It's a no frills experience but close to excel and cheap. The room did not seem to have been hoovered in a while, but the bed and shower room were clean.
The staff are wonderful. Evening conversations whilst ordering a drink and so incredibly helpful.
I'd be happy to return just for the staff.

Arrived no one on reception the guy cooking had to come out of kitchen to book me in. The TV didn't work in my room and it took an hour to change my room. There was a big row with some guests lots of shouting. Very noisy hotel with people in the car park until 3 in the morning. Room doors are very noisy as well. Breakfast was poor with scrambled egg cold and the rest not very warm. Won't stay here again.
S. S.
Clean and comfy, parking is charged at £10 for the day for guests, not the cheapest Travelodge to stay, drinks are expensive, as most travelers do check other local hotels as some offer free parking.

Cheap and cheerful
Good location for London city airport, Excel and the Docklands.
The room was clean and so was the bathroom.
Everything worked fine and there was also tea and coffee facilities in the room.
You get what you pay for and this was good value for what it costs.
R. S.
Paulina on reception and breakfast staff were fantastic. Excellent and efficient. Only grumble, parking at £10 per day adds a significant cost to the stay.

Excellent place to live in London
It is located next to excel 2 min walking distance from the Royal Albert station on DLR line
The hotel was very clean and tidy
The rooms were clean and well set, personally the hotel was a very bad for the price I paid and is surely a great place to stay in London
J. W.
Told our rooms weren't ready- at 9.30pm?!? not what you want to hear after a full day working in the Excel centre and a meal out with colleagues and having walked our cases through the rain.
fFelt bad for the staff on the front desk as manager was hiding in the back. they offered us a family room but said we'd have to pay extra. cheek. got sorted after about an hour but the fiasco was repeated the next night with other colleagues. need to sort their staffing and get some agency in.

I had a wonderful stay here. Special shout-out to Christopher. A lovely staff member who really improved me and my gf’s time there.
g. b. (.
Good room comfy bed only annoyance was bar service was suspended for half an hour for cashing up the till at around 10.30pm on a Friday night could this not be done at a different time?

My mom came to visit for the day and the Telma de assistant manager was very friendly and went the extra miles to make sure my mom was happy with parking and her stay. The staff were very lovely and always greeted you with a smile! The room was nice an cozy an had a awesome view overlooking city airport.

Deanne made our stay at the hotel amazing experience.
from group of boys plus black tall lanky one

They obligingly changed my room to s better location. However to rooms and service have declined a bit sit since we last visited.

I recently stayed at the Travelodge London Excel and I was really impressed with the level of service that they offer. The staff were all friendly and the room smells good
j. f.
Nice clean hotel . A little noisy if your out the front due to the railway system. Fantastic Chinese restaurant across road .
F. M.
Service was great, very friendly. Would definitely come again.
Staff at the reception was great very helpful especially justice
J. S.
Very friendly staff that couldn't do enough for us. Rooms were clean and tidy. The breakfast was delicious as always.
C. W.
Stayed here for three nights staff very friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble shout out to a lovely lady Deanne We always stay here every time we come to London
A. H.
Excellent place to stay, staff very friendly and polite.

The welcome from the check in Manager was warm despite being short staff. The room was spacious, clean and had a very comfortable night. The price was affordable too and had the option of early check in which helped.
P. B.
Staff friendly but sparse. Definitely needs a makeover as the room I stayed in is tired and the double bed is tiny!!
p. l.
Very clean rooms staff pleasant and polite

Mixed feelings. The good points were that the staff were always helpful, the beds were quite comfortable, the rooms were quiet considering there's a fast road round the back and the DLR and London Airport round the front, there are great transport links and the area feels quite modern and safe. The bad points mainly involved the cleanliness and poor COVID measures. The public hand sanitisers by the lifts were empty the whole week, maybe 25% of people wore masks, the room attendants weren't wearing masks, the soap dispensers in the room was empty and the carpet was quite tired, the windows didn't shut properly as the handles were falling off and there was chewing gum stuck underneath the desk and the window ledge giving the room a unclean feel. Overall, there was nothing major putting me off the hotel and I wouldn't hesitate to return, especially for the price.

Good room.. Great staff let us get food delivered to lounge..
E. M.
Stayed here last week with my children.
It was such a pleasant stay with the staff going above and beyond for us.
The room was excellent value for money.
The service was outstanding.
Such a lovely team.

