I came for a venue showround - and was blown away by this small oasis of calm. The rooms have recently been refurbished and are gorgeous. The whole place has such an air of calm and welcome - and was spotless.. We had lunch in the formal dining room - which was both delicious and healthy. Later I had a peppermint tea in the Yurt Cafe which is open daily to the public during the day, and in the evening Thursday to Saturday, sometimes with music - and is obviously a well loved community space, with a an attached soul space for quiet contemplation. I came to look at this from a corporate point of view - but I am seriously considering returning for one of their retreats. Just lovely

All in all excellent value, private parking, convenient location, friendly staff and good breakfast. Room was small with little storage but adequate. Our only complaint was that even with the radiator turned off our room was too hot to sleep without having the window open. We will stay again but ask for a cooler room.

The rooms are warm clean and the bed is so comfortable. Continental self serve breakfast was nice and fresh with a good selection of bread, pastries, meat, fruit and cereals. It's really interesting looking around and lots of historical information to read, had a chat with the priest or the vicar sorry not sure what religion it is but he was super warm and friendly explained to me about some of the history of the place. Only downside was the hall way isn't carpeted and is very echoy so it's an early start with banging doors and people talking but other than that was perfect.

We needed to stay in London, having driven down from Yorkshire for the night of the 2nd February 2022 so we could "deliver" our grandaughter for a medical proceedure in Welbeck Street and then picking her back up the following day for the combined return journey of 360 miles.
We saw The Royal Foundation of St. Katherine advertised on bookings.com as a B&B with breakfast included and it was conveniant distance-wise and easily accessible by car, with the very importand added bonus of "on site parking."
The pricing of the rooms is a fantastic selling point and the "reviews" that we read were nothing but glowing praise.
On arrival the young gentleman at reception was open, friendly and extremely helpful expaining all the facilities available for guests.
The room we had, N°10, on the first floor was accessable by a lift, very importand due to both my wife and I being disabled and was perfect for our needs with an ensuite and we were able to "refresh" after our long drive.
The bed was extremely comfortable and we both had a long and peaceful sleep with a total absence of "traffic noise."
St. Kathrines is, as I was pleased to tell reception on our vacating, an absolutely wonderful "oasis of calm" and we will endevour, on future trips to the Metropolis stay again, hopefully for longer and I have no reservation on recommending to friends and relatives the absolute need to consider using this historic free from disturbance, pleasant, calm and tranquil "retreat".
Many thanks and we hope we have the pleasure of staying at St. Katherines again soon.

I really love this hotel, everything about it is peaceful and I can't wait to come back. FRURT cafe is amazing too. The woman at Reception was very friendly and welcoming. The only small downside was no air-conditioning in the room, but we were told this when we checked in.

King room??? Not a double bed but 2 singles pushed together. Mattresses dissimilar so you can feel a ridge. I wouldn't class a kettle as a coffee/tea maker. Not even a cafetiere in the room. Definitely not worth the extra for the king room. Would be more comfortable sleeping in the car. Disappointing, Started well. Receptionist was really helpful. Breakfast was fine. Staff and seevice is great

My partner booked this hotel for our anniversary as we wanted to stay somewhere quite central to our plans!
This hotel is honestly fantastic, the hotel itself is very spacious, located in a very safe area, fantastic facilities for car park, staff were very kind & helpful, they also give you a complimentary large bottle of water.
The room we stayed in was great, had its own bathroom, very well maintained, furniture was great, extra pillows in the wardrobe.
They’re located next to Limehouse station, so it’s perfect if you want to roam around London like we did!

Very very good!!! I am Italian, I travel a lot, usually in the hotel but this place intrigued me as soon as I saw the photos of tripadvison. Many taxis pass close to the bus stops, then there in the main road. Large private parking inside the building, spacious hall, there is a drinks area and a shop window for those who have forgotten something... all very clean, towels are changed every day, abundant and varied breakfast, the croissants are delicious, fruit, porridge, eggs, cold cuts, of everything. Behind the building is a park where you can see squirrels chasing each other. the staff is young but awake. speak various languages. in the room there is a kettle for coffee and tea. vote 10 ! super recommended!!!

Ably coordinated by Roger Preece, this is a hotel style peaceful retreat in East London. I have only visited as a music venue and to the yurt restaurant. I have to give 5 stars for the professionalism and friendliness.

. Fantastic value for money
. Clean and tidy rooms
. Wonderfully tasty continental breakfast
. Quiet and peaceful
. Secure motorcycle and car parking at no extra cost
. One minute walk to the station
. Very friendly and helpful staff
I called the hotel direct to get the best price, only paying £70 B&B for a single room. I was very impressed that I could safely park my bike in the secure car park on the property.
I would be happy to stay here again!!!!!

