We just stayed here for two weeks and enjoyed our stay. The rooms are very nicely decorated and the location is great, plenty to see within waking distance but also very close to the tube. Reception staff was very nice and happy to help, but the level of cleanliness was not what I would expect. First of all, the rooms are only cleaned once a week. In general I think that's fine, but in these rooms that just was not enough because the ventilation visibly spread dust all over the studio. After just a couple of days, there were piles of dust on the floor. We wanted to clean surfaces and the dust off the floor by ourselves and information on the website said cleaning supplies are available on request, but despite several requests nothing ever showed up.
When the room was cleaned a week in, we were really looking forward to returning to clean room but basically housekeeping had only changed the sheets and vacuumed. Surfaces were still covered in dust. I complained about this and reception staff very kindly arranged for the room to be cleaned an extra time the next day which made it slightly better, but the layer of dust on different surfaces like the nightstands made it very obvious they still had not been cleaned.
The sofa and the mattress had visible stains on them, as did the carpet in the corridor outside the room. These could very easily be cleaned with a steam cleaner which would massively improve the general impression of the hotel, so not sure why this had not been done.
We would consider staying again, but would probably choose the newer Locke next door.

One of the best hotels I've ever been. My friend and I stayed there for three nights. The view and location is amazing. They have all the things you need. The room is a bit small but it's enough for two people. And the receptionists are really nice and passionate especially the lady with blue eyes. Really recommended!!! Will definitely go there again!!!

This was the most beautiful apartment in the heart if London. The skyline apartments have a gorgeous view and you'd be pushed to find better value in a location like this elsewhere.
The staff were amazing and super knowledgeable of the area if you aren't familiar and would like to find somewhere to visit nearby.
I would 100% stay again if I was in Central London.
We only had a couple of issues in the apartment and the staff were super fast to act upon resolving them.

Booked the room for myself but hosted a small surprise bridal shower for a friend & staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. Room was lovely and clean, originally had booked their normal studio room but I called the night before to see if it was possible to put us in a sky level room and on the day they had given us the top floor, views were amazing! I don't usually take the time out to write reviews but their customer service was so refreshing to experience that I had to, will definitely be booking again!

I stayed at Leman Locke in early December 2021, on a business trip. The area is excellent, near shops, the tube and of course the City. The staff was incredibly kind and generous. I even mixed up the check-out dates and they allowed me to check out a few hours later without any surcharge. I really appreciated it. The vibe is great and so is the food at their cafe - I wish I had time to try out some of the events they organize weekly...next time! Can't wait to come again. Oh and the view is just amazing!!)

The room is very comfortable, however there were quite a few issues with cleaning. On check in, there were used tea bags in the tea/coffee box, and a used toilet paper sheet sticking out from under the bed (I wouldn't have mentioned if it was hidden under, but you can clearly see it).
The weekly cleaning was scheduled on a Friday at 9am but it didn't happen. Spoke with the reception to reschedule on Saturday at 12pm and it didn't happen either. Had to schedule it the third time on Sunday. This has been really disruptive since I had to leave the room for this.
And you'd think the cleaning staff would replace your teas and kitchen supplies. However nothing was replaced (my washing machine tabs, toilet paper, teas and coffees were just left empty).
It's easy to say "hey, talk to us if something is amiss", but as a guest you'd expect certain things to be done without asking. I could have gone down to the reception everyday to ask for two tea bags, but if you aren't generous to just have it supplied in the room during a cleaning, I'd rather just get a proper box of them elsewhere.

I had a room on the 19th floor with a view of London's skyline. Couldn't have asked for anything better. The place is clean, cozy, and has everything you need to be comfortable . Depending on where you're coming from, you would conclude that the rooms are small but I mean(this is London), they rarely come in big sizes.

Great experience and views in a roomy suite, but the sofa and bed were uncomfortable. Staff extremely friendly and helpful, great location, and having an affordable suite made our stay in London a lot more simple. But we couldn't get fully comfortable and unfortunately slept terribly...!
A. B.
The initial room we were offered was very cramped. Staff kindly moved us to a 2-room "apartment" at no extra cost. BUT there was minimal wardrobe space, no dressing table, very few sockets, nowhere to use the hairdryer except the hallway, only one dining-type chair at the small table, teeny-weeny wash basin, poor overhead lighting g. We will NOT recommend this establishment to our friends & would much prefer to stay in a Premier Inn.

Great location, modern design, friendly staff, but minor hiccups that I found annoying.
Any issues, you need to go to reception rather than dialling their reception number 55. I tried several times, left a message, but no response. Beds aren’t so comfortable, fittings and general upkeep is not great, though rooms are clean. Pink sofas look nice, but dirt marks are visible, not a great choice.

Amazing accommodation in the heart of London, so close to the tube. Fantastic kitchen and all other facilities. Feels like home

My partner choose this place for weekend in the middle of the July. We had one bedroom on the 10th floor. View great, shame that windows can't be open. Nice, fresh and clean. Custumer service as well on high level.

