These are great hotels in interesting buildings at good prices. Rooms are compact and bijou, making great use of space. If you're sharing a room, make sure you know the person very well as there's not a lot of space, and the opaque glass walls of the shower and toilet leave little to the imagination. TV is Sky, although bizarrely you don't even get some channels that are available on Freeview; the bed is comfortable, mattress firm but nice, but the weird square "pillows" are odd, more like cushions.
Staff at this particular Z Hotel were friendly and welcoming and the hotel itself is clean and in a great location.

Room was very compact but perfect for what I needed. Thoughtfully laid out, clean, well maintained, modern. Decent TV. Only negative was that the hooks on the back of the door for hanging clothes weren't really secure enough.

Great room, great location. Not huge but perfectly functional for a couple of nights . The team onsite were brilliant and the place was amazingly clean. Only down point was the shower in the room had no pressure at all. Could be something for the team too look into.

Really pleasant experience hidden in the heart of Fleet Street. As soon as you walk in theres a beautiful zesty scent that hits creating a sense of warmth, for me personally. I was on a budget trip and our room, a basic one, had elements luxury worth more than what we paid for and anticipated. Great for couples. The bar tender was really friendly and gave us some freebies which was nice!

Nice hotel built into the old Temple Bar House. Extremely clean and well run. The breakfast for £5 is a bacon roll/croissant/scone and tea/coffee, a nice reasonable touch. My only downside is some rooms are windowless, but well ventilated nonetheless. Excellent location, with the Temple Church directly behind.

2 pluses. Location and price. Small rooms OK.
Negatives. Heating ac doesn't work well. Always a breeze blowing around. Try and get an above floor room the basement ones are ridiculously placed. Beds are big enough but as hard as sleeping on wet sand. The bathrooms are well designed but too small and the frosted glass is ridiculous
D. S.
Very small rooms but great location. Place to drop at the end of a long day and leave in the morning, but not longer. Great feature to extend check-out time for a reasonable charge

I stay here whenever I am in London. This trip had disaster written all over it due to virus, cancellations etc, and I ended up arriving at least four hours too early for check in. No problem - a room was found and I was able to settle and calm down after all of the hassles. The place is straightforward. You get a small but decently equipped room, a big comfortable bed, a big TV and a decent shower and toilet. It's spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly and helpful, You are conveniently located for the City, Covent Garden and the Courts of Justice and legal district. And they do a damned good bacon roll and coffee for a fiver at breakfast. Bravo and I will keep coming back !

Great for what it is. Newer and well maintained. Very clean. Rooms are not tiny but microscopic. Bed was firm, but soft pillows and high quality sheets.. Tea kettle in room. I like the firm prices as all websites quote the same price, so you can just book directly. Fixed fees for late checkout.

I stayed here for a night over the weekend.
When I booked I was so curious how a Hotel could be rated 4 Star but as such a price.
It was when I entered my room that I understood.
My gosh, the rooms are small but the quality is 5 stars.
Even though they are small the bathroom and shower are big.
On the bathroom they are super modern, someone went to alot of trouble and cost to design and build them.
Has the best shower I've ever had in any hotel!
The TV had the full Sky package with plenty of channels.
I will be back for sure, that was an amazing stay!
J. A.
Rooms are quite small and it's ok for a night or 2 for what they are. The bed are like sleeping on the floor. Have to be the worst beds I've experienced. If you get the lower floors there isn't any signal down there and the TVs does not even work. Try upgrade to the rooms with window if you can. Showers are quite small but for what you pay its ok.
R. K.
my room was small. meant for two people with a large king sized bed but no place to put two people's luggage
M. L.
Really helpful member of staff on the front desk. Thuy was brilliant and very helpful with all my queries. The kind of service that would make you want to return to Fleet Street. Thank you
D. H.
Very clean and modern (almost space ship feel). The room was small but all I needed as I wasn't visiting London to stay in my hotel room.

For the price, I enjoyed my stay at the Z hotel city. The room was clean, the shower was new, there were plenty of towels and no noise.
There was a green safety light in my room that was certainly too bright, and the AC wouldn’t go below 18C, but I will be booking a windowed room and bringing blu tac the next time I come.
Overall my stay was pleasant for the price I paid.

For the money Nd location to theatreland brill. No frills but very clean, modern with lovely bedding.
H. F.
Tiny rooms, friendly staff. Location is exceptional. They wont clean your room during your stay though

Cute comfortable room with nice shower and large television! Great price!

Very disappointing.
Arrived to find that hotel had booked our room twice... a "computer glitch" apparently. If you believe that, you'll believe anything. We were downgraded...and even offered a room without enough beds!!
Air con was rubbish... and windows didn't open... it was stifling hot all night. It was only about 20c outside, I'm glad I didn't stay in August!!
I highly recommend staying ANYWHERE else.

I am here because my daughter has taken ill. You advertise "Of course, the health, safety and wellbeing of our guests and teams has always been our priority.' Not so. Her fiancé booked me into a queen room with window and desk. When arrived I found no desk a window the size of a medieval Balistreri. I went to the arrival desk and was told there were no other rooms and I could be moved on Wednesday. I have claustrophobia, which I explained, but after it being after 10 pm plus 28 hours of travel, I wasn't in a position to argue or search for a new room. After a terrible night, I packed up, came to the desk (I am a journalist), and was informed by Valentina that the balance of my deposit could not be refunded. She relied on my having looked at the pictures of your rooms - you don't actually show the whole room
I like your concept - sort of of youth hostels for adults, but incomplete advertising, no concern for my physicals wellness, no concern for your clients satisfaction, I do wish you progress in what will be an uphill grind.

