Reviews of COSMO All You Can Eat World Buffet Restaurant | Derby
G. O.
Lovely and spacious buffet restaurant with all you can eat, meals from various counties. It was really nice and lovely. The space was picturesque but the lighting a bill full. It’s best you make reservations before going and stick to your time slot as there tends to be a lot of people coming to the restaurant. Overall a good place to visit for singles and families.
T. G. M.
Arrived at opening time 5pm.
All the food was cooked fresh.
The teppanyaki station is amazing.
£18.50 all you can eat
£3.75 for bottomless soft drinks.
It gets busy in the first 1/2 hour of opening so
there is a good turnover of fresh food.
The staff are friendly and clear plates in good time.
An easy 5 star review and perfect for children.
A. B.
Excellent buffet. Some cooks will prepare food personally for you. Pleasant and friendly service. You can get a 15% discount on your next visit if you scan the qr-code on the receipt and leave a review about your visit.

A group of six of us came here on the 28th May 22 for my sister's birthday. Never been here before. All the staff were so friendly with a smile on their faces. The squid was my favourite as it was so tasty and cooked on an open top. Loved it. We will definitely come here again. I highly recommend 🙂
T. S.
First time I have been here for many years, it was OK but just didn't leave as excited as expected, there wasn't anything wrong as such but the choices of food just didn't leave us all that thrilled. Nice enough place and good layout and the staff were nice and attentive but maybe we expected more.
S. H.
If you are hungry it is worthwhile, @ £17.50 it's not cheap but plenty of choice and if you are happy to wait for refills you can get what you want fresh, Chinese, Asian British, Brazilian and plenty more. With some basic micro puddings and sweet treats
L. C.
Lovely place, and amazing staff. The food was amazing and tasted lovely. I went with my family, and their friends, and we all had lots of fun. I tried sushi for the first ever time, and fell in LOVE with it. This placeis disabled accesible aswell, which is always a bonus. Overall, I would reccomend ths place to anyone wanting to go for a birthday party, or family meal.
H. D. M.
Went to celebrate a friends hen do. Food was lovely, drinks were great. We had a great time all round x
C. W.
We had a great time here with the family, its most definitely improved since i went last, the empty plates were moved with in mintues and the food was hot and tasted yummy. The staff we constantly cleaning and splashes or spillages removed almost immediately well done guys keep up the good work
G. H.
Despite being very busy we got our table at the booked time and no real queuing for food. Food was hot and fresh, tasty and surprisingly good for a fast food restaurant. Also a good variety of different cuisine.
B. W.
Visited last week with the family. Good array of food but I would have liked burgers on the menu. I found it a little expensive (family of 5) although one of the party was celebrating a birthday so ate for free. All in all I was satisfied the place and we all left full. Soft drinks are bottomless
O. A.
Enjoyed every minute spent here🎊
Good food 🥰
Friendly staff💕🤗
Lovely atmosphere 💓
M. a.
only lost a star because there was no lamb rogan josh left. my fave dish from there. Also no apple crumble or proper custard. But busy the Staff were still very nice. Good food. Nice atmosphere. Clean.
B. L.
You can’t really grumble at cosmos to be honest!
They do a free birthday meal (take ID as proof and restrictions apply)
They have a broad spectrum of food and it’s perfect for everyone, as if you’re willing to try new food there’s surely something available, and if you know what you like, it’s always there!
The staff are friendly and helpful, the tables, cutlery and crockery are always clean, the food is replenished often, the only thing I would say is to avoid the prawns as more than once I’ve known one of my companions to suffer the next day 🤢🤣
T. D.
If I'm honest I was told not to go here, but took the risk to try it. We wasn't disappointed, the food was delicious and the range of food was excellent, the only down side was that when we arrived the front desk seamed very disorganized and they didn't really look like they knew what they were doing. I will definitely go again, I'd probably book in advance, we thought we weren't going to get a table as we walked in.
M. N.
If it’s a buffet you want this place doesn’t disappoint! My kids loved the freedom and the variety. The food I had was really good and well cooked. Currently you need to wear a mask and gloves when you get food. The service was amazing, very attentive and great at clearing plates.
I. A.
The varieties here are so good and the meals are really tasty : probably the most tasty COSMO I've been too
However, there is no disable/wheelchair /pram access.. The stairs are not used friendly. Service, food and ambience are top-notch!