Staying here with my 14 year old for vidcon, booked a family room last year.
Arrived and checked in, went to the toilet and it doesn't flush.. Great.
After going up and down to reception, the assistant manager has a look and tells me it's broken ( I do know that?), the only other room they have is a twin room with the smallest beds possible and no towels.
The assistant manager tells me he will get the toilet fixed next day and hopefully I can have this room back ( the family room I booked and payed for)
Next day I ask and no family rooms available, oh and don't bother booking breakfast here, it was absolutely disgusting, cold uncooked bacon, powdery scrambled egg and sausages that must have been made from left over dog food, thanks travelodge this hotel makes faulty towers look like a Palace.
To balance this review, I've never had a problem with a travelodge before, I think I might just have learned my lesson this time, oh and I want my money back.
Update, they're transferring us to the other hotel about 5 minutes away
A. M.
Lovely little hotel, on site parking for £10 for 24 hrs. One of the cheapest in London. Few minutes walk to the dlr station therefore easy access into london and beyond. Friendly staff, opened breakfast for us late even though we missed the time slot. Thankyou :)
R. B. L.
Decent experience overall for an overnight stay. Clean environment, welcoming staff. Room was neat and warm as well as having extra pillows available . Shower was lush 😍👌🏾😍. Another positive stay using Travelodge hotels .
N. H.
Another Great Stay thanks to Telma always makes the guest feel very welcome. Ever so sweet and always making sure we enjoy our stay. Also very clean rooms 10/10 for housekeeping.
D. W. B.
Gorgeous hotel, extremely kind and helpful staff, perfect location! Only complaints were minimal. Love the coffee/gift shop - some of the nicest staff in the entire hotel! The pool was amazing, and even though the hot tub wasn't working the first night, it was fixed before the end of my stay and I was able to enjoy it.
T. J.
Stayed for a night for business. Cheap as chips during lock down. Very well presented and clean. Lacked character but perfect for the price. Would highly recommend for a place to kip.
M. M.
Ok Hotel this one.. only there for the night, but friendly staff and good nights sleep.
B. E.
My wife and I are booked in for 4 nights to attend the rootstech conference nearby. The accommodation is small but clean and comfortable. The food is delicious and good value. On our first morning the shower did not work and we were disappointed but the duty manager inspected it quickly and reassured us that it would be repaired urgently and it was. We were offered a complimentary breakfast. We found the staff welcoming and efficient. We would recommend this hotel without reservation.
C. B.
Room in good condition, staff helpful for a long weekend in London.
H. C.
Extremely good value. The bed is comfortable, and the room clean. All very basic which is what you would expect at this price. The noise from the corridor is not muffled at all unfortunately and the airplanes are pretty loud, but otherwise no complaints.
E. P. .. t.
I have had many a Weeks staying in Travelodge Excel . I Find All Staff Very Pleasant & Ever So Helpful & Polite . Especially Telma , Akil & the ones I forget From Management ,down to the People on the Desk & the Cleaners Who keep the Cogs turning . The Beers are on Me 🥂
J. H.
Great place to visit nice rooms and nice breakfast 👌
A. E.
Great price, great staff and clean and comfortable bed. The staff were brilliant, very humble and down to earth always willing to help and answer any questions asked
H. K.
As far as the budget hotel group go, everything was pretty much spot on as far as service, bed comfort and location goes. The room was clean but there was some hairs in the bathroom which I did not expect. The odd lumpy pillow and a TV remote which was not present. A generous 4 star rating from me but I hardly spent any time in the room. Not bad but not great. Royal Albert station just 4 mins walk.
M. M.
Typical business hotel with limited service and a very basic equipment. Bed is comfortable, but shower is worse than on a ferry cabin, the curtain sticks to you and there is not one inch spare space. No hairdryer in the room. Breakfast in line with the rest, very limited and low quality, only the eggs were decent. And expensive..
s. N.
Nice and quiet v amenable to excel
The night menu needs a bit of a change
N. X.
It was good in general, the room was clean bed was nice and comfortable bathroom was white and shining. The only problem I had was two of the plug sockets out of the 4 in the room wasn't working. Overall it was a good stay, one thumbs up👍🏼😉. Definitely will be going back.
T. P.
This hotel was a perfect stay. Staff were so friendly it felt like being home with family. Food is fantastic and we want to give a special shout out to the cleaning staff who as I was a cleaner gave a top class clean every day. Thank you so much for such a brilliant 4 days xx
Q. L.
Not that good.. cleaner come in the room and told us the room need to return by 9.30am
P. S.
Great Travelodge. A few little problems like not enough towels but soon brought some to the room, shower fell holder in bathroom broken, and bathroom getting a little tired. The main room clean, but corners dusty.
Great location for DLR, parking just £10 for 24hrs, Good breakfast.
J. M.
For the price, this is great value for money without frills attached. One of the best showers I've had, and I'm comparing this with 5 star hotels. The menu is basic but caters for all and there's a small bar with a selection to please everyone too. Two courses cost £14 and across the street there's a reasonable Chinese restaurant. About a 4 minute walk from Royal Albert, and quite close to London City... you don't hear much from the airport unless you open a window. Prices start from £39.99 which really is a bargain for the close proximity to central London. I give this a 5 as it exceeds expectations.
C.
Stayed here for the first time recently, wasn’t expecting too much for the price paid. Very pleasantly surprised the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The room was as expected basic but clean enough. Breakfast was nice and hot with a good selection, vegi sausage option appreciated. Easy check out will definitely book again great value for money.
A. M.
Fabulous travelodge. Room was lovely with floor to ceiling windows. It was exceptionally hot and so the curtains had been left shut, windows open and fan on to keep it cool for my arrival. I was very impressed. The staff were lovely too. I arrived a bit too early but i was offered a seat to wait and help myself to free juice/coffee while i waited. The only mark down is the walls in the actual bedroom were quite dirty and marked in areas. But overall this was one of the nicest travelodges I've stayed in, plus the fact it's super close to the dlr. Perfect!
