J. F.Good location for our requirements, set in a fairly quiet road but plenty going on within a short walk. The staff were excellent and the whole hotel was very well presented and modern. Room was well furnished with a very comfortable bed and a large TV. Tea and coffee making facilities which were replenished daily as we're the towels. The shower was superb - almost too powerful! We did find the bathroom a bit small which would be annoying if you were staying for a few days and the extractor fan was ridiculously noisy for some reason but other than that we really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to return.

V. B.Going to start this review by saying it takes an exceptional place like this one to truly justify paying that little bit extra for a superb experience! Can't imagine staying elsewhere in London now.
Just came back from a trip to London - had stayed at about 7 different hotels in London over the years, including the Westbourne Hyde Park several years ago for one night. This time around, I remembered it being quite nice and since I was booking days before my arrival, I needed a quick fix. So out of convenience, I ended up booking my dates with the intention that I would cancel the latter half of the reservation and use the first few days to find alternative lodging for a slightly cheaper rate (this was for a 2.5 week stay).
Upon arrival, I decided I wanted to move some things around (which is too complex to explain in a google review) but ultimately, the host who greeted us (we later learned was named Christiano) was extremely patient in listening to what we needed and went completely above and beyond to accommodate us and giving us the best possible rates.
While Christiano was helping us out, we had the luxury of chatting with him a bit and getting to know him. His personality was shining and we quickly felt so welcomed by him. Every morning as we exited the hotel to embark on our adventures, we happened to catch Christiano in the lobby, and he greeted us with a beaming smile, wave, and "hello!" that wasn't just a "I work here and need to be polite to our guests" kind of greeting - but a genuine "ah I'm so happy to see you, have an amazing day" kind of greeting.
It seems like a small thing, but the genuineness in his greeting was what made us decide to ultimately stay at the Westbourne the full duration of our trip. In terms of the lodging itself, the rooms were spacious, clean, had a lovely view of classic English architecture, and was even equipped with a stovetop, dishes, and microwave (ideal for anyone staying for a while not wanting to exclusively eat out). There is a great little food shop around the corner, as well as a residential street with local eats. 3 minute walk from Lancaster Gate tube station so all of London is right in your hands!
The only complaint I have is that they didn't have the channel that showed the premier league :)
Looking forward to staying here again...and again...and again.

Staff were so friendly and polite that it made the experience very relaxed. Room had a desk, fridge, stove top, sink and microwave, making it perfectly for longer stays (or short ones where you want to keep drinks cool). The hotel was quiet, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower room was lovely and the shower was all I could have asked for, warm water with a decent amount of power. Would certainly use this hotel again on my next trip.

K. S.Stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of our European honeymoon. We tried to check in early (our flight got in at 6am) and we had to wait a few hours but by around 11:30 a room became available for us. The room itself was just okay. It seemed like it was trying to be a posh hotel, but definitely wasn't there yet. We went the entire first day without power. No one informed us that to "activate" power for our room we needed to insert a room key into a socket near the door. There was a giant stain on the carpet leading into the bathroom. Our toilet leaked. So, not awesome. That aside, the employees were always very friendly and greeted us every time we came/went. Housekeeping was great. Awesome location near a metro. Basically, great place to stay if you're looking for a reasonable priced hotel with some basic amenities in London... just don't expect it to be as nice as the photos make it look.

We had a suite which entailed having the sofa bed unfolded. And with it unfolded there was very little space. Quite cramped.
Also the separate bedroom was cramped. There was a desk which took up too much space. Beds were comfy.
Bathroom was nice and modern and had a lovely rain shower. One slight downside was that there was no-where to hang towels ! Quite an over sight.
Front desk nice and friendly and accommodating in that they worked with us for an unexpected early check-in.

Only thing was lack of breakfast availability but there are cooking facilities in room plus an excellent bakery round the corner called Laurents which is well worth a visit if you don't want to DIY! Overall, an excellent hotel though and would recommend to others.

Comfortable bed. Nespresso machine with 4 capsules for you to use. Has a "phone" in the room for you to use to navigate the city. Great location and easy access to the tube. A few minute walk to hyde park as well.

Room 512 was a bit cramped for 3 adults but then we had room 119 which was much better. The little kitchenette was really useful.