We stayed at Leman Lock for 11 nights.
During this time we had some special requests and recommendations from the front desk team. Any time we asked the team tried to help as much as they could including looking up information for us or making calls.
On top of that the room was bigger than usual London hotel suits and sparkling clean.
So we highly recommend and will happily stay again next time we arrive to London.

Stayed here with my partner as we are long distance, I traveled from Newcastle he traveled from Kent. Josh hosted us and was great! Bathroom was amazing as was the view from our living room and bedroom windows. Only downside was the TV not having apps or able to connect Netflix etc. Only had Apple TV and screen mirroring but that doesn’t support many other apps. Other than that it was a brilliant stay in a great location!
O. W.
Loved the view and the apartment is lovely but when I got there after the check in time rooms was still not ready only disappointment
K. B.
This place is a must stay, great views from the top floors. Cant fault this place one bit. Staff are very freindly, helpful, curtious, place makes you feel right at home. Can get to oxford circus and any other location in around 20 mins on the underground a stones throw away from the hotel lobby. And if anyone likes some east end history the jack the ripper tour is a must do. Be sure to take your camera.
Room 5 stars, staff 5 stars, everything is 5 stars. I will be back for sure thank you very much.

Say hello to Fabrizia, as well as Pierre and Josh (and Gerald the security guard!) in reception - they're so lovely!
I stayed in Leman Locke for three months as corporate housing on an internship. What a place! The apartment complexes have everything I can imagine one needs (e.g dishwasher and washer-and-dryer-in-one) and the hotel has a free gym with <= 25kg dumbbells and a cable machine. I felt treated to the max, except the one downside is that apartments do not have openable windows.
S. E.
Such a great place. Great interior design and nice and clean. The apartment had everything we needed and the bed was super comfy. All the staff were really helpful, friendly and relaxed. Really good location for what we needed. We’ll definitely be back.
H. S.
This is now the only place we'll stay when we come to London. It's like being in a home away from home. The TV connects to your phone so you can watch Netflix and not TV etc and the kitchen has everything you need to cook.
Staff are friendly and helpful and will be available at any time if you need something.
Lovely little cafe downstairs too so if you're leaving early in the morning you can grab something from there before you go.
The location is great too, we found that you can pretty much walk everywhere but if you are going via the underground the hotel is next door to the last stop in zone 1, so you won't have to pay the zone 2 fares.
L. W.
Highly recommend this fantastic hotel. Great apartment with all the facilities you could want. Very comfy bed. The staff were so kind and helpful. Couldn't have been better.

Lovely welcome from the ladies on desk upon check-in. Extremely helpful and made sure we were very welcome and gave great tips on places to eat / drink in the surrounding area. The apartment is perfect and the views on the 21st floor are amazing. Will definitely consider a visit again in the future.

I would absolutely recommend Leman Locke to anybody who fancy a city break to London. Spacious studio apartments, that have beautiful views of the city...especially at night. Leman Locke is a great location with Tower Bridge is only a 20mins walk.
The apartments are very clean and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. 5 stars all the way!
M. A.
Enjoyed a wonderful seven days in a 22nd-floor studio. Stylish, spacious, clean, with Smeg appliances. Spacious shower room was a real treat. The staff was friendly and helpful. Really close to Aldgate East tube and other transport. An ideal place for work or leisure. Only negative is shower floor is slippery. A nonslip mat of some kind is essential; I used the cotton bath mat provided. A great experience and I will return, as I travel for work frequently. May also try the other Locke apartment hotels.

Nice place to stnin London, very clean and taff were friendly. I would love o come back on.my next trip to Londonn

Lovely apartment/hotel! Very comfortable and has everything you need for cooking and living there long term if necessary. Appliances were one of the best I have seen for a hotel. Beds could be a bit bigger but everything else was perfect. Definitely will be back in the future!

Really nice, clean and modern hotel apartment in a good location. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Lovely hotel, decent priced and yet very central London. The rooms are gorgeous and modern with both heating and air con (which came in handy when we visited in summer with 31 degree heat). There’s a tube station a minute down the road which is still in zone 1.
You can book out the gym for your room, making it very private. The cafe downstairs is great and even does cocktails. Sadly, the bar/restaurant upstairs was closed during our stay due to Coronavirus.
The Tower of London is just down the road along with lots of other tourist destinations.
The only negatives I have is there was a open condom wrapper left on the side table upon entry, and there’s little information about disposing or rubbish. However, the front desk are very responsive and have great customer service.

Lovely place to stay. I Spent 2 weeks here in early August and the condition of the accommodation was just as advertised on the website. Would have been nicer for circulation if it had windows just like the neighbouring buildings. Major disappointing part was the city views (Tower bridge, Gherkin etc.) shown on booking.com are no longer visible due to new developments obscuring them. The staff confirmed that none of the rooms provide that view and were accommodating in offering me options of rooms/views to select from. It was also conveniently located with great access to grocery stores and restaurants.

