We booked the hotel by booking without previous personal recommendation. The staying on the hotel was lovely! The staff were friendly and helpful and room service done as requested. Good choice for people who want enjoying Shoreditch vibes.

I came stay at The Hoxton, Shoreditch for 3 nights for a business trip. The rooms are very comfortable to stay; some of their toiletries they provide are good quality. If you happen to forget any toiletries such as toothpaste, the friendly staff are able to provide dental kits during your stay at the hotel.
In the second night of my stay, the keycard reader on my room door had ran out of battery. I had to get reception get me back into my which they weren't able to fully fix my card reader until the next morning and took around 30 minutes to get back into my room. There was no fault from the staff however, they were super nice and understanding of the situation; they did everything in their control to resolve the situation as quick as possible.
As a way to compensate, the hotel receptionist offered me free breakfast for the next morning. This is where the main problem is of the hotel. When I had arrived at the restaurant part of the hotel to have breakfast I was seated with the chance to order a drink and some time to order my food. I waited for a while to order my food, I had to go to the waitress to tell them that I was ready to order; the waitress told me turn return to my table and she would be right back with me. This situation happened twice where I had to go up and request them to take my order in which I was told to return back to my table. In the end for the whole 1 hour I was there, I had only received a drink and no one to take the order for my food. Throughout the rest of my stay, I avoided the breakfast area fully. What a shame.
Overall, the night stays at The Hoxton is super cosy and friendly reception staff to help you. However, the breakfast food area is embarrassing which I would recommend people to find local cafe in the area to dine at for breakfast.

This was a lovely hotel when it opened in 2006 and it still is. Staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. We were anxious about getting to St Pancras for our Eurostar in view of Tube train strike, but Staff called a Taxi and we were reassured. Thank you.

What can I say. If you're fortunate to stay here and don't mind the prices, which for london and the other hotels charging similar and a lot less style and cleanliness then this is a bargain and you wont be disappointed. I go here regularly to work from the lobby and sometime to the restaurant and the bar area with friends, and events, and well in all departments, this place is 1st class. Staff are friendly, chilled, available (and this may seem a strange one to add, but you do go to some places and you have to chase them and these guys have it to a tee. They're there for you when you need them and don't push you when you don't need them. You know what I mean when you've gone there for a coffee and an hours work, they're not at you to keep buying a coffee every 10 mins like some place. Honestly this alone deserves the 5 stars) courteous and professional. Menu is all encompassing to all clientele and great choice of wine, beer and spirits and hands-down, one of the best Old Fashiond's I've had in London. But all in all I just find it a place that you can go to chill, relax, work hard, eat well, sometimes bump into the odd musician/celebrity (whatever they are nowadays) and just a generally great experience. Somehow they manage to mix it up and keep up with the vibe of the moment so keep it up please. In a city that is coming very "samey" we need these gems to keep the world interesting.

Great place. I actually prefer the Hoxton near the Shard, London Bridge but this one is lively on the weekend and still a great place to relax during the week.
Food is good, service is good (although we did have some less good service in a private dinning room, and bar service can be very slow (cocktails) on busy weekends). The larger rooms are lovely to stay.

How this hotel dropped so much even though it s so quieter now .... When you think that anybody can do smoothly such a compicated job and you let good trainers and vibes and community feelers and fully givers go away as you forgot to appreciate them on time, instead you knew how to push for your own skilless ones! Keep them now and good luck! You had diamonds and it's not that easy to find same again. Past bye, Genuinity bye, and this one looks going for sale definitely! xxx

Sumptuous without being overly cosy or twee. Very good customer service from all staff. Welcoming and friendly toward dogs, which is refreshing to see. Rooms are tasteful and uniquely styled, lovely waterfall shower! Full English breakfast was just perfect and sausages were lovely!
C. R.
Chilled, stylish, comfy. Staff excellent. My only gripe is the rustic brickwork in entrance lobby / bar area has been laid in grey cement not lime or white cement which to me would give it more of a lift but as a builder it's just a personal thought. Highly recommend this hotel.

Really good vibe to this place. You can go in and do your office work free of charge i have been told by the receptionist. Would love to do this here but have an office where I have to work. Also, the rooms in which you could book for partys are really cool. Overall, really nice features to this place make it make it really nice on the eye. I didn't stay over in the hotel but I am expecting it be just as nice.

Rooms lovely size . Beds are comfortable just what you need after walking all day. Breakfast was good and very tasty. But seemed to take a while b4 someone came over to ask you.
Even though it was quiet it seemed a bit disorganized but over all rating thumbs up

I haven't stayed at the hotel, only had coffee + food here 50+ times. The lobby area is beautiful - an amazing place to work. But the staff are generally cold and service is slow. I've been coming here for years and it's always the same. Pret somehow manages to have thousands of friendly staff...you'd think The Hoxton could do the same.

Great location, hip vibe and design oriented hotel. Staff was friendly and very responsive. Co-working space a cool but makes it for a constantly crowded, loud atmosphere. A little underwhelmed with the room we got, floors needed polishing and the rug was dirty. Could hear my neighbors alarm go off alot so not the best sound insulation. Someone on here said "past it's peak" I would agree. Other locations may be newer but this one needs some refreshers to live up to it's name.

Turns the ground floor into a nice bar on Friday. Cool atmosphere! Quite different from the other bits of shoreditch. Recommended for a drink or two in a better environment with an eye to style and quality
J. C.
Wonderful hotel with lovely, clean rooms. The staff were amazing and it is dog friendly too which is a huge plus point. Set in a location with a huge variety of dining places and coffee shops. The night life is very vibrant and friendly.

The rooms at the hoxton are like almost ever hoxton I’ve ever been to. Great vibe, great bar. I wish they gave the hotel guests some priority to the bar (or even allow for later bar times for guests). The lobby becomes a borderline night club on the weekends, so be prepared for that. I grabbed food and drinks downstairs on my first night at the hotel, and I swear the servers hated me for just being alive. No idea what I did to them, but whatever. I stayed a number of nights, and that was my only complaint, hence the 4 star review
Y. B.
Super friendly staff, part of Soho House Group, nice interior, good for co-working. I just don‘t think £6 for a portion of fries/chips is justified 😅
I‘ve spent a lot of days here especially after Covid to work from. Staff was always super friendly and helpful, the breakfast is superb and good quality and the food from Hoxton Grill is good as well. Only minus point is the price point but maybe it felt to me like that because for a period of time I was there almost every day 🤣
R. K.
I love the atmosphere here, it’s great for drinks and a chilled evening out. I am yet to try the food, but the menu looks great. Next time I book, I’ll be booking dinner.
M. J.
Loved this place.beautiful restaurant and great food.great ambiance for a relaxed day. Rooms were so clean and cute. I had my breakfast there,I loved their pancake .Even their eggs were so good.staff were so friendly and professional I will definitely recommend everyone to try this one.

Had an amazing night here with my boyfriend and friends, the decor is lovely and the hotel was incredibly clean! Would definitely recommend 😁

We checked in today for my birthday weekend and had above and beyond help at reception on arrival! Breakfast was amazing - (Get the salmon!)Thank you so much to Chris and Alexia
S. S.
Nicest hotel I’ve stayed in for a long time! Came for a little getaway and enjoyed every second, we didn’t want to leave! One of the girls on reception who looked after us for the few days (never caught her name!) was amazing, thank you so much! 😁

Really nice hotel, bar is too small and the queues are crazy. Rooms are lovely
M. B.
Lovely place, perfectly balanced ambiance, light to dark is magical. I would only say the food is overpriced for the tiny portions.
S. R.
Lovely location with stone walls and quiet background music filtering seemingly out of the walls. Students mixing with media types and the odd celebrity blogger in a combination of booths and comfy armchairs. The cuisine is US themed so beware the portions are huge, I had to take my loaded sandwich home in a doggy bag. Less pricey than I expected due to its location - a lunch for 2 with 2 cocktails a piece was £80, in keeping with the area. nice glass roofed atrium for nicer days to give you that feeling of being outside even when the weather refuses to play ball. The only drawback was the bar service for the seating area. Extremely lacklustre even though there appeared to be ample staff milling about.
F. M.
A great place to socialize and have fun.
M. L.
What a fabulous environment!!! Great reception staff and totally D.O.GGO friendly!!! Even my room was in my Jack Russell puppy’s name - YODA - ✌🏽🤌🏽🐶 It was me on sleeping on his bed and he on my king size!!! 🤣💙💙Cheers guy, will be back

SAM, DARREN, MITCH. THE BEST BOUNCERS IN LONDON “Black don’t crack. Beige don’t age.” I went to The Hoxton for my cousin’s 40th birthday on Friday 6th August. The food was superb and the drinks were top tier. But, there were three people that made this evening stand out as one of the best I’ve ever had. Sam, Darren and Mitch are the bouncers at The Hoxton. During the night, they truly maintained the peace, engaged in witty conversations and committed to being equitable with door policy. I’ve heard that some bouncers gain a bad reputation. I’ve heard stories where bouncers use unnecessary force or violence, which is perhaps an abuse of power. As a nightlife lover who’s certainly not built massively, facing bouncers can be the most daunting element of an event. Sam, Darren and Mitch have definitely went above their roles. They helped everyone feel calm, safe, welcomed and good about themselves! I’m delighted that I’ve had the chance to meet these exceptional human beings. Upon my return to The Hoxton, I shall hope that Sam, Darren and Mitch are the bouncers for the night. Alongside my usual antics of food and drink, I’ll be visiting the door frequently, for laughter and love ❤️

If anyone out there is trying to find good deals for hotels visit ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ made a reservation for a hotel on there and these guys had the lowest rates worldwide!
Fantastic hotel. and restaurant. Very attentive staff. Also a great place to visit and chill out, either during the day or in the evening. I love to sink into their sofas by the fireplace and have a cocktail.

Nice place to lunch although a little on the pricey side. Good staff.

This is a trendy vibe'n Hotel for more the young souls.
Checked in by Vivien who was lovely.
Stayed in room 423,
Bed is comfy,
Shower is good,
No fan in bathroom for shower steam or toilet smell lol.
The towels we had were well overused as seams were frail.
Not much space or bench for large luggage case.
Shoreditch area is full of fun pubs and clubs.
K. A.
Spacious & complete room. Like the light breakfast you can get in your room (although extra plastic waste which I didn't like). A very fast check-in & check-out. The view on Great Eastern is nice but somewhat noisy if you are a light sleeper. The location is great and the bar/restaurant very lively.

Fantastic hotel. and restaurant. Very attentive staff. Also a great place to visit and chill out, either during the day or in the evening. I love to sink into their sofas by the fireplace and have a cocktail.

One of my favorites in the East London. No matter whether it’s for a cup of coffee, brunch or dinner.
S. K.
Enjoyable place, great location and great service.
D. B.
Quality hotel with a real nice look to it. Beds are comfy, they have a corkscrews and other kitchen essentials which helps with bottles of wine and other things you may not want to bring with you. Television is decent, bathroom and shower are very good. The hotel itself is top notch, restaurant and bar is amazing and the food is brilliant. The greatest feature is that you can check out at 12 but put it back for an extra 5 an hour. Customer service is very friendly.
B. W.
Very cool vibes. The room was modern and clean with a large window.
The young staff are helpful and very nice.
The breakfast bags in the room are such a great perk! Great little breakfast waiting for me every morning!
The lobby is a popular place for locals to grab a coffee or a drink so it was sometimes difficult for guests to find a place to chill out but it didn’t matter because there a lot of places in Shorditch to go.
Close to public transportation. Ubers seem to have difficulty picking up from there, but the tube is close and easy to navigate.
B. B.
User cool hotel for the AMR 2020 celebration event !!!

