british museum, several delicious restaurants and pubs and a square directly opposite. Recommend a lott!
J. T. C.
Nice hotel with a great location and decent price point. The hotel is old and worn, but not dirty which is nice, but you get what you pay for, so do expect bad bed and holes ind the bed linen - but because of its location we will gladly revisit - but had the price been much higher it would have been 1-2 stars.
Something to notice is also they charge to keep you luggage after checking out, first time I have tried this, and you can only pay cash. Considering few people have cash, this forces you make a 20 pound withdrawal in order to have you suitcases keept - in our case for 1 hour, that is just crazy expensive and very bad service.
M. R.
Average services, pretty average breakfast but pretty high prices. Good location (quiet near to St Pancras station).
No air conditioner (at least it was not in room I stayed), pretty small rooms.
M. L.
Pretty central location, close to Kings Cross. Room wasn't anything special, but I wasn't expecting the Hilton when I booked. Comfy, but a little noisy outside. Breakfast next morning was great. Overall would stay again for a business trip.
J. T.
This hotel wasn't great - but I don't, for a second, regret staying here. Staying at this hotel saved me $500-$1000 over the course of 5 days. This made it easy to put up with the garish decoration, finicky toilet, lack of common amenities (such as a safe) and lackluster (but acceptable) service. I highly recommend this place to save some money - just be sure you know what you're in for. We went during the winter so there was no need for AC. During the summer the lack of AC would have been a dealbreaker though. On the plus side, the breakfast was pretty good! Just make sure you book through the hotel directly (not expedia or trip advisor) or you won't get it.
J. M.
Mixed opinions on this place. It is "budget" for London.
Rooms are very tired, but some have excellent views (see pictures). Clean enough, but don't look behind or under anything! Good Wi-Fi, reasonable size.
Lobby and breakfast room have been renovated. All staff are brusque and uninterested.
Breakfast is included, but very low quality English breakfast, with very few options.
J. D.
You have a problem. Despite instructions which were wrong from one of your partner hotels nearby and which directed me wrongly I did eventually manage to find you at a corner of Russell Square. Many whom I asked didn't know where you were even though they worked in Russell Square. I walked round it twice! There was no illuminated sign anywhere only a board on the side road entrance to the Casino. In the dark therefore you are invisible.
Your staff without exception agreed with me that this was daft.
I wasted one hour looking for you and was late for my evening meeting after I had finally managed to check in!
It can hardly be considered as a good business plan not to be visible from everywhere in Russell Square and elsewhere ...?!
So you need to instruct your staff to a) give clearer instructions, b) include remarks that it's next door to the Russell hotel. and c) provide some visible means of identifying your hotel in the dark.
Pity really because your hotels are not so bad!
L. L.
The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the area and how to get around easiest. WiFi works well and the price is very reasonable given the central location. My only complaint would be the mattresses feel like box springs and are not very comfortable or supportive.
G.
Cheap central London parking just around the corner to the British Museum. Has an attendant, not a machine, and 4 Podpoint electric charging points.
P. R.
Good tourist/business hotel. Clean and smart in some areas, a bit battered and jaded in others. I stay regularly. Like the atrium bar. Breakfast is good. Reasonable deals too e.g. I got 3 course evening meal free for a 2 night midweek stay. Helpful potter. Get extra milk tea bags etc from porter. Fab position 15mins walk to many attractions e.g. theatres. Near British Museum and tubes. Great position on Russell Square.
R. L.
Good price, staff that will go that extra mile for you. Great breakfast. Parking spaces.
In the Atrium you can socialize and have drinks with friends without going outside at night.
M. G. Z.
No air conditioning, but good service, really nice area and good location for me. Could hear the traffic at night from 5th floor, but good price and I would stay there again. Was still a peaceful location overall and a safe, lovely area, away from the madness to return to after my day's meanderings.
A. L.
Reception was attentive and the process was simple. The room and linen were clean, and the beds comfortable.
The hotel offers to hold your bag for free if you arrive before check-in time and 50p per bag if you want to store your bags after check-out time.
The hotel also offers free WiFi. The speeds are decent but it can get unstable.
S. E.
Definitely in need of a refurbishment! Our room was very outdated (yes, it's nice to have a trouser press but this one looked like it was from the 80s!) A slight design flaw with the radiators - under the windows so when the full-length curtains were closed our room got very chilly! Suspicious stains lined the corridor floors, and the breakfast reminded me of plastic... however, this didn't spoil our trip to London, and considering the location and price, it's good value. 5 minutes away from the British Museum, and a short walk to Oxford Street and Soho. Great if you're looking for a budget weekend in London, but if you want a luxury getawy, try somewhere else