Appears to be a retreat for practicing Christians, I had no idea when I booked this but me being a Muslim I was welcomed.
It’s not your average hotel the place backs into St James Gardens so it’s very peaceful, the rooms were clean and look like they’ve just been refurbished. The staff were very helpful and friendly, I will definitely visit again when I’m staying in London.

Room was clean and adequate, though quite a bit dated. Dining area had an odd smell, but this disappeared with the smell of breakfast. On the positive side, this is a good place to stay in London that is lower price with parking, and has a good route into central London. On the negative, customer service was next to non existant and could use some assistance from an experienced professional.

Unusual place to stay for a regular traveller, but in a good way. Peaceful experience out of the ordinary. Standard of room is high, and large by London standards. Very close to DLR. Places for food around (didn't eat at the place itself). Possible to leave bag at place before checking in. Friendly staff. Only downside would be absence of fridge in the room, and WiFi not being entirely reliable.

Amazing hotel. Easy transport links in to central London. Hotel very clean and staff willing to help out with every request. Breakfast was fantastic. The grounds are lovely and peaceful. Definitely stay here again

The price was quite low especially considering the location.
Rooms are quite small but held tidy and clean.
Bath are modern by British standards with high pressure water supply and one hand mixing taps.
Personal was very nice and kind.
They offer free and fairly speedy WiFi without any restrictions or proxys limiting access.
Breakfast was minimalistic but not bad at all.
All in all a pleasant stay and very good value for the Price.
For 2 adults in a twin room we paid £55 per night incl. breakfast.

Lovely and relaxing venue. Catered with vegan options including vegan cookies at coffee break. Quite impressed with meeting room and facilities. No secure WiFi which made it difficult to run some secure web applications like Google Keep.

Booked this place to stay as it was last minute and needed somewhere reasonably priced for a business trip. Initially when i realised there was no tv I was a little sceptical. However, didn't miss the tv one bit, so peaceful and great place to catch up on work. The Yurt cafe next door is quirky and cute with lovely food and drinks. Would definitely recommend and I will definitely be back.

The hotel might is well maintained and quite clean. The administration is terrible, though. At the time of our arrival (11 PM) we didn't manage to get into the building as the address provided was inaccurate, the main gate was closed, and the hotel's contact number was out of service until the next day. It took us almost one hour to get to our room as we were held up at reception because one of our cards "did not work" (even though it has been accepted at lots of places across more than five different countries). I would not recommend this place to anyone who is arriving later than 8 PM, but of you check-in before that time, it is fine.

Stayed 2 nights, no complaints at all. Room was nice and clean. Friendly staff, 24hr reception and breakfast had a good buffet selection. Nice and quiet too with peaceful gardens.

Don't be put off by the nature of the place, rooms are clean, tidy and what you need. Gardens are lovely and the place feels tranquil and relaxing. The yurt cafe is great and it's just by the DLR station.

I really enjoyed my stay at RFSK, the staff were lovely. We were in a car accident on the way to the hotel and each member of staff we spoke to seemed concerned and asked if we were both okay. The accommodation was clean and over and above what was expected. The hotel even stored our luggage for us while we finished our convention so we wouldn't have to carry all our bags around which we appreciated and reduced our stress of the trip. Thank you to everyone at RFSK we had a great stay

I found the accommodation very clean and ideal for what I needed. I stayed for one night only and attended for a work conference. The food was lovely and plentiful with a good selection of food choices. The location was close to tube and transport links also.

Good accommodation if in a busy road location. But it is peaceful. No TVs in rooms so it's relaxing. Great fresh breakfast
L. A.
Good central location with Excellent tube access and access to bus routes.
Building is nice but rooms are basic with no iron and breakfast was continental only.

Yurt Café a wonderfully peaceful and welcoming place. Strong connections to the community, lots of groups and activities on offer through the week that help people get to know each other too.

We were here for one week last summer, we were to adults and to teens. We loved it, so I recommend it to anyone who will be going to London. If we're going to London again we know we will be here. And the staff was wonderful and helpful. Cheers

(Translated) The hotel is located 300 meters from the Limehouse DLR station. The room is small and basic but clean and comfortable, no TV; the bathroom and shower are in excellent condition. The buffet breakfast is impeccable, especially the bread is fabulous. Only flaw the wifi connection that worked are in the reception. We will definitely be back because it offers great value for money. Recommended

Raccomandato

(Translated) Booked and lodged from 25 to 29 July 2016. The hotel is the cleanest hotel I have ever visited in London. Here you could eat from the ground. The breakfast buffet was fabulous fresh and clean. The staff friendly and accommodating. The connection to the tube via the DLR was good. Walk to the DLR 3 minutes and the hotel is located directly on the River Thames. I can only recommend the hotel warmly.

Gebucht und logiert von 25 bis 29 Juli 2016. Das Hotel ist das sauberste Hotel was ich je in London besuchte. Hier konnte man vom Boden essen.