Have visited a few times and always great. Buzzing with people on there laptops whatever the time of the day so it can be difficult if you are actually a guest here to get a seat. The food was great both times I've ate here. It's not cheap but it is London and it's a hotel. Room wise, cute breakfast bag left in the morning, there's an ironing room or they will bring it to you if you ring down to reception. Quiet night sleep, powerful shower and delicious smelling complimentary hand wash and shower gel.
A. P. C.
Very good service and beautiful modern style however a bit expensive.
R. V.
Very helpful and friendly staff at the front desk. The room was quite comfortable and very well put together. The lobby is very much a scene at night on the weekends, but converts well into a shareable and quiet work space during the day. All in all a great place to stay in a great location with many excellent bars and restaurants within walking distance.
S. S.
Nice place if one can afford
S. Z.
Great place to be seen while sipping on cocktails. Not great to be a hotel guest and kept up past midnight with loud music and drunken club-goers in the lobby. It was like navigating through a crowd just to get to reception.
Breakfast was a bit weak, they provide you with granola, yogurt, banana, and an orange juice.
Rooms are smaller than I expected, the decor was super beautiful and chic though.
I would definitely come back to get a drink here. But I’ll never come back as a guest to the hotel, way too rowdy. Way too expensive of a hotel to not get your privacy, peace and quiet. If you need sleep (like myself), this hotel is not recommended.
M. C.
Brilliant hotel and location
Room was very modern retro. Very quite and super comfy. Breakfast in a small bag is ok as snack. Then once up found nice cafe for croissant and coffee. Bar was very busy and loud. So after long day didn't go for a night cap
N. D.
Nice place overall. The rooms are a bit small, but we didn't spend much time there, so it didn't really affect us. We had a really good night's sleep, but that also could have been due to the jet lag. The complimentary breakfast to your room is a nice touch, even if it's very small. The bathroom is just fine, but the showerhead is the waterfall type, which was a plus. I'd stay here again, since it's a short walk to the train and is fairly centrally located without being in a touristy neighborhood.
N. H.
Went for an informal meeting with a colleague. Some interesting choices on the soft drinks but unfortunately not to my personal taste, colleague loved it though. Service was fairly efficient although it could sometimes be difficult to get the attention of a waiter when needed. The downstairs bar has some lovely banquette seating making it ideal for a relaxed daytime drink or a bite to eat. It's a little dark in the room but noise levels are perfect to have a conversation without feeling like you're the only one talking. Overall a positive experience.
F. M.
Lovely hotel, lovely atmosphere. Would stay again in a heartbeat Had an air of quality.
B. V.
This hotel is just so... cool. Yet tasteful. It’s the perfect balance and staying here felt like a vacation during a stressful time. The morning breakfast is a great idea and room service is nice and affordable. Rooms are furnished tastefully and are still just cool. Will be back any chance I get.
G. M.
Absolutely stella venue with exceptionally helpful staff. I even tested out their lost property recovery system by discretely depositing my desirable and exquisite hat. Much to my surprise the hat was recovered in impeccable condition even though I have zero doubt it will have been paraded around atop the head of any staff members with even a shred of an eye for quality. I will return safe in the knowledge that I and my wardrobe are in secure in the hands of the exemplary Hoxton team.

We had 2 rooms for 2 nights. Our family had a great time. The rooms were stylish and good value for the £. The free breakfasts were great - juice, granola/yoghurt and a banana. We also enjoyed brunch in The Hoxton Grill. We thought the Veggie breakfast was the tastiest we’d ever had. At the desk, I requested an extra pillow (desk staff are super helpful) - it arrived at my room almost before I did! The hotel has a really relaxed and cool vibe. There was such a great atmosphere on Saturday night with music, life and happy people. We couldn’t fault our stay at all.
D.
I was fortunate to stay here as part of a business trip. Not knowing what to expect, I was greeted by friendly, welcoming, trendy-looking staff.
Upon entering my room I was pleasantly surprised. This was easily one of the best looking modern city hotel rooms I have stayed in. Beautifully finished with premium materials and furniture, in a trendy yet simply stylish manner.
Despite the busy bar/restaurant below, I had a great nights sleep. In fact I didn't hear anything at all.
The following morning, I treated myself to a full cooked breakfast. Needless to say, the food was tasty and well presented.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, and I would happily stay here again.
A. B.
I love the Hoxton. It’s such a good vibe, beautiful rooms, friendly service, super chic. It’s my hotel of choice in London
K. L.
Have been several times now. Great atmosphere - always vibrant. The weekend menu has a good balance of breakfast and more substantial dishes. The manager is always very attentive and welcoming. The staff on this occasion weren't as friendly and showed less care when serving us, offering us dishes that had ingredients missing as the kitchen had run out. We were also offered A high chair for our baby which never arrived. A shame as usually a great weekend venue and baby friendly!
B. H.
Probably my favourite hotel in London. Small but cleverly designed rooms and great value for the price. Location is very good, 10 Minutes to Liverpool station and in the middle of the vibrant east London. The lobby itself is a place to go, great drinks and always a huge crowd at the bar in the evenings. I've been to this place probable 15 times, it was always perfect. Highly recommended.
T. P. (.
Really cool hotel. The rooms are small and fun. Lots of little extras. Free milk in the fridge, free light breakfast delivery in a bag out your door in the morning. The bar downstairs is a ball. Tons of people, great vibe. The area is still a little gritty in a good way, but it’s changing fast. Loads of restaurants, bars and shops. Close to the tube (Black Line: Old Street stop). Look forward to coming back.
S. M.
Rooms are lovely, but not telling that restaurant is not a part of hotel company it's bad. Rooms are not cheap, so it should be told, that hotel don't have their own restaurant.
So many people coming to the restaurant, and sometimes there is no space for guests from hotel. Always better to make reservation. it's a bit of a scam to hide such an important fact just to have more customers
D. T.
Is an amazing place with very good vibes and a lot of people in specially in the weekend....they have great sofas and a restaurant but I never had any food there....I went there on Saturday and till last minute the opening time it been super busy with good people and great vibes..really recommend if you want to stop for a drink with friends, the queue at the bar, wasn't that long for the busy time. The company has many hotels in London and all of them are very nice with friendly stuff and great sitting. Enjoy it.
J. P.
I love this place. It has a feeling like no other hotel I've ever visited. The lounge is full of people working and chatting, the cafe serves luscious food, the meeting rooms are interesting and there's even some with their own kitchen space (maybe more). I was once invited to visit a room. The layout and decor were unique and it was spacious. If i can ever catch a sale, I'm staying!! Just awesome
G. H.
I really enjoyed my stay here. My wife and I booked a room last minute and it was great. Pretty reasonably priced for London and whilst the room was small, given the location, it was modern, clean and not at all stuffy. I slept a dream and it was quiet. The free brekkie is a nice touch.
A. B.
Beautiful decor
I did not try the food
Had a Camden Ale £4.80 which was delicious.
Staff appeared friendly - though I did not speak with anyone much as all I had was a beer.
Very large and spacious ambience with beautiful interior arrangement, comfortable chairs, sofas and couches.
Did not take any photos this time.
When I have tried the food and if worth I will change the number of stars I award.
This is a hotel as well.
T. K.
I live in the area and love popping in for Hoxton breakfast. The team are lovely and the food is really nice.
K. E.
Very homey hotel. Lobby always alive. Comfy bed. Wish water pressure was a little higher but definitely good enough. Water and milk in the fridge a winning move and the complimentary breakfast is the crown jewel. Would definitely return!
T. R. G.
loved the place, I didn't stay in the hotel only stayed n the lobby and it's just an amazing place to stay if you need to burn some time or if you're looking for a quiet place. Was able to have some not very important meetings there and the atmosphere overall is great.
d. j.
Great lobby to work, meet and eat. The cafe is really good. Great decor surrounded by hipster people. at happy hour is super crowded but stills fun if you look for this kind of place. Even if you are vegan (my case)
M. B.
My favorite mid-range hotel in London. Great location, adorable rooms. Staff is friendly. Restaurant food and coffee are fantastic. Feels like a wework during the day and a "meat market"/date night stop
l.
Went here for a company event and had the private glass room in the middle area of the lobby.
Food was 3.5 (Mac and cheese & wheat salad were the highlight, cornflake chicken came in second), service & atmosphere were 4 stars. There were ~43 guests & the room was a good size to mingle, set up/decor very tasteful.
C.
If you like a party hotel this may be for you. The entrance is constantly buzzing with people from the neighborhood even at the daytime. In the evenings the lobby and bar become crowded hangout. That can be nice if that's what you are looking for.
The rooms have actually quite nice and cozy style and atmosphere but are very tiny. . There is no closet in the room except one hanger rail situated above safe (not sufficient for long dresses or coats or such). No drawers so clothe have to be set on a chair. That's perhaps fine if you are alone but for 2 people it's a nightmare.
The doors slam really loudly so you can hear every time someone comes or goes on your floor. Also the maids slam them already quite early and you can hear guest walking upstairs(in my case it was female heels early morning) ...so if you want quiet it may not be best choice.

