We stopped here for a long weekend while visiting London. The hotel is in an excellent location and only a short walk to the nearest tube station.
It's roughly a £20 taxi journey from King's Cross Station.
The hotel itself was clean and the staff were excellent.
Morning breakfast was excellent with a wide range of foods available from full English to cereals or toast/ French bread croissant etc.
Would highly recommend.

Beautiful and well maintained hotel. Exceptional service. Breakfast was very good and food at the restaurant was also very good, albeit a bit expensive. The only slight caveat was that room 529 was a bit small for 4 people.
G. H.
The hotel was fabulous. The staff were helpful, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was gorgeous. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

I love it here. staff are great good sized rooms for Lomdon. Quite why they call it London Bridge when it's on Southwark is beyond me. Borough right by it with great food and bars. Their own bar is also great with lovely, attentive service.

Absolutely loved our stay here. We checked in at 12:30 Saturday afternoon very swiftly, fortunately not being asked to pay an early check in fee as our room was already prepared. We had also been upgraded to an impecabley well presented Executive Suite with great shower, big TV and view of the Gherkin and Walkie Talkie buildings from room 627.
The hotel was a short walk to Borough Market for some lunch. Later on evening we had a drink in the bar where the Choco Martini is as good as Coco Pops.
The following morning we had a lovely breakfast including a full English, pancakes and waffles, and later taking coffees in "to go" cups to prepare us for the rest of our day.
All the staff were attentive and helpful and the facilities and location great. We would definitely stay here again.
10/10.
Thank you. 😊

Great location, friendly staff and nice room. The poor aspects were that the TV casting in the room didn't work, we asked the staff twice for help but no one showed up. The steam room was out of order, and the sauna wasn't even warm to break a sweat.

Fantastic place to stay. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable.
Would definitely stay there again.

The rooms are very clean and the staff are very friendly. They welcome you with a smile. The location is perfect. Many bus stops around the hotel.

Very welcoming staff, professional receptionist, lovely room, tasty breakfast.
Good lunch and dinner, tasty cocktails, relaxing atmosphere.Very central. Good value for money.

Great location- a few minutes walk to Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre &the buzzing atmosphere along the river. Very friendly & helpful staff. Loved the film set decor throughout. Room was very comfortable- small portions of tea, coffee & milk. Takeaway breakfast system worked well- Gluten Free well catered for. Would stay again.

Stayed in an executive room with two children under 5. Asked for a bath which was provided and a must for young children. We'll placed for a sight seeing weekend

We stayed here for two nights, it was fabulous a little out the way of central london but that’s what we wanted. The hotel staff were lovely especially Lillie the hostess with the mostess on the bar!

Clean, family friendly hotel which is in a great location. I booked 2 nights for my husbands 50th as it was a short walk from the Tube and Train Station. The staff were so friendly and helpful and on my husbands Birthday presented him with some cakes which was so thoughtful. The food was delicious too, we had breakfast and also ate in the bar area. Would definitely recommend.

This is my favourite hotel in London. It is a 5 minute walk from London Bridge tube station (Jubilee and Northern lines) and is close to Borough High Street and the food market there. The area has a lot of restaurants and you can walk along the South bank and see the sights eg the Tate Modern and the London Eye.
The staff at the hotel are so friendly and the rooms are quiet, light and spacious. Having a small fridge in the room is an excellent idea and prove to be very useful during a stay.
A particular asset to the Novotel team is Melissa on the front desk. She is so efficient and friendly and makes you feel very welcome. A great hotel in central London.

I stayed at the London Bridge Novotel for 7 nights, 2 private, 5 business. The hotel is ideal for couples to enjoy both inside the hotel and the locations nearby. The first day we received a room with a broken window but where quickly and conveniently moved to a room with an even better view 🙌.Unfortunately there was a misunderstanding about the costing of the laundry service however the calm and accomodating staff helped me come to a happy medium. The breakfast is phenomenal, made even better by Guillaume, the morning man, who explained everything beautifully and made it a great experience 👏. The saunas are also very good, however I would advise to check if they are on as it takes a while for the rooms to heat up. Overall I found it to be a mostly enjoyable experience and would recommend it for both business and personal stays.
C. I.
Fantastic hotel with exceptionally attentive staff and great food. Also best prices by a country mile in the area. Would have stayed again this weekend we enjoyed it so much but XR protests.in central London meant didn't fancy it with the kids in the end.

Stayed over New Year lovely hotel easy access to Millennium Bridge, Sr Paul's, Tower Bridge and the fantastic Borough Market

Myself and my work colleagues used this hotel this weekend whilst we performed our essential infrastructure work. The staff were superb and a credit to the hotel group. Anjilla and Isabel were great hosts, very polite and extremely helpful. There was another young girl who was equally as good, but I didn't catch her name. The rooms are so nice. Very comfy beds, room is the right temperature, lighting is great. Bathrooms are very clean too. Food is of a high standard. Well recommend.

Lovely, hotel,
My daughter and I had the best sleep. The staff was friendly, breakfast is beautiful and the room in which breakfast was served was clean and well organised.
m. m.
The room was very nice clean and well maintained. Reception Staff were very helpful especially Anjilla who always took time to speak to our 2 children and find out what they had been upto in the day and made us feel so welcome.
T. A.
Decent food -. Relaxed environment and ambiance. Although service was a bit sloppy (no plates for sharing starters , no napkins etc).
A. J.
Nice sandwiches and food arrived quick. Could be better if there were more sandwiches or bigger because they cut it so small
N. H.
Well located, good customer service, nice breakfast which is good value for family of four, rooms are well presented. Maybe a little pricey when compared to budget hotels but still reasonable value
M. M.
Very professionally run. Still encouraging social distancing. Nicely designed interiors. Helpful, engaging staff. Hope to see it back to its normal services, soon.
K. B.
Great hotel. The staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough for us or the children. Highly recommended
J. R.
Good breakfast. Great location. 10/10

Lovely tea for 2. Good variety and nice lounge area.

Great hotel in a great location , literally 5 minutes walk to Borough Market, and London Bridge tube station . Would definitely come back

This was our first time staying at a Novotel hotel and we were left with the upmost positive impressions. We only ever met one person who my daughter, wife and I would agree was the face of the hotel. Anjilla at the front desk was most welcoming, friendly, informative staff we have ever met at a hotel reception desk. We wish all others to take note from her! 10/10
The hotel is situated on Southwark walking distance from borough market and London underground station. (You can see the shard your entire walk to these places) There is a bus route outside the hotel if you wish to take a road journey towards Waterloo and London eye.
We booked a superior room but upon check-in were given an executive room without asking (Bonus points!)
The room is a little smaller than other international hotels we have stayed in but was modern, very clean and fresh. The room included a coffee machine, kettle, hairdryer, 55 inch LED TV with inputs (scary, HDMI, usb, Bluetooth) double bed, double sofa bed, shower bath with privacy screen (daughter could get enough playing with this) LED lighting through out.
Sleeping in the room was peaceful, could not hear much road traffic (Saturday night) even though we were situated facing the main road on the third floor.
Parking is available at the sister hotel next door at £25 per 24 hours. We opted parking at Westfield a little further out which was much cheaper at £15 per 24 hours.
Check out was simple and was even offered a late checkout. Luggage can be stored behind the desk and collected later.
We really enjoyed our stay here and will be doing so again in the future.

The worst Novotel in London. I would rather pick the Novotel Tower Bridge.
This Novotel has a dirty rooms (we got an executive one), fungus on the wall behind the curtain stains, dirty bed sheet with bloody stains.
Big plus for the staff and localisation.
S. L.
Loved our stay here. 5 stars.
C. g.
Lovely hotel an staff an great location, it the first time here, definitely be back again soon.
D. W.
Absolutely no complaints to be made on our stay here at all.
Very polite and courteous staff.
Very clean and tidy room.
Loved it

Stylish, relaxing hotel, with friendly helpful staff. Great location & ease of access.
D. K.
Nice hotel good breakfast very happy stay.
L. O.
Really did like it here, the price was good, how good the staff and the food was. Will definitely be using again.