One of the best hotels ive stayed in! For the price, quality, customer service and standards. Brilliant team and great customer service. Rooms are compact and very well designed, huge tv with access to all sky channels. Well done to you guys
E. M.
Very nice and spacious room in London city centre, totally affordable. I have called twice the hotel for information and they have always been very helpful. It was not a problem to add a small bed in a double bedroom at no extra price. Also disable friendly. Room is modern, the toilet big A very good stay
S. L.
The AC didn't work properly, it would stop working show an error message. I had to reset it 5 times in the night. At one point the room temperature was 36C, with no window to open.
J. W.
Tiny but brilliant and comfortable rooms. Nice location and a good price.
L. F.
Cannot rate this hotel highly enough. Ignore any negative reviews. Yes, the rooms are small but it still has everything in it. We stayed in a queens room with windows and had a very large television with access to youtube and many channels. There was a desk, a hair dryer, a kettle, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Large windows, a great shower, all very modern. There was standard toiletries, as well as a few cotton pads and cotton buds, soap, shampoo and body wash. Staff are fantastic, couldn't have asked for better service from them. All very friendly and seem to genuinely enjoy their job. Very hard working. They arranged a small Valentines package for us, which we greatly appreciated. Probably the best hotel I've stayed in. Would plan another trip to London, just to stay in this hotel. Couldn't believe how nice it was, especially considering how cheap it was. Great location too! Loved it.
A. S.
Good hotel. New bedrooms and very well located. 100% recommended
G. P.
Loved the value for money and amazed by cleanliness and attentive staff would recommend this hotel near to all theatres and walking distance of the Thames
A. G.
Stayed in one of the double bunk bed family rooms. To say it was small is an understatement; the room is tiny. There is zero space to keep any luggage or unpack. Luckily we only had small bags, so we could keep them on beds, but if you had suitcases, you'd be stuffed! Having said that, it was clean and comfortable.
We went during Covid-19, so there was no breakfast, so can't comment on that. As there was no breakfast, the room rate was reduced, and we couldn't have afforded this if it had been normal rates.
Great location, but would not stay again.
M. F.
Four star service, two start amenities. Friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are clean and updated, but small and lacking in basic amenities. There are no closets or wardrobes to unpack to. The toilet is in the same room as the bed and partitioned by frosted glass. This hotel would be great for a night's stay, but is less than ideal for an extended stay. The complimentary wine and cheese is a great value.
R. R.
Very high quality rooms and showers, rooms without windows are in some cases better here in my opinion as they are better layouts and slightly more space when buying a budget room. My last visit I had one with a window and the room was a very good layout and size, so it seems each room is completely different to eachother. Very covid compliant and friendly staff.
S. R.
Great location, clean and beautiful entrance. Detailed instructions came before checking in, where to go, how to get into the room itself (the administrator is not there), the order of departure.
The room is amazingly clean, albeit small - there is everything you need. I was greeted with a set of towels and disposable products in the bathroom - a nice bonus. Carefully prepared fumigator)
I liked it very much, the price is more than acceptable, and comfort is on the level! Thank you, I will come again!
B. H.
Perfect location, comfy bed and clean room. All you need for a city break. Great value for money
T. F.
A good hotel in a good location but could be better. We were in a basement room with no windows. This was fine as we don’t spend all day in the hotel but with the air con centrally controlled there wasn’t any way of cooking the room down and it was far too hot!
The corridor in the basement smelt of sewage despite the abundance of plug in air fresheners. A very clean room but not very big. There were no wardrobes or drawers. Instead you had to hang your belongings on the wall or live out of the suitcase. The staff weren’t particularly friendly, but check in was efficient if somewhat uninformative.
A.
Great hotel, really enjoyed our stay there, nice modern and most importantly very clean. Will definitely return to this hotel next time I’m in London later in the year😊