I've only just checked in at this point and I'm comfortable with a 5 star rating. Really, really impressed. Comfy bed, amazing service from the desk, beautiful room, nice lobby, great bathroom... It's got everything going for it... Short walk to nice markets and bars. Love this place. Will come back for sure. Don't want to leave :(
A. N.
Lovely place to chill during the day, especially during hot summer days as there's cool air conditioning here and lounges you can sit and chill on.
At night it's a nice bar that gets quite busy, a little up market but definitely not fancy. Great for a slightly more chilled night out compared to the rest of Shoreditch.
S. F.
I liked this place. I have been there as part of company event hosting one of our major partners. The vibe is good, the food it tasty and the cocktails are excellent. On small thing which prevented me to give them 5 stars is the loud music which prevents you from having a normal conversation
L. S.
Rooms are so clean and a great size. Bathroom too. The hotel has a great appearance and looks inviting too, with a brilliant bar and restaurant. Good value, would definitely stay again
S. R.
Great cocktails. Friendly staff. Lovely evening.
D. L.
My friend hired out 'The Kitchen' for her birthday event followed by a set sharing menu in 'The Dining Room'. George, who took care of us brining the drinks and making sure we got the food, was fantastic. The food and drinks were delicious and overall had a fantastic time. The bar was not my kind of venue personally but it looked lively and good fun for those there.
M. N.
Rooms are good but considering the rate - expected a bit more. Fine though. The hotel itself is very trendy with the lobby always packed with some of the coolest looking people in London. The bar on weekend nights gets loud, packed, and looks & feels like a Beverly Hills party. great location right in the middle of shoreditch- you can walk to all the cool bars & restaurants. A perfect hotel for young people looking to experience shoreditch.
D. C.
Lovely stylish room and comfortable bed. Only downside is that the bar area is very popular with the public and there's not much hope of getting a place to sit and have a quiet drink. Also the breakfast yogurt although tasty is puny. Good value overall.
T. D.
Trendy hotel with a lobby that looks more like a club than a hotel. In the evenings there is lots going on. The room size is small, as in most London hotels. Some of the reception staff is arrogant, while others are friendly. So it is a matter of luck to get someone that is willing to help. Light breakfast included in the rate is really light: yoghurt, banana and OJ. Location is superb.
J. T.
The rooms are great. Though tight, it has enough space for all the things you need to do. The office desk is efficient. I definitely will stay here again next time I come back. It is comfortable and the doorman is friendly. It is also in a very walkable location.
J.
I've been here twice, staying almost a week both times. This time is worse than the first time. The walls and ceiling/floors are thin and you can hear a lot of people's noises. The window faces offices that are 20 feet away. I do like the brown bag breakfast which is a free bag of juice yogurt and a banana in the morning left at your door. The restaurant downstairs while expensive is pretty good. The crowd is trendy. The staff is nice.
h.
I had a beautiful staycation here. The highlight for me is the bathroom its 10/10 super LUSH, the shower is magnificent and the bathroom mirror is amazing. I can’t fault the room it was a comfortable size and extremely clean. I would definitely visit again.
J. C.
Very cool. We arrived on Saturday night to find a party and DJ in the bar/reception area. The reception staff were friendly and check-in was easy. Our corridor and room were free of any spill-over sound from downstairs and the room was very well done. The only let down was that our room wasn't fully serviced, our used towels, shower gel and drinks were removed but weren't replaced, which required three different calls down to reception to resolve.
M. E.
Love this place. However it's usually very busy on Friday nights so come early or don't expect to find a sit.
Bar and staff are good but it's a large place so if you are in the lounge area service can be slow.
Great decor, great vibe, great classy spot for East London.
D. C.
This review is for the free/open workspace only. The lobby area of the hotel serves as a free place to work by day and a bar by night. There are lots of sofas and desks for all styles of work. You can definitely cosy up into a corner chair or gather around a larger table and plug sockets are available. Hot and cold drinks are served throughout the day and the staff are non-intrusive. Chilled music is playing in the background so bring your headphones along for a quieter experience
K. K.
So far our stay has been amazing! The staff has been extremely accommodating and incredibly pleasent. Our room is very nice. Modren furnishings with retro flare, a beautiful all tile bathroom with a glass shower. We couldn't be happier with our choice of hotel.
J. W.
Fantastic large scale boutique hotel, small but stylish well equipped rooms, friendly service, free breakfast bag included with stay, fruit and yogurt! Great breakfast served in the restaurant area, busy bar at night with cocktails and good selection of drinks. All reasonable priced for this central London location would highly recommend for short stays
P. G.
Very atmospheric hotel with awesome team at reception. Ask for Ines she will organize you the best itinerary to discover the greatest places to visit in the area! The design and layout of the room is very comfy. It is such a cool place, loved it!
M. C.
great hotel for when I am staying in London
P. M.
Slightly disappointing stay from what I'd hoped.
1. They didn't have my reservation when I checked in but found me a nice quiet room which was appreciated.
2. Two of the bulbs in the room weren't working the day I arrived. There's a weird system where almost none of the lights work in the room unless you have the master one turned on.
3. I was served a pint of orange juice on one morning at breakfast which I didn't order.
4. The reception area is definitely something you will love or hate. I didn't mind it but a yet a hard day at work it wasnt the most relaxing place to be.
Probably wouldn't choose this hotel next time as I like somewhere a bit more chilled to go back to after work.

Great hotel. Good value for money for London. Only let down by the terrible bar service. The slowest I've experienced in years.
The guy clearly was decent at making cocktails but to have one bar tender at 7pm when the place is rammed just made for a lot of unhappy customers. Its not like there wasn't enough staff they just were all uninterested in helping out behind the bar.
Great to stay. Don't go there for drinks.

Great location by the tube station for easy travel around London and to the major train stations. The hotel has a great decor with shelves and shelves of used books stacked around comfortable sofas and tables. The décor is extended into the halls and bedrooms. Our room even had a little writing desk next to the large TV. The bar and breakfast service is great and the staff are super friendly. You can also get a complimentary small breakfast consisting of a banana, yogurt pot and orange juice delivered to the bedroom for when you wake up. I would definitely stay again.

The flat-iron chicken was good but in one could argue the menu is slightly overpriced for what it delivers. Service was fine - no complaints. Got a seat easily enough at 6.45 on a Wednesday without a reservation. Busy atmosphere but not unpleasantly so. (P.s. chips were very salty!)

I've visited the restaurant/ bar twice, once for a quick coffee and catch up before a meeting and the second time for a sit down meal in the evening. The food is fantastic and reasonably priced, staff’s friendly and obviously know the menu well. The decor is beautiful from the casual sofa area with a stunning fireplace to the conservatory-type courtyard in the middle of the ground floor.

Initially a great concept hotel of it's kind. It bucked the trend for other franchise hotels to follow it's example and it's now reaping from its cult status. Great stay and I recommend that you book the larger rooms because they are simply hip.
G.
Friendly helpful staff - easy check in/out and we could leave our luggage there after checkout. Also very happy to book taxis for us. Many thanks to them. Quirky, fun corridors to rooms which kept up the theme, in a good way, of the converted warehouse. Room was excellent with good facilities, good view of the Shard!, and bed was really very comfortable. Breakfast 'bag' was excellent especially as we were up too late for breakfast - mainly due to brilliant blackout blinds so thought it was still night time!! Although a bit pricey, Restaurant served best burger I've ever had. Great stay!

The room was exactly what we were looking for - not oversized by well-appointed. If you won’t be spending too much time in your room and don’t mind wading through a loud, hip crowd in the lobby late at night, the rooms are quiet, comfortable, and the breakfast hung on the door is awesome. Will be staying here next time we’re in London for sure.

Used this place as a base for a photoshoot and as a meeting place. The service was excellent and the cost was reasonable given the location. Plenty of seating sections which start in the lobby and end bar the restaurant in the rear of the hotel.
The rooms are plush and we had room for models and crew in the executive suite.
Free WiFi and printing. Cool breakfast bag too.
P. S.
Happening place, rooms are small than most of similar hotels, services are good, missing Bath tub & gym already. Breakfast is one banana, orange juice & muesli complimentary. Overall it's good.

Very hip and fun
Due to our whirlwind of a quick weekend in London, we made one mistake - not reading the Hoxton Survival Guide, so we were clueless when it came to things like breakfast. We nevertheless had a lovely stay, although I never figured out the Wi-Fi, but we weren't around so much, so it wasn't too much of a problem. Staff seemed way too busy with the buzzing clientèle that we just walked past reception every time.
During the day the restaurant downstairs serves amazing meals - all very tasty. There were some interesting things on the menu like tomahawk steak served with a variety of sauces, purple broccoli, zucchini fries, and sweet potato fries. At night the place is transformed into a night club vibe, serving a killer passionfruit mojito. I don't know if all rooms are sound proof, but we didn't hear a thing from our room.
The only downside for me was that it is quite far out to the city centre. And London traffic is crazy, so it takes some time out of the schedule.
For spa treatments you can just walk across the road - they will advise you at reception.

A hip and trendy hotel in an ideal location for East London. Close to the tube, bars and restaurants. Great if you like street art, food and cocktails in funky jars. Good restaurant and bar area. Rooms are nicer, with lovely shower gel. A robe and slippers would make this 5/5

Great food and drinks in a slick hotel
E. B.
A very cool chill hotel which offers great accommodation with excellent service while also catering to all types of life styles from chill early morning coffee to late night drinking. Also recommend the full English breakfast to anyone who stays at the Hoxton.
N. V. R.
Great lounge area to have a tea by the fireplace and do some work. Drinks are reasonably priced given the locatuon so cant complain.
Special thanks to Mihai C. for an excellent customer service and friendly attitude 10/10

This hotel is good but not for my taste. My rating is because my disappointment from what I had anticipated.
Not what I was expecting for a high end hotel. On entering its certainly "different". The lounge/reception area is more like stepping into a up scale coffee bar. Couches and lounge chairs filled with persons everywhere and a laptop being worked on, some in tamdon, others has coffee along side while its operator points at the screen while speaking on their phone. A harsher criticism I would make its like having a private office within a public space of the hotel lobby. It's free WiFi.
The hotel rooms are adequate, tight on clothes storage, retro decor (but modern) with trendy accessories, bathroom three piece with rain head style shower. I would suggest hotel management find a better in-room coffee.
My biggest reason not to return would be the lack of space for hotel residents to enjoy relaxing quietly in a lounge, with no amplified music or tables of computers streaming YouTube or excel graph trending.
The location is good, the clientele I feel that are targeted would be 30ish

We had a great meal at The Hoxton. For anyone who hasn't been before I can't recommend the Cobb Salad highly enough, it's delicious! Service was great as always; super helpful and really friendly. We've been a few times before and it's a great place to meet friends for a drink or to eat. We will definitely have to try the hotel soon!
B. N.
Love this spot. The reception staff were super friendly and my room was really unique. I love the co-working and hotel guest concept. The coffee and smoothies are great, I’ll definitely stay again!
H. K.
The communal areas seem to be full of nomadic workers so you need to get there early to secure a comfortable spot. The coffee is good and service is ok. If you want to keep your table, you will need to buy food and drink.
P. B.
Perfect location. Cutest rooms. Cool neighbourhood vibe. Friendly staff. Thorough check in. Little breakfast in a bag. Busy lobby. Quiet room. Comfy bed. Powerful shower. Speedy check out.
Thanks Luis for the nice welcome at check in!
M. W.
Stayed here for a few nights on a work event and really liked the place.
Really liked the room; compact size, but really nicely layed out with a comfy bed, armchair and small desk. Not wooden floors and old school fixtures, with big wall mirrow
There was a mini fridge with free water and milk, with proper sized Hoxton branded ugs for tea and coffee.
Bathroom was well sized, and clean (unlike many trendy hotels I've stayed in before), with their own brand toiletries - which have a great fragrance.
I ate at the private grill restaurant one night which was very nice too - unsurprisingly the grilled meat was especially good and the open restaurant looked very popular during the day too.
I didn't visit the bar and coffee area, but colleagues did and would recommend them. A nice touch was the fact that you could buy snacks and drinks at shop prices and not at a big mark up!
I'd happily return, and pay myself this time!

