We stayed in the Umpire suite for a couple of nights, it was stunningly clean and the bath tub in the room was an added bonus! The staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for them. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant which was delicious with great portions. We have recommended to friends and family who will be visiting soon.

Quality pub with a large outdoor space. Youngs beer and food, plus a lovely log fire in winter. Most comfortable pub in the village.
J. T.
My girlfriend and I come here quite often for drinks. The staff are always amazing! If it's very busy they always manage to find us a comfortable spot with our dog. I'd like to thank Sam especially for being so helpful and accommodating. Would highly recommend to everyone, especially dog owners!!
A. S.
Lovely and warm staff. Each room has a unique design which looks gorgeous, rooms
are ample and spacious and the bathtub (for the rooms
that have it) is huge and comfy. I'll definitely come back!
A. T.
Excellent pint of Young's and the Angus steak was cooked just as we like it and came with a generous portion of chips. The dill butter sauce was a nice touch. Some of the clientele were loud but suspect they were fuelled by the drink. The staff were knowledgeable and attentive and made our visit very pleasant.

Stayed here last Sat and Sun night with my wife 18 and 19 Sept. 2021 Paid 320 quid for two nights in room 9, their largest suite inc breakfast on both mornings and dinner on one night. Its lovely. A relaxed but smart pub with 13 rooms I believe. Smack bang in the middle of Wimbledon village. Room fantastic with a huge bed, bath in the room, and separate bathroom with shower. Whilst on the front of the hotel, it was very quiet due to fitted double glazing. Lovely to watch the farmers market come to life on the Sunday morning. Its dog friendly. Breakfast was a really good standard and the choice of beers was good. Two small moans, we opted for the Sunday roast in the evening which was served lukewarm at best. We asked for them to be heated up which was done quickly but they were not fabulous meals. A shame because all the other food etc was great. The other moan, even smaller.... but all the tables in the dining room were sticky as if they had last nights beer all over them. They didn't I know because I watched the staff clean them but it felt a bit odd to have the saucers side plates and cutlery sticking to the table. The varnish perhaps? Anyway, a beautiful place, wonderful room good service and a great location. Thank you for a fabulous stay, we will return as soon as we can.

Relaxing atmosphere...
Visited with a friend, chilling in a quiet part of the pub.
A place with character & friendly management. Lovely place to spend the evening x
A. M.
Great pub/hotel with very friendly staff. Will defo go again!
R. W.
Nice pub but one member of staff was really miserable. Whilst waiting for a taxi, despite having spent lots of money and spent a couple of hours here they refused to allow me access to the toilet. Being female of a certain age this was harsh. They made me feel very uncomfortable and I felt they were very mean. I had been a customer and this would have been of very little inconvenience. I would be reluctant to visit this place again. Customer service by this one member of staff was lacking. All other staff were great. It is a shame they ruined my experience of what has been an enjoyable evening. As this place is a hotel it appeared very petty.

