Best Hotel we have ever stayed in, the staff couldn't do enough for you. Was made feeling very welcomed by the staff. The view from the window was truly excellent. We had dinner at the hotel which was lovely. The room was spotless and massive. We'll worth the money in my opinion. I have one criticism however, when I booked in I was told they would have to have a deposit of £200 for the room, which I had my bank card so it was no problem, but I wast made aware of this when I booked the room, I understand some people don't have that kind of money and they save up all year to visit a place like this. So I feel like this should be made clear when booking. May say on website but feel its good practice to tell people over the phone. Thank you again for a truly amazing experience!

Myself, my husband and our 2 month old daughter stayed here this weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The experience was amazing! The staff went out of their way to cater for my daughter, making me feel at ease. The stay was very comfortable and relaxing. On arrival, we were given a complimentary upgrade as well as, late check out to accommodate our baby. The use of pool and sauna was relaxing, especially at 6am. We enjoyed the views of London from our room! I would highly recommend anyone thinking to stay here, the hotel is one of the best.

Booked a spa experience here. A lovely hotel, I was treated like royalty from start to finish. The massage was exceptional, probably one of the best I have had. The pool and sauna have an amazing view. As mentioned the pool is a little cold and also only 1 changing room so I felt pressured to dry and change. The lunch was amazing and service great. I live too close to London to make it worth an overnight stay but if I felt indulgent I would definitely stay here.

Shangri-La Hotel was a lovely and unique experience that is definitely worthy of its 5-star status. The view from The Shard was just jaw dropping and seeing the city at night was really something special.
It was like something in a movie, the staff would take your bags straight to your room, help you out of the taxi, and made the check in process very easy. We ordered a room with twin beds however and they instead gave us a room with a queen bed and had to wheel in an extra tiny bed that night.
The robes, swimming pool, spa and bathroom were lovely experiences and the daily housekeeping was top notch.
The room service was also fast and professional however it was insanely expensive. Luckily we were able to order our own food from local takeaways and the staff would actually bring it up to our room!
My only issue with this place is that I would never in a million years pay the actual price that it cost for our 3 nights. Our friend paid for everything but it totalled to over £3,500 off of the top of my head. That is just insane, but you’re paying for the view.
A fantastic hotel though and almost no complaints.

More of a tourist attraction than a top 5 star hotel. Rooms are large and spacious with all the hi tech. Obviously fantastic views.
However service not great when compared to other hotels. Certainly don’t feel special. Food for breakfast which was a buffet was poor and so was the service for the drinks.
Couldn’t get even a drink at the hotel without a booking as so many people there.
Paid for room with breakfast and got charged a service charge for breakfast. Never had that in a 5 star hotel before.
It was an experience but doubt I would return.

I was lucky enough to be treated to a stay at the Shard for my Birthday and I've got to say it was a fantastic experience! Clean and comfortable rooms, stunning view and friendly staff. I enjoyed it so much that I have been trying to book the 'Love is in the Air' offer for my girlfriends birthday. Unfortunately, this is proving difficult. I've been trying to book for three months, emails have gone unanswered, the people I have spoken to on the phone haven't been able to help and the website doesn't let me book any dates even stretching far into the future.
Hopefully we will be coming back to stay again...assuming I can actually book a room!!
(If I could book this would be a five star review)

Stayed on a Saturday night for one night. Check in was seamless and easy. The room was spotless and the view was like no other. Very quiet and the room had black out electric blinds.
Ordered room service, and they rang me after an hour saying it wasn’t available what I ordered and offered to make me a club sandwich. After another 30 mins, they brought a club sandwich with meat, although I stressed that I’m vegetarian. They then brought me a vegetarian club sandwich with a complimentary half bottle of champagne.
Used the sky pool at 7am, it was very relaxing and only 6 other people. My key card wasn’t working and while I was using the pool, the guy got me a replacement which was very helpful. Ordered breakfast which was delicious with a great spread.
Would definitely stay there again and would recommend visiting.

We had an amazing time at the Shangri-la Hotel to celebrate my special birthday. The service was excellent though out our two day stay, the staff were all professional, polite and extremely helpful. The views from our lovely iconic room were absolutely amazing and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast before visiting London’s many landmarks and attractions. I would recommend this Hotel if you are looking for an exceptional experience.

Booked this hotel for 1 night for anniversary. Upton checking in it was very busy and had to wait to get checked in. The room we booked was London bridge view room, it was very small. The bathtub with the view was nice. We had breakfast room service which was nice. Unfortunately when we stayed the Spa was closed due to installation of the sauna but was compensated with free breakfast which was decent of them. For the price you pay and the room size unfortunately i wouldn’t stay here again but it was a good experience.

Surprise birthday dinner on the 35th floor. To die for view... Food was great, lovely staffs who was happy to take our photos. Definitely will be having a day time visit.
A.
Had an absolutely amazing experience during our stay in the premier room. The room was clean with stunning views (especially the bathroom where I could take a bath and enjoy views of tower bridge). The staff were all friendly and incredibly helpful. Would love to stay here again soon!
J. O.
Stayed here with hubby for our anniversary. Such a beautiful, cozy room with amazing views (especially at night) .. the breakfast was exquisite! Truly a magnificent stay and we would definitely visit again.

Where do i start. I stayed here for my 30th. Fantastic place. The staff were really polite and friendly. They even looked after our luggage for us when we checked out. I’d like to personally thank Sonia- front desk/ guest relations for giving me complimentary champagne and birthday cake.

What an experience!! The Views were brilliant. I booked a table for 9:45 pm as it was the only one available and I had reservations on how much I would be able to see but the lights are dimmed near the window so the view of London at night was beautiful. The ambience in the restaurant was perfect for a romantic meal.
I've not even mentioned the food which was so flavoursome, I could not fault it! Perfect for dinner on a romantic night away
W. M.
These photos are from room 4304 and wow what a room!! fantastic views of London Bridge and Canary Wharf side.. huge bathroom with jaw dropping views that I thought only existed on other peoples Instagram feed.. it wasn't cheap but as a special occasion was worth it.. they also made my special effort for my daughters birthday by putting cakes, balloons in the room! service is top notch and exceptionally clean!
C. T.
Amazing views from the deluxe city view room we stayed in, staff were very polite and service was faultless. Amenities were brilliant especially the heated toilet seat and the spacious bed. Spa was nice and they even offer refreshments in there. We got breakfast delivered to our room, everything was fresh especially the fruit. Would 100% recommend.
A. D.
We had a lovely stay from the moment we walked through the door to the moment we left. All the staff were extremely helpful and made sure our stay was unforgettable.
The room was stunning and the floor to ceiling windows made it feel like we were in the clouds. The decorations and all the special touches made my birthday truly memorable.
The spa was great, we enjoyed The Gong bar for dinner and breakfast in the morning was really nice with great variety of items to choose from.
P. P.
The room we had was amazing and had the most amazing views. The bathroom is out of this world. The amenities brilliant. Staff were fantastic. And the complementary cake we received for our anniversary was gorgeous.
So why, you may ask, only 4 stars and not 5? The sound proofing between our room and the room next to us was not so good. We could hear the couple talking quite clearly to each other and hear the music they were playing. Seemed to come from the window/room corner adjacent to them. Earplugs needed when sleeping as they appeared to be night owls 😶
It didn't spoil our experience there, but it is something to consider if you want peace and quiet at night.

Wow where to start. The whole experience was out of this world. I requested a room with a bath that had floor to ceiling views of London. It was breathtaking! From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left we were treated like royalty! The room and bed was outstanding. We enjoyed the views of London from the room. Breakfast from room service was just divine! We had it up in our room with views of London. It was the best service I have received in my lifetime. I also asked my partner to marry me and they decorated the room with balloons and gave us a lovely little cake! The food and drink was brilliant. We went to the Hu tong restaurant for dinner that evening and let’s just say…. Also the best meal of my life! We can’t thank everyone enough for making it special occasion one to remember! We will for sure be back! Much love, Chelsea and Hannah!

