Wonderful! GO! In the midst of the Pandemic the tables were far enough apart, the staff was masked. You felt safe and cozy. Excellent Service (Daniel). And the FOOD! BEST FISH & CHIPS I HAVE EVER HAD! The Buttermilk Chicken gets 7 stars!! The brown crab! GO!!

Probably one of the best (if not the best) pubs in London. The food is amazing and the staff very friendly. Location is right next to the beautiful Hampstead Heath, great for digestive walks

Stunning rooms at the inn. Fantastic food. And incredible service across the board. We organized dinner for a party of 10 and booked several rooms. The booking process was easy, and the value of the per person cost of the set menu was great. Our server took amazing care of us, pacing the meal out slowly upon our request, allowing us to enjoy the evening. The Ellis and Keats rooms were both gorgeous. The aesthetic is carefully crafted and there are thoughtful details everywhere. I was a bit worried about storing our large cases in the Ellis room, but it’s been designed so that cases of this size easily slide beneath the bed. I would highly recommend the inn and restaurant and hope to be back to both!

Great place. Cosy on a winter's night! First time diner. Had best pub Christmas dinner ever. Staff very friendly. Can't fault the place at all and look forward to next visit.

It's a very British place where I really appreciated three things: the kindness of the staff, the cleanliness of the room and the toilet, the possibility of bringing dogs in tow. And the cooking? The chef could make better but in general the food was enjoyed, especially the steak. However, I will return because I really appreciate the restaurants where the staff are born and bred English. I'm Italian but I adore them!

An absolutely brilliant place for a solo dining experience. I asked my friends and it was unanimous that I visit this institute. I arrived shortly after it opened at 12.30, and was told they could accommodate me at the bar. I was ravishing and gladly obliged. It was so nice as I got to have friendly chats with Megan and Freddie at the bar, who were enthusiastic and in good spirits. They made methe best drinks and Coffee.
I went for the sirloin with the roast dinner for my meal, and boy did it impress. It was flavoursome, and so filling. The meat was cooked perfectly, with the seasoning just fine. I was offered horse radish sauce and extra gravy *being a northerner I love me Gravy!* I would say to definitely visit but to book in advance - I'm told it can be a month! Or chance it like me for opening time. You won't be disappointed. Finally the galette dessert was heavenly I don't usually like cooked fruit but this was so perfectly matched with cream and ice cream. Did not have any faults and happy to come again with friends. Do not miss it if in NW5! H

The food here is excellent! You must try all the starters. We loved the fresh seafood pasta in particular. The staff are super friendly, and helpful. We still need to try the Sunday Roast here.

The prices are criminal - £17 for a quarter of a cabbage! That being said, the Ferrero Rocher ice cream is some of the best I’ve tasted. Stop off for an ice cream and swerve the pricey mains.
R. G.
Consistently good food, however prices have gone up since the last time I went, and truthfully some prices are cheeky in my opinion, a portion of anchovies as a starter portion for £8 consisted of 8 individually filleted anchovies, £1 a fillet is day light robbery.. Other than that delicious
M. G.
The best fish and chips. The best I can remember having. Amazing food here at the B&L. Delightful apricot, ginger and vanilla soft serve dessert too.
A. D.
Very good food. Nice option next to Hampstead Heath and Gospel Oak Station. No terrace but 4 outside tables with umbrellas.
R. R.
Wonderful lunch on a Friday! Lots of parents with little ones in prams - casual relaxed atmosphere! Couldn’t possibly be a better spot!

