A. M.If you are going to spend a few days sightseeing in London, it is a good place to rest. Good communication, close to the metro (Holland Park) and several bus lines. Relatively close visits, to which you can walk, such as Notting Hill or Hyde Park.
The facilities were acceptable, we had a room without a closet and it wouldn't hurt to be able to unpack our suitcase. The elevator did not work and from other comments read it is not a new complaint.
The treatment of the correct staff.
Daily room cleaning.
It is greatly appreciated that they allowed us to leave our suitcases for a few hours after checkout to complete our visits on the last day.
In short, without being even close to the best hotels, it has met what was expected at a reasonable price.

You can hear a lot of the outside noise. It's advisable to use earplugs. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. They clean the rooms and change towels. Clean shared bathrooms. Metro is 100 meters away.
S. S.During our stay, the hotel was undergoing renovations. Our room for four people was small but very nice. The bathroom, and especially the shower, could use some improvement.
As for the breakfast room, it would be nice if it were signposted, so don't bother looking for it.
We know we're going to London, and it's up to us to speak English, but it would be nice if the staff learned French.
Brochures indicating the buses and metro would be nice to have available.

C. C.Simple bed & breakfast hotel for a few days visiting London. Located in a unique building. Although it has an elevator, you'll be using the stairs most of the time, as it's very slow. Tea and coffee facilities are available in both the room and the lobby. Bus stop to Piccadilly is right outside the door, and the metro station is 50 meters away. Clean. Friendly staff. We didn't hear any noise from other rooms, but we did hear noise from the street, as the windows are simple.

A. B.A cheap Hotel, without great features but in a very pleasant location, near Nothing Hill, one minute from the Metro, above Holland and a very quiet residential area. The service, attention and mattresses are bad, but it makes up for it with the price, location and a succulent English breakfast.

Ideal location: the hotel is right in front of the "Holland Park" bus stop, a short walk from the Notting Hill district, which offers several interesting destinations!
The metro is 100 meters away.
The decor was completely redone this year from floor to ceiling, and the result is impressive.
Plus: even if the room must be vacated by 12:00 on the last day, the staff agrees to store suitcases all day in a secure room.

L. S.Read the previous reviews and was dubious booking up. Called the hotel and was told it's under new management and they assured me old problems no longer exist. I stayed in room 5 (see pics) and was impressed. Clean bedding, clean towel, nice decor, friendly staff and a sink in the room. It is on a main road so I bought earplugs in advance. For the money, it's an excellent place. I hope others take the time to raise this hotels score as its been treated harshly due to old reputation. I stayed 6/3/17.

E. H.The rooms here were a disappointment compared to the promise of the outside of this grand old house -- they are TINY and without any character. Our room had a super-high ceiling but was barely large enough for the 2 twin beds it contained, and had no sign of the crown molding and other details that surely used to adorn the place. There was very little space for our belongings, and just a freestanding towel rack (taking up precious floor space) to hang things on. Guests were coming and going until about midnight, and each time the main door opened our door would make a noise as the pressure changed in the house. And one time someone woke us up by ringing the bell repeatedly around 11:30 PM, continuing for quite a while before someone let them in. On the plus side, it's very close to Holland Park and the underground, everything was clean, and the staff was friendly.