A. P.
We were seated very quickly and staff were helpful in sourcing high chair and taking drink orders. Good range of mains and deserts, majority to a high quality. Unfortunately hygiene if other areas of restaurant was low with lack of hand sanitiser stations and empty bottles of sanitiser when I found them so didn't want to touch the spoons etc to help myself at the buffet. Female toilet was very smelly and was messy when I visited it to change the baby. Breastfeeding here was uncomfortable, not enough room at the booth style table so asked for a separate seat, staff were quick to get this and helpful. Seat was physically comfortable but had to be put in the aisle/walking space and so lacked privacy. Generally a nice restaurant with hard working staff.
E. B.
I love Cosmo, when you're not sure what you'd like to eat.. you have everything. It hasn't the widest variety, like some of its other venues, but the items they did have were well cooked. The Chinese chicken curry lacked flavour, but the Thai one was incredible. I would return again for the Indian curries alone. Make sure to go hungry!
J. G.
Top marks.
Location, layout, decor, food selection, quality and friendly staff. Affordable price and great atmosphere. I want this place to open a branch in Worcester, Worcestershire, please. 😎
K. M.
A fantastic night out with the family 👪 with everyone finding their favourite food, all of which was delicious 😋 The service was great & the staff were very acommodating & friendly too. Drinks reasonably priced but the real bargain was definitely the food. Can't wait to go back!
a. b.
Lovely food and plenty off it. Friendly staff and not to bad price.A great way of trying new foods aswell. Soft drinks like coke and Fanta are refillable.
b. s.
Lovely food and friendly staff i would of gave 5 stars but the crispy aromatic duck in the Chinese section has been replaced with shredded pork? I would like to know why as the duck is so much better
P. W.
Lovely buffet !!!Covid restrictions well observed.Enjoyed celebrating our son' s birthday last night .i will advice you to take your cake with you as they are currently not providing hat service however they are happy to sing for u and bring the cake to the table !!!Also when u book online ;tell them that you will be celebrating a birthday
A. T.
Always a fan, all the good tastes of the world guaranteed fresh and it is not the usual dry dingey Quality of the cheaper variations on the buffet system theme, the prices aren't to bad approx 16 quid on an evening but substantialy cheaper at lunch, also look out for the online booking discount, for a staff party or birthday it's the easy choice, does it look a bit like a 70's nightclub?!! , yes, well it is an old club get over it 😂
A. S.
This was my first visit here, always wanted to go as heard such good reviews and I have to say I was impressed. All you can eat for a selection of 150 plates from around the world all cooked fresh. I managed 6 plates and I was stuffed. Highly recommended, make sure your starving when you go !
M. L. n.
Surprised how good and how verified the food was . You will find something to eat and the food was very nice 2nd favourite place for sure and the price was bang on too !!
V. M.
All you can eat buffets can be a bit hit and miss but Cosmo is certainly a good example of this kind of restaurant.
The food quality is of a high standard and the variety is brilliant. For £15 a head (not including drinks but I just had water and that's free) it is very reasonably priced.
My only negative is the sound within the eating area, it reminds me of a canteen a bit too much. Some of the 'zones' need improvement too, the Tex mex area is poor (nachos mainly, I love nachos but they are very disappointing). The roast dinner section is also a bit of a let down, they definitely need to improve the mac & cheese.
The Tepanyaki is really good though, garlic butter steak was probably one of the best things I had. The Indian and Chinese are also top notch.
D.
Best range of food, all cooked through and warm when served. Definitely recommend visiting.
P. W.
Very tasty food, really nice teppanyaki and one friend really appreciated the extra chilli flakes in his ramen. 10/10.
E. O.
Popped in for dinner while out and about. Had a bit of everything and loved it as usual. Only downside was we'd parked a 10 minute walk away.
C. S.
Good selection of food all very hot and very tasty, recommended if you get the chance.
S. I.
Service is always terrible!!
Kids love it though & food was OK, lots of choice & plenty of it... it is what it is!
Really clean & have done well with social distancing & sanitisation for a buffet restaurant.
Well priced for family if 4
S. D.
Wounderful selection !!! Really enjoyed ourselves!!
h. m.
Great food so many different cuisines!
Great service staff always cheerful and helpful
K. B.
I have been at cosmo Derby few times so far with my family. Every time fully satisfied. My children love this place even though we have to travel around 40 min to get there we still do so. The best thing is that you can try and taste different cousine be adventurous with the food you haven't tried yet
C. S.
Food good and plentiful, on entrance it would have been nice for someone to have smiled and more welcoming, after that was fine.
s. M.