I really liked this hotel. Lovely room, including a proper coffee pod machine, safe etc. Excellent breakfast, nice bar area. Very helpful and friendly staff. Ideal location, handy for Borough market eateries and easy to get to all the galleries and museums
J. L.
Nice comfortable hotel suitable for business travellers. Close to the Shard and Southwark theatre.
S. T.
Very nice hotel close to the famous Borough Market. The hotel is stylish with a lively bar restaurant in the ground floor. The lobby and breakfast areas are also very chic and modern. The rooms are similarly updated but also very comfortable. Our room had separate toilet, shower areas and the sink area was open in the middle of the room. The stylish sofa was very comfortable.
N. B.
Really nice hotel in a fantastic location. Friendly and helpful staff, nice rooms, nice bar, loads to do and see very close by.
V. R.
Please note much or most of the photo gallery here on Google is very dated and the hotel looks much better and modern, yet warm and cozy (feeling like at home). It is a relly nice and comfortable hotel. Rooms feel superb, spacious and well organised. The breakfast offers wide variety from full English to continental including various gluten-free options. Being mislead by the gallery I didn't expect much, but the hotel is just great. There is some noise from the bathroom ceiling ventilation system (from the building guts/pipes) but it is fine if you keep the bathroom door shut for night, which is the only negative remark I can think of.
J. H.
Great overnight stay at this very friendly, comfortable hotel. Woukd love to stay there again sometime in the future
M. A.
Lovely hotel and staff especially MARIA at the reception desk. She is such a helpful and cheerful person. I liked my stay in here, rooms are spacious with clean beddings. Bathrooms are greatly sized and clean. Breakfast was good but I expected more varieties. In general, it was a pleasant stay!
J. t. H.
What a great time we had with Anjilla, she has been a fabulous host to us. Well recommend to visit this hotel, even it's just for a drink at the bar.
A. D.
Good meeting venue with friendly team and tasty lunch
T. P.
I have not a single complaint. We stayed here for 4 nights. The room was clean, spacious even though we had two large beds (no idea why).
Breakfast while busy so a few minutes wait to get seated had a great selection and staff were friendly.
The wifi is great, can watch videos without issue. The privacy screen in the bathroom is a fun feature.
R. C.
Nice Hotel, close vicinity to all the London Bridge Landmarks including the Shard. Friendly staff and clean room with a nice bathroom suite. Only point of improvement complementary bottled water would have been nice in the room.
T. S.
Lovely modern and relaxed hotel close to the river. Our room was really nice with comfortable bed and super bathroom. The reception area was great and the hotel has a late bar and restaurant facilities. Breakfast was really good and the coffee was excellent! The staff were very helpful and all very nice. I’d definitely stay again.
R. C.
The hotel staff is amazing. My family and I arrived a few hours earlier than the check-in time, so there was no rooms available. But in the meantime, the hotel crew was very kind supporting us to store our luggage, preparing some coffee, providing water and fruits to making us to feel comfortable. The room are also excellent and all good serviced in the hotel is high quality!
D. S.
Comfy. Attentive staff. Great breakfast. Room facilities, coffee, water, ironing and hairdryer all included. Even a mini Bluetooth speaker.
A. G.
Amazing hotel, staff were lovely and the person behind the desk said she would have upgraded our room if they weren't fully booked! Great services such as a WhatsApp page to ask for help/ food etc. Also the bed was great to sleep on. Cheap room bit got a lot of potential out of it. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
N. A. S. (.
Super quiet in rooms.
Staff extremely welcoming and made the COVID-19 restrictions bearable.
Look forward to staying for fun and not work soon.

Fantastic staff! Had a friendly welcome after a long day of travelling with two small children. Kids were given some little toys which they were thrilled with. The room itself was basic, modern and clean. Water provided in the fridge which was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast was delicious, great choice of food and staff couldn't help enough. Perfect base for getting out to explore the city and we really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay again!
B. D.
Very good coffee, lovely staff in the restaurant
A. K.
Clean comfortable rooms, only niggly bit is the size of the tv. And the available channels. Doesn't seem to have payperview, but maybe I wasn't looking in the right place. And anyway don't really have time for watching a movie anyway. Breakfast is good and has a nice spread assortment. Staff is friendly and helpful. If you use the online checkin that gets you in and out faster and the invoice follows via email, nicely environmental.

I was worried about booking this hotel as it was my first trip to London. However the executive premium room was a nice size. Breakfast was included and the bacon was delicious. Nice selection of foods. Check in was easy and they have also have a nice bar. Highly recommend. It is about a 45 minute ride from Heathrow and 15 minute drive to Central London.
J. M.
Excellent location, very close to Borough Marketing when you have a wide variety of food.
r.
We had a 2 night stay for our wedding with both families staying. Rooms all booked at the same time, but different rates then charged for same rooms, however this was easily rectified.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Great choice for breakfast and the pancake maker was a nice touch, be prepared to queue for this, the evening Buffett was a little disappointing not enough of each for us all to have 1 of a dish.
All areas clean and made for a great stay
G. s.
We went for afternoon tea and it was great the staff were so helpful and friendly. The food was lovely especially the carrot cake.
k. j.
Thank you so much for a fantastic weekend stay. Our early check in was online and the room was ready.
Your staff members were delightful and very helpful. The hotel is immaculately clean ,the rooms also and very hi-tech, ie lcd bathroom wall. breakfast was brilliant and plentiful.
All in all a wonderful stay, didn't want to leave and our next visit to the city will include a visit to London City South.
Loved the laid back feel to the hotel , it is a credit to you all.

We found the Hotel very clean, modern decor, comfortable rooms. The staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. We thought breakfast on the Saturday was very well organised, efficient, lovely choice of food. By contrast on Sunday we found lots of the hot food items had run out and were told they wouldn't be replaced, also a much depleted selection of cold items, we were surprised as there was still 45 mins of breakfast to run. We would have hoped for the same excellent breakfast service and at a cost of approx £16 per person found this very poor value for money and not the usual high Novotel standard.
b. G.
Nice modern room. The staff were excellent, very polite from bar staff, reception and housekeeping. All very informative and helpful.
The location of this hotel was excellent for the major attractions and tube stations.
In a room with lots of modern technology I was surprised not to find a soft close toilet seat, given everything else seemed well thought out.
V. P.
First let me compliment the staff. They are very courteous and friendly.
Standard check in and check-out are a bit to slower that I would like. Room cleanliness was excellent but eating utensils in restaurant were a bit sticky even though they looked clean. Still, I liked the food. The closet is too small (hangers prevent doors from closing) and bathroom pipes are retaining water. Shower has a bit too small pressure. WiFi is not stable enough for gaming. Wired internet access would be appreciated.
G. C.
Well located and very quite hotel, nearby several interesting spots to visit. Good breakfast (even if a little bit monotone). However, they have a wide range of options for gluten-free breakfast. Borough market worths a visit! Good wi-fi and the TV has a separate front panel to which you can connect USB, RGB or HDMI cables/devices (we used our iPad for see movies with Prime Video)
The room was comfortable but a little bit tight for four people. We asked the room cleaners not to remove the card for allow us keep the iPad under charge; every day they removed the card that keep the electricity ON.
A. M.
Check In Service at Reception was warm & enthusiastic even though we did not get an early check in as requested since the hotel was full, we were well treated and given access to the gym to freshen up. Rooms were very quiet, cleaned professionally, and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast Room was spotless, there was lots of variety as well as delicious and the service was attentive and friendly, Check out was very quick and taxi to the airport was well coordinated. Lovely stay.
m. w.
Lovely little place, service was warm and welcoming, nice and clean, food was lovely. Recommended

Stayed over for the marathon with the family, the rooms were very comfortable and ours had a great view as below. The staff were great with a few strange requests to help us prep for the marathon. Our breakfast was also great and the kids loved the pancake machine! Would recommend as a great hotel in a good location.

