Patrick at Heat Space and Light has great knowledge of all areas of modern building requirements to create comfortable efficient properties. He designed, specified and commissioned the MVHR system for my 70's ex-local in London and also gave great information on how to get the most out of the system as we refurbished the property. HS&L also offer continued support after the final commission. Can recommend them 100%

Patrick at Heat, Space and Light designed, supplied and commissioned a new MHVR system for retrofitting to our 1980s bungalow. I did the installation, with instructions and support from HS&L. We are very happy with the system: it seem to have addressed both heat loss and condensation issues, though it's only been working a couple of weeks. Although the system was not the cheapest quote, it does seem to be of very high quality. Patrick was very helpful and responsive throughout the process, clearly explaining when I had any questions before during and after the process. He clearly has a good knowledge of the industry, and was able to justify all the design decisions. Some parts were delivered damaged, which wasn't ideal, but Patrick was helpful in working around these issues. When changes in the design were needed, he assessed the changes and supplied the relevant parts quickly. All in all, I am very happy and would highly recommend Patrick and Heat Space and Light for an MVHR project.

We were introduced to Patrick via the training team on the PassivHaus Carbonlite course by AECB/ WARM. We have used both his forensic air-testing and MVHR design services. Patrick is both knowledgable and generous with his experience in making recommendations for improving airtightness. Excellent service; highly professional and very helpful every step of the way. We had an MVHR system installed as part of a renovation project of our central London apartment. Patrick from Heat, Space and Light advised us throughout the process, from initial design to commissioning. Being a retrofit, the building process was not always straightforward. Whenever our builders encountered complications, Patrick was always willing to go the extra mile to find solutions and advise on ways forward. I was very impressed with his willingness to see the project through to completion, with close attention to every little detail. I recommend them unreservedly. In terms of performance, the system is up and running without a fault. It is completely silent to the point where we can’t tell the difference when it is on or off. There is a marked improvement in air quality when all the windows are shut. Cooking smells just disappear very quickly, and everything dries in record time compared to pre-MVHR (e.g. bath towels or laundry on a drying rack). I can’t comment on the “heat retention” element or any potential energy savings, as the MVHR has not yet been used during winter (installation was completed in July). I may post an update in due course.