Booked for 6.30 did not get seated until 7. Then was told they couldn't take drink orders at the table so had to queue again at the bar so finally get round to eating about 7.10 and they had ran out of plates so in another queue It was a shame because the food was quite nice in the end.
M. M.
Loads of different foods from various regions and countries all cooked to perfection. If you don't eat much, it's probably not for you as its almost £19 for the all you can eat buffet. Highly recommended
i.
Lots to Asian foods, not much Indian but that's OK because they're almost always inedible in buffets. Ice cream machine, unlimited soft drinks.
C. S.
An excellent evening. Amazing choice of food, top quality, friendly, helpful staff
B. B.
great selection.... food replaced regularly so all nice and hot. price is 18.50 for a weekend which is similar priced to other buffets so all round good experience
K.
Love going here, the food is so amazin and the lighting and design of the restaurant is so great
T. H.
Booked this on Sunday 20th feb for my daughters 17th,as I'd previously booked here for my sons 18th birthday. I was not as impressed with the service on this occasion, it was very rushed and when it was near closing time I felt like they couldn't wait to get us out ,also charged us a service charge of 1 pound extra per person, when the service wasn't good, the only blessing was one member of staff who exceeded his job role by singing happy birthday to my daughter
I. J.
Used to come here once a week with a friend. But now with the jump in prices and the fact they don't do lunch in the week anymore, iv completely stopped going. It's decent but not worth the money they are asking for these days.
K. B.
Excellent service and selection of food to suit all tastes. Would highly recommend.
J. C.
Birthday meal with my children. Food was OK and variable depending on what you chose.
The desserts stood out...very good!
G. V.
Food is always good, staff friendly and helpful. Would recommend.
A. H.
There was 10 of us a family meal and we all said the Food was lovely staff friendly and helpfully , will be going again
J. G.
Great place, lots of different food to choose from, American, Vietnamese, Indian, Italian etc, staff are friendly and helpful, always busy, would go again.
J. L. A.
A really mixed review. Firstly I am really sensitive to gluten and got very ill when eating at Cosmo previously because you were expected to consult a folder of about 40 pages of allergen information which just wasn't practical. I was really pleased to hear therefore that the dishes had been properly labelled at the point of service, meaning I could visit and eat with my son who loves a Chinese which I can't eat. You can appreciate my horror when walking round then to discover that 90% of all the food contained gluten, including all the curries, most of the sushi and the phi bar, none of which traditionally use gluten based cereals. My partner and so has already got food so I resigned myself to not eating as paying £16.99 for salad wasn't really something I wanted to do. Sid the manager was amazing, coming from South Asia he understood the assumptions I had made about the food and organised for the pho chef to cook me a gluten free meal so I could at least eat something, and reduced my personal cost to reflect the lack of choice I had. Amazing service but overall such a shame, as I won't be going back anytime soon with the amount of gluten used which is such a shame because most of the dishes I saw shouldn't incorporate it anyway.
N. W.
I liked it the waiters and staff was brilliant and the food was very good I had mostly prawns and fish and tried the Currys it was good 😃 I will go again thank you very much
A. S.
Love the place, always go away full. Great food and choice. Never been? Whoever not ...
N. W.
Amazing for a great birthday meal you can get whatever you like whether it's chicken tikka masala straight down to a gorgeous steak amazing place
L. P.
Great friendly service. Fresh food and hot. Plenty of staff. Lovely place to go
A. C.
Food was nice however it was very busy and may be a little too busy when getting food. Also kids helping themselves puts me off personally.
A. J.
Good ambience and friendly staff. Food also is good. They don't have car parking, but there's a pay park nearby.
E. L.
When you are really hungry, come here and enjoy.
But if you are after the taste of the food, I can say that there is nothing special. All ordinary.
G. C.
Great staff, amazing selection of food.. just need bigger plates. Xxx
M. B.
Great food but its not necessarily fair that tall children are charged adult prices.
K. G.
Fantastic place for family dining with lots of food choices; curries, pizza, fajitas, salad and LOTS of delicious puddings! The chocolate fountain was a highlight with my kids. Great staff and reasonably priced. Special offers available during certain times, too
J. L.
Great atmosphere foods good but not great would still recommend though
I. L.
Great place to go to try different qusines. Lovely food, friendly staff, awesome cocktails.
