Prices are low for central.Lonfon, rooms are tidy and clean, I.loved the look of them, free WiFi included and it was really good. Staff are excellent, very accommodating and always helpful, parking is the cheapest in London. Would definitely recommend.

I stayed here two nights while exploring London. I really loved the kitchenette. My room was facing the street and had two very tall windows which were great. The high ceilings also helped make the room feel larger. The bed was too hard however. The shower was barely warm and then went cold and back to warm. The WiFi is a bit too slow and unreliable for London. This is a good budget hotel if you just want a good location to explore London.

This says hostel omg it is not a hostel at all. This is a very average hotel with a kitchenette. It us clean but a bit noisy as the walls are thin and there is a very annoying sound of either their plumbing system or drainage I'm not sure but it is permanently on. Nothing to wow about but nothing to really complain about. I'm rather fussy and was able to stay 3 days so that speaks volumes. It was clean but the toilet stinks like crazy!!! Yuck. The staff told me it's a common problem generally in the hotels in this area due to some city code. They don't allow any major work be done. Beds are ok not the best but this isn't a glamorous expensive place so it is ok for what it is. Think 3.5 stars is fair enough. The guy that was on duty when I arrived was very nice and helpful.

The Royal Chulan had everything I needed for my short stay in London. My room was clean and comfortable, it even had a small kitchen area with tea and coffee making facilities, a 2 ring hob, a small sink and a fridge which was very handy. The shower room was a little on the snug side but the shower itself was excellent with gallons of hot water. The only thing which was annoyingly missing was a bedside lamp.

Had a wonderful stay at the Royale Chulan! Fantastic front desk staff, great location, and a perfect room. The room was almost spotlessly clean and so comfortable. The small kitchenette was everything I needed for a good stay in London. The WiFi could've been better, as I was on the third floor and had spotty reception but it didn't ruin my stay. As a solo traveler, I felt very safe in the location and enjoyed the proximity to two tube stations. Good food options in the area. I would gladly return to the Royale Chulan!

Great place. Obviously not a 5 star hotel but for the price i had a 5 star experience. Everything i needed was provided. The great receptionist let me book 2 rooms and let me in with only a small deposit while waiting for my family to arrive. Flexible staff and good facilities i could stay a week and be totally satisfied

The hotel was renovated, but there are still some things missing. We stayed in a family room and the bathroom had a shower with no physical division from the rest of the equipment, making it awkward to have a bath trying not to mess the rest of the bathroom. We could listen every single step from the persons above us and at the middle of the night the heater started making a huge noise out of nothing. Otherwise, the hotel has good facilities and by having a simple kitchen equipment allows us to be more independent from the breakfast schedule.

The entrance to the hotel does not have a step-free access so it was very challenging for us since we travelled with large suitcases and a pram. On the other hand there is a small lift. Air Conditioning went out on the second night. They said their was nothing they could do because they were completely booked, though we saw maybe 2 other people there during our entire stay, so that was a little shady. Some of the help there was friendly and accommodating, while a few other workers acted suspicious. They did move us to a different room the following day. The room was clean and small as you would expect a old London hotel room to be. Location is within a short walk to 2 different tube stops. The neighborhood seemed as safe as you could expect. I didn't pay much for the room, so it was decent for the money.

The hotel was okay, nothing special but for the price and location I would recommend it to others. One warning, the bed is HARD, not firm, HARD...like sleeping on the floor hard. The lady working the reception desk during the day was pleasant enough. A map of the area would have been nice. We got lost the first day when we went out to explore the area while our room was prepared. Ended up getting an area map from another hotel. Be advised, the hotel is on Leinster Square, but there's also a Leinster Terrace and a Leinster Garden in the same area.

Serves purpose but a bit depressing. Shower goes hot and cold, creaking floors, rooms quite plain. The kitchen is a standard 2 piece stove with a thin, burnt out pan. Thin windows and then a loud and stuffy central system. Location is really good and transport everywhere. Nevertheless staying in a chain with a building built post 2000 would probably feel more homely.

Good location. Within walking distance of Bayswater tube stations (circle line and district line) and Queensway (central line). Very quiet neighborhood with supermarkets, restaurants, coffee shops, exchange houses. Room very small but with very comfortable bed. Good cleanliness. The staff was friendly and quite available.

Service was pretty good and the room was nice and clean and we had everything we wanted. The mattress was very hard though. Literally no bounce at all. It didn't bother us a lot but it is something to consider. The shower head was not detachable so that was difficult to work with. The breakfast was really disappointing. There was only one little corner with not a lot to choose from: granola, milk, a variety of juices, bread and a toaster, cheese sticks, butter, some jams, nutella, yoghurt, tea and coffee and some very hard-boiled eggs to the point that the shell would only come off together with half the egg. That's it. No meat products, no fruit or vegetables. We paid for it in advance so we had to make the most of it but it was a real bummer. The wifi also didn't work great, enough for googling something or sending some texts but not for calling. We left our bags the day we arrived because we couldn't check in yet and when I got my suitcase back it was damaged. The key was also acting up regularly which made us lose some valuable vacation time. The staff was friendly and helpful in general though.

Good location, but not sure I'd stay there again The location is brilliant, close to both Bayswater and Queensway Underground stations, and walking distance from Kensington Palace, Hyde Park and Oxford Street. Lots of restaurants and supermarkets in the area. Refrigerator in the room and wifi were good. At least they allowed me to check out a little later to make up for the microwave which I didn't get On the negative side, I requested, confirmed and was promised a microwave, which I never received. I had a double room, but it barely had room to swing a cat - my suspicion is there was actually no room for the microwave. The bed was the hardest I've ever slept on, and the shower tiny. Although there's a wardrobe, it had no shelves (except to cater for a suitcase at the top), but fortunately, there was a drawer under the bed. Vile smell coming from the kitchenette sink, which was never attended to, although I reported it. Most of the staff were helpful, but I wouldn't call them friendly

I'm sorry that I can find nothing negative to say about my stay at The Royale Chulan. The beds are firm, just the way I like them (great nights sleep), no matter how much I bugged the staff with questions they were always willing to help and with a smile. I am traveling by myself and the size of the room was just right for me (I was only in it at night to sleep and give my tired legs a rest). Only about 5 min. to Notting Hill tube one way and the same to Queensway tube the other. You can get to everywhere from here. I recommend this hotel and will book again. Thanks staff for a very pleasant stay in England (now about that snow storm).

The 16m² double room gives a bit more space than most hotel rooms equivalent in London; bus #70 passes by it while the Bayswater & Queensway tube stations are within 15mins walking distance.. The breakfast room can only accomodate 8 pax at a time so you need to pre-schedule yr brekkie time..

The room is small but has everything and is clean. Only the curtains do not cover every window (they do not go down to the floor and are a bit narrow), which made me a little apprehensive as I was on the first floor. Stay if you need to pay less, do not mind simplicity and want to have a good location, as you can walk to some sights through Kensington Gardens and also stroll through the Nothing Hill neighborhood.