The best hotel I've ever stayed at. The staff are so polite I felt like I was VIP. The check in and check out were so quick. The room was so luxurious. There was a fridge equipped with water and milk for the coffee. The bed was very comfortable and they had pillows which felt great for my back. The bathroom was the best place. I love the colour scheme and the shower was so amazing. Also, we had a great view of London. In the middle so it was easy to get to places. I would definitely stay here again, wish I tried the breakfast but next time!
F. K.
Such a warm welcome and atmosphere. The manager John was very helpful and friendly with all our needs. (Also a very sharp dresser) The service was amazing and the rooms were great aswell. I enjoyed my stay and would reccomend this hotel to anyone either visiting from outside of london or someone who's from here!
J. W.
The room was really nice. A really decent size, and clean to the highest standard.
We ordered room service breakfast on the first morning and it was the worst breakfast we have EVER had!
Truly disgusting.
The meat looked like a carcass. The eggs looked so strange, inedible.
My partners breakfast was the vegetarian option. She did not get away lightly! The vege sausages looked like they were cooked last week and re heated 5 times in between.
Mushrooms from a can were actually the nicest thing on the plate.
N. M.
Friendly and helpful staff. Nice, clean and very calm room. Tea and coffee facilities in the room as well as ironing. Hairdryer and safe box available in the room. I had forgotten the electricity adaptor but I could borrow one from the reception. There was a cocktail party going on on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the hotel. All staying guests were invited. I enjoyed the party.
L. Q.
The rooms were very clean and had everything we needed. All reception staff were extremely polite and helpful at all times. Breakfast was a little busy but we had everything we needed before going walking for 12 hours so I cant complain. Overall my experience was fantastic and I would visit again, as well as recommending the hotel to others.
j. N.
I really like this hotel , because first of all it is very near to some of the biggest attractions in London(walking distance) and the receptionists are very kind and accommodating, they can show you all the things that you can do nearby. And for it's price i think it's a really great deal , the rooms are okay nothing special about them but my only complain is the breakfast, beacouse in 4 days there was always the same food and it gets tiring. But besides that it is a very great hotel.
J. C.
I want to thank Anjilla Hashimi on reception who very kindly called a taxi for us at midnight one evening in December. She was very kind and a great ambassador for the hotel. We will stay there next time we visit Borough Market!
l.
Stayed here during the summer holidays for a weekend with my family. Room was spacious, with two double beds, a table and chair, a collection of shelves, a wardrobe and a bathroom area. Beds were comfy and the room was clean and central to London my only complaint to the room is that there was a glass wall that fogged up with the click of a button, but even when it fogged up you could still see an outline of what was going on in the bathroom. Had no problems getting taxis or going to breakfast, although the bacon was mostly fat, but this wasnt much of an issue. The staff were kind and took our bags when we came. Would reccomend this hotel to anyone staying in London.
K.
We had a lovely nights stay here for a birthday day in london. The room was lovely with a free upgrade and muffins for the birthday girl which was a lovely extra (thank-you), had a view of the shard and room was excellent and quite no outside noise. Loved that you could check out at 12 which gave us time to have breakfast and go back to the room to pack up and refresh. The only little downfall was breakfast the there was so much choice but for me personally the cooked breakfast could have been a little better for example the bacon could have been cooked a little longer and maybe have regular sausages as well as the cumberland. However that is just personal choice. Overall a Great stay at the Novotel London South would definately stay again.
J. H.
Lovely hotel, nice breakfast
M. i. O.
Best Novotel that I've ever stayed in! I was surprised at the spacious rooms considering the downtown location. Ample tourist sites within walking distance. Friendly, hard working staff who kept rooms and floors clean even during busy breakfast rush hours. Clean dishes and cutlery. Some staff don't have the best command of English but they were all helpful. I'll stay here again on future visits to London.
T. A. G.
We enjoyed our time in London Novotel City South very much. The hotel personnel was very helpful and profesional. The room was very clean and modern. Hotel premises and breakfast area had contemporary desingn and were clean and friendly. The buffet breakfast was adequate in quality and quantity. We would definately recommend this hotel for anyone who plans a short visit to London.
S. F.
The hotel is easy to find - we went by bus RV1 from Waterloo and it stops right outside in about 15 mins. The room was modern, the bed was comfy and it had a lovely bathroom .A mirror over the table would be a good idea as it was very difficult to do your hair at the other end of the room where the mirror is! Friendly and helpful staff made the stay enjoyable. I have stayed here before and would definitely stay again.
M. T.
It's closer to 3.5 stars but I'm feeling generous today so I'll round up.
Stayed for one night at this Novotel location. We arrived at around 12:30 in the afternoon. Our rooms weren't going to be available until 2, but they were able to store our luggage. We had just gotten off a 7-hour flight from NYC, so I really appreciated the fact that their lobby bathroom had enough room to accommodate four girls and their giant suitcases while we freshened up.
Since there were four of us, we decided to get two rooms. The rooms are clean and pretty spacious. The bathroom set up is a little weird. I'm still not sure if I loved it, or I hated it. The sink is right out in the open, the toilet is in it's own small room, and then there's the shower. It's efficient in the sense that one person could do their business, while the other is showering, but other than that, there really is no privacy. Also, the shower doors are those two way mirrors so if you accidentally stare too long, you could see everything. That being said, the room is probably better suited for couples.
2 of my favorite things:
1. Shower - the water pressure was great and it was just very easy to use
2. Outlets - these have been updated to include USB ports so if you're not from the UK, and you forgot an adapter, no problem.
Overall, I had a good experience. It's located about a 5 minute walk from borough market, and close-ish to the London Bridge/Tower Bridge. Big Ben, Westminster, and the London Eye will require the underground, but their train systems are pretty convenient so it wasn't an issue. For the right price, I would stay here again if I come back to London.

i went to Novotel London Bridge Hotel from october 31st to november 3rd, 2019. it was an exellent stay. The staff was available, kind, ready to solve any problem with a smile . Rooms very clean and confortable. The receptionists were extraordinary and professional, I remember over all Anjilla, very kind, but also Rossella, Martina and Iryna.
M. A.
As expected from a Novotel. Was a good value given the location, the quality and that it is London. But I also booked a bit early so I got a good rate. Wonderful staff, nice rooms though a bit small. They need to improve on the breakfast side. They need to change the layout of the buffet since it is a bit cramped. They also need to make more meet product options for non-pork eater. Cheap frequently broken pancake machine....not really what you want to see in a place like that.
D. D.
What an amazing hotel great facilities very modern looking, good gym. The staff are what makes this hotel. It was my son's birthday he has autism so struggles with situations like staying somewhere new. The staff were amazing with him, very patient and understanding of his needs. They even bought a plate of muffins and macaroons with a note saying happy birthday. You should be very proud of your staff they are a credit to your hotel. Will definitely be returning. X X

Beautiful place with beautiful rooms and the staff are very kind and helpful! Definitely coming back again and would recommend that everyone goes! Definitely a luxury experience for couples as well.
R. L.
Excellent service plus staff are so helpful and friendly.