I stayed here from Jan to early March whilst in between accommodations. Will break the review into area, room, gym, and people with a little bonus at the end.
Area - Leman Locke is in Aldgate East which is walking distance from Brick Lane and Spitalfield Market making it a great location to check out East London. It was cool exploring some touristy parts of East London during lockdown meaning it was quieter and I could stroll with a cup of coffee.
Room - I went for a separate bedroom and living room space. Has all your basic amenities from cooking utensils to toiletries - all provided by Locke. Everything functioned as it should, décor is easy on the eyes so only positive here. The only point to improveme would be that the couch had a stain.
Gym - there is a gym that is cleaned regularly. You have to book a slot to train with your household. It's got everything you'd need for a decent workout.
People - the people who work here are friendly and perform useful services from delivering packages to my room, refilling toiletries and recommending things to do around the area.
Bonus - there's a coffee shop and fusion restaurant in the building! If it's not your taste, there are loads of restaurants and coffee shops around - chain and independent

Reasonable prices! GREAT LOCATION near to many of the best restaurants in the town, train stations, cycles station, Supermarket & Tower bridge. The staff is amazing, polite & Sooo generous! Specially Mr. Abul Hassan. Definitely this is will be always my favorite place to stay in London!
A. B.
Fantastic place, couldn't fault it at all. We had a awesome stay here, tube & supermarket is 2 mins walk down the road and the restaurant is delicious. Staff are super friendly and the rooms are very modern with everything that you need. Would definitley stay again.
A. A. U.
I stayed for more than 6 months and can recommend the place for its central location. Be warned that it's entirely air conditioned and there is no possibility of opening the window. The rooms having views on the upper floors facing tower bridge are recommended.

Stayed here for my partners 30th birthday for a staycation in London. Having recently stayed at Whitworth Locke in Manchester we sort of knew what to expect.
We stayed in a sky level studio on the 21st floor.
The studio had everything we needed for a covid time break. A great full kitchen with a fridge, dishwasher and washing machine which was really useful. A good sized table. The pink sofa was cool (albeit a little dirty - from the many photo shoots I assume) and there was a good sized tv.
The bed was comfy, although the pillows were not.
The location was also great and it’s about 30 seconds away from Aldgate East station.
The only negatives were the semi open shower let a lot of water out onto the bathroom floor, there are only two lifts so the loft wait time (especially with social distancing can be quite long), also our cutlery and dishes were a little dirty (but this wasn’t a massive problem as we had the dishwasher).
Overall, this is a great hotel and I will definitely be staying in another Locke hotel in the future.

Friendly, helpful staff. Spacious and comfortable room. Great view, ask for a high room with a south facing view. Lots to do nearby.
Coffee shop in the lobby has wonderful croissants and pastries.

Stayed here for 4 nights in January 2019. Absolutely loved the place & the concept (apart-hotel). The little touches provided (coffee, tea, milk in fridge for coffee, little dark chocolate) were so nice. We loved having the dishwasher & washer/dryer as well and being able to cook should we want to. Felt like a tiny home away from home!
D. M.
Great apart-hotel. Friendly staff and modern build. Smart TV apps don't work very well so dont expect to watch much tv but we werent too worried. Full kitchen with utensils and washer/dryer. No complaints.

Their customer service is great! Andrea helped me a lot with the booking/ information. Easy and fast check in. The room was nice even though the view wasn’t anything amazing. Would definitely recommend!
D. H.
Great hotel for staying at whilst mixing work and leisure. Each room has separate WiFi so we had a great connection. The design of the rooms was very comfortable and having a full kitchen gives a nice option for a longer stay. The coffee shop downstairs is also great for working.

Best place I stayed in London!
I stayed here between 27-28th dec 2020 book from booking.com
This apartment was amazing. Abul was a lovely receptionist & bubbly. I had the best welcoming experience staying here would always come here when I stay in London! Thank you abul for giving lovely customer service.

This hotel apartment is absolutely lovely. It lacks nothing. I stayed in the One Bed Suite for three nights and enjoyed the interior design, the view and the lovely bathroom. If you do stay at the top floor, you will find yourself day dreaming and appreciating the view as it draws strong attention to you throughout the day. The colour scheme is just perfect to keep your spirits up making you feel like you've reached cloud 9 and no, the pink sofa isn't too girly at all.
It is better than you expect and has all the things you pretty much need. I made use of the kitchen everyday and felt that there was nothing missing. If anything it was easier to live here than it is in my own house! They have great services and facilities, such as Yoga. Both Tv's worked just fine and are a good size. It is very very clean and take my word for it because I have OCD.
The staff here are all very professional, kind and helpful. I would like to express a particular appreciation for a the front of house manager: Andrea Briglione. This gentleman is just a straight up fine man that I feel I can trust to answer my questions and enquiries. He does his job very well and if it wasn't for him, the hotel wouldn't be the same. So, thank you very much Andrea for all your help, for being so welcoming and making my stay very easy. I certainly would love to stay here again in the future.
Need a break? Want to spend quality time with the love of your life? Then you'll like this place, the setting can get quite romantic.
I could say more but I will end my review here.