Not much
Rooms are very very old, made me feel like it was 1960s Moscow. …

I had a 1 night stay at the Imperial as a single traveller and was impressed by the accommodation. It is 5 mins from Russell Sq tube station. Staff at Reception and the bar were pleasant. Room was clean, warm and bed comfortable with plenty of towels supplied in the bathroom - I was in a single room on the second floor. Good water power in the shower. Took me a while to realise the switch beside the bed turns the TV on. Quite a build up of dust on the back of the TV it had not been cleaned in months. The only negative was the lukewarm breakfast. It was edible and I enjoyed it but the food could have been warmer. Breakfast started at 07.00 and I was on my way out for a vape and noticed how busy it was so decided to go then. The staff were diligent in bringing tea/coffee and cleaning the tables. I had a few hours to kill after checkout before my flight home so decided to visit the British Museum which is 5 mins from the hotel. The porters allowed me to leave my bags at the hotel for 50p charge. Would definitely return to the hotel again.

This hotel was passable for a one night stay but shop around before settling. Location is great. 2 mins from the British Museum with direct transport including tube and busses to everywhere in London. Whilst the ground floor is is very smart the grandeur soon diminishes as you go upstairs and in the rooms. The hotel is clean but very worn. Decor was worn and missing in places. Rooms are basic, dated (right down to the old fashion card locks) and have a 90's Travel Lodge feeling to them. There is definitely a feel of chain hotel that has failed to invest over the years. Overall cheap price for the are but if you can afford the extra £5-10 there are much better hotels available.
A. G.
Rooms adequate for purpose. Staff friendly and helpful. Lovely bar area serving good selection of beers and cocktails. Great location just 15 mins walk from Euston Station and a couple of minutes from Russel Square underground.
P. P.
There for a meeting, the meeting rooms are converted knocked through bedrooms, which is a bit odd, but it works. A bit dated, but everything you need is there, lovely views over Russell Square and the food they put on is good. Good location for the train network.
m. f.
Very good hotel, situated close to many food etc establishments. Close to tube and a ten minute walk from Euston terminal. Would recommend if staying in London. First impression was great.
J.
Great accommodation.
It is exactly as specified.
It's in an excellent location very convenient to the tube and buses.
I love the retro feel. But this doesn't detract from the homely feel of the hotel.
T. A.
At those prices, who cares if it's a little noisy, and the corridors smell a bit of old cigarettes?
The breakfast was fine, the Wi-Fi was better than last time, the elevators slow, and the water hot, with good pressure from the showers at least.
It is very close to the tube station, which is a big plus.
The staff is efficient, but not very nice. Huge selection at breakfast, which is always good. Ok bacon, great toast.
Hopefully Brexit won't ruin everything, because I might be coming back every two years for the next couple of decades.
L. M. L.
We have been before and stayed here again because of its easy access to the tourist attractions of the centre of London. There's a bus stop directly outside the entrance and Russell Square underground station is less than 10 minutes walk away.
Facilities are similar to most midrange hotels and everywhere is kept very clean and tidy. Buffet breakfast has a good selection. The Atrium Bar has very good service. Highly recommended.
We took the offer of a three night stay including a Sunday which also included a two day London Pass. Together with an Oyster card which we purchased we had the freedom to see all the main sights we wanted to and easy travelling between each. Highly recommended.
T. N.
Relatively low cost with perfect location!
Authentic British breakfast. Service was great - the staff is very pleasant and helps with everything you need.
N. S.
Prime location at a reasonable price, with a few setbacks (e.g. relatively small rooms, no safe in the rooms, tiny TV, etc.) Perfectly fine if you’re just looking for a place to crash in at the end of the day. Very close to the tube and bus station.
J. M.
Excellent location near to tube station and within walking distance of Leicester Square. The breakfast is very filling and tasty. Staff are friendly. There is a free 3 course meal if you stay 2 or more nights
R. P.