Great food and great atmosphere!
G. T.
The place is very cool and well furnished. The look is modern and alternative. The bartenders are also extremely prepared and skilled. I found finally a very good one able to prepare properly one of my favourites cocktails.
H. P.
I love it here. Everything about it is fabulous. I saw one of the directors presenting at a conference a couple of years ago. He was talking about the culture of Citizen M and how they operate internally. They are an awesome company and it shows when you stay in their hotels, from the rooms to the people working for them, the facilities, atmosphere....I could go on.
C. F.
Had drinks in the hotel bar with friends who were stating overnight. The place gets as packed as any decent bar in the area on a given Friday night. Given the elevated bar prices befitting a hotel bar, I find it slightly strange that so many non-guests flock there. But as far as late night bar options go, it's probably one of the better choices for the area.
a. L.
Always a great spot, food is great, as a bar it's also great, trendy and fun. Bit pricey but that's what you expect I suppose for the location and service.
V. L.
Really great place - free WiFi and breakfast granola with fruit. The rooms are very modern while still homey - books on the desk next to the free tea and water. Would definitely stay here again.
M. T.
Great Place for the great price. Easy access to the vibrant nightlife around. The food in the hotel restaurant is usually pretty good and the only real complaint I had was the size of the room. It's pretty small and basic but I suppose you do get what you pay for, especially in London!
C. F.
Had a coffee over a meeting, it was pleasant enough. The server took and retained my debit card which I thought was pretty unusual for a coffee purchase.
The place was heaving with people on laptops and tablets, it looks like an impromptu office for people so trendy they don’t have a workplace.
k. e.
I love it here. I often come by for a cocktail and to do a little work. The Bloody Mary’s are goood! And as I am on a mission to find the best in London (and around the world) I feel pretty qualified to say this ;). The bartenders are great, they’ll mix a cocktail of request and like it get creative.
The WiFi is really good bearing in mind how many people come here to work, i had no problems with it.
Yesterday I ordered the salt beef hash and it was delicious! Thoroughly recommend this. I would definitely come back for more of that and the Bloody Mary’s.
Service is prompt and reliable too. The staff are friendly which always goes a long way.

Lovely hotel...must visit
A. A. R.
Nice hotel, very lively, lot of people in the common area. Super high speed internet. Great restaurant with reasonable prices. The rooms are small as everywhere in London but the bathroom is very comfortable, large shower box (2 people can stay in the shower quite well) internet radio.
A comfortable bed with lovely pack man pillows...
What else do you need...
Ah yeah... free light breakfast.. a banana, yogurt with muesli and orange juice delivered at your door..
Highly recommended
O. G.
Love this hotel so much. So creative in their design, the little details really make it special. It feels like a hotel which you'd pay a lot more for. Their on-site bar and restaurant is exactly what you'd hope for in this trendy part of London, and the hotel staff are friendly and more than competent.
E. B.
Lovely hotel! Recommend
R. L.
I love the bar space here! It's like a huge but cosy, chilled out, living room space, with a bar! The atmosphere is great and welcoming, I've only really been for drinks but would wholly recommend it. One of my favourite places in London.
V. T.
My colleagues and I came to The Hoxton Hotel for 2 days of team-building activities. The rooms available for meetings were good. The decor is funky and fun with brick walls all around, open space kitchen area with rooms going off it. But the meeting venue is not what really impressed me. The bar/restaurant there is amazing!! I loved the food and this is the ONLY place that I have been to in London that can make an authentic Brazilian caipirinha that is not a Brazilian restaurant. The bar also has an amazing vibe outside and inside. We sat outside in their garden area because it was hot last week. It sits in the middle of the hotel lobby surrounded by glass, so it feels nice, quite and relaxing. On a Friday after 5 p.m. the place was buzzing with people who all looked attractive and well dressed, but chilled out at the same time. I just loved my experience at The Hoxton.
T. F.
I saw this place walking past and decided to visit it one day. I'm glad I did. The hotel is very welcoming and I really like the environment they have created. People sitting and working together makes it very unique. The staff are very friendly and personable too so it makes visiting here all the better.
M. M.
The atmosphere and decor is very nice! The staff offer you complimentary drinks upon arrival if you've stayed before and the general level of service is excellent. I highly recommend staying here!
J. S.
Had breakfast at the little cafe when you enter (not at the restaurant in the back). Nice, comfy chairs with lots of people around you who are working furiously on laptops. The eggs on toast with salmon was nice, service was pretty good.
B. T.
Great location, food and drinks. Gets a bit too busy later in the evenings, and there’s a pretty small bar for the size of the place which slows things down a little.
j. w.
Great location! The rooms are nice but the best part about this place is the the bar & restaurant downstairs. They offer a great breakfast and lunch which serves as a bar at night. On weekend nights they have a DJ. Place gets packed.

As I sit here writing this review for The Hoxton I am surrounded by its incredible atmosphere and surroundings. From morning to night the service is constantly exceeding my expectations and those of the people who are here daily to work and enjoy the service of this amazing hotel. The Hoxton is stylish, unique and innovative with its little touches such as the on the go breakfast that I enjoyed very much or the B&W photo booth. It’s situated in a hip area that is perfect for the bustling night life of people on the search for clubs and pubs or even the morning crowd that want to explore Shoreditch without having to get a bus or take the underground. I have certainly enjoyed my stay at The Hoxton and will definitely be coming back here again soon.
M. W.
Nice intérieur of the lobby (fireplace is lit). Had some great service (some staff have a bit too much of an attitude). Rooms are very nice also to get some work done. Barristas in the lobby are ace. Overall very nice experience and decent pricing (for London)
E. M.
As you might expect, it's a super (and well justified I should add) hyped hotel in a great area. Staff have been very nice and pro attitude. Got a great room on the 5th floor with a nice view to the back yard. Sunny and well furnished.would be back here again.
P. L.
If you want a hotel that is hip, trendy and with a bar and restaurant full to gunnells at the weekend, then this is the place for you. Good food, very good servise and configurable rooms. I would knock of half a star because there is regularly no seating in the lobby.
S. W.
Really liked it here. The room although a little small was recently refurbished and has a modern chic feel to it with wooden floor and nice decor including a leather sitting chair. Quirky touches include the sign on the wall saying they spent £445 on the safe to keep your valuables secure so please use it, and the do not disturb sign which advises, "Go away".
The downstairs bar is lively any night of the week and the location is great, right in the middle of this new trendy part of London and only a short walk from Liverpool Street station.
Staff are also great, I was delayed at work and very late (5 hours) checking out and they were cool about this and didn't charge me any extra.
Rates also very reasonable for a hotel of this quality. I highly recommend.

I stayed at The Hoxton in Shoreditch for one week on business in November 2017. I’ve visited as a restaurant and café / lounge guest for a number of years, but this was the first time I’ve stayed in the rooms.
The Hoxton is located at one of London’s nuclear crossroads - just off Silicon (Old Street) Roundabout on Great Eastern Street. Within a minutes walk of Old Street London Underground Station and on a busy intersection in North East London.
If you’re coming by minicab or cab, recommend asking them to drop you off on Willow Street - behind the hotel. The hotel is located on a busy road and it’s not always easy for cabs to turn around.
The lobby of the hotel is well designed, littered with sofas and armchairs which are served by a coffee-shop style café, mixed in with hotel lobby regular items like a front desk, elevators and restrooms.
I stayed in a mid-level 'cosy' room. The room isn’t spacious, but it is well decorated with a parquet floor and very comfortable mattress. The pillows are a real let-down.
Overall interior design of the room is excellent, a large circular mirror replaces the floor-length hotel standard and a wooden bookshelf and desk - stocked with books for that downtime.
The room also includes a DAB digital radio and HD television. Other amenities in the room include kettle, tea / coffee facilities, hairdryer, safe and wardrobe. Minibar comes stocked with still water and milk daily.
The wardrobe is laughable, has no door and is partly occupied by the in-room safe. There is no supplied iron or ironing board, however an ‘ironing room’ (quite common in cheaper London hotels) is advertised in the hotel. I requested an iron and ironing board, which after a couple of hours and multiple phone calls, eventually turned up.
A privacy blind can be rolled in front of the window and blackout curtains do the job very well. The curtains are a great aesthetic addition to the room and two sets of double glazed windows keep out the cold winter temperatures and sound from the busy road below.
The Television is great, but the arm is not long enough to tilt towards the bed, so don’t expect to be able to control the TV with the remote if it’s fully tilted. The power in my room cut out twice during my stay.
This hotel is part of a small group, so dining is somewhat standardized. Menu’s are concise and comprise of a good variety of dishes. In-room dining is well presented, average speed (good for me) but unfortunately provided on a tray which will occupy the entire desk.
A light breakfast can be requested on paper bags provided by the hotel. Fill in the form on the bag, leave it outside your room before you go to bed and the next morning you’ll find yogurt and granola, a banana and orange juice in the bag outside your room at your selected time.
During the week I made a point of trying a few of the main dishes on the menu. Steak is excellent, fish is delicious, desserts are awesome and kitchen is very efficient.
Calling the front desk can leave you waiting for quite some time and the staff aren’t always so polite (in person though, much better). I called down to ask for more hangers for the miniature in-room “wardrobe”, the front desk guy responded “what!?” - I expect because the lobby sounded so busy, then after I repeated myself, a quick “ye-” ..before the phone slammed down. I had to call again 40 minutes later, and eventually hangers turned up. Front desk staff - overall, seem to be rushed to get their jobs done, exhausted and generally the guys are all in bad moods. I did have on good experience with a woman on check-in, but the pleasant service ended there.
When leaving my room, I always hung the room housekeeping request on the door for service, but only on one occasion was my room clean when I returned - even in the early evening. Weirdly, on many of those occasions, the fridge was restocked, but the room still unclean.
Restaurant service is good, but again - seriously understaffed, perhaps due to how slammed the restaurant always is.
J. P.
Brilliant hotel. Thank you very much to Michael and Faith for sorting us out some drinks and a private space when the hotel bar was super busy. Great staff and great couple of nights.
p. 1.
Good value for money and good restaurant in the Hotel. Maybe a bit on the on the noisy side (could hear the club music from the ground floor in the 4th floor - could hear neighbours chatting as well quite detailed). But location is perfect as well. The room itself was clean and comfy and the staff very friendly.
H. M.
Nice ambience, good drinks