B. J. S.
Bathroom was perfect drains no smell like some budget places. After a mix up in booking a second staff member helped to rectify. Breakfast so so bacon cold, eggs a queue, but well seasoned after eating watery mind. Orange far to sweet and apple juice. Tomatoes :/ All in all I would stay again, but bring my own juice.
D. C.
It was great to be able to take our dog with us for the night. Rooms are basic but clean. Friendly, helpful staff made us welcome and helped find room for my mobility scooter overnight.
A. Y.
I stayed in room 501, which was absolutely fab for the price! It had a modern finish, dimmer switch on the ceiling lights, comfortable bedding and a coffee maker, as well as ironing facilities and a hairdryer already in the room. The bathroom had a good finish to it, too. Ideal for visits to the ExCel exhibition centre, which is a 10-minute walk away.
R. M.
Good value, simple furnishings, tidy room.
N. K.
Staff are amazingly helpful - I don’t think I’ve ever felt so welcomed at a hotel in my life, they just seem genuinely happy to help you out. Standard of hotel is basic, as you’d expect, little bit tired In places but generally clean. No plugs next to the bed is a bit annoying. Very handy location for the Excel, however it’s also a very noisy location, being right next to the airport and the DLR runs alongside. No air con so no choice but open windows (as it’s also very warm in the room) which just makes noise worse. Would recommend you bring your ear plugs!
R. M.
Not the first time I have stayed.
Friendly, helpful staff (although on occasions seemed a bit stretched). Rooms are reasonably small (we had a shower room that wouldn't allow two of you in there at the same time), but to be honest, it was absolutely perfect for our needs. Would stay again.
R. B.
The price and location of this hotel are very good. But Olga the reception manager was amazingly cool. It was New Years Eve andwe got there about 15.00hr, the machines to pay in the car park were out of order and she said no worries, how long are you staying. Two nights we said, and she put us down for free parking which i was not expecting! The company has an app tp use but my company doesn't allow third party app's due to security issues so this wasn't an option. These thing leave you with a nice feeling about a company and the place in general and we had a great new years eve. Happy new year to all the team there.
R. K.
Nice hotel with bar and restaurant. Food available all day till late night. Staff very helpful and nice. Rooms clean. Parking payable £8 with discount for guests. Better have coins for machine or card for online payment. Dont use app as there is no option for discount code and £15 then.
A. T.
It was a very comfortable stay. The double bed was so comfy. I had tea and coffee that was provided. It was basic but practical and just what i needed for a short stay. The room was clean and i would stay there again. Good value for money.
S. A.
Great location and very easy to access public transport to get into the city. The car parking for 24 hours was well priced. The room wsw comfortable and had everything needed. Well priced. Breakfast was good and plentiful! I would stay again and recommend to friends / family. Staff were nice. No cause to complain for any reason.
P. R.
The room was clean and spacious, there were three of us staying in the room, 2 of us on camper beds. They were essentially a board of springs covered in cardboard, however the main bed looked quite comfortable. The food was mediocre, however when the price is taken into account this is all acceptable.
R. T.
We had come down for the London MCM comic con, I came with my friend Gizzy and booked the room through Sacha Barbato (Travel Counsellors). The staff were really friendly and accommodating (no pun intended), including allowing us to have bags in behind before we checked in, and explained everything patiently. The room was comfortable and just right for what we wanted. Also, as with any big event, having a decent breakfast really helped set us up.
As ever, if you are going to a con strongly recommend booking ahead as soon as possible. Hoping to be back next year, thanks again for looking after us!
L. G.
A great place to stay - although the rooms were very hot. The Prince Albert DLR is a 5 minute walk, which takes you directly to Tower Hill tube station (about a 20 minute journey). Perfect place to stay for a trip to London. Car parking available, but chargeable. At the time we went it was £8 for 24 hours.
R. H.
Good price for the location. Nice rooms, bathroom was on the small side but nothing to complain. 24/7 reception. 1 minute walk to royal Albert Station. About 20-30 minutes to central London. And parking also cheap 8 pound per 24h.
L. K.
Nice and clean place, close to Excel London. Breakfast is mostly okay, the staff had been kind. They also changed our room for no additional price. On the cons: unfortunately there is no wifi included in the price of the stay. Also it worths consideration, that the city airport is very close (you can see the runway from the windows), so expect some noise. I could hear the planes, but thanks to the modern windows it was not disturbing.
K. P.
Room was pleasant and clean with basic facilities including tea and coffee making equipment, TV and comfortable bed. Wasn't happy about people banging at the room door at 2am and being aggressive. Perhaps security needs to be tighter. Clean outside as a new building and very close to a DLR stop.
A.
Room wasn't clean, found a lot of hairs from previous visitors, very dusty fan, stains on the sheets, towels not clean. Overall tryied to avoid staying in room for as long as possible. Also car park was full - when I asked where I can park my car I've been told "Oh I don't know I usually working on days".. That sound very unprofessional.. Never coming back to this place again.
C. T.
Really nice place to base your stay in London, close to the DLR, staff friendly and helpful
J. T.
Really lovely hotel. Excellent customer service. Staff were all polite, attentive and all our needs were met. The room was very comfortable and the shower was lovely! Highly recommend.
L.
Location is great, there is a less than 5 minutes from nearest DLR (underground) station. Nice and clean rooms. Good breakfast.
There is NO FREE WIFI, it's free only for 30 minutes per day! There is no food market near hotel. You need to go to Royal Victoria to get to the Tesco.
J. C. “. E.
Having stayed here on many occasions, I would recommend it to anyone. If driving it is a walk in the park to get to, by train pretty much the same as it is 150mt from the Docks Light Railway stop.
The rooms are what they are (it's a Travel Lodge) but for the prices they are amazing value. The staff are great and the breakfasts are such great value.