My husband and I stayed in Room #217.
Overall a wonderful stay.
A small room yet offered pretty much what we what we needed on our short stay.
Bed was comfy, bathroom was clean, liked the wall hanging for clothes, under the bed luggage storage and large TV which could easily be moved.
Some dead space in our room could be used for more luggage storage, a area to hang your clothes and or the desk by the bed could have been placed their.
In the sense of sustainability, it would be best if you offer toiletries on request to guests or have a soap and body wash dispensers wall mounted by basin and in shower. My husband and I brought our own so we didn't use yours.
The water pressure in the room was great when it worked, at times it would be really slow or come out really fast, we did report this and it seemed to be fixed for a little while yet came back on the morning we checked out.
The staff have been great, friendly and helpful.
Your cheese and wine evenings are lovely and enjoyed them very much.
N. P.
Definitely a bargain hotel and you get what you pay for in size and amenities but it is still decent quality. It is really perfect for a single traveler as two people will be cramped. The rooms are small and there is no desk or closet or dresser. The en suite bathroom is only separated from the room by a sliding glass pane so there would not be much privacy. I did experience some power and water issues but it sounds like it was a city problem and the hotel nicely refunded me one night to apologize for the problems which was a nice touch. Location is awesome. Comfy bed. If you're just going to be out and about sightseeing all day anyway and just need a place to sleep this place should suit you nicely.
S. G.
Great location and friendly staff.
The rooms however are extraordinarily small. The floor area in a double room is 1 metre x 60cm!
The bathroom is part of the room via a glass wall with absolutely no sound or physical separation/privacy for using the toilet. There is a 3cm gap in the glass sliding door.
j. w.
When I entered the room, I couldn't really figure or how to fit myself there, it's really tiny, and basically you jump to the bed from the door. But! Location is great, bedsheets are clean, shower is nice (though also not super spacey), people at reception are super kind, they organise lovely vine and cheese tasting in the afternoon. Price vs quality and location make your impresdion as positive, I would recommend this place if you just need a place to sleep
T. K.
Loved it, check in was quick and informative. The room was small, clean and perfect for our overnight stay, staff are friendly and efficient. We slept well, mattress is good and firm, blackout blinds are amazing. Location is excellent. We will be going back.
D. W.
Very nice rooms, very nice view, great services. I requested a little surprised for my girlfriend and it turned out brilliant! They upgraded our room into a bigger room without an extra charge, without myself knowing it. We were very happy and very satisfied with what they've offered us. We would definitely stay the night again if we have a chance. Ones of the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Definitely recommend it!
J. P.
Do upgrade to a room with a window as it is so worth it. Excellent value for money and everything you need in a hotel room.
R. F.
Fantastic hotel, hoist in the bedroom so fantastic for wheelchair users. Spotless. Comfy bed warm duvet - conveniently located. What's not to love and if that's nit enough complimentary wine, cheese and accoutrements for residents between 5 and 8pm!!! Thoroughly recommend it and will stay here again 10/10
D. P.
Modern hotel centrally located within easy walking distance of the West End. By London standards it is good value for money but bear in mind that the rooms are very compact and understandably ‘one can’t swing a cat’. The shower/toilet within the room has glass walls which although slightly frosted, as regards privacy leave little to the imagination both in sound and visuals. Speaking specifically about room 111 the intermittent plumbing sound of water dripping might prove an irritation to some.
On a positive note the complimentary wine & cheese served early evening is a game changer and wipes clean most of the above mentioned minor annoyances.
T.
Great location, lovely staff. Room was lovely and clean.
C. B.
The wheelchair accessible rooms are very accessible. Some of the rooms have ceiling mount track systems. The showers have comfortable fold down seats, and grab bars are well placed around the bathroom. The hotel is in a good location, but the rooms are tiny and very expensive (welcome to London).
The walkways/sidewalks in the area are very bumpy, with inconsistent curb heights. It's very uncomfortable.
B. C.
Good location, very friendly staff. Nice surprise: wine and cheese buffet in the bar downstairs included. The room was small, very small, but with a good aircondioning and a lovely bed. One point of attention: a semi transparent glass wall between the bathroom and the sleeping part of the room is almost next to the bed. A bit more privacy around a toilet would be nice.
H. C.
Nice clean hotel in great location (Fleet St). Room was small but well laid out. Complementry cheese and wine each evening which was great. Nice staff. Only problem was frosted glass sliding bathroom doors. Not the most private.
S.
This hotel was really fresh. Everything was what you would expect. the staff were helpful and there was very many of them. I liked the simple rooms and the fact that they were small wasn't really a problem, except for when you needed to pack. The complimentary cheese and wine (between 17-20) was a nice touch but I would rather have a complimentary breakfast. I also wish there was somewhere to sit, like a lobby, because the room got cramped with four people in it and the heat in the top bunk got unbearable. There was no airflow in there whatsoever and it was closed with glass all upp to the ceiling. That brought the feeling of claustrophobia and also the problem with bad air when waking up.
P. R.
It's a clean and modern place with friendly staff. The rooms are definitely very small with very little space to even leave a suitcase open. My parents and I thought we'd be able to stay here comfortably but it's been quite a challenge to adapt to the small area. I'm sure over the next few days it will be normal to us, however, for now it's a little uncomfortable. It's not a big issue since we are only here to sleep and prepare for the day as we are outside exploring most of the day.
M. W.
Positives: Clean room, comfortable bed, nice shower, well organized bathroom. Very good location walking distance from the British Museum and other places. Negatives: didn't care much about the breakfast, which was a bit on the expensive side and not memorable. No privacy at all for the bathroom -- I wouldn't recommend my double room for a couple. Room decoration and thin walls (maybe just a thin door?) made me feel like I was sleeping in an airplane or train.
J. D.
Good accommodation. Compact room ideal for a London Weekend. Very Reasonably priced for London.
E. F.
The hotel is really modern and the employees were very nice and helpful. Our hotel room was so tiny! It was the smallest room I’ve ever stayed in. Way to small for a couple. Enough for a single person. But big screen and always clean ;) and a quiet hotel!
P. M.
Absolutely great location! Rooms are small but clean and modern. We stayed with 4 in 1 room... 1st year we were surprised by the size of the room but it's actually funny. So we just keep this hotel and go back every year for our girlie trip to London.
J. G.
Myself and my two children aged 10 and 15 at the time of the trip stayed here for one night only as we were visiting Somerset House (and a few other local attractions too). Really great central location, price was reasonable and the room while very small had large beds and everything you could wish for. All three of us were very pleased with our stay!
H. L.
The room we had was certainly compact, but very well appointed. A decent shower and large fluffy towels were much enjoyed. There was a good choice of hotels drinks, and we appreciated the carafe of water. The bed was very comfortable. Excellent value for money.
J.