The hotel is very dated. Rooms are small, but pretty clean. Breakfast is good and the staff is very polite. The biggest pro is location - a 3-minute walk to the subway and lots of buses around.
T. M.
The location of the hotel was perfect for me. The hotel breakfast was also of good quality and very substantial. The staff at the hotel was very helpful and nice.I will definitely consider staying at the Imperial again on my next trip to London. ,"Good value for money","Convenient transport options","Excellent location"
I. R.
It's a great bang for the buck hotel for London standards. There's really not much else to say. The beds are good, the rooms are decent and the staff is great. Dont know what else you'd want.
J. H.
I got a single room for the night with free wifi. The room is small, but pretty standard for Europe. I got room 210 at the very end of the hallway. Room is a bit noisy since its facing a major road with sirens and constructions going on during the daytime.
This place gets the job done. It provides two towels, blow dryer, outlets with one adapter, and a heater...no AC seen in here (I don't imagine it getting too hot). As for toiletry, two bar soap and two shower gel. No lotions provided here, so bring your own!
The shower comes in a deep tub, which is a plus...a nice dip of hot water is much needed after long hours of traveling and walking!
Btw, their room key comes with a 12'' metal rod. Not attractive and hard to carry in a smaller purse, but it comes in handy if you want to turn it into a weapon :)
Warning. The shower is hard to keep neat meaning the water will overflow to the back counter and onto the floor. The design of the shower is plain dumb, why?The rear of the shower is a counter where if any water gets pass you and it will, the water flows like the river all over the counter and onto the floor. Don't leave any clothes on the counter!
J. S.
They have 2 bars and several function rooms where we ate a meal. The food is always good here and the staff are friendly and polite. Considering its London, the prices here are exceptionally good. I visit here around 4 times a year and it is very consistent. They never fail to deliver.
G. P.
The Imperial Hotel is not a 4 or 5 star by any means. Very outdated but has a little more amenities than other hotels I’ve stayed in London - breakfast, toiletries, hair dryer, large hotel, etc. What’s great tho is its central location in London! Easy access to buses and the Russell Square tube off the Piccadilly line. Lots of options to eat and drink nearby as well. Definitely recommend staying here if you want to be central to all the sites and public transportation. Wifi available but spotty.
C. M.
Rooms are quite basic. Heating not great. Old aluminum framed windows with poor sound proofing qualities result in hearing clearly, people coming out/entering the casino in the grounds of the hotel. We went to bed at 2.00am and were dragged out of sleep several times thereafter by people shouting from outside in the grounds of the hotel. The place needs refurbishment or close the Casino. Will not be staying there again.
J. T.
Pleasantly surprised with the quality for what you pay for at this hotel. Good location and clean rooms. Breakfast is basic. Very good value hotel.
T. T.
Decent price for central London. Nice breakfast. Small rooms, not great condition but no major complaints. Street noise can be heard in rooms and is quite loud.
r. j.
Nice hotel and location, helpful staff
M. C.
Great hotel, the workers their are kind and nice. The location of the hotel is fantastic!
M. W.
Wow, a throw back to the 1980's, clean and tidy, with a great shower and comfy bed. Breakfast sadly was rubbish with lack lustre staff who were more interested in chatting. The food was poor....such a shame.
S. E.
Great staff very friendly, and attentive. very clean good breakfast and dinner, and very reasonable prices in bars and cafe given the very central London location excellent value for money would certainly stay again
T. W.
Everything good but the prices is higher than performance..
D. L.
Very nice staff, breakfast average not much choice, WE booked for a three bed room but my fifteen year old granddaughter had to sleep on fold up bed which was not very comfortable, location is very central, very good.
K. K.
Even though it's not a gorgeous nor luxurious, the price beats them all. Moreover, it's just 3min to the Russell Square station by walk and within 20min to any place in central London.
One thing to be improved is the employee's attitude. Please be kind a little bit more to the customers.
b.
When i arrived i was upgraded to the city sleeper rooms
So very clean
Bright and roomy
Nice touches like an iron board and iron very good cupboard space