Car parking, although it says 'limited' on the website, ignore that completely as I have stayed there many times and never seen the car park more than half full, even when there has been a concert in the O2 and an event in Excel.
S. K.
bout 25 minutes on the DLR from the Tower of London. The cleanest Travelodge I have stayed in. Rooms have nice big windows, but mine had no net curtains, and there is another hotel which overlooks. Darkness or sharing your life with the hotel next door. You choose.
V. S.
Rooms are clean, beds are comfy and the staff are welcoming and friendly.
The food/restaurant leaves a lot to be desired although the do have a very limited late night menu or you can order take away
The DLR is a five minute walk away and you can watch planes take off from across the Thames if you have some time to spare.
J. H.
As expected, this hotel is cheap and cheerful, but what was unexpected was how well they catered for my lactose intolerance. It was much better than the much more expensive hotels I stay in when in central London, making my trip very pleasant.
E.
The restaurant provided food and drinks even after 11pm and it's just downstairs. That was nice didn't have to look for place to eat in the area
Room that was given was with no draws, wardrobe at all, no hairdryer. Also as it …
J. D.
Lovely stay. Staff were very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Only fault was the wait time for dinner was rather long, but after a long day at the Excel centre it was nice to sit down and chat with a couple of drinks :)
A. K.
Booked room for 2 adults and 2 toddlers. Room provided has double bed and 2 roll away beds which was plenty for us 4 and there was even room for the kids to plays freely. Bathroom door handle didnt close door properly but was fixed quickly when mentioned at reception. Trainee on front desk was really welcoming and went the extra mile espically with the kids. Asked for a cot bed on 2nd night at trainee staff found one straight away for us. Also free coffee machine in bar area. Parking is £10 for 24 hours which is good and the plenty of spaces.
Z. M.
If your visiting the Excel Arena it's literally one stop away on the DLR. Great location and really easy to find. The hotel is 3mins walk from the DLR /underground station so your on the main underground routes really quickly. The rooms are basic but nice... My only concern would be if your staying here in the summer I didn't see any Air conditioning in the rooms just a desktop fan. The room and facilities are nice and clean.
Staff are really help and the bar stays open till late of you fancy a late night snack. The nearest station is the Royal Albert on the DLR.
l. b.
Staying here for two nights, yesterday we stayed at Alton Towers. In comparison this hotel is fantastic. Large family room. Comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast. Fundamentally customer focus and extremely family friendly.
Great location for experiencing Emirates cable cars, Thames clipper and DLR all make city of London accessible and fun.
T. A.
Very nice hotel with lovely mattresses. The food is reasonably priced and absolutely lovely. The staff are very friendly and always around for assistance. The only down side is one night we had to wait almost two hours for food. However we were warned of this prior to ordering.
O. L.
Average hotel next to the airport. Bear in mind checking is after 14:00, that caught me by surprise. Extremely comfortable beds, that was unexpected and really nice to have. Everything basic you need is also there. Breakfast was average, nothing worth mentioning. Localisation - 7 minutes walk to London Excel, right across the City Airport, and 5 minutes walk from DLR. So communication with outer world is good. If you are visiting an event at London Excel - this place is something you may want to stay at.
E. O.
Travelodge London Excel is a no-frills welcoming lodge meant for as few as four to five days stay. The ambience is nice, but do not expect air-conditioning because it is a non-AC lodge. Nice and decent breakfast plus good WiFi. Their staff are friendly and that is a plus.
A. K.
The hotel was very close to Excel center . I did stay for 3 nights , the rooms are big enough and they offer coffee and tea for free. The staff is very polite. Also very close there are great parks for jogging or a walk
M. W.
Great room size, good facilities, including breakfast and well stocked bar area. No bathroom door lock in the room we were in (229) and it was often a little bit hot. Other than that, it was great.
T. M.
Great hotel for the price. AC wasn’t working and we did ask for a fan that we did not get. We would have stayed another night with the room was much cooler. Otherwise no other complaints
J. I.
Clean and quiet hotel in a good location. Dlr Station is a 5 minute walk away, parking on site is very reasonable. Large spacious breakfast room. Very good value for money.
M. K.
Good value. Clean, comfortable and all that you need. Friendly staff, good food and good access to city via DLR which is just next door to hotel. Stayed in city last night at a 4 star hotel but have to say I prefer this hotel. Will stay again.
k. o.
Nice, quiet hotel. Good meals and very helpful staff. Conveniently located in the dockyards and well priced
T. S.
Good location for when your attending/working the ExCel. Travelodge are nothing if not consistent. Double beds are comfy and the pull out beds do the job. The bathroom is clean. There's a bar downstairs and in the morning the full English buffet apart from the £8 price tag isn't offensive. What more can I Say? Oh yes, there's a small car park attached but it's quite expensive.
S. F.
Wouldn't choose a Travelodge typically but this was all that was available. I was pleasantly surprised. Rooms were clean. Bed comfortable. The staff were all great. Location was good for the exhibition centre.
G. L.
Stayed for 1 night, 4 minute walk to DLR which was perfect, the room was clean, compact but nice. Service was good, the lady was polite. For the price paid you can't complain, I would stay there again.
I. A.
Good clean hotel, well placed for the Excel Centre. My only issue is that unlike all other Travelodges I have used, the room doesn't have aircon based heating & cooling. We were on 4th floor and room was hot. Only option is to open window and let all the noise of the road and London City Airport in.
K. S.
New rooms, lovely staff.
E. N.
Nice hotel, parking was confusing, however I was so glad to have Karen and Telma to help me, they were both lovely and ensured that my stay was as relaxed as possible. Thank you!
R. v. H.
Place is ok. Little cheap on the shampoo side. They don't seem to understand that the entire world is traveling without liquids and they don't have shampoo in the rooms - just one bar of soap !@#? The reception stated " normally a guy comes buy at 10 AM to fill the machine downstairs but I don't think we have shampoo anymore". Quite annoying.
For the rest the hotel accommodation is recommendable.