G. v. b.
Cosmo Derby was great, staff where helpful and they offer a wide range of dinning options.
Open kitchens looks very clean and tidt
A. B.
Nice place to celebrate birthday, or just have a meal with your partner or family and friends. Big selection of food from around the world
S. M.
Nice food far better than Ming moon in Birmingham, the food at this place wasn't as good as I have had there in the past and the girl at the till was right miserable cow when we as a group all insisted on paying individually, poor girl had to use he brain. The rest of the staff were great though
J. B.
Very nice food and atmosphere, all you can eat friendly staff
S. M. T. a. r.
Best food for your money ever. We absolutely love this place
B. W.
This place surprised me in that the last time I was there it was cramped and not a pleasant place to eat. This time I found it bright, cheerful and plenty of space between the tables, food was great and felt very safe!
D. M.
Great food and variety on offer. Was shown to our seat straight away at 6pm on Friday tho could see a little wait for those arriving when we left at 7.30.
Even better if they keep an eye on the plates (they ran out at one point of square plates), pop (a couple had gone flat) and stock of deserts (the marshmallows had ran out)
A.
I was blown away by this place....seated straight away by friendly happy staff. The food choice was fantastic and catered for just about everyone....they have cool 4 square plates so you can have a pick n mix meal. Maybe 3 main plates and a dessert plate might have been a little too much food but it was all delicious....there beef in gravy is outstanding ❤ I 100% recommend Cosmo 😁
J. Y.
Saturday afternoon buffet! Amazing huge place! Soooooo much verity, really is world food, from a full English to a curry to a lasagne! Really enjoyed! Romantic place, family place, children's party place! Loved it!
A. A.
Nice, great atmosphere, beautiful location, plenty of space, but only 3 stars, as the ramge of food was pathetic, and lots of empty pots on display, which were never refilled in our 2 hour stay.
J. P.
If you love a buffet this place is great. Tonnes of variety and some of the food is surprisingly good quality (for a buffet)
M. P.
Fantastic choice of food from around the world there Chinese is absolutely amazing there dumpings Jiaozi are perfect and there soft filled boa bund wow there Thai and Indian is great to definitely recommend
E. F.
Amazing value for money. Great staff, great food, great venue. A good time had by all.
k. r.
Food was great 👍.Just very busy in the waiting room. Make sure you book a table.
S.
Fantastic! Excellent service with wonderfully polite staff. The food is amazing, after three large plates I'm sorry my stomach isn't bigger so I can taste more flavours.
There is allergen information -everywhere- so you know what you're eating.
When I'm next in Derby I'll definitely be coming back here.
A. R.
Food was lovely staff were helpful. Becky was an absolute star. Great experience
J. H.
Nice place to eat plenty of choice all for one price staff helpful and friendly always very busy
J. S.
Great steak cooked to order, very good variety of hot and cold foods
K. H.
I Love it here and all the different varieties of food you can get
c. m.
First time bringing my parents and they really enjoyed it. I would update your website as I was with 2 over 60's and didn't receive the discount as I was told it only runs Monday-Thursday and the website says Monday-Friday lunch. Thanks
H. P.
Better options at dinner. Love the Ramen and BBQ section. Something for everyone. You can't go wrong
H. G.
FANTASTIC!! We loved the food and the service was outstanding 😊😊 Definitely will be visiting again👍🏼👍🏼

Food Hot.....Amazing Atmosphere.......Staff Working Very Hard........
Extra treat a great amazing someone special to welcome you at the door and greet you with a smile before you enter the main doors ...
Big Thank you to everyone working behind the scenes
(don't listen to all the bad feedback and experience it yourself before judging them)
C. F.
Love this place for the variety of food. Great place to try new foods
J. W.
Great variety of food and drinks, the staff are very friendly, highly recommended
S. V. B.
Love the place good atmosphere good food all round and very good value for money there is so much to choose from A++
S. T.
There's something for everyone reminds me of holidays all inclusive but better can't wait to go back
P. M.
I'd not been here for a couple of years but it's still as I remember it. If you like a bit of everything then this is the place for you. The most noticeable thing was the fact that the place wasn't as full as I'd expected. However, bearing in mind what we're going through we're all going through currently with COVID then it probably wasn't a surprise.