An excellent hotel in the perfect location for exploring London. When I booked I asked the staff to give us a nice room with a good view as this stay was a special occasion - z hotel more than delivered! The room itself was lovely - compact but with everything you need. One small niggle: not enough plugs — not a deal breaker but mildly frustrating nonetheless. Overall a fantastic place to stay when for a short trip to London.
e. l.
Best view from our room! The room was really beautiful and clean, not soo much space but perfect for a weekendtrip. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We stayed during halloween weekend and they had such nice decoration in the elevator and at the reception. And the location is also quite good, close to undergroundstation (5min to walk) and convent garden (10min to walk)
P. H.
The hotel is very clean and the staff are extremely friendly. The room we had was a tight squeeze being bunk beds. Not enough plug sockets in the room for all of our electrical devices 😫. Tea / coffee facilities good though.
J. S.
Just had a five day stay here a Z Hotel. Amazing hotel with outstanding staff, nothing better than friendly greetings when u arrive and each time u go in or out. Bed and towels changed everyday and room cleaned. Great breakfast and a very good free Wine and Cheese evening. Thank you all very much for making this stay so wonderful. We will be back.
S.
The rooms are very small, and if you're sharing you have to know (or want to get to know) your sharer really well. But if you accept the deliberate limitations (and realise that's why the price is so low) then it's perfect. Comfy bed, good shower, fluffy towels, great location, cheerful staff, bus stop right outside: all you need for a city visit lasting a day or two. Oh, and the free cheese and wine is excellent too.
R. O.
It was a lovely little hotel, the rooms are a bit cramped but clean and have everything you need for an overnight stay. The hotel offer complementary cheese and wine from 5pm until 8pm which we thought was amazing. We would happily stay here again.
B. H.
The Queen size room is a lot smaller than you would expect.. Not sure what the smaller room is like?! It's really clean, and the room has a massive TV with all the sports and movies channels. It's perfect for a night or two as a solo traveller. I would t necessarily pick this hotel when staying with my wife as there isn't really much room for two people to stand up
P. B.
I stay here regularly, it’s very convenient, clean with very helpful staff. Although all the rooms are small even by London standards, they are very well thought out comfortable and have everything that you need. Some of the rooms even have nice views, If they have windows of course!
T. S.
Myself and my partner booked to stay here 4 nights due to covid our travel plans were cancelled, every other hotel has provided me a full refund on non refundable rooms except for The Z hotel only offering a credit. This is extremely disappointing as we for certain know we will be unable to use this credit. I will now avoid at all costs there hotels for any future travel.
I. W.
The double room is like a box so I upgraded to queen. It’s an alright hotel, good location. The floors are wood, which was a surprise.
L. V.
Great hotel. Concept is unusual with small functional rooms. great staff. Full sky package in all rooms and between 5 and 8 pm the give out a free glass of wine (great quality) and artisan cheese, olives and hummus...
A.
If I ever come back to London I would stay in this hotel again! When we arrived, they saw that my boyfriend was in a wheelchair. And without even asking they upgraded our room to a bigger one! We didn't have to pay for it. The rooms are not big, but they are beautiful, clean and modern. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Great service guys!
T. G.
The Z hotels are a great value way to stay in the City. I have also stayed in their Liverpool and Glasgow locations and the brand is consistent.
Yes the rooms are small, but that’s all you need when the room simply acts as your base. The Sky Sports and Sky Movies are nice additions.
T. B.
Service was good, bathroom situation was strange - non-lockable bathroom doors... Room just separated trough a sliding glass door that was semi transparent. You can hear everything.
Food was good, bus stop in front of the hotel. 5 minutes to center
J. S.
Super compact room, yet good sized shower. We had the room with a queen bed. It's great if you spend all day our and just use the room for sleeping and washing up. Attached cafe has good breakfast. Central location, about10-15 min from several theaters.maybe 10 min walk to nearest Tube station. A good choice for the london theater goer
J. C.
I stayed at this hotel a few weeks after it opened in January and I was very impressed by the exceptionally friendly helpful staff. The hotel is well situated, and, unlike I expected from the photo, there was no traffic noise (I faced onto a courtyard) because of the the thick windows (triple glazed?). The rooms are very well designed and the shower room was great. However unfortunately there was a lot of interior noise from the room's air conditioner/ heater which squeaked and grated -- the noise penetrated thick ear plugs. It was January and cold out, so if I turned the whole thing off I got very cold. It was very tricky reaching the staff to communicate about this as I was on the third floor and the lift didn't work (teething problems), and there was no phone in the room to call reception. But the staff were very keen to help and did their utmost best to address the situation. At the end of my stay I found the manager dealt with the issues most satisfactorily. They said that they would have the manufacturer sort out the new machines on that floor which was newly opened. Without these problems, it would have been a very comfortable stay and I would have given it more stars. The staff were fantastic. The hotel also has a very nice, relaxed bar/restaurant which is worth using.
J. P.
We stayed here for 2 nights. The room was clean but they had put duck feathered pillows in there despite me requesting for them not to do so, but they did, however change them when this was brought to their attention so top marks for that. Cheese and wine evening is a great idea and there’s a great selection of things to chose from - however may I suggest you cover up the cheese with plastic domes or something? As I saw a fly happily landing on all the cheeses.
I found the bed to be quite hard for my liking, but that’s personal preference I suppose.
Would have been nice if they had told us in advance about the construction work near the rear of the hotel as this woke us up early each morning.
All in all good value for London :)
M. W. (.
Great place to stay the night if you don't mind about the small rooms. I booked a room with no windows and it was fine (as long as you only sleep and shower). I would recommend for cheap stay in London, in the middle of Fleet Street.
R. B.
The rooms are very compact and, for my needs, lack a mini fridge. Otherwise they are good rooms. Good tea/coffee, good washroom and shower and a very good location for working in Holborn area. Breakfast wasn't included so can't comment on that
G. A.
Excellent. Good value, friendly, clean and tidy
M. K.
Lovley little hotel very reasonably priced for. It's location, with complimentary cheese and wine from 5-8 I believe. Small rooms but, the space it optimised completely. We had a double bed with a big TV fitted on the wall. A very smartly fitted bathroom space with a toilet and wonderful shower. One thing I would say if remember to close the curtains as the room we had we could see directly into another and vice versa. Still would recommend.
P. R.
Be very careful booking rooms in advance at this hotel. Should you have to change plans (due to extraordinary circumstances--medical reasons) and cancel, you lose everything you've charged. FOLLOW UP: After further consideration, the operations manager of Z Hotels has offered to provide recompense given our exceptional situation. We appreciate the sensitivity and understanding.
A. J.
First impressions are a modern (almost) pod style room. The staff are polite and give a warm welcome . As long as you are happy climbing over your other half to get out of bed, it's a good deal. Photos are a good representation of what you get.
A. S.
Aircon broken again. . Read past reviews. It never works. Lol
Also!
Corby kettle pod tray had to be moved to be plugged in, balancing act..... Weird......