Good breakfast with very welcoming and help staff
M. K. O. A.
Standard rooms are not as sizeable as the ones I have used in other hotels, but the services are impeccable. Staff are polite and facilities are of high quality.
K. M.
Decent and clean rooms. Twin room 736 on seventh floor was just too basic though. Very little storage space. Only 2 open shelves and a cupboard with 4 hangers.
A. A. B. W.
Went for a function dinner. Banqueting menu was basic but well cooked. Service was efficient and the manager was clearly in control of all aspects.
N. N. (. F. M. H.
Beautiful place yes 150+ years old building with great level of service, you got the best bar in ground floor night and day, casino right on the parking.. Loved it.. Surely will visit again.. IMPORTANTLY: COST EFFECTIVE IN THE CENTRAL LONDON
s. n.
Rooms are fine, single beds mostly but the location makes up for it. Breakfast is served by very friendly staff and the downstairs bar is a great spot to relax
S. P.
Regal hotel, old charm, high ceilings, big chandeliers, wood lined corridor. Very good mughalai food. Good for banquets. Very centrally located near connought place.
O.
The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is great. The complimentary first night dinner was a nice touch.
L. G.
All right for the price but could be so much better. There are smaller, cheaper, better places nearby but this will do for a last minute booking.
Don't hold an event here though. We found the event staff v helpful when you could find them but having held several events in London the experience was decidedly odd....
W. N.
Nice, affordable hotel. Stayed for two nights. No complaints. Very good location in central London. Quick to walk or tube to most of the famous landmarks/locations.
L. A.
Great location. This hotel has great potential but is s little tired. I do not believe it is air conditioned, so summer might not be a good idea.
A. H.
Conviently situated, recently refurbished, reasonably priced. Clean and comfortable ensuite rooms. Good buffet style breakfast included in the price of the room.
M. C.
Being in Russell Square, this hotel offers reasonable value for money in this area. There are places to eat and drink inside. A dining room can be reserved and there are plenty of bars to choose from.
T.
Great hotel. Great location. Really good breakfast. Comfortable rooms and bathtub. Had a good stay there.
R. T.
Would have been a 5 but power cut in morning made breakfast a bit of a farce ant then we couldnt get back in our room
Otherwise comfortable a d clean and
staff very obliging
L. D.
A Good hotel in a great location, clean, warm, & friendly. The downside is that the Atrium bar situated between the two hotel's closes at 11pm. Why.
A. H.
Clean room of ok standard, great location and good WiFi. Ok value for money, it was a good price for the location.
S. M.
OK hotel in the centre of London; its location is perhaps its biggest draw. Service is not best, the room was cold. Breakfast was alright but nothing to write home about; the waiter nearly splashed coffee on my shirt when pouring coffee.
J. W.
It was a pretty standard hotel; nothing fancy, a bit dated, but ok , overall. Close to tube station and British Museum.
D. F.
Friendly staff, clean hotel. Great location and value for money!
C. N.
Very good location close to places of interest and transportation, good service and breakfast
T. M.
Staff were friendly and helpful ,Bar was great and served good food! Location was great and easy to get to from Euston Station .Will definitely use again .
t.
Good food and nice bar. Happily return again and again!!!
A. B.
Stopped at both Imperial and President. Just like the President, I would say average. Nothing brilliant about it, nothing bad. Location is good, walking distance from central London, but on the door step to Russell Sq. Station. Would I stop again, yes.
C. J.
Comfortable but bit dated. Needs freshening up. Staff very friendly
S. P.
Regal hotel, old charm, high ceilings, big chandeliers, wood lined corridor. Very good mughalai food. Good for banquets. Very centrally located near connought place.
S.
Very nice hotel, very helpful staff, very good value!
M. L.
Used the car park to park for a day out in London. Fairly easy to get to without having to drive through too much of central London. Good vale, £12 for 6 hrs, £14 for 10 hrs even with the petrol cheaper than the train for me!
H. S.
Lovely layout and fair prices. Frank and staff in the function rooms are exceptionally good.
W. D.
Nice hotel situated 3 min walk from Russell square tube station! Our room overlooked Russel square and was also comfortable! Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family!!
m. b.
In London for the hospital from the Kent coast me and my husband stayed here the staff couldn't be more welcoming and the rooms are clean and have everything you need and very comfortable, we were overlooking the park which was lovely, the price was very reasonable with breakfast included the breakfast was very good a good variety the staff at breakfast were lovely, the parking under the hotel is very good overall a very good stay and as where we are from there are alot of b&b's this was just as good as any of them a great place to stay if you are seeing London.
A. M. (.
This weekend I stayed at this hotel, I was a bit cautious because of the reviews I had read, as well as how cheap it was....It turns out i didn't have to be at all worried, the hotel was lovely and clean, I never felt controlled in the hotel, the staff were nothing but nice and polite offering to help me with the smallest of tasks to make my life easier, the food was nice - being a vegetarian I find I'm often not catered very well however there was plenty of options for me to choose from - I will definitely being returning to this hotel, I can't thank The President Hotel enough for my fantastic welcome & stay.
S. R.
The room was a really decent size and was nice and clean but was fairly dated decor. The room was really, really warm as the radiators were on full blast all the time with out any obvious way to switch them off... and I am the sort of person who would normally want the heating on but even I was too hot!
The duvet was on the wrong way round so was all tucked under the end of the mattress at the foot of the bed but didn't cover the sides of the bed. It became obvious why when I turned it the right way... it was because the hole in the duvet cover to put the duvet in was down the side of the cover rather then at the bottom of it!
There were queues to get a table a breakfast and the breakfast itself wasn't great. The orange juice tasted extremely watery and I waited about 30 mins before I got coffee and, even then, that was only because a member of staff came over trying to clear my table before I was finished (despite my stuff being on the table). He pretty much grunted at me when I told him I wasn't finished so I grunted back "coffee" and give him his due, my cup was filled by the time I sat down with my toast! Reception staff were polite and efficient.

