M. U.The rooms are smaller than it looks on the booking website. Everything is smaller than it appears on site. The reception is a tiny cubicle. The bright side is that you get a place to sleep in Paddington & affordable too.

T. M.We've stayed a few days at this hotel and really enjoyed our stay. A very good price for central London. The staff were always helpful and friendly and kept our luggage after we checked out as we had a late homeward flight. The bed room was large with an ensuite bathroom and TV.

Knowing we just had a long flight, they allowed us to check in one hour earlier. Though the hotel has no lift but you should not be worried to carry your luggages. K. L.It’s the little touches that makes a difference - powerful hair dryer , thick pickwick tea , milk and Demerara sugar , very comfortable bed , good shower , pleasant white room. We took the room on the top floor, for those fit enough to climb 5 flights of stairs. Staff were helpful in carrying the luggage up for us.

C. L.I felt relaxed and safe here whilst travelling to London for a workshop. Room and ensuite had nice modern decor and very clean. Great shower too! I was pleasantly surprised to find a hotel like this at this price! I would definitely use again. My room backed onto a quiet mews and I had the windows open all the time and wasn't disturbed.
I fed back to the receptionist that I couldn't get any cold water out of the tap and also the coffee machine isn't really suitable for making tea (there are teabags provided aswell as coffee capsules and sachets) because there is still coffee residue when you dispense hot water even after a few tries. But ultimately I was very comfortable here and felt good about the place.

G. H.This hotel has no lift. Steep stairs. That in itself isn't bad, but it is not mentioned on their website etc. We stayed one night, good location. Nice continental breakfast. The hotel staff try hard. Very clean. It's in the details that this hotel is let down. The carpet in our room didn't fit the whole floor, so there was a strip of uncarpeted floor by one of the beds. The kettle had a small cord and where the table was positioned, the cord couldn't reach. So for a family with two small children (in a family room), we had to put the kettle on the floor and guard it against eager children. The family room is on the 3rd floor, so getting to the top with family sized luggage... no lift...Lol. The views: from the stairs - beautiful London mews. The view from our room lovely London rooftop views. But windows that open from the bottom...no guardrail, 3 stories up... People with small children will know that can't be a good combo.
N.Too expensive for what it was. Shampoo etc ridiculous small and cheap! No hairdryer plug in bathroom. No toilet roll holder. Shelf in bathroom not straight which meant cosmetics fell off. Lots of plaster spots need painting. …
S. L.Nice hotel right next to Paddington station. It's a good cheap price for the location, and the room was nice and clean. It only had single glazing windows though and the street is very noisy and busy all through the night. Bring some ear plugs if you're a light sleeper, as there are delivery trucks and rubbish collections happening all through the night!

T. S.Yes the room is small. But it is what I expected and I am ok with it. I don't need a lot of space. I was here for work so I really just needed a place to sleep.
When the the internet is working, it works great. My first day here the internet was down most of the day. Reception informed me they were looking into it. For my entire stay I couldn't access the overnight guest log in network (not sure why) so I used the other open network that is available. It is fast enough to stream video like Netflix.
The hotel is conveniently located near tube stations. Being near Paddington Station is nice since there is an express train from Heathrow to Paddington making the commute easy.
Someone is available at reception 24/7. Whether or not they are actually helpful is still up for debate. To me the staff wasn't exactly friendly. But not really rude either. They were just kind of there. Well one female receptionist I spoke with seemed nice. That was it.
The included continental breakfast is minimal. Nothing to write home about. I personally did not like my coffee.
The hotel could use better street visibility or signs. It's easy to miss.
Security seems a bit laxed. The main door stays open. And reception is a side door/room down the hall so it seems someone could just wander in. Only your room has key card access. But I think they do have security cameras in some halls and stairwells.
Speaking of stairs, expect to carry you luggage either up or down narrow steep steps.

I was desperate to get a room and some rest and not knowing London very well after confirming that a similar quality room would be allocated to me, I opted for company's Bayswater hotel. The staff was always very kind and helpful. Location for the price is perfect.
i. s.Wonderful place to stay while visiting London. Rooms are very modern and clean. Fantastic location for getting to and from the airport and accessing all of London easily. Breakfast each morning is a really nice touch and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
T. M.Do not book this hotel if you are obese or you will find yourself trying to squeeze in and out of the shower or you may not fit at all. All this for an extortionate price tag. Couldn't understand why it was so warm in the room until we realised the fridge inside the makeshift wardrobe was kicking out a tremendous amount of heat.

The one and only thing I dislike from this hotel is we have to pay some money (£50?) as deposit right before checking in and will be returned in the next 2 weeks which is too much, at least for me personally. Other than that, all is good.