Lovely room with view of Shard. Outstanding housekeeping cleaning room. We had superior premium room n asked for a quiet room which it was. Super gym sauna n steam room. Fridge in room with free water 😀 Amazing breakfast but don't eat in restaurant or bar reasonable price but poor quality... go instead to Black and Blue restaurant near Borough Market 5 min walk through back entrance of hotel. Also go to 11am choral Sunday service at Southwark Cathedral ⛪ it was AMAZING and you MUST hear Andrew Nunn preach... also other services in the week. Cathedral stunning inside with cafe with outside seating too in lovely surroundings.Amazing

Great location and lovely room! Great size room for Europe. A few complaints though, I've stayed in a lot of Novotels and always loved the breakfasts at them, however, this particular hotel was not the greatest breakfast. Good, just not great. Needs more selection and definitely more vegetarian options. Also the room I booked was for a queen bed and a sofa bed. I was staying with my mom and definitely did not want to share a bed with her and planned on sleeping on the sofa bed. Unfortunately it was not a sofa bed, it was just a futon-like sofa with no bedding or anything. It was definitely nothing I nor anyone could have slept on. Definitely disappointing in how it was advertised. So had to share a bed with my mom. :( At least it was only for one night! Had it been longer I would have complained, I didn't bring it to the attention of the staff for that reason.
R. H.
A great stay with a clean and spacious room with plugs by the bed- only taken 1 mark off as the shower leaked into the bathroom meaning I had to keep it on very low and put towels down to stop the water flooding into the bedroom.
Friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel and quick service in the bar and restaurant.
N. M.
Excellent sized suite room. Very comfortable and spacious. Room was quiet despite being next to a main road. Check in was simple and efficient. Breakfast buffet had a great range of food and drink. Would definitely stay here again.
J. T.
There was a very warm welcome. Our room was wonderfully clean and the bathroom looked almost new. Bed very comfortable. The breakfast the following morning was good but not all that hot and a bit greasy but I would still visit again.
A. A.
Close to public transport and many other tourist places. The hotel is a standard Novotel hotel so you can expect the same level of service and comfort as you would expect from any other Novotel! The carpets in the room definitely need a change and the breakfast could be better if have more options.
D. H.
This was a family vacation with a toddler. It worked well, but I regret that the location wasn't a little closer to the Tube. Being close to London Bridge station, you get good access to Gatwick.
The room was clean, modern, and well-kept. I would've liked the A/C to be a bit stronger.
I'd recommend this hotel for adults wanting to be close to Borough Market. It's a good place for foodies, as there are many good restaurants in the area. Not much nearby for big chain American restaurants.
A. O.
I booked at the last minute, due to feeling unwell at work. It was very expensive - but this was understandable when most London hotels were full. The staff at reception could not have been more helpful and friendly. My room was great - clean, spacious, comfortable, well-equipped and with great views. Sadly, illness meant I did not use the hotel's facilities - but I could see they were well above average. I thought breakfast was adequate, but poor value for money. Checkout quick and efficient and a taxi was secured for me with minimum fuss and maximum efficiency.

We stayed for 4 nights over christmas. The location was convenient that we could take a walk to millennium bridge along the river. The room and breakfast were okay.
Minus points:
1. The room was not cleaned for 2 days until 6 p.m. when we came back.
2. The manner of speaking from front desk staff(man) was impolite.
M. W.
Nice hotel. Very clean. Everything to a good standard. Staff all very keen to help in any way they can. Gym and pool on site. Nicely fitted rooms, comfy bed and niche bathroom design. Location is good, 10 mins from London Bridge with plenty of places to eat and drink nearby and easy enough to explore.
K. R.
Very clean, attentive and helpful staff. The bathroom is spacious and the shower has a rainfall head. The breakfast at the attached restaurant has a nice variety and has a nice view of the Shard. Very convenient to Southwark and London Bridge stations and to the Borough Market. Bed is a bit stiff but ok for me. Would stay here again.

Held an event here today - recently refurbished and what a difference! Staff and facilities were excellent. Had a cheeky drink afterwards - great cocktail and gin menu. Plus Thursday', Friday & Saturday evenings they do live music & DJ sets. Well worth a visit .
D. W.
Everything except the room air conditioning was very good (I don't think the room went under 25C at any time) - though admittedly London was pretty hot at the time (27-28 degrees C day temps).
Staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good (even though there was near complete lack of vegetables).
The location near London Bridge is excellent for a tourist on foot or using public transport.
All in all I would visit again and would recommend this hotel.
K. W.
Stayed here for 4 days on training course. Wow. Would highly recommend, facilities were amazing, food was amazing. Probably the best lunch selection I've experienced. Evening drinks were good, music playing. Thanks.
G. D.
Novotel London City South, is well situated, a short walk from Cannon Street, Southwark or London Bridge Stations. On entering the hotel although generic is well laid out with clean lines. The staff are instantly attentive and helpful. I attended a one day course. The facilities were excellent. However the room was let down a little by tired decor and net curtains that blocked much of the natural light. Lunch was very good, three self serve courses but all of quality, smoked salmon, roast beef , salad, soup and fresh desserts. All in all venue i would recommend but perhaps only for one day. More than that and would the conference rooms would become oppressive.

A smart, clean room with a very comfortable bed made this a very relaxing stay. Thanks to the superbly welcoming, friendly and helpful staff we were checked in and out with supreme efficiency and had a fantastic view of The Shard from our fourth floor bedroom. All in all; excellent.
J. J.
This hotel is located very close to the city centre and quite close to the subway station. Facilities are very good and especially nice was a friendly welcome and efficient information received from receptionist Veronica. While the breakfasts were generally very good, I would appreciate more vegan and vegetarian options including fresh veggies (tomatoes, cucumbers, radishes- yes we do eat such terrible things for breakfast in mainland Europe :)
P. M.
Very nice stay overall. No major issues.
Breakfast area was busy at peak times and we had to wait 10 mins for a table. In addition, it would be better for the waitresses to bring tea / coffee to the tables, as the coffee machine is slow to dispense the drinks (there are frequent queues).
J. B.
I stayed with my family here and for four nights and really recommend this hotel. The standard room easily accommodates 2 adults and 2 kids and the bathroom has a good space as well. The room was very clean and the staff was really great. Can not complain at all.
P. M.
Well, the experience was not as good as I expected. The room service was very poor as they charge 5GBP for the room delivery( which I haven’t heard anywhere till now). The housekeeping is just average as they just tidied up the room, without even cleaning the used cups etc. No water in the fridge after the second day of arrival. And they even fell short of dental kits!! Worst part no one ever picked up a call, be it the room service or the housekeeping and at times even the reception. Considering my past experience at Novotel, totally unexpected and disappointing.
P. C.
Excellent services. Reception personnel was awesome. Room very clean and nice (even if I'm not really convinced by the new lay-out). Very good location. Would like to thank specifically Babaye and Warissi for their amazing work and help during this stay. they did a very good job!!
R. H.
Staying at the hotel for work. It was a last minute booking thereof it was quite expensive for what it is. Having said that, the staff is friendly and the facilities which I didn't get to use are many and wonderful. Plus points: - bedside power for charging phone - Bluetooth speakers to connect phone to - see through shower from room side (if you are into that sort of stuff plus you can obscure the view with a press of a button) - rooms seem soundproof enough (didn't hear anyone next door) - walkin shower The bad: - the bed is way too soft for me but that is a personal preference
S. C.
We had a great stay. Unfourtunately, it was the weekend of the Borough Market incident. The staff were fantastic. When we were evacuated from the hotel, I was in socks and shorts! One member of staff offered me his shoes, I'm disabled and have problems walking at the best of times. The staff on duty that weekend deserve nothing but my highest praise and thanks. We have already booked a return visit.

I was met by a very charming French receptionist who informed me perfectly about the facilities of the hotel and the room and the time for breakfast.
The room was only just refurbished and was a total delight to use. (With the exception of the shower door - I'm not sure how long that will last but I pulled the door firmly to close it and stop the water running all over the floor next to the sink). Everything you need was in the room, iron, ironing board, safe, NESPRESSO coffee machine - I love my coffee and if you cant get a bean to cup machine when travelling the next best thing is a Nespresso pod machine. The coffee was so nice.
I was at an evening function so didnt stay in for dinner. I was up for the next day early too so I only briefly had breakfast. May I say I dont know what it is about hotel scambled eggs but if you guys can make an improvement there - (in my view poached eggs to order) - then you have a winning breakfast in my book.