The building itself is beautiful and well maintained by staff who clearly take a pride in what they do, and are also very proud of their Serbian Chetnik ancestry who originally acquired the Ravna Gora. B. N.I almost cancelled my booking after reading the reviews. I'm glad I didn't! The hotel is not perfect: it's an old, historical building and the rooms are bit dated (old but clean linens, and the like -- no bedbugs, as some have said, but I slept without the orange bedspread -- just sheet & blanket). The common restroom is a bit disconcerting as well, as there is no sink and the other (male) tenants sometimes make a mess. Initially, the Wi-Fi didn't work, but the staff kindly restarted the modem and there were no problems after that. The single rooms without an ensuite bathroom come with a sink, which is very useful. The room is a bit dated; the walls need repainting and the floor is a bit wobbly; I never tried to close the window - I'm sure it works, though. The staff was very kind and respectful; they also minded the "do not disturb" sign on my door. Overall, this is a great hotel if you want to explore the city and retire at night to a central, safe, and inexpensive room. If, on the other hand, you want the pampering hotel experience (new, plush beds & plenty of space), this may not be the right hotel for you at the moment. However, as it is currently being refurbished, it might very well become this within the next few months.
H. K.Lovely hotel but our room had no bathroom. Had to use communal one across the hall. Tiny sink in the room but not really big enough to wash in. As the hotel is on a main road there is alot of traffic noise.
On the plus side the staff are very pleasant, rooms clean, free tea/coffee in the lounge, able to leave luggage for the day on checkout day so you can do more sight seeing. Check in is 2pm but if your room is ready they will let you check in early. Continental breakfast is offered for around £7 but there are plenty of places to eat near the underground.
Use the circle or district underground and get off at Notting hill gate to stay in Zone 1 charge area. A ten minute walk down the road and you'll see the rather grand looking hotel on the left.

It was spotlessly clean throughout the building, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The tube is right across the road and there is a bus stop outside. Prices are lower than most in the area and great value for money. We even nabbed a parking spot in the hotel car park and walked up the road to Westfield. We'll definitely be back.

Rooms were nice and comfy kepts to good standard, TV was a little small but then you're not meant to be spending that much time in the room anyway so it worked perfectly killing spare time on a night.

Appena arrivi vedi che la struttura da fuori è molto bella. Non c’è l’ascensore ma per 3 piani, per chi non ha problemi, non è niente. La camera che è stata assegnata a me e il mio ragazzo oltre a essere esteticamente molto bella era anche molto confortevole. il materasso era comodissimo, quasi da infilarlo in valigia e portarlo via. L’hotel era molto silenzioso. Pulizia fatta tutti i giorni,e personale GENTILISSIMO. Se devo trovare qualcosa di negativo direi il lavandino troppo piccolo, ma penso che neanche ci si debba far caso. Se dovessi mai tornare a Londra , tornerei sicuramente qui. Metro vicinissima con supermercato o posti per mangiare/ fare colazione. Fermata di autobus davanti l’hotel. A pochi metri a piedi si trovano tantissimi posti per mangiare, anche al volo. LO CONSIGLIO, OTTIMO.
J. O.Good hostel. For those looking for a place just to lie down and sleep, it won't be unpleasant. Hostel style with shared bathrooms. Nothing to bother you about. Very simple but tasty breakfast. Two underground stations nearby. One downside is the elevator, there is one, but it's out of service. We had to go up to the third floor carrying our luggage. Although we had been informed previously about this problem with the elevator.
It's such a good inn. If you're looking for a place just for sleeping it will not disappoint you. Shared bathrooms. It didn't bother me or my wife. Very simple breakfast but delicious goods. There are two underground stations nearby. Unfortunately the elevator was out of service. We had to go three floors up-stairs carrying our luggage. Although we had been informed previously about elevator issue.
I. M. H.Very good place to stay with your family, a hotel that simply offers you what you need to spend the day in the city and rest when you arrive. I have read other opinions and in our case we have not found anything bad, neither bed bugs nor dirt. Every day they changed our towels and the room was cleaned. A very positive point are the receptionists, both the one at night and the new guy during the day. In general terms, a good hotel, cheap and close to the metro.
K. J.Very helpful and flexible during my stay. The hotel was quite quiet as lockdown has only just lifted, but it was warm, clean, and nicely decorated, staff were also friendly, chatty and helpful throughout.
Access to the hotel frpm the M4 was very easy, as was access to their inclusive parking - as I traveled over 3 hours for business meetings they assisted with late check-in, storage for my car during my final days meetings, helped me with some local directions and were generally extremely accommodating at every turn.
Room was very clean, tidy, and nicely decorated.
The bed was comfortable and clean, pillows soft and even me, a guy from the quiet countryside managed two good full nights sleep here in the middle of busy Kennington. Noise was minimal.
Highly recommend staying here, it is a fantastic price for a lovely little hotel.
I will now use the Ravna Gora Hotel every time I travel to the area.
