Always had good experiences in these shops! Staff are lovely and the layout is clear to find what you want. Not the cheapest but you're paying for the quality and it's all delicious. Plus there are plenty of options and there are usually a few deals to be had!

There doesn’t seem to be an in between here from small, overpackaged chocolate boxes (£4.50 each or 3 for £12), or large expensive pots of one type. I’m sure the chocolate is nice and the staff were professional but I just wasn’t impressed with the selection available especially for the price.

Great selection of chocolate even have some new chocolate liquers in I will be getting for Christmas. They also have vegan chocolate too. Such a wide selection of chocolate to choose from. Bought some chocolates 50% off because of their short sell by date so look out for the little 50% off discount stickers they sometimes have on them.

It's nice chocolate, makes a nice gift and some of the chocolates are really tasty and there is a lot of different choices. This store has a decent selection. I do think it's overpriced though. Definitely not somewhere I would regularly purchase from, just down to the prices. Some items seem to be more value for money than others so definitely look around in store before purchasing.

I really like their chocolates and have a weakness for the 3 for £10 offer. The chocolate combinations are unique and other high street retailers don't seem to offer anything similar. The staff are also nice, helpful and really do know about the product range. It probably helps that there are usually samples whenever I visit.

A place I like to visit when I want to buy a special gift. Their offering of chocolates are a little more expensive than the likes of Thorntons, but you can really tell the difference, not just in the packaging but in the types of chocolate available. I like that all their products are clearly labelled too, with information on if they are suitable for vegetarians and which ones contain alcohol. Staff are friendly and quite often they'll have mini tasters in store, so definitely worth popping in!

Chocolate is nice far better than Thorntons, the only problem is be prepared to be approached by the staff. They have that corporate push to first give you a free sample, then see if you have found what you are looking for and finally try to get you to sign up to the members club. This is okay unless you don't want your data selling on.

This is a lovely store for foodies like me, which seasonal stock and new flavours all year round. Staff are always smiling and often offering samples, and many also have passion for food and can engage in long discussions about food and of course chocolate! I usually look out for that with min 2 stars great taste gold awards..

Friendly staff, the product is good across the range, hopeful they might introduce a few new concoctions soon, particularly within the boozy choc variety, and I am sure Manchester could support a Hotel Chocolat Coffee Shop as an alternative to the usual coffee outlets

Great service!!! I went into the Manchester Arndale store on the 14th November and was served by two lovely members of staff named Roz and Sid, both were so friednly and welcoming and helped me pick some Christmas gifts and seemed to have good product knowlage! I also signed up to a V.I.P card with the help of Sid and got to sample a chcoclate from Roz, which I will be coming into purches soon as they tasted gorgeous! Heather who I believe is the manage also seemed really nice and friendly and help me with a few questions and queries I had! Overall I am very pleased with the service provided! These people are a credit to the store and the comapny as a whole.

To be blunt, I'm a snob, HC feeds every bad, snobbish instinct I have along with most of my vices; with a truly vast array of chocolate of every style and concentration of cocoa, many from their own plantations. Recently they have branched out into cocoa based gin and port as well as beauty products, if they start with red wine with 85% pure dark chocolate, I may never leave!