A. G.Handy location not far from tube station yet still quiet enough for a good night sleep. Small hotel, Room big enough, aircon nice and cold, WiFi worked well, shower was hot (maybe too hot - control was limited) and all in clean condition. Breakfast was a basic affair, with toast, some cereal, yoghurt pots etc (continental). Would use again.
T. Z.I have been stayed in this hotel in January. The check in was made by a really welcoming girl named Tatiana, she was explaining us all the facility, the area with attraction, really nice and helpful receptionist .
free WI fi in all rooms plus every morning breakfast included in that price.

T. M.I've stayed at 27 several times and have always got a decent sized room. I had booked a room for single occupancy and was given a room with a large double bed and a single bed, plus a cumbersome wardrobe. Id stay again if the price was right and I was on my own.
T. M.We arrived to London late at night and found the hotel extremely easy to get to being only a few blocks from Paddington Station. Tatiana at the front desk was very helpful for getting us to the tour bus to see the Making of Harry Potter in Leavesden. Slightly musty smell in the hallway.

T. M.The hotel is small but I think that adds to the character. Stains of dirt on the sheets and towels, hair in the bathroom, cigarretes all over the balcony. The sound isolation is bad as you can hear people clearly when they are walking up and down from the stairs.

H.while the front desk was courteous and helpful, the standards for cleanliness here is sub par at best. my room had dirty pillows and hair and scruff marks, one of them smelled horribly of body odor, sheets had a lot of fuzz, idk when they vacuumed under the bed. replacement pillow cases weren't stellar either. the shower had a weird sludge, though the rain like water pressure was good. overall once all bedding was replaced, it was an okay experience

A. Č.Was a cute little hotel located in what is basically a townhouse. It is a 5-story hotel (no elevator) with a couple rooms on each floor. I was on the top floor, so lots of stairs. It is located 0.2 miles from Paddington Station so super handy location as I was planning to take several day trips. It is also less than a 10 minute walk from Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park, and about 45-50 minute walk to Buckingham Palace. They did provide a little espresso machine & the basic toiletries, and it was very clean. They were very strict about check-in rules (can't check in until 3pm or it's and extra £20 per hour), but they will hold your baggage for you so you can leave it there and walk around. It's really close to quite a few nice cafés and little Italian restaurants.

Das Hotel war vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis vollkommen in Ordnung. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber. Leider war die Rezeption am ersten Tag mit einer Dame besetzt, deren Englisch nur sehr gebrochen war & daher die Kommunikation sich recht schwierig gestaltete.
B. S.Very neat comfortable room and bathrooms. Very friendly staff - reception and housekeeping and offering assistance. Just 2 minutes walk from Paddington train and tube stations. Many restaurants and grocery stores all around. Very good value for money.
The hotel failed to arrange for refund of my caution deposit when I checked out at 6.00am to catch my flight.

Unfortunately I will not use them again as they behaved like rogue organisation. They refused to refund my deposit despite requests
D. J.Attentive staff, but housekeeping leaves something to be desired. The cups and glasses weren't washed, so we had to clean them ourselves every day in the bathroom sink. The broom/mop wasn't used, so we found dust on the floor constantly.

N. Z.The hotel is in a strategic position, 5 minutes walk from Paddinton station, so it is very convenient if you arrive in London at Heathrow airport. The tube is a few steps away and from Paddinton you can quickly reach the most diverse places of interest in the city. Coming to the hotel, everything is positive. Good cleaning, in the room there is no carpet but parquet. Acceptable size and large bathroom. Window that opens easily and air conditioning and dehumidifier used in the very hot days of late July 2018. Sweet and savory breakfast, not with a lot of choice, but that's fine. In short, a hotel highly recommended by a person who is not easily satisfied.
F.There is no elevator, the room is tiny, and there are few bathroom amenities. The advantages are that it is close to the train station, they give you 2 bottles of water per day, and the staff is friendly. But it is really annoying to have to climb stairs with heavy bags... The price is high for what it offers.

T.The reception was very friendly and accommodating and we were able to leave our luggage in advance even though we were there before check-in. The room was pleasant and had a fast WiFi, but the air was a bit damp and cold, which was a bit unpleasant, but it could also have been due to the weather in general (it was typically rainy and cloudy in London). It is very centrally located, about a 3/4 hour walk to the London Eye through Hyde Park (my tip for a nice walking route)
A. B.There is no elevator and the stairs are narrow to get through with your luggage. You have to figure out how to go up.
The room is simple and clean. However, when we arrived it was very cold.
The bathroom was built in a strange way, but it is a fair size.

M. M.A clean and cozy hotel in one of London's most beautiful and traditional locations. Very close to the Paddington tube and train station. There are many reasonably priced restaurants, both Italian and Indian, as well as small shops where you can buy traditional food and souvenirs.
The hotel's service is good, the room clean, with some outlets adapted to the ones we use in Spain. There's a tea-making facility, and the shower soaps are good.
The breakfast buffet is good, although not typical English.

However a few reasons for the less than full stars.
One being charged a deposit which you should get back before checkout however may not get it because of the lack of availability of staff to issue you it.
The front desk, however friendly, isn't the most helpful.
Understandably the latter point wouldn't always be so hence three stars.