A nice and lovely local pub with great Sunday Roast.
The food was very good, delicious, decent potion, well presented and delicious.
Service was good, welcoming, friendly and caring.
The location is good, just near to Hampstead Heath, which could be a great park to have a walk after a good meal.
My reason for the 4 stars, rather than 5 is the price and the value for money. I can respect posh/expensive places, and it's fair to charge as a high end restaurant, however, the Bull and Last isn't.
An average of £50 per person, for a meal (Sunday Roast, a cocktail, side dish and dessert) is too expensive while the quality and the outstanding factors are totally missing. The food was good, but not outstanding to justify the high price, the vegan Roast was missing gravy for the Yorkshire pudding, the desserts were average, the Bloody Mary wasn't made with a good tomato juice, and the espresso at the end was bad in flavour. All of this sitting just next to the road and on a branch table. To conclude, this does not justify the high price.
L. P. E.
The staff kindly let us have a table even though it was full and mostly reserved
Was not rushed and it has a nice ambience. Good vibe from the staff and will return soon
T. F.
Excellent atmosphere and absolutely delicious food. The pefect place to be on a cold wintery night.
E. S.
The best roast I have had in London so far. They cater well for people with allergies as well as vegetarians. Great service and a very clean pub. Will go back
J. S.
Absolutely superb. Great staff, cosy feel, dog friendly. And the food was exquisite. Can't praise my visit enough. Will certainly be back when I am in the area.
A. M.
Delicious, high quality food, lovely drink selection & a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
K. O.
The most incredible rib steak forget the places that overcharge for medicore steak and get yourself down to The Bull and Last Parliament Hill and Top Service
E. H.
An absolute favourite of mine for many years. Everything is perfection as it never disappoints, especially the scotch eggs.
A. G.
Really attentive service for a party with quite a few allergens. Cosy venue and a great menu - the prime rib was sensational.
C.
Great wine, great food (excellent Sunday roast), great service and great atmosphere. Would love to see lamb on the roast menu and a few more desert wine options
C. T.
Love this pub, the food was some of the best food we've had, the fish and chips was incredible and the best sticky toffee pudding ever! We sat outside and the waitress was so lovely coming out in the freezing and was so friendly and knew so much about the wine! Definitely be back
T. S.
Very nice good, both fish and meat. Not cheap but understandingly on the higher end for quality.
M. C.
Stopped in a few years ago and I was just thinking about how good the food was again. It was one of the only places open in the area as late as we were that evening. The food was delicious. I remember that I had something I would not have normally ordered and I was blown away. The desert was delicious as well. The ambiance was great! I would highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.
J. L.
In love with Bull and Last after getting their Valentine's feast take-out. Easy to put together and truly excellent - they show as much attention to detail and flavours in their take-away dishes as they do as a restaurant. If you're looking for a great take-out or delivery dinner, look no further
G. B.
Love this pub, even better (if possible!) since the refurb. Great food, friendly staff and such a lovely atmosphere. Really hoping they survive through corona as would be devastated if they didn’t. Banana crepe dessert was a highlight!!!
B. F.
Cold drinks, and great atmosphere. Local, laidback vibe with gastropub food that wouldn't look out of place in a fine-dining restaurant. Everything we ate from the menu was exceptional. High quality pub grub, with a daily changing menu. Great service too.
T. E.
We were well looked after, the waiters were attentive and the food excellent.
I'm a wheelchair user, the ramps were put out for me to allow entry to a step free restaurant.
E. G.
Really great service from the polish guy and a great beer recommendation last week. When he said the best pale ale in UK he wasn't joking. Will definitely come back
D. S. L.
Lovely food, great ample seating in and outdoors & super friendly, chirpy staff. Best selection of desserts out of all the pubs in Hampstead area! Great for a Sunday lunch or a quick stop-off drink while walking the dog. Would take friends and family here rather than the Spaniards Inn, it's closest neighbour. No silly quirks like having to queue outside until 12pm or not being able to sit inside without a reservation. Just a good quality pub and reasonably priced too for what you get.
B. P.
Great food and service. It is a bit pricey, but I think worth it. I think it may be a little confusing to some because it looks like any ordinary pub (something maybe to improve), when clearly it is not. It is a nice dinner with high quality ingredients. Minus one star for the tight dinner reserve times - we were kind of pushed out for the next reservation.
S.
Still the best roast in London! Great to see nothing’s changed, even though it’s been closed for 18 months following a refurb. Friendly staff and good wine list. Make sure you book a few weeks in advance, especially if going on a Sunday!
K.
Ordered via app, as per Covid regulations. Guinness had a poor head, no shtick to the glass, quite bitter & watery. Pretty poor.
J. B.
Very good cooking, the staff here were very generous and spot on with their recommendations. It's a bit pricey but this isn't bog standard pub fare, good place to go if someone is visiting and wants to try good british food. We had an incredible grilled peach, tomato and burrata dish, but it seems like the menu changes often which is encouraging!
A. A.
One of my favorite places near London. Wonderful (carbonated/chilled) beers on tap. They take their food seriously. Reserved tables go quick. Most of the staff are extremely pleasant. The Best Bits are the hidden gem on the menu, all of the smaller, crunchier bits when frying chips reserved for those willing to pay.
J. B.
Great meal, excellent friendly staff. Great wine list. Highly recommended
R. S.
Has to be my favourite restaurant in London been over 30 times. Constantly changing menu and always of an amazing standard. Also, totally laid back atmosphere. Service can sometimes be a little slow if it is very busy, but it is always worth it.
M.
Great staff, wonderful food and amazing atmosphere
C. S.
It's busy and you are going to want to reserve a table during peak times.. But there is good reason for that. Food looks top quality, they have a wide selection of sprints and craft lagers and ales. No fosters here baby!
They let dogs in, even have a bowl of dog biscuits. Staff are very hospitable and friendly, willing to talk to you about the beers or where the food is sourced. Been in a few times now and they have remember who I am which is something I always appreciate when choosing my boozer.
Plus I'm a UK grime kid at heart and they sell a beer called "so solid brew" apptly named after the world famous "so solid crew" singer song writers of the greatest UK grime singles "21 seconds".
Also they have a quiz on Sundays hosted by none other than channel 4s countdown contestant or champion (I can't remember fully what he was talking about) BEN.
Seemed like a very cleaver chap!
5stars