Y. W.
The food is delicious, and you will have many choice, but there are so many people crowded. I have no reservation since I am going alone. If you need a lot of people to have dinner, you’d better book in advance.
S. O.
One of the best all you can eats 🙏 can't complain for the price 👌
L. M.
Great food, lunchtime price is really good, were seated within a few minuites and the staff were accomodating.
m. j.
Good all you can eat buffet with variety of dishes. Loved teppanyaki style counter all the dishes served here was delicious. Worth every quid . Recommended if you are too hungry and don't mind belly fat. Enjoy.
C. I.
Food good plenty of choice and staff very helpful
M. W.
Really enjoyed our visit. Great food.
M. T.
Not the best Cosmos I have ever been to. Not much selection at all, most food cold and desserts non-existent.
T. J.
Staff friendly, food would of been better but it was all cold. The seating area had AC on even though we kept asking for them to switch off, so it was a very cold experience.
H. S.
Great food, great service, and amazing layout! Perfect place for a family get together or a birthday meal out (provide proof of date of birth and the birthday person gets their meal for free) food for every occasion and something different to satisfy everyone's taste buds!
A. S.
Great and wonderful birthday meal. Food very fresh
6 years later
We visited Easter Sunday which was busier. Today was disappointing, firstly kids prices gone up. Fruit of shoot for kids are the small 200ml ones, drinks came after first plate eaten. More empty food stations today. We regularly visit, however today wasnt the usual high standard we've come to expect
N.
Definitely worth a visit for the money value. We went today a table of 6. 3 adults a 10 year old 11 year old and 20mnth old baby all with a soft drink came to £46.00. Very nice family meal out
B. B.
Good selection of food. Good service by clearing plates quickly when finished. No wait time when we went just before dinner time however it did get quite busy while we were there.
A. P.
The queue moved quickly for getting you seated. We were served very quickly for drinks. All of the food was easy accessible and hot with a varied choice. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit.
L. C.
Excellent place for food, they have
Chinese,
Sushi,
Grill (steak, salmon, squid etc cooked to order),
Indian,
Mexican,
British,
American,
Salad,
Noodle bar,
Fresh fruit,
Lots of desserts, sweets chocolate fountain, marshmallows
And lots of drinks to choose from. Something for everyone here.
Actually decent quality food too. I have been to a few world buffets which have lots of quantity but no quality. Cosmos seem to have cracked the balance.
One thing I would suggest is topping up the food more often as a couple of dishes I went to such as chicken tikka massala was empty.
Thanks
Liam
C. L.
It's ok. Lack of staff at the noodle station, had to wait ages to get their attention.
J. P.
Exactly what you'd expect with a buffet, just wish there was an Italian section with 5/6 different pizzas and 4/5 pasta dishes as there's only the pasta included with the salad bar and 3 pizzas near the kids section
C. N.
We had a lovely lunch here today but the Facebook said prizes were being given by the super heroes outside but it was a unicorn and they had no prizes which was disappointing as we told the kids beforehand. However the food was nice and much better than Wolverhampton branch and the restaurant very clean and tidy. Staff are all friendly my daughter burnt her hand on the hot dishes and they got her an ice pack and came over to apologise. We had a nice meal overall.
r. m.
Beautiful place, lovely staff, the food wow, a variety to choose from. Only set back tables were too close together, couldn't move my chair without bumping into the person behind me
A. G.
Good selection of food including English, Italian, Chinese and Indian. We were superbly looked after by Sid who is a credit to the company. Looking forward to returning.
T. n.
I remeber going here, great sevice,Very kind good quality food.Best to the soul of these foods.
A. C.
I don’t particularly like buffet restaurants, but this one is really good. Especially on weekends and evening sittings. Served a wide range of most popular foods. I went to the derby Cosmo.
R. r.
Delicious world food. Nice staff and a great variety. Coming here in a monthly basis.
H. W.
We've always enjoyed cosmos but on this visit the organisation on arrival was dreadful with a large number of mixed groups waiting around to be seated and no sign of organisation. The food was good as usual but the drinks we ordered on arrival didn't show up until after we had cleared our plates for the first course. We do hope they get back up to the standard we have had in the past.
D.
Best chinese buffet I have had, everything is authentic loads of choice of dishes and couple different cuisines wish they had one in Leicester.
It's a nice place to go no hassle. Good environment and service.