Went on a Friday night to the pub to meet up with friends . Absolutely buzzing and friendly atmosphere. Would definitely go again
L. D.
Food here is faultless. Pub food served in wonderful surrounding
D. H.
Great pub Hotel drinks great didn't eat there but the food looked fab what was served to customers
I. M. -. f.
Comfortable clean accommodation, great bar with good real ale and food, excellent location. Highly recommend it.
R. W.
From somebody who has drunk and eaten at more places than I care to remember this is a good pub and good service however the food from burger shack (a part of this pub) is to be avoided! The burger was gristly and clearly some frozen monstrosity from the 80s (1980s although from the texture could have been 1880s). Beers were good though.
C. T.
One of my favourite pubs on the planet, with great food, great service and a great atmosphere. I've also stayed here a couple of times and was very pleased with every aspect. What I love most about the Rose & Crown, though, is the staff, who always go out of their way to make you feel at home. Thank you!
F. G.
From the Shack menu is to die for especially the "Loaded Fries"...
Staff is friendly and service is quick. Good garden with a marquee to watch matches. Quickly became my go to pub for sports events.
V. H.
Absolutely love this place!
The team are really friendly, the food is always spot-on and their pop-up marquee is the perfect spot for a big fat glass of wine on a Friday evening. Thanks Nicky and the team xx
r. w.
Great pub and the food was lovely will go again 👍👍
C. P.
Amazing food! Beautiful location, super kind staff. We had hummus, veggie burger, sausage, pudding and chocolate mousse. Everything was to die for!! We'll be back for sure
D. R.
Great spot the food is excellent if a but expensive but good experience overall
S. M.
I love the Rose & Crown, my local pub. Beautiful facilities inside and out. Particularly I like the lovely outdoor seating area when the weather is nice. Food and service good as well. Also, they are very well-organised to keep you feeling safe.
E. P.
Nice pub for a sunny afternoon. Good sized outside area and decent enough food. Staff were a little hard to get hold of at times.
R. T.
A pleasent pub with good food but a gawd awful ordering experience by app for new users.
S. P.
Enjoy some great beers in the garden, very friendly efficient staff and the Youngs app works very well, the garden looked really good with the soft lighting, a great pub to enjoy a beer and a bite to eat. Makes a trip to the Village very worthwhile.
K. B. L.
A quaint, classic British pub/hotel which openly welcomes dog owners and their companions for a pint or more! Being a not far from the Tennis Championship grounds and in the village itself, it will get crowded now until mid July!
The Guinness is nice! A little different from the (now) usual.
The apple and mixed berry crumble with custard is nice. Was one of the cheaper desserts and I am sure the food is as good as the price!
The interior has that dark, old English pub feel with the maroon leather chairs and seating which reminds me of the smoky ambiance of pub life in a decade when smoking was permissible everywhere!
Staff are jovial and on point.
There is an outside seating area at the back so the choice is there to enjoy some food out in the open especially during the tennis season! The restroom is nicely maintained and to its left is the hotel entrance, which looks good!
J. F.
Good CV-19 measures in place. Very good selection of beers all ordered through the app with table service. Good food although there was a slight mix-up on timings for bringing mains to the table.
A. H.
It was a wonderful, welcoming surprise to open the door to our room and discover a wide, deep bath near a heater. We were warmly received by Laura in reception and by our engaging waitress Paula in the gastropub. This is a kid friendly establishment and we loved every meal (delicious vegetarian options) and interaction with the staff and of course, Freddy, the chefs dog.
P. B.
My wife and I had a two night stay at the Rose & Crown and were blown away. The staff are superb and made our stay a pleasurable one.
The rooms are very very clean, spacious and comfortable.
The food on offer is reasonably priced and I have to say, the breakfast was lovely. We are already looking forward to our next stay.
Well done and thank you to all at the Rose & Crown.
R. N.
Elisa was excellent. She made us feel very comfortable and sorted us out with a great table. Thank you!
C. S.
Went for Sunday lunch after a walk on the common. Sat outside as it was a lovely sunny day. The pub was extremely busy. We ordered our lunch at 12.15 and it arrived at 1.45. Had we known the wait was going to be 90 minutes we wouldn't have bothered. Unfortunately no-one mentioned this at time of ordering. The food was definitely not worth the wait, very disappointing.
I. B.
Pretty good. The landlord was welcoming. He kindly moved us to an outside table at our request (just before it started pishing down). Ordering from the Youngs App is a faff (the UI seems poorly designed) but luckily the staff were kind enough to take our order in the conventional manner. The fish and chips were very good indeed.
A. D.
Nice pub with good outdoor area.
R. L.
The food was really quite surprising. Well chosen dishes for all. Drinks were nice. Nice wine selection and house wine prices from £17. They have quite a big space. Nice beer garden although they could lose a few plants as there isn't a defined pathway around the beer garden. I loved it. Bravo peepz.
W.
I stayed there for 2 nights.
Wonderful charming rooms with very modern bathroom, Sky - TV, a very big bed and a good selection of teas. You feel very welcomed by the gorgeous waitress at the breakfast. The included breakfast is half buffet and half a la carte, which is amazing. At night they have good beer and food!
Didn't know what to expect to have accomondation in a pib, I was really happy and satisfied!
p. s.
Great food and fairly priced, Parking can be a bit difficult so plan ahead as the area is notorious for it. Staff are really friendly and the prices are not what you would expect at Wimbledon village.
I recommend the Calamari and Sea Bass main. great seasoning. I would say do not be afraid to talk to the people in the next booth or hail a server as when it is busy the wait times for service can vary depending how many are on the floor.
Overall a great place to go, has a very "proper" pub feel to it, modern styling in a classic setting but still feels like your down at the local with MUCH better food.
A. M.
I've been here several times during the day and had a nice meal with decent service.
The first and last time I went for dinner was another story. The place was completely disorganised. There was no clear server for our table (in the end the manager didn't even know who put server should be), our drinks arrived one at a time, we had to chase to order dessert and pay our bill and were never asked once if wanted anything else to drink (even after all our drinks were empty...).
Decent food but I'm afraid the appalling service will be keeping this food eater away.
J. P.
This is a cosy little hotel, with a restaurant and garden in Wimbledon Village, I love going here for my Sunday roast, the food is always very tasty and fresh. The staff are polite and very helpful, the ales they have in stock definitely quenches the thirst, in summer they have a BBQ in the garden. Children are welcomed here.
M. A.
An incredibly delicious Sunday pork roast! An extremely generous portion, more than enough to share even! Great cosy atmosphere inside and a lovely place to spend the afternoon! Looking forward to next time!
A. F.
The service from the shirt man with a brown hair quiff was excellent.he also made the best rum come 🙊😉😉
S. D.