I have stayed here before, so I am editing my original review.
I have specifically listed the room number as it is a room that I like.
The hotel is located near London City Airport, which is a somewhat small airport in the east side of London. There are numerous chains of hotels out here, for which I have stayed in.
This Travelodge hotel, compared to other hotels in the area is located in a slightly smaller building. And is also slightly less exposed to the sounds, compared to some others in the area.
It features an area for food, reception and vending machines.
One main advantage to this hotel, is the possibility to open the window to the room.
As other hotels in the area, do not allow this.
The room features NO air conditioner, instead it has an electric radiator. The ability to open the window, and a portable fan.
While obviously, the area caters to those who are using the airport.
Others like myself sometimes stay out here because of economical savings at certain times.
It’s approx a 30 minute train ride from the hotel to oxford street (the centre of shopping in London)
This room that I am in, has no awkward noises.
For instance, there is no exposure to noises such as air conditioning units.
However, with the window open, I can here the sound of car traffic in the distance , and the occasional airplane landing.
But there is no constant repetition of specific industrial sounds.
Such as air units.

Well what can I say, it's a place to rest your head, maintenance clearly isn't high on their priority list and I was glad he a torch! Decor dated and still not socket to charge phone by bed, otherwise clean and tidy, shower powerful, staff helpful and breakfast was good.
F. J.
One of the better Travelodges we have stayed in (3rd visit) it's clean and modern in a great location with helpful staff. There is onsite parking and the food is good. There's nearby access to the DLR/Excel Centre/O2/ London City Airport. With the Airport so close by there is surprisingly little noise in the rooms.
A. A.
Good budget hotel. Welcoming staff. Bar and kitchen remain open all night. The only negative is non availability of air conditioning in rooms, but they do provide table fans.
T. B.
Good hotel. Shame they don't have enough irons. Was told they only have 10 irons for their 130 rooms! Had to borrow iron from Holiday Inn next door after being an hour late for an important meeting because of the fiasco!
J. t. m.
Good for an overnight stay but wouldn't fancy being there much longer.
I can't understand why they would put a family with young children in a room next to the main stairway when the doors keep banging all bloody night.
Breakfast was adequate.
Parking was very good.
J. D.
Located a ten minute walk from both London City Airport and the Excel, this hotel is in prime location for the price. Breakfast is available as an option for £9 and of similar quality to the other hotels nearby.
Only negative I could give would be the heat. The room wasn't air conditioned, and though the staff had tried hard by opening windows, closing curtains and putting on a fan, it was still warm, plus the location meant traffic noise through the night.
C. B.
The room is serving the intended purpose just fine and the review would have been three stars but for the staff. They are very friendly and they are the reason for the extra star. I'd happily stay at this Travelodge again!
B. H.
Super friendly. Borrowed a hairdryer and an iron from the desk. Pizza great, 24hour bar which proved handy! Clean and simple with all the basics needed.
D. S.
Place was fine. Room wasn't cleaned properly when first got in but this was fixed. Unfortunately the surrounding area is a building site with all the new hotels being built. Close to excel and dlr stop. Very close to London city airport, can be noisy
C. H.
Friendly staff and rooms clean and tidy. Great location for the Excel, albeit a little walk if your visiting other parts of London. The DLR is close by but I would recommend walking past the Excel so you get a great view of the Docks.
S. S.
Very clean spacious room. the restaurant serves really nice food. breakfast is served until 12 noon also check out time is 12.. excellent value for money and very friendly staff.
M. W.
Easy to find and nice clean hotel. Food choice is basic but cooked well and tasty. Priced well and friendly staff.
E. M.
Tidy. With hair dryer on request. No shops around. But you can have it delivered. Very close to the water. Rooms are silent and well lit and well insulated. And big too.
L. H.
Very nice hotel, excellent location by tubes and for us, 'Comic Con'. However the customer services when we arrived was shocking, was left waiting in a big que with 1 person at the desk who seemed new and didn't know quite what to do.
The worst was in the room, (which was very, very nice btw!) Is a leaflet saying if you need more pillows etc ask. We asked for extra soft pillows and my partner wanted more sanitry towels as again, it said ask. All we got was nope we haven't get either....no "sorry" or "if you go ask in this place". Not even a notice informing you.
All in all a very good stay and great room/ food and drink were good quality and good priced. Just shame again with no 'services with a smile' or anything. Only thing stopping the ladt 2 stars as its a big part of the customer experience.
M. K.
Cheap but you get what you pay for. Tiny TVs and no air-conditioning, was pretty warm. Next to an airport so there is a fair amount of noise if you are a light sleeper. Decent breakfast and capable staff.