Nice staff, service and room facilities. Suitable for longer stay, as there are full equipped kitchen including oven, also there are washer dryer free to use. Cafe downstairs is good for photo taking.

great location, warm and welcoming people, great cleanliness and very friendly

My stay at lemon and Locke was very pleasant, The staff was very welcoming and the room was very clean and spacious. I would definitely recommend lemon and Locke to a friend and I will be coming here in the future.

Nice hotel and a nice room. We enjoyed our stay there, but we were probably unlucky as the washing machine ate our clothes twice and the stove didn't work properly. After two days the hotel offered to change rooms for us and gave us free drinks in the bar which were pretty good.
O. J.
What an amazing hotel. Excellent customer survice - Thank you Cintia for accommodating our requests. All rooms have its own kitchen which are fully equipped from utensils to a blender, oven, and dish washer. There’s even a Smeg washing machine/dryer which we used twice during our three night stay. There are lots of small details which made this hotel special. Location was close enough to walk to the Tower Bridge where we caught the hop on hop off bus from.
J. K.
I have been twice now to stay here. The rooms are large and spacious with great photogenic views, inside and out.
I believe they call the rooms apartments now, which makes sense as they have a microwave, hob and a large fridge. The staff are polite and often very helpful. The room comes with a selection of teas, coffee and milk in the fridge. It's a 5 minute walk from brick lane so there is a great local atmosphere and things to do from places to eat to local bars.
On the second floor is the Treves restaurant which provide fine dining at a good value, I'm pretty surprised they don't have the bib gourmand based on the food quality. The restaurant staff really seemed to care about the food and describing it in detail. At the front of the ground floor is the Hyde cafe which has a selection of teas and coffees which are of a high quality and the staff were willing to talk about coffee at length providing milk alternatives like oat milk.

Absolutely everything about Leman Locke is outstanding. To begin the entire team here are incredible, always ready to help, going above and beyond to ensure every issue is addressed in a timely, effective and friendly manner. The studios/apartment are fantastic, so cosy and comfortable, it truly feels like a home away from home. The location is also very convenient (and cool!), perfect for exploring and rest assured, every concievable thing you could need is just moments away (and if it's not, the team are always ready with amazing recommendations!).
Highly, highly recommended!
F. V.
The room was nice, but too much focus was put on design rather than comfort and usability.
CONS:
The sofa is itchy, the chairs are uncomfortable to work on the table, the round bed table too small for my taste. It is very positive that the hotel comes with accessible en-suite bathrooms, but it can be a bit uncomfortable in the long term: the shower has no box, so the whole bathroom would get wet every time, the sink is extremely small, the toilet small and high. TV streaming would freeze half of the times (probably due to the Apple TV not being to process the video fast enough).
What I found most disappointing though are the lights! Spot lights everywhere that would light specific points leaving the rest in the dark: no light on half of the table, bright light on the bed but no light on and in the cabinet. The lights on the side of the bed are brighter than the main one, which can come to an advantage since you can point them where you need to see.
Finally the lifts are ridiculous! Two lifts, one of them is almost always not moving, while you wait for the other one for minutes. Especially in the morning I had to wait up to 5 minutes for the lift to pass me, stop on everything floor on the way back and finally take me downstairs.
PROS:
The room was always very clean and tidy, the bed is comfortable and spacious and the room at the entrance is handy to leave your bags and coats. Similarly, the bench in that area makes it very comfortable to tie/untie your shoes. The dishwasher and washing machines in the room were highly appreciated, the kitchen small but functional, the cooking equipment basic but more than enough to cook easily if you want to. Although you will not want to cook too often once you try Chucks burger (just 2 minutes walking distance)! :)
The staff is the part that impressed me most positively, for their attitude, their energy and willingness to help. They were always very joyful and positive and would put a smile on my face. The music and food in the hall are quite nice, a good way to start your day!
M. S.
I really enjoyed my stay here, I thought the layout was really good. Although a studio apartment it felt like it had a separate bedroom. Everything was immaculate and the products in the bathroom smelt amazing! I stayed on the 17th floor and thought the views were beautiful. However I did think the room was dark and dingy. The concrete headboard was uncomfortable and I felt like I was staying in an IKEA prison.
J. K.
Nice staff, decent location. Very clean and a fully equipped kitchen with oven and washing machine. Really nice and bright apartment space with views over London. Comfortable living area to relax in too.
However, couple of issues - shower will leak out onto the bathroom floor, so expect the floor to get very wet as the shower trays don't have a large enough lip. The pillows feel really cheap and you can feel the texture inside roll up into little balls. The duvet is pretty much the same but the worst part was the mattress which was worn in on each side creating divots on either side. Sadly having stayed at other Locke apartments elsewhere I was abit disappointed by my stay this time.
M. D.
One night stay but we wish it had been longer- lovely apartment, very clean with lots of amenities and a great view from the 22nd floor. Friendly staff, with our bags ready for us in the room when we arrived. Would definitely stay again!
J. C.
Great hotel. Easy checkin, nice room, very peaceful. Would recommend for business trips.
D. Z.
This place is a perfect home away from home, in the center of London. Depending on when you book it and at what rate. It can be good deal. I got it at a good price which is why I booked it... 7 nights for $1,318 USD (£998)... about $188 (£142) per night. The room I got was pretty small... in the category I selected. They were very nice and changed me to a bigger room on upper floor.
Everything is new and modern from outside to inside. Each unite has everything you can possible need... down to dishwasher and washer and dryer. It’s located right across the tube 🚇 station. The bathroom design is spacious and very efficient... with good lighting for those who need to do their makeup. The shower 🚿 has great water pressure and amazing hot water for every taste... from boiling hot to lukewarm. And most importantly... the place has super fast 💨 and very reliable WIFI. The staff are extremely helpful and genuinely nice, allowing early check in..

