A. G.Scary. Floors 6,7,8 and 9 of a former council offices building. Clean & comfortable, but the windows have restricted opening to stop 'jumpers'.... and woukd prevent exit if there was a fire.

C. B.Stayed here for a few days recently. Clean room and nice, helpful staff. The only downside was a non-working air conditioner (the windows don't fully open for safety reasons, so the room got a little stuffy and hot. Given the time of year, this wasn't too problematic, but it might be an issue in August). Would def. stay again (and recommend for value and comfort).
P. R.Reasonable accommodation for the price. The bed was comfy but the pillow lumpy and really needed a pillow protector under the pillowcase - a bit mucky. The bathroom was a little dirty in the corners but otherwise ok.
B.After staying in the worst travelodge ever (Docklands) this travelodge will definitely go down as one of my favourites. Pretty good location and not too far from Brixton.
Only down side was the heating 🥵 really hot in the hotel

P. T.The service I received here gets a 10/10 from me, being on the top few floors of a partially repurposed office block makes for a nice, quiet stay in rooms with excellent views and having free onsite parking makes it truly excellent value.
As I walked into reception I was greeted with a lovely smile from the receptionist and was taken through the now sadly normal covid spiel and given my key for the weekend, I was made to feel like they truly felt that they couldn't have done enough to please me as nothing seemed to be too much trouble, when I needed an iron and board I was handed them without question.
I will be very happy to stay here again and hopefully post Covid they will be able to offer more than just a boxed breakfast!!

C. Z.The room we had was a good size but it is very basic. There's a bed, en suite, a couple of chairs, a table and a TV and that's about it. It was clean throughout though. Beware of staying during hot weather, at 26°C outside with no air conditioning and a window that only opens a couple of inches it was very, very warm. My advice would be to stay elsewhere.
J. B.Clean neat and tidy, could have done with a mat for outside the shower as the floor gets wet and you spend time keep getting your feet wet every time you go into the bathroom. Door kept closing too had to wedge open. Other than that great.

E. L.room is good size, better than expected. it is a converted office building so everything is a bit cold. reception puts a smile on at check in and check out. Parking is not an issue, beware the entrance is from the side street
K. O. R. E. X.The rooms are comfortable and spacious by modern standard, however my last stay at the place wasn't a good experience as the fire alarm went on for over 1hr. I am not joking or exaggerating. The premises is shared between different vendors so the fire alarm was coming from part of the property that wasn't under the control of the hotel. When I complained I was told there is nothing they could do about it. Overall, it is a good place for short stay if the alarm issue is ironed out.
J. C.Not too promising from the outside but our family room on the 9th floor had great views and was generously sized. Clean, comfortable, friendly reception staff, reasonably priced. Parking easy. Good pub just down the road The Goldsmiths with great food.

K. S.Room size is ok. Even if we've got 3 beds. I don't really know the reason. The room wasn't clean properly, but that's typical British quality. The staff woke me up in the middle of the night not to be that loud. Strange... I was sleeping. Than I've heard noise from somewhere else.
T.Friendly and welcoming staff. Convenient location. Spacious and clean room with a comfortable double bed, good view of the outside and a nice bathroom. Booked at short notice and excellent value for money. Stayed with a friend and we had a great time here together.
K. D.This Travelodge is very conveniently located and reasonably priced. I stayed for two nights, the inside of the hotel was quiet and there was not much traffic noise. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and tidy and close by there are plenty of places to get a bite to eat.

P. G.After a very stressful evening in my flat I booked a room at the last minute and arrived close to midnight. The concierge at reception was warm and welcoming and my room was large, beautiful, modern and very clean which was VERY much needed. Large comfortable beds and powerful showers in a clean modern ensuite. Room also had a small tv with a good selection of channels, kettle, cups and a selection of tea and coffee sachets. Heating had already been turned on so the room was lovely and warm when I arrived. I was very grateful for a warm and comfortable nights sleep in a very clean, comfortable and functional room.
E. W.It was ok for the price we paid in London, but overall state of the hotel is poor. There is no bar or lounge, so no atmosphere at all. But that's ok, we didn't want to spend time in London in hotel so we were happy to have place to sleep. Unfortunately in the morning water in the bathroom was freezing cold, so we could not take shower, the window was not sealed so room was cold and unpleasant! The bed was comfortable but that's about it... It's very dated and staff clearly don't care about customers because when we mentioned cold water in the shower lady in reception haven't even bothered to ask anything else.

They know this which is why you only get a sheet on the beds and there is a cheap desk fan to circulate the hot air around. The entrance and lift is on the left hand side of the building. Plenty of tea and coffee supplies. Only downside is lack of restaurant or bar but there is a vending machine and plenty of places in penge to get food.

S. I.Very comfortable, cozy and clean rooms. Basic amenities provided - clean and good bed linen, clean towels, kettle, TV. Early check in or late checkout are chargeable. One water bottle per day of stay can be provided.
P. C.Quirky converted office building. No lounge or bar area. No hot breakfast option. Breakfast in a box-orange juice/corn flakes/milk/muffin.
Came back today @5pm and room not cleaned or prepped. They have been busy!
Rooms have no drawers and only a small rail to hang clothes.
Pubs a short walk but area lacks restaraunts.
Quick rail links to central London.
Rooms would benefit from air con and a fridge for longer stays.
T. R.This is a converted office block with Travelodge having the top three floors. Rooms and bathrooms are smaller than most other Travelodge rooms I have seen. Lighting is dim and rather badly planned. Easy car parking and 5 minutes walk from Penge High Street. Fine for a quick stay but like the area somewhat dreary. However it is both clean and comfortable.

Me and the wife enjoyed our stay, especially because it's very close to the station you can pop into London in 20 minutes from Kent house.

J. C.Standard Travelodge, note you need your card to get throughout the whole hotel, usually to open 3 doors, and a fourth after 11 to get into the building. Staff were super friendly on our visit, and the cleaning staff did a good job 😊
J. M.First room had a horrible cigarette smell but our room was changed with no problem. The room was nothing special but in line with what one would expect from a Travelodge. Price was decent!
T. S.Everything about this place is just Ok. Converted office block, standard issue Travelodge decor. Staff friendly and competent. Free parking. Once you peel back the layers though it is not very clean. Soap in the bathrooms is grim - very odd smell! On the subject of smells, it varies throughout the building from damp to stale smoke. There isn't really anywhere close to eat, which for a Travelodge is not good news - for breakfast there are cafés around half a mile away but for dinner the Penge area is fairly limited. If prepared to drive there are good options in Crystal Palace and Beckenham.

A. R.As always, travelodge provide an adequate stay, in clean conditions at relatively less than the average cost of an overnight stay in London. For the most part, everything reaches my expectations except for the added cost of wifi. Charging extra for access to the Internet is a bit of a kick in the teeth for customers in this day and age.
