The room was very clean and comfortable. Everything was as I expected and I was delighted with the place. The staff was very very helpful and friendly. The location is very close to several tube lines. Many nice coffee shops and pubs nearby. I intend to stay here in my next visit to London.

Booked a stay recently here and was a good clean room Went for the King bedroom which was on the third floor On arrival which was just after 1.00pm we were told are room was not ready until 3.00pm ... We said we were tired so would wait in reception area .... Next was a change of receptionist... Five minutes later a couple turned up booked in and went straight to their rooms ...another five minutes and another couple turned up and I then heard him say to the couple yes you can check in as there are plenty of king rooms available.... I then asked him why were we told we had to wait till three pm ? He said I do not know you should have been able to go straight to your room .... So anyone getting the same treatment ask why can't I go to my room ...

The location of the hotel is perfect, best thing about it, its about 5mins from Paddington Station, with shops and restaurants around it. The service here is pretty good. The staff are polite and helpful. I went in January and coming from 32°c weather to winter, I was freezing, they couldn't get me another heater (temp controlled heating/AC in the rooms) they happily got me another blanket for the cold. They were happy to help with any complaints I had and the rooms were comfortable and mostly clean. I say mostly because there was usually soap scum in the same place in the shower even after being cleaned several times. The rooms are quite small though, I stayed alone in the King standard and I'm pretty sure if we were two, it would have been a tight fit. There was extra storage under the bed which was useful. They also kept water and tea items stocked in the room. There's a bar downstairs but never tried it. The hotel doesn't have its own restaurant, instead it's attached to the Bella Italia restaurant located next to it, you can walk in through the hotel or its main door. I paid for breakfast but wouldn't advice it. Their menu is quite limited. Will review it on their page.

Great location in a lovely quiet square, but great transport links too through the other side of the hotel or through the restaurant. Near Paddington. Also near Hyde Park/Marble Arch. Couldn't fault the service, staff very helpful. Was fortunate to receive a surprise upgrade to a small suite on arrival which was absolutely lovely. Plenty of sockets and usb ports by the bed and there's an Alexa in the room you can use to access all kinds of hotel services. Huge TV, a room safe, decent hairdryer, iron and ironing board, good size wardrobe storage and complimentary tea/coffee/bottled water. Nice selection of toiletries and the bath towels were the biggest and thickest hotel towels I have ever had by far. If you need any supplies, there's a good local shop, which is open late night, on the main road a couple of doors down from the restaurant and partner hotel (the other side of the hotel on the main road is called Hotel Indigo). Cost about £13 to get to the hotel in a taxi from Euston Station but you could easily travel on the tube if you wanted. Breakfast is at Bella Italia restaurant which is attached to the hotel and was very good, lots of choice.

Hotel is in a strange area with many people milling about at night or huddled in doorways. It didn’t feel very safe when walking to and from the hotel. Staff were helpful to switch me to a different room when I asked not to be in the small basement room with zero cell reception. The room I was transferred to was not very clean. The walls had dirt spots and scuffs all over it. There was a big section of water damage as well that was very unsightly. There was dust in any corner where dust might gather. Sheets and towels were clean. Staff were polite, but rather clueless. Requests for an occasional plate or extra pillow brought to be brought to the room were met with much confusion. Would not stay here again, especially for the price per night.

Very friendly staff, well decorated inside. Very comfortable bed and nicely furnished room. Not the largest rooms, but then it's a great location in central London so you can't expect huge rooms! Easily walkable to Hyde Park and Oxford Street. Only 1 star off 5 because of the atmosphere outside from people hanging around neighbouring properties - not something that's the fault of the hotel, but a factor nonetheless.

Very nice, clean hotel close to Lancaster Gate tube station. The restaurant, Bella Italia that is attached to it is outstanding with professional, friendly staff. Not overpriced either!

The rooms are small but clean and have everything you need. They don't provide dressing gowns and slippers as advertised and although there is a mini fridge with water there isn't a mini bar as advertised either. Location is perfect for access to all tourist hotspots. The staff are very friendly and accommodating especially on reception. The only negative was how under staffed they are at breakfast time. They all work very hard but you have to wait quite a while to get your breakfast. It would be better if they made it a buffet style.

Now our preferred choice for Paddington-area hotels, and a very short walk from the station. Refurbished in 2016, the rooms are small but extremely well-appointed (we appreciated the USB ports and a great shower.) Staff were very competent and helpful, and were happy to help arrange a cab for our departure. We'll be back.

Amazing little gem in a beautiful garden square just around the corner from Paddington Station. Enjoyed sunny walks through Hyde Park and into London's West End. The rooms were cosy with everything we needed and the staff was so friendly we felt sad to leave. We will definitely be back soon!

Lovely hotel, very close to Hyde Park and in walking distance of Paddington, wonderful and friendly staff who really can't do enough to help! The rooms are lovely and so clean, bathroom in the rooms are amazing, my partner wanted to take the shower home 😂, what a gem of a place with diamonds for staff, from the managers, to receptionists to the cleaners, you're all very lovely people! Thank you to all of you amazing people in the hotel and the restaurant you made our stay fabulous and we will DEFINITELY be back!!

