This hotel has to be one of the best value-for-money places to stay in London! Decor is monochrome and looks very classy. The staff were friendly and accomodating of our large group. They have a great variety of rooms, including singles, studios, kitchens and group rooms, so whatever your needs are, they have the right room! Hotel is located next to the Overground station so central London is just 25mins away. Only slight issue was the toilet doors which don't lock, but that didn't stop us having a great time at Kip - keep up the great work guys! 😊

One of the best hotels i have stayed at for thos price which is great considering the location. The decor and feel is very modern and on trend. The service was good and the rooms were very clean. My only issue was that the AC in my room was not working but we were given a dyson fan which helped a lot.

Lovely greeting at reception. Room is good, clean and to a decent standard. Plus has air-conditioning, heater fan thing, so the room can be the perfect temp for you. I would bring slippers as the floor isnt carpeted so it is really hard on bare feet, and it makes your trainer squeks,that gets on your nevres very quickly.

I don't understand. How is this place operating in one of the most expensive cities on earth... with such brilliantly affordable prices? Immense. The rooms are beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean and fully-equipped with everything you'll ever need for a memorable stay. For a 'small double room,' I paid £88 for 3 nights. £88!! [PLEASE NOTE: I think the description 'small double room' in their listing is inappropriate. The room was more spacious than I would've ever anticipated. Considerably more spacious, to be honest] In my room, I got: - Double bed (9/10) - En suite bathroom/shower (10/10) - Free fast WI-FI (10/10) - Large TV (Although I must admit, I didn't watch it, I prefer podcasts!) - Modern/adjustable air conditioning (10/10) - Desk, chair, LARGE window, GIANT mirror (9/10) - Daily cleaner (10/10) - Unreal convenience (One-minute walk from train station) - Endless shops (3 minutes walk to large supermarket [TESCO], takeaways [KFC], coffee [COSTA], retail [TK Maxx], blah, blah, blah I've stayed in many hotels over the years, and none of them felt as comfortable, convenient and INDIVIDUAL as this one. Visually, the attention to detail is standout. I particularly love the fashionable KIP branded sweatshirts that are available to buy. Nice touch. The interior design is exceptional, and exactly how I like my own home - minimalist, cool, fresh. The staff are genuinely welcoming, friendly and nice to talk to. I particularly appreciated the surprise free hot drink I was given on arrival. Thank you to the young woman on reception called Ieva. Super friendly! * * * IMPORTANT: Many people have mentioned the "noise" from the neighbouring train station. Truthfully, I didn't notice passing trains once. BUT, I've always been able to sleep in most environments, so I can't necessarily speak for anyone else here * * * I'm a massive fan of KIP. I had a nice experience here. I booked a large double room for myself for 2 nights, it was spacious and sparking clean. The staff were very nice and accommodating, and I got a free coffee for following their instagram account. The only disadvantage though, is that the hotel is near Hackney station which means I can hear the train from my room, which is quite alright for me as I sleep like a log. There was not much to see by the window as well so I kept the curtains closed. All in all, it was a great value for money.

You get what you pay for in room sizes and services in the room. But, Kip exceeds in top-notch customer service! There's also the added bonus of unlimited espresso drinks! Kip is a great place with a gorg design and a Smart Tv facility. I’ve stayed several times and had a good time however my only issue so far has been a specific staff at the reception, she’s quite dismissive and doesn’t seem to care about customer service. I say this because it’s happened more than once now; when my boyfriend asked her for some coffee, she gave attitude and made the wrong coffee. My boyfriend also asked for the bottle of Prosecco which was left at the reception for us, and she argued and insisted that this cannot be the case when another staff member kindly asked us to come and collect it. Overall we can’t complain about our experience, all the staff and the rooms are great however this one person doesn’t provide us with a nearly good customer service.

Extremely clean and tidy place, I’ve stayed there 3 times now! The room is small and share a bathroom 2 with two other rooms. However, bathrooms are extremely clean and staff check them regularly. The staff are so lovely and happy to keep bags for 24 hours after checkout for free!! And you get free coffee!

Good room next to shops and train station good for couple of night stay

I got a single room which was very small but had everything I needed - it is intended as just a place to "kip". The place is impeccably clean with stylish presentation. My bed also had one of the comfiest mattresses I've ever slept in! Perfect place if you're staying in London and just want a cosy bed for the end of the night.

Solo Female Traveler First time in London Location: I picked this hotel because of its location and it fit into my budget. I was in London for my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed my stayed here in the hotel. It’s steps from the overground so if you’re out late no need to worry about walking through an unknown neighborhood. Although, I walked around the neighborhood quite a bit and did not feel unsafe. If I ever move to London the Hackney neighborhood would be one I would seriously consider. There is so much to do and see. Grocery stores and restaurants conveniently located around the corner less than a 3 min walk. Room: I picked the cheapest option the hotel offers which is the twin bed w/shared bathroom. The rooms were exactly as pictured. (I will have a full review and room tour posted on my YT if you’re interested.) Next time, I would definitely get a room with a private bathroom and more space the rooms are so SMALL but I still enjoyed my stay for the price. Can’t wait to visit London again!!