Rooms are regular. Location is good if you need to attend some event in Excel.
Wifi is not included in room price (I cannot believe there are still hotels doing this in 2018).
A. J.
I have stayed in this hotel many times. Yes its a Travelodge but it is smart, the staff are very friendly, food is available during reasonable hours and bar is apparently 24hr. Breakfast is expensive but adequate with buffet style full english including croissants, fruit etc. Top floor (4th) can be very hot for some reason so if you are staying in summer ask for non-top floor. Parking is free and travel in to London is via the DLR.
M. I.
The manager is a very nice lady who helped me while I lost my phone , would recommend to stay here very good customer service and hospitality. Hope she gets the credit she deserves:)
A. C. S.
Akil reception supervisor was super friendly and very helpful. Check in was easy after a long day at work
Z. N.
Excellent hotel for the price could do with air conditioning, the staff are friendly and always there to help you stayed 2 nights in August loved watching the planes taking off and landing overall a good stay will stay again if in london.
H. R.
As always a great hotel, the DLR journey is nice to get here seeing City airport etc...
M. s. H.
Amazing customer service from the lady (old age) at the desk
Lovely person
c. w.
Mostly as expected: strangely the duvet was hidden in a zip up storage bag on a shelf instead of being on the bed. Good breakfast. Good WiFi, parking was £8 a day, DLR was conveniently close, and Excel center a short walk as well.
V. B.
Friendly staff, very clean room and great breakfast. Less then 5 minute walk from the tube station. Not much near it but it looks to be a newly built area. Would stay there again.
Y. D.
Basic hotel covers all needs staying for a night or two. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Bar is 24 hours 😉 only a short walk away from London excel and not too loud on a night
T. K.
Nice, quality rooms and close to DLR station Royal Albert which will link you into the underground system.
G. S.
Wonderfully spacious and cheap. Close to the overground station as well as on walking distance from Emirates chairlifts. Just too warm and noisy because of nearby airport.
T.
Very hot with a tiny ineffective fan. Dirty with stains on door. handsoap dispenser was broken. The free WiFi was slow. Staff were very nice, though.
R. C.
Room wasn't cleaned properly and carpet smelled unpleasant. Staff was nice and food in resturant was ok. Just 3-5 minutes walk to Docklands Light Rail.
R. A.
Clean, nice cosy room, view of the traffic which I do not mind, powerful single shower which I prefer, nice bar downstairs and not far from local shops and petrol station. Under a tenner to park all day for staying customers.
R. T.
Close to City Airport. Woken by sounds of planes in morning. Good clean basic room with cheap mattresses. Excellent hot breakfast to start day. Close to rail station for fast access to City.
J. A.
Enjoyed the 2 night stay there. 10 mins walk to the ExCel, river Thames is just yards away. You can watch planes landing and taking off at London city airport.
S. M.
The hotel is in a good position, easy to get to from DLR. Check in is easy, breakfast was hot. Unfortunately the room was very hot and stuffy and no air conditioning.
D. S.
The Travelodge London Excel hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Excel centre. I was in the reception area for the whole duration that I was there and the hotel staff were helpful and pleasant. The seating area is comfortable and it had plenty of plug sockets to charge devices.
A. C. E.
Rooms are clean, quiet and properly sorted out. However, don't stay here during the summer season. No aircon, no fridge, small window opening. Hot room.
E. D.
It was a nice and wonderful room ,room freshed very good and the bed was comfortable🌸The housekeepings were nice and good manered.🌹🌹The only thing that wasn,t good is the food and services by the kitchen downstairs ,the coffe no good😖.
J. M.
Travelodge was a very good experience. The cleanliness was excellent and all 4 floors were at the highest standards. Staff are very helpful and approachable and I would rate it 10/10
A.
Clean, well organised and big enough room. Breakfast included. Nice stuff. Good value for money for £79. The only downside is a paid for car parking.
K. S.
Clean room - staff look after you really well and are lovely. Very close to DLR so can be in centre London in under 20 minutes - walking distance to the London Excel Eastside
C. G. T.
I recommend the best hotel with confidence and the most beautiful service they have
b.
Room was okay, bed was comfy......but the food! I had the worst chips I've ever tasted it was lukewarm and stale and the garlic bread was lukewarm and out of a packet.
N. R.
Amazing stay...wonderful and helpful staff...especially a young lady called Amy...comfy bed...great parking at a cost but well worth it...definitely will book again..
J. p.
Room OK staff friendly just beds hard
D. B.
£59 including breakfast. Easy to find. Lovely and clean. Has a bar too!! Parking next door £8 to residents per nighy
S. S.
Travelodge itself is exactly what you would expect, rooms pleasant and clean, odd stains on bedding and hit and miss with towel quantities but the main problem was the restaurant, breakfast was good, great choice and well staffed but the evenings were terrible, and within the space of 2 hours and 25 minutes we only received one of my two courses, I was refunded the cost of my meal but the hotel was out on a limb and nobody wants to take a child out looking for alternative food past 10at night... They do however have a well stocked vending machine in reception.
M. s. M.
decent however window was open when I got into my room which meant room was cold. Nice halloween decorations. Parking available
J. T.
Friendly reception staff, small but functional rooms. Good value. Location is helpful if you're at the Excel. Central London is 30 minutes away by DLR and tube.
