As a family of 5 it is tricky finding hotels. YHA are perfect for us, the room was clean, quiet, modern, warm and comfortable. Great location for exploring London and excellent value for money. There is a quiet cafe/bar downstairs with helpful staff
G. P.
Excellent location. Quiet spot with lots of interesting bars and restaurants very close by. 10 minutes walk to Oxford Street. Very clean rooms and on a much smaller scale than other London hostels.

Worth the price. Clean and nice. The night time manager, waived off our cancellation fee for changing rooms in hopes that we enjoyed the stay, which we did.

Really good central location. You can take a walk in any direction and visit the many sights of London.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room was very clean and spacious.
The only thing I wasn't so sure about was that we were asked to strip the beds when we were leaving.
I'm all for helping out, but when you have children to get ready and checked out by 10am, this can be very difficult.
I would definitely recommend YHA Central to anyone wanting a cheap, clean place to stay with a great location.
We will definitely be returning!

Centrally located, clean and confortable stay as a family: ideal for visiting London.
A 6-bed dorm with ensuite bathroom and toilet in the centre of London - a few minutes walk from the nearest Underground station and Oxford street - with self-catering facilities: what more could you want!
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, promptly replying to my questions before booking and also during our stay. We really appreciated being able to access our room before normal check-in time, and that they printed out our boarding passes before our departure.
Overall, a very nice experience as a family in London for the first time.
Thank you all.

We stayed here as a group of 2 teenagers and 3 adults, booked out the room of 6 beds and shared bathroom/toilet between us. The friendliness of the members of staff, cleanliness, location and services make this the best hostel I've stayed at in London. Everyone from my family enjoyed the stay as well. Highly recommended!

I had a great time there.
Many nice staffs welcome the guests.
We can eat cheap and good breakfast there.

Left this morning after staying here two nights, room very clean and tidy and we had our own private bathroom, best shower I've had in a hotel. Clean bedding and comfy beds despite being bunk beds. Clean communal areas. Would definitely book to stay here again when we come back to London.

The staff in this hostel is great. Everybody, with no exceptions, was really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet, but a bit too hot. We had to keep the fans on all night despite the fact that the temperature outside was about 18oC. The toilet was private, but in the corridor, which is not very convenient. I'll definitely go back - the staff does make this place special.

Superb value for money. If you're expecting the Marriott for 1/4 the price you'll be disappointed but it's efficient, clean, tidy, well placed and excellent for us and our family. Rooms are a great size with ensuite. Bar is great value for money and the kitchen is perfect. We will be back again.
Pillows are like sheets of paper but more avaliable when asked for!!

I really like this hostel, but haven't been there since covid, as am confused as whether they still accept single travellers . The website appears to imply that the hostel accepts groups of at least four, at the moment. But I will check later in the year.

Great YHA. There are reviews that say it has basic rooms etc- it's a youth hostel. It's a base to sleep etc, not a fancy hotel! The rooms are clean and comfortable, the self catering kitchen is spacious with plenty of storage/fridge space. There's a luggage storage room with lockers for £2/£3 depending in size.
The location is perfect-15 min walk from Oxford Circus, tube station not far and plenty of bus routes near by.
The staff were by far the best thing about this hostel. So friendly, helpful and they were working really hard.
We can't wait to go back and stay again!