I've been to London several times and I like this neighbourhood. I stayed at the Kip for a week and had a pleasant stay. The room I got was roomy and clean. Just no kitchenettes and fridge. If you don't need any services, I would highly recommend this place. The location is good and transportation is good and also great coffee shops and bakeries w/in walking distance. Direct buses to go to the central and the train station is right next to the hotel. Be aware of train noise though. There are goods trains through day and night. There is a reason for providing ear plugs.

The hotel as such is ok in the price-performance ratio. The staff is friendly, the WhatsApp service was something new and worked best. On this day the air conditioning was out of order, which made a windowless room really unbearable as the free of charge fans didn't really help. Additionally one has to consider that a confidential business phone call is better not made, the rooms are massively clairaudient. In order to have a place to freshen up and sleep, I can absolutely recommend the hotel, those who prefer a little more comfort and discretion should possibly invest a little more.

I found my room too warm for sleeping, but the temperature can be easily changed at the reception. The duvet on the bed is heaven, so so thick&soft&comfortable! Would be back anytime.

The location is not the safest and there was a bit of confusion as they share the building with travel lodge. There were far far too many people sharing that bathroom and with strangers you can just imagine how it can get. However the bathroom was clean to start and the staff were lovely and helpful. Good for a one night stay alone but not luxury. Nice TV and complimentary headphones but I would steer clear of using them for general hygiene reasons. Honestly not all the bad but for the same price I have stayed in better places with similiar set up. It probably is the cheapest and best for Hackney though.

One of the smartest hotels I've stayed in! 4 lads shared room for wireless festival. The rooms are super clean we had a double bunk bed room which was pretty fun tbf! Stayed at the Kip hotel in Hackney Central for nearly a month in different rooms from cabinet to big rooms. Extremely friendly and multilingual staff that go the extra mile to help guests. Very clean and good room facilities. Only shame is that it doesn't have a common or eating area room, but food is allowed in the rooms. To be honest there's an array of eating places, cafes in the area. Will stay again and do recommend.

I was at first unsure how I would rate this hotel. But when you think about it, for the price and all of the things you get in return, you can't beat it. The smaller rooms are SMALL. Prepare yourself for a dorm like experience because not only is the room small, you share a bathroom. Since the place got such great reviews, I thought I'd give it a try. It is relaly clean, way less noisy that I thought it would be and near food and transportation. Be prepared, there is no gym, there is no bar and no phones in the room. But again, for the price and location, this place is pretty good.

I went for a birthday celebration trip. I requested a surprised decoration in advance, they provided the service according to your budget. I didn't confirm but took my own decorarions and asked them to put them last minute for me. They were still very helpful and happy to help. However one thing we didn't quite understand was, they didn't make the bed when they put the balloons there, it looked a bit awkward even though we had hung 'tidy the room' sign at the door. But in general we're still very happy and pleased with our stay. + The room is not big but it has everything you need for a comfortable stay, free coffee and tea at the reception all day. Good transportation, 2 mins away from bus stop and close to overground station. - It's quite a ride from the centre, so you won't be able to go back and have a rest in between.

The hotel was clean, staff was friendly, tge price was ok. The problem we had was, the room was facing the rails, the window seemed to be very thin, the ac didn't work and the 'fallback' dyson ac did not manage to cool down the room. The space was also very limited. Opening one suitcase meant making walking around for the other person nearly impossible. Still London was a blast and i think most hotel rooms are going to be on the "smaller" end of the scale, based on the space-problems in london. But still, not getting a lot of sleep, was a bit irritating.

Kip is one of the best options you got in London. The hotel is very clean, secure, well maintained, and friendly staff. Location is good too, the metro station right behind the hotel. I did not give it a five stars because the use a centralized cooling system, and it was very cold.

This hotel was surprisingly nice, given that some say it was more like a hostel than o hotel. I had a suite, with kitchen and city view. It was planty spacious, but the view was into the windows of the hotel next door. One proper negative ... the bathroom floor is very sloppy when wet. Dangerously so, imo.

The service deserves 5 stars. I'm giving it a 4 due to how tiny the room was. I figured it was tiny but there was no room to move! The temperature of the room was decided by the hotel & it was warm all the time. Sharing a bathroom is always a bad idea but it thankfully wasn't a nightmare. I could see if you had to be somewhere and someone was hogging the bathroom, or Heaven forbid you had to go and it was in use! But again, the price was very nice, room was clean & the employees were very nice and helpful! You get what you pay for!

Really great hotel in a sketchy location, though there was a train station right beside it which was a plus. My friend dropped a pound because of a rat outside, right after we were attacked by a man with a spoon at the Costa beside it--an experience which doesn't have much to do with the hotel, but it felt great to be able to get up to the room and rest after that 😂. It was fun to be in the 6 bunk beds with outlets and personal lights and such. Though it was a year ago, I remember this place fondly.