N. P.
Good room and size fresh clean and great food for breakfast evening meals not much and also nothing near by only thing wish rooms had old style keys
A. H.
Clean and tidy. It's in a fairly quiet place, well at night it is when the airport shuts! Great transport as the DLR is very close. Will stay here again.
J. R.
Great hotel. A bit out of the way for central london but close to a dlr stop so you can get anywhere. Really friendly staff. Would stay again
C. G.
Impressed. A well kept Travelodge within walking distance of the London Excel centre. Staff were helpful and breakfast (and coffee) was very good.
D. C.
Standard travel lodge, parking was extortionate but what do you expect for this part of London, 20 pound parking for 24hrs, also got woken up at 0600 with music blasting from the room next to me, this isn't the hotels fault
N. B.
Very basic. Room reminds me of a cabin on a boat. No extras at all. Room is clean and small. Premier Inn so much better.
P. J.
Room was at front of building so direct sunlight made it very warm, fan provided was very helpful everything you would expect from a Travelodge pleasantly surprised by bar prices conveniently positioned for DLR into city
C. S.
Not to bad couldn't be more better with the service paid a lot of money not get the room service is nice for the customers to come down to get the food is not about the money it just need to be take care your customers I believe when you doing business always customers come first and hope you listen to customers. Thank you that is my opinion.
B. W.
Everything you need for your stay. Staff are very friendly, with a varied bar and restaurant. Perfect if staying for the mcm expo! Only downer is there are no near by shops.
V. B. R.
The second night I stayed here, I was almost forced to sleep hungry. Even though they claim 24 hrs, the kitchen was shutdown by 9:45 pm. Apparently they have some staffing issues. I then had to order Pizza from Domino's and get it delivered to the 'hotel'.
J. H.
Simple but nice and clean room, comfortable mattress and pillows. Breakfast was ok and the staff helpful and friendly.
C. C.
Nice rooms and nice service. Breakfasts leave a bit to be desired but nice in all. Cool to watch the jets take off and land on a small runway.
S. W.
Modern and clean. Parking £8 for 24 hours though free on front if you can get a space. Easy access to central London as close to dlr.
G. F.
Excellent location for visiting London. Got a really good price. Great transport links - DLR and Emirates Airline within walking distance.
T. C.
Room was very clean, staff were friendly and helpful and we had a good night's sleep. Can't ask for more from a budget hotel
P. F.
Good for the price. Put a crib in for the baby for us. Parking was easy and just £8 for 24 hours.
P. B.
Lovely stay, really nice clean rooms. Good security features to access rooms. Security to access hotel at night.
J. B.
Hotel staff friendly rooms clean but do not have air conditioning and Windows restricted therefore very uncomfortable in recent hot weather
O. I.
Nice, comfortable and spacious rooms and the staff are so accommodating and helpful! Also right by the station so great for transport
H. J.
Location to excel is perfect. Room was clean and staff are very friendly. 3 minute walk to the DLR and airport is across the road
R. B.
Nice clean and view great of London City Airport
A. V.
Excellent location.
City scapers, night walk, riverside, DLR, Airport...
Hotels...
.
C. S.
Excel centre. Staff friendly and room well equipped. Location is one of the main reasons for our return to this hotel. Rooms would benefit with air conditioning
n. i.
Stayed one night. The rooms were very basic. However saying this it's location was excellent very near th çentral part of London. Xxx
J. W.
Clean, comfortable, welcoming staff and located conveniently near to the DLR.
S. D.
Fantastic staff, food great, loved the bar area and rooms were big and better thought out with more sockets and charging points and great location for us whilst working at Elevate Fitness Expo
A. S.
Good hotel, accommodating staff, expensive parking, room was clean but drains were blocked
A. T.
Lovely staff really helpful. Room was very hot was on 4th floor was a little fan in room but didn't really help. 😓😓
B. A.
It's a budget hotel. Only problem I had and its the same with all the travelodge hotels I have stayed in, is that if you get a bit acrobatic on the bed then it tends to move around.
t. f.
Clean , friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast great value , definitely worth every penny
S. C.
Stayed here whilst attending the business show. Clean rooms great breakfast.
K. S.
Friends where staying here and every night we ate here for the whole weekend, the hotel was neat and clean, the staff where lovely and the food was great, will definitely stay here for the next expo!
V. T.
The accommodation is small but clean and comfortable. The food is delicious and good value.
J. H.
As Travelodges go....it's actually pretty good. Cheap Wi-Fi, plenty of secure parking, decent bar and buffet breakfast on par with Premier Inn.
J. B.
We have stayed in this Travelodge each time we have visited the Excel centre. It is clean, comfortable, staff are always helpful, price is reasonable and it's ideal in location for our use.
C. H.
Clean, comfortable rooms. Good food. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. Perfect location for the ExCel centre and DLR
R. W.
Comfortable room for overnight stay convenient for London Excel and DLR 2 minutes away. No problems at all.
C. W.
Not what I expected at all. The image I had in my head was a tired old hotel chain. This place is new, fresh, well staffed and very well equipped.
M. D.
Good service, 8 GBP per 24 he parking, quite warm room, some minor maintenance issues, bathroom door latch etc. But on the whole a good cheap night
C. C.
Nice rooms and got in for a good price, what room can you want... Breakfast was good too
F. F.