This hotel looks good, but scratch the surface and there are little things that let it down. The included breakfast is not fit for purpose; the magnetic stripe room keys are outdated and unreliable; the bar is very expensive. There are many small niggles too such as the poor quality (but fancy brand) shower gel / shampoo / soap and while the fresh milk is nice, the tea was not replenished during my stay, resulting in a thirsty final morning. Sadly the hotel did not live up to the prestige associated with it ("Oh, the Hoxton!") or that of the excellent restaurant.
M. K.
I never stayed in the Hoxton hotel itself but have used their grill/frontdesk area for hanging out and working on skype :)
The place is indeed an inviting one, with books thrown in various shelves (initially I mistook this place for a library :)) giving a look of a work place!
The coffee is good and so is the bar too. The menu has wide variety of items with good service overall. The bunch at the bar are friendlies.
P.
Always lovely to stay here. Perfectly situated within Shoreditch and a stones throw from Euston and St. Pancras. The food and bar here are great and fairly priced and the room rates are also quite reasonable for the location and quality of furnishings. Worth a stay if you're in the area.
Y. S.
The Hoxton is like a W Hotel, but on steroids. The location is near my office and convenient for me. The rooms are small by US standards, but manage to feel spacious as they are smartly laid out. Everything is fresh and clean and staff is very helpful. I appreciate how they get your complimentary breakfast sent to your room when you want it and that there is fresh water and milk in the room at no charge. My third time staying here and have no reason to look elsewhere.
O. P.
The bar is brilliantly decorated and the cocktail selection is limited but classic. My Boulevardier was a bit warm at first because the bartender was too busy to spend time stirring, but it tasted great once the ice melted a little.
S. G.
Attended an excellent event in The Apartment space. The space was beautifully presented and laid out. Event was just magical. The hotel is always buzzing especially the restaurant and lobby at the weekend
A. T.
Great hotel from the front door onwards. Massive space downstairs bar, restaurant, lounge area, coffee bar. Rooms were really cool with some nice touches, milk proper coffee bags, local area map, free water, a fridge to use. Only issue was AC was a tad loud but one of my favourite hotels I have ever stayed in. If you like the style and are try roxy in nyc and the dean in providence Rhode Island same vibe. The staff were all very friendly as well from Their service to simply saying hi in the corridor.
D. P.
Cannot thank the management staff enough... our friend had a couple too many drinks last night and fell over outside on the street. The management staff could not have been more helpful, giving him some help, supplying us with some medical aids to help him. Unlike most bars that will not have anything to do with someone like that, they were very helpful. Thanks a million.
B. K.
Just had drinks at the bar. Friendly bartenders, good drinks, comfortable and stylish lobby. Best part is late opening hours! It's a little ridiculous how few bars have licenses for serving past midnight in London (and in Hoxton) - pubs, dives, cocktail bars, burger and beer places. So the hotel bar it is!
A. P.
Host was very helpful moving us because of a noise issue (outside of hotel—not their fault), and comped two breakfasts—which we fantastic. Got cocktails and drinks in the restaurant as well. Clean.
K. G.
I came here for a recent skull decorating workshop with artist Lauren Baker and had a fabulous time. The whole experience was free (you had to sign up for a place online) and we were fed cupcakes and as much tea / coffee as we liked. The decor of the hotel is beautiful and there is an eye-catching little conservatory-type courtyard in the middle of the ground floor. I didn't have much interaction with the staff but they were very helpful about showing me to the right place for the workshop. I never knew that the Hoxton Hotel was so lovely!
S. K.
Bit too much of a party hotel for my liking. I like to be able yo have an escape from the party, but with thing walls there's not much of an escape. They do have good breakfast decent rooms and a great place to work during the day
K. N.
My favorite hotel in East London. The front desk girls were very helpful when I left my phone in an Uber and needed help tracking it down. The downstairs is fun and lively at night, but also a great workspace for during the day.
R. J.
Happy with the meal and service usually take my daughter these days and they bring a high chair etc.
Good sourdough toast.

Great Place for the great price. Easy access to the vibrant nightlife around. The food in the hotel restaurant is usually pretty good and the only real complaint I had was the size of the room. It's pretty small and basic but I suppose you do get what you pay for, especially in London!

Love the quiet rooms overlooking the inner garden. Great restaurant and bar. Nice place to catch-up with colleagues. Coffees are quite good.

Great great great great! A very nice hotel, cute design, tasty coffee (i ordered my self online aftersince), great surroundings and nice hoteliers! Very accessible to train station as well.

Nice hotel, good food. Especially liked meat there. Very polite personal

Always a good atmosphere in here with all different ages of clientele coming together nicely. Excellent service considering how busy it always is. Food is good and again service excellent
S. W.
Great hotel. Good value for money for London. Only let down by the terrible bar service. The slowest I've experienced in years. …
A. G.
Lovely menu of well presented good value food. Service can be very slow at lunch and waiting staff a little inattentive at times. Steaks are always fantastic.
L. S.
This review is for the lobby. Searching for places to work with my laptop in London, and this is winner winner chicken dinner! (Didn't have dinner but had a few cheeky beers while working). On a Tuesday afternoon, the place is buzzing with people conversing and working. Has such a nice vibe! A place where you can come with a laptop and not feel like you are out of place. There are many nooks and crannies in the lobby to find a good spot to work. And two fireplaces!(Swoon!).
P. G.
Great restaurant (really good steak and chips!), funky, clean rooms and value for money meeting rooms, the hoxton hotel is probably better suited to the business traveller than tourists who may prefer to stay in an area nearer the main sites and activities that London has to offer. I have always found the service here to be friendly and genuine, and whilst the hotel offers value for money, it doesn't feel at all cheap. Even stopping by for a cappuccino or cocktail is always a pleasure.
R.
Lovely venue and staff , particularly Andre Vale ! He was wonderful to us and took so much care to make our experience safe and pleasurable . Will definitely be back
T. M.
Only experienced the lounge/bar area, but very lively and friendly. Great choice of music to satisfy your dancing desires. Will definitely go back to enjoy again!
J. S. (. P.
Nice hotel, hip lobby and kind staff. Bed was comfortable and it was very quiet in the rooms. They provided milk for coffee in the morning which I really appreciated.
J. L.
Thier private dining rooms was ideal for our birthday meal. The food in all was good apart from the pork belly which was 95% fat. The waitress said this was normal which was very suprising.
M. R.
It's always such a welcoming hotel!. The only negative is you can't stay down stairs after the bar shuts... I love this hotel, close to tube and great places to eat and drink! Well worth a visit! 💖💖
T. O.
Thank you Hoxton for caring us great while we are stayed! Promise whenever I am going to out and about in Shoreditch visitation, I will always use the Hoxton Hotel as a place for meetings. The bar area (The Hoxton Grille) is perfect for this and there is always a vibrant atmosphere. The actual hotel is very reasonable for somewhere so nice and the location is perfect.
The waiting staff is wonderful and the cocktail menu is superb with a wide range of gorgeous drinks at great prices.
The place is usually full of busy media types but the log fire, artwork and comfy sofas enable you to feel relaxed and at home.
Great!!
M. C.
Stayed at The Hoxton last week for a couple of days and had the best time ever. Shoreditch is my favourite Hoxton in London, it has such a great vibe and the staff is absolutely amazing!
Very close to the tube, there is lots of bars and restaurants around but even if you just want to hang out in the hotel they have an amazing lobby with some great coffee!
Haven’t tried their restaurant but the little breakfast bag that you get delivered to your room in the morning is an absolute plus.
Can't wait to be back!
A. Z.
Great bar on the ground floor while soundproofed in the upper floors. Still they move some furniture in the night producing noise.
Quality beds.
International power outlets.
Free banana, juice and granola yoghurt for breakfast.
G. E.
Went there early one Saturday evening and they had a happy hour from 4-7pm. They had a special on cocktails, £5 for mojitos and Aperol sprtiz. They have a nice garden / conservatory area with a DJ and they brought free food with the drinks. Inside is more of a traditional cocktial bar and restaurant - the old fashioned and dirty vodka martinis were both excellent
D. C. B.
One of the nicest places I stayed at in London so far. Great design. Great lively lobby people are actually using, decent hassle free Wi-Fi. Continual plug in the room. They have many details right, and leave away the stuff nobody actually needs (minibar, sewing kit,...). Loud aircon in the yard unfortunately, so sleeping with window open was a bit hard. Otherwise pretty much perfect.
D. P.
You will definitely love this.place.. a very happening location. Great cocktails and feel like you office cafeteria. Friendly staff and great F&B options.

Visit : Last minute booking / singular / for meeting
Pleasantly surprised by this place. Hoxton has come along way since i used to dwell in the area and sold my residence to relocate overseas - Hoxton has a great number of spots but overall its still a pretty grim and dirty area
Hoxton Hotel ( and i also used the bar and restaurant ) is a very good call to go in the local area and was packed when i checked in, just before lunch, and then that late afternoon and evening.
The check in area was in some confusion when i was heading to the room around 5-6 as some tourists were clearly not sure of whether they should grab a drink and/or check-in at the same time
Staff were exceptionally friendly every time i communicated with them
Building / room was in good condition. The TV set up is a little dated as you can't stream from your mobile device etc via casting
As a note for crowd - i was slightly concerned it would be overloaded with 'hipsters' but it wasn't - there was enough of a mix to dilute them ... in fact in the afternoon there were a number of variously styles persons having meetings from suits to casuals : a good mix
Notes : Would recommend hotel (more so if you're happy / know area) / nice atmosphere-feeling-vibe / good for meetings breakfast-coffee-drinks
N. O.
I stayed at The Hoxton for 5 nights and very much enjoyed my stay! Great location, cool rooms and overall good vibes! The bar/restaurant downstairs means a lively atmosphere throughout the day but this noise doesn’t spill into the rooms upstairs. A light breakfast of gronola yoghurt, a banana and organic orange juice is provided daily - just leave a bag provided to you with your choices and timing by the door the night before. Water and milk is replenished daily in your mini fridge as well! Short 5min walk to Old Street station.
J. N.
Nice coffee place to sit and work. Lots of tables/couches. The place is usually busy through the day. But finding a space is not hard. If you are a group, suggest you get there early or be prepared to wait for a while. Evenings are not quite anymore. Becomes very busy and loud.
J. K.
There was an amazing gin tasting session in the courtyard. Obviously the place was busy as a result, but that was half of the atmosphere! Cheap drinks and well made means we were very happy!
C. L.
Looks like a Mac store (but with a fireplace and comfy sofas) on entering. Is actually the lounge of a hotel, but the first layer is a relaxed cafe vibe where people sit for hours working on their MacBooks (no judgement passed, I was one of them), but reveals a cocktail bar and a restaurant as you wander in deeper. Thoroughly delighted to stumble upon a spot where I felt I could take my time to work, and not have to force a seventh cappuccino down me in order to sit there without feeling guilty/pressure to leave. Oat milk lattes were lovely (£3.50).

This is a hotel that epitomises trendiness and exudes style attracting a very young crowd. A bustling informal foyer with lots of seating and hot desks for working or simply going online. There is also a bar which is right in the front so it is easily mistaken from the window for a cafe/bar rather than a hotel.
M.
We went here fore some drinks while meeting friends who were staying at the hotel upstairs. The bar area was large and had the vibe of a fully fledged var and not just a hotel bar. The drinks were generally good, they could make more or less any cocktail you asked for, although they didn't seem to have any listed on a drinks menu so you had to remember what cictails you have had in the past! Cocktails £9 each.

One of the nice hipster hotels in London shoreditch area. They have a great lobby that is very lively and a restaurant in the ground floor. Their rooms are a bit small but nice and big enough for a weekend.
T. C.
I've stayed many times at the Hoxton and it's always a winner. It's a real refuge from the bustle of Shoreditch and the perfect place to chill with a glass of wine. Rooms are clean, comfortable and well-equipped and the staff provide excellent service. Love it.
N. C.
Great hotel for a group of friends ! Well situated in a trendy area, you won’t have to go far for a drink or night out.
The bar is just perfect for a morning coffee, an afternoon tee or a late drink!
h.
Great hotel, leve their concept. Quite nice to hang out in the lobby for afternoon coffee / drinks. Always quite busy since it‘s quite a trendy spot and prices are very fair.

