Great afternoon tea and friendly staff. Their scones are really good and the deserts are well through out. The savory sandwiches could be better but we all had a really good time!

Lovely series of Regency Town houses that make up this charming five star hotel in the heart of South Kensington.
So peaceful, we spent 5 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed the relaxation in the hub of all the amenities and so close to the West End. The decor of the hotel has been well crafted by Kit Kemp and her team. The detail in the garden makes it an oasis for relaxation after a hectic day out and to enjoy the fantastic range and quality of the breakfasts.
The staff are excellent and welcoming and attend to every detail. Highly recommended and look forward to returning.

This is the 3rd time my partner and I have stayed at the 16. The hotel is very smart and comfortable, spotlessly clean and situated in a great location. The staff are very customer focussed and personable. The rooms are lovely, individual decor in each. The breakfast menu is extensive and excellent. The hotel has two drawing rooms, with an honesty bar, an added delight. We have previously also stayed at the Dorset Square hotel, a part of hotel group in Marylebone. I love this hotel and will definitely be back.

Such a beautiful hotel.
The afternoon tea is nice, nothing special, but a good vfm considering the beautiful decor.

Beautiful small hotel near St Kensington Underground. Bedrooms and public areas elegantly furnished. Lovely garden.

Food was fine but wouldn't say service was anything special. Was rather shocked to be told there would be an extra charge when we asked for more tea and sandwiches. Really? I've been to several afternoon teas and always been able to top up my sandwiches and tea. Always been asked if we need any more sandwiches/scones/tea. Cute setting bit personally wouldn't come back

Thank you to all the amazing staff who looked after us today as we were celebrating a friends 70 th birthday . We had a delicious tea in a beautiful room. Thank you to you all particularly Filippo who looked after us so thoughtfully & to the chef who so cleverly made all the delicious tea & the birthday plate. The hotel is in a brilliant location just off South Kensington . It was a real treat, I can’t wait to go again.

Lovely place, lovely staff, I'm completely in love with this garden, the hotel have many cute details, the afternoon Tea was delicious, and they gave me an special gift for my birthday, definitely I will be back.
(The only detail is the brownie was overcooked)

This boutique is a real quality place to stay as is the location. The rooms are fresh and fair sized and well worth the cost. Jo and Sharon were very helpful and when I wanted information on any ideal places take photos "My new hobby" Jo went all the way to help me.
I would definitely be staying here again later this year as I do every March and July and recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful scenery and a lovely place to stay.
Thanks again for everything

The afternoon tea was exquisite and the service impeccable. The staff was very accommodating when we asked to switch to a larger table and was all smiles throughout the entire afternoon.
The scones were still warm when served and were absolutely delicious with cream. The salmon sandwich was my favourite on the second tier and finally, the desserts that were just the perfect cherry on top of a wonderful, indulgent afternoon.
A little side note: the decor is top notch and is probably one of the sweetest boutique hotels I have ever seen. The gardens are fantastic and I can only imagine how lively and animated they must be during the summer!

Came for wonderful afternoon tea for my mum’s 60th. The food and tea were absolutely delicious and the service was also great. The hotel and area where afternoon tea is served are really beautiful, especially on a sunny day. One guest gluten free and she also enjoyed the food.

Outstanding service from all the friendly, helpful and thoughtful staff. Thank you for making our stay so special!

I stayed at this hotel with my wife and children and had a lovely stay. We always do. The staff are very good and always did their best to help us with everything, from parking the car for us to arranging a babysitter so that my wife and I could go out for the evening. The room itself was great, spacious and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. With the service and rooms like that, there are no complaints really.

My wife and I had afternoon tea here and it was splendid. The service was impeccable as was the food and tea. The location is great, close to the tube station. The hotel staff is great. While we didn't stay at the hotel, it's now in our short list for trips to London.

The CUTEST boutique hotel in South Kensington! Great location to public transportation and other shops. Each room is decorated differently than the last but it all ties well together. We came here for high tea and so glad we did. The tea and dishes are delicious! I loved the beetroot bread, hummus and cucumber and you know what they did, came out with more! Awesome hospitality. Felt like a Londoner having high tea ☕️ We didn’t reserve a room here but I’m sure the hotel is just as quaint. Come here for high tea!