The Novotel London City South is in an excellent position to see the sights of London within walking distance of many sights and conveniently close to underground to venture further distances also had many restaurants close by. The room we stayed in for 6 nights was spacious modern clean and well serviced. All staff we uncounted were very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The surrounding area is a safe nice district. I will recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London.
Thank you for a wonderful stay.
M. K.
4 rooms for 7 people overnight.Cost the best part of £800.00. Began as it clearly meant to go on with members of our party arriving before I did to be told they could not access their rooms because I had not paid for them at that stage, only secured the booking with my card on the basis that if I arrived after 2pm my card would be charged for one night. This would be the night we were staying so I struggled to understand the concept of charging me anyway but not allowing my group access to their rooms.
The accessible room is not really accessible since it contains too much furniture. The bathroom is better although the glass shower door is very difficult to negotiate in a standard indoor/outdoor wheelchair. Could so be improved. The room was very clean and tidy.
The evening room service snack thing was truly disgusting. It must have come out of a packet and popped into a microwave. £11 for something I would not feed the dog at home. It was inedible and for the most part left on the plate.
The overpriced average breakfast at £32 for 2 would have been the final straw if it hadn't have been for the excessive car parking charge of £25 per vehicle for our overnight stay. Ahh its not our carpark the hotel cries but owned by the Accor group me wonders. But it's London....Yes of course that's what it is. Enter your capital city and be fleeced with overpriced everything and expect very little in return.
Finally I would just add that as always at the City South Novotel the staff are excellent. They always are.
S. S.
This hotel is great for business and pleasure. Well positioned for tube (London Bridge) and sites such as The Tate Modern. The rtoms are well appointed and the staff are great. The restaurant and room service is what loses the final star for me. The choice is limited and uninspiring. But breakfast is fab and as a business user it is always my first choice.
T. D. l. f.
Clean and friendly. Comfortable rooms with open plan layout. No bath just shower with odd two way mirror so you can watch your partner shower. What ever turns you on!
S. H.
My husband and I reserved two rooms for us and for our newly engaged son and his fiancé. Unanimously we all agreed that we felt that staying in the Novotel London South was like home away from home. The atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxed. We were able to explore and sightsee a handful of attraction in our short stay and for that we are very grateful. Thank you
J. P.
Nice room, modern. Slightly unusual design (bathroom is not fully separate so sink is just next to bed) and despite putting the heating up to maximum I was a little cold to be honest. But comfy bed, comfy pillows, good service and nice sized room.
A. S.
Decent, reasonably priced and modern. Nice bar to boot.
S. W.
Lili is awesome! Super friendly and great service with a smile! Good coffee and food and nice place to work from!