Great, but not as great as it used to be
We’ve been coming to the Hoxton in Shoreditch for quite some time now. The beds are still super comfy, the complimentary breakfast option of muesli, a banana and some orange juice is fab too. Despite a room on the first floor it wasn’t too loud. But we’ve been really annoyed with the quality of the front desk. Every time we wanted to get to our room the key cards had lost the information, which is why we needed to talk to the staff. If you’ve been to the Hoxton you’ll know it’s a bar in evenings, hence loud. The staff didn’t hear us or didn’t understand us and it was plainly painful with a few of them (attitude!). Dear Hoxton staff, if you cannot hear your residents either turn the music down or move reception to a quieter area....
M. B.
Nice hotel, the rooms are decent size, the lobby is cozy. Hotel is a hipster hotspot, so the lobby is always busy. The breakfast you really have to get used to, it’s left in a bag by the door and consists of some juice, a banana and some Joghurt, not really enough for a good start into the day; if you want more you gotta go down and order it in the lobby (and of course pay extra for it).
T. P.
Contemporary, great value for money, good sized beautifully designed rooms with lots of nice touches (I expecially liked browsing through the old lp records). The staff were really helpful, the restaurant and bar is so nice you won't want to go and see London at all. It's a few minutes walk from Old Street tube station and 10 minutes walk from the fabulous Brick Lane.
Definitely recommend this place, I will now always try and stay here
S. S.
Trendy hipster vibe hotel. Lobby gets really loud and packed on the weekends. I could hear it from the 5th floor on the back side of the building. It quietened down by midnight or 1am I seem to recall.
Room was petit but functional and comfortable. House keeping kept moving the big bottles of shampoo and body soap from the shower stall onto the bathroom vanity..Not sure why..A little silly since I don't shower in the sink.
Great neighbuorhood, fun hotel. I would stay here again with no issues.
P. B.
Not the place for you if you're looking to hit the bed early for a quiet night, well not on a Friday or a Saturday at least, but all in all a very nice little boutique hotel. Rooms are small but perfectly formed and stylishly furnished. Tons of stuff to do within a five minute walk, or you're 5 mins from Old Street and 15 mins to Waterloo.
S. W.
A super place to stay in London, not far away from the underground station "old street" in the great Shoreditch. The style of the hotel is super modern, young trendy people everywhere. The work, the learn, and in the evening the lobby is changing in to club.
L. S.
This review is for the lobby. Searching for places to work with my laptop in London, and this is winner winner chicken dinner! (Didn't have dinner but had a few cheeky beers while working). On a Tuesday afternoon, the place is buzzing with …
A. S.
Didn't expect to be photographed on my way in; was pleased I wasn't photographed on my way out. I came to the Hoxton hotel with a few friends for the launch party of 'The Apartment' - a new meeting room concept. By day, a relaxed, comfy flat to put heads together; by night, a full-blown house party. At least that's how it felt the night i was there. Tasty cocktails were flying across what I quickly worked out was the bar, although it looked more like a kitchen. There was a large dining room, library, and there were even bands playing in the sitting room. And yes, the lights were low... After far too much alcohol was consumed for a Wednesday night, our party stumbled out, much later than expected and not sure whether we'd found the next best place to hold a high pressure meeting or the next best place to throw a party.
Check out more of my favourite places in London and photos on Triptease.

Rooms and service are great but every night there is a party going on at the bar. You can hear it very loud in your room wich is not the purpose of a good hotel. Hammering house music is not a good companion for sleep.
D. S.
An old favourite for birthday drinks. It out never fails to deliver on good cocktails, pretentious crowd and shitty bar service.
A fun night out if that's what you're looking for.
Their Espresso and Porn Star Martinis are a win.
S. T.
A modern and well presented hotel. One of the few hotels I've been to which accommodates all your needs without frivolous, ott add ons or prices. Would be 5 stars if it included a better breakfast (normally just a yogurt, orange juice and a banana).
T. C.
Very nice, albeit typical Shoreditch eatery with the macbook crew and hipster touches throughout. Food is good if not exceptional and coffee is excellent. Nice open fire and bathrooms are clean.
C. A.
I've been to the lobby bar a few times for chilled drinks with friends, it's a perfect place to have a bottle of wine (or two!) and a catch up, nice and spacious with big comfy sofas, low lighting and even board games to play!
S. L.
We went for breakfast. They have a really good selection of food and cater for a lot of dietary needs which is handy. Food is of great quality. Just a bit too fancy for my liking but that's just personal preference.
v. c.
Love this hotel. Favourite for London. Rooms are big. Nice bar downstairs, friendly staff. Not overpriced. Definitely will stay again. Great location too.
D. Y.
A loud various in the lobby. User trendy and hip. Has a very narrow demographic of successful twenty something hipsters. Very poor included breakfast option. A single feather pillow provides little to no neck support making sleeping uncomfortable.
S.
Amazing service and cocktails.
C. B.
Great hotel. Lots of designer detailed touches, and tea and coffee facilities in room. Also have free milk and water in the mini fridge which is convenient. Location is right in the center of Shoreditch, perfect for going out!
A. H.
A great chilled out atmosphere. Wonderful for evening cocktails and dinner, or a Sunday afternoon enjoying a roast and a few beers. The macaroni cheese is lovely!
C. M.
Great location and comfortable, clean, nicely decorated rooms. The one major downside is how noisy this hotel is. The lack of soundproofing in the rooms is pretty surprising for a hotel. Light sleepers beware.
N. S.
Cool hotel in great location. Coffee downstairs really good. Bar really busy on weekends and good for a drink. No 5th star b/c it's missing some details here and there, e.g. really cheap showering towels, not worth for this hotel category.
P. D.
I booked a room here for my friend's birthday. The decor is very contemporary and fresh and the rooms are stylish and comfortable, we managed to reserve a room on one of their £69 deals which is just a bargain for such a stylish and central London hotel.
My only bug bear was with breakfast as you're given a small breakfast bag to take away, however noone told me it'd be found hanging up just to the side of the hotel room entrance, so every time I peeped outside to see if it was there I didn't see it, leading to several calls down to reception.... The upside was there were about 4 breakfast bags waiting for us when we finally sussed out where they were being kept!
A cooked breakfast would have made this even better, but with the change you get from such a good value room, you can always pop to a local eaterie if you want something more than the complimentary grab bag!
S. P.
Very stylish hotel and rooms. Bad is very confortable but not cleanest bed sheets, too. The breakfast bags are rather disappointing. You will get a cheap yogurt, a banana and an orange juice (worth 2 pounds). If you like your breakfast... then get ready to spend some money somewhere else (starbucks is actually not that far :))
N. S.
Nice food & great ambience!! Loved the place. Perfect for dates!!
N. S.
Such a great place for a drink and a bit of free wifi. Roaring fire, coffees, beers, impressive spirit selection, and fresh fruit smoothie. Very cool. The place to go when twiddling thumbs or trying to work in Shoreditch.
K. L.
Great simple breakfast menu, and really nice chilled atmosphere! Very friendly staff :) had the smashed avo on toast and it was delicious!
B. S.
Great hotel and very attending staff. Truly different hotel experience that goes beyond and delivers happy memories each time. Bar and restaurant are must too. All so friendly.
S. B.
It's a trendy, clean well staffed place to grab a coffee and bite to eat.
It's obvious during the day a lot of people are working here too, so if you don't mind a few laptops about the place it's well worth a visit.
M. W.
The hotel bar is one of my favourite local watering holes. Friday and Saturday nights his place is packed, but never busy enough to have to wait in line. Also no cover, which is rare in Shoreditch.
P.
Fast easy check-in at the hotel. Cozy and stylish digs with all necessary amenities. Friendly staff and a great restaurant too!
M. B.
Love the quiet rooms overlooking the inner garden. Great restaurant and bar. Nice place to catch-up with colleagues. Coffees are quite good.
M. B.
The service was excellent and the room a much welcome home from home. Although we'd eaten dinner elsewhere, we just couldn't resist trying a couple of their tempting deserts, both of which were worth the trip alone.
J. B.
The best service I've had at any hotel. Normal people with a bit of chat who get stuff done quickly. Nice compact rooms. Great restaurants and bar area with wifi and lots of people working
A. W.
Nice setting , lounge bar with chilled music friendly service. We went for whisky, bar staff didn't really know much about it but were friendly. Prices high, even for london
P. B.
Similar vibe to the nearby Ace, the Hoxton has nice public spaces including a popular bar and working spaces. The scene in the lobby can get pretty busy, but even on the first floor (where I stayed on this trip) the sounds of partying were are barely noticed. The rooms are tiny, but the bed is comfortable, the room clean and the shower powerful. I will say the desk chair is painfully uncomfortable. The Hoxton is relatively new, sporting that IKEA-fresh scent. Skip the complementary yogurt with (mushy) granola and (green) banana for breakfast.
H. A.
The Hoxton is a great looking hotel. You walk in and it's a vibrant cosy feeling making it fit right in in Shoreditch. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and the rooms where we the event was held were very nice, right next to a big kitchen.
The whole place gas a great style and atmosphere.
A. C.
Had drinks at a table reserved for a group of friends. Good wine and beer available, and allowed us to bypass the long bar queue. Great night had by all.
D. L.
Recommended by friend who lives nearby. Room is cool. Lobby scene is extraordinary. Staff nice enough. Didn't eat there so can't say anything about the food.
S. P.
Excellent grills esp spare ribs. Wow wooden decor, yellow dim lights and red cushions. Feels v comfy, cheerful staff. Enjoyed.
m.
Just popped in for a hot bevvie and brownie. It's pretty hard to find a place that will do a nice hot chocolate for a lacto-fusspot like me but they didn't do half bad here. The atmosphere is very relaxed and service was top, top notch. The fireplace was lush on that crisp January afternoon.
K. A.
Great music! Good vibes. Too many drunk girls though when I was there lol. Guess they were enjoying their Friday night indeed.
K. Z.
Location is excellent, only a short walk from Old Street station. Used a meeting room for a few hours. The room had a nice atmosphere. Food service was good.
s. 7.
Beautiful hotel. Breakfast was lovely. Friendly staff and very accommodating. Highly recommended.
M. N.
Great hotel in the heart of Shoreditch. Rooms are small but the price is right. The lobby and restaurant is chic and lively and is a nice place to hangout for a coffee or drink.
M. B.
Cool hotel. Rooms are decent size and it has everything you need.
Staff were super friendly and told us about heaps of great spots to try too.
J. C.
Absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. Really cool vibe & the rooms have so much character. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. If you're visiting London, this is the place to stay!
K. P.
Fab hotel, we got a great deal on our room, we'd booked because @SilentPoolGin had a pop up bar this particular week and we wanted to check it out. As The Silent Pool is just down the road from where we live. We had a great time, great stay and explored the local area. The @SilentPoolGin team were excellent and even gave us 2 of their distinctive @SilentPoolGin glasses as we purchased a bottle
A. C.
Ate in the restaurant. Food is lovely -- not a cheap bite but the place has a nice, lively atmosphere and everything is to a high standard. A nice place for a workday lunchtime treat or simple but delicious dinner.
K. S.
Adore staying here. The rooms are small but really well designed and the restaurant does a smashing breakfast
They also do great deals throughout the year, keep an eye out
T. W.
Came for lunch, had the baby back ribs. They were fairly tough and dry, the sauce was too sweet for my taste. The chips were nice and the service was good.
A. A.
Loved the atmosphere, the bar&grill, the (light) breakfast delivered to your door every morning. Reception personnel very courteous and always available to accomodate requests.
A. K.
Really amazing kooky style, lovely staff and superb rooms, really pleased with my experience. Some minor check in problems, and the restaurant / bar was quite busy at all times, but on the whole a lovely place!
I. J.
Trendy modern hotel on the traffic-choked main drag through shoreditch/Hoxton. This is a review of the restaurant/cafe areas, not the rooms.
Exciting when it launched it's now a meeting/work place for local workers to meet in the cafe/restaurant. Food is ok - a sort of British-modern fare. Again, feels a bit tired now.
In all a solid place, but doesn't have the zing or the quality to be a food destination.
A. G.
Lovely menu of well presented good value food. Service can be very slow at lunch and waiting staff a little inattentive at times. Steaks are always fantastic.
V. M.
Noisy during the weekend. Not a hotel for hotelguests to relax in due the club scene in the lobby. Our room had an adjacent room. Which was quite noisy. Trendy hotel with good food.
C. M.
Really funky hotel right in the centre of a great neighbourhood. Loads of additional extras, and not too expensive, either. Free breakfast (and since it's the guy who set up Pret, it's good stuff). Pool table in the lobby, free wifi... great staff....
C. J.
We arrived around 5ish and had to wait for a table. It wasn't too packed though. More people started pouring in from around 8ish. Decor was nice, bar service was good and there was a general good vibe all around
G. X.
My review is only for the bar, the bar is lovely with wonderful people! The BEST is the bar staff! Especially, Vladislav!!! The BEST barman in London! Without a doubt! Certainly an asset to this establishment!
H. B.
Fab venue we hired a private room which is a huge conservatory in the middle of the hotel..the food was good the staff were friendly and it was so good to have so much room as we danced and had entertainment in there. Highly recommended
J. P.
Really quiet and comfy place. The fireplaces it's the nicer place in the bar, so normally are full, but there are another areas like the one that is near the bookshelves, that are nice too. Food and drinks are good, but a little bit expensive
O. S.
This is more a review of an excellent waitress we had than the place itself. The cocktails are pretty nice, but our waitress Beata was a rare gem in the abyss of non-spectacular English service!
Beata is an exceptionally friendly waitress that made us feel right at home an ocean away from ours. She was attentive, but just as happy to laugh at our jokes than take our orders. She understands the social dynamic and never interrupted our flow of conversation when checking in on us. She was knowledgable about the menu and even made sure to mention the special offerings without overselling them.
If we ever return to the Hoxton Hotel bar, I'll only place orders with Beata. Make sure to ask for her if you're at this place.
R. B.
I think this is a great bar. And I don't ever really like bars. But the food is very good and it is very big and tall so it never feels too crowded.
M. C.
Super cozy, great service, great food and drinks. Amazing lounge area where to sit, work and find new friends. My favorite hotel in London
J. M.
New menu since my last visit! Always a winner for a nice Sunday lunch with friends. Menu now has gluten free items indicated as standard.
E. H.
Attended the Silent Pool Gin "masterclass" event. Fantastic time! The master brewer Corey was very engaging and I learnt a lot about the process of developing and producing gin, while also having the chance to mix up a few cocktails myself. Will be picking up a bottle soon!