Absolutely loved this gem of a hotel! It is truly like a home away from home. I stayed at the deluxe and I found the space perfect. The details are amazing, I loved every single detail. It had a positive vibe around it and my fav place for sure was the garden. I spent many hours reading and sipping on my tea. You truly feel you’re not in central London. Stunning ❤️

We had afternoon tea reservations at 4pm. It was a lovely day, so we got to sit in the garden. Tea sandwiches and desserts were delicious. The tea was also excellent. The only issue we had was our tea arrived two hours in and we had find someone for check because we had to go. Our was switched unfortunately between each other. But we loved the experience because the garden was so beautiful.

The orangery for afternoon tea is wonderful I highly recommend. Very well price at £26 per head, beautiful atmosphere and a vast range of food. In the summer the outdoor section is also open which is lovely.

My first afternoon tea has been a memorable and stunning experience thanks to the incredible staff of Number 16. The hotel is decorated with exquisite taste and the high tea itself was delightful. A very Wes anderson-esque vibe surrounded this lovely moment... I will come back, in a near future I hope! Thank you again for your kindness!

The afternoon tea was amazing. The price was great for London standard and the quality of food extremely good. The place is very comfortable. I will definitely come back.

Absolutely beautiful and filling afternoon tea, have recommended to many now as we couldn't fault it! Very accommodating to my friends dietary requirements, impressive.

Had a lovely afternoon tea, garden was beautiful but unfortunately started raining halfway through. Staff were friendly and attentive and the food was very tasty and fresh. Excellent value for money.

Stunning location and such accommodating service from reservation to goodbye. The food was very nice and fresh. Scones warm and top notch as well as most of the goodies on the plate! Will be back.

A genuine boutique hotel. Lovely interiors on ground floor, very small rooms, v expensive for what you get. Service is outstanding. Well trained people and a very high staff to guest ratio. Food is great, but expect a premium across the board. Location is the key to thir ability to get the prices and stay nearly full most of the time - close to a Tube station, all kensington museums AND Chelsea.
B. K.
I love this place, the service was excellent and the food was amazing. Every room is different and beautiful. The design and decor, really lovely. The garden is amazing and great for taking pictures.

It was a great hotel in general, but we stopped in specifically for high tea. The service was incredible and the tea and sweets were so tasty. I've done many high teas in London and this was one of the best.
O. K.
Just amazing. Afternoon tea was beautiful. Surroundings completely stunning you would never know you where sitting in a garden in Kensington it was so quiet. Gins are Fab

One of the best hotels I've stayed in for look / feel and getting things right.
Atmosphere, service, decor. Has it all.
The menu in the restaurant in the evening was disappointing but plenty of options locally. Breakfast was very good.
T. B.
Great room, beautiful decor and amazing service, especially from Arthur on the front desk - such a gent. Bit cheeky charging extra tho for cooked breakfast when you’re paying these rates and you’ve paid for b&b
J. T.
Went there for afternoon tea. Very cute ambiance and great service. Food was however not my cup of tea. Overall enjoyed the experience but on the fence if I'd go back again just because it's expensive if you don't enjoy the food.
D. C.
A really beautifully-decorated hotel near the South Kensington Tube station. The biggest downside was an almost unusably-small bathroom, and the room didn't have a good place to unpack luggage. I would definitely recommend.
D. L.
Quite a cute boutique hotel located in Kensington area. The rooms are tiny, but service was really good and professional. Conveniently located near restaurants and shops.
H. S.
Yesterday we had tea to celebrate my grandaughter 's birthday, it was all delicious and plentiful, beautifully served on exquisite china by very helpful staff, a real treat enjoyed by all the family . Thank you . Helen Stevens.

This place is much bigger than you expect on the inside and has everything other kit kemp hotels have as well. Rooms clean service impeccable. only downside is you have to ring doorbell to get in late night

Fabulous afternoon tea, two very lovely young ladies who kept us topped up 😊

Excellent location, attention to detail generally, frequent turnover in youngish staff which can make for a welcome change, however turning a bit too bureaucratic which is not at all the way it used to be
Y. X.