One of the best hostels in London. Totally worth the price. The location is perfect and the place is clean with a friendly staff.
A. M.
Location. Price. Cleanliness. Pick any three. Seriously impressed with our first visit to the YHA. Friendly staff, clean rooms, quiet at night, 24 hour bar/cafe. Would we (a family of 6) stay here again? Absolutely!
Y. C.
Tidy room, friendly staff. Have to walk a bit to the nearest tube station though, but for the price it's definitely worth it.
C. J.
Ou stay was lovely. Comfy beds, room was super clean and tidy. Our en suite was spotless. Staff are very friendly and always happy to help. Would be more then happy to stay again :)
A. S.
Very friendly staff, clean rooms and kitchen, highly recommended
J. B.
This is great for a budget stay with the family. Lots of little imperfections that need addressing probably but can't beat it for the price. Great location, helpful team, clean and tidy
G. T.
Clean and tidy ,staff very helpful and friendly, great location and all for a bargain.
L. J.
Really great hostel. So solid we didn't hear a thing from the building all night! Everything is squeaky clean and maintained. Highly recommended.
E. F.
Babies friendly. Perfect place for the price they ask. Location is amazing.
A. H.
Nice cheap hotel with great service. You get personal kitchen where you can cook your own food.
r.
Not the best beds but overall place was nice. There's a large tube map on the lobby so you know which train to get in London
C. N.
Highly recommended. Nice Staff, super clean rooms.
A. B.
The hostel is spotless clean, the staff are great, friendly and helpful. Bedrooms are bright and clean also with comfortable beds. Thank you!
L. H.
Amazing as always. Lovely clean room.
D. C.
Lovely hostel, especially for the price. Couldn't have asked for a better location. Very friendly and helpful staff -- one gentleman went out of his way to help me find a route to the airport for an early morning flight. The hostel was clean, organized, and had nice amenities -- charging port by each bed, individual lockers, free drinking water and some kitchen food, luggage storage. I'd definitely stay again during my next visit to London.
M. J. A.
Very central reasonably priced good kitchen space helpful staff.
T. H.
Comfortable and clean beds but the family room was cramped. There are also signs that maintenance is not being undertaken as much as needed.
I'd have given a lower rating, (mainly because of maintenance issues) but the staff were fantastic and the shared facilities such as lounge and cooking area good.
All round good value for money and an enjoyable place to stay. Would go back if staying I. London.
J. R. I.
Clean and well located. Bedrooms are basic, but the beds are comfortable. Great value for money if all you want is a place to sleep at the end of the day. Staff friendly and helpful. You can leave your luggage after you've left the room, lockers cost £3/24h
R. L.
Experience was pleasant overall, friendly staff and no hassle. The basement room we stayed in did leave room to be desired however, even though it is winter, the heating was on full blast when we arrived and the lack of an opening window made staying in it for extended periods very uncomfortable even after turning the radiator off. Sadly the air conditioner seemed to be not working, so the air felt stuffy and difficult to breathe In this particular room. (007) which made sleeping very difficult for me personally.
A. C.
Very clean and tidy throughout. Feels very safe and secure with pass cards to grt in and out. Generally quiet for a Saturday nights stay in a shared dorm. Reception staff struggled to smile / have warmth / appeared a little tense. But it's a budget hostel so you get what you pay for. £30 for a bed in a shared room after a night out in the west end of London. Not the worst. Not the best.
W. S.
I have stayed here twice now and would stay again. Check in is easy and the rooms clean. They're basic but have everything you need and would expect in a youth hostel. There's a cafe and bar which serves soft drinks 24 hours a day, alcohol during normal bar hours. There's free WiFi which is a nice bonus. They also offer a luggage store which is very useful in a big city.
a. a.
Really polite and helpful staff. Stayed 2 nights but I'd stay longer if I could! Place is clean and continuously maintained and also kitchen it's the largest I've ever seen and with all we need. Bathrooms outside of the room are separated: shower in one side and w.c. in the other and both also always clean. Beds are comfy and the location is amazing! 10min from Regent street and around 14min from Oxford street! Metro nearby and many cafes and restaurants in the neighbourhood (also a Starbucks around 4min from there). Also it's a hostel to go alone, with friends and also family. Loved it!