Fantastic meal in the Ting restaurant. Amazing service beautiful views and some of the best food I’ve ever tried. Will be back next time I’m in the city

Stayed at the London Suite and it was truly wonderful. It is the most expensive room at the Shangri-La but absolutely worth the price. Spectacular views of London from every angle. And because we went over the Xmas period, the room and hotel was nicely decorated with a cosy and festive vibe. Valet parking was also convenient and well done.
My only complaint was the swimming pool was quite cold, so we only stayed in there for 5 mins.
But all in all, highly recommend staying here.

Stayed at the Shangri-La to end a three night trip in London. Arrival was very friendly and welcoming; staff at ground level sorted our luggage and arranged for delivery to the room after check in. We were able to book a slot at the pool and use the facilities before we checked in; Joshua at reception was very friendly and made our experience hassle-free.
The pool experience was very enjoyable, I didn't quite know what to expect, the views were amazing, however there was only one changing room; they should consider making space for more as we had to wait to use the changing room and shower.
We were checked in by Rita who made sure we had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. It was my partner's birthday and she very kindly arranged for some surprise birthday cake to be brought up to the room which was a nice touch.
Now to the room; spacious, the view was beautiful, and we had a great sleep. Issue with the hairdryer was reported to reception on checkout. I don't want to go into any more detail as I think everyone should have the element of surprise if they haven't stayed here before.
Overall a great stay in a great city!

Amazing views and modern mod cons. Stayed in the Westminster Suite and had a lovely introduction by friendly reception staff. The only comment I would make is that I would prefer a smart TV in the suite with the compliment of usual apps such as YouTube and Netflix than the basic tv with few channel options. I would also like some more surround sound effects for any music I play whilst getting ready for the night out. Breakfast was great, nice variety and very fresh. I did feel the hotel infinity pool area was slightly cold when getting out. Heated towels or floor there would be lovely. In the suite I feel the minibar should have been complimentary for the price of the room. Would stay again. Top Tip - Nothing beats going to sleep with the blinds open. Thanks Shard
R. C.
Stayed here for an anniversary celebration and it was fantastic, the views were amazing even in the gents urinals "a pee with a view". The bed was immense but little touches such as binoculars for the view, a free anniversary cake, bizarre "Japanese" toilet ( washes your bum) and TV in the bathroom.
One downside was we could hear next door, would have expected better sound insulation in a 5- star hotel.
N. H.
Staff on front desk were lovely. Room is nice but a bit plain and corporate. Breathtaking views of the city of London (Iconic city view room). Breakfast was poor by Shangri-la standards, more what you would expect from a DoubleTree or Courtyard. The hotel is all about the view and they do little else to impress.
D.
Always our go to when needing to stay, swim and dine in best hotel in London. Amazing service, amenities, restaurants, bar. Swimming pool view of London is the best around. Absolutely love this place and feels great to be back, as always.
G. B.
I just love it here. Makes you feel on top of the world! Well, London anyway!
Great service and lovely food and beverage options across all outlets.
Elegant but not pretentious, worth paying that bit more, for the ambience and that view!

Went to ting the other day tor my wife’s birthday and place is super cool the restaurant Ting was on 35th floor from where you can literally see the whole city Food was good and staff was super friendly and professional A good place to go for special occasions
D. O.
Stunning views, especially if the room is facing the city and if you have the bath tub next to the window. Time can be perceived as lasting longer when you have so many details to pay attention through the dusk from anywhere in the room. The staff are very friendly. Skypool and sauna are recommendable - they do limit the number of people based on 45min prebookings so it does not feel crowded, but I'm yet to feel fully comfortable with sharing such spaces.
L. M.
We visited the Sky Lounge in the 35th floor. There is an incredible view of London’s skyline. Not so expensive for such a view.

The good thing about this hotel is a room with a hell of a view. The poor things is that a lot of the items in the room didn't work which we did point out to various members of staff. There is a few things this hotel could do to make the whole experience a 5 star feel, instead it was just managing a 4 star.

We stayed at le Tousserok Shangri La for our honeymoon and it was absolutely incredible! On the first day, we were greeted with a warm smile and welcome drink by Stacy. We were spoilt for choice with food, being vegetarians, the chefs went above and beyond to cater for us! Especially Dev at the indian restaurant Safran, who made us special veggie dishes two nights in a row! Sabrina the chef at la Bazar was also amazing and prepared Chinese noodle soups for us for breakfast!
We’d also like to give a special thank you to Mirella the waitress at breakfast who brought us fresh coconuts every morning and Devika who gave us fresh sorbet everyday at 2pm!
A special shout-out to Guillaume and Johan from the activity club who taught us archery and gave us a personal training session! Overall, our stay was superb. The hotel also has access to a private exclusive island called Ilot Mangenie which is a major selling point - we were looked after by Jauhan who was so friendly and kind - he brought us drinks and served us a delicious truffle pizza with a special local chilli sauce!
Lastly, we’d like to thank Pooja and Madhuri from the concierge who were extremely helpful and patient with all of our questions
The staff are wonderful and do everything with a smile. The food is just incredible and the resort itself had a plethora of activities - we were spoilt for choice. We would highly recommend this resort to everyone!!!

My husband and I went for a dinner at Ting restaurant of Shangri-La hotel last Saturday to celebrate our anniversary!
Stunning location in the sky, so elegant!
The staff is professional and kind, and the food really good!
Recommended experience!

Stayed here for a few nights. I'll be honest - the views are pretty awesome, it has a toilet that pops a probe in to your keister and the breakfast selection was good...
But in this price bracket - there are other hotels in London that have more.. soul?
It's not a reflection on the staff or my stay. It was still an incredible experience.
M. J. S.
Excellent levels of service all round The views across Central London are simply stunning. Each room comes equipped with a spanking paddle which is an especially nice touch. Good breakfast.
J. C.
Fantastic hotel and the staff where fantastic as well . We stayed for our wedding anniversary and it was just perfect.😊

Fantastic views of HMS Belfast and Tower bridge. Room is wonderful with great facilities. Once in a lifetime opportunity staying here but worth ever penny. Gets better when night closes in & everything's lit up.

Stayed here for our wedding anniversary at the end of sept 2021.
Simply put it is the best place we have stayed in London so far and its going to take some beating.
On arrival we were greated by Rita who was absolutely amazing, a real gem in a superb team.
The room was astonishing, what a view simply breathtaking, fantastic bath.
And finally the resterants are beautiful serving devine food and drinks.
Will definatly be booking again dont think any hotel will be able to compete.
M.
Only reason I gave it 3 stars and not 2 was the quality of the amazing porter team. The rest of the staff under-trained and uninterested. Hotel showing signs of wear and pool always busy. Afternoon tea average. Next time I'm headed to London for 5 star luxury it won't be to here.

We have been looking forward to staying at the hotel after having seen all the reviews. I must say the check in was smooth, the girl was so helpful & informative. She also recommended we should visit the Gong Bar because there would be a stunning view from the bar.. The girl told us a booking was not necessary. We called at the bar at 17:00 approximately, the staff from the reception told us we would have an hour & a quarter to occupy the table. We did not have any choice at that time, so we accepted it. We must say that you have a good selection of wine, so after having finished the first bottle, we would like to have another bottle. We asked one of the member of staff if we could stay & have another bottle, she checked & came back t us that we could have another half of hour. We were gutted being treated like that. We stayed in the hotel, but we did not get any privilege. Anyway, we ordered another bottle of wine, we enjoyed it but we did not appreciate the service.

