J. S.Great stay, lovely hotel at a good price. Stayed for a week, had one or two issues but we’re very quickly sorted via a WhatsApp message (nice feature) without any complaints. Daniel was fantastic very welcoming and very talkative. Highly recommended!

T.I was looking for a Hotel and Spa as close to Canary Wharf as possible without staying IN Canary Wharf, The Lansbury Heritage ticked all the boxes, it's regal, affordable, has off street parking, and is about 15 min walk from the Wharf. I booked a club room, it's small but lovely, with the bed being on the first floor and the bathroom ground floor (not so ideal if you have mobility issues, which my wife does have a bad back, a bit of an oversight on my part but she loved the room all the same), it has one large window and an extremely high ceiling.
The staff were courteous although we did stay during storm Eunice so the hotel did seem quiet. The bed is comfy, rooms quiet, heating/air con holds the room temp extremely well, turn down service was fine although dirty teacups left behind and no new ones replaced, not the end of the world by any means but had to go to reception to get my top ups,
So why the 4 stars and not 5, well I booked through booking.com, which is my usual go-to but I didn't see anything about having to book the car park 24 hours before to get a space, it's very small, like 10 spaces max, I might have missed it but was in contact with the hotel a few times regarding early check in, a heads up would have been appreciated, or just this being more clear to customers.
The bar and restaurant are still closed due to Covid which is odd but this didn't effect my review as I was aware of this before making the booking and was planning to be doing most of my eating and drinking in the Wharf's choices of restaurants.
I didn't manage to use the spa, as again it's a book in advance rule, 48 hours in this case, (I thought it was 24, so I got that wrong too, so that was a little disappointing.
All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel for business or leisure, I would stay again myself with better understanding of the booking rules so as to maximise my stay.

K.A short but sweet stay - we didn’t get to experience much of the hotel as it was more of a bed for the night after an evening out in Canary Wharf but what we did see was great - lovely room, comfy bed, powerful shower. A special mention to Daniel who was a super host and also gave a fabulous recommendation for a bar before our evening event - thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
M. B.It was ..... ok. Given the wrong room key to start and had access to some else's room. Easily sorted but never the less not brilliant. Room.was clean and modern. Only issue was the heating didn't work, staff didn't move us nor act upon the issue until 24hrs later (with a oil radiator) not what you would expect from 'luxury hotel' again never the less I cant grumble. Bed was super comfy, food was excellent l, facilities amazing and hotel location and appearance 9/10..one niggle to add... parking is not overally close and the car park is very tight to access. Do you research and book accordingly.
Would I return, based on my stay NO there is better for the money. However that being said if its a weekend in London your after, no car... and without the issues we had. I would recommend 👌
M. 1.Our go to place for a local date night. Classy boutique hotel in an amazing historic building. Love the split level mezzanine rooms on the first floor and they are well worth the extra few pounds. Don't be put off by the surrounding area, once you are inside the hotel, you are transformed to another world. Lovely friendly staff who can't do enough for you. Shame the restaurant is still closed as the food is really nice here and reasonably priced.
J. H.This is a lovely hotel with a warm welcome and beautiful rooms. It is conveniently located, just a very short walk from the Poplar DLR station. I didn't get the chance to enjoy the spa facilities or the breakfast due to a busy work schedule, but hopefully I will return and make time for these in the future.
I stayed in a Club room, which was stunning. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great - the two essentials as far as I'm concerned. The restaurant was not open, so I took a walk to the main road and found a very good pizza place.
The concierge was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend the hotel and would suggest booking directly with them as they can offer competitive rates and a fair cancellation policy.

N. M.Well.. so I booked this for a two night escape from the kids. My partner and I were very much in need of some romance. We dined at Canary Wharf and were looking forward to a passionate night and sleep.
The occupants in the room upstairs had other plans. We were kept awake by their domestic and what sounded like the shower screen falling.
I understand the hotel is an old building but the gurgling of water pipes, the squeaky bathroom door ( so you couldn't sneak a leak without causing your partner a near heart attack) killed the mood, our peace shattered we left after one night.
The kids were a safer, quieter option.
I had read a review from another visitor prior to our visit as they had mentioned the bathroom door and I assumed they were exaggerating. They weren't!
For pity sake.. get some wd40!