Whenever I’m staying in the area, I choose this hotel because it’s consistently good. This time, I had a problem with my room where there was a smell that I assumed was coming from the plumbing; after trying to get rid of it by running water, I went to reception and told them. They were extremely helpful, apologised and changed room with no fuss, and I ended up in a better room type, which I was happy with. There are only a few things I would suggest improvements to: some of the room furnishings could do with a refresh - the Bose speaker dock has a 30-pin connector, which iPhones haven’t used for quite a few years now. The bath has some mould around the silicone seals that needs cleaning or replacing, and the bath plug doesn’t fit completely so the water drains out. Finally, the breakfast is very good, but the bacon was really underdone (to the point of inedibility) so there should be the choice of how well cooked you want it. Nevertheless, I will keep coming back because apart from these small issues, the stays are always very good and the staff lovely.
R. C.
The rooms looked nice but smelled horrible. A combination of sewer and old furniture. Gross. View sucked. Never coming back. Staff was really nice though and the bed had USB charging ports.
s. p.
Attended a training session here. The lunch was very varied and good selection. Refreshments great with little snacks available. Room was laid out well and facilities for a meeting cannot be faulted.
F. C.
The staff are friendly. I tried to check in early at 8am. The receptionist got me a room at about 9.30am maybe because it was a weekend. That was nice. My other colleagues who checked in early previously were not as lucky. The staff try to help wherever they can, including the cafe for breakfast. This hotel requires 10 minutes walk from London Bridge tube station.
J. B.
We have just had a cream tea which was really nice. Staff very friendly made us feel welcome.
S. K.
Stayed at Novotel City South (6 nights) on my first trip to London. I had researched a lot before booking this hotel. The location is too good for tourist, two tube stations in a walking distance, London bridge station is just 4-5 minutes walk. You can take tube to any tourist place from this station.
My hotel experience was very good, their staff is simply awesome, they make you feel comfortable as soon as you reach, very friendly and always happy to help. Check-in time is super quick, took me just 2 minutes. I would specially like to mention Alex and Mickey both helped me a lot. Also the lady managing the restaurant was very courteous and welcoming with a genuine smile on her face all the time. It’s a shame that I forget her name. Will definitely stay again on my next trip to London.
U. K.
Attended work Christmas dinner and drinks here for about 120 people. Had mixed experience with Xmas menus before, but this was on the whole excellent for the value. Service was good, even with the size of the party everyone got their food around the same time and the food was still hot, tasty even if not very exciting. Wine included in the Xmas menu was also good. Choice of draught beers at the base is rather limited. Can't review the rooms as I did not stay overnight.
c. t.
Beautiful hotel. Clean. Excellent service. Great value for money
A. M.
Overall it is a pretty nice hotel, but we had 3 complaints: Bar at entrance was like a disco and you couldn't talk to receptionist to do checkin, they have works underway, our room smelled bad (toilet smell). Fixing that it would be 4 or 5 stars
刘.
The Hotels´ biggest advantage is the central location downtown London. As a familiy we were with four people in one room - which was too small. My recommendation for this hotel with 4 people: Better two double. Rooms were clean and renovated, the staff was polite and breakfast was fresh and rich. The minus point(s): The hotel hasn´t any athmosphere....
A. B.
Very good hotel, spacious clean modern and well equipped rooms. The only issue is that the bathroom and bedroom are separated by a blurry glass wall and you can see one 's silhouette through. I was with a work colleague so it was a bit embarrassing. Otherwise this hotel is great and well located.
I. H.
Slightly of the beaten track modern hotel. Executive room was clean, nicley appointed and there was plenty of space. It's a 10 min walk to the nearest tube so not too bad. Would stop here again without hesitation the surrounding area has a few pub and restaurant that are worth a look.
N. L.
Had a great stay here! Rooms were clean and big! Maria was very sweet and asked me if I needed help with my luggage in the elevator on my way to check out. Highly recommended!
c. v.
spotless room, equipped with everything you need to stay. Comfortable bed and comfortable room. Helpful and friendly staff and very good food. I will definitely be back!
K. L.
A pleasant, comfortable hotel to stay in on business. The room was a decent size and well appointed, e.g. a shower cubicle rather than a shower over a bath. The service was good and the breakfast in the morning was pretty good too.
A. S.
Anjilla is an exceptionally professional, courteous and hospitable team lead. Novotel should look absolutely after her. Made everyone checking in feel instantly welcome and positively assisted her team with snags. Was thorough and insisted on helping way beyond the basics.
F. D. C.
The only problem with the family room is the bathroom- Glass see through even you will push the button for deaming the glass panel you can still see shadows from the bedroom to the bathroom which is not nice when you have kids- so let them sleep or go downstairs when you have shower or bath But other than that .Very close to land mark, we walk on the Thames from hotel to London Eye Shrek World 25 min with my children which is Very nice!!! I will recommend it!! Both bar person at 11pm very good and reception very good breakfast person and choices very good. Close to borough Market
J. C.
Very good hotel, usual high Accor group standards. Executive rooms very well appointed with Nespresso coffee machines and Bose sound dock. Exceptional levels of customer service at check-in/checkout. Highly recommended.
O. M.
It has been a very good stay. The staff has been awasome. The rooms were perfect and the breakfast amazing. It is perfect for families and very well located.
C. S.
I was only here for work and didn't stay overnight. However the service I did receive when I arrived was very good, the place itself was very nice, spacious and clean. The food we had during the day and the lunch provided was excellent. I would consider staying here if I got the chance.
P. P.
excellent hotel. modern and clean. Excellent location in the center. From the window is a view of the city center. Friendly staff everywhere in the hotel. Good breakfast. Nice seating at the hotel's bar in the evenings. The hotel has large rooms. Water in the fridge in the room available free of charge.
R. N.
Was there for last night and I did give 4 stars but my last night was 5+ stars special mentions to france nunes who cheered us up just by talking and chatting also mention to Anjillo and Andreas who made sure breakfast was there for our early start and chats
I would highly recommend a stay here and is central for most of the sights you want to finish
J. B.
The food and customer service at the hotel was really good but I had to sleep on a sofa and not a converted sofa bed as there was no room in the room to open it and housekeeping had it made up on top of the sofa when we got in at midnight and to late to do anything. I mentioned to the lady in the morning but when we got back very late on Saturday night was the same again. I let the kids sleep in the big bed as they would have not fitted on the sofa and would have fallen off it. When I mentioned on check out I was told that there was nothing they could do.
H. A.
Very nice afternoon tea, they ran out of prosecco, but offered alternative drinks.
K.
Lovely afternoon tea. Excellent service. Nothing was too much trouble. Happy to recommend.
H. R.
I had a prolonged stay at the hotel with work over several months. Good room service menu. Nice rooms. Generous size. There is a bar downstairs and restaurant. Well located for the city and Tower of London. Quite a walk if you are a tourist and want to visit the west end. Tube station nearby. Local M and S nearby. Highly recommend
J. W.
Excellent location close to The Shard. Modern room with an exceptional bathroom. Breakfast was diverse and tasty. Bar area was ok but football was playing on the TVs which spoilt the atmosphere. Overall very recommended.
L. D.
Lovely welcome and checking in. Pleasant room , nice and cool and very comfortable bed. Breakfast bit overpriced, but room service breakfast very generous and easily shareable. Easy and safe walk to London Bridge tube station.
W. W.
Experience was fine. Hotel location is convenient on South Bank near the Globe and the Tate Modern, and a short walk across the river to the City. . Rooms and facilities were clean and modern. Breakfast was good and bar was nice.
C. H.
We had a great stay, it was my birthday and as a Gold member I was upgraded to a suite. We only stayed one night but we often stay in this Hotel as it is so well located for all the amenities on this part of the Southbank including Borough Market.
B. S.
Lovely accommodation and extremely friendly staff. Our room was for 3 adults but had to ask for extra cup to be added to room, and then next day when room was cleaned had to ask again for extra cup & tea bags.
M. G.
Excellent location with squeaky clean room. Great customer service. Very lovely folks in front desk. Close to the tube as well as must see places in London. Was wonderful staying here with my 6 year old twin daughters
B. B.
I'm giving it 4 stars because 3 seems a bit harsh. They can't really cool the place, so my 5th floor room in the 80 degree weather was just too hot for all 3 nights I was there. Opening the windows produces more noise than it does cool air.
The staff is nice, and I enjoyed my time at the hotel bar.
E. L.
We had afternoon tea as part of a red letter package. Hostess was very accommodating, cakes and scones were lovely and the resturant was lovely and cool and quite after a hot busy day in London. The restaurant ambience is a basic hotel and i expected a bit more as part of the package i had but overall it was very nice.
S. T.
Great stay here ! The reception staff could not have made us more welcome ...gorgeous comfy bed ..good size room ..great bathroom...immaculate ..the hotel was lovely and warm .. Would definitely stay here again !😃
G. H.
This s a great place to stay in London! We have stayed in a variety of London hotels both 4* and 5* Large hotels and boutique hotels and the Novotel is probably my favourite. For the amount of time you spend actually in your hotel when visiting London you need a place thats clean, has everything you need with good service and reasonable prices. Novotel offers all of this. The only thing I missed was a dressing table area with mirror where I could sit and get ready for our evening out but I managed without it and not a huge issue. I have been ripped off on bar and room service bills in other London hotels and it leaves a bad taste in the mouth after a nice stay. Novotel offer a good level of quality while remaining reasonably priced. I will never stay anywhere else.
T. F.
Standard fare Novotel so if you've tried one you know how it looks. Location is quite good and you may get lucky to get a room with a view of the Shard. Breakfast is good but you may have to wait to get a table during morning rush. Great bathrooms.
C. B.
I was given a room underneath the gym so was woken to the crashing of weights each morning. delightful. Also some building work going on at the moment so are breakfast to the smell of glue and sound of drilling. Staff a bit grumpy but probably understandable as dealing with lots of complaints.
D. W.
Had a lovely stay here, close to London Bridge. Nice modern spacious room, comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Bedroom and bathroom separated by a frosted window which you can't see through, unless you're in the shower you can see enough to be awkward if you're not a couple.
F. s.
It was pretty much ok and the new room was better than the completely obsolete old ones. But i'v got the idea that you''ve economised on the breakfast just to earn back the investment. It used to be better in the past. And please, get rid off the coffeemachine as it is out of service over and over again. Or just put in a second one. Just having one machine of dubious quality sucks !
L. S.
The hotel and staff were great! The location was very good, close to the subway, London Bridge, Tower Bridge/Tower of London and if you like to walk: a pleasant walk along the Thames to the London Eye, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and catching a boat to ride down the Thames. The room was smaller than United States hotels, but very nice. I would stay at this Novotel location upon any return to London and would recommend to friends or family traveling to London.
C. M.
Best place we've stayed at in London so far but to be fair we have experienced some terrible hotels in the past, staff are polite and eager to please. The room was modern with a great shower/bathroom and clean. Will use again
M. D.
Stayed here before for a couple of days and it's still one of the best places we've stayed at. Staff are friendly and very helpful, restaurant was good and generally a very high standard all round - we will return.
E. G. S. A.
I stayed in the hotel for 6 nights. The main purpose of my travel was to attend some lectures at Warwick Business School (at the Shard) which is why the Novotel South was a great location to stay. Is also very close to some underground stations which make it easier to move through London from there.
Regarding the breakfast, it had a good selection of juices, fruits, cereals and hams, but I would have like to have the option of boiled eggs and non-lactose milk.
A. N.
Excellent location, great room. Didn't use any of the hotel services so can't comment. Fresh milk for tea and coffee would have been great, but milk cartons were a good substitute.
T. O.
Nice hotel. Maybe a bit pricey but with good location. Bathroom window is a see-through that you can tint with a switch. Nice touch 😀 Sauna and steam sauna and the gym were great.
a. p.
It is a very good hotel. You can get breakfast until 12:00 at the weekend. That is brilliant. Staff are friendly and the TATE gallery is arou nd the corner. I will come again.
S. L.
pleasant but bathroom had pungent smell and mattress too soft. I slept on sofa bed on 2nd nignt as my back was hurting. At times this would feel overpriced £285. Breakfast not included in the price.
E. T.
Great business hotel. Rooms are small but clean and functional. If you're in London for business, I'd recommend but not for a romantic or family stay. I'll definitely be going back here for my next business trip.
A. L.
The standard of the room was good, though I think it's a bit strange to have "half the toilet" in the room. The instruction to the espresso machine wasn't accurate, which had me wondering and trying for a while to get the coffee out of it. The staff exchanged real coffe capsules with decaf. They need to know the difference if they manage it.
N. Q.
Really great experience. Front desk staff very warm and helpful. Room cozy, bathroom gorgeous with quality toiletries and huge thick towels.
M. G.
Very much enjoyed our two day trip to london where we stayed at this brilliant hotel...nice friendly relaxed atmosphere with attentive staff. Would recommend.
S. O.
This is a wonderful hotel, the staff treat you like family and nothing is too much trouble for them.
T. N.
Great hotel. Friendly and fantastic staff, modern clean rooms and facilities. The restaurant serves a fabulous breakfast and delicious meals at a reasonable price. 10 minute walk to London Bridge Underground Station.
G. P.
Would always recommend this hotel and in a fantastic area
g. t.
Location is great but the the staff and the overall feel of the hotel is poor. Make you feel as if you are an inconvenience not a paying guest.at breakfast staff would push past you as you were walking back to your seat with your food and drinks
R. B.
Great room executice room very spacious and comfortable and virtually 5* for cleanliness, hospitable and friendly reception staff, well priced for London city location amd complementory late checkout on sundays is a nice touch would come back
D. M.
Great place to stay, very hip and convenient! Clean and comfortable, close to Borough market and other fun places. Angela was amazing help! Can't wait to visit again
R. T.
Fine hotel with good sized rooms. There is complimentary water in the fridge and the bathroom is nice. Breakfast is of reasonable quality, but nothing too special.
J. S.
Had a lovely stay
friendly and polite staff, happy to change my room to a higher one with a view, also lent me a lead to charge phone, had everything we needed aswell as a lovely breakfast. Would definitely stay again
M. T.
Excellent service at this hotel, Gary in particular went the extra mile for us. Perfect!
S. J.
Nice hotel with good basic tools and amenities. Breakfast area could be a bit larger so that guests don't have to wait in line to be seated.
J. K. H.
I've stayed here a couple of times on business, and it's a nice, quiet location with good amenities. The rooms are comfortable, and I always get a kick out of the electronically activated privacy screen in the bathroom.
C. C.
Nice enough room. Not sure about the smoked glass between the bed and the toilet !?? Breakfast was awful. Scottish bacon is mostly pink with a bit of rind (preferably well cooked). This English stuff is white. Disgusting.
L. R.
Great rooms (modern style) with all you nees for a business trip and still feel like home. Excellent staff and its location is amazing. A must come back...
L. D.
Their afternoon tea is great, I like it better than the afternoon tea served by the hotels by Hyde park. There was nobody in the dining area when my husband and I came, but their service and food/teas are impeccable.
S. O.
It's a great Hotel and the team are amazing. They look after you like one of the family.
i. e.
Good breakfast. Room clean and modern. We did not have our room cleaned on Saturday do not know why. Woken up a 3 in the morning due to false fire alarm.
J.
Went there for an Afternoon Tea after coming from a visit to the shard. Nice friendly staff made us feel accommodating. Handy location for those going to places of interest in London which is easy walking distance.
T. D.
Easy to get to, staff friendly.
P. K.
We have used this hotel on a number of occasions including Paralympics, Diamond Jubilee & Royal Wedding. The location is perfect for viewing the attractions along the Thames, Tower Bridge & The Tower of London are a short walk away. The Globe just across the road which is perfect for my Shakespear mad kids.
The hotel staff are always eager to please and nothing is too much trouble. When I was taken ill during the Jubilee Weekend the restaurant staff were amazing making us a special breakfast even though the restaurant had been closed some time. I couldn't have managed without their assistance and our weekend was rescued. We shall continue to opt for this hotel in preference when visiting London.
L. W.
Lovely room, free bottles of water and in a good location. However the sink did not drain properly due to a broken plug. So I believe a 4* review is justified.
N. D. T.
Modern and comfortable hotel, great location, good breakfast ad service in general. 4 stars because the sauna( the only one on the last floor) did not work during my stay.
J. R.
Hotel itself very good. Rooms clean and modern
But we’ve waited over 1 hour for dinner even for the drinks amk
S. M.
Location is excellent and room was nicer than I expected. Had a great stay. Stayed in an executive suite room 324. Very modern decor and great layout. Staff was kind.
J. C.
Big problem at the breakfast, the only one machine was down, and i don't have any cofee....
They speak about receiving cofee from the kitchen, but nothing came when waithing more than 45min.
For the rest, verry nice hotel, and the service is perfect.
I. O.
Such a nice hotel. Room very clean everything is what u need . Great location from train station 10 min walk
J.
Hotel is very Nice and the staff are great. However the bathroom door doesn’t lock. Not good when you have two young daughters.
O. W.
This hotel was splendid, we had a lovely stay, the location is great and I have no complaints with the service, overall I would recommend this hotel it is great 🙂
R. L.
A nice place to stay however nothing special. The bathroom had mould in it and the room was on the dirty side. Would not go back there if I have a choice of another place to stay in Southwark area.
H. W.
I travel a lot and this was the best room I have stayed in. Only negative thing I can say is the room thermostat is very old and doesn't actually seem to cool the room much when it's hot.
J. S.
Stayed here for 2 nights booked by 2 different people, but they were awear of this and explained the way we had to just validate the key card.
Staff were very friendly and when asked they delivered quickly
M.
Nice place with modern rooms. Good morning buffet and friendly staff. Not so close to the center but reachable by metro. Shower was leaking and they did not solve the problem in one week.
E. O.
We enjoyed the modern design of the room and were particularly pleased that we could travel with our dog. The room was very quiet and the ambiance pleasing.
J. v. d. L.
I just want to say a big thank you to Anj, the lovely lady you have on reception. I came in to ask for directions as I was lost and forgot my phone. She was very kind & helped me out. I wish there were more people like her around. Thank you so much!!
M. R.
Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. Great central lounge/bar/breakfast area. Straightforward, comfortable room. Very pet friendly!
J. G.
I was upgraded to a Suite which was extremely comfortable and well furnished. Service a was exemplary, as was the breakfast. It's a really pleasant place to stay.
I. M.
Decent enough hotel although dinner options are a bit limited, more of a bar menu than proper menu, room nice (standard Novotel fare). Good location.
J. R.
Super friendly. Seemed really happy to be back at work. Came back a bit tipsy and the bar staff were really helpful and not at all annoyed. Thanks all
C.
Room was great, clean and good service. I would've given the hotel a 4 star but the restaurant was terrible. I ordered a red curry chicken and I swear they used Mr Chengs red curry mix for the stew lmao
c. d.
very well located place, a few min walk to the city, perfect for work travel, very quiet rooms, comfortable beds, nice bathroom, breakfast is good and has quite some choice, bar is nice and people here are really friendly !
A. S.
Great hotel located only 7min walking distance from london bridge underground and the Shard. Pubs, restaurants are close by. Breakfast is actually very good being British.
C. G.
Nothing wrong with hotel - I think the area was not as we expected, bit too far out for our liking. Well away from the center of the town so took time to get anywhere, if like us you are there for only the weekend you need to go everywhere by taxi.
C. C.
verry accomodating staff. Very polite, however the rooms a/c has yet to be remedied. Staff is very forthcoming. Will see what the situation is when I return from the bars this evening.
H. M.
Spacious family room, great location, free left luggage storage the only issue I had was not being able to get dairy free spread despite requesting.
A. A.
Didn't stay - came for a working meeting which included lunch buffet - have to say it was super nice! If they had their own restaurant I would definitely go
T. B.
Great location near financial centre and tourist attractions such as the Borough Market. Rooms are standard with nice touches like a Bluetooth speaker.
R. I.
Staff are really helpful, rooms are very nice, any issues you have they will look to sort, I would definitely stay there again
N. D.
Great location, just next to the borough market, the shard, subway etc. The staff and the service were good
The breakfast is really good as well
O. A.
Nice hotel. Loved the ambience of the executive room.
The TV didn't work though
R. W.
Wonderful place for afternoon tea
C. N.
Great location. Lovely modern clean room with view of The Shard. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Would stay there again!
s. m.
lovely hotel in a great location for exploring the southbank. Room was very comfortable for 2 adults and 2 children. A family friendly hotel.
R. H.
Clean spacious room, friendly staff.
J. M.
It's quite a nice hotel but they skimp on the toiletries quite a bit so being spare.
O. M.
Great size rooms and bathroom. TV was old though didn't seem to have a guide and the heating/Aircon was very limited.
M. A.
Great service by the staff. Breakfast needs to be a bit more fresher. Other then that I would recommend this hotel.
S. M.
Not the best of visits to Novotel South London. The "improved room" [on the sixth floor] is far from improved. The "deconstructed" bathroom is far from practical and the sink does not have a plug and is not practical for filling the in room kettle.
C. G.
Good location, nice sized rooms, fab breakfasts but aircon was not working in my bedroom and no free water.
A. D.
Hotel was clean, very well located, but the staff was incredible good. Anjilla, the receptionist was very helpfully, i really recommend this Hotel in London
L. C.
The hotel is excellent. My only complain is about the maintenance man who takes excessive time to come and solve a room issue.
T. T.
Good clean, quiet hotel considering the location. Couldn't hear the roads nor other guests. Breakfast decent.
H. E. K.
The rooms and breakfast are nice. The location is relatively central - Close to Borough market, The Globe and a nice River boardwalk along the south bankside.
B. S.
Really pleasant hotel, we only had afternoon tea in the restaurant however it was very good quality food and the staff were exceptionally polite and welcoming!
A.
Stunning in executive and raises the bar for premium executive love the room food menu was apoling and the price
이.
Really nice hotel for family. I met very kind staff. Her name is Anjilla. I highly recommend her for everyone.
J. g.
Can I thank Anilla and all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable My sons electric wheelchair broke down and the staff got us a loan of a wheelchair until his own one was repaired The staff here go beyond the call of duty So welcoming and nothing is a bother to them Great food and super rooms We will be back
Joe Lorna and William Graham