I will be back. I travel for business and this place hits the nail on the head. Lovely communal room with bar and restaurant. I spent 20 hours plus working in this area on my laptop over a three night stay. Really nice environment and keep up the hard work. My wife is a life YHA member and recommended I start staying with you. 5* all round. Much nicer environment than a lot of hotels in central london. Friendly people, lovely staff and comfy beds. Also good price bar and cool food. Wifi is on steroids compared to a lot of much more expensive places.
M. “. d. J.
I spent a few nights in a shared bedroom. It was clean, there was a friendly laid back atmosphere. Only improvement point would be the breakfast, only type of bread topping was jam and marmalade, that's a bit meagre. But all the rest was great. Loved it and would do again
D. L.
Very clean, very modern. Worked great for the Girl Guide trip I was on, they had us set up in two different rooms. The was a full kitchen in the basement we could use. Cheap way of feeding 10 people breakfast every morning. Bathrooms are small, rooms are decent size, nothing extravagant. The common area seemed nicely set up, never got a chance to use it. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay there again.
ק. פ. פ.
A great place for solo-travelers, as a woman I felt absolutely safe and welcome. The staff is friendly, professional and will reach out and helpyou with whatever you need. The rooms are small but clean, the location is top-notch, yet quiet at night.
R. W.
The common area is roomy and they have almost anything a traveler would need at the desk. The staff dont always seem l knowledgeable about running the cafe component though.
The rates seem a bit high in comparison to a private space for an Airbnb. The bunk beds are small and noisy. My bunk seemed to be crammed into the corner, and my bed was unmade when I arrived. They only offered a large comforter and no top sheet, which was too hot for summer months. Perhaps this is commonplace, but they seem to charge for a lot of little things too, given the price. I paid 2 pounds for access to a towel that was nonrefundable.
Those are my gripes. Otherwise, it's a lovely location and very clean and well-run with friendly staff. They have luggage storage even after you check out, which we found to be very useful.
L. M.
Overall solid hostel. I really appreciated the all-night made-to-order food available. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Some of the amenities were a bit shaky (the A/C wasn't great and one of the faceplates for the flush buttons in the ground floor bathrooms was off) but generally solid rooms.
T. B.
I like and appreciate the staff at reception.
Polite, helpful and really committed to serve us with check in and out, directions to places and calling a taxi driver for us on day of departure. We were waiting for the taxi and one of them came to inform us that it would be late by some minutes. I thought it was thoughtful of him to apologise on behalf for the delay even before the taxi was due. Thumbs up for the reception service. Very committed people and doing their best for all guests.
The room, the common kitchen and laundry were clean. Hostel guests were doing their part to wash up after using, so cleanliness was maintained.
WiFi available in common area only. One elevator available.
A. S.
Very good location. Near supermarkets. Short walk to underground stations. Lively common area/bar on the ground floor. Large kitchen and dining area at the basement with all the equipments and utencils you can thinking of. Everything is clean. Helpful staff. A perfect hostel. Highly recommended.
N. B.
Good hostel with a self catering kitchen in the basement and an elevator to all floors. It does simple food and a self service all you can eat continental breakfast which is served from 6 to 10-30am for £4.99 without meat, cheese or eggs. Has free wifi like most YHA hostels and I could use it in my 8 bed room number 307 on the 3rd floor.🙂
k. m.
Great place will definitely use again
K. F.
Quiet location with easy access to everywhere. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and well maintained hostel. I have stayed in twenty or more YHA properties over the years and they maintain a very good standard throughout.
E. R.
Very central and clean place just a few minutes walk to Oxford Circus
I. H.
Great location. Very clean. Bathroom in my room has decent wear on it. Needs new flooring. But not horrible. Kitchen is good and they have lots in the lobby. Only thing I didn't like is wifi was so bad! Only works in the lobby and part of the kitchen and it was so spotty! Kept logging me off :(
T. H.
I stayed at this hostel for 3 nights this week. It was clean, beds comfortable and kitchen great plenty of boxes to store food and 3 large fridges with plenty of space. There were a mix of families , singles and students old and young. The staff were great and there 24 hours to help if you need it. The original YHA was set up for young people to have a cheap place to stay if you want to meet people you have to make the effort. I was there on my own in a wheelchair and coped very well. So to all wheelchair users it is ok to stay. If you want to party stay at another hostel the YHA has plenty more in central London. It is 5 minutes walk to Oxford street and 10 minutes to Kings Cross where you can find a bus map which will give you all the numbers covering all areas. Hope this helps anyone looking to stay at this hostel I can recommend it and will definitely stay again
D. H.
Good and clean as long as you don't need wifi (never worked). The sitting areas in the kitchen could use an upgrade. Decent rooms and good beds. Good sized lockers in rooms. Decent sized showers.
M. D.
Wonderful experience, the staff was super accomodating and helpful. We had an issue with the AC and eventhough it couldn't be fix on the spot, the guy from the front desk tried his best to find a solution. The bed are confortable and the bathrooms are clean. Breakfast was good, the food in general is nothing fancy but good quality and served any time which is a big plus if you are coming late from visits and such. The location is great, especially if you like to walk (35 minutes to buckingham, 25 to Picadilly and about an hour to Kensignton) but buses and underground station are not far away.
J. S. M.
Most important aspect of this stay/location are the staff at reception and culinary. They are all helpful, patient, and very supportive of different age groups, languages and needs. I was more than impressed, in fact at 58 and this being my first hostel experience, would say actually wonderfully surprised.
Would be interesting to see whether several rooms could be converted into a pod style stay for a slightly higher fee. I did feel a bit like I was living in a young dorm and that could have had a greatly different experience for not too much investment.