Classical middle class, family hotel. Perfect location and very good quality/price ratio. Very good breakfast included in the price.
B. V.
Nice hotel at a reasonably acceptable price... 🙂 Very good service 😀 Rooms are OK for a short stay :)

Good location. Rooms are fine, nothing fancy. Ok for the price. DO NOT use the porter service. Very sketchy!
M. W.
Had a great time. Service was attentive and efficient. I was there for a formal dinner with more than 100 others, not heard a single grumble
S. S.
Here for a function (not staying over) and found service wonderful and attentive, and ample portions of food. Main course was great and wide choice of desserts.
D. R.
Adequate hotel. Food and drink is good. Quite a lot of external noise though. Perhaps not a good option for light sleepers.
R. H.
Amazing value in London. Great breakfast included. Practically next to the British Museum and the Russell Square tube entrance. Highly recommend.

T. M.
Great value hotel in central London; decor could do with a little refresh but rooms are clean and staff are attentive and helpful.
L. R.
Nice place in a nice part of London overlooking Russell Square. The beef sandwiches tasted like they were home made. Highly recommended
C. M. B.
Awesome hotel to stay in, lots of bus routes next to the hotel to get to a lot of places in London. Staff are very helpful and the whole place is nice. Would definitely go again!!

P. T.
Nice atmosphere. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and very spacious

Quality and service are very good considering the reasonable price we payed. The continental breakfast included is not bad. IT´s bread, butter and jam. Excellent location too. It´s just 5 min away from the British Museum and 10 min on foot from Oxford Steet. You can get there by bus from Victoria Station.
T. M.
Staff were friendly and helpful ,Bar was great and served good food! Location was great and easy to get to from Euston Station .Will definitely use again .
M. L.
Good location, close to the underground and London Center, walking-distance to Bond/Oxford-street.
Breakfast: Continental was not that good, but English breakfast superb.
Rooms: Ok but no fridge. Bathrooms in need of restauration.
Staff: Helpfull at all times.
Price/value: Good, cheap hotel.
C. M.

ideal for the price good breakfast .Evening meal isn't great ,but the lady on the till is rather amusing. Worth the money in the capital ,would and have stayed again.
M. P.
In many ways a classic, nice english hotel in a perfect location. However the internet connection is way too slow, almost unusable. Apart from this major issue I have no complaints.
N. L.
Ok hotel for the basic stay. A bit retrofeeling of the place.
M. T.
I would not stay anywhere else in London. Stayed here at least 6 times. Lovely clean rooms, very helpful staff x

It is not a luxury place but it is clean, have a good breakfast and location is perfect.
S. H.
Friendly, helpful and professional staff. Nice comfortable shared areas. Rooms a little dated
K. X.
It was fantastic especially the breakfast and the hospitality. The only thing that I didn't like is the beds which they move around when you stay on them because they have the wheels under them.
S. F.
good recently refurbished rooms. A bit on the small side though and not enough wardrobe space, but good breakfast and fantastic location.
A. S.
Stayed here a few times..good value for Central London..rooms are clean and tidy and the breakfast was good.

When we arrived from australia, no booking😬after waiting for 30 mins, a room was found for us, room was very small, but clean, certain was not what was booked for in advance but it was a room, staff were very helpful in the end, as i said at least we had a room, as i was thinking we were having to sleep in the park opposite hotel, great location, walking distance to many attractions,in the end we did enjoy our time here, dining room staff excellent.

A good place with Tokyo feeling rooms size. All bangladeshi staff....A lot of staff though.... Well that's the best central London can give in £120?
S. G.
Forth time here - its tired. Breakfast not the best and stale croissants on Friday morning was not appreciated.
It's central and ticks the boxes but will go elsewhere next time.
Z. L.
I stayed recently at Imperial London and give special thanks to Helio, Linda and Marton, these 3 people made my stay much easier as my friend was an inpatient in a London hospital, it was a very traumatic time for me. I am not an English speaker which made it even more difficult for me. But Helio, Linda and Marton went to great lengths to help during this very difficult time. I would like you to recognize the 3 people and pass on my sincerest thanks for all there assistance.

The Beatles spent the summer of 1963 in the President hotel, using rooms 114 - 117. Many of their Liverpool friends and musicians came down to visit and stay with them. Photos of the band outside the hotel and in Russell Square exist on the internet. If you're a Beatles' fan ask for one of those rooms to stay in.