Popped in for a quick drink after work and it did the job, however I wouldn't make a huge effort to return if I'm honest. The drinks were reasonably priced and the staff seemed nice. But there wasn't much for an atmosphere at all and I'm not sure how to explain it but it just felt slightly uncomfortable! An 'ok' place to pop in for a single pint.
K.
Really good chicken roast today! (thanks Chef!... You did a great job!👍).
Waited over an hour to be seated, though I was told Initially a table will be free in 20-30 mins. Turns out the guy sorting the tables couldn't find us and lucky for us we weren't in a rush although it might be worth taking a mobile number next time?
Either way it was worth the wait. Cheers
M. C.
I have been a regular at the Rise for decades and the food now is excellent. Took my daughter for a sour of the moment Sunday lunch recently, she had the Sunday roast beef and I the venison pie
The restuarant part was packed and our food was really good, huge Yorkshire pudding, top quality rare beef and rich, tender venison in the pie. Goid value too. Nicky, the Manager, has made huge improvements. Well done.
V. H.
A wonderful classic neighborhood English Pub & guesthouse. We stayed here for 4 nights and had the opportunity to experience both: You will find Very friendly, helpful, & generous folks here. The food, drinks and beer are all served perfectly done.
M. B.
Nice looking place. Good 'beer garden' in the back. Burgers are terrible however. Way over cooked even though we ordered them medium well they came out well well done. As no one came to ask how we were doing there was no one to complain to. So, choose your food carefully. And avoid the burgers.
H. J.
Food lovely, staff helpful, obviously packed during Wimbledon championships but that just creates a great atmosphere when you're all watching the matches on the big screen! Definitely visit again
E. N.
Nice relaxing ambiance and lovely food. There is also a big choice of burgers (half of it vegetarian).
J. H.
This was a fantastic venue for the staff's Christmas party. The food was excellent and plentiful, the atmosphere fun and the service (especially for a larger party) efficient without being over emphasised. I would strongly recommend this pub and would also use again.
N. K.
A brilliant place. Great food and fantastic service. I could not recommend it highly enough.
S. C.
Went on Mothering Sunday and did not book in advance so had to wait and hour for a table : understable. However we then had to wait almost as long for the food to arrive after ordering. Excellent food though. Left the pub and bit underwhelmed.
a. f.
Waited a long time for my lunch. Ordered venison cottage pie as I was not supposed to eat beef having had a heart bypass 10 days ago. but got served a beef cottage Pie Make sure you get what you ordered.poor service
H. Q.
I LOVE MAX TRAPNELL, what a member of the TEAM!!!! Love the pints, I love max. Rose and crown MVP
Annie xx
N. W.
Great pub. The food is a little hit and miss when compared to others in Wimbledon but the employees are always happy to put right. Will always drop in for a beer or two.
P. B.
Visited this evening. Like other pubs in this area it's not cheap. With is a pity wen u cons idea Young who own it were once one of the most reasonably priced pub chains in London. Having said this the Rose and Crown Court is a pub of character and wixh like the Fox and Grapes. Ten minutes walk away has hardly changed since the seventies. Prefer it you nearby Dog and Fox.
G. C.
Nice pub/hotel. Bit pricy for booze and regularly short on the pints, especially when busy. I get fed up keep having to ask. But during the winter they do have Young's Winter Warmer on tap.
J. M.
Food was OK but I wouldn't rush back here considering the range of eateries close by.
Staff were efficient and friendly despite it being a busy Friday night. Bill was reasonable Cost. £60 for two courses for two people.
Only ate here, didn't stay.
M. M.
Atmosphere is always buzzing. It feels like a proper village pub with everyone coming in from the Common or the Village High Street.
Meals have always been good here (tho slightly overpriced) and the service has always been cheerful and efficient. Prefer it to the Crooked Billet and the Hand in Hand.
G. F.
Good choice of IPA and ales on tap. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Pizzas are decent. Board games are decent. 2 TVs and a projector for games... noice
P. O.
Great service, friendly staff, super location. Thank you for a relaxing stay!
L. S.
Decent boozer with an interesting range of snacks. Not sure the brie, raisin, and spinach quiche was for me but a nice attempt nonetheless.
As it's my tipple, it would be rude not to comment on another stellar lime and soda. Greater London really does seem to know its way around that particular beverage.
Unfortunately, the main reason I was in attendance was the quiz. Very disjointed and not much fun hence the 3 stars.
E. P.
Great lovely pub. The quality of food is good but the staff is absolutely excellent, really helpful and kind, especially the floor manager was so kind and helpful with me and my friend when visited.
K. P.
Really lovely pub with nice back garden. Perfect place to enjoy those rare sunny days. Have only had the coffee, which was very nice, but I look forward to going back to try the food.
J. S.
We had Sunday lunch here, we've been before. This time we arrived at 12.20 only to find people hogging tables, we were a party of 7 (3 children and 4 adults) and two large party tables were being hogged by one person waiting for their party to arrive. One tables party didn't arrive for 45 minutes, while we had to all squeeze into a table for 4. The pub staff didn't do anything, and kept referring to the fact you cannot book a table. Which we found very frustrating being regular customers, I think it's a issue that Young's need to look into.
T. M.
Great evening watching the rugby and football here, the staff were particularly attentive with Enya & Sam in particular.
P. B.
Busy pub on the edge of wimbledon village. Easy to get to by bus from putney and Wimbledon station. Located opposite wimbledon common so a good stopping off point if you have been walking over the commons, and find yourself in Wimbledon village.
Large outdoor area to accommodate smokers. Also great in summer to sit outside. Heaters provided during the winter months.
Accommodation available with parking for guests.
Good selection of choices on the menu.
J. C.
Great venue. Lots of seating, lovely outdoor area. Decent selection of beers, the usual Young's selection and some local breweries. They also show sports and serve some good food.
K. G.
My favourite pub for food and drinks in Wimbledon village. Cozy and the right level of boisterous. Table service in the dining area provided, which is a very pleasant bonus.
C. V.
Very nice terrace, good service from nice staff all topped with some life music from a band. Ordered hamburgers, well executed with a generous side of crispy fried, there's not much I'd improve except perhaps the cheese (bit flavourless and kind of weird texture)
A. F.
Lovely traditional and friendly pub. Good staff, tasty food, great beer. Recommended.
B. F.
Always friendly staff and quality food. Rooms are great as well.
W. S.
Nice pub lots of staff who are friendly so get served fairly quickly. Only down side is price of drinks quite expensive.
P. F.
Good atmosphere and warm welcome.
D. B. (.
Friendly traditional pub in the heart of Wimbledon Village. Great food and beers etc. Extra special touch were the 'bar snacks' - more small 'starters' that are available on the bar to have with your drinks - great idea.
C. “. B.
Really nice pub/hotel. Great food and the service is good as well. Parking nearby on Ringo The sticky toffee pudding is amazing, make sure you try it.
M. H.