Fairly nice but some flaws that bring it down hard. The rooms are smallish and cramped but that is fair enough because its central London - however some parts of the room were not cleaned / refilled. No fresh hot drink stuff (overheard another customer complaining about this too) and there were old shower gels left from the last people. Decor was very nice. The worst issue is probably the staff - the main front desk staff that we dealt with just generally felt inexperienced (though they were nice) - we had our rooms wrong first, they said they couldn't open the gym because people were in it ( even though it was empty) and generally was not up to par compared to other hotels I've been to. Location is top notch, right next to Paddington, so if you're here for business it's bang on. But for leisure? Not so much.

Good, basic hotel really near Paddington and thus handy for a large part of London. On street parking was easy to get, staff were very friendly and helpful, and hotel as a whole was well presented. Room was clean and comfortable enough, although the coffee pods hadn't been topped up, which was a pity, not a major drawback! Breakfast was well cooked and presented, if a tad on the light side. Can't really argue with the prices and location though.

Hotel was clean and perfect location. Room was nicely decorated but on the small side. Downfall was the cleaners knocked on our door at 8.30am to see if they could get into clean. Not the hotels fault but we didn’t sleep very well so the last thing we wanted was to be woken up, the cleaners then again knocked at around 9.30 then again at 10. I think it’s unfair to feel pressured when you have paid for the hotel to be disturbed. Especially when check out is at 12. And could maybe understand if it was a little earlier like 11 as I’m sure they are under pressure to get all the rooms clean. But to be woken up at 8.30 feels unfair especially when you have paid for the room.

Nicely renovated hotel close to Paddington Station and a short walk from Hyde Park. Clean rooms, rather to the small side, but sufficient with comfortable beds and modern bathrooms and noise cancelling windows. Staff at the reception is always very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was a bit disappointing: menu small, quality low, drinks ok(no draught beer). Nice touch: they switched on the infrared heating , because due to covid they have to serve guests in the outside/curbside area. I prefer this Mercure Hotel for my business trips because it's conveniently situated, clean,quiet and the rooms are larger than most offered in London.

Had a delightful check in experience with Lourdes this morning which set the tone for our 1 night stay, she exceeded my expectations, couldnt have made it better or more seamless. Also enjoyed the food and drinks at the restaurant London St Brasserie, which is a great place to kick back from an outdoor table and people watch, service and waitstaff excellent. Room is clean, modern very comfortable with a little outdoor area, espresso machine, comp water and juices chilled in the refrigerator. Loved the rain head shower too. If only we were staying longer. Overall great value for money. Highly recommend staying here.

The Hotel is very cute. Eventhough its rooms are quite small, but it's cozy enough to stay in. The hotel front desk's staffs are also friendly, and welcoming guests with warm greetings, and full of help as well. However, there'is one thing, that in my personal opinion, should be taken care off a.s.a.p., that will be the noise from the floor-crakcing from room's above. It was really disturbing and annoying at the same time while you're sleeping.

Alex the manager ensured my stay was comfortable and Otativla made me a wonderful breakfast every morning. The room was really spacious and clean. The hotel is conveniently located nearby paddington station - making it easier to commute around the city and back to Heathrow! Was actually staying in an excellent apartment suite opposite! But popped in for coffee and to meet friends who were staying. Lovely decor and great service but every facet of the hotel is tiny. I appreciate it is Paddington but we paid less than half for a room three times the size, with kitchen and sofa etc. Friends who stayed at the Mercure felt they had lost out!

Basic 4 star Mercure hotel - comfortable (albeit somewhat small) rooms, decent breakfast, nice location! Only downside was the huge pile of rubbish outside the hotel. Would definetely stay here again.

Stayed in the Superior Twin room. 236sqft is big for London and it felt more than roomy for us. Unfortunately the larger twin rooms only look out the back so no views of Talbot Gardens. Overall we had an excellent experience.

The Mercure is in a nice location and the staff are really friendly . There are some decent restaurants dotted nearby and the tube station is within a 5 min walk. Alas I have one major gripe, "the rooms are made for very small people" akin to Snow Whites companions. On the flip side all the hotel facilities including the bedrooms are immaculate. Got a room with view to park instead. Breakfast is buffet plus order e.g. pancake full English breakfast. It’s the second time I’m visiting Mercure Hyde Park hotel and for the second time it’s been a very pleasurable stay. I’ve also got to stay in the same room as before - 605 - which was surprisingly nice as well. Upon my arrival the room was pleasantly cold with the AC running; just what I needed after a long journey. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Will certainly visit again when I happen to be staying in this area of London!

It's got small but well-appointed rooms. The mirror in the bathroom gets alarmingly hot when the light's left on. The walls are a bit thin... The rather enthusiastic couple on the 4th floor were audible from two doors down. Breakfast was tasty. In the event of a zombie apocalypse, this is a terrible location. Central London will be a charnel house. Flee to the country! Also, the bar closed way too early.

This is a place to stay when you are in London, 7 minutes away from Paddington station, many restaurants around it and quite central to many attractions. Staffs are friendly and they also let you use the cell phone in the room during your stay that's loaded with GPS.