Location is perfect, quiet area within an easy walk of 2 underground stations and a great 24h bus line, lots of restaurants, and Hyde park
The included cellphone with internet and international calls is a very nice touch.
We were given a wheelchair accessible room (just what was available), which is actually a bit roomier them the standard rooms.
1 major issue: we were woken up by our rooms smoke detector falsely going off, followed by the sprinkler over the kitchenette, which spayed fire retardant all over our stuff!! We were moved into a suite with continental breakfast and a bottle of wine provided to our room, and laundry service paid for the affected clothing... But it was a very unpleasant way to wake up and ended costing us precious touring time.
m. a.I've been visiting London for the past 12 years and this my first stay in The Westbourne Hyde Park Hotel.
We arrived very early in the morning and there were no rooms yet. But around 11 o'clock they arranged an early check-in for me and my colleague for two rooms. That was so helpful as we were tired from flying for 8 hours.
The amenities and gadgets in the room were really good. The internet was very fast and stable.
The location is very convenient. Very close to Lancaster Gate Station and Paddington Station. Hyde Park is just one minute away from the hotel. Restaurants and shops are all in a walking distance from you.
My only complaint is that they don't offer a complimentary bottle of water every day. They just give you one bottle when you arrive and that's it.
Al in all, I totally enjoyed my stay and definitely will stay here again.
A. K.A very nice and friendly Hyde Park hotel in the heart of London. Very courteous and knowledgeable staff to help you. Ask them anything and they'll have a answer for you. The room i was in was nicely appointed and stocked with the necessary hot beverages, including a small expresso machine. I would have rated it higher but for the fact that there was no restaurant on the premises. A very good experience, all and all. Go there.

I've stayed in many hotels in the Paddington area over the years, but this by far the best in terms of comfort & value for money. Reception staff also derseve praise for their efficiency & professionalism at check in. Keep up the good work, this place deserves a 5 * in my opinion.
P. L.This place was almost 5 stars. Location is great, facilities are great, and the rooms were beautiful, spacious, and well equipped. But having your room be at a constant 27 degrees Celsius (I measured it) is way too hot. I asked them to have someone try and fix it three times, but it was never fixed. I then asked to be switched rooms but they weren't able to do so because they were fully booked.
K. B.The hotel is in a decent area and the staff was nice. The room was strangley set up with a separate room for the shower and a second for the toilet which were not connected. The room also had a mini kitchen area with sink, two burner electric hob and mini fridge. They don't offer room service if you're looking for it.

P.Book a triple sharing room! The sofa bed had taken up all the space that the table and window could not be access. The room and toilet was clean and modern. The standing shower was quite big but the wooden door to the toilet was so big that u have to squeeze to a corner to open or close the toilet door which could be quite annoying when two of us were sharing the toilet. I like that there is a little kitchenette and a wardrobe in a room! The staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel is near to two stations (Lancaster Gate-3mins walk and Paddington-7mins walk) which was really convenient for us! Best this is it’s also near Hyde park! We took a stroll through Hyde park and walk all the way to Natural History Museum from the hotel which was about 45mins walk! Overall, a great stay but would be better if the room and toilet was a little bigger!

C. H.Amazing location and very friendly staff! This is really the only place I will consider staying in London. It is about a 5-10 minute walk (depending on how fast you walk) from Paddington train station so if you arrive to Heathrow you can hop on the Heathrow Express to Paddington which is only a 15 minute train ride. The hotel is a 3 minute walk from Lancaster Gate underground and 5-7 minutes from Paddington underground, both of which are centrally located in the underground system and provide easy connections to other lines. There is a small market, a bakery and a few convenience stores just around the corner from the hotel, as well as several restaurants very nearby. The hotel is a 3 minute walk to Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens. Hotel provides nice amenities in room. Bed is comfortable and excellent water pressure in the shower, if that's important to you. Friendly helpful staff always ready to assist. Highly recommend!

This hotel is located within few minutes walking distance from scenic Hyde park and paddington station. Guests can reach Heathrow airport within 40 minutes taxi ride. We heard many good things about this hotel from their guests and staff members are always very helpful when a driver needs to locate a guest. They follow Covid-19 safety guidelines.

C. B.A great hotel. What seemed to be a smallish room turned out to be a mini-suite with fridge, microwave and two hot rings if you didn't fancy going out. AND, the hotel give you a free smartphone to use (including calls !!!). A three minute walk from Lancaster Gate tube station puts it in a perfect location for both Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens and is only a 20 minute walk away from Oxford Street (if shopping us your thing). I did mean to give 5 stars but I hit the wrong one !

S. B.OK so I Stayed 1 night Sat to Sunday, I was passing by the hotel and decided to give it a try because I had 1 night in London with no accommodation. The receptionist walked me between the rooms and they all brand new! . I choose one and told her I will pay now in advance if this room will be mine and she said YES. arrived that day and the room is occupied. the manager told me there is no chance that we promise rooms cause we never do it I was bit upset on it and said this is not fair and I had a hand writing prove with room number . I eventually got into my new room and it was a suite . brand new beautiful decoration very modern which I prefer over victorian\london style . enjoyed overall . wifi was working good , bed comfortable . and will come back for sure! I could give 5 easly if I wasnt having the problem at first .

M. K.Beware of thieves! Someone posing as an Italian tourist asks you the way outside of the hotel. While talking to you, suddenly there are two people who call themselves police officers, quickly show his appointment card and then you want to check the documents. The confederates were very cooperative and the checks distracted us and we all cooperated. Then ask if you smoke. The same file will be very cooperate with the cigarettes and cash, handed them to check. We thought it was weird, and we asked him if he wanted to go to the local police station to cooperate with the investigation, and they said you can go, it's dangerous. Hotel staff should remind guests above this.
