Had to arrange an emergency call out through Hastings Direct as water was leaking from my Hot Water tank and running down the walls into my lounge. In response, I quickly received a phone call from Plumbcare who checked my circumstances and advised me that an engineer would be with me within the next 5 hours. Only a short time later, I received a call from an engineer (sorry, didn't get his name) advising that he would be with me in 30 minutes. 29 minutes later the engineer arrived, promptly assessed the problem and identified the source of the leak. Requiring the replacement of an expansion vessel, the work could not be immediately completed but I received appropriate advice regarding what to do and what to expect next. Hastings Direct authorised the work the next morning and Plumbcare phoned me to advise that the parts were ordered and an engineer would attend today. At 9am this morning, the engineer (Rob) arrived and completed the work quickly, professionally and efficiently. Rob couldn't have been more pleasant and was a great reflection on the company. We now have hot water again with everything fixed in less than 48 hours. Thanks to all at Plumbcare who managed my expectations well, delivered on their promises and dealt with me and my emergency thoroughly professionally throughout.

Review for Kris: I contacted plumbcare regarding an emergency repair (on a Saturday evening), within a matter of minutes Kris contacted me back and came to the property to identify the issue. Once the issue was identified (faulty pipe) he quickly repaired and advised on consequential effects of the incident and provided advice on how to proceed with follow on checks etc.
Throughout the service Kris was confident and efficient in his duties and had a pleasant manner! I couldn’t recommend this service and service person enough :) Definitely will use again!

Michael at Plumbcare was amazing. He took on what looked like a fiddly job with professionalism and humour. He was courteous of our home and didn't mind our curious 2 year old having a look. Very quick response to initial emergency call out (made on a Friday and booked for a Sunday) but unable to repair under insurance. I then called a few times to get a quote for private work, which was very reasonable, and book the repair. The final repair itself was excellent and great service from the plumber. Overall it took a week to resolve and I needed to make a couple of calls to chase the quote and if parts had been ordered but generally a good job.

Very efficient service from first reporting the problem to work being carried out. Rob was very polite and explained everything that was happening and the choices open to us regarding repairing or replacing our boiler. He got our heating and hot water back on temporarily and arranged for a replacement boiler to be fitted within a few days. He again was punctual and explained everything very clearly. On the first visit he had a trainee engineer with him and I was impressed with Rob's teaching. Excellent service all round.

The frost started and our boiler broke down, no warm water, nor heating. A few days very cold, but the Plumbcare turned up. Th engineers managed to install a new boiler within a few hours. A good job; boiler, pipes, etc. It required a call to receive the invoice and Warranty Report, as nothing was sent after 3 weeks. An important detail regarding the insurance.

Had a leak into the kitchen whenever we turned the showers on, even though the showers were not above the kitchen! Was contacted by PlumbCare through my insurance and Dave came out the same day. After extensive searching for the cause of the leak above the ceiling, and in the spaghetti of water pipes, he had to come out the next day for a 3 hour slot to resolve the problem. He did an excellent job, was very professional, efficient, polite and went above and beyond to fix my leak. Couldn't recommend enough. Thank you.

I was very impressed with Plumbcare. I was put in touch with them through my insurance company. All of the engineers were polite and professional. Enicia who I spoke with on the phone was also excellent and explained the process (flush and new boiler, 2 day job) clearly and took away a lot of the stress of my boiler breaking down. It would be good if they confirmed the appointment date via email or text, just so you don't forget, but that's a minor point.

This review is NOT for Plumbcare, but for the engineer - Steven Lyons. Very often companies get reviews based on services provided by their employees and I would like to shout out Steven here. He was incredibly helpful , professional, transparent and honest in his advice and he also valued our opinion. If he had his own Company, I would have definitely gone with him for our new boiler installation.

Plumbcare were sent out by our insurance company following the accidental drilling into a central heating pipe! Within 15mins of calling the insurance, plumbcare were on the phone arranging someone to come out that night. Dave, the guy who came out, was great. Really friendly and professional. He spoke through exactly what he was going to be doing.
Following the experience we have had we would definitely look to use plumbcare again (hopefully not for anymore holes in pipes!) And would recommend them to others.