Amazing food and well-kept beer in this perfect, if expensive, pub. I had the fish and chips which were some of the best I've ever had. My friend had ravioli in a delicious saffron sauce. And lovely fresh ales on tap!
E. S.
I was served the best fish and chips in town, the portion is quite generous the fish was curled up like a boat. They also have good selections of wine and I had a Romanian one.
The menu is British with occasional French influences and has restaurant like ambiance so even good for romantic dinner.
A. P.
Amazing food and staff, always a pleasure to visit. The picnic basket is also a very cool concept with nicely curated high quality products
H. D.
This is probably the best gastropub I know in London! The food is great, there is a nice selection of beers and wine and the staff is very friendly. The onglet was perfectly cooked, the pig cheek is delicious, the fish&chips is excellent and the sticky banana toffee pudding is a killer. Better to make a reservation as it is a popular place.
P.
Had a lovely meal here. The staff were really helpful and friendly, even coming over to discuss the provenance of all the ingredients. Will definitely go back for a few drinks to check out the non-dinner offerings.
J. B.
Great roast and fantastic fish and chips. They have a good selection of beers, though not sure I would class Oranjeboom as an exciting and different beer! Would recommend if you are in the area though make sure you book as it gets very busy.
M. A.
Had my faves 'old fashioned' and it was very well done. Didn't have the pleasure to try the food however, the menu looked very appetising and the presentation of the dishes even better! Will definitely go back and eat there next time I'm in London.
S. K.
Friendly service and really good food. My mum and I went for a late lunch on a Tuesday ....around 2.45. Surprised how many others were in there too. Nice atmosphere with background music. Well cooked food. No pressure to order drinks in addition to the water given. Will definitely be back.
S. D.
Nice atmosphere and friendly service. Decent menu, though food was only about a 6/10. Soup was too salty, hake sauce tasted a little off, battered fish was watery and chips didn’t hold together well. Cavolo was good, and nice to have some different sides on offer.
j. j.
Wow... what an amazing little gem. You know those days when you're hungry, having walked for hour's in the cold and you need somewhere warm an cosy. This is it. Great food!! The fish board the best I've eaten for a long time. Wonderful service from our Italian waitress. Thanks for fitting in 2 hungry adults and a starving teen.
A. B.
A good midweek meal with a couple of friends. They fitted us in at short notice and with a smile. Decent food although not at all cheap, more decent restaurant than pub although the atmosphere at ground level was still that of a friendly north london middle-class local. Fish and chips good if not inspirational, a board of selected fish served well as an engaging main course. Worthwhile if it's convenient and what you're looking for.
A. C. G.
Good service, but the kitchen let's the team down! The food took more than 50 minutes to come out for 2 burgers a fish and chips and a mackerel dish. When it finally came the mackerel was still raw which was sent back. Although told by the waiter that the burgers are served pink mine was clearly raw, however the manager said that they are cooked through. I think not.
E. C.
One of the most reliable places to go for food. It is excellent quality, and always an ever-changing menu. Highly recommend a visit!
C. M.
Nice atmosphere and friendly service. Decent menu, though food was only about a 6/10. Soup was too salty, hake sauce tasted a little off, battered fish was watery and chips didn’t hold together well. Cavolo was good, and nice to have some different sides on offer.
E. T.
Excellent food and service, good pub in the area. It always busy, so we decided to go meal at their less busy hours. Portion is at good size and taste is good, nothing to complain. ,😁
J. M.
Great service and daily changing menu. Good range of vegetarian and meat dishes. Good selection of wine and limited but specialist wine by glass. Think it has just been refurbished.
R. A.
Classy gastropub with great food beer and wine...but you pay proper London prices for the quality.
m. r.
The food here is excellent (it’s not cheap but it’s worth it). They welcome dogs. Book well in advance for a Sunday lunch reservation (if it says they’re full online try calling as they kindly managed to squeeze us in)
I. T.