Friendly staff on reception was given all details on our room and location octagonal room. which is a lovely large room with a massive bed and high ceilings.
We booked through own. Website and shows including in the description that the room has a bath! But on entering it doesn't. Aslo description says Nespresso machine still not found it.
I found the bed slightly uncomfortable and the pillows felt as if wrapped in plastic and made for a difficult sweaty night's sleep.
Next morning breakfast is a buffet breakfast hot and cold choice. The hot food can only be described as average seaside high street food that you'd look for after a heavy night drinking. At 4 star category hotel butchers meats would be more suitable to the grease holding chip shop sausages and thin bacon. All in it's a pleasant hotel but not worth the money paid for a night as incorrectly described online.

Daniel in particular was attentive and welcoming. - an excellent representative for the hotel. I look forward to staying again soon for another 5* experience

The room was lovely and great value for money, an older building with high ceilings it was different from a chain hotel.
The staff were great, my personal favourite was Jessica on reception who unfortunately we didn't meet until the last day but she had a great personality and was friendly and welcoming, a real credit to the establishment.

J. O.Beautiful beautiful little gem in east London! The Lansbury Heritage hotel is filled with so much history and culture. Read about George Lansbury! It’s a beautiful haven away from the daily energy of Poplar and the Docklands. It’s like stepping into another world. Daniel and Jessica at reception made our stay even so much better. They were very friendly, professional and provided great warmth, paying attention to detail at every point. The reception was outstanding when I arrived. You don’t get that these days in many hotels.
The top highlight for me was the decor of the 2 level floor rooms. The room was gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous and gave the feeling of being at home but in a luxurious space.
It was clean, spacious, smelled like heaven and was well lit and modern. A very smart room! It was quiet, no background noise. You can be with someone else and still have your privacy. You couldn’t feel claustrophobic here. It’s a regal room.
Unfortunately the hotel restaurant and bar wasn’t open due to covid and reorganisation so didn’t have a chance fo visit but we visited the spa and that was good.
Only criticism is that the bath needed some maintenance work which they agreed to fix as it had an extremely slow drain but that didn’t spoil my experience at this gem of a hotel. And I cannot recommend it enough. Great value for the cost too and I will definitely be visiting again. Oh and it’s a stone throw from Poplar station on the DLR and 10 mins walk to Canary Wharf.

it would be hard to find a better place to stay in London, than the Landsbury Hotel. My room was large, comfortable, beautifully furnished and ultra clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and despite the covid restrictions, I felt safe and welcome.
Sadly, the restaurant was closed. However, I was able to find lots of choice in takeaway food on Canary wharf, which is just a few minutes walk away.
I will be returning and recommending.
w. s.This was a little gem in the middle of a town I hadn’t been too. The place was lovely. It smelt lovely and was very welcoming. The receptionist was fantastic and couldn’t do enough. We had a lovely stay. The only minor negatives were one of the bedside lights didn’t work and these were the very lights we wanted to use in the evening. When breakfast was delivered at the exact minute it was due. (Fantastic) the two cereal boxes we received were out of date by quite some time. They tasted fine and I do take into account wasted stock through Covid-19 but for me working in the catering industry and the small price these mini cereal cost it was a bit of a childish error.
L. W.I stayed here with a friend while visiting the O2 and the proximity is really good. The room (303) exceeded my expectation - very clean, freshly decorated and comfortable. There were lots of details like the minibar (with complimentary drinks) and light up makeup mirror, that had been really well thought through. It was very good value for money too compared to some of the big chain hotels near Canary Wharf. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel and hope to stay again soon!

An unusual location but very convenient for the DLR and towtalk to Canary Wharf. Front of house were very friendly and it was excellent value. It proved to be a good choice!