We stayed here on our honeymoon earlier this month and it was lovely. The room was very spacious, the bed was comfortable, the staff was so nice and helpful. There is a nice coffee shop in the front of the hotel which was convenient, and the tube station was only a block away, which made getting around super easy! The only downside was the bathroom, ( and everything else more than made up for it) was there was no tub in the bathroom, just a squeegee so the floor got really wet. There were also no plugs in the bathroom, only for shavers. But that makes sense with the wet floor! I would stay here again in a heart beat!

I never thought I’d be living in a hotel room during a quarantine but as luck would have it we were at Leman Locke when WHO declared the covid-19 as a pandemic. We stayed there for three weeks till we were relocated by our country’s embassy to a hotel near Heathrow. The first few days before the government lockdown, we took the advantage of the near Aldgate East station to go to the main attractions like Sky Garden, Tower Bridge, the London Eye, also we wandered around Spitalfields Market and whitechapel by foot. Once lockdown was effective, we stayed in the room. Thankfully, it had fully-equipped kitchen so we didn’t rely on takeaways (since no restaurants offered dine-in) or food delivery; there were a lot of near-by express tesco and sainsbury for grocery run, in addition they had a grocery delivery service if you don’t want to go out. Cleaning service was provided at first on certain days but once the pandemic took over and no contact was allowed; they offered care packages instead (clean towels, toiletries, dish washer pods, detergent pods, kitchen sponge, tea towels and trash bags) every 3-4 days. The staff were nice and very accommodating and understanding to our situation (stuck in a foreign country). All in all, best place for a quarantine..

Beautiful, cozy, clean & convenient! Loved the interior design & colour palette - it gave the place a calm & relaxing atmosphere. Leman Locke is very close to the Aldgate East subway station & easy access to grocery store, pharmacy & food places. Having an in unit fridge, kitchen & washing machine is so nice after 2 weeks of travelling & changing hotels frequently. I really enjoyed my stay here.

My husband and I stayed at the Leman Locke for a full week--It really is a lovely place, nicely appointed, helpful and welcoming staff and near a tube station. I had coffee everyday form the coffee bar downstairs great coffee and good grab and go breakfast foods with really nice people staffing the counter. Few things--the housekeeping schedule is strange to me. They don't come everyday more like every 3 days which would be fine, but the rubbish bin in the bathroom is TINY--I needed mine changed at least every 2 days. If you're going to toss it every 3 days then perhaps it should be bigger. Also--the half door on the shower stall is a terrible idea--the floor gets soaked right away leaving it unpleasant for the next person coming in. Lastly, I wish the light switches were labeled I kept flicking things on and off. Great place--would recommend and stay again.

Booked because it was close to my office, not too expensive and looked pretty good. The hotel is clearly very new, very hip and in keeping with the mood of Whitechapel. The room was excellent - the kitchen I didn't use was spotless and well equipped, the living area was comfy with some nice touches and the bed was excellent, even if it was very close to the 'wardrobe'. There's a lot of choice round there for a hip hotel room, but for the right price I would definitely return
K. N.
Very nice apartment, ideal if you're staying several days. Nice touch: it comes with a yoga mat. There's a good restaurant downstairs if you want to stay in and not cook.
h. s.
The stuff at the front desk is very friendly and helpful.
The room is a little bit small comparing to the pictures but it's well equipped.(we were on the 15th floor). Great view. It's right next to an underground so it's comfortable to go anywhere you want in London.
D. A.
Really was like home from home. Brilliant location, close to tube station. All the tiny details necessary to make you feel comfortable. Even a little blanket so you can snuggle up on the sofa whilst watching TV in your little 'apartment'. Staff could not have been more helpful. I will be booking here again and I suspect this will be several times too. Keep up the good work.

