Hotel a little outdated, deco needs updating in the rooms. Very noisy didn't get much sleep as people partying outside til 5 or 6 am. Coffee drips on the table and 2 pillows were tacky. Needs a bit of TLC .

I found this out AFTER my 6 hour free cancellation period had ended. Therefore I would be charged the full $1600 for my stay! It is an old building , not renovated recently , but it is clean , so are the rooms that are small but they have all the necessary equipment. The breakfast is poor but enough and of good quality. The big plus goes to position. All public transports are very close (even the turist bus lines) and it is also near the park , which is a big plus too. Okey hotel, at an affordable price. The breakfast was nothing special. If you are looking for a hotel not too far out of the city, but close enough to restuarant, shopping areas and public transportation this is a pretty good place. It's a nice place to rest your head at the end of a long day. Only complaint would be that I found the maids to be kinda sharp in their tone of voice. But the rest of the staff were nice.

Good location close to buses and the Tube as well as Kensington Gardens and shops and restaurants in Bayswater. Hotel is a little dated but very clean and comfortable. I had a single room which was quirky with the shower in the bedroom rather than the bathroom but posed no problem for me. Basic continental breakfast included - would have liked some fresh fruit on the buffet. Would stay again, due to location and budget price.

Good hotel, prices are great for the service and for the great position too (just a few minutes from Hyde Park). Breakfast is not the best for English standards (no English breakfast and tea, or stuff like that) but I've enjoyed it anyway. If you don't mind to have all days bacon and eggs at breakfast (you could choose also to not have breakfast in hotel and go where you like to do it), you will enjoy this place, especially for its very good position (very near to the underground, 4 or 5 minute on foot to Queensway underground station, the red line)!

Stayed here for 7 nights. Pros: excellent location, right off Hyde park and Queensway underground. Staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast is apart of the cost. Cons: I found the Troy Hotel a little expensive for what it was. Their site on booking.com lists a "large double bed". In reality it is small and barley fits two adults. I s'pose this is necessary though as the room is tiny and only barely fits the bed. (we barely had room to open one suitcase, let alone two). The hotel in general needs a bit of a makeover. It's very dated. Breakfast is provided as part of the cost but it is a keep in mind that it is a very basic continental breakfast. Having said that, London is so expensive, so it does save you a fair bit of money if you're needing to buy brekki everyday.

Fair value hotel for a weekend's stay in London. Situated around a 3-minute walk from Queensway underground station on the Central line which is extremely convenient. Also very close to Hyde Park if you fancy a walk to explore a wonderful London Park. Our room was on the 4th Floor and on the small side. Unfortunately the lift was signed as out of order on our arrival and I, as a 70-year-old, had to lug our cases up 4 flights of winding stairs with no apology or even an acknowledgement of the issue, let alone an offer of assistance, from the check-in clerk :( Room and bed linen all clean, and everything functioned Bed very comfortable. The continental Breakfast was minimalist, just basic cereals, boiled eggs, yoghurt and yellow, sliced processed cheese. No cold meats. The croissants were cold and soggy and could have been improved vastly with two or three minutes in a hot oven. Coffee was OK. As regular travellers to London we'd seek an alternative hotel next trip.

Great location, for what you pay for a hotel in London is absolutely a bargain. Clean, nice showers and all you need for a short stay in London. Don't understand why people are criticising, it's a 3 star and really cheap however exceeded my expectations. Will book again if we visit London again.

(Translated) Very nice room, I liked the inlays on the mirrors. The TV is a bit small and deep, but many programs are stored in the right order. There are no extra sockets where you could charge your cell phone or connect the hair dryer in the bathroom. There is an empty, working minibar, in which you can temporarily store small items that you bought at the Waitrose around the corner. At night, however, someone could open my room door with his key card and theoretically come into the room that was actually a guest in the next room. So the door (at least from room 503) should be locked. (Original) Sehr schöner Raum, die Intarsien an den Spiegeln haben mir gut gefallen. Der Fernseher ist etwas klein und tief, aber es sind viele Programme in der richtigen Reihenfolge abgespeichert. Es gibt keine extra Steckdosen, an denen man das Handy aufladen oder den Föhn im Bad anschließen könnte. Dafür gibt es eine leere, funktionierende Minibar, in der man Kleinigkeiten, die man im Waitrose um die Ecke gekauft, zwischenlagern kann. Nachts konnte allerdings jemand mit seiner Schüsselkarte meine Zimmertür öffnen und theoretisch in den Raum kommen, der eigentlich Gast im Nebenzimmer war. Die Tür (zumindest von Zimmer 503) sollte also abgeschlossen werden.

The hotel is very well located as a starting point for activities, less than 5 minutes from the tube. This also makes it very loud at night. Rooms are quite old in terms of furnishings, but clean. Staff was mostly friendly, breakfast is okay, but nothing more. Generally recommended for short stays, although the price of >100€/night is a bit high for this hotel.

Arrived by chance. Very clean hotel, it is not specialized for celiacs but very available for breakfast, so no problem. We find much more chaos in Italy... Comfortable rooms, clean bathrooms, close to the metro, I highly recommend it. The only downside is if the room faces the main road and you don't have air conditioning. But others had it, unfortunately I didn't.

Right next to Hyde Park. The tube and bus are practically on the doorstep. The hotel doesn't have a wow factor, but it's very good by London standards. The breakfast is very good and included in the price. In London, you often only get a slice of toast with jam. The Troy Hotel has a wider selection.

The hotel is OK in terms of price/performance ratio. It is a small hotel with few rooms, it looks old from the outside. The rooms are clean but relatively small and old-fashioned. There is English breakfast, which is quite ok. The hotel is about 3 minutes walk from the Central Line. It takes about 6 minutes to walk to the Circle and District lines. The bus stop can be reached in a minute on foot. On the street where the underground stations are there are several pubs, restaurants and supermarkets. The reception is staffed 24 hours a day and the staff is very nice.
