I would definitely recommend Gaia Smart Energy. Joe came today to install a smart heating controller and we are delighted with our toasty warm house now! Joe was very helpful, advising us in advance on which system he would recommend. He was very friendly and professional, and made quick work of the job. He made sure to answer our questions and show us how to control the heating using the app and thermostat. We're delighted to have this sorted and have no subscription fees too.

Joe did a great job installing a new full house heating control system that has paid for itself very quickly. From the first enquiry he was helpful in choosing the right system, he turned up exactly on the stroke of 8am on the installation day, did the neatest job I’ve had a tradesman so in a long time and has been only too happy to help with any queries I’ve had since installation. Our central heating system comprised a relatively complex mixture of underfloor heating and radiators. The 4 zones were controlled by a set of aging manual switches that were difficult to adjust. These were replaced with a Genius Hub control system by Joe, along with the actuator heads. This has enabled us to deploy the underfloor heating much more cost effectively. The Genius system is very easy to use and has been fault-free since it was installed 4 months ago. Joe’s technical knowledge is comprehensive, the various system components were installed tidily, and all were labelled.

Contacted Joe as I was in a bit of a quandary. My evohome controller had died and needed new one. Joe helped talk me through setting up manual heating until new one arrived. When device arrived I contacted Joe again for guidance. Multi zone house with hot water installation. He made it all very easy and put my mind at ease.

Replaced domestic storage heaters with an infrared heating controlled with smart thermostat control system. Very impressed with the effectiveness and efficiency of the system. If you are looking for an energy efficient heating with low carbon footprint then this is the way to go. Yes there are cheaper panels available but they do not come with a 10 year warranty. Once you get used to the smart software then you realise how extensive you can control the system and tailor it to your needs. A huge step forward from the days of energy waste and inefficiency associated with storage heaters.

Fantastic service from Joe!! Installed two nest thermostats in what seemed like no time. Provided great insight to how it all worked and made sure it was all working before heading off. After my Nest Heatlink developed a fault under warranty, I contacted Google Nest Support who said they would replace the system and cover the costs of reinstallation if I used an approved installer. I found Ecotherm NI via the Google Nest website and arranged an appointment. Joe removed the old Heatlink and Thermostat and replaced it with the new system in no time at all. I needed an invoice for the work which Joe was more than happy to provide me with. The installation was efficient and professional and Joe himself was very friendly. I'd highly recommend Ecotherm NI for Nest installations.

I found Ecotherm via the Google Nest website. Joe was very responsive and booked me in. Great communication and kept me informed. Arrived when he said he would and had the job done in no time at all. I would highly recommend Ecotherm. Prior to discovering Ecotherm via Google Nest Website, I had been let down by two other companies who said they would install my Nest Thermostat. 1 even rang 15 mins before his agreed appointment to say he was on his way and never showed up and stopped responding to my calls. I spoke to Joe also about converting my heating system to gas in the future, which he said he would be able to do for me also. His punctuality, communication and efficiency with me for the thermostat installation was enough to convice me he is the perfect man for the Job when the time comes. Many Thanks Joe / Ecotherm. Its a breath of fresh air to find someone who turns up to do the job on when they say they will.

I was having problems with the Nest thermostat and hot water where neither would work. Tried to reset myself but messed everything up. I called Joe who was in the area and he came round within 20 minutes to have a quick look as it was nearly Xmas and they were extremely busy. He quickly fixed the controls and diagnosed a valve issue which he will return to fix in the new year. He was able to do a temporary fix to get the heating working again and give us hot water or we would have had neither over Xmas. Thank you Joe for your prompt attention and understanding of our plight and your help to get us up and running again!

Bought myself a Nest thermostat to replace a failing low voltage programmer, after extensive research I knew I was going to have to replace 3 major components as well as the thermostat. Phoned EcoThermNI and he knew straight away what I had, what I wanted and what I would need to complete the job, quoted a price and set a time. Turned up on time and straight to work. I came across Jow whilst looking for someone to install a smart connected thermostat, and I'm so pleased I found him. He installed a Honeywell Evohome system with zoned heating, hot water control, remote access and central hub for a very reasonable price. He arrived when he said he would, worked hard, and did a really neat and tidy job. I contacted 4 of the recommended installers of Evohome in my area on the Evohome website and EcothermNI were the only one to reply. Joe came and fitted the parts I purchased in advance and explained a lot about how they worked. I love the flexibility we now have with being able to control temperature in nearly every room as well as hot water. He also completed a service on our boiler and was quick to reply to any of the many questions I had about Evohome. It is probably a reflection of the nature of Joe’s work rather than his intent but the initial appointment time (booked several weeks in advance) was morning but the work did not start until after lunch. This was due to an emergency call out to a broken boiler on a very cold day. I do understand that is an important repair but it was a bit frustrating to wait around all day. A tricky one for Joe to handle but something that left me a little underwhelmed. Having said that, the work done was to a very high standard so maybe it was a one off, unforeseen event.

I've used Joe to service the boiler and do repairs for the past two years. On each occasion Joe was able to come out to the house during busy periods when the larger firms were unable to. Joe is thorough, methodical and honest and takes his time to make sure the job is done safely and properly. On each occasion Joe has arrived at the house exactly on time. He knows his stuff about how to make sure your system is running efficiently and provides advice on tweaks you can make to save on your gas bill. Despite this he is still easy to pay. He will not try to sell you a solution or a fix which is not suitable for your needs. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Joe for gas servicing, installation and upgrades.
