S. J. D.The Rockwell offered superb value for money; our room was huge and well-equipped with everything we could want (a great view, a mini-fridge, a fantastic shower, luxurious toiletries). The hotel was also super well-positioned in terms of the tube, and local amenities. Staff were polite and helpful. My only issue is that our bed was actually two beds, meaning it was quite uncomfortable to lay in the middle.
H. F.This is a review heavily based on the value for money as I paid £61 a night (without breakfast) for two nights. The hotel is lovely, the man who checked us in was so welcoming and we couldn’t have asked for more. The room was a decent size, nice wardrobe area and a mini fridge, bottled water and a wine bottle opener! Really impressed that the toiletries in the bathroom were White Company stuff. There are hard and soft pillows too. Bed was firm but comfortable to sleep on. Nice view from the 4th floor, actually quite peaceful considering the built up area. If I was nit picking I could mark them down for stains on the carpet, chips on the shower floor, mini fridge seemed to be a little warm, and only 5 hangers for the room. They are very minor things considering the price and ideal location. I would recommend staying here.

The reception staff are so welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
It was a cold evening so I decided to eat in their bar restaurant. The food was actually amazing. I’ve found a real gem of a hotel here. I can’t wait to come back.
C. S.Absolutely amazing hotel. Booked a stay for 3 nights with my partner in the Double Deluxe Room, and we enjoyed each night. The room was huge on the 3rd floor facing Cromwell rd (which wasn't loud at all), the staff was lovely and helpful, the bathroom was good size and had lots of storage room. The room wasn't too cold or hot, it was just perfect. The only complaint is about the breakfast options—there were no options for vegans, just vegetarians (availability of eggs, cheese, beans, mushrooms, dairy products). No fresh salad or tomatoes. If they had more options for vegans, it would've been even more amazing.
S. R.Stayed a The Rockwell for one night passing through. It was definitely worth the rate! Cutest little restaurant/bar downstairs and loved the decoration and the look of the hotel. It was boutique style and just around the corner from Tons of restaurants and Shops (I highly recommend Addie's Thai if you like Thai food). I didn't use the Tube so can't write on that. I would definitely stay here again for a night or two. I would maybe try to upgrade rooms as the room and bed I was in was rather small which is to be expected traveling to England. I was able to keep my luggage at the front while I worked in the bar for the rest of the day. The vegetable soup was amazing and so was the service by Sorina. The two males that worked at the front desk were extremely helpful with early check in and even let me toast some crumpets before bed time.
O. S.The staff were lovely, and look after you. The place was incredibly clean, well looked after, and felt modern, cosy and comfortable. I had a single room which was very well priced. It was small but had everything I needed and the quality of everything including the bathroom and shower was spot on. Comfortable beds too. Great location, for that price in London you would normally get much lower quality.
V.My stay, though short, was absolutely amazing. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and beautiful, lots of attention to detail and if you need anything they'll gladly assist you.

P.Lost in London 2020.
I have lost my partner, I have lost my home but I have found Roxanna and Kiko. Late October 2020 in the middle of the pandemic I had to leave my home and move out. I emailed and contacted many hotels to find nice and comfortable long-term stay.
Most of the replies have been very quick and no one really cared about my situation, I don’t want to go into details now.
Only ONE, responded to me with a personal touch and this was Roxanna, the one and only Hotel Manager.
She invited me to view the rooms and whenever I feel ready, I can decide which room is the best for my stay, I felt very welcomed from the first moment on.
First I a only booked for 2 weeks, but after I felt so welcomed and good I stayed for 3 months and I would stay even longer....
I can not say how much, I loved to stay in this place I felt like home even do I had a little room and not lot to do.
Never will this moment be forgotten, I thank Roxanna so much for her positive attitude , always smiling, always kind, nothing is a problem, everything can be solved.
As she would say.........
We have to keep the spirit up.
Unfortunately, due to all the restrictions and new guidelines on a weekly base I have to check out.
HEAVY hearted I will leave and will never forget this journey.

We arrived late and retired, sleeping well on a very comfortable bed. The room was very quiet despite the hotel being on a major road. We loved little touches like water and toiletries. The room was very well equipped. Breakfast was tasty with a good range of food on offer with free newspapers on hand. This is a lovely boutique hotel and we cannot rate it highly enough!

Great breakfast; I would advice to go a la carte and with 10-15 pounds you can get a lot. Excellent food, very good quality (and not the usual cheap-average continental breakfast). Thanks for that!