Not at all happy with checkout process. Guys... When you want to use membership points.... clarify everything before checkin. How many points can be used at check in/ check out. I was unable to redeem all the points at checkout. I felt tricked.
W. R.
The day before we were leaving, we told front desk that we had to leave early 06:00 am teh next morning. Due to that, we did not have time to eat breakfeast. We orderd breakfeast boxes to take with us. We also asked for train to Gatwik airport, and frontdesk told us that train was leaving direkt from trainstadion London Bridge at 06:27 am.
We got up early, and ready as planned to leave 06:00 am. We got 4 bags with 1 apple, 1 pear, 1 banana and one jogurt without any spoon. When I asked for a spoon, and drink he told us that the hotell was out of lunch boxes. He went into the kitchen and got us spoons and 1 wather bottle each. Time was tikking, and it was allready 06:08. I told the front desk that we were in a hurry, and I was wery disepointed in the food to take away. This was not food, it was only fruit. The breakfeast cost 16,98 pund, so the hotell did a terrible job.
The information that the front desk gave us the night before (22:00 am) about train to Gatwik Airport was wrong. No train was leaving direkt from London Bridge. After we had asked several pepople, and running around, we learnd that we had to take unbdergrund to Victoria and then train to Gatwik.
We almost missed our flight at 09:40 am.
J. I.
Nice room, very good location.
Breakfast poor. Bar area uncomfortable, as much class as a fast food restaurant.
R. R.
Pros:
- great staff
- very nice exec room
- very nice in room coffee machine and coffee
- thank you for drinking vouchers as per Diamond status
Cons
- no bathrobes and slippers
C. K.
Good location, clean rooms, limited bar and food options, quite expensive for what you get, will probably return.
J. F.
Extremely helpful and accommodating staff. Lovely bedroom and breakfast. Location was great for what we wanted - a weekend visit to tower of london.
M. P.
Big rooms as for London, good food and gym&spa. Borough Market just around the corner with hipster places to eat&drink. London bridge tube-Jubilee will take you fast to Oxford street. 15 mins from London Liverpool and Stansted Express.
T. R.
This place is clean, nicely decorated and the staff are very friendly and considerate. And their restaurant serves fantastic food, with friendly, professional waiters.
E. C.
Great hotel. Good service, and lovely atmosphere. Always a warm welcome!
K. M.