Leman Locke traditionally might be a hotel that attracts new-age single travelers who would want a serviced apartment. We were a family of 3 with one child of 8 months, and we had the best experience at the hotel.
The Good :
1. The kitchenette is very well equipped. I mean very. They have stove, utensils, plates, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, and they even gave the supplies along (washing powder etc.)
2. They provided a very cosy cot for our 8 month old baby.
3. Room cleaning on alternate days
4. Easy access to Aldgate Metro station
The Memorable:
1. Cozy L shaped sofa. Our son used to stare out the glass windows while jumping on the sofa. great lounger
2. Treves & Hyde - the restaurants. Very good chefs. They even made some custom dishes since we were vegetarian

Nice hotel. More of a 1bd 1ba apt than a traditional hotel room. Really small bathroom sink (pictured). I stayed in room 407. The shower is a no-step shower (is that what you call it?). When I used it, it flooded the bathroom. Water everywhere. Under the toilet. Under the sink. The drain wasn't clogged, the incline of the floor just was not designed properly. It wasn't until after I showered that I understood why there is a squeegee in the bathroom (pictured).
The bathroom outlet has both American and European voltage (pictured next to sink), so you can bring your electric clippers, no need for a voltage converter. I wish I knew this beforehand.
The gym was ok. 1 treadmill, 1 rowing machine. 2 benches. Free weights from 5 up to 50. 1 cable crossover machine with pull-up bars. 1 Olympic bar (no plates, however). Small room - (maybe 15' x 24'). 2 TVs. Sorry, no pictures (broke my own travel rule here). When I used it, there were two other people in the room and I did not feel comfortable taking pictures in what felt like such close quarters.
The bedroom had a bed a tv and a shelving system. Small nightstand with a rotary phone on it. I wished that the room had a chair or two for you to throw stuff on, I moved one of the two chairs from the dining room table into the room.
One tv in the living room. Only viewable by one person sitting on the small couch. Lighting in the apt is not great and with the exception of the floor lamp and the kitchen counter lights, none of the switches are intuitively designed.
Food at the hotel left a lot to be desired. I had a very regrettable breakfast. Never got dinner bc the menu sounded awful. I was hoping the whole thing about "London having terrible food" was an urban legend. My experience over the past week (with the exception of one meal at a Turkish restaurant near the hotel in white chapel) proved that the saying isn't baseless.
The room has a sizeable fridge (double mini-fridge size) with a small freezer that can hold a carton of ice cream. Pots, pans, cutlery, plates, cups & bowls. Dishwasher, washer/dryer. Oven! Came in handy after I noticed the unsalted almonds I got were also raw. Oven dial is in C, so...9C/5 + 32, my American friends.
No wash cloth in the bathroom, only a hand towel, body towel and a floor towel (I do not understand how people wash themselves without washcloths). The floor towel got soaked when I showered. The flood (described above) did not seep over into the bedroom.
The elevators do not have an up/down button...only a call button. Seems presumptuous. I guess the floors you push once inside indicate where the elevator will go.
White Chapel works as a location if you're looking for access. The train is less than a block away and there are lots of buses. There are lots of places to eat nearby.

I Stayed here 2 nights for work, I checked in a little earlier than the normal time with absolutely no issues, reception staff were extremely welcoming, professional and very efficient. The studio on the 18th floor was nicely laid out with all mod cons and stunning views of the city. I will definitely be back and recommend to other colleagues

Great place, new hotel with studio apartment, we spent a wonderful weekend there feeling like home. Staff is really friendly and professional, kitchen is perfect to prepare your own food and meet friends. Aldgate East station is a short walk (zone 1).
A.
Incredible staff specially the employees at night shift. Thank you for your help and kindness.
A. D.
Modern place with a quite tasty brunch. The full English breakfast was great! The other alternatives look good as well. Nice and calm on a Sunday morning.
A. B.
Absolutely loved the place, it was not expensive and apartment was well designed, thought through and organised, had everything I needed! Was also offered a late check out which was very helpful. Definitely coming back!
A. F.
Quality designed interiors; spotless. Bed was comfortable, Full kitchen with Smeg appliances, rain shower, plenty hot water, good supply of bespoke toiletries. I am a total coffee snob – the café is top quality! Room was on the 10th floor; bright and spacious, ask for a high floor (there are 22 I believe)