J. L.
Excellent choices and cooked properly.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
Most certainly will return again..
B. M. (.
Cons
Japanese food was burned, even after asking the guy stop cooking the stake... He was more interested on taking pictures of his sushi...
Curry was far from good
Italian was pretty much just pizza, and not even round pizza it was in a tray.
Pros
Sushi was nice... But to much rice.
Chinese food was good
A clear label of allergents
Fairly cheap if you like to eat a lot
Lots of staff
Quite a few deserts
M. R.
This is the best Buffett place in Derby. The staff are very polite, the service was amazing. Food was decent. Very good ambience
M. H.
Once again a wonderful time with nice food to match. Pleasant staff and brilliant atmosphere.
a. t. (.
Fantastic place, very happy atmosphere. We went their for our sons birthday party with family and friends and it was great. Highly recommended.
n. c.
Fast service and lots of staff around to help clear plates up and assist if needed.
S. G.
Came here with my partner and kids and Despite being fully booked they were very accommodating and the service was excellent. Amazing atmosphere and still derby's best. Service 5* and food 5* would recommend to anyone
G. M.
Good place with great selection of food just be careful of the parking
M. T.
Jack of all trades moderate
At all but a good choice if people with different tastes are eating
F. C.
Good sushi selection, you can ask for live cooking of salmon, stake, squid and others. Good place to dine with family and friends.
E. T. (.
Omg I loved this place and can't wait to visit Darby again just to go here.
R. S.
Good variety of cuisines. Something for everyone.
m. h.
Brilliant service. Last booking of the evening.
The gentleman named "SID" was brilliant, nothing was too much trouble, he understood that we had the very last booking at that we only had just over an hour to eat. We were I a group of four and he had loads of time to chat to us to make us feel comfortable, we spoke about his home in Nepal and about the current flight situation. The food was great, and not too massive of a reduction in the current climate. Its the first time we have been to the Derby restaurant, as we live in Cleethorpes, but will be going back again. We'll done Sid and the team!!
B. H.
The place looks really nice, but the food is not that great. You do not have a lot to choose from, and is tasty. ☹️
J. M.
Great selection of food and amazing teppanyaki
O. O.
Quality of food is outstanding. I love buffet dining due to the fact that you can try multiple dishes as many times as you want. Staff is friendly and professional.
C. L.
Good choices of food but a bit hit and miss as to how hot it was
A. F.
Can't really complain. Its an all you can eat buffet. One of my favourites 😍
O. U.
Superb experience @Cosmo Derby. Celebrated my FILs birthday and staff accommodated us well, including sparing us more time to finish the cake cutting. Will be back
V. J.
Service at this place is top notch, very pleasant and courteous staff. The food selection is great, I personally love the tepennayaki and the Chinese sections here
I. A.
A great place in the heart of Derby, my family enjoyed every moment in there
l. a. K.
Nice and delicious food.
C. F.
Went on a weekend at lunch time. Very attentive and polite staff, place is very clean. Only reason for the 4 stars was the limited amount of options compared to when I have been in an evening.
C. L.
Great place
Tad expensive. But the food is amazing and it's all clean. The service is wonderful and always greated with a smile. Will definitely go again
L. W.
Lovely meal always enjoy and my girls love it
C. W.
First visit and really enjoyed the food. Was gutted not see the Indian cooking station was not open. The ramen was also bland.
However, the duck was to die for. And the rest of the food was really enjoyable.
Will visit again and hope to see some fresh chicken tikka
F. L. R.
Not to bad good selection of foods at a fair price

its good, really friendly staff, there's nothing wrong with it at all, personally I miss the bottomless drinks they had and there used to be more variety in foods, there is still more than enough there is lots of different things to chose from
R. H.
A decent selection of food. Unfortunately, most of it wasn't hot which let it down.
N.
Brilliant customer service from all that work there. Plates are removed promptly and the food is always hot. Been there twice. Would definitely recommend. For me probably better service than Pan Asia.
J. C.
Always my go to for quality buffet love it 💗💗
A. D.
Very nice and enjoyable. Best cosmo we've been
V. E. G. T. c.
I enjoyed the food as did my children and wife ☺ we received great service whilst there and was seated very quickly without booking a table was only on a Wednesday evening but still busy
V. B.
Been here lots of times ,always fresh , plenty of choice and not bland like some places , live cooking stations want hot fresh cooked food , something for every taste , and bottomless soft drinks are brilliant value , all staff are very friendly and helpful.