Incredible food and cozy atmosphere. Great decor and service make this place an option for a quiet night in private dining upstairs or in the pub any night of the week. Food quality is fantastic, great value for money.
C. D.
Very good food. Nothing much vegan on the menu but call ahead and they will definitely acccomodate you as everything is cooked fresh. Friendly staff. Gets a bit pricey if you order more than one course and also like a drink!
J. B.
The menu changes regularly and the food is all sourced from English farms and suppliers. Great selection of meat, fish and salads-huge portions of freshly cooked ingredients served by friendly staff. Order the chips if your dinner does not come with them. Must book a table as they are always full. Save room for the the Ferraro Roche ice cream for dessert
J. M.
We visited on a busy Sunday evening when the pub quiz was taking place, no reservation but they just managed to squeeze us in.
Really great service, amazing selection of gins and very good food. A bit of a buzz with the quiz taking place, lots of couples and friends getting together.
We had the puff pastry game pie with triple cooked chips, and roasted venison with celeriac purée, game kromeski, salsify & pistachios... I could eat it all over again, every week. We shared a dessert, couple of pints of ale, g&t and coffee, the bill came to around £70 for two.
E. R.
It's ok. The food is by and large (and I mean large) good, but it sometimes dips a bit in surprising ways. Table service is, again ok, but (and this is a constant gripe about places that claim to be child friendly) bring the kids' food first - don't make the kids wait while the adult dishes are served out. Drink service to the table is pretty much non existent.
I can also imagine that the beady eyes of the stuffed animals might be off putting to the average non-meat eater (or, non hunter and gatherer). I lowered my gaze and kept munching, but all the same. It's more north Scotland than north London.
But, weirdly, despite all of that, I'd go back. There's enough choice on the menu to satisfy a few visits. I might fetch my own beers next time though.
C. G.
We ate dinner here last night. £60 for 2 mains, 2 deserts and 2 beers.
The Fish and chips was flawless, very good indeed. The gnocchi was good but hardly worth £16. The deserts also were vastly overpriced. The “affogato” was a double shot, 1 boule of vanilla and a small brownie - £10. How they came to a price of £10 for this dish I don’t know but I sure feel stupid for paying it.
T. C.
A favourite gastropub in the area. Not prime on service but food is exceptional.
Seasonal menu very creative. I tried the home-made gnocchi with pumpkin seed dukkah. Stimulated all my taste buds. Tasted some of the fish and chips, soup and artichoke. Ideal for both lunch and early dinner.
Decor is suited for the food being served. Traditional and rustique.
I. J.
Established gastropub. Light downstairs even though tables are rather close. Upstairs is more of a dining room feel, but I miss the pub atmosphere. Food is inventive. Good range of beers on tap.
B. F.
Google seems to think this pub has permanently closed - it hasn't! It is conveniently located for a post walk on the heath refreshment, but most of the tables at weekends are tied up with food bookings. It clearly emphasises food so their drinks selection could do a little better though if you're in the area and genuinely looking for beer, then walking down the hill to The Southampton Arms may be your way forward.
M. L.
Really delicious food and super friendly and accommodating staff. A gastropub to revisit for sure!
C. A.
Apart from being rather noisy because it was full of people having a good time, I cannot fault the place. It deserves its foodie plaudits and high praise for its motivated and friendly staff. We are keeping our fingers crossed that when it reopens next year (sigh) it will have lost none of its charisma and gastronomic excellence. Au revoir....
C. R.
Decent Sunday roast. Yorkshire pud was a bit too close to burnt, but the meat & veg were perfect. Make sure you book on a Sunday, we were lucky to get a table just walking in. Feels more like a restaurant than a pub.
R. F.
Third visit to a gem of a pub which can best be described as "gastro rustic chic". Lots of dogs and pushchairs and a roaring coal fire, all at the foot of Parliament Hill. We absolutely loved the plateau of charcuterie and the artery clogging triple cooked chips. To finish off, the selection of independent brewers' tipples was truly impressive.
R. A.
A pleasant gastro pub offering an eclectic menu with choices across the range of meat and fish and veggie
