C. S.Stunning! Absolutely beautiful place, staff were friendly and helpful, they couldn't do any more for you, table service too. Food was delicious however prices were fair bit expensive but when the food comes out you can understand why. I would definitely come back here again, probably even stay at the hotel side of it too. Looks beautiful.

A special thanks to the two front of house staff, I’m sorry I didn’t catch their names but the man and woman who were there throughout our stay made it very enjoyable and special. I. K.From start to finish, the most perfect stay.
After a very long drive, how lovely to arrive at a large, well-lit car park with plenty of spaces.
With a fabulous array of drinks on offer at the bar, a well-rounded menu with homemade dishes on and lovely decor, it had a comforting yet luxurious feel to the whole place.
The food was good and staff so friendly to cater to any needs, offering advice on local areas etc.
The room was light, airy and had unique details in to give it a nice theme. The refreshments in the room were replenished daily and of a high standard. This also included toiletries in the bathroom.
The breakfasts were incredible with hot and cold options (classic and interesting ones, fresh ingredients throughout). During our three night stay we sampled all of the breakfast options and can confirm they were all amazing.
Everything about our stay allowed for comfort and escapism and we will definitely be returning when we next visit.
Look out for the cool planes and that'll give you heads up that you're close-by :D
J. R.Really lovely place 😍 lots of seating inside and out. Lots of parking. Not sure when it opened but is very modern & clean inside, looks and feels like new. The food is some of the best I've tasted, we'll definitely be going back. Ps. It's also a hotel with rooms arranged around a courtyard.
I've just called again and was slightly disappointed this time. It was lunch time and we ordered off the Cosy Lunch menu, however, we weren't told that the portions were only half sized, although it was enough for lunch, the deal wasn't as good as you initially thought - beware. Still tasty food.
I.Good experience all round. Plenty of parking in car park directly outside entrance. As you enter the main entrance the check-in reception for the room is to the right at the far end of the bar. Entire building has been recently renovated, and appears to have been taken over by new owners. Everywhere is very clean. Rooms are modern and spotlessly clean. Tea/coffee (proper coffee bags!)/hot chocolate in the rooms. Complimentary bottles of water. Bed comfortable. Room has an electric radiator which can be turned on and off as suited. Breakfast was very good. I had the bacon, egg and hash brown sourdough bap and it was clearly good quality produce. Small buffet with juice, cereal and some pastries. Coffee was also good quality. Very good one stay, would certainly stay again.

Of special note was the service provided by Olivia and all of the team who looked after us, double checked about all allergies and was very friendly. A credit to the Bluebird Inn!

Great ambience, very friendly and efficient staff, lovely well cooked and hot food, what else could you wish for, give this place a try and you will not be disappointed. We live reasonably locally and had never even thought about visiting the Bluebird restaurant although we have passed by many times. We will certainly be back, maybe to try the Sunday lunch menu.

Once again the Bluebird came out singing. Had a wonderful surprise on 9th January 22, with family and friends. Food exceptional nothing too much trouble, portions massive again. Friends first time at Bkuebird and we'll impressed. Thank you once again to the Manager, to Sharon and to Chefs , sorry to the cleaning staff for all the bits out of the prezzies on the floor. The room was beautiful, clean and comfy and had everything you could need. The Food was amazing and can highly recommend the smoked haddock risotto, the breakfast was cooked fresh and very tasty. J. H.Visited purely because we drove past the week before and I looked online to see if they had any vegan options and was impressed with what I saw. Went for tea, lovely welcome off the staff, in fact all the staff we encountered were all very friendly and helpful. We ordered houmous & tortilla chips and sweetcorn fritters to start, followed by cauliflower steak and even though I am not gluten free asked for a gf version of banana blossom fish and chips. The dishes were nicely presented and good sized portions. All the food was delicious and very satisfying. I have eaten banana blossom fish and chips in several places and this was the best, the batter was light and not oily or greasy. We were too full for dessert even though we were tempted. Shame they don't label which wines and beers are vegan friendly. Also noticed online they have some excellent options on their Christmas menus. Will be booking a room and staying over next time.