Cleanliness was better than expected and the common rathskeller was pristine. Give this place a chance if you are just popping through London to see the sights and not to just sleep. It will be worth the price and convenience of a near central location.
C. S.
Great place to stay for a great price. Bathrooms were always clean and food is always available on the first floor. The staff is super helpful and answer even the dumb questions with a smile. Can't wait to go back!
M. B.
We stayed here in the evening for a stag do and got 4 big private rooms which had a private shower and toilet, and also access to a communal one. It was a really great and cheap for 14 of us. Parking close by was about £30 per car, and we had 3. Worked out to be about £35 per head for central London accommodation in summer. The room was fantastic, everyone had a plug to charge their phone and a light. The beds were bunk beds and had a nice duvet cover.
R. R.
Very good place to stay and helpful staff as well. The only things that let it down is due to covid 19 with no breakfast or evening meal available and no luggage store. However there is a small area which serves hot drinks to take away. On the whole I would recommend you to come here even during "Covid times".
J. C.
Great hostel option in a convenient location! Close to public transport and tourist sites. Price is super affordable for travelers on a budget. Kinda sucked that the WiFi is only accessible in the common area but oh well! Not the end of the world especially for the price you’re paying.
R. C.
We took the hostel just to rest few hours as we had the bus in the early morning. It was clean and quite new, people are friendly and every bed has its own mobile charger socket. We had no time to really enjoyed it but I would suggest it as it is also in a nice district and quite close to main touristic districts
V. T.
It was a good and comfortable stay. Location is just above Soho so it was relatively quiet but close to a populated area. Good facilities and high security. Annoyances would include the dryer not working after 10pm and that the rooms are insanely hot during summer.
A. T.
The location is perfect. Close to public transportation, but also convenient to walk in the city. Soho is very close walking, and also stores, restaurant band bars are very close to the hostel. The price of the hostel is very good, staff is adorable, the room are small but clean. I came when it was not very busy, I think in summer it could be noisy... But I really recommand it for backpackers.
S. M.
Nice private family room
P. N. U.
Great service, location, and activities. There are events every day, such as bar crawls or game nights, to keep you entertained. You can also get discount tickets to theater shows and attractions. Staff is kind and helpful. The only thing is that rooms can get really hot (I went in the summer) so get a bed by a fan or bring a light blanket as the ones provided can get heavy.
M. G.
It is a very clean place, but in my room, on the fifth floor, the showers were not so great, it would stop every 10 seconds... On the other hand, tbe staff is very friendly and willing to help, to food is sometimes good, breakfast too. The only I was disapointed about is the fact that there is no wifi in the rooms and it is kind of expensive to stay there so it woulf be the least they can do, provide the visitors with wifi everywhere. Overall, i really liked my experience there and i would still recommend it.
J. W.
The room is clean but I cannot even take a shower as all floors come with cold water, when I asked the staff they seem no surprise and said it is normal as people are taking shower at the same time. I know it’s a hostel only but I just want to take a warm shower after visiting. They should upgrade it
T. M.
Conveniently located outside of Westminster, a good 15 minute walk to Underground transport. Plenty of restaurants in the surrounding neighborhood. Quiet and clean. Staff is friendly, helpful and polite. Is perfect for a budget traveler. Is my first time staying in a hostel. The single bunk bed is very cute. They have laundry service and kitchen in the basement.
A.
It's ok in the winter, but in the summer u will never be able to sleep coz of the heat an air-conditioning is a must in the summer
I. J. T.
Very clean and safe location in Central London. The staff is kind and helpful. I shared a 6 people room without bathroom and it was ok. Common washroom and shower are quite small. The kitchen/communal area in underground and sometimes there's poor ventilation. In contrast, the bar/living area in the ground floor is very cozy. I think it's the best deal price/location in that neighborhood
F. R.
The location and everything else about the hostel was great. Clean and reception were very friendly. I'm not rating this a 3 because of the services at all but my experience staying in a female dorm. There should be a warning for those of you who are light sleepers. When you book a room at a hostel and staying with unfamiliar people please expect that you are not guaranteed a roommate who doesn't snore. I was in a room with 5 other women 4 had arrive at a around 9:30pm and we were asleep no problem what so ever. I snore sometimes and I can't help when that happens but there were no complaints everyone was fast asleep until a late comer arrive around 11:30pm. At this point she wasn't being very subtle about her presence which I didn't complain because it didn't bother me. It's expected. Then I fell back to sleep and every time I began to snore she would shake the bed roughly till I woke up. At around 2:30am I have up and left the room. At this point I just chilled in the café in the hostel, which is very cozy, till the time I left. Once again a hostel is not for you if you are a light sleeper so don't expect someone to be able to control when they snore.
T. B.
Lovely place in a convenient location. Excellent self catering kitchen and cosy common room.
Shame I was harassed by a fellow guest who kicked me out of my bunk. Stayed awake in the common room overnight. Could never bring myself to return.
C. S.
This is YHA's Family hostel, FYI. Bad choice for a solo traveler looking to meet people and party. Very clean, safe, and conveniently located. Locker situation in the basement was a little tight, but they're definitely secure. Bar staff is awesome, drinks are cheap as hell
T. M.
I have just a backpack and a small hand carry, as a tourist.. this place was worth every penny of my money, I booked it online in china and had no idea what it would look like. but I was pleasantly surprised. staff was polite, rooms were …
J. K.
Spent three days here. Shower was a bit smelly however the dorm room was great. So warm and surprisingly comfortable matress.
Loved the lounge/bar area. Great vibes and friendly service. Really good pizza and nachos
A. V.
For the price it was really convenient. Great location, about 5-10 minutes from a lot of public transport option. You can only get wifi in the common area but that didn't bother me too much. Overall really good experience.