P. N.
Beautiful pub opposite parliament hill park. Food is of the finest quality and many different beers and ales on offer. Friendly staff on hand at all times and a lovely relaxing experience.
R. W.
It’s expensive but if you’ve got the cash then you’ll certainly feel it was worth it. Service exceptionally good.
N. H.
How many positive reviews can one write...
I’ve enjoyed every incarnation of this pub...and since its gastronomical upgrade, every incarnation of the menu and the team serving it...with a special mention for the international mix in place today.
Thank you for the persisting excellence!
E. T.
One of the best pubs in London and has been for ages. Great room. Great food and drinks and great staff. The only option when you are anywhere nearby.
A. S.
I went to The Bull & Last late on a Monday evening, so I probably didn't see the gastropub at its best (and unfortunately the kitchen was closed too). But I can still see why it's so popular. It's a beautiful old-fashioned pub with gorgeous art lining the walls, as well as a good deal of taxidermy dotted about the place. They also stock Sipsmith gin and vodka, which gains them extra points from me. I'd love to come by here again for the Sunday lunch, which I've heard excellent things about.
A. K.
Much-hyped North London gastropub does not quite live up to the billing despite excellent food with patchy service and slightly too stripped-back decor.
Food took far too long to arrive and the apology of free ice cream did not quite make it up.
Make sure you book as this place always seems popular.
L. Z. S.
Very friendly staff. Great tasting beer. A little on the pricey side but all in all a great place to stop by.
C. R.
Brilliant menu, very friendly staff and a nice selection of interesting beers. Went as a group of eight including two children and had an excellent meal.
H. H.
Best soup I've ever had...and they went out of the way to accommodate my GF needs but could only give me half a slice of toast. Sadly no chicken or GF options on the menu. I asked if they had GF enquiries and the waiter said "yes, very many, every week" Hmmm... so they are not listening to their customers, pity.
J. D.
Firm gastropub favourite in North London. Have been many times and never disappointed. Particularly good charcuterie and seafood boards. Would suggest booking ahead to sit in the quieter upstairs dining area.
A. D.
Food menu full of character, very pleasant and cosy atmosphere. The soft polenta plate as a starter with ragu sauce and crispy onions was really tasty. Better to book a table in advance.
D. W.
Table service was excellent, food colourful with a fresh taste!!
S. A.
Amazing food and fabulous beer. A proper gastronomical delight!
G. H.
My friend, and regular of the Bull and Last, has been telling me to try the Sunday roast here for months. I have a really high bar when it comes to a roast, and having had so many bad ones over the years, I am always dubious about somewhere new. I had no need to be worried, the roasts were delicious!
The beef melted in the mouth, the Yorkshire's were big enough to take a bath in, and the veg and gravy were super tasty, really flavorful.
This place is closing for renovation soon, so get in there quick!
A. G.
Exceptional service and a great atmosphere for dinner. This is definitely a foodie pub, and the price of the menu reflects that. But worth it for a treat
T. H.
Love the food here. Some interesting takes on the usual gastro pub fare. If you make it to dessert try the raspberry sorbet; it's astoundingly good.
M. F.
Good, original food, nice atmosphere albeit too noisy (I am told it's quieter upstairs) and friendly service. Ice cream most unusual. Not cheap.
J. P.
Ludicrously good pub food, an outstanding wine list and a fun pub quiz on a Sunday evening. Staff are fun and polite. Pub is gorgeous and atmosphere is great.
C. R.
Lovely gastropub. Food was excellent. Service was great. Felt great going out again in total safety.
B. V.
Outstanding food, staff, and atmosphere. Food is fine-dining quality which explains why the tables go fast- make reservations in advance- worth the trip!
F. E.
Out of the ordinary kind and welcoming staff.
Cozy place and excellent food.
Can recommend the Steak Tartare, very well made, excellent taste.
G. C.
Great pub for a casual drink or meal.
Friendly staff, not overpriced and great Sunday roast!
Also do a fun pub quiz on Sunday evenings!
C. R.
Brilliant menu, very friendly staff and a nice selection of interesting beers. Went as a group of eight including two children and had an excellent meal.