Very lovely fragrance collection, beautiful reception we did not make it to the rooms but staff were welcoming for us to sit in reception while we waited for taxi. We took loads of photos.
K. H.
Overall the experience was amazing. Hotel is very clean and tidy. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The views from the room/bars and pool are one of the best. My only downside would be the rooms need a little updating (apart from the bathroom). And if we wanted a top up on water it was a charged!
F. A.
The overall experience was wonderful, we were received in a polite manner and we would stay with you again. The breakfast was first class!
The room had a bath with no bath products (bath foam/salt/bubbles) (gel/cream/shampoo was present), we called the concierge and reception several times, and approx an hour later we were delivered bath foam. The delay was frustrating and delayed our plans significantly.
At departure we were kindly allowed extra time for checkout but had to wait 40 mins due to a queue. There was no acknowledgement or queue management.
M. T.
Fine for drinks and appetizers. Fantastic evening views over London. Not a first choice for fine cuisine. Electric menu is frustrating.
J.
Excellent service. Came here for our anniversary and we were treated so well. Lovely atmosphere. Food was good and waiter was excellent

Fabulous!
Spent a night to celebrate my 33rd birthday and it was one of the best birthday ever! Solo traveller here, by the way . I requested a bath with a view, of course. It didn’t disappoint. It was beautiful. I forgot what was my room number but I had an amazing view of london sunset. The staff were very accommodating. I ordered a cake for myself as part of the celebration. I came early morning to leave my luggage and 2 staff collected my luggage by the door on the ground floor. At 2 pm, I went upstairs at level 33, where the reception is and luckily my room was ready so I checked in early. I had to book to use the pool and sauna as well. Guests are only allowed to use the sky pool area for 45 minutes and they do it in groups. For instance, a certain number of people are allowed to use the area for 45 minutes from 6-6.45 am and another group will come at 7am. They do this I think to disinfect the area before another group comes in. It was a great experience and would love to come back again in the future. Its best to visit this place in summer because you will be able to enjoy longer daylight.
T. D.
Lovely dining experience. The service was exceptional as always.
Hats off to the chef and the team. Made a special day really special 😃
P. K.
Beautiful design. Kind staff! Awesome view! I loved it! And the best, really private treatment room with beautiful view in whole London I think!!!❤🥰
L. W.
Fantastic experience. Staff were superb. Hotel rooms are stunning
A. S.
Stunning views from our room, great food & fantastic service. However, when you are paying ~£2k for a 2 night stay, you do expect perfection, which we did not get. There was a tear in the headboard on the bed, there was a brown water stain on one of the cream lampshades, there were greasy finger marks on the wardrobe doors and the light on the make-up mirror didn't work. We did report these to reception. We did therefore feel a little disappointed given the calibre of this hotel.
H. P.
Amazing views of London, whether you’re in your room, the restaurant, the bars, the spa or even the public toilet.
It’s a lovely place to just relax and enjoy the views of the city.
S. N.
One of the best stays I’ve had. Amazing views and service
i. s.
We had an excellent stay, great service (especially from Kimberley at front desk), room and hotel facilities were clean and well presented.
We had an issue with the use of the pool and spa area which could have been better controlled, took 3 days to get in!!!
Only slight disappointment was with the quality of the food, it was good but we were expecting excellent, did not live up to our expectations, considering the venue.
J. B.
Superb hotel, excellent service! Will definitely stay there again ☺️

My daughter Engil chose to come here with me, her mum, for an afternoon tea in occasion of her 21st birthday, I can say we had a great time, the view was very nice and the whole experience of food and place really unique and good, I definitely recommend this place for an outing in Central London,

I was there to propose to my girlfriend and nothing could have put a dampener on the experience but i was left a little disappointed in the customer service that i received. Firstly, we had to wait for an hour for our bags to be sent up to our room - had we known this, we would have just carried them ourselves as we wanted to explore the hotel. Secondly, i called to ask about the pool and was told to go right away as there was space. I arrived at the pool and was met with sorry, we are full... surely there is a better system than this when you're getting changed into your robes and walking through the hotel. Finally, when i checked in, i was told that my breakfast would be served between 7-11 and when i got there, a big deal was made out of the fact that my room didn't include breakfast, which was never made clear, even when i booked the table. The views and the rooms do make up for some very average customer service, mind. What should be a 5 star experience is certainly let down by some of the staff.

Best hotel, professional staff and pretty good food. View are cool :D. Recommend this hotel

Had a great time at a SUKA event. Food and service was really good. Hope to go to more special events there next year.

Fantastic, all the way around. Staff attentive, room is beautiful! We had the 5 course dinner in T'ing with wine pairings. Simon was an amazing waiter - attentive and friendly. The sommelier informative and excellent. And to wake up to London at your feet was phenomenal.
J. H.
No-one outside the hotel to greet guests.
Slow checking in. Had to wait for @ 20minutes as only 2 checkin desks available.
Gym - very small.
Spa - no dedicated spa and the massage was disturbed @ 10minutes into it with the phone ringing which we were advised was someone checking that where we there despite the treatment already having started.
Small bath tub - not comfortable if you are over 5 10' tall.
Only 1 bottle of water in the room.
Extremely comfortable bed / excellent breakfast buffet in Ting / staff wonderful / great view from the rooms.

Really lovely festive lunch with great wine pairing, views were amazing too, worth a visit

Shangri-la hotel in London. 9/10
check in easy enough a few forms to fill in and pre authorization of the card to be paid with.
room great couldn’t really ask for a better room, suites arnt always the best rooms. Iconic City Room 180⁰ views. bathroom great view. nice heated toilet seat.
in room service easy enough they set a table for you and bring it in to use. pricey for what you get some dishes are good value and some are not.
Very clean rooms
Very friendly staff
Room service very good
•Afternoon tea in Ting and the View from the Shard reviewed separately.

Having informed the hotel of our arrival time, we did not appreciate having to wait 1 hour and 45 minutes for our room to be ready. The Nespresso machine in the room was a nice touch - but only 3 capsules was rather stingy. Many guests did not wear masks around the hotel and no-one said anything to them. However, the views from the bedroom were spectacular - such a shame the viewing guide provided didn't cover the views from our side of the hotel! Someone came to clean our room ready for our arrival just as we had settled in - rather disturbing as we had assumed it had been cleaned.
P. M.
We went there for afternoon tea to celebrate my husband and daughter's birthday. Upon arrival there was some disappointment as we had requested seat with view and we were given an ordinary table. Yes I understand it was subject to availbility and not gauranteed but the booking was made months in advance and priority should be given ro those coming to celebrate an ocassion. We had ordered birthday cake as extra which was enough evidence that we were there to celebrate. We could see people coming much later than us get a window seat. Maybe hotel should review their policy and charge a little extra for gauranteed table so those coming from a long way away know that they will get what they have paid for.
They second hiccup after that was the menu. I had emailed Ting several times and had even called them that one of us had sea food allergy and if we could have some chicken sandwiches instead. This was confirmed to me on phone but upon arrival we only received apologies that there was no chicken. We accepted Turkey instead.
After this initial hiccup which delayed our table service a bit it went extremely smooth. We have been for afternoon tea to several places in London but this experience was the best. So good that we forgot the initial disappointment of not having a window table. The day was wet and the view wasnt the best anyway. Picnic in the cloud was great and the dry ice cloud experience was the highlight of the afternoon. Food had good variety. Sandwiches were topped up frequently. Desserts on the grassy boards for picnic affect looked out of this world. We ordered extra mocktails that we thoroughly enjoyed. Then we were presented with our cake. We had asked for Vanilla Passion fruit. Simply wondered how perfectly it was made. A little advice re all sweets. Although gorgeously presented they tasted all the same. Every thing had mousse. Even our cake barely had two milimeters of sponge and the rest was mousse. We loved it but maybe chef could review menu and incorporate some sponge cakes as well to give some variety.
As far as service was concerned the waiters tried their best but I must say it was rather slow. Ting was too busy. Didnt matter much to us as it gave us some extra time just to be there.
Our afternoon sadly ended but we took home amazing memories that will be with us for our lifetime. Thank you Ting for the beautiful experience. We shall indeed come back to you very soon.

As a wedding Photographer I've photographed some stunning weddings at the Shard in London - the staff have always been amazing. The setting at the top of the Shangri-la at the Shard is just stunning and offers lots of opportunity for some truly beautiful portraits and rocking wedding parties! One of my favourite photos was the 'reflections' moment during a Christmas time wedding, looking out across London at night! Five stars with zero hesitation!

Great experience! My wife and I went for our 18th wedding anniversary. Got a complimentary room upgrade with a fantastic view of the city and river thames. In addition we got 3 separate anniversary gifts throughout our stay biscuits, chocolates and a rose when leaving (Tx Tyrone) from staff which were unexpected and really made the occasion extra special.