P. R.
If you plan to stay for around a week better buy the membership and do opt for the breakfast.. their crossiant is yummy. Clean and friendly place. Better than a hotel I'd say. You can cook food in the kitchen store it in the fridge. You may use the dryer and washing machines. Cozy stay.
M. M.
Bed are good but room a bit small. Very clean and safe location in Central London. Most of the staff are kind and helpful. I think it's the best deal price/location in that neighborhood even though this is my first time in London and my first stay. China town and Soho is closed by. Buckingham place, London eye, Big Ben, parliament square and downing street - all walking distance..Recommended to anyone.
B.
The fact that this place has a kitchen will save you a significant amount of money compared to eating out in London. The rooms are warm and clean. Service is terrible if you try to use email, but if you call or go in person you'll get great service. The cafe downstairs is reasonably priced and good quality as well.
G. C.
Nice and clean place. The only problem was that from my bedroom (101) you can hear a terrible noise when people go to shower. But I think it was a technical problem that will be resolved in the future. I couldn't sleep well.
M. F.
New construction in a quiet central neighborhood. Staff was a mix of super helpful and cheerful to disgruntled and couldn't be bothered. Beds and linens were clean but showers could be improved. Overall a positive experience and would recommend.
C. J.
I would stay here again. Clean facilities, friendly and helpful staff. Wifi available in the main areas, however relatively slow and often did not work well for me. Luckily there is a Pret a Manger (cafe) around the corner for when I needed better connection. Great location - a 30 minute walk from many theatres and Camden markets in the other direction. Priced reasonably, family friendly, good atmosphere.
I. W. (. V.
Clean, big well-equipped kitchen to cook, great location - everything is on top! but air quality.
All the chambers and common halls are on the ground floor or on -1 (-2?). In particular, there was no window in my room (which is sad) and the air circulation was assured with aircon constantly running. Maybe it is just me, but it felt too hot and not enough oxygen to breath.
N. G.
Excellent hostel, accessible including the self catering kitchen, lovely breakfast and very helpful staff. It's the third time I've stayed here and I always enjoy it - it's where I go if I'm in central London. As a wheelchair user finding somewhere accessible is always an issue so it's great to find a place that can cater for me.
N. T.
I stated here with my Girl Scout troop. The hostel was clean & safe, and staff were friendly but the rooms had no air conditioning and the showers were a nightmare. The shower heads sprayed out far and were not adjustable. Also they would flood into the sleeping area because the curtains get blown around and the head sprays outward. Another part we didn't like was no wifi in the rooms.
A. A.
Affordable with good amneties and friendly staff. Would have given 5stars, but water heater broke down during my whole stay there. Freezing water in a cold climate doesn't bode well for an tropical asian like me.
R. P.
Fabulous YHA. Clean, warm showers, friendly staff, well equipped self catering kitchen, big fridges with labels provided to identify your items! Hairdryer, straighteners and iron available to use free of charge (located in the laundry room). The street was quiet (a massive bonus if you've ever stayed in St Pancras YHA) It was very warm in London when I stayed so the added fan in the room I was in was much appreciated. If you want/need good Wi-Fi then it doesn't have this (very minimal patchy service) but I didn't so wasn't affected! There is bar and food available which looked great, I just didn't require it for my stay.
I. S.
Fantastic staff, all the rooms were clean. For quick two night stay = perfect. Family friendly, good food; I would recommend for most visitors unless they think themselves a princess 😀
C. L. E.
Nice location and accommodations. The rooms need better air conditioning for the warmer days. Would prefer Internet access in rooms as well as common areas. The hostel is kept very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
C. F.
One of the best hostels I've stayed in in Europe. I had some drama occur and they were on the ball and helped me through it. A real comfort being in a foreign country. Shout out to Ellie who went above and beyond to help me out and make me laugh.
F. A.
Good location, very close to tesco(grocery) staff is really nice. We got one room for 3 for 20pounds p.p. the room had own bathroom and 4 beds. Only thing bad is that you need to leave room before 10am.
M.
Great location! 5 minute walk to the tube! Restaurant is reasonably priced! Staff are helpful with lots of tour options! Rooms are clean with private lockers so don't forget your lock!
L. M.
Had a great two-nights stay at this hostel. The location is excellent. Found it clean, safe, good vibes, friendly and helpful staff and great services.
There was no apparent noise during the two nights I stayed, so I slept very well. (stayed a friday and a saturday night). Appreciating the availability of baggage storage room (the room is looked), laundry (did not use this time), kitchen (did not use this time), breakfast from 6am , front desk open 24hs, free maps etc. They also indicate many ideas for activities and tips for the stay. Internet available at charge (did not use this time). Each bed has at least one place for charging electrical devices (I had happened to have two available). Safe storage of bag in the room (big lockers, bring or hire a pad lock for it). Fast at answering questions per email (for example before the trip).
Depending on what time you would want to go to bed/rest/sleep you might want to bring an eyebag and earplugs. In the room I stayed it was pretty quiet (both inside the room and the street outside), so I didn't have to use the earplugs. Eyebag came in handy when I went to bed pretty early one night, since the others were not sleeping and the main light was on.
Towel is not included, can be rented. The bed is fully equipped and warm.
The individual lamps (at each bed) I find are placed so it doesn't disturb the other people too much. My room had a sink, and toilet+shower outside in the corridor. (other rooms has shower and toilet incorporated in the room I think)
At check out they asked me for how I liked the stay and asked specifically for feedback (about cleanliness for example).
I'd definately stay there again! Had a great experience (above expectation).
M. B.
Fab!! Central location easy to get to everywhere. Nice rooms even accessible rooms, 24 he reception, a bar and cafe, wifi, games and books. Relaxed and friendly. Bargain. Why pay tons to stay in a hotel? Dorms from £16 night throughout year.