My wife and I had a lovely one night stay at The Z. The staff were friendly and greeted us warmly at the reception upon our arrival.
The Z has a contemporary boutique feel and is well located. The rooms are VERY small, but they are clean and modern. In case this isn't clear, some rooms do not have windows, so be warned.
R. Z.
Pros:
- Trendy decor. Great location. Cheese and wine is nice.
Cons:
- "Family Room" is SO small. We couldn't open suitcases with anyone else in the room because it took up ALL of the floor space. The photos showing size are very deceiving.
- There is a thermostat in the room, but it is locked at whatever temp. they set making it UNBEARABLY hot in the glass enclosed top-bunk. Also, the windows in the room were obstructed by the glass walls of the beds and the bathroom therefore providing zero airflow.
- The frosted glass bathroom is a joke for privacy. You can see and hear EVERYTHING.
- One of the 2 outlets in the whole room didn't work.
- The tv on the top bunk didn't work.
- Very concerning orange/red stain on one of the comforters.
- We stayed two nights and housekeeping let themselves in both mornings despite the "Do Not Disturb" sign. One of the mornings, walked in while one of us was changing and the other was completely naked in the basically see-thru bathroom.
q.
air conditioning was not working in the room, the room was stuffy and muggy. In addition, the service and hotel ok
A. A.
The room was, although small, extremely comfortable! Got our own television, which was convenient, since we could watch the Game of Thrones Season 7 premiere live (until the regular Sky Atlantic adverts...) The hotel as a whole is fairly hidden, but staff were great, and after a bit of bargaining, gave us free checkout until 1pm (checkout is usually 11am). Room had complementary tea/coffee/hot chocolate/jug of water. Who wouldn't want a cuppa hot chocolate with Game of Thrones?
P. J.
Decent hotel with the facilities you'd expect however without some I would think are standard. For instance a phone to call reception instead of having to walk there eveytime. Also the rooms are quite small, our bathroom glass door slider got stuck so we couldn't use the bathroom for a while. Still enjoyed our time and reasonably well priced.
D. B.
Very small rooms, no view apart from inner grotty courtyard overlooking offices. If Fleet Street is where you want to stay then great but there are better places to stay more central. The room I had was very upmarket with 55" TV and a wet room but and this is a big but when u can't even walk around the bed that tells u how small the room is. Great if your staying the one night or just using it as a Base I suppose.
S. W.
Clean modern rooms, plenty of space for me and my partner and they also offered amazing extras such as sky TV, dimmable lights and courtesy coffee and tea at the bedside, the service was friendly and 24/7 . The only downside was our room was located right next to the reception and cafe so we could hear a bit of talking and walking but i wouldn't let that ruin my overall opinion. We are definitely coming here again on our next visit! :)
W. Z.
If you get basic interior room be prepared for very, very small room with no window. However rooms clean and modern with nice shower facilities. Great location. Free cheese and wine in the afternoon, which is always a bonus.
P.
The place is very cozy, the staff is very nice and the room is clean and warm. The breakfast next to it its decent. If you are looking for a cozy and cheap place, I 100% recommend this place or other Z hotels
B. P.
Nice Hotel with Good rooms, the Bathroom is pretty tiny but it works, watch out for the shower! It was almost boiling at every tempature. Nice breakfast with many options. Between 5-7 the Hotel offers free wine and cheese to all it Guests!
B. K.
Only stayed for 1 night. Rooms are great. Just enough space for 2 people. Showers could do with being rearranged, as there is a bit of wasted space between shower cubicle and one of the walls. Tv is tad too big for the distance between the wall it's on and the bed.
I would definitely use "Z" hotels in the future.
J. M.
Stayed in 601. A small but perfectly usable room. Good shower. Confortable bed. WiFi is boosted through connecting to the television. Good speed. The smart apps on the television were unreliable however. The complimentary cheese, wine, and ice cream were yummy. An excellent value stay in a great location. And lovely staff.
S. J.
Small room but incredibly clean and good facilities. I liked the stay here because is in the town centre and we had everything we need in our room, comfortable bed, big tv and cleanliness.

