S. M.I had a really enjoyable stay at this hotel. I was over in London for work and I had a wonderful room, in Room 304. The room was really good and the shower was wonderful. I was very relaxed going to work next day. Many thanks to Shirly, Jeana and also Matian who helped sort a safe issue. I will certainly add the Shaftesbury Hyde Park International to my list of great hotels in London.

In the past year I saw the prices float up and down, and for what I saw, they're sometimes a bit too high, compared to the quality of the hotel. You can always find a good offer comparing sites, though.
I must say the position of the hotel is very convenient: 2 tube stations nearby and multiple bus stops.
A nice place, not terribly luxurious but well kept, clean and above all, you'll find excellent people assisting you.

The location of the hotel was great, near a tube station with plenty of shops and restaurants for shopping and meals.
The hotel itself was under renovation when we checked-in, and came as a surprise because we were not advised when we made the booking.
However, despite this, the rooms were very clean and comfortable although a little small.
The front reception deserves a Big Thumbs Up, especially Gabriella, Angela & Vincent for their excellent service.
Rebecca from the Restaurant is so good at her job that it is a pleasure going for breakfast every morning. Her sunny smile and excellent service also deserves a Big Thumbs Up.
These are the staff that makes a Hotel a great place to stay and is indeed a great asset!!!
D. P.Staff very polite and helpful. Hotel looks a little tired in places - I had a single room that was very small, but clean. It had air conditioning that worked well and a decent wall mounted TV. You could hear the other guests at times and the area itself is a busy one ( both Bayswater and Queensway tube stations nearby), so a consideration if you are a light sleeper. I would happily stay again however.
J. B.It's nice enough, staff are friendly. Breakfast is good. Rooms are very small and dated. Shower is amazing, however fittings need cleaning and updating. Not much attention to detail. Rooms are very warm, air conditioning only produces noise. Can't imagine how it would be in the height of summer, there is no cool air. Very noisy between rooms and floors. We could hear other people's conversations. Also, there are lilies everywhere. Even if you're not allergic, which I happen to be, they are overpowering. Location is great and i guess that's what you pay for.
L. K.Great staff who are accommodating, brilliant breakfast in the morning! Sausages were divine but do not expect a large size from your room! Me and my partner had to walk SIDEWAYS to get around the room! No room for our bags so we were stepping on them half the time. Throughout the night, there was a generator outside of our window which sounded like someone was digging up our bed every 20 minutes and it vibrated our wardrobe. All in all we got around 3 hours sleep. Not great
D. K.We were moved here after our booking for the sister hotel down the street couldn't be fulfilled due to maintenance issues. The staff were very warm and helpful but the first room they assigned us to had a mattress that slumped in the middle and you could feel the coils. They kindly found us a room with a better (though not luxurious) mattress. Also wasn't room to swing a kneazle in the room.
J. S.Paid for upgraded room and it was tiny two people getting ready would be in each others way constantly. I did get a good price compared to other hotels in the area. It was a very plush room, modern throughout. Comfy bed and big tv. They couldn't make me a late night pizza or any food for that matter but reception did order me the worst tasting margarita pizza I've ever had (thanks, not) i would stay there again. Could have done with a small a/c unit.
T. M.On arrival we were warmly welcomed to the hotel. The room was clean and had everything I needed including a welcome fruit basket and flowers in the room. Breakfast served 7am til 10am weekdays and there was a good selection of cooked breakfast items as well as the continental choices. Staff were very friendly and tried their best.
M. G.The hotel may be 4☆ but the staff are 5☆. The location of the hotel was superb, in s quiet street with little traffic and 2 minutes walk to the underground and also Hyde park. The room was functional but well furnished with a nice bath and plenty of towels and shampoos etc.
The staff could not do enough for us, we felt very welcome and they went above and beyond the call of duty. The breakfast was good with plenty to choose from and they were happy to look after our bags as we spent our last day in London.
I can't recommend this hotel enough we will definitely be using it again for future London visits.

g. c.Asmita (that's the manager's name) and her crew are very nice and welcoming. The hotel is a very typical English hotel. Thick carpet and wood everywhere. If you like the style, you will like the place. If you are looking for something modern, well, better luck next time. But if you are into classic stuff, and you are looking for a place to stay in the West End, that's the place. Only few yards away from Kensington gardens; half a mile from Portobello and Notting Hill; one mile from Oxford street. Not too expensive. I mean: go there!

Blood and other stains on the bed sheets which then took 3 phone calls, 2 trips down to reception and 45 to get just a clean sheet brought to us to put on the bed ourselves! Extremely rude staff and disgraceful cleanliness.