I stayed in an 8 bedded female room on a Saturday night before I did the London to Brighton BHF charity cycle ride. I wanted to be up early and not spend a lot on the accommodation. I was impressed by the location and the facilities, making use of the kitchen to cook myself dinner and it was nice to as socialise with the other guests. I took a little stroll around the area, quickly finding myself a Tesco Express to get a few bits and a wander towards Oxford Circus and past Broadcasting House was only about 5- 10 minutes away. Buses, tubes and cycle hire are all relatively close by. It only took me 10 minutes to cycle from Kings Cross. My bike was stored safely in the office for me overnight, which was great.
My bed was comfortable, I had a few problems with the power to my top bunk, but the resident below me had decided to unplug it and luckily I realised, else I'd have had no phone battery the following day and the phone would probably have run out of power before my alarm went off. The shower was excellent - hot and good power to it.
The only downside was that some residents need educating on being more courteous to other guests. Some of us had chosen to go to bed early. Indeed one lady was in bed when I arrived at 7:30. I acted accordingly, by being quiet, not turning the light on and leaving the room to sort out anything noisy. One other guest turned the light on at about 10pm, emptied her entire suitcase which sounded like it was full of plastic bags and spent at least 30 minutes sorting it out. She then went for a shower for 20 minutes and left the light on. I turned the light out and we went to sleep again. She later returned, turned the light on again and spent 20 minutes with the hairdryer. By this time 4 of us are in bed - not the hostels fault, but people need reminding to be more respectful. When I left at 5:30 no-one even stirred and I did everything outside the room, so I didn't disturb the other guests.
Fantastic service other than lack of courtesy in the room by other guests. Would recommend highly to others, although a private room with other friends or family would be a better idea I think.
L. B.
It's a hostel, which means all the hostel things: Bunk beds, small bathrooms at the end of the hall, and all that.
It's a hostel, one in London, one that didn't force student me to pay ridiculous prices, one that's very well kept and has nice staff.
The building's kitchen and other things in the basement haven't been used by me, they've looked nice enough at least.
I'd recommend it to travellers on a budget (students on a week-long trip perhaps) and anyone fine with staying in a hostel.
J. N.
Really great atmosphere, friendly staff and a good kitchen and dining area. Only small complaints, such as wifi not reaching the rooms, limited cooling in rooms, and a very slow lift