I love the Hoxton - the days when it was uber trendy may be behind it, but the fact that it is still buzzing and just such a nice place to be, for visitors and locals alike, to me is even more of a success. Starting from the lobby - the hip yet pared down interior does not sacrifice cosiness to cool and I have spent many happy evenings-to-nights on the comfy sofas. In winter, the huge fireplaces really add a special touch.
The Hoxton features a restaurant- the Grill- open to non guests, and of which I am a proud "member" (amazing discounts on weekends) and definitely a regular. You maybe won't find mind-blowing culinary innovation, but the food is solid, well executed and always served with flair and a smile, Other places in the neighbourhood come and go, some really push boundaries, the Hoxton though is constantly full with happy, smiling (and occasionally tipsy) people. I especially like it for a weekend brunch, and in summer there's even a lovely patio garden -if the British summer is indeed showing up.
In short, the Hoxton is still a reliable and fun place in a fast-changing area.
C. E.
Great big location with amazing brunches on offer! Amazing cocktails. Can handle big groups and service is great! Love this part of London xxx
S. D.
Very nice place to have a coffee and a place to do some work. If you can find a seat as it gets really busy. Also, it's quite pricey, as you'd expect from a hotel bar
N. P.
Great place to sit in. It is open until 2 am, staff seems to keep their cool even during the busiest evenings. Sofas are comfortable and decoration is lovely.
A. D.
Just had drinks. Cocktails where very good but not the absolute best. Place it's self is a large open area, classy and up market
K. v. R.
Really liked it here. Nice and friendly, clean, chic, central. Was on a business trip but could easily have stayed longer. Very cool design and interior, nice vibe.
G. V. G.
The food we had for brunch was very good. Never seen egg yolk that orange! The service was subpar though. Slow to come to your table, but friendly though.
T. B. T.
Really cool hotel and really cool staff.
But we ordered 2 x 2 queensize singelbed room but got 2 queensize and a singelroom.
Clean and classy. Love it.
C. C.
Its almost 5 star! I love it and always stay there when Im in London. Good value for money. The only But is that i could not make an early check in when I arrived with an early night flight very tired.
S. A.
Great lunch at hoxton hotel in Shoreditch. We ordered the flat grilled chicken and the beef burger, delicious food and impeccable service.
N. D.
Had two mini plates for lunch (chicken wings and macaroni bites), both were really tasty and my colleagues also enjoyed their meals. Staff friendly and helpful.
C. H.
This is a super nice and chill place to go for drinks or dinner. Hip and trendy. Quality and price are very good, service as well
H. Z.
Nice place but too crowded during the weekend. Restaurant is good (food really fresh and tasty). Reception hostesses are not the best ones in town
T. F. (.
The staff are helpful but hard to hear in the busy reception area. The rooms are great and well equipped. Breakfast is a small yogurt and a banana in a bag, but for an additional charge you can eat in the restaurant.
A.
Came here for breakfast with a boyfriend a couple of months ago and had their full English, which was really nice, but their pancakes are what I really loved - they were big and thick and tasted incredible! Hopefully will come back again just for their pancakes :)
R. M.
One of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. Such a cool vibe, I would 100% recommend. Love all of the little details like the radio and breakfast!
S. B.
Awesome hotel! Staff was really nice. I really enjoyed.
K. L.
Great simple breakfast menu, and really nice chilled atmosphere! Very friendly staff :) had the smashed avo on toast and it was delicious!
N. A.
Love this place! Chic, relaxed and stylish. My go to place to while away the time
P. W.
Nice atmosphere. Love all the books randomly placed. Area around the hotel is a little run down though.
M. O.
Great location to explore east London from and really lively restaurant and bar in the lobby. Room was great too. Lots of small touches made it a special stay.
L. G.
Very nice bar with good mocktails on demand. The music is good and the area is really nice.
B. B.
The rooms were clean and quirky. Breakfast was easy.
For the price I paid Id certainly recommend staying here.
H. Z.
Nice place but too crowded during the weekend. Restaurant is good (food really fresh and tasty). Reception hostesses are not the best ones in town
O. B.
The downstairs of the hotel has one of the best night life and bars in Shoreditch from Thursday-Saturday
S. R.
Awesome place to stay. Nice bar. Great breakfast. Many coffee choices 👌🏾
D. M.
Uber trendy! Had a work thing here. Good coffee!
WiFi is annoying as hell. Boots you every so often to force you to sign in / up again. Not helpful when working.
S. B.
Love it so far. Rooms are quite small but very stylish. Staff is very kind. Lunch breakfasts at the door is a plus!
L. O.
I have always enjoyed the bar here, always a good vibe. The venue is amazing and very social. Live DJ set nights are so much fun!
J. H.
Great evening venue for drinks for non-hotel guests. They don't seem to put any capacity control limits on so busy nights get a bit uncomfortable
N. F.
Rooms very chic, service excellent, made me feel like a rock star. A but expensive, and they did not update soaps when I needed it. Other wise delightful experience
M. S.
Super comfy bed, awesome rain shower, and nice decor. The free fresh milk and water in the mini fridge was much appreciated.
R. T.
My favourite Shoreditch bar. The vibe in The Houston is great, prices are reasonable and WiFi speeds are fantastic. This is a great place to visit to catch up on emails or do a bit of adhoc work. Staff are friendly and waiters are quick and in abundance. They also do amazing hotel rooms here. I love The Hoxton!
e. b.
Excellent coffee, good place for a meeting if you can find a space amongst the hipsters with their macbooks. Or just head straight for the bar for a very respectable negroni.
L. K.
Great design hotel and rooms with great bar downstairs and I like the concept with breakfast brought to your room
C. C.
Loved this cosy hôtel
Handwritten note from the front desk made me feel very welcomed
Coffee in the room is very nice
Rooms are brand new in a vintage style
Definitely staying here on my future stay
Θ. Λ.
It feels like staying at home. The room is grest. There's a lite breakfast waiting outside the door in a paper bag. The hotel is zone 2 and the Old Street metro station (northen line) is about 300m away.
M. M.
My favorite place to stay in London. The lobby is a in-place with great drinks and quite a crowd. Rooms are small but well equipped and clean
J. P.
Great great great great! A very nice hotel, cute design, tasty coffee (i ordered my self online aftersince), great surroundings and nice hoteliers! Very accessible to train station as well.
P. M.
Highlights:
• Cool lobby
• Great food and drink options
• Free breakfast
• Good shower with great products
Lowlights:
• Staff can be pretentious & not helpful
• No streaming from phone to TV or even an option to watch anything other than local television
• Expensive for what you actually get
D.
Nice place - very loud volume from the courtyard between 6pm - 11pm (when it is closed), and the lobby is crammed full of hipsters on Macbooks working on their latest freelance media project or fashion/lifestyle blog.
A. F.
Lovely sofa by the fireplace, perfect spot on a cold London day! Loved the design and the lamps resembling enormous halos! Or full eternity rings! 😊
F. F.
Visited for an early breakfast meeting. Lovely food and a very funky setting in a cool part of town! I almost turned into a hipster!
J. H.
Great service, nice comfortable rooms. Amazing (huge) breakfast!
A. G.
Fantastic hotel, lively room. Staff helpful and friendly. Complementary breakfast bag was a nice touch. Will definitely stay again.
L. d. M.
I've been only to have a coffee and a snack with a friend. Lovely atmosphere, very cosy with interesting decoration. Excellent place to meet for coffee or drinks.
C. F.
The Hoxton has become the cornerstone of trips to London for me. The customer experience, relaxed atmosphere and attention to detail are what makes this place unique. Whether you are staying the night, grabbing lunch or enjoying a coffee- you'll like it here. The Hox Team really stepped up this weekend when I was celebrating my birthday, we had a nightmare with a venue cancelling a meal planned for ten of us. However, the folks at The Hoxton took it upon themselves to rectify and better the situation for my guests and I, particularly Pippa (THANK YOU).
F. K.
Great atmosphere. Beautiful decor and chill vibe. Great lobby for getting some work done or catching up with a friend over drinks/coffee.
D. S.
I love the Hoxton in Shoreditch and its sister hotels in Amsterdam and Holborn. The bedrooms are large enough to be comfortable and small enough to be intimate. They have exactly what I want in a room - a comfortable bed, good quality linen, a great shower, soft towels, a large enough desk to work at. The lobby area is large and buzzing - it must be one of the most popular places to meet in Shoreditch.
M. R.
Not just a great hotel (staff & comfort) but also great place for drinks. Additional pros: chorizo-jalapeño-mac'n'cheese, photo booth, beer selection.
a. b.
Always a good atmosphere in here with all different ages of clientele coming together nicely. Excellent service considering how busy it always is. Food is good and again service excellent
L. Y.
Nice hotel, great service, breakfast can be improved but other than that my favourite so far.
G. B.
I really like the Hoxtons. Spent a lot of time in the Hoxton Holborn, and now tried the original in Shoreditch.
Comfortable, cosy, bustling with professionals. Great food, service and atmosphere.
Get there early though if you intend to work or meet someone. You might not find a table!
A. G.
bar was busy but there was plenty of room for sitting/drinking. Atmosphere was great and although i didnt eat, the food looked and smelt amazing
J. M.
Event in the back room. Was a great layout and furnished like someone's flat, helping yourself to drinks from the fridge and food etc Very good for networking as helped provide a relaxed environment and the event was great too
R. S.
Fun hotel in the heart of buzzing Shoreditch. Lobby gets super vibey and buzzy in the evenings. Rooms are teeny-tiny but well appointed and cleverly thought out.
J. W.
Although quite expensive, the atmosphere and layout of this bar make it worth the trip. There's a varied menu for dining, some cool book cases and art for sale
C. P.
Amazing food, coffee, seating, and decor. Perfect for working out of the office, meetings, or just hanging out. Two beautiful fireplaces and fantastic.
S. J.
This was amazing. Yes, it may be a little north of the City, but it's worth it here for the friendly service, the great rooms, and the low prices. I loved it.
Cons: Out of the city
Pros: Low price for great room/hotel, right near tube station.
S. S.
Great place built just when gentrification of Shoreditch was in its pregnancy. We were lucky to watch the Shard being built and the top floors have views that were initially dominated by the Gherkin. You can see the Cheese Grater too. The Hox as it is locally known supports a very lively atmosphere and was one of the first to offer free wifi (no access code or registration) when opened. Inside are live a permanent art gallery and an apartment that can be pre-booked. Plenty of meeting rooms, a ping pong table and pop up shops have come and gone. Reception staff are very friendly and always courteous. A good few have been with the hotel since its inception around 2004. The lounge/restaurant is one of the places to be seen on Friday evenings. All amenities are included notable of which is the inclusive breakfast consisting of an orange juice, banana and granola. Initially built by the owner of Pret-a-Manger the hotel recently changed hands and acquired sister sites in Holborn and Amsterdam. We have never looked back since our first stay in 2006 when friends would raise eyebrows at the mentioning of Hoxton and taxi drivers would be pleasantly surprised on discovering this institution that encouraged gentrification to an unloved part of London's East End. As I write this in 2016, a boutique hotel is being built behind the Hoxton on Willow Street and a massive complex is being built further up and off Great Eastern Street where the infamous Chariots was housed. Expectations, a few doors from the Hoxton still exists though! A co-op supermarket has opened up across from the hotel. The hotel is a short walk from Old Street station and you can easily walk all the way to Brick Lane. Old and New Spitalfields market is even nearer as is access to Liverpool Limestreet Station. One gripe which is a casualty of this hotels success is that checked-in guests may struggle to find a seating space in the open lounge/restaurant area. Calls for a separate area have fallen on deaf ears.
M. O.
Great location to explore east London from and really lively restaurant and bar in the lobby. Room was great too. Lots of small touches made it a special stay.
R. M.
Great place to stay or to have a drink. Amazing atmosphere and good music, great selection of cocktails
L. J.
Fabulous in every single way! Absolutely faultless. Best hotel I've stayed in in London. Thank you to all the great staff who work so hard to make it so brilliant.
M. B.
Had breakfast here twice, both were off the hook awesome. The poached eggs and avocado toast was particularly excellent, best version ever with expertly done eggs.
M. M. N. (. M.
A upper class location in colourful part of shoreditch London. Beautiful apartments, fancy restaurant, good bar and comfy seats. Top