I spent a Sunday night. The room was absolutely freezing throughout the night. I was so frozen I didn't even bother going downstairs to complain. The thermostat was locked so the temperature could not be raised.
The free nibbles that is provided between 5-8pm was finished when we got down about 7pm and not topped up.
The room is small as expected and clean to a good standard.
At checkout I commented on the room temperature and this was completely ignored. I also heard someone else mention it at check out and was not even issued a basic "sorry about that".
I will never return here.
I have heard the shordich hotel is much better.
D. F.
Most of the reviewers mention that the room is small. What they don't say is that it is so small that only two people can stand in the room at a time. Two people can't be in the bathroom at the same time. I had to stand in the shower while brushing my teeth so my husband could use the toilet. Only one person can be in the floor space when opening a suitcase. There is absolutely no storage in the room - no shelves, closet, or drawers. They walled in the shower and bed, so that you can't even get to the window sill. We put our clothes on the floor in baggies. We stored our luggage in the hotel's luggage room, which was packed full of luggage from other guests. I heard other customers complain to the front desk about the size of the room. I have been to London, Paris, and Italy in the past and understand that hotel rooms in Europe are small, but this was ridiculous. Yes the room was clean, but there are much better hotels in London for a similar price. The location was average. Most of the places we visited took 30 minutes to walk there.
C. S.
Value for money. Centrally located and you can go anywhere easily from there
A. T.
Cute hotel. Tiny room but nevertheless pleasant enough. Staff are really pleasant and helpful. Free cheese and wine from 5pm to 8pm was the icing on the cake. I will definitely stay there again.
B. S.
Great location, design, price and staff. The rooms are small but cozy and extremely clean. The tradeoffs I would say that the hotel is fairly noisy, not because of the people but because everything cracks and squeaks (I blame the plumbing and the air conditioning) and also it's a bit cold.
A. C.
Nice hotel. Very small rooms but comfortable for a short stay. Complimentary wine and cheese is a good value and nice touch. All clean and comfortable, nice bathroom, friendly staff.
R. A.
Compact room but everything you need for a budget overnight stay in the centre of town. Temple Underground station is around 10 mins walk away.
G. K.
Very good value for money around the area. 10 minutes walk from Covent Garden. Good pubs around. Service is great, friendly staff. Clean rooms. Rooms might be a bit small, make sure it fits your requirements.
J. B.
Super friendly staff and very good location. Rooms are smaller than expected but enough if you are on a city trip and just want to have a good night's sleep.
D. D.
What a lovely surprise this little gem is. Immaculately clean pleasant freindly staff, and just a cheerful relaxed feeling. The rooms are small but have everything you could desire...even a 55 inch tv over the bed and free wifi. Did i mention the free cheese and wine!! Definitely i would stay here again. It is ideal for any show near Covent Garden too. Seriously...give this place a try, you will be glad you did. Afnes was my favourite member of staff, but all of the staff are lovely too
T. M.
Good enough for 2 nights (for young people)
Small but is in the center
V. _.
The windowless double room was like a coffin. Swelteringly hot and stuffy throughout the night. Ineffective aircon meant we ended up leaving the door open for half of it. Z might seem like a good value option at first glance but if you can’t get a decent kip it becomes a false economy very quickly.
K. S.
Easy to find, great location, and wepcoming staff. The rooms were cozy but comfortable. We got a good night's rest after ordering in via deliveroo (great selection of places). The only complain would be the TV, it kept losing connection and the shows would stop. But as a hotel it ticks all the boxes.
S. L.
Friendly and polite staff. Love the decor and how the room was so spacious, clean and welcoming. Within walking distance to Lyceum theatre so really handy for us. Would definitely stay again.
J. D.
Only stayed one night, the room was a little small but we could watch sky TV and I loved the free cheese and wine between 5-8. The location was good. Overall good stay.
P. W.
Location on Fleet Street is excellent . Most of London's attractions are within walking distance. Rooms are clean and well-appointed, but ridiculously small. Hotel doesn't have a room cancellation policy which was restrictive. Free wine, cheese and nibbles for guests was a big plus!
G. K.
If you like small cosy spaces, then this hotel might be for you. Small meaning extremely small - not for claustrophobes. I personally like the small optimised design, rooms are clean, bedding is quite comfortable, and location is really quite convenient.
M. P.
Z Hotel was a good find. Everything in the area was expensive and Z Hotel was reasonable as.long as you are ok with paying up front with no refunds. It's a short walk from the underground. The rooms were small, but very clean and lots of nice cubbies and hooks to hide things away. Overall a nice stay.
C. W.
Upon arrival we had a warm and friendly welcoming by members of staff who were very accommodating and helpful. Our room despite being small and windowless was spotless, extremely comfortable, modern, equipped with fantastic services such as a flat screen television which had Sky and internet access. The room was cleaned each day and we were left with fresh towels and coffee/tea/hot chocolate each morning. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were soft and fresh. Each night we were offered free cheese and wine and there was also access to free internet. Situated on Fleet Street the hotel is merely a stones throw away from Covent Garden and only half an hour from Liverpool Street Station - myself and my partner walked everywhere. I will definitely stay at this hotel again, 5 star experience at a 3 star price. It was beyond perfect for a weekend away.
T. L.
After 25 years I stay now again in London. Must say for my trip to this city it's very good hotel with wonderful services and really kindly stuff. They have all what someone really needs for just staying for sleep some smart TV also for good breakfast and dinner time.
S. H.
nice hotel, compact rooms for a short business stay, good value for money, very clean and very modern.
D. L.
Great location and friendly staff. ultra clean rooms. people say they are on the small side, but they are very modern and good looking. and when your in london... who wants to spend all their time in a hotel?
W. A.
The Z-Hotel is located halfway between many major attractions, and only a couple of blocks away from dining and thatre districts. The rooms despite reminding me of a college dorm in size, is very modern and has all the amenities you would expect. The service has been hands down, one of the best I've had so far on all my international journeys. I highly recommend!
E. X. (.
Compact, quiet and clean hotel near the old bailey.
N. V.
Lovely new, modern and clean hotel! Massive TV with Sky! Comfy bed! Complimentary cheese and wine too! I hope it will stay like that. Staff is very friendly too. I enjoyed it!
T. M. L.
The people that work there were more than helpful and kind to us. The location is the best! The only problem is that the room we booked for 4 people could only fit properly just two. Something that is not visible on the pics.
J. L.
Small rooms but very clean! The breakfast buffet is amazing . And the burger special is pretty convenient when you've come back from a night out 😊. Also friendly staff and lastly the cheese and wine is amazing !!!!
E. O.
The room was extremely small, the photos on the webtise were missleading. Luckly I am not a heavy setting person or I wouldn't be able to move inside the room. Maybe they are trying to recreate the Harry Potter experience of when he lived under the stairs.
A. K.
Room was small but very clean, great location, lovely and professional staff. They had free cheese and wine in the evenings which was great.
A. L.
Terrible experience! Not only because the fact that the rooms are a joke (super tiny), but also because WE HAVE BEEN STOLEN (literally). Somebody of their clean staff stole money from our bags during our stay there. We notified to the staff about this and they say "that never happened before" so... they didn't believe us. It's up to you stay here, in a micro room to loose (literally) your belongings.