P.The hotel is small and looks OK from the outside, my room 402 super tiny with a small double bed and a shower that I can just about squeeze into, good job it's a work trip and not a Sexy weekend away. Food selection in the hotel is really limited and the food is cooked elsewhere and brought in to the hotel hmm. I would suggest not staying near the lifts as the noise from the doors opening and the mechanism is annoying during the night and not good when you are trying to sleep. Over all 3/5 due to it being clean and OK but just super tiny and noisy
T. M.The nuts and bolts of our stay was great. The room was lovely. There was some noise from outside and during the day I could hear the music from reception below me but for a hotel in London, this was not a big deal and especially for the price we were paying.
A. N.Everything you need. Close to tube stations (1min walk to 1) loads of shops and restaurants in next street. Staff amazing especially Asmita. Rooms small but clean and well equipped. Lovely toiletries and great shower. Bed v comfy. Breakfast has soooo much choice and takeaway cups if you fancy a lovely walk in Kennsington gardens (4 mins walk away).

1. Very nice and helpful staff spically the reception guys.
2. Brake fast is tasty with many options.
3. Hotel location is perfect to all transportation there are two metro stations (Bayswater and Queensway ) 2 min walking and many restaurants there Italian indian Arabic English Thai, etc.
Disadvantages
1. The rooms need maintenance. Spically room 001.
2. Room 001 every time you need to turn the air conditioning system you have to ask the reception to turn it on.
3. No daily room service like change towels and bottles of water. U have to ask for it.
This experience for one week stay.

M.I booked Deluxe Double room directly from their website, breakfast was included. Excellent location, you only need to walk through one block and you're at the Bayswater station, a 1-2 minute walk. Queensway station is also nearby, so you have easy access to pretty much anywhere a tourist might want to go. Many cafes and restaurants nearby as well as a couple supermarkets and other shops. Next to Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens.
I was assigned a room on the ground floor. The room was nicely decorated with a big bed. However it was the smallest I've ever stayed in, I cannot even imagine how two people would go about their morning/night time routines there. There was only one small closet in the room which only had 8 hangers, no shelves. No separate hook for your jacket. I was traveling with hand luggage only and I still had to keep half of my stuff inside my suitcase.
The room was cold due to the freezing air coming through the door. I had the temperature at 28 c and it was still chilly, my feet were frozen and I was shivering, coming from cold weather to a cold hotel room. For whatever reason they kept the door to the corridor open during the daytime, and the exit was directly in front of the corridor - so whenever someone opened the front door, cold air would come rushing in through the room door. I told about this to the staff, they put the power on higher on the heater which didn't really help as it obviously didn't prevent the air flowing through the door.
The bathroom was very cold, and very tiny. The shower was a small glass box with a folding door and the toilet seat was in front of the door. Getting in and out of the shower was a struggle. The sink was placed high so you will make a mess if you try to wash your face in the sink, the water running down your arms. Typical British faucet with separate handles for cold and hot water which are so annoying.
The breakfast was basic, the same each day. Tiny breakfast room but enough space for off-season time. Bacon, sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms, boiled and scrambled eggs, beans. Omelets, fried and poached eggs and oatmeal could be ordered from the kitchen. Yoghurt, simple sandwich ingredients, some pastries and cereal. Fresh fruit. Nothing special but still good. Coffee, hot chocolate and tea making supplies and biscuits were complimentary in your room. No mini fridge in Deluxe Double, so no possibility to store your own food - although placing it in front of the door probably would've done the same job.
Friendly staff, I was shown to my room on arrival and my luggage was brought for me. When I complained about the coldness they did come directly to check it, too bad their solution wasn't sufficient.
T. M.Meaning you will probably eat it because it's free rather than because it's any good. Rooms are tight but we spent so little time there it did not matter. The room apart from its size was very good. We would certainly not hesitate to return here the next time that we're visiting London.

D. K.I stayed here after being moved from the Grand Royale Hyde Park. It is a decent hotel but doesn't look as good as the hotel I was supposed to be staying in. Location is good as it was quiet and within a short walk from a few tube stations so it was easy to get around. Room was pretty small for this class of hotel and what I paid for it. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly.

الغرف ضيقة جدا غيرت غرفتي ونزلت لغرفة رقم 002 نصيحة لا تاخذون غيرها. عيبها ازعاج اللي فوق ومافيه عوازل ابدا لكن اعتبرها الافضل بالفندق (لشخص واحد)
الموقع بطل هذا اللي سبب اختياري له. جنبك مطاعم عربية وهندية ومحطة المترو.