It is what is says a budget hotel. Clean, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Within easy walking distance of ExCel
S.
Great hotel and very easy to find. Lovely touches for keyworkers at this difficult time
M.
Standard and wonderful staff, but sink in bathroom was semi blocked and parking available but chargeable for £8 a day.
F. P.
Nice one as usually good quality, evrithing good. Thanks
A. T.
Travel lodge excel was a decent place and location for me. The rooms are cheap and finished to a good standard with a nice sized bed.
A. W.
Cheap parking for the area, the rooms are what you would expect from a newish Travelodge. The bar and breakfast is fairly average and there is literally nothing in the area nearby. Parking is cheap for the area however!
O. A.
Loved it, my stay was convenient and comfortable
L. T. B.
Got engaged the sunday i was their and they was very nice and give us a mini bottle of presseco :) Thank you for a wonderful time xx
K.
Price and facilities were good. Plus the free coffee
No free wifi, no hair drier in the room and no closet in the room
K. L.
Room was cosy, service was good, only downside was the bathroom door didn't shut or lock properly!
B. k.
summer time when i stayed here sun was blazing and the windows are floor to ceiling so just felt so warm in the room
J.
Very comfortable hotel. Breakfast overwhelmingly busy on the Saturday but was fine on the Sunday
B.
Staff are friendly, the all inclusive breakfast is a bit average, but other than that it was good
P. O.
Great days in this hotel. Very clean and the staff was extremely kind and helpful. I will return.
M. I.
Amazing Custoner Service. Above and beyond my expectation
D. M.
Nice and clean, friendly staff. Front door broken so need to use rear door. Instructions for parking are wrong on website.
D. C.
Decent. Friendly staff running a clean and modern Travelodge. Breakfast serviceable, but not great.
C. R.
The room was a nice size and very clean. On the downside it was very warm and noisy due to it being so close to the airport.
M. F.
Despite a mess up with my booking, the staff, Emily, Amy and Jennifer (with her fluffy Sandals!) dealt with the issue and looked after me. Thank you for your attention. :)
A. K.
needs free parking otherwise its decent. clean and rooms are quiet.
C. S.
Nice place, good rooms and clean. The breakfast was amazing!
C. T.
Very clean, easy parking and staff very friendly. Special mention to Akil for a super breakfast and Kyron for helpful service.
B. E.
Good location and good size room although despite being new there aren't plug sockets next to the bed
M.
Room was great, very spacious for a single - provided free breakfast which was a benefit
J. H.
Good hotel for relax 😊 not much cost price double room, staff very friendly and helpful.
l. b.
Friendly service and a comfortable room at a cheaper rate than other venues in the area
A. G. P.
We were staying in a hotel nearby, and went here to have breakfast and dinner. Both are really good, and great value for money.
E. J.
Good place to stay and fairly cheap. Special yeah here was really nice .
P. S.
Does what it says on the tin. On the doorstep for excel and city airport. Friendly staff. Basic rooms. Good value.
W. G.
Good hotel for the one night stay, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good as well.
S. M. (.
good and reasonable, very nice restaurant and varities of food.sound of near airport is disturbing
M. K.
Not bad for Travelodge. Serves food and has a bar, which isn't the case for them all. Location works for ExCeL and not much more.
P. M.
Nice hotel but tooo far from centre 3 tube change. Great for City Airport.
C.
A slight problem with having my room ready when i came to check in 4 hours after normal check in but the reception staff was friendly and helped me find the replace hotel.
J. H.
Nice clean room, bar was open twenty four hours. One is the beds was a bit squeeky
T. M.
Accomadion was good, food needs to be improved, peas was hard, burger bun was still partly frozen
p. F.
Good location close to DLR only problem is aircraft noise. Good breakfast and comfortable rooms.
D. G.
Brilliant staff made up for the dirty towels , apart from that nice hotel
J. P.
Everything here is as expected from a standard Travelodge, however the eu does are not soundproof enough considering that this Travelodge is located right next to an airport (London city airport).
A. R.
no fridge/ microwave...very basic..breakfast was to-go due to covid...👎
R. j. L.
Its good free parking but wach 👀 your vehicles mine got broke in to
M.
Good service. The room was ok, a little smaller than I'd hoped.
T. W.
Great breakfast, stayed at the hotel next door, only came here for the all you can eat breakfast
R.
The hotel is literally 5 minutes walk to the DLR station. The view from the hotel is also splendid.
L. 0.
Dr David
Very good location car parking relatively cheap for lodgers. Will definitely return next time
M. D.
Nice staff however the food was a downgrade compared to other Travelodges adult food was more like kids meals.
S. ;. B. B.
What's not to enjoy! Even the simple but lovely food menu made it a delight to enjoy meal times
M. W.
Really nice stay, handy for the trains only a5 minute walk , would stay here again.
J. O.
Clean and well-managed. Typical Travelodge accomodation, nothing vastly negative or positive.
i. k.
Very good vibe and staff. Telma and Emmy are great!
C. M.
Can't beat the price. Walking distance to the Excel Exhibition Center. Decent restaurant in the lobby. Friendly staff.
d. d.
Nice hotel, Travelodge standard. Not much in the surrounding area tho. But hotel good.
L. W.
Everything you'd expect from a Travelodge hotel. Clean rooms. Friendly and attentive staff.
K. o.
Standard travelodge, you know what you're getting. Comfy bed, basic room but everything you need.
C. w.
Bit limited parking, it isn't free... but I've never been caught. Tesco extra not too far away
A. V.
One of the better Travelodges, clean and well kept. Would gladly stay there again.
H. C.