Very nice local pub. Good food and good service. Looks like it is better to book a table, even on Tuesday nights!

Great pub with an upstairs restaurant. The food is a bit better and posher than most gastro pubs. The home made ice cream is the bomb. Try it!

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff
T. R.
Excellent food and Waitress superb. Book ahead to guarantee evening table.

Out of the ordinary kind and welcoming staff.
Cozy place and excellent food.
Can recommend the Steak Tartare, very well made, excellent taste.
J. P.
Always great food, and great atmosphere.
Recommend the Charcuterie Board, and the So Solid Brew. Their mains change frequently, but are always delicious.
L. M.
Great service. Had a large party in the upstairs room and everyone was super helpful. All went really smoothly. Food was good and great atmosphere
T. C.
Has to be top 5 pubs in London, fantastic food and dog friendly. Right next to the heath so perfect place to recoup after a long walk.
A. N.
Nice ambience and great staff. Good drinks but wasn't very impressed with my food. Chips were quite dry.
C. C.
Great food in large portions and friendly service. Though the wine list could be improved for value and choice
S. D.
Nice pub, drinks are decent priced for the area and service was good
M. W.
Nice food but overpriced and lacks atmosphere. Worth trying dessert though.
M. B.
Another very decent pub to visit after a walk on the heath. Pleasant ambience, good selection of beer and fantastic decor make it one of the better pubs in the area
D.
Omg. The roasts here are amazing. I suggest the pork or pork belly. :)
M. S.
Outstanding food, and impressive wait staff. The charcuterie plate is to die for, you might say (the pate is best I've ever had).
J. H.
There's a no-nonense attitude to food and drink. Good ales, obliging staff and really excellent food that makes no pretentions. This is the way a pub today should be.
O. A. d. R.
Very nice local pub. Good food and good service. Looks like it is better to book a table, even on Tuesday nights!
B. v. S.
Excellent food, £££ but worth it.
c. B.
The space is very cool with lots of lamps and hunting paraphenalia. The ala carte menu is fantastic. The service is friendly but can be a little slow. Well worth a visit.
G. L. P.
High ceilings and wooden floors, a lot of taxidermy, grade 2 listed, old fashioned pub, next to Hampstead Heath. That’s a good start.
The Bull & Last wreaks of the story of what’s made it. On old pub in Highgate was going spare, and Joe, Ollie and Freddie stepped in in early 2009. Joe is an ex-Wolseley manager, Ollie has studied in France and survived working with Richard Corrigan and it’s suspected Freddie is a Laird in Scotland. Evidence comes in the form of the Stag Room upstairs, so named for the beautiful piece of taxidermy above the fireplace, which is Freddie’s Mum’s first kill – a mighty beast that she then had to drag over the hills to get home.
Joe is from a farm in North Yorkshire, and used to host the most rock ‘n’ roll meat stand to be found at farmers’ markets across the north of England (they had a wall of TV screen!) in keeping with their nose to tail offerings, and to keep the chefs up to scratch with butchery skills, Joe’s Dad will often bring one of his finest grain-fed wagyu cattle for the delectation of the customers.
The name The Bull & Last comes from the fact that the pub used to be the most northern pub on the road as you left London, so the coachman would shout ‘The Bull - and last stop.’
The Bull & Last is a hotch potch of talents and interests; a young business full of ideas, looking to be the best in town, they bring an eclectic approach to menu style, décor, service style, and not to mention music choice. A tip: if you’re a table of 8 or above ask for the Stag Room, especially in winter, and come early, you’ll get the table all night. A perfect den for a cosy crew.
Thanks for the tip off: Roasted Sundays Blog, Jaakko Harlas and Sarah Birchall.