S. A.Stayed here over Christmas holidays, it was very beautiful, the room I stayed in was the classic it was really big in London standards, the rooms were clean, nice, and a very comfortable bed. The staff were amazing, left us a Christmas card and a couple of mince pies as a Christmas gift. There was also a small gym free to use, and spa access. Also loved that it’s close to Poplar DLR station. Would definitely stay here again.

M. P.A little out of the way but if you're in the east side of London I suppose it is ok. The room was ridiculously small but you have to expect that in London. Good for an overnight stay but I would be concerned for longer stays. Mind you we didn't stay in a posh room so you might very well get what you paid for! Can't fault the staff. h. j.We went for afternoon tea here. We arrived a little early as the website & the voucher we had didn’t state a start time. However the staff were amazing. It was their lunch hour but they gave us coffee it the lovely garden terrace, juice for my sone & made sure we were catered for.
When our afternoon tea was ready it was lovely.
However it was the staff at this hotel/restaurant that made our visit speacial.

S. T.What a lovely hotel, the rooms have everything you need, the reception desk is helpful, the sauna and steam room, although small, are adequate.
This hotel feels like an oasis of calm only a stone's throw from canary wharf.
S. T.The area the hotel is situated isn't worth a picture, the hotel looks out onto a set of derelict flats and was described by our Black Cab driver as being a 's#!t hole.' However, the hotel its self was very fancy, clean and true to the photos online. The poplar train station is only a 4min walk, but doesn't go to very many of the desirable destinations so you have to walk or train it to Canary Wharf which is another 10 min walk. The staff were a hit and miss, one receptionist and restaurant staff were welcoming and accommodating however, the rest of the reception staff oozed prude and judgemental. We got their VIP Cab service, they called a taxi, from the airport to the hotel which costed us 110£ despite being quoted 80£. When we inquired regarding a regular black cab for the return trip to the airport they booked the same VIP Cab service and told us the black cabs didnt have a number so she couldn't book one regardless of the fact our restaurant the previous night called us a black cab to the hotel after dinner. So if going on the train isn't your thing and you don't want to sell a kidney to use their VIP cab taxi service, make sure you get a broomstick from the Making of Harry Potter -you'll need it.
We had breakfast most days at their restaurant which had a full hot continental breakfast. The hot food was good but the staff didn't maintain the food levels appropriately so the bacon and scrambled eggs often ran out and there was a long wait for more. I wouldn't recommend the room service, I think my dog might even struggle. There are some really lovely restaurants in Canary Wharf however. The room was clean and provided all the necessaries.
J. M.The deposit for the hotel was a bit steep. The staff was extremely helpful, I found the wifi to be a little weak especially if not near the router. The AC took some time to figure out but overall not a bad experience, would stay again.

J. B.The hotel was very good , the breakfast was absolutely great , although beeing in a neighborhood of a school you never hear outside sounds. The closest trainstation to take is only a 3 minute walk. Minor issue is that there isn't a whole lot of good restaurants closeby and neither a bar to drink something. The only bar closeby is the hotel's one. But that is located in the basement.

On the surface, Lansbury Heritage Hotel seems to cater for only the most elite guests but you'll soon find that their prices are such that you can get a taste of luxury. Head Chef Sazir delighted us with authentic Italian cuisine for dinner at the hotel's restaurant. The room was immaculate. The staff will take care of you. No request is too big. Whether taking a walk through Canary Wharf, exploring museums in Central London, going shopping or grabbing a bite to eat – Lansbury Heritage Hotel has something for everyone.

Gir fire stjerner her og ikke fem for det at damp rommet ikke fungerte og trenings rommet som var her hadde veldig lite utstyr. Det ble heller ikke en femmer pga alle de 4 dagene vi var her så var det akkurat det samme til frokost, ikke det at at det ikke var god frokost men variasjon var det ikke noe av.
Betjeningen var veldig hyggelige.
Rommene var nydelige med stor TV og veldig god seng som gjorde alt bedre med det nydelige interiøret. Fine moderne dusjer og toaletter samt. Veldig fornøyd.
Hotellet ligger kun 4-5 min fra DLR banen som kobler deg sammen med metro og alle andre baner til der du trenger å dra til.