Its a nice hotel, good wifi, amart tv with losts of options and the rooms are always clean and neat. They are very confortable. Have stayed there some times now and the rooms range from small to quite big but all are very pleasant. Lovely coffe smell from reception. Also, free cofee. That's always a Plus. Right beside overground and bus stop. Just the check in sometimes seems not to be that straightforward, specialky if you book 2 or more rooms under the same name. Other than that I do recomend.

We LOVE this place. Our family was looking for accommodation close to the Olympic Park for a good price and I would definitely return to this place and recommend to friends without hesitation. Rooms were contemporary and clean and well equipped with kitchenette and all mod cons. Tea and coffee available 24hrs at the lovely and welcoming reception. No breakfast served but 2 good cafe options 30 seconds walk away. Excellent public transport links to Olympic Park and to cental London. For the price we were very happy.

I've been to the KIP Hotel twice so far and I definitely plan on staying again the next time I visit London. For travelers on a budget looking for a private room with easy access to the city centre it's hard to go wrong with this hotel. On my first stay I was in a private room with the shared bathroom and without a window. The shared bathroom was super clean and it was only shared with three other rooms so it still seemed pretty private. The room itself came equipped with a cozy bed and a desk. Basically everything you would need for a short Term stay. I loved the room but the only problem was that it got really hot at night. This was in January so I can't imagine what it must be like During the warmer summer months. I ended up sleeping with the door open a crack and this seemed to help quite a bit. During my most recent stay I was in a large double room with my girlfriend. It was a lot more spacious than the single room and it had an amazing view of the Hackney Central Station. I woke up early one morning and I even saw a fox running along the tracks. Even though the train runs right outside the window I didn't find it to be too loud at all. The wi-fi at this hotel is amazing and I really love the free coffees. I'm surprised how skilled some of the receptionists are - they're basically Baristas. Checking in is really easy just it can be a little tricky finding the entrance to the hotel the first time. As for the location, it's just steps away from the Overground station and it's possible to get anywhere you need to be in central London in less than 30 minutes. There are a ton of restaurants and cafes in the neighborhood and I really love the vibe of Hackney. I would definitely recommend the KIP Hotel if you're looking for something modern and reasonably priced with easy access to public transportation.

Very simple and clean, with most of what you need. Asked for an iron and hair dryer to be brought to room, but never came. Bathroom was difficult to get in and out of due to configuration of the doors. Room was a little too cold with no way of controlling this. Earplugs were a nice touch as it sounded like there was a generator next door when I was promised a quiet room at reception. Bed was comfy. No parking.

Lovely bed and staff. Only negative is the bathroom - sliding door with huge gap so feels like you're going to the look in the same room as your partner. If it wasn't for that, it would be a perfect little hotel.

I wish I would have read the fine print stating that my room "might not have a window " . it was kind of hard to live in a 25 square foot box for a week. but the price was unbeatable, it is right next to Hackney central, i shared a bathroom with multiple ppl and never had to wait for a shower, the showers had great water pressure, and the staff was friendly and helpful. so the good def outweighs the bad. would def stay here again and would recommend it to anyone on a budget

The hotel is young, trendy and well located beside a restaurant/nightclub called Oslo. The rooms I stayed was really small and without windows, so make sure you choose the one with windows. The staff was really helpful and the cappuccino they make there was great..!

The location is great right next to Hackney central (overground) about 350 ft away you can take that to highbury and take the victoria line to central london within 30 minutes in off peak times. The room im in is very small, the bed is only about 6 1/4 to 6 1/2 so thats really my only negative thing to say, pay for a more expensive room if you are above 6ft tall, serioously dont stay in this one if your taller than 6 feet. But im good with it because i fit (barely) by the bed is a desk and behind the desk is just enough room for your luggage, but if your walking and sight seeing all day you should be good with it because youll be tired when you get back and will want to sleep. The service is GREAT these people are awesome they are the friendliest staff I have ever interacted with the guy when I checked in gave me advice on where to go relax and even pulled a few places up in the map and made me take a pic so I didnt forget. The girls the next day that waited on me were extremely nice and offered to help as well. They all asked me if I wanted coffee then or in the morning at a certai time. This place is great just research it and see if its right for you. I am sharing a bathroom with 4 other rooms so that is also something to consider if you are staying in a room like mine, I didnt mind it but thats up to you.

Not much to say. The rooms (we had a medium) are small, but contain all you need for a weekend of London. They're also perfectly clean. Pricing varies by day, but seemed reasonable to London standards. The location is a bit of a two-sided thing - it's right next to an overground station, which is very convenient, but also noisy. The windows don't block the sound of the trains, which run late and early. The neighborhood (Hackney) is super lively, we really enjoyed going to the local Wetherspoon's (bar resto) and submerging in local (black) culture. There's a 24/7 Tesco nearby and plenty of buses stop there. Staff were as friendly as can be.