Good reception and the best location, literally 6 minutes walking from the underground, there's restaurants around (you should try Brazilian Gourmet, 4 min from there), the only thing that was a little weird was paying for a bath towel
M. D.
Typical hostel that offers easy access to the major sights around central London. Decent breakfast selection and the o my real downside is the lack of wifi in the rooms. Aside from that beds are nice and comfortable and provide the necessary place to rest.
C. B.
Plugs and lights for all beds and a fan and some rooms have personal toilets and showers
T. M.
As a economic hostel, It's not so bad. Staffs are friendly and they have lots of activities you can join. But you have to realize some facilities you might not have them. This hostel also has the food & drink you can buy for it.
m.
Great hostel, but they should be more flexible with check-ins, I hadn’t slept for days and they wouldn’t let me enter my room a bit earlier. Most hostels have no issues allocating people earlier when there are available beds.
F. N.
Just an 8 minute walk to the nearest underground. Rooms are really clean and have sufficient space. Staff is very friendly. Everything is just great, although the elevator is really slow and our shower wasnt great either.
A. D.
Attraction: Short Stay
Quality: Excellent
Service: Hotel and Lodging
Price: INR 3000 per night in shared room
Open Hours: 24 hours
Parking: No
Awesome place for bachelors or group of friends to stay in London Central. This is the most central place in London Central and at very reasonable prices. They have thought through the entire hostel culture as:
- Basement (-1 Floor) is Kitchen
- Ground Floor is Lobby - Everyone is seated here and only place where Internet is available
- First Floor is Laundry
Rest other floors are built with shared rooms with sharing RestRooms. They provide Blanket with each bed.
The staff is really accommodating and helping for the tourists. Overall, I loved the Experience.
S. X.
Really clean. A great place for students. Offers a great price for those who are on budgets👌 I think breakfast is not included but you can buy pizza and all sort of things to eat👍
T. W.
Rooms are clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Best showers I've seen image hostel, which was a nice surprise. Great location too.
S. D. M.
Great Hostel! Nice and friendly staff, super easy check in and well looking hall. The rooms are quite big, average beds but awful shower (really annoying when you find that water is going into your room when you’re relaxing under the water), the Hostel is literally 4 minutes by walk from Oxford Circus, Amazing location!!! Recommend for sure!
D. E.
Exceptional service by Theodora, but the facilities were not as expected...the furnace was out of service and the sinks were dirty... What is more we needed a device to charge our phones and the hostel didn't have such devices...I really liked the service from the other guys too and they will give you plenty advice about sightseeing with better prices if you book them there and they will advise you for night life too!
C. M.
Great location. Facilities are clean and staff is very friendly. Rooms do not get wifi and you must bring your own padlock to lock your belongings.
P. Z.
Great location, good prices... But felt very much like a business. They charged for everything extra. Light of my bathroom didn't work and WiFi only works in the lobby. Great staff too!
J. M.
I stayed in dormetry 501. The room was large and had a comfortable bed. Shower and toilet facilities are in good condition and located just outside the room. There is a shop/bar in the hostel for late night snacks. It serves some hot food too. This is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Ive visited twice and will come again. The location is fantastic. It's very central, walking distance from soho and other landmarks like Piccadilly circus and Trafalgar square with tube stations nearby to reach greater London area. Theee are great bars and restaurants a short walk away but the area is quiet enough to get a good night's sleep. I'd give it 5/5. For an affordable stay in London there is no better hostel in my experience.
S. V.
Pretty, near the center, friendly staf! Good beds! Clean rooms, you could get breakfast, lunch or even diner, or cook your own things! I was very pleased with stay! Thankyou for the nice stay there.
A. M.
The hostel is great, it would have been five stars if it wasn't the shameful 'TheCloud' wifi. Never worked on my computer, my phone could connect one out of ten times, very slow, doesn't work in rooms. I mean its central London, cant you get a better wifi?
P. B.
Great place! Good position, nice rooms, nice staff, good mini-bar-cafe, good facilities in kitchen. Really enjoyed our stay!
W. B.
My mother and I (perhaps both counting as "old weird and freaky" travellers) stayed at this hostel for 5 days on her first trip to Britain. Both of us found the rooms to be clean and convenient, the kitchen was large and well appointed (though some of the younger travellers did not clean up after themselves as promptly as is polite in a shared kitchen), and the location could not be beat.
Yes, the cliental in this hostel is a bit older; I'm still under 40 and I found this to be a bonus. They are quiet, and no one woke us up at 3am coming in loud and late (as happened to me at another hostel in the area).
So I would heartily reccommend this hostel to any traveller who values quiet in their accommodation. There are many twin and double rooms available, for reasonable rates. It's not the cheapest option in the area, but it's a nice balance between price and privacy.
The staff were excellent.
A. K.
Just great hostel! location, stuff, design are wonderful. The kitchen is well equiped. The rooms are modern and clean. Definitely I will return here!
T. M.
absolutely fantastic people. friendly. supportive and polite. the cafe at the reception has an awesome environment and the rooms and toilets are clean and tidy. perfect for solo travelers and friends ...
S. H.
Nearby Goodge Street Underground Station, YHA Central is adjacent to University of London campus, Tottenham Court Road (electric appliances), Oxford Street (commodities and merchandise), Regent Park, London Zoo, Kings Cross, and St. Pancras International.
Locker storage, shared kitchen (cooking facilities, refrigerator, and cabinet), dining hall, and warm faculty offer guests comfort, convenience, and organised space. Breakfast buffet available.
S. G. H.
The location is absolutely perfect, 5 min from Oxford Street and next to many tube and bus stops, but in a quiet enough street that you don't get any noise at night. The rooms and common areas are spotless clean, beds included. There's a kitcken with many fridges and shelves to store your food and they also have pizzas and finger food in the common room / reception area.
Also, they organise many group activities, including city tours and pub crawls (some of them are even free!) and they have discount tickets for many of London's main attractions.
The only small bad thing is that there's no Internet in the rooms, only in the reception area, plus there is only one bathroom and one shower for every 4 rooms on average - which is ok if you have the time and patience, but can be stressful if you need to be somewhere at a specific time.
I'd definitely come back here again when I come back to London!
S. T.
Good hostel- nice location, friendly people and helpful staff. However, the shower, sink and many other utilities were not working, and need to be fixed quickly.
M. W.
A large and not very homely hostel, but conveniently located. Awkward about bikes - they get grumpy if you leave them on the streets, and the in hostel storage is difficult to get to.
L. L.
Awesome Experience. The place is spotless plus the staff is very friendly and helpful. I didn't try their breakfast but seemed fair for 5 pounds.
A. W.
Wonderful! Rooms can get a bit stuffy, even in November. Keep the windows open! Do not let people close the windows in your room, or it will be super hot !
M. F.
Quiet, nice facilities. WiFi doesn't work in rooms. Everything here seems brand new, and the staff is very friendly. Would definitely stay here again.
S. B.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Great friendly staff who was willing to help in anything we needed. The restrooms were very clean too.
A. M.