Wow wow wow! Nothing short of amazing!! We came here for 1 night stay for my husbands 30th Birthday surprise he didn’t have a clue and he was absolutely blown away! From the moment we walked through the doors we had nothing but impeccable friendly service! The hotel is decorated stunningly and so picturesque! Sonia from Guest Relations checked us in and was so lovely she even sent up a slab of cake and note for my husband which was such a lovely touch! Very much appreciated .. I even requested a bath tub with a view and we got just that! We honestly cannot fault anything at the Shangri-La and we cannot wait to come back again Thank you so much for making my husbands 30th birthday just perfect :)

Obviously you expect the best staying at the shard and the rooms don't dissapoint. Heated bathroom floors, mirrors with tvs, breathtaking views and ridiculously comfy beds. There are a lot of people just here for a one off who may clutter the public areas getting photos and such but a minor setback. Make sure u book some time at the pool on the 52nd floor.
J. S.
The food was exceptional, the waiter service was superb. Cannot fault anything about this experience. Looking out across London was breathtaking. Highly recommend a visit.
L. C.
The Shard looks impressive; at the Hotel you know you are bound to get great service and of course a wonderful view, but you also get a sense of belonging and warmth.
There will be many travelers who are used to 5 star luxury, and who will expect and are used to 5 star service, and they will get this. Some will have transactional business stays and will get impeccable service and their needs attended to.
However, for some of us the experience is one that takes a long time to save for and therefore we have high hopes (literally) and expectations but we do not really know what we are going to get.....
From the moment I contacted the team at the Shangri La, I was treated like a human and not like a transaction. Kurt, the General Manager was wonderful and then I dealt with Noemie who could not have been any friendlier or helpful.
They knew this stay was for a special treat for my daughters 11th birthday. She had seen the Hotel featured on a documentary and said "I would love to stay there, it would be my dream".
Well the team at The Shangri La made her dream come true and gave us the most memorable, magical , warm stay ever. From going through the revolving doors at the bottom, we were greeted like old friends. They understood our need to take 1000 photos!
We headed up to reception to be greeted by wonderful theming - a picnic in the clouds. Another 1000 photos were taken and the team were so accommodating and understanding that for us, this trip was once in a lifetime.
Tyrone at the front desk treated my daughter like a princess. She was so happy and children can spot a fake from a mile off. He showed her round and spoke to her so kindly that she really felt like a VIP. She said how kind everyone was.
We had the most amazing room and her breath was taken away when we got to our room and written on the window was Happy Birthday. There was also a special treat which was not expected but very much appreciated. it just made her feel so special.
The pool was amazing, the room service was fantastic, the view was out of this world, the facilities were 5 star.
However, what made this Hotel so special was the people who work there. They made us feel like friends and like we belonged. We were made so welcome and I cannot thank you enough. This gushy review doesn't even do justice to how wonderful you all are.
The Shard is like a shard of glass but within the Hotel there is real heart and warmth.
Thank you for making our once in a lifetime experience so wonderful and memorable and above all human !!!!

Stayed here for our anniversary weekend! The service by staff was phenomenal and made our stay so lovely! The room was large and had great city views! The sky pool is lovely and very clean. In these uncertain times the hotel has taken all health regulations really seriously and we felt super safe. The morning buffet was delicious and had a variety of options. The GONG bar is something you should really experience if staying at the Shangri La. Will be definitely coming back! Highly recommended!

Wow what can I say. I
surprised my girlfriend with a stay here for our 1st year together and we were blown away.. The view from the room amazing, the restaurants amazing, staff amazing. You can't find fault with this hotel.

7 star customer service!
We have stayed at this hotel many times in the past, but the reason for our continued return in the past 18 months is not only because of the obviously nice decor and architecture, the views and the fantastic facilities, but rather because of the outstanding customer service we keep receiving!
From the moment of check-in with Franziska at the front desk, to the breakfast service by Julian, the room set-up with personal touches by Alan to the morning greetings by the hotel general manager himself, everything was managed to perfection. Nothing is left to chance and the attention to detail of this hotel's staff members is second to none.
Our stay at the Shangri-La London cannot be compared to the ones we had 5 years ago, or to any of the other five star hotels we have stayed with nationally and internationally.
We'd like to say a special thanks to Kurt, Alan and all the team members that have helped us feeling like Kings and Queens for these few short days, we will be returning very soon!
Thumbs up!!

The inevitable day of my birthday in the year 2021 arrived as always more quickly than I'd anticipated, but, fair to say, I did look forward to this one ... as I was to spend my afternoon as a guest in the wonderful Shangri-La Hotel halfway up the eightyish-story world-renowned Shard. In the Neverland-inspired restaurant of this towering wonder-building, my good lady and I were being treated to afternoon tea by a very dear friend, Sabrina Aquilina, a staff member in this magical newish London attraction.
And it was a day to remember. When one alights the lift to the 'Ting' restaurant, (35 floors up) one is immediately struck, of course, by the unimaginable birds-eye views of London from the sky above it. We must have had the very best seat in the house as we tucked in to the very best fare, served with the very best care, and possibly, with the utmost flare available in this, the Capital city. Enthralled with a magical menu of delights ... drinks and teas from all over the world, confectionary, savouries and sandwiches that looked as though they might also adorn the tables of polite aristocracy and our finest palaces, all delivered with service second to none. They even had a birthday cake and card on hand prepared specially for good old me. It was an experience one might never forget. Later, we three travelled speedily even further up the building's height to another exclusive bar, 'Gong' (on level 52, "The Highest Bar in London") for a walking circumnavigation of the whole of this tremendously impressive hotel's unique viewpoints ... and for more drinkie-poos, to thank our hostess ... and to satisfy further our visual astonishment.
Our charming Shank's Pony visit to this part of London was washed down with a grounding, ground-level inspection of London's Borough Market ... which proved a fab way to end our birthday celebrations. Reluctantly, we headed home on The Tube for our equally charming but much more modest digs.

Our stay at Shangri La Hotel at The Shard was for my 30th birthday (celebrations delayed a year due to covid).
On our original booking we requested a room with a bath tub with a view. On arrival we were told that no rooms with this feature were available. We asked the lovely Rita C to recheck for us. RIita spent about 30 minuets tapping away on the computer and ringing colleagues. She then returned to us to tell us it has been possible to find this room but there would be a short wait for room inspection. We were over joyed, so much so I actually cried! (happy tears of course)
The room was jaw droppingly beautiful. The view was of Tower Bridge and the Thames and was spectacular. And the bathroom! 😍 It was a dream come true.
We also had coffee in the Ting bar and cocktails in the Gong Bar.
We had our evening meal in Aqua at The Shard.
We ordered breakfast to have in our room and the pouched eggs, avocado and sourdough was unbelievably delicious.
The pool and sauna were beautiful and everything was clean. We went swimming at 730 and the pool was quite and relaxed.
Rita C worked her socks off to make this stay extra special for us and her effort and kindness will be remembered forever.
Staying at the hotel was a dream come true.

A very welcoming place and easy checking in process. Everything went smoothly from start to finish. The views are even better than you would imagine. We tried booking dinner reservations at the Oblix (last minute) but they were fully booked (as you would expect); we mentioned it to the lovely staff in passing comment and a short while after they called our room to say they had secure us a table! Their own room service food is also fantastic. Definitely recommend.

Amazing at all levels, the bedroom, the view, the restaurants/bars, the staff, and the facilities (gym and pool). The massage/treatment was good but the AC was broken so it was cold in the therapy room. Also the infinity pool is not that big but other than that every thing is perfect.
j. j.
Our toilet didn’t work properly, also unpleasant smell we did say but no one came.
You didn’t serve Malibu
We couldn’t get in the restaurant
Didn’t make us feel special no drink upon arrival
Also had a traumatic exit which resulted in us coming down 45 floors of fire exit stairs which are feeling the pain today!! We were in the lift and couldn’t get out at reception and ended up getting stuck in fire exit with no idea what was happening as no communication at all and staff to be seen at all.