Really nice pub i visited after going to a Surrey league XC fixture on the wimbledon common.
All the staff were very welcoming of muddy people with lots of energy.
M. S.
Brilliant food, drinks are pretty expensive but you're paying for the lovely area where this publication is located. Could do with a bigger outdoor area. Really polite and helpful service!
C. M.
Really nice atmosphere, friendly staff and great people. Also the food is really good.

Lovely inn and restaurant. The food was great. The gentleman who seated us was, obviously, having a bad day and the service was average.

Nice pub. Good beer and food. Staff are quite attentive. Low ceilings. Not fantastically cheap, but it's Wimbledon Village.
J. w.
Good for a drink and watching sport. There is heating out the back and when the tennis is on it's great. Had Sunday lunch last week and couldn't believe how good it was, exceeding all expectations. It wasn't cheap but this is wimbledon
J. C.
My favourite place to go in Wimbledon Village, whether it's for food or just a drink by the fire. Staff are always polite and helpful. Highly recommend to anyone.
J. G.
Good pub. Nice beer garden.
A. C.
Great place for a drink and some food and friendly staff
A. E.
So nice to find a place that has remembered that pubs are somewhere where people go to talk instead of being bombarded by background music. An auditory oasis.
(they keep a decent pint as well!)
A. B.
Alright pub. Nice staff. But the selection of beers is really basic these days. Used to be better.
F. E.
Great relaxed pub with a large outdoor beer garden and love the Wimbledon Bravo APA beer they have on tap - little on the pricey side though (£16.15 for a round of three drinks)
M. B.
Always good.....odd decision to do a triple decker fish finger sandwich
S. T.
Friday evening by the fireplace! Thank you
J. G.
My client loves this place as the staff is so helpful as she's a wheelchair user. They're having a bit of work done, can't wait to see the end product.
R. E.
Nice pub, originally was going to another pub in the area but chose here instead. Great selection of taps and a nice atmosphere
R. O.
Fabulous pub in Wimbledon village, right by the Common. Great food, great atmosphere with a garden and if you're lucky you might see the Wombles working hard!
Á. C.
The Perfect pub . Nice crowd , backyard , good food , ales , nice deco , good service , family friendly , all ages accepted , relaxed ,if only it was open later in weekends and played music in the weekend evenings ...

Nice pub, good outside area for catching the sun. I had the cheese burger which was good, and my girlfriend had the roast beef which was excellent. Quite pricey, but worth it.