Staff was very helpful and rooms were very nice for a hostel. No noises at night which was appreciated. It's a long walk to everywhere though.
D. S.
This is a great location, probably the best value for money your can get in central London. I wish their kitchen had more ovens, but otherwise it's excellent and much recommended.
M. H.
All you need. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location. Started to feel a great need for a bit of space and privacy after a few nights.
G. S.
Excellent place, clean and tidy, the personnel is very helpful, clean rooms, comfortable beds, cozy, personal locker, mind to bring your own lock pad, prices really good, huge place
M. M.
Great clean place, stayed in a room with only 3 others. Probate bathrooms within the room. The only bad thing was that they didnt have wifi in the rooms, only downstairs.
N. S.
l found this yha spotless, great helpful staff and a nice place to relax in the cafe and plan your stay in London. the rooms are of a high standard, not huge but comfortable. This yha is excellent value and would recomend paying extra five pounds for breakfast. This YHA is quiet, but stilll close to all the tourists areas and transport. Regents Park is 15 minutes walk, and is worth visiting and a place to see the amazing flowers, trees and water gardens, flora and fauna is every where. Chill out there ! Book early as it was full the days l stayed.
P. D.
We got a great deal. The rooms were comfy and clean and the staff were very nice
S. H.
Fun hostel. Great selection of alcohol and food available at a wide range of time. We stayed in a private en-suite room and it was clean and comfortable. Would stay again.
B. 9.
It was good. Bathroom could use some ventilation and perhaps a place some could hang their toiletries bag but it was overall pleasant.
T. E.
Centrally located, clean, and very good value for money. Booked a family room and suited us perfectly for a an overnight stay.
M. D.
Great place! Spending 3 night in a dorm while doing a training course in London. Clean, friendly, great value for money 👍
A. R.
Since ever I stayed at YHA in 2016, I have been looking for their branches whenever I travel around the UK. The hostel is so clean, the price us reasonable, YHA central is INDEED central, and the staff are just so nice.
V. R.
Really clean, nice staff, well thought out, good kitchen and the laundry/hair drying/make up room with hairdryers etc is a good idea!
N. B.
Very nice to be hostel. The reception is very nice and helpful. The beds could be a little more comfortable but considering it's a hostel they're comfortable enough
S. B.
I use London as a travel hub for Europe because this makes it such an easy stay. Central, clean, safe, well priced, close to Soho bars and restaurants and close to Regents Park but still providing the quieter enjoyment of Fitzrovia for the stay.
I. A.
Great location and friendly staff I enjoyed my time in this hostel but unfortunately I extended my reservation for one day and they changed my room but there was a bad smell in the new room
p. n.
Very central to all attractions, family friendly and student friendly. I loved it and I will be back. Would recommend this to anyone I know.Cutest Hostel, very clean rooms.
C. G.
Room was very good and clean. Facilities were clean and tidy. Staff were very helpful.
Only downside is the room was very hot at night.
T. L.
Great experience! Save the money stay here spend it on what you want else where! If you have 3people rent the fourth bed have room to yourselves.
J. S.
Cheap food and drinks, nice public area with tables and couches. They also provide discounts on lots of London tourism! Beds are decent as well.
S.
The place is very cosy, rooms are surprisingly spacious and lots of lounge spaCe. Many food and drinks options, as well as a variety of activities available day and evening
F. H.
Friendly staff and great location! Thoroughly recommend. Make sure you take plenty of your own towels though!
E. U.
Lovely staff. Clean rooms, good breakfast. Friendly atmosphere. Great location.
T. M.
very cooperative staff and absolutely easy going people. safe and clean environment with fantastic vibe.not just for single solo traveler s but also for small groups and youth.
Z. R. (.
Excellent spot. Free tours daily. Decent breakfast. Walking distance to Oxford street! easy area to catch the tube.
C. W.
Lively atmosphere and friendly staff. Space was relatively tidy but at the end of the day my room was TOO HOT. Could not sleep a bit due to how hot my room was.
P. K.
It is small on the outside but inside I assure you that the rooms are not, the prices to others are the best, super satisfied with the service as well.
L. J.
Clean room. Good communal kitchen. Lacked a Tv area and wifi in rooms. No towels provided either.
V. G.
Clean, friendly, safe. I would have liked WiFi access in our 3rd floor room, however.
S. S.
The hostel is nice. Location is great. Staff have been very helpful. Wish there was ac in the rooms.
D.
Not a bad hostel, good service. No wifi in the rooms only in dining area. Paid breakfast.
A. B.
Clean, quiet. Very well located. Friendly staff.
We had a great family stay there
J. N.
Great room, lockers, clean, well lit, toilet and shower in the room, good breakfast, comfortable beds, clean and adequate bedding.
T. W.
Great hostel, lots of food in the area. Stayed for three night and it was comfortable. Everything was clean and the bar downstairs was nice
S. S.
Central London at a bargain price. Fantastic staff with all the facilities you could wish for apart from a swimming pool and the open air ones in Regent's Park are within walking distance!
J. L.
Lovely staff, amazing cheap prices, nice friendly community that hang around in the communal area, the rooms are clean, comfortable and reasonably sized, it is situated only a stone's throw away from the heart of London, and is easily in reach of many public transport lines, great hostel, would stay again!
D. B.
The hostel is pretty fantastic all things considered. Clean rooms, lots of amenities, friendly staff. Well located, near lots of restaurants.
A. K.
Pretty good hostel, first time sleeping in a hostel. Very nice, used the woman only room. Very good option for a short stay (2nights)
C. L.
Amazing place, friendly staff, nice and clean, baggage storage a bonus, good central location and a fantastic view from our room on the 5th floor!
H. B.
Very clean and quiet.
R. T.
Great location, fantastic value for money, well equipped ensuite room with storage lockers. I have definitely been converted from expensive hotels to YHA.
C. M. E.
Perfect location, clean and comfy dorm beds, very safe, great people. Price is also cheap comparing with the others.
J. R.
Great deal for the price, especially the food/bar in the lobby. Wifi was better when fewer people were around, fairly hit-or-miss otherwise.
M. S.
Good value for money
T. A.
The room was clean and full of friendly guests, the bar has a great selection of ale and the breakfast was good.
M. J. B. C.
I just gotta say that wifi should be improved. It'd be so much better if it arrives to the rooms. Despite of that, everything was really nice.
F. M.
The place was good, the room was clean and everything was fine. But we had problems with the water for showers, which was cold.
G. I.
We had a nice stay and the staff was great. The bathroom was lacking and the water were not always warm.
L. Y.
I was in a 6-bed form and It was not a very nice experience for me. It is incredibly cheap though. Still recommended if you really have a tight budget.

M. P.
Perfect, cozy and clean. I love bar and sitting down together with others. I will for sure use this accomodation next time I will be in London.
M. G.
Staff are nice. Rooms so small but clean. No wifi service in rooms.
D. C.
Very helpful staff, very clean, big kitchen, well organized. I recommend the free walking tours (given by Undiscovered London, but I don't think they tell you that up front).
J. L.
Even cheaper due to Jan sale. Spacious modern lounge and relaxed friendly atmosphere. Centrally based to many attractions
I. H.
Facilities spotless, staff friendly and helpful, bed comfortable. Breakfast also great value!
E. H.

E. R.
Big enough, both close to Kingcross Station and the SOHO.
They have an activity schedule, bar, WiFi and snacks.
Good price for what and where it is.
L. J.
The WiFi was down for 3 days. It made getting anything done very difficult. The housing accommodations were nice though
M. W.