t. V.FANTASTIC ! it was my daughters 21st and they brought her a cake with a candle and left a card in the room ! The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very efficient and accommodating. It took 4 mins walking from the tube to the hotel and every time i emailed the hotel the staff replied very quickly! i will definitely stay again!
C. R.Almost everything about the hotel and the stay was great - but the breakfast let it down somewhat & a shame. Granted we did arrive for breakfast at 10:00 when it was closing at 10:30, but hardly last minute. The woman basically made me feel uncomfortable and like I shouldn't be there bothering her. I had to ask for a ton of stuff like a glass, some butter, some ketchup, etc etc. And then what little remained of the hot buffet was dry and pretty cold. Not pleasant at all. However, on a plus point, the room was lovely and uncomfortable. Hotel very well located and in a nice order too.
A. d. B.In January 2020, I stayed at the Rockwell Hotel for a few nights. I was visiting due to a VERY SPECIAL REASON. It was my 50th BIRTHDAY... and... I was born in London, at a hospital only a few minutes walk from this hotel - which I wanted to visit (though the hospital building had been converted to residential apartments).
There was also another reason why I chose to stay at The Rockwell Hotel: Back when I was born, The Rockwell used to be called ‘The Monarch’..... Both my mother and father worked at this hotel before I was born. My mother worked in housekeeping while pregnant of me... and my father worked at the reception desk. I can’t even put into words what it meant for me to stay at this hotel. I grew up far away, in South America, so it was the first time in my life visiting this location.
It was truly emotional to be a guest at The Rockwell. My mother passed away a few years ago and I’m sure she would have been delighted to know I was staying there. When I arrived, I showed my birth certificate to the manager Roxana, and told her my story. The staff treated me like royalty, made my stay the most pleasurable possible because they knew what a special moment that was for me. Roxana showed me which parts of the hotel were remodelled and which are still original from the Monarch era, like the lovely tiled floors downstairs and the beautiful stair railings leading upstairs. My husband and I stayed in a lovely spacious room with a private entry and view to the garden. The location of this hotel was great! Only a few minutes walk to Earl's Court Metro and to the rest of touristic London. All in all, I couldn’t have wished for a more perfect celebration of my 50 years of life. I hope I can come back in 50 years, to celebrate my 100th 😁!! Thank you Roxana and Staff.... xoxoxo
D. S.My girlfriend and I enjoyed a lovely stay at the Rockwell. The room was amazing and well kept and the breakfast was good. Earls Court tube station is conveniently close and there are lots of restaurants near by if you do not want to venture far in the evenings. Overall an excellent hotel.

It could use a some sprucing up as the hotel information binder in our room was taped together, and the pillows on the sofa were a bit ragged. The bed sheets felt like paper. The hotel has a lovely garden to the rear where you can sit with drinks and have dinner. For the price I think this hotel is perfect and in a great location for Kensington and Chelsea with a short walk to pick up the District / Circle Lines.
D. Z.Great clean boutique-style hotel. Stayed here in late 2014. Service was pretty good, although almost no one at the front desk is from London or England. So don't expect them to be full of suggestions for food or non touristy things to do. A great value for London $320us per night.

M. O.The Rockwell is an oasis on the busy Cromwell Road near Earls Court. We walked in and surprisingly, the quiet and splendour of the reception area. I could not hear the road traffic unless the door was open. We had coffee in the bar and our friend who was staying there said that it was a real pleasure staying at the Rockwell. Her room, although it faced the main road, she could not hear the road traffic. The service here was excellent.

R. S.The hotel is located 5 minutes walk from Earls Court tube. It's one of London's independent hotels and as such has a character that none of the chains can match. Staff are very helpful and always available, rooms are bright and cleaned well. I've not eaten there but the bar and restaurant area look very nice, the menu looks very reasonably priced.

As a young couple, if we had to choose one downside, it would be the Wi-fi dropping in and out...but it didn't matter as everything else was pretty much perfect.

I would especially like to mention the csaba staff member, who solved for us a number of problems we encountered, performing a self-test for the corona, filling out digital forms of the corona test and sending them to the local government. And did so naturally and wholeheartedly.
We bought vacuum bags to shrink the shopping for the grandchildren. He provided us with a vacuum cleaner and made sure there was a place available for us.

מלון קטן עם צוות יעיל וחביב שנכון לעזור בכל בעייה. במיוחד אציין לטובה את איש הצוות csaba, שפתר לנו מספר בעיות שבהן נתקלנו, ביצוע בדיקה עצמית לקורונה, מילוי טפסים דיגיטליים של בדיקת קורונה ושליחתם לממשל המקומי. ועשה זאת בטבעיות ועם כל הלב.

Das Hotel hat eine sehr gute Lage und man ist mit der Underground in ein paar Minuten in der Innenstadt. Das Zimmer war sauber und wurde täglich gereinigt und aufgeräumt. Der Service im allgemeinen war sehr gut! Das Hotelzimmer hätte etwas größer sein können, aber für einen Städtetrip war es auf jeden Fall ausreichend. Würde das Hotel jedem weiterempfehlen der ein paar Tage in London verbringt.

Mir hat es sehr gefallen da es zu keiner Kette gehört.
So war es persönlicher.
Es ist verkehrsgünstig zwischen zwei U-Bahnhöfen gelegen, der Bus hält fast vor der Tür.
Das Frühstück ist gut, mit dem Service war ich sehr zufrieden.
Der Frühstücksraum liegt nicht, wie so oft in London, im Keller. Man hat Blick auf den schön gestalteten Garten/Hinterhof.
Bei der Buchung hatte ich mich für ein Superior Room entschieden. Das Zimmer hatte eine angenehme Größe, auch das Bad war geräumig (Dusche könnte großer sein).
Beim nächsten Aufenthalt würde mich ein Garden Room reizen.

Checking in and out didn't even take a minute. The room was - as everywhere in London - small, but had everything you need and was extremely clean.
The speed of the WLAN also made a positive impression in the evening hours.

Das Ein- und Auschecken hat nicht einmal eine Minute gedauert. Das Zimmer war zwar - wie überall in London - klein, bot jedoch alles was man benötigt und war äußerst sauber.
Das WLAN fiel durch seine Schnelligkeit auch in den Abendstunden positiv auf.
Beim Frühstück gab es auch nichts zu bemängeln. Es gab ein typisch britisches und kontinentales zur Auswahl.