I cannot speak highly enough of my experience with this company, from the patient and efficient man who took my panicked phone call, the friendly and reassuring young lady who booked my repair, to the calm and competent engineer who identified and fixed the water leak in my bathroom. We had three engineers out and all were very proficient , very helpful with explaining everything and all determined to fix our problem, which was not easy to find. It was such a pleasant surprise that all three were determined to find our fault. In the end we needed a boiler part and this was requested, delivered and fitted within 24 hours. The pre-visit contact was excellent, no having to wait in for a day as was given the day, contacted 30 minutes before arrival and all very prompt. FANTASTIC. Called my insurance company 09/07/20 to arrange an emergency call for a leak under my combi boiler. Details were taken and Plumbcare rang me within an hour to arrange to have one of their engineers come to my home today 10/07/20. I was kept in touch regarding the timescale of the appointment and received a phone call from the engineer a short time before he arrived. We had an emergency with a radiator leak and had no heating or hot water. It was the first time I'd used Home Emergency and was really relieved that Plumbcare responded in such a professional and warm, friendly manner.
Adam came last night and repaired everything and waited till he was sure it was all working right. But he was also really easy going which put me and my daughter at ease straight away.
He was professional but relaxed, warm and friendly and he listened to us carefully about how the problem started and explained everything to us in a way we understood. He just instilled confidence and relief that everything would be ok.

Mike B has just done a great job for me. He came to replace my bathroom taps which he duly did, and also noticed that there was a potential leak on one of the radiators as he spotted on my boiler that the water pressure was low. He checked all the radiators and found the one that was causing a problem. He then sourced the new valve, drained the system and replaced the valve. None of this being on the original job request so I was delighted that he had done this in addition to the original job of tap replacement. Also, would like to note that Mike wore a mask throughout, and was very tidy. Excellent job - thankyou Mike and Plumbcare.

Sent by Tesco Home Emergency insurrance to fix my broken boiler. Contacted me straight away to let me know when they were coming and also 30 min before they arrived. Adhere to covid safety by wearing at mask at all times while on my property. Sort the boiling issue and did a full safety check of boiler. Great service!!!!

An engineer was sent by my mother's insurance company and after identifying the fault went to get the part from his van but he didn't have one after explaining it to my mother he said it would be a day or so. My mother is 84 and started to worry so the engineer contacted his manager to get permission to purchase the part from a local dealer which they agreed to. From the moment my insurance claim was logged, Plumbcare took over promptly, efficiently and professionally. The office staff were friendly and refreshing, and we immediately had complete faith in the company. The job required was not easy, and another firm had tried to resolve it but had failed, so when Kristian and Paul landed, they had their work cut out. They didn't fail to impress. Sean Davis did a brilliant job. He went out of his way to do the job. He gave me advice on my central heating and radiators, balanced the system and chemical cleaned it. He couldn't have done more. I honestly don't even know when he had his lunch because he was constantly in and out working away. He also made sure my cream carpet didn't get any mud or dirty water on it. Without even being asked! I was genuinely impressed. My central heating has been working perfectly for weeks now. I can see the difference. I also got a filter fitted as advised by Plumbcare. The advice given by plumbcare was different to other plumbers, as I was being told to replace my radiators and then powerflush the system when new radiators were not needed! So be careful what advice you take on board. Ring around for quotes and advice. I would have given 5stars but unfortunately I rang at a busy time (winter) so the automated line just kept telling me to wait and telling me I was next in line. Out of hours line isn't the best either.as it would divert to a mobile which would just go to voicemail. If a better waiting system is in place then I would definitely give plumbcare 5 stars. I would recommend holding on or trying again as I got some good advice and a brilliant plumber! I rang plumbcare direct. I didn't go through my insurance company as they used engineers in Stockport who left me with a load of problems. It did take Sean approximately 2 hours to get to me yet he didn't let the delays on the motorway affect his attitude towards his work. A very professional engineer.

We called insurance company at 9.58am. Got a call from Plumbcare at 10.00. Said engineer would be with us between 10 am and 6pm. Engineer called ten minutes later and was here within 15 minutes. After appalling customer service from Plumbcare which involved numerous lengthy phonecalls, my incident was eventually resolved 18 hours later when the plumber, Daniel arrived to fix my toilet. He did a brilliant job for which I cannot thank him enough. I highly recommend Daniel (5 stars!), but cannot say the same about Plumbcare.