Happy with the meal and service usually take my daughter these days and they bring a high chair etc. …

Food fine if expensive but bar and restaurant area too noisy for easy conversation. Other patrons (younger?) did not seem to mind.

One of my favourite hotels. The location is spot on; brilliant decor; great atmosphere; helpful staff!
J. K.
Nice one

One of the best places in Shoreditch, though Nobu just behind now is now another option. I prefer the Nobu bar so sometimes stay in one and drink in the other

Drank in the bar late one Thursday night. Very chilled, with big comfy sofas and a fire. It was a lovely place to end end the evening.

Funky hotel for not too much cash. Ping pong table in the lounge, great grill bar as well. Think it was set up by the dude who started Pret, cos you get a free Pret-style brekkie each day. Worth a visit.

Good trendy establishment wish a good restaurant. We used the meeting rooms for a team away day which went well.
C. O.
Great boutique hotel with lots of personality! Cute rooms and a great bar downstairs with a great soundtrack.
R. B.
Totally cool. Rooms comfortable. Bar buzzing. Shoreditch all around. I was the only person over 30 in the place!
A. R. N.
The kind of experience you expect from the Ritz, but without the fluff. Amazing staff, great atmosphère, beautiful interior.

Good food, excelent music, inovative idea naming the rooms as librar, finding room etc, nice surprise finding a photo booth there.
V. S.
Nice place with nice drinks .. good coffee.. great desserts..and very chilled vibe! Super busy over the weekend!!

Best hotel ever! Asked the front desk for pie shop reccomendations in passing and then went out for evening. Came back to a personal note and a list of shops. Amazing customer service. #stayattheHox

Think of "bar in a library meets a 70s/Hygge-styled living room". Private party rooms with bare brickwork, wooden tables, sofas and designer kitchen styling.
R. F.
Service is fine. Rooms are comfortable, but the internet signal is slow and poor. Falls short when you are in town for work.
P. W.
Nice atmosphere. Love all the books randomly placed. Area around the hotel is a little run down though.
C. O.
Fantastic hotel and décor. No complaints about service or staff. A phone call waking us up on the hotel phone soured the experience a little. However already contemplating a return trip
M. G.
Good food & bar, nice rooms, great wifi. For what it's worth, this hotel is a magnet for militant hipsters and creative elites.

Great place to relax and work or socialise. Private rooms available for business meetings too, well catered
L. S.
The Hoxton maintains its chill and amiable atmosphere despite being quite advanced into gentrification. The starter special continues to be a value and the front lobby is a wonderful place to people watch.

I love The Hox. Quite literally a home from home. Never been let down by staff or quality and even when standards are not quite where expected, a quick word at the front desk and the staff all step up to deliver a first class experience.
S. R.
Nice cosy place. Food is good. Check-in time is strictly at 2pm though. You will have to wait for the room even if you arrive 15mins early.
L. B.
Nice place, great location. My room was just missing an iron. Other than that it was faultless
L. M.
Had a private space at the bar for a large group. Decent food and good atmosphere.

Great for cocktails with friend in the evening, though often crowded. Whiskey sour or Old fashions are always well made.
L. R.
Hip place in east London. Rooms are on the small side, packed breakfast in bed is super fun! Definitely the place to stay if visiting shoreditch, hoxton and east London in general.
S. R.
Great space for casual meet up, relaxing at the front, working, coffee and food. Staff are good and not pushy.
c. b.
Lovely place, great for sitting with friends and getting sloshed surrounded by decent decor

Beautiful lounge bar and atmosphere! Great for an evening or to book for an event
P. D.
Interesting bar good selection of drinks. Bar\snack food was ok for a function. Work well for corporate night out
H. D.
I just came here to grab a drink in the evening. The place has a very good atmosphere but may tend to become a bit crowded (the price for its success)
L. S.
Very trendy vibe going on. Great service and great staff. Meeting rooms and facilities excellent
A. G.
Swanky aesthetic. Great coffee. Great service. Great nightlife in the hotel bar/lounge. Overall, would visit again.

Make sure you don't get mixed up with The Hoxton, Holburn. I've done this before; got there early, nice couches and table, VIP, the works. My mates were in the Shoreditch location. Devastated!
L. G.
Very nice bar with good mocktails on demand. The music is good and the area is really nice.
H. J.
Rooms are clean and hip, lobby has a great bar with decent DJs playing
C.
The bar has a nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Drinks are ok, a little bit expensive.
R. E.
Nice crowd. Food is very tasty and our particular waitress was amazing and gave such friendly, genuine service.
V. B.
I knew this to be a really good place, but I didn't realize that there were rooms at the back called the Apartments and these are just like the name, these apartment rooms our for private hire bookings.

Wonderful place to be during the day early evening. Got quite a shock coming back from dinner one evening to find they had turned it into club. Not impressed.
R. H.
A lovely place to have a drink. The decor is homely, warm and cozy and the cocktails were good too.
M. S.
Very nice hotel and friendly staff. Extremely popular bar with non-guests which can be a mixed blessing.
G. D.
Great place to stay in shoreditch. Rooms are nice and clean. Free breakfast every morning. Staff is friendly and helpful
A. M.
It's in a great area of east London, the rooms are clean and the beds super comfy. Would stay there again!
D. F. C.
Comfy sofas, good drinks at reasonable prices, great atmosphere. Food in the restaurant is also good, would recommend for brunch!
J. G.
Very chilled atmosphere, great food and great for business meetings with a difference as the meeting rooms here are quite arty and inspiring.

Wonderful meal at The Hoxton and I can’t wait to return

Good place to start your night. Plenty of drinks and people to admire.
N. O.
I stayed at The Hoxton for 5 nights and very much enjoyed my stay! Great location, cool rooms and overall good vibes! The bar/restaurant downstairs means a lively atmosphere throughout the day but this noise doesn’t spill into the rooms …
G. W.
Love coming here for a drink, never feels busy and is cosy
T. B. T.
Really cool hotel and really cool staff.
But we ordered 2 x 2 queensize singelbed room but got 2 queensize and a singelroom. …

B. J.
An office, hotel, restaurant and drinks venue all in one place. Great spot.
C. M.
Great location and comfortable, clean, nicely decorated rooms. The one major downside is how noisy this hotel is. The lack of soundproofing in the rooms is pretty surprising for a hotel. Light sleepers beware.
P. D.
Interesting bar good selection of drinks. Bar\snack food was ok for a function. Work well for corporate night out
Z. A.
Nice central location, we enjoyed our stay. Underground Metro station around 3 minutes walking distance from the hotel.
J. C.
Nice buzzing vibe on a Sunday afternoon. Food was good. Drinks were lovely too. Will definitely be going back
Y. M.
Very helpful staffs. The meeting room concept is like apartment style, which is give more personal feel.
A. K.
This place is hip and trendy. However I felt that the rooms are small compared to hotels of similar level.
M. A.
Lovely hotel and friendly staff. Not worth the money but that's London price's. 10 minute walk from Shoreditch High Street station. Easy to find.
S. E.
Well, if this isn't a hipster place, then what is? The Hoxton is cool, design-driven, friendly- stuffed and it is a good home away from home if you are on a business trip to London. Right in the middle of shoreditch.
J. H.
From the small breakfast to the beautiful and vibrant lobby, I am a huge fan of this hotel and the Hoxton brand! Do yourself a favor and look for Hoxtons whenever your travel- you won’t regret it!
I. B.
Tres chic. Magnificent atmosphere and enjoyable cocktails. Somewhere between a sophisticated house party and a very upscale bar.
O. G.
Great modern hotel.
Rooms are spacioua location great and the hoxton grill is a trendy spot.
Millions of high end bars in 5 mins walk.
A. K.
This place is cosy and has a great atmosphere and some good music. Staff are polite and have never had a problem coming here.