Afternoon tea in Ting Restaurant, Shangri-la Hotel at the Shard was amazing.
Fabulous food (and plenty of it) presented impeccably.
Jing, our waitress, was welcoming and very attentive.
Highly recommended.
Oh, and there are some views of the city too....
E.
Breakfast great value for great food .. all staff from housekeeping to reception to restaurant are so helpful and polite they all deserve a pay rise in my opinion all bend over backwards to look after you .. location of shard is great …
l. w.
My husband and I had the most amazing experience at the shard this evening. I have some intolerances and this was not a problem at all, all the staff ensured I was well catered for and my meal was excellent. I felt so special. The shard was an absolutely amazing place to be .
Perfect for my 40th
Thankyou so much 💖xx
D. S.
View of London was amazing, food was OK, nothing special. Cocktails = £18 each wouldn't rush to go back! Ooo and if you want beer instead £7 a bottle 😣
A. S.
4th stay at this amazing hotel. Most recently came for my boyfriends birthday and it was fantastic. The level of service at all times is simply impeccable. Special thanks to Emily at reception with the room arrangements. We loved it! Cannot wait to stay again, it’s always like a little slice of heaven. Highly recommend

Before arrival, we received multiple emails from multiple people asking us different questions, it felt very unorganised.
On the day, we arrived at 2pm (as we’d communicated we would in advance) and were told the room wasn’t ready and we would be called when it was. We were not offered use of facilities whilst waiting.
Disappointingly, we were asked at check-in why we were staying - we’d communicated in advance about our anniversary so I would have expected the check-in person to be aware.
Unfortunately, we never received a call to say our room was ready. At 4pm we returned and collected the keys - we never received an apology for lack of call and on collecting keys, we had to ask for information on services available as we weren’t given any willingly.
Our luggage, as we’d arrived early we left our luggage and were told it would be placed in our room ready for us, it wasn’t. We had to have two calls and it took approx 30 mins before it arrived.
Our room - obviously views are amazing. However, why face the sofa and/or bed away from the views?! The reason everyone stays is for the views, not being able to comfortably sit and watch seems silly. Seating generally - no where comfortable to eat room service (hence we didn’t order any although we wanted to).
Room amenities - for such a hotel, you don’t offer anything for free except one bottle of water and some tea/coffee. Not even fresh milk. Two cups one saucer, just basic. Nothing in our room to acknowledge our anniversary on arrival. No usb plugs. Basic and poor tv channels.
Room turn down - we were not informed or asked if we wanted this. Super shocked to find it had been done and that when we returned after dinner someone had entered our room without our permission. At this point we did receive a surprise chocolate and card for our anniversary (which was a nice gesture) but felt a bit late as we weren’t back until after 10pm!
Amenities - gym equipment is basic and disappointing. No music in the room and the headphones don’t work, the room also small. Pool was lovely. No idea if any treatments were available as these weren’t communicated.
Food/drinks - we’d prebooked Gong but on arrival we’re weren’t treated like hotel guests. I’d expect for them to be aware we were staying (and where) and seat us on a different side to our room (so we could experience a different view). I’d also expect them to know about our anniversary and not to be told you only have the table to 1.5 hours on arrival. Felt like we’re we’re on a countdown from the word go. Service was poor, struggled to get the waiters attention and he gave us wrong drinks. Not great.
Breakfast - annoying that we’re went offered this in advance through all the communications but luckily we’d booked. A big deal was made about us having to pay for our it, not sure why, we already knew. Plus a big deal was made about hurrying us along. We were there only 40 mins max and had the server asking if we wanted anything more to drink abs bringing a bill to sign (which we hadn’t requested) all at the same time. I don’t expect a bill until I request one.
Hotel lifts - why oh why do you not have guest only lifts and more lifts?! To get out of the hotel it takes two lifts which you have to share with visitors to restaurants/bars. Really disappointing and it takes so long. Guests should have separate lifts. To checkout we waited 10 minutes for two packed lifts which we couldn’t get in so then took the service elevator with some random kids who were also waiting. Not sure what was going on. Shocking the lack of lifts. And also shocking we don’t have the option to walk down from our rooms to reception.
Checkout - why no express option so we could avoid queuing and reception altogether? We requested our receipt to be emailed, still waiting for the bill.
Overall - you have amazing views but where is the polished 5 star experience? It does not match up to other hotels in London. It did not feel amazing, we did not feel special. Actually left stressed and disappointed.
A. K.
My wife and I stayed in the Iconic City View Room which has spectacular views over the City of London. Without exception, all members of the staff were very welcoming and attentive from the moment we checked in and during the whole of our stay at the Shangri-La which was a most memorable one.
T. K. Z.
Stayed one night at the Shangri-La for a birthday treat (the deluxe city view room). The staff are all so friendly and welcoming, the sky pool was amazing and Covid safe (only allowing a limited number of people per session), a breakfast buffet at Ting was also included which had a variety of options. All in all, fantastic place for a short stay.
M.
Stunning views of London from my room. Breakfast buffet was delicious!
J. C.
The most awesome hotel I have ever been to. The staff were excellent the whole time and we were able to book the restaurant and bar with constant amazing views. Marie and the sommelier (i can't remember his name but it began with an N) a dinner were great. Breakfast was included in the room offer and they bring it to your room if you prefer a small fee with a table and everything.
R. G.
The system letting people into the pool was poor. Guests waiting inline very close to each other (ref COVID 19). I suggest entry is controlled before guests arrive at the pool or have a booking system.
Overall our stay was great. The 5 course Asian menu with wine was excellent. The sommelier was top class.
Definitely recommend but it isn't a Four Seasons!

Stop breathing view! ❤️ The food yummy ! Cocktails wow! Friendly stuff! Cute afternoon tea! The beverage options endless! Recommend for special occasions and to make your day special!

Emirates holidays along with Visit Britain arranged famtrip wayback June 2018, i was lucky enough to join the group of travel agents from Dubai. We stayed here for 2 nights and I can say that this is perfect hotel with huge rooms and overlooking the london bridge. Customer service is excellent. Food is great. Everything is recommendable. Thumbs up to hotel staffs specially to Ms Shazia Fleming who is the Director of Sales.❤️🤗

Came here for part of our honeymoon as an alternative to going abroad. Views are spectacular, restaraunt is a perfect fine dining experience.
Staff extremely friendly and personable

Me and my wife love to travel and throughout all our travels we have never experienced customer service like at the Shangri-la London. We keep returning and this place keeps surprising us. We would highly recommended this hotel to couples or families. It's truly amazing. We would like to thank everyone in the Shangri-la for making us feel at home can't wait until we return again! Thank you Alan&Franziska

We enjoyed our stay at the Shangri La Hotel - The Shard. However, there were a few things that we were very disappointed with.
Firstly, When we arrived at Reception to check-in, my wife went to use the Hand Sanitiser. When she pressed down on the dispenser, sanitizer fluid shot out over her face and into her eye which caused her pain and soreness for the whole evening. Only when I requested, a staff member assisted my wife. At first, they did not seem concerned. First impressions were not great. Barely an apology was even given.
Secondly, when we booked the Spa treatments, they were sold as being Spa Facilities. We found it very difficult to find the Spa Treatment Area. This was primarily because there are no Spa Facilities that you would normally find at a Spa Facility. We were shocked to eventually find that the massage treatment was in a hotel room with massage beds set up. We were also very displeased that the Masseuse was late. She arrived 20 minutes after our scheduled time of 17:00. During this time we had to awkwardly wait in the room where there are no chairs to relax. We also booked a 1-hour massage but found that the treatment ended after 50 minutes. For such an extravagant price, we would have expected the full hour and also the staff to turn up on time.
Thirdly, In the evening, I tried to run a bath for my wife. however, the bath taps were not working. We called the service desk multiple times to report this. As a result, we ran out of time to use the bath. This was highly disappointing. Again, for such a high price on the room, we would have expected the Bath to be functional.
The views were great but the Service overall was sometimes poor. Staff appeared to be overworked and less friendly than most hotels I have stayed in. Without the London views, I would lean towards a 3-star rating.
On a positive note, The waiter at Tings, Francesco, was fantastic. He really made our stay more enjoyable. Following the day's events at the hotel, he really cheered us up. Also, the Crew at the Concierge was very helpful. Water bottles were offered due to the warm weather and the service there was exceptional.
Overall, breathtaking views aside, too many situations resulted in disappointment with the Shangri La Hotel. I would have requested a refund on the Massages but we didn't want to spend our time complaining. We were only staying for one evening and didn't want to let this ruin our time.
G. E.
Wonderful Hotel, beautiful rooms and facilities, stunning views from 36th floor. Lovely chinese restaurant.
M. L.
I was very disappointed with the check-in process. It was badly disorganised. We were told we would be given priority for our room but it wasn't ready at 4pm. We had to wait around for 2hours before being able to go to our room and by then the spa was closed. We had arrived hoping to use the spa in the afternoon. We tried to go the next morning but it was full and children's swim. We had to go back to our room to wait for a call. When we returned to the spa, it was so noisy with children, we couldn't stay long. The lifts in the hotel took forever each time aswell. The reception area is not very clear as to which desk to stand out so it was a free for all. We had come to stay at the hotel to celebrate my partner's 50th but we were very disappointed by our experience. I can highly thank Kimberly on Reception who kindly gave us an extended checkout time. However, we couldn't use the spa due to noisy children. It wasn't the relaxing escape we had hoped for and overall very disappointed.