I stayed overnight with my husband and 6-month old baby. We wanted a unique trendy experience to remind us of our pre-baby city breaks - We got that and more! The hotel is extremely well thought through with charming design features at every turn. An eclectic mix of New York / london / scandi style. Very luxurious, muted tones and not at all pretentious, but irresistibly stylish. I was charmed by frivolous features like the Little Red Riding Hood Russian dolls and rubber ducks in each room, but even more so I was impressed by the functionality. The place is equipped with some serious kit - Smart TV in both the living room and bedroom and exceptional kitchen facilities by Smeg. The shower had multiple settings and the bathroom mirrors are anti-steam (much appreciated by most women!). I also appreciated the high quality that oozes at every turn, including the first-rate tea selection by the one and only T2. You might think that such a trendy design would subordinate functionality but we found the room better equipped for our baby than most 5 star hotels. We had a bath so we could do bath time without faffing with our inflatable Baby bath and plenty of space for his travel cot. Plus we had the kitchen to sterilise his bottles and prepare food. I was disappointed that the restaurant was not yet open and hope to come back once it is. But we had complimentary Eat Natural bars in our room that tied us over til we hit up Spitalfields for brunch
K. B.
Fantastic comfy modern hotel in a great location with views of the gherkin. Lots of space & amenities for a good price. Delicious breakfast & cocktails too (not at the same time 😉).

I can't wait to come back and stay at Leman Locke. Love the whole Locke living ethos in this cool, contemporary aparthotel.
I recommend booking a skyline view apartment near the top.
The accommodation has everything you need from iron, hairdryer, room safe, fully fitted kitchen inc. oven and washing machine. You have your own room phone number and control for your heating/air con. Little extras like a yoga mat, slippers and robe, mini milk in fridge, art/photography coffee table books (loved the photo book).
The views are awesome, overlooking Zen roof gardens, Tower Bridge, The Shard.
Very comfy bed, blackout curtains, walk-in rainfall shower and a stylish, thoughtful interior throughout.
Quiet, no noise from street when you're at the top, despite being located in a busy cultural hub. Air con noisy at night for me though; option to switch off in room. **In summer would need a/c on as cannot open windows.
There is a gym, occassional yoga classes and the Treves and Hyde restaurant. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and genuinely fully invested in ensuring your stay is perfect.
Recommended during your stay:
1. Visit the six bronze horse sculptures by Hamish Mackie. They are sited within playful water features in Goodman's Fields next to Sainsbury's.
(1 min walk).
2. Check out the street art in the Brick Lane area.
3. Independent stores and artisan markets in Brick Lane, Spitalfields Market and Shoreditch.
4. The Thames Path near Tower Bridge and The Tower of London (10-15min walk).
5. Iconic buildings in Aldgate, The Gherkin etc and sky view restaurants within walking distance.
Worth knowing:
1. No step free access/elevator at Aldgate, Aldgate East or Whitechapel tube stations. An issue when you have luggage! Liverpool Street and London Bridge stations are not far away though; you could get a taxi from there. (Cheetah Cars are reliable).
2. Aldgate tube station is literally 2mins walk from Aldgate East tube station (district line); the TFL map doesn't make this obvious.
This gives you another tube line option if you have a long wait for tube to Aldgate East.
3. Aldgate East tube station (Leman St exit) is only 1min from Leman Locke.
4. There are two elevators in the hotel.
5. Check in 4pm
(use Bag B &B service at Brick Lane Hotel if you want to explore area without luggage, before or after your stay; very kind and helpful there). Book via Bag B&B app.
Check out 11am (You can pay extra for a late check out.)
6. Plant Mylks available (ask at reception)
7. Sainsburys Local 1min walk.
An aparthotel is a much better option than staying in a pokey, run of the mill hotel room. The area is good if you like culture and iconic architecture. Brick Lane/Shoreditch is a popular destination for street photography. An abundance of vintage fashion and ethnic fabric/tailoring stores -- great destination for sari fabric. Dining out with a difference: up near the clouds in high end restaurants, or sampling market street food. Or, staying in and eating in the hotel, or cooking in your studio/apartment. They even supply a recipe book.
S. K.
Very very Nice . Amazing Hospitality .Amazing connectivity ...It's literally situated on 2 different tube stations ..
Also have Sainsbury , Tesco and everything on walking distance ..
The room ambience and compactness is amazing ..
I stayed here for 4 weeks and I will come back again .

LIke having your own place in London
We liked the privacy the appartment gives you, all the services provided, you literally have everything you need to live for a few days. Location is superb, so close to the City, and Shoreditch area.

A great find, Close to the underground, walking distance to many places, superb rooms. Fantastic coffee. Great welcoming staff, made us feel at home.

Great location. Just opposite to aldgate east metro station. Many tourist spots are within walking distance.
Apartment has all the amenities one need to sustain on its own. Grocery stores are nearby.

Really helpful staff, good rooms, great views. I had a few issues but the staff did everything they could to rectify the problems. Bar and restaurant also great service and really good food. I'd recommend the BBQ in the summer.
G. T.
Home from home. A trendy apart-hotel with everything you need including TV with iPhone mirroring. Parking nearby through Just Park for £10 also.
It's clean, comfy, friendly and affordable with great views. It's my fourth visit. Close to shops and next to Aldgate East train station and out of congestion charge zone if you want to drive.
The UMA music events are great too. Excellent place to take meetings in their coffee shop.
P. K.
A peaceful and well managed stay. Property is deigned and curated in a retro way and very appealing. Stayed once there and It was superb.

