Reviews of Maranton House Hotel
Lovely little place with a wonderful staff. The room was very clean, except for a bit of dust above the headboard. The bathroom is updated and very nice. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for being central in London. You are a two minute walk to a tube station and surrounded by good restaurants and stores.
Quirky rooms that don't get very dark. It is just down the street from Earl's Court tube stop but there are several hotels on the same road that looked nicer.
Decent and well located in a zone with a lot of pubs. Lovely zone
Comfortable, clean, friendly staff. The shower was nice, too!
this hotel offers affordable and convenient single rooms.
I like the hotel, but the staff even more.
Hopefully one day I will be back.
A small, a bit old very well located two star hotel
Old hotel with charm
Nice room, friendly staff. Location is top
Location, Location, Location..worn but clean, a basic roof over your head in keeping with the cost.
Nice and cosy. Great location. Near the Underground.
What a find! Where can you get such good accommodation in west London at this price? Okay so the decor could do with a refresh and you need to be fit if your room is on the top floor but you will not be disappointed when you reach your room and the staff are very friendly. Highly recommended
Cozy room and very friendly staff
lovely hotel, good location 2016/08/01
Nice
Nice location.
Amazing staff
The room is decorated in an old-fashioned way, the furniture is old, the bed is not new. However, everything remains comfortable. There was no breakfast offered due to sanitary conditions. Although not physically present, the staff members are extremely accommodating and flexible with arrival and departure times and very quick to respond to messages by email.
A little refresh in the bathroom or the curtains. But that remains a detail. The walls are poorly soundproofed.
After reading the more than mixed reviews on this hotel, we still took the risk of staying there.
First of all, the staff was really nice to us. Despite the language barrier, we still managed to communicate with them without any problem.
The room was very clean, turquoise colored sheets and curtains overlooking the pretty square. Wednesday evening, we were treated to a little entertainment in the street. However, the street is quiet, and several hotels follow one another.
Breakfast was more than adequate; a basket including toast, croissants and a plate with cheeses, hams and jams.
Overall, we really enjoyed our little stay despite perhaps being on the top floor without an elevator.
Very nice and very helpful staff. Great location, our room was clean, tidy and well-kept. The rooms are small. Since we left in the morning and returned in the evening, the standard of the room was more than adequate. We are equipped with a kettle, two hairdryers, TV and telephone. There is tea, of course. Towels are changed daily. I definitely recommend it.
An aging house. There is a backlog of renovations. Room sufficient for two. Breakfast for 6 pounds is out of the question, not recommended. The lady at reception was extremely nice and helpful. Coffee and tea were always in the room. Ours even had a small refrigerator.
A guesthouse, more than a hotel. Very quiet, facing a private garden. The rooms are old, with high ceilings, and the floors creak, despite the (too) old carpet. The bathroom/toilet a little dated, but large. Some smells come out of a hole in its floor, it's better to close the door at night.
The price-quality ratio is very good. Located 300 m from the very commercial Earl'sCourt Street (all shops open very early and late in the evening) and its metro, very well served (Picadilly and District lines).
The continental breakfast (French) has not been tested, but around the corner, the Blackbird pub offers an English breakfast from 8 a.m. for £10 (+ drinks).
I highly recommend this quiet and inexpensive hotel.
The hotel staff were friendly and polite. We always found someone manning reception when we wanted assistance. The prices were excellent for such central location which was only 200 m from the tube station. Our room needed updating as it was quite old fashioned but everything we needed was there. A handy spot for a short stay.
It's absolutely perfect for sleeping! If you're on vacation and just need a place to sleep, it's absolutely ideal! The hotel is in the best location, right between Notting Hill and Kensington. The subway is about 100m straight ahead (Earls Curt) from the hotel and after three stops you are in the middle of the cake! If you want to travel cheaply and would like to eat out, the Marantonhouse Hotel is the perfect choice!
Despite the bad reviews given by other travelers we were well received and the room was correct and clean. we received a room that seemed redone even if we had a wonderbox.
A bit old, but spacious and clean
The shower booth in the bathroom is small.
The first floor is the front and the rooms are in the basement or second floor.
People with large carriers should take note.
(Translated) It is a classic English hotel. The location is safe near the metro and many shops.
For two to three nights it is fine.
· The water had no pressure in one room.
The many stairs to the rooms.

(Translated) Quiet hostel, in a charming area of London, very well located, next to a metro station and with lots of shops and restaurants of all kinds.

Hostal tranquilo, en una zona de Londres con encanto, muy bien situado, al lado de una parada de metro y con un montón de tiendas y restaurantes de todo tipo.
Cute, excellent location very close to the metro, it's fine for a short holiday
Cozy room, modern bathroom, slightly old structure but overall comfortable and welcoming
Good hotel. Welcoming, fast and understanding service.
Friendly and helpful staff
Stunning area, very close to the metro
I'll be back again!
Very attentive. Excellent location, despite the stairs.
What a nice and comfortable place this is !
When my kids were almost grown-up, I slightly broken my neck and felt like visiting the UK .
I knew this hotel occasionally and stayed with much satisfaction.
Since the visit , I have been to the UK four times. But I always book a room of this hotel before buying a ticket to Heathrow.
The staffs are very very warm.
Good location near Earls Court, good value for money, breakfast not included.
A very well located hotel that I recommend given the price.
The service is good, the rooms are old.
(Translated) Wonderful hotel! Congratulations to the team!

Hotel maravilhoso! Parabéns à equipe!
Not beautiful but great location
Optimal
Excellent location in London
Central and normal
I stayed there 2 nights and I found the service pretty good and the room quite clean, a bit tiny though. Breakfast is ok and the reception service closes around 11:30 pm so they leave you the keys of the main door. It's really close to Earls Court Underground Station so it's pretty easy to get anywhere from there.
A great little hotel run by a good friend. Excellent rooms, nice and quiet and in a good central location. Stayed many times and always good.
Charming hotel! Clean and interesting architect and decor. ONLY downfall was the bathroom door didn't latch. Small detail though-- didn't detract from our stay!
Big picture: very affordable hotel in Kensington area. 200 meters from Earl's Court Station, that is great because you can take a train to Heathrow for less than 5 pounds from there. Also close to Natural Science and Science museums.
Reality: accomodations are basic, there is no "lift" and you will have to carry your bags through a narrow space to get to your room.
The best: staff is great. Dan even provided me with an extension cord to use my CPAP machine because the electricity outlet was on the opposite side of the bed. Thanks Dan! You saved me.
Very nice hotel, and everything is near there. Around 5min.
So Many shops and restaurants.
not the best wifi at the last floor. and no elevator. the breakfast was great and we talk a lot with some other guests. all were very frendly