Wow what an experience. We enjoyed a night at the Shard, I booked as a surprise for my partners birthday ( as did Peter Andre for his wife, the same weekend 🤣 we shared the elevator with them! )
Everything is just perfect, it’s definitely a bucket list experience. The views are incredible, we were so lucky we had beautiful weather. The room and bathroom were gorgeous, on floor 48. Champagne chocolates and flowers we in the room when we returned from our visit to Covent Garden’s. My only criticism was that the tv and cabinet were really surplus to requirements as they spoiled the view 🤣 laying in bed would have been incredible to see floor to ceiling view of London. But tv blocked it out. However when stood up, you could see right across the city. We had view of Thames and St Paul’s. I could have stood for hours enjoying the view, but we managed to tear ourselves away to enjoy cocktails in the Gong bar on level 52 again incredible views and divine (very strong in alcohol) cocktails 🍹
We enjoyed a swim and sauna the following morning which was surreal, like swimming in the sky. Following a delicious buffet breakfast, plenty of choice for everyone fresh fruit, honey and yogurt followed by full English, but there’s continental, Japanese, so much choice, all fresh and replenished constantly. All in all a fabulous, night away. Would love to go again and highly recommend.
m. r.
Amazing service! Greats bars and restaurants within the Shard! Definitely worth the cost and we will stay again.
C. T.
My friend and I booked our night at The Shard during lockdown, to cheer ourselves up and give us something to look forward to. Our actual stay did not disappoint - lovely staff, great room and views, amazing food.
B. D.
Great stay again. Fantastic views and service with 2 room cleans a day. The gym isn't particularly kitted out but it has enough. The pool is lovely and unique with cracking views Abit annoyed that they tried to enforce a minimum spend limit at the Gong bar AFTER we finished our first drinks.
R. B.
The hotel facilities are excellent, the staff in the restaurant are also very good.
Unfortunately we were let down by the concierge service a few times. A number of times, no answer on the phone. When we did get hold of them we then had to chase for things that didn't arrive. Not a 5 star service unfortunately.

Hi,
I realise that running a destination hotel on the first decent weekend of the year, on a bank holiday, just after lockdown eased, is complex.
The following comments are given in the spirit of informing The Shard Management so that constructive training or process improvements can be implemented.
On check-in it appeared that the set up of our room had been rushed;
- There was rubbish in the disposal bin
- There was only one room gown
- There was blutack stuck to the bedhead
- There was no laundry bag
- This was, as requested, a 'disabled' room, yet there was no seating in the shower area and I did not discover how to lower the bathroom support rails to actually provide stability support.
The last was particularly important to me as I don't want to be made to feel more disabled than I am - particularly in front of a new girlfriend. Having to ask room service for a stool to be provided kinda calls attention to the fact that my legs are weak.
Overall, however, our stay was very enjoyable and please express my thanks to the staff who could not have been more helpful in resolving our issues and making the stay a very pleasant one.
Best regards,
/Nick

The Shangri-La at The Shard just makes you feel at home whenever you are not home. Great service, friendly employees, always clean, nice views, well located just next to London Bridge station. Gym and Pool exceeded my expectations.
I stayed two nights and had an amazing room facing the city of London. The staff cleaned the room twice a day and made my stay comfortable and enjoyable.
I highly recommend staying at this Hotel or even just for a drink at the amazing bar on the 53rd floor.
S. P.
the parking facilitiy was not publisied very well so I had to make my own arrangements.
Also, the restaurant and room service could benefit by having basic food options like pizza or chicken dish, even Fish & Chips.
C. T.
Loved my stay here, beautiful views and Friendly staff.
a.
My stay at the Shangri La hotel was absolutely amazing, especially because of Bassam who was a polite, well-mannered, helpful and caring gentleman. He made us feel welcomed and comfortable, thank you so much Bassam!!!
C. S.
We stayed at the Shard for a night as a birthday treat The panoramic views from the room and every area of the hotel are outstanding.
The rooms are perfect with everything you need, including toothbrushes, which was handy as I forgot mine and L'Occitane products. Heated toilet seats and floors in bathroom, a TV in the mirror so makes showering much more fun.
Binoculars on the desk were a lovely touch to look at the amazing views. Large comfy bed with down pillows made for a very comfortable, rested nights sleep
We had a drink in the Gong bar, before our dinner reservation. The staff were amazing, as soon as a window seat became available we were politely asked if we would prefer to sit there which if course we did. The drinks were lovely. It was dimly lit which made the view spectacular by night overlooking Tower bridge, Tower of London and the Thames. The lighting also made it easier to take photos of the view as no reflections.
We didn't use the pool whilst there but had a look in the morning and there were people sitting around drinking coffee etc which was nice as again it has panoramic windows.
We had room service for breakfast which was really nice, well cooked, presented, and delivered.
The scent of the place is wonderful, I wish I could have bottled it to take home and am kicking myself for not asking if it was available to purchase.
If you're considering a stay here I highly recommend it.

Stayed at the Shangri-La Hotel last month for 1 night and it was outstanding form arriving to leaving! Very good with children, food was brilliant, views and spa spectacular! Alan Tang looked after us and is service was great! Such a lovely guy and so helpful, they even gave my two small children colouring in books, bath washes in cute little boxes, chocolates the whole stay was spectacular!
Will definitely be returning
All Thanks To Alan
M. H.
we waited over 1 hour and 15 minutes for our cases to be delivered to our rooms. I suggest a review of this service.
also breakfast service was a bit hit and miss. I was surprised to see a buffet service still, especially under COVID-19 service restrictions, where buffets were not recommended. the layout of the counters were a bit squeezed, to allow for a flow system, but this did not work, causing large ques
M. H.
Amazing, from the afternoon tea to the views, and the staff are brilliant too.

Stefan and the team did their absolutely best! My boyfriend, whos birthday we were celebrating was over the moon! The best stay and hospitality ever! Thank you so much, cant wait to be back !
j. h.
We had a fantastic experience at the Shangri-La. As you enter the hotel lobby, you are immediately greeted with a friendly face of the welcome host and this amazing smell of fresh flowers. Check in and out was quick and efficient, and we were swiftly brought up to our room which had the amazing view over the Thames looking down to Tower Bridge and beyond.
The room was lovely and the bathroom well equipped with toiletries and other necessities, all replenished as required.
The swimming pool was adequate for us, but could feel crowded with a few more people around.
The hotel bar was really busy, we had to wait on both occasions we visited to get a window seat. Staff were very attentive.
Location of the hotel was excellent, very convenient to the tube at London bridge, and close to Borough market and all that it offers.
Overall, we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and although expensive, we really felt it was worth every penny and we will return this summer.
L. H.
Lovely views from the room. Friendly helpful staff. After a delay in our room being ready, they couldn't help enough. They were very apologetic. Gorgeous views from all parts we saw, gym well thought out, with extra water and towels, pool lovely and sauna great for relaxing while taking in the city skyline.