J. F.
For the price you didnt really expect the ritz but the bed was nice and comfy a big tv with the full sky package. Yes it was a small room and bathroom could have been more discreet but for what you paid it was above and beyond.
C. L.
Spectacular stay for price and location. Very clean and an awesome escape after going 1 for 3 on AIRBNBs on my family's trip. Our last place was a disgusting disaster and this was available and very comfy. No windows in our room in particular which we chose to keep price down, just beware in case that's an issue.
N. S.
Fantastic service! Rooms are small but very clean and modern with everytbing you need. Staff were extremely welcoming and helped us feel very welcome and comfortable. Will certainly be staying here again. And would highly reccommend!! Thank you
R. L.
Excellent service, nice warm staff, and a complimentary cheese and wine evening time snack! The rooms are small, but quite clean. And the location is excellent!
S. W.
Very good location. No free parking. Friendly reception. Easy check in process. Clean and comfortable room. Got a frere upgrade to room with window.
Rooms are tiny. No wardrobe. These are the two main gripes. Not suitable for families.
Convenient location. Two minutes walk to nearest tube. Bus stop outside the hotel.
T. F.
This is a wonderful hotel in a great location.
The price is reasonable, the rooms are well presented and the employees are lovely.
Definitely my first choice when I'm stopping over in London.
C. H.
Rooms might be a little small but that's fairly standard for a London hotel. Excellent style, nice to, looked after our bags for the entire day after we checked out, would definitely stay again
J. M.
Great hotel for the price , walking distance to many theatres
M. M.
The hotel staff were helpful and friendly, and the room, while small, was exactly what we expected. Modern and comfortable, and the location was ideal for going to the theatre (which was a 10 minute walk).
R. S.
Very good value for the price. Central location in walking distance of most places. Small and functional as well as modern rooms. Quick check in.
L. G.
The rooms were quite small but the staff and the service were the best we ever had! The place is really nice with a lot of very fancy pubs (:
W. E.
The rooms are about the size of a matchbox, not ideal for a couple! However, this is London and for the price, this is a nice hotel. I appreciate how helpful the staff is and how clean the rooms are.
S. H.
Good location, friendly staff, great price. Room a little warm despite air con. Would recommend.
S. R.
Perfect position from my office, 10 minutes walk away from St. Paul's cathedral. The welcome was friendly and upgrade offered. The rooms are small but everything you need for an overnight stay, bed, shower, TV and WiFi.
C. K.
Great location, on Fleet Street. Bedroom was small but with quality furnishings and equipment. Service was very friendly at all times. Loved the complimentary wine and cheese in the evening.
D. H.
Always pleasant time. Seeing friends and enjoying the foods. Be a pleasure coming back to the hotel very soon. Had a very enjoyable time when there.
R. R.
I really had no idea what to expect from a hotel that was offering low prices moments away from the very heart of London.
In my youth I spent years on the road and saw my fair share of "reasonably priced hotels" in far less glamorous settings.
I lived in London for over 25 years so sightseeing is a bit of a miss for me, But a bus outside puts me a very short hop to all the hotspots.
The Z was a revelation, Z cuts no corners where it matters. When it comes to comfort, customer service, and facilities its just about perfect.
Now dont expect amazing views or indeed any view and if you are thinking of sharing a room don't - at these prices you can have one each ;)
And I think that's the point - those of us that gain most from Z is we dont like paying for the frills but expect value for what we do pay.
PS Maria your manager deserves a medal when he saw I was Deaf ensured I was supplied with a Strobe and Vibrating Pillow device
Well done Z
K. S.
Despite its renovated look and modern appliances, the rooms are extremely small even for London standards. The lack of closet or even a coat rack, make this place not comfortable enough to come back to.
R. L.
Beautiful, modern, clean but small rooms. Perfect for a stay for a couple of days. Had no issues at all and the staff was very courteous.
r. l.
First time in such a compact room but the use of space is fantastic. Clean, brilliant location and the service has been first rate. Love it.
p. m.
We went on a Friday, rooms small bit cosy, great entertainment system and very clean! Friday included complementary cheese and wine! Would happily stay again
C. J.
small room. no clothing cabinet. breakfast in a noisy and crowded bar. Well adapted to young business men but less adapted to middle aged tourists needs and wishes visiting London.
D. S.
A very clean comfortable hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent both in choice and quality. Great location for central London. Would stay again.
A. H.
Totally awful experience. Paid a large amount of money for a requested room to then find out that they are putting me in their smallest room! When I asked them was this right? They then said "This is the biggest room we have in the whole hotel". I then found out once I returned home after going on the website that I was completely lied to and robbed of my money.
S. B.
air conditioning was very cold. Went down to reception to find that they control the temperature. The buffet breakfast was very basic and staff weren’t very nice.
p. m.
Great place. Small but well organized rooms. Cozy place with pleasant atmosphere.
I'm impressed by their daily free cheese and wine evenings.. 😁
C. B.
Small compact room nicely done with good shower perfect for a night in London when all you need is a place to lay your head down after a night out or like me a lte night at work with an early start.
W. C.
If you have a very small room and still pay a lot of money, you just feel not happy. Clean room, nice people - just a lot of money for a tiny, tiny room with not enough space for my height.
J. &. C.
Very nice place to stay. Clean rooms and helpful staff. You can go walking to most of the landmarks and attractions, or take any of the nearby subway stations or bus.
I. P.
Just arrived though looks neat close to the city centre, will give me details after my stay
J. J.
Nice place, very central, tiny rooms but comfortable. A bit noisy, particularly the pipes but a good option if you a in the area and want something less expensive
N. W.
Very modern hotel. Clean and perfect for that overnight stay. Not a lot of space in the room but considering the location it is well priced. Would use again
S. J.
Sleek city hotel opposite Chancery Lane. Rooms are great for one or two nights. Had a frosted glass shower/toilet in the corner of the room and a huge TV that kept losing the signal.
J. C.
Rooms are impossibly small. Managable with 1 person but add another and you have to discuss the step you will take moving around the room so not to trip on each other
B. T.
Good hotel small rooms but great value for money. Clean and very helpful staff..would return 👍👍👍
V. C.
Small room without windows and the air conditioning was out of control and we had to stay in at 27 degrees since they fixed it (at 3am). Good location.
M. G.
Great hotel. Small, but everything you need. Lovely staff & even free cheese and wine!
c. b.
Great hoteland location for an overnight stay, rooms are pod style so not much space but the price can't be beaten for the location. Free sky tv and wifi too make this a great hotel.
G. G.
Small room but very clean and modern nice staff
J. G.
Excellent room, we had a no window room and for central London it was so quiet. Comfortable and spotless.
A. B.
Really tiny rooms, but efficient use of space. I do wish that you could control the ther most at in the room. Free wine and cheese in the evening.
L. P.
Great location, friendly staff, clean rooms, but let's just say swinging a cat would have been problematic. We also selected a cheaper room without a view - and got a room with no window whatsoever...
P. W.
Bijou room, compact, but very comfortable. Excellent shower. Lots of tea /coffee etc. Free WiFi.
k. p.
Very clean, modern and tastefully decorated in an excellent central location. It s about hard to find when you first arrive but once you do you always find it again. The staff are beyond helpful and the nicest people you'll meet.
A. I.
Great rooms but i got mine without any windows so it might be a bit claustrophobic for some.