M. W.
Hotel was fantastic, situated in a great area close to the south bank , and borough market, close to tube station, and shard, rooms where great light and modern as you would expect from novotel, breakfast was lovely loads of choice, and the staff where friendly and very helpful would stay there again when in London would recommend
E. M.
We only stayed overnight, but our room was ready when we arrived, everything was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

M. V.
Fantastic location, 5* service, clean, comfortable rooms, fine dining experience, good selection of drinks: only but only positive experience.
A. P.
Was lovely, room was fab and view great. And the muffins left for my sisters birthday was a very nice gesture.
M. T. (.

Nice hotel. Great location, the breakfast was good as was the coffee shop.
f.
Tea for two was nice.
Quiet venue, nice food.
Staff were very nice.
K. S.
Really nice hotel in a good location. Would of been 5 stars, but the room service prices were very very high, even for London.
C. B.
Had afternoon tea there very good service
P. I.
Very happy with all aspects of my stay - room clean and comfortable, excellent breakfast.
A. B.
This Novotel has a very convenient location, near London bridge and Borough market. Otherwise, it's a Novotel, you know what you get. It's still in very good conditions and an ideal choice for a city trip.
J. K. (.
It's good
s.
Amazing place ,I like the bar staf very friendly, good food!!!
Price is not the cheapest one but is central so is ok.
J. F.
Very nice afternoon tea
E. G.
Very nice and clean room. Friendly staff and lots of selection for breakfast
M. J.
Great breakfast, but very busy on weekends, executive premium room are not that good in comparison with other novotel hotels.
T. L.
Ok. Pro atmosphere, but same rooms as any other in the chain. Bathroom solutions is horrible. Light bleeding at night.
l. 8.
My partner and I really loved the hotel. It was perfect for our needs. We will definitely be back in the future.
T. D.
Very pleasant stay. Room was a bit small to be called Executive. Friendly staff in restaurant and behind reception.
c.
It was very nice but there was a sewage smell in the hall. It couldn’t be smelled in the room though.
D. B.
Great hotel room was fantastic but the breakfast was nice but not enough staff to help
R. C.
This hotel was very pleasant staff was very helpful food was great. They deserve a ⭐⭐⭐⭐ rating for helpful service, presentation and food
A. M.
Impressed. I had an issue with the A/C and water dripping from the evaporator. As soon as I brought this to the attention of the front desk, I was immediately moved to an upgraded room and given a voucher for two drinks .
C. B.
Good Novotel like most of them. Everything was clean. Breakfast was decent.
C. S.
1. It was difficult to find. My iPhone sent us round in circles. Why not have a simple map?
2. Glazing was inadequate to keep out traffic and other noise (unlike the Novotel in Brentford)
3. The door arrangement on the loo is inadequate for the British view on privacy.
B. A.
I was home. Travelled so many places but this actually felt like I was actually home in Melbourne.
A. Z.
lovely hotel and amazing get staff. location good too.
T. V. R.
Great hotel. Comfortable rooms and very modern. Breakfast was very large and lot of choice.
C. F. H.
Situated very central and close to sights and tube. Rooms are great and the staff is very friendly too. Worth the money for sure
N. C.
Got upgraded to a premium executive room. Very comfy if a little small, but space is at a premium in London after all.
P. U.

P. G.

D. I.
friendly staff nice hotel
R. S.
Nice facilities but AC not working great in the room (it was much cooler in the reception, bar and gym areas).
M. H.
Cons: queen bed was significantly slanted on window side, pitching sleeper towards floor. Also bathroom fan could not be shut off independently, and was moderately noisy.
E. O.