Very good place to stay, this is my 2nd stay in this Apartment . Front desk guys are very pleasent and helpful, but this time the house keeping staff didn't cleaned the room properly, during weekly cleaning and internet on TV got low connectivity.. Overall it's good..
J. W.
Super nice designed rooms. The girl at the Reception was super grumpy though. So when we arrived i did not get the best Impression.
O. R.
New aparthotel in a good location, super clean and comfy. You have everything in your room, full kitchen, tv, hair dryer, etc... and friendly staff. The underground stop is at the door.

C. H.
Very friend staff at a useful location for the underground (Aldgate East) with good food available. Room was great value for money and comfortable with good facilities

Modern and exceptionally clean. Lots of clever details if you're observant. My favourite was that the selection of random old books in the reception were by various authors with Locke in the name ;)

Cleaner twice a week with amenities refilled each time. Clean, open and inviting space. Their system to connect to Wi-Fi and where to learn the rest of the information about the services Leman Locke provided, was streamlined and efficient.

Fantastic hotel, one of my favourites, rooms are lovely, gym is small but has good equipment and surrounding area is nice. Right next to aldgate east tube station.
F. o. T.
Welcoming staff, clean and nice rooms.
Restaurant on the first floor is pushing a bit too hard to be "classy", but then again they're a "separate establishment".
J. K.
Great location, great interior design and really welcoming people. Rooms are spacious and practical. Definitely recommend staying at Leman Locke again!
h.
I love the Locke, it is cozy and convenient! Just a 1 min walk to Algate East Station and 3 min walk to Algate Station! New furnished and a great place to plan your stay!

I've stayed at Leman Locke for some months and it was a very great experience!
The hotel is well located. It's very close to a metro station (Aldgate East), several pubs and restaurants and Tower Bridge.
Besides that, the apartments are very comfortable and contain a lot of equipment (2 Smart TVs, dishwasher, washing machine, freezer, cooktop, oven, ...).
The staff and maintenance are also very helpful.
I'd definitely recommend staying at Leman Locke.

I stayed at Leman Locke for 3 months along with a couple of friends. It was a really nice experience, and I'm sure all my friends enjoyed as well ;).
The building is well located, near to train stations, pubs, restaurants (from different countries), cinemas, and a small walk from the Tower Bridge. Each apartment has its own design, and all of them were beautiful. The Sky-level view was amazing!
The hotel crew were always helpful and able to solve any issues, besides helping me to find nice places to visit and eat nearby.
I was an amazing stay, and I'll miss everyone :)

(Translated) Oh, I liked it so much, I miss you. This is a picture from 3 years ago.
It's been in England in 15 years, and it's the last place I stayed in London after driving around from Edinburgh with my wife.
I still remember that the staff were so friendly from check-in to check-out.
The outside view from the room was pretty,
The location was no problem at all, I remember that there were many pizzerias and supermarkets next to it.

(Translated) I was worried about the poor public security near Shoreditch and White Chapel, but I got along well. It's nice to have Tesco nearby... I think you can think of it as a Korean officetel.
Cleaning and towel replacement are not performed every day like a hotel. As for the amenities, shampoo, rinse, soap is supplied, but there is no toothbrush! You can also eat breakfast on the 2nd floor, with a 15% discount for guests. It's not very tasty, but it's just okay...
*Amenities, tea bags, coffee bags, etc. are given as needed upon request at the reception.
*Well! You can use it by mirroring your TV and smartphone.

(Translated) Very very comfortable and beautiful. I have everything I need to go home. I thought I wanted to live like this.
In fact, I was afraid that the eastern part of London might be a bit scary, but recently it has been developed a lot and there are lots of startup companies? It's the same. So there was quite a young and hip cafe around.

Port Bridge, City of London, etc. are well located, but it's a bit too far from Heathrow Airport. If you plan to stay in the short term, it is better to go somewhere else. The restaurant below is fine. (The breakfast was good.)

(Translated) I stayed in London for two days. Staff service, room interior, interior and so on were really perfect. There was also a washing machine, iron, kitchen (dish washer), and it was a perfect hotel for a long time traveler. Free water and milk are not even refrigerated! I would like to use it again if I go to London.

(Translated) Superb establishment.
We were on the 15th floor, the view is impressive!
No noise nuisance to declare, either from outside or in the corridors we were not woken up by noise.
The staff are always cheerful, always available and attentive to the customer. Whether at the reception, in the bar or in the restaurant, we have always been treated like royalty!
The location is perfect, we did everything by bike (self-service bike, stations are all over London and there are 2 at 100 meters from the hotel)
- towerbrige 10min by bike
- london eyes / bigben 20min by bike
- regent street / oxford street 20min by bike
- camden town 30min by bike
- palace of the queen 30min by bike
Etc ....
I recommend this establishment with my eyes closed and I will come back without hesitation.