This was a surprise for my husband. We had a one night stay with bed breakfast and additional dinner at Ting in the evening.
The booking could have been smoother as I tried calling several times before I managed to secure a booking. However they certainly redeemed themselves after this , the service is impeccable. I made a few requests about the room requirements and window seating during breakfast and dinner and every single one was fulfilled. We had a top up of water at no extra cost and also complimentary sweets.
The plus point of our visit :
1. Service - all requests fulfilled , very welcoming and friendly right down to the doorman.
2. Breakfast was very good ! A lot of options and nothing looked cheap.
3. The premium washlet and the free standing bath tub with a view.
4. Rooms were elegantly decorated. We had one of the smallest rooms on our floor but yet it is bigger than your average room in other hotels we have stayed at.
5. Starts and desert at the Ting was lovely.
6. The view is remarkable even on a rainy/cloudy day, the night view was worth it
7. Toiletries in the bathroom
8. Binoculars provided
9. Stepane at the Ting was very welcoming and helpful
Could improve :
1. The main dish at the Ting was not to my liking
2. The mocktail wasnt anything special and was pricey
3. I believe we were charged extra for tea and drinks during breakfast even though breakfast was included in our booking 😳
4. Perhaps the main improvement- it was a bit cold in the room even though the temperature was set at 27 degrees it didn't feel warm at all. Felt like a draft coming from somewhere. The bathroom floor was meant to be heated aswel and I didnt feel this at all even when I changed the temperature in the bathroom.
N. F.
Where do I start. Stayed in a superior king size room. The whole experience was fantastic. Went out on Friday night, pouring with rain and forgot umbrella, concierge desk supplied one. When we entered our room the automatic blinds opened to reveal London for miles and miles (our room was on the 47th floor). The room was spacious and well equipped. The bathroom was stunning, a bath and walk in shower along with a heated toilet seat complete with built in electric b-day. Customer relations were second to none and the restaurant on the 35th floor was excellent. The staff offered to turn down the bed and everyone were friendly and always said hello with a smile on their face. The hotel was very COVID safe with clear signs and hand sanitizers. Will recommend this hotel and would love to go back for another stay
I. A.
Absolutely amazing service on the phone for booking a daycation. Spoke to Julia today and her service was impeccable, exactly what you expect for a five star service! Excellent!
F. T.
The staff we unwaveringly diligent, friendly and helpful and every one of our requests, no matter how big or small, was met with good grace and friendliness. Particular shout outs to Sabrina and Shelron at Ting who made our Sunday night meal very special indeed.
W.
We stayed at the Shard for a special birthday occasion. The view from our suite was out of this world. Our room was not ready when we arrived so they treated us to a free drink in their sky bar. We also had a free room upgrade to the front of the Shard as it was a Sunday. It is a wonderful experience sleeping and waking up so high up in the sky and it is so peacefully quiet. We used the gym and looked out over South London. The swimming pool was amazing looking at St. Paul's Cathedral. The shard is truly the best hotel with a view and the best building on the London skyline.
M. F.
Ate at Ting Restaurant. Food OK but nothing exceptional. Menu descriptions focus on allergens rather than the dish. What arrives is often a surprise. Let down by uncomfortable tables that appear dirty because the marble surfaces have been poorly maintained. Loud background music off-putting too. Fantastic views if you are lucky enough to get a window seat.
V. K.
It was a great experience which was only because of the view from the room and the pool. Staff members on the ground floor and swimming pool very good. The facilities in the room were excellent.
Now talking about the reception, it seems to be too compact with very limited space. I requested an early check-in at 2 pm but got the room at 2:45 pm even when there were empty rooms I believe. You are paying a lot so little extra should be provided so that the customer comes back next time without thinking. I see the management being greedy and asking for money for everything. We asked for plates in the room and were told to pay £5 for it.
R. N.
Superb location on the shard London. Stunning London view. Outclass
X. Y.
Rooms are all of odd shapes because of the unique design of the building. One of the two lifts linking ground floor with 35/f lobby is broken, so waiting for lift is common. The breakfast is good in quality, but don’t know why omelet is not included but has to be ordered with extra fee. The west facing rooms can be too bright and hot because of sunlight in the afternoon. Staff are usually very polite and helpful.
E. T.
The experience was really good, the service and all the spaces are amazing, I enjoyed very much the food and the efficiency of the room service.
The views from the room are incredible, you can stay all day long watching London and don't get tired. Maybe the only problem is the reflection that the glass of the Shard structure makes, I was able to see the next room, and they could see me in the bed or in the bathroom as well.
The breakfast is awesome, I'm glad I chose to take it.
I'm excited to go to the rest of Shangri-La hotels.

Absolutely amazing. Best place I've stayed in...EVER

Excellent meal at Ting Shangri La the shard. Our server ronette (excuse the spelling) was Excellent and made itna great all round experience!
C. E.
Lovely hotel with lovely restaurant and bars. Great location obviously.
A. W.
Beautiful building, our room was amazing. (4201) in my opinion a better view than anywhere else in the building that we visited, staff we're fabulous, kind, helpful and very well trained. We would love to stay again, the quality of the room made our weekend in London unforgettable.
L. B.
Amazing hotel and the staff were excellent. The room was stunning with great views and the cocktails in the gong bar were lovely.
Kimberley and Emily on reception were fab and made out stay even better. Thank you
S. C.
Just wonderful, nothing other to say! The fantastic view from the room, even with a telescope. We enjoyed the big and technological room so much. My top choice in London! ** Also thanks for the samll cake gift for our honeymoon!
L. L.
This place was very nice especially with my lovely husband!
M. S.
As a wedding photographer, I get to visit all kinds of venues across London and taste all kinds of food but OMG, the Shangril-La London is without questions one of the best venues and restaurants we have been too. If you are thinking of booking the Shangril-La for any event, DO IT!
T. I.
A stunning hotel with exceptional service. All spaces -- from the guest rooms to the restaurants, gym, pool, event rooms even to the rest rooms -- have incredible views. It may be worth it to stay here just for those views! The food and service were all faultless while I was here. Location is great: right next to the underground and also next to Boroughs Market. This place is truly special. I hope to be back.
G. P.
My sisters and I spent four days at the Shard and it was beyond all expectations! The service, the spectacular iconic view, the appointments in the room and the food were all top shelf. We have stayed in many 5 Star Hotels and the Shard tops them all. We will be back!
Highly recommended!

The Shangri-La Hotel at The Shard is a must stay for anyone thinking of booking a trip to London. Alongside the stunning rooms with the incredible views, the hospitality and the venues on site such as GONG Bar and TING are absolutely amazing. I recommend combining a stay with afternoon tea at Ting and cocktails at GONG, especially before sunset. It is a memorable experience!
Date of stay: November 2020

Lovely room and beautiful views. We stayed during Mid Autumn and received a moon cake which was very thoughtful. Decorated our room beautifully for our proposal. We will be back

Shangri La always offers better alternative worldwide. This one has rooms with a the best view of London, good facilities and decent breakfast. I would highly recommend it if this is what you are looking for.
If you do not plan to stay here, but plan to step into this building - Save your time and a fee going to The View at Shard - add few ££ and make you way to Ting, just few levels below, for a meal with a View included (preferably, if you can reserve a window table).
Awesome venue to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or pop in without any occasion - nice choice of afternoon tea, good lunch or dinner.

Thank you to all of the team for making our stay feel so special. I would also like to personally thank Sabrina our waitress & Franziska the guest relations manager.
Remarkable hotel with great facilities & restaurants with a view from the clouds.

An amazing hotel. The great detail paid in every respect is wonderful. Staff are attentive and cannot do enough to help. The food was delicious, as we're the unusual drinks available in the bar. The room was made even nicer with the small touches such as binoculars and a torch. The beds were a delight and extremely comfortable

We have stayed here several times now and aside from the fantastic view rain or shine, day or night the stay is memorable and highly gratifying. I cannot recommend this hotel enough for special occasions. The staff are wonderful, the rooms clean and room service fantastic. Everything you expect from a 5 Star hotel and more.

It was a lovely experience, with afternoon tea and breakfast the following day. We were a little disappointed with the sandwiches, included in the afternoon tea. We expected a little more than ham, egg and cheese, even though they did come with mayonnaise, pickle and seasoning. We felt they could have been more adventurous. The tea cakes, however, were delicious and the candy floss was a nice touch.

Exceptional hotel. The hotel had a very unique design and the staff were friendly and kind. The view from our room was breathtaking. Overall it was a lovely experience and would definitely come back!

The hotel staff were excellent and accommodating. We arrived at 7 am. While check-in was not until 3 pm, they found us a room by 9 am.
The location is unparalleled. It is in the middle of everything.
The view is unreal - as stated previous, you are in the middle of everything. On top of that, you are above everything. The pool is on the top floor and overlooks the city.
The rooms have sweeping views of London (which is beautiful both night and day). The bathrooms have heated floors and heated toilet seats. A heated toilet seat is a game changer in the middle of the night.
Stay here.