Very nice hotel, very clean and modern inside. Depending on the rooms you may not have a window which can be disturbing at the beginning.
D.
Clean functional rooms with on suite shower and usual toiletries a bar and dinning room available until 4am prices for room at inner city good food and beverages above average but worth it
R. S.
Tiny rooms with big comfort! Helpful and nice staff. Free wine and cheese under the evening ❤
P. K.
Good. Our room was small but expected that. Free wifi. Free wine and cheese. Great location
J. L.
Everything needed was provided, neat and tidy. Be wary on the room size, there is just enough room for the essentials-bed, bathroom and shover.
G. B.
Great hotel in the perfect location! Very clean and well designed rooms - its just a shame our room didn't have a window
M. R.
Great place to stay and a warm welcome! Rooms were wonderful and the free cheese and wine evenings are a blast!

Toilet ran forever. It wouldn't flush properly. Weird green light kept us up all night. It was clean but yeah hard to rest with a weird light and toilet making splashing noises all night.
R. O.

J. R. H. C.
The room is very small and ideal for 1, but it is well equipped and a great location. Do not expect wardrobe space.
J. H.
Excellent location, and good alternative for 1-2 nights in the city. Pretty compact space but clean. Friendly and helpful staff
B. J.
Great little hotel in a fantastic location! Rooms might be small by American standards, but you're not in London to see the inside of your hotel room, are you?
J. J.
Nice hotel with a friendly reception. Well placed for visiting the city. Good under ground (tube) links. Wi-Fi not working.
R. S.
Very modern hotel. Clean and perfect for that overnight stay. Not a lot of space in the room but considering the location it is well priced. Would use again

Microscopic room described as an upgrade, I'm assuming the non upgrade room involved opening the door and climbing over the bed to get to the bathroom. Nothing like the pictures on here.

(Translated) Single room for two people 🙈 Air conditioning and e.z.t.t does not work. I'm going to England for the second time and have the same problem. No matter which hotel you book for 100 euros a night or 200 euros quality the same! In Germany *** hotel better than in England *****. That's just how it is!

(Translated) Perfectly located hotel in the heart of London! By cons the room is very small, no privacy between the sleeping area and the toilet / bathroom. Some coat racks available but no wardrobe in the room. The cleanliness was not there in our room, but so we had free breakfast. Very pleasant staff

(Translated) The room is small but clean and up-to-date with big size TV which you can't expect in Europe and watch YouTube! The surroundings are good and there is a nearby King's College, so there are many large and small restaurants and takeaway sandwich shops.
(Original)

(Translated) Excellent location
The room is true that it is the minimum that can be expected but it is true that we were only going to sleep.
The best wine and cheese tasting in the afternoon.
Improved cleanliness and friendliness of reception staff.
Still 100% recommended
(Original)

(Translated) Great location, nice, clean but also small rooms. A star print due to its size. The sanitary facilities are separated from the room by a sliding glass door. You should be aware of this, as any noises and smells can also be heard in the room.
Since the location is first class, I would book the hotel again immediately for a city break.
(Original)

(Translated) The hotel is nice and the room was very small but modern. Unfortunately, we had one without a window, so you felt a bit like in a shoebox. I would not take that again. At the weekend there was the possibility for a small extra charge the breakfast buffet in the cafe of the hotel, which was really very good.

(Translated) Small but nice
We were there 5 nights. The room is small. We were able to spread 2 hand luggage suitcases on the floor. The "wet room" is also small. But everything seems well thought out and very functional.
Everything is of a very modern standard: bed, shower, TV, air conditioning. In addition, it was always cleaned and it was really clean!
Absolutely recommendable! Bus right outside the door and 5 mins to Temple tube station.

(Translated) Very good location, although the rooms are small they are very well equipped and cleanliness is exemplary. The staff is also very friendly and they offer a series of complimentary services such as wine and cheese that are a total detail.

(Translated) Great, clean rooms with a very modern decor. The bathroom consists of a glass room within the actual room. A special eye-catcher.
The hotel staff is very friendly and the location is excellent. From here you can easily reach the public transport, but it is not necessary. We were able to reach almost everything on foot from there.
(Original)

(Translated) Hotel well located to know London.
It has a bus stop right at the door, where the main connection lines stop.
The room is somewhat claustrophobic, but it is very modern and with the spaces used to the centimeter.
The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, attentive at all times.
As a curiosity, from 5 to 8 in the afternoon they offer a buffet of cheeses and wines without limit.

(Translated) Clean, modern hotel, small rooms, no windows and very little privacy in the bathroom. The door is sliding glass. Rooms in the basement, without coverage on the mobile and the wifi does not work too well. Detail of water, coffee, chocolate and infusions in the room as welcome. Plasma TV too large for the small dimensions of the room. It has no closets, but hangers. Just reception, but fine

(Translated) Alone and for one night the rooms are okay, for two I would not book. However, without windows and thus without fresh air and probably the smallest room I have ever seen. Very clean and functional, furniture and floor are new, bathroom also new and everything functional.
(Original)

(Translated) For the first use, we received a free upgrade in favor of the front desk. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel, which will take you straight to the center. I wonder if you can get around 20 pounds with Uber in London. There are many fast food shops around, such as Mac, so I don't think you'll be in trouble with a little rice. The main store of tea twining is also about 3 minutes on foot. It was a room without windows, but there was no stuffy feeling at all because the lighting seemed to have windows.
(Original)

(Translated) In the heart of London, on Fleet Street, a great and cheap hotel, yes, that exists. The Z hotel is not suitable for claustrophobic, tiny rooms without windows! I was alone, I would not like to share this room, too small. The comfortable bed, a little hard mattress for my taste. Shower and bathroom tiny but clean and modern. Super quiet my room, you can not hear anything from the street, it's like being in a cave. The young staff, of different nationalities, very friendly. Breakfast is not great but there are many cafes and bars in the area, as an alternative. This hotel is at least two or three times cheaper than other hotels in the area. I have already been 3 times and would go back.

He estado ya 3 veces y volvería.
