I used Simon Annear after finding them on the MCS register for renewables after realising my current plumber was not on this register yet willing to 'play around' with my renewable heating solar thermal system. My current plumber had occupied x4 days trying to diagnose my issue (x2 when they turned up, x2 no shows) and was due to return again so I opted for a change in tactic which was to use Simon Annear who has attained microgeneration certification scheme status for heat pumps, PV & solar thermal. From the initial call Lisa was knowledgeable, informative and professional. We booked a time and date for an engineer and Neil arrived exactly as advised (I am already impressed), As the installer walked towards my system he can already spot issues and after some q&a he cracked on with some fault finding. Neil was meticulous, experienced and exceptionally clean working insisting on removing his shoes and tidying up after himself. He also came prepared no need to nip off or go call somebody he was a proper engineer fully equipped with the tools and know how he was there to fix the issue. Pleased to say Neil walked me through the potential issues, his reasoning and approach to systematically get to the problem. Within about one hour my system was up and running. I learned a lesson here and you can too. There are plumbers and there are engineers both will arrive and work for you, one will keep working for you, one will fix your problem and move onto the next job.

Simon and his team (particularly Dan and Kieran, both outstanding) did an excellent job of installing an air source heat pump with underfloor heating and hot water. Furthermore, they also fitted out two bathrooms - all to a very high standard. Dan and Simon were meticulous in the planning of the installation and did their utmost to fit in the work around our barn conversion. A professional and highly recommended company.

Our boiler broke down NYE. Once we had established contact a major fault was rectified really quickly. We were kept up to date throughout. I suspect the fault would have been dealt with even quicker if we had spotted the information on the website regarding ‘holiday contact’, rather than just emailing in the usual way. Had a new boiler and gas pipe installed recently which involved bedroom floors being lifted and wasn’t straight forward.