What a fantastic and unbelievable hotel, the service and attention to detail is world class.

We did not stay at the hotel but had tea at ting in the 35th floor. The view was amazing and perfect at 3pm to see all the lights come on when it gets dark. The scones and finger sandwiches were nice but we did not enjoy the festive treats to much . The service was a little disjointed however we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Well this is 5 star or 6 star hotel at the heart of London. There is nothing much to complain about the hotel. The staff are friendly and quite helpful. The view is amazing from the top. The food is good of course. The meeting rooms are very well equipped and have all the modern facilities.
If have enough money to spend then why not.
The only into are views from the hotel.

Breakfast at the Chard. Wonderful London at 7.00 to 8.00 in the morning. Food great but please put poached eggs on and loose the 1960/700 piped music. Service wonderful and the Views words cannot describe it. I would poach all the restaurant and reception staff. Great Value.

The hotel rooms aren't wow. They're definitely 5* standard, and they're pretty nice but when you consider the building you're in they're not at that standard. Views are incredible though, but that's kind of a given. They also give you binoculars which is nice cause you can spy on random people across London.

Amazing experience for my birthday. The waiters were fantastic. Especially one Filipino waiter with glasses. He was excellent I do apologise for forgetting his name. He made us feel welcome and was very friendly. All the staff there made us feel welcome and comfortable. They talked us through the menu and explained everything. They also recommended some dishes for us which was very helpful. Once we spoke about our needs and comfort. We had requested a table with a view. They were really good and looked to accomodate us.
Now the food. This was amazing. Never had this experience before and for foodies this was amazing. Recommend fine dining 100%. Surprisingly it fills you up. The chefs who made the food are excellent cooks and their attention to details were fantastic. I would describe the food but the read might be boring.
The views of the shard unbelievable. Thats the only word i have.
Only issue. The parking at the place is £20. That isnt a problem. However when you are spending a good amount at the restaurant there should be a method in which you can reclaim the money back after a certain amount of spend.
Otherwise Shangri La. Thank you for the experience your staff and chefs made us feel very welcome.

I suffer from vertigo but was not affected . Really nice people mase to feel welcomed. Afternoon tea recommended.

A stay at this hotel is all about the view, it is incredible and there really is no other like it. HOWEVER as a hotel charging these prices the quality and specification of the rooms is not good enough. Views over London but only a single longing chair, meaning one of you sits on an uncomfortable office chair. Bed is set up sideways to the windows and view, why in earth would you not face out at the view!!! No usb sockets in the room, and only a single plug socket on one side of the bed. The rooms are a good size, but just so many things are not up to the standard you would expect for the cost.

Have stayed here a few times in the last few years but only now thought to write a review. Overall a great place to stay in while in London. Rooms are well appointed, location convenient to public transport, awesome views and lovely service. Pool on top is a nice amenity too.
What I like most about staying here is the ease of entertaining guests and visitors at the various dining options. The view alone leaves everyone satisfied.
Tip 1: smaller breakfast can be had at Lang downstairs vs. at Ting
Tip 2: rooms are non standard size and layouts so always a surprise what you get. Rooms do get smaller the higher up you go. Your choice really between size vs view but it took a few tries to come up with favorites. Tough to go wrong

Stunning!! The hotel building looks stunning and the stay was amazing and relaxing, seeing London from one of the highest buildings in the world is Fabulous. Very courteous and friendly staff. Just wish they add some dishes to the Food Menu from Indian Cuisine.

Came for my 6 year wedding anniversary I love it

Was one of the best afternoon high tea experience, excellent service from all staff members, with tasty savoury and plenty of sweet treats. Also the restaurant has one of the best views in London.

This is the highest and finest hotel in London. We enjoyed four nights here awhile back and loved it! The breakfast is outrageous! Te pol is small but nice. I would recommend using that in the morning because it is just not worth it in the evening with the children and all. The rooms are beyond imagination.

Amazing, amazing amazing! So great! I forgot our engagement ring so I emailed them and asked if they could help me out by making up something special. They went above and beyond by cooking a biscuit ring with gold leaf and presenting with great flair.
I couldn't have been happier with how our visit turned out.

Amazing venue. Enjoyed ever second of my visit

we loved the hotel and will definitely come back. the only criticism is the restaurant (ting) which is not up to the standards of the rest of the hotel.

Simply amazing!
I walked in on Saturday afternoon, it wasn't busy just a few other guest.
I've visited the shard a few times however this was my first time at the Lang. I went alone and the girls who were working there : Sofia and Christina made me fell so welcome and comfortable.
I ordered the chicken sandwich and a bottle of champagne with a cup of elderflower( I like to mix the two together). Everything came quick sharp the food was fantastic and the champagne was even better.
The restaurant was very clean kept, the only downside is the fact there was only 1 toilet form men and women the share- however given the size of the restaurant I could understand. It's fairly small.
I say outside as it was a lovely day I stayed for so long I didn't realise they were closing, the girls were so sweet and didn't rush me just waited until I was finished and ready to leave.
I would highly recommend this place if you're ever near London Bridge and don't fancy the noise of being inside the shard.
Perfect for: a day time date
Tea with the girls
Coffee and cake before work
Lunch time business meetings

Once you get over the overly fake smiles and the over familiarity of the staff you can enjoy this place. The food was excellent but the wait between meals was a bit long. Breakfast service is quite slow and really noting special. Rooms are a little compact but then they're stuck for space. A tip for management.... Treat everyone like royalty and not just your wealthy guests.

The room was really spacious, spectacular bathroom, and fantastic views. The location is fantastic, with Borough Market just round the corner and London Bridge station underneath.
The let downs were:
The breakfast - really shocked that there was no egg station, as standard in 5* hotels. Not a big variety. Gluten free toast was dire.
TV - few channels, no options to buy movies, no AirPlay or anything like that, which considering this is a newish hotel was a bit surprising.
I would love this hotel for staycations bu for the TV situation.

The best hotel in London.
It starts with entering the hotel. You are warmly welcomed and automatically feel important. Here you immediately realize that the customer is in the foreground and that they want to fulfill every wish you might have.
The rooms are breathtaking, as well as the view from the window.
I can only recommend to have stayed here at least once.

Stayed one night at this hotel and it was a very good experience from the start to finish. Professional level of service and very clean hotel. We were greeted by Adrien who kindly showed us our room and explained the complimentary things and facilities offered to us and showed us what we have available to use in our room. Amazing views from our hotel room and we would most deffonitly visit and stay again. Our hotel room, bedding and bathroom was amazing and had good air conditioning systems in place, only downfall was that the room did smell like cigarettes when entering the room after leaving it for sometime but this soon dissapeared and could no longer smell it. Overall would Recommend!!

This hotel exceeds all expectations. I'm a very frequent traveler and I stay only at 5 star hotels. The service is exceptional. The staff is well trained and make every guest feel special, at home and valued. Kelly and the hospitality team add nice welcome touches (this time round I got a nice champagne) which add to the experience. Also, the views, by London standards are incomparable. The London skyline viewed from the floor-to-ceiling windows through a bathtub create a very romantic experience. Highly recommended for couples and business travelers (there's a comfortable office desk near the window which allows guests to work with a view). Good job Shangri-la!

We stayed here in 2017 amazing views of the London bridge amazing rooftop pool very nice comfy rooms pan Aramaic views from the restaurant we will have to stay here again!

Stayed here on business on June, and was blown away by the service. Definitely the best hotel I’ve experienced in London in terms of service. Shaden (from the front desk) went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Room service were very accommodating to my dietary requirements. The rooms were also a great in terms of size and cleanliness.

Absolutely stunning. This hotel is just everything a top class hotel should be. Great food, ambience, smells wonderful, decorated beautifully at Christmas and the staff treated us like royalty. Best hotel I've ever stayed at

Nice hotel in amazing building, but lacks that something special. Modern, large and comfortable rooms, but more about the views than anything else. Hotels signature bar on 52nd floor is trying to much to be a night club and not catering to hotel guests. Bartenders were great, but other staff were rude and pretentious. Hotel lacks the understate welcoming service of other Shangri La hotels and what makes other chains like Como and some Four Seasons.