One of our party learned of a bereavement just as our main courses were about to be served, and the staff couldn't be more helpful. K. H.29/2/20. Myself and my family (4 adults and baby) were accommodated at this location. We were attending a family wedding near by. The 2 rooms are excellent and very well furnished ( cot provided too ) and equipped with tea & coffee facilities, biscuits, lovely and spacious. Very reasonably priced.
Even though it is a pub it’s facilities, staff, location and site is fabulous. Even for the disabled traveller or those with mobility issues, as the pub layout is all on one level ( apart from one small area up 3 steps) for eating and as previous reviewer stated can be adapted for small or large groups without compromising on space. There is 1 dedicated disabled room.
The breakfast which was included was varied, plentiful with great presentation to cover all tastes. We would fully recommend and thank Jamie and all staff for their attention to detail and service.

The food was tasty and a decent portion although menu prices were on the slightly higher side.
The room its self was spacious and had plenty of plug sockets and USB charging points which is a must have in today's day and age. I noticed there was even a European plug socket on the wall which is helpful for anyone travelling from abroad.
Only letdown for myself would be the quality of WiFi although the signal was strong the speeds were pitiful and resulted in a poor browsing experience when using it.

C. I.I had the cheese and onion pie and was very impressed. It came with the option of cheddar cheese sauce or gravy, jacket potato or chips and a choice of garden, mushy or marrowfat peas; to which I opted for the cheese sauce, chips and garden peas. The onion rings were very well cooked and the chips were excellent. For desert I had fudge brownie with vanilla ice cream which was delicious - a soft-centred fudge brownie, just as it should be.
I was satisfied with the overall service. The staff were friendly and very interactive and made the comfort of their customers a priority. They even went out of their way to change my friend's order after seeing the specials menu without hesitation.
The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food.
I can't wait to return and try some of the other food they have. The whole establishment has enticed me.

Fixed price menus with different options including vegetarian and gluten free. Sometimes particular options are not available. Prices reasonable but not what I call low. Staff pleasant and helpful. Good selection of photos etc on the walls.

Rooms are beautiful and very well priced, food is amazing we had food from the teatime menu and breakfast and both were faultless and of very good homemade quality. Staff are amazing and a credit to the place Toni and Peter dealt with us evening and breakfast time and were very professional and friendly and made our stay that little more welcoming. We would definitely recommend this establishment to everyone and we will definitely be returning in the near future.

But what we had was good.

M. T.Had a two night stay for a wedding at nearby Samlesbury Hall. Ideal location for this venue, just a 10 min taxi ride away. The rooms were lovely; clean, huge comfy bed, tea and coffee facilities, toiletries, modern ensuite. Evening meal was great, as was breakfast. The staff were welcoming and professional - we were a large party arriving at different times but there were no issues. Thank you for making a special event more enjoyable for having a lovely relaxing room to retire to.
N. D.We went here for mothers day. The staff were friendly and my meal, and grandma's was very nice. But my mum didn't like her Turkey Sunday roast. Her mash was freezing, and she got two roast potatoes but too many parsnips. Also, her carrots were very hard. My mum wanted to complain but we'd waited quite a while for our food. The food was disappointing for the price we paid. Very over priced. Unfortunately I don't think we will be returning.

If you are looking for an eatery with warm surroundings, friendly staff who can't do enough for their customers with great food and a place to chat quietly whilst you eat then I couldn't recommend it highly enough, well worth a visit.

No room for dessert but will try theses next time. Will deffo visit again.

Nice environment with wood burning stove and plenty of space at bar and for dining. Overall the food was good but I thought it on the expensive side. Cost of £9.70 for a main course of modest sized salad with butter beans and a few walnuts to which I added a portion of chips. The salad was rather small for a main meal, if it had been served with some potatoes it would have been fine.