The roast is one of the best I’ve had in London! You have to book a while in advance on their website because it’s so popular.
N. W.
Great food! Came for lunch on a Monday and am surprised it wasn’t not busier. This place definitely proves that the English cán cook!
D. H.
Really enjoyed this restaurant down. Went in a Sunday for their take on a traditional Sunday roast. It was excellent, I recommend.
G. S.
Great meal, Great staff, we we had the Cote de Beouff it superb, the wine and dessert was fantastic value, great Saturday night vibrant and enjoyable, our waiter top bloke for a Ginger😀...we were in Kentish Town for daughter going to O2 Forum for concert, booked on spec...we wish we had something like this in our area...
H. H.
Great pub to sit outside of on a sunny day, with fantastic food.
Just watch out for the large portion sizes!
B. M.
Great, cozy pub near Hampstead Heath. Friendly staff, great beer selection and incredible food. Happy days.
C. J. R.
They had a beers call so solid brew and the food was next level. Good pub quiz.
C. L.
Very nice and helpful staff
M. H.
Impeccable service, fantastic Sunday roasts, casual fireside pub atmosphere with an interesting wine menu. Booking essential
L. H.
Nice pub, slightly overpriced, though to be expected with its proximity to the Heath. Good food and choice of drinks.
L. L.
Amazing food. Great service. Compliments to the chef!
A. R.
It's a good sunday roast, but is it worth £21? Over the years, this place has become more of a restaurant than a pub
T. A.
Nice atmosphere, food is good but I might suggest sharing starters if you plan to eat here (they seem to be more interesting and the mains are a bit intense).
K. E.
I love this pub, and the quality beer on tap, and excellent food. A professionally run establishment.
A. F.
Nice but then you look at the prices and think there's better food out there. Slightly uptight service as well, often not that friendly.
K. N.
Great pub with amazing food but not sure why they don't serve food outside
Y. M. L.
Stunning food, v dog friendly and staff are super nice. Book a table in advance as can be busy

Nice place, friendly , good food and great selection of drinks. It has no sports on which is great!
J. H.
Interesting history as a coaching inn, although I felt in its modern guise it had rather lost its sense of pubbyness along the way. You could definitely do worse in the area though.
C. J.
Overall very nice. The food maybe needs to be a bit better for the pretty high prices charged.
U. N.

Food focused, but good if you're eating. Very limited seating if you want a drink inside.

Not as good as usual, roast potatoes were a little hard and the beef was less succulent than otherwise experienced. What a shame!