Richard and Ash attended to my properly week when I had water dripping from living room ceiling. They explained every that needed doing to find the root cause of the issue which included cutting a hole in my living room ceiling where the leak had come through. They made me feel at ease know They knew what they were talking about as I was stressing out not been able to use my bathroom facilities with a 5 month old baby in the house. They spent most of the evening outside in the snowy conditions fixing my frozen pipes outside then moving onto the cracked pipe under my shower which had caused the leak. They were both very poilet, tidied up after themselves, made as less mess as possible and the hole in my ceiling is a neat little square that our plasterer should be able to fix without it been a big job. I wanted to say thank you to them for and are a credit to your company.

My mother had an emergency plumbing issue from the back of her toilet which was leaking down into the living room below. Being an OAP she was stressing but the nice young man from Plumbcare came out and put her mind at ease by explaining what was causing the leak and replaced the faulty part for new. From a damp carpet this morning, [due to a flexy hose leak in an inaccessible place] to resolution of the problem well inside three hours, start to finish!
A phone call to set up the call, and without further ado the plumber arrived, diagnosed the problem, had an 'interesting time' requiring removal of a close-coupled toilet to access the cause. Re-installed everything and now I'm simply waiting for the carpet to dry out.
I am happy to endorse this service 100%.

Boiler care complete pack :
Boiler broke down on Friday.
One gas engineer came to fix it o Saturday. He regulated the pressure and after he left the boiler broke down again .
Then another engineer came and fixed it again.
This time they said the problem was the controller ( the electronic device near the boiler ) as the first engineer apparently forgot to turn on the heating after he "fixed" the boiler.
After the second engineer "fixed" the boiler again yesterday , surprise, surprise , the boiler broke down again.
Same issue as before : L2 error code .
Now they said they'll come tomorrow.
None of the two engineers actually tested the boiler. They turned it on and left because they were in a hurry.
To be continued as most likely the third engineer coming tomorrow will probably be as skilled as the previous ones .
Having a 3 month old baby in this situation isn't pleasant and if it won't be fixed tomorrow I plan to legally address this issue .
UPDATE - 3 stars instead of one
One star for the 3rd gas engineer who came and noticed the igniter was broken and recommended a full service for 90 pounds - somehow this isn't included in the Scottish Gas Full Boiler Care.
Another star for the 4th gas engineer who came to do the full service and noticed another cracked component which was also replaced.
Bad points :
* 2 engineers saying there is nothing wrong with my boiler
* Having a 3 months old baby and getting the first 2 guys to fix your boiler isn't pleasant at all.
The second guy was quite a joker as he told my wife that she probably messed up with the electronic heating control of the boiler.
She sad she didn't touch it and the he said : " maybe the did it". He also refused to show how to use it claiming she will break it.
* spent 72 hours with a broken boiler.
Good points
* The 3rd and the 4th guy who came got the job done and they appeared to be amazed about what the others guys did ( nothing ).
It's a shame I don't know their names but they were definitely knowing what they were doing. They just listened to what the problems were and they knew exactly what was wrong and how to fix it.
* They actually came 4 times in 3 days - so the good news is they are coming fast enough.
I cannot give more than 3 stars because of the first two guys. One was convinced the boiler isn't igniting because of the pressure in the expansion tank/vessel and the other was convinced it was because of the electronic control panel.
luckily, the 3rd guy thought that if the boiler isn't igniting ... it may have something to do with the ignition electrode and he was right :) .
I do hope anyone using plumbcare will be lucky enough to have the 3rd and the 4th guy coming to fix their broken boiler.

Plumbcare came to sort out an emergency leak. The guys who came out were really friendly, respectful of the house (taking their shoes off) and explained what was happening at all times.
They had to do a lot of work to fix the leak, taking floor boards up, laminated flooring up and also removing some boxing in of pipes. They were simply amazing. The leak was in the bathroom under the bath, after they left you could not even tell they had been, they put everything back really carefully.
They had to remove the cover to the boxed in pipes in the kitchen, they did this with such care as to not split any wood or pull off any delicate areas that all I had to do is once the area dried out I just no more nailed the cover back on.
I will store their number into my phone for any future work I may need.

Plumbcare provided an excellent service. The surveyor came very quickly, we sorted out the requirements and the order was placed the same day. The fitters Jamie and Kieron arrived at the agreed time and worked constantly to get the boiler fitted and the system working. The boiler supplied is a Worcester Bosch, which I am sure will give years of trouble free service. These days it can be difficult to find good, reliable, workmanship at a competitive price but I would recommend Plumcare to anyone. Many thanks.