C. W.
Nice restaurant a little expensive if you have a big group. Great choice too.
D. S.
This has to be the best buffet ever
The selection of food is amazing and can cater for all even the pickiest eaters.
The chef’s presentation of fresh cook food at the different stations is amazing.
Puddings leave lots of room for them
I have tried them all and oh days the best ever
Something for kids as well
Good staff
Hopefully see you all soon 👍🏻
Discount for armed forces and emergency staff
S. S.
Lots of different food and puddings well worth the money
M. O.
Great experience, food very good and fresh. It's much better than before pandemic. Much better layout, more spaces in between tables.
J. M.
Good choice of different cuisines. Some dishes are a little ropey but when you're serving that many options it's to be expected. Amazing value for money
J. Y.
Great selection, equally loved by kids and adults.
G. M.
Went for the 2nd time yesterday and they gave us 25% off the bill because we arrived quite late, which we weren't expecting but it was a nice gesture.
I really like the food and my daughter likes all the variety as well, can't fault it
c. n.
Pleasantly surprised with the staff, freshness and diversity of the food. Good deal on Sunday afternoon £15.99 "all you can eat" drinks not included.
C. M.
Always enjoy the cosmo effect!!, staff are really friendly, helpful and polite.
L. S.
All you can eat buffet, the food is delicious
K. S.
Alot better than last few visits ❤👍
j. w.
Considering the restrictions that are in place for all places to eat this was a really enjoyable experience. Staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful. Had a lovely few hours with my family.
G. G.
Buffet style restaurant for an affordable price. Due to Covid restriction, they are well organised, clear one way path within the restaurant, hand sanitizer, gloves, etc. Tasty foods. The only negative thing is the unlimited soft drink is not provided.
R. B.
Good choice of world foods but could be hotter.
Only lager for sale and no bitter and limited supply of spirits
B. H.
Fantastic choice of food and good quality.
R. M.
Cosmos Derby is a venue that never let's you down. The staff can't do enough, the food selection is excellent and tastes phenomenal. Always a pleasure to go and will always be a firm favourite for the wife and I. If stuck for somewhere to go, Cosmos Derby is the place to be
S. t.
Good food and service . We had a nice family meal
R. M.
Food was so tasty and such a good selection for our family and the kids especially
A. G.
Lovely clean restaurant with a good choice of foods. Covid measures are in place and disposable gloves are provided. We went in the day and based on previous visits, the daytime buffet price which used to be cheaper now matches the evening prices.
C. T.
Very enjoyable night at Cosmo. All the food was lovely and Abigail was wonderful and lovely towards us. Made us feel very welcomed. Definitely recommend
a. d.
Good experience but on a Saturday it's very busy
V. H.
My children love it here. They love food anyway but They get to try different foods which they love to do. Staff are friendly and attentive.
J. T.
My first time eating out since first lockdown
Felt safe here , good food excellent service
Well done to the management for making the visit enjoyable and relaxing , I will be returning to the cosmo Derby .
r.
Visited today on a Sunday evening, wasn't too busy. A girl named ash was helping us was wonderful she got us seated quickly and cleared our plates quickly as well.
D. 4.
You got almost every kind of food there is. It looks so nice and fancy but with a great price. Staff are really nice and most of the food is so good. Every time I go there, I'm never upset with anything. If I lived around the area I would go in there everyday. I would say the best buffet in England.
E. L.
Good range of food to cover most tastes. It was very busy on the Saturday evening when we visited. There were lots of buffet dishes, but probably 50% were not refilled at any time so a little disappointing because I was unable to taste what I wanted. On arrival we were given a time that we must leave by! So it felt a little impersonal. Despite that Peter out waiter was exceptionally good.
A.
The choice of food is 100% spectacular. So many foods & drinks to choose from (from many countries' cuisine). Staff are friendly & helpful. Food is awesome! Will be coming back many times soon😁👍!
K. S.
Cheap and cheerful food. Clean and efficient staff
d.
Whilst initially sceptical from the price of £17pp it was actually really good. The variety of food was great and the quality was worth the price. It's not somewhere I would go often but is a good place to go when everyone wants different things. Would be good for a work meal as well. I also liked that they will constantly take your dirty plate, seems trivial but I enjoyed that little touch 😄
T. M.
Amazing place to dine with friends and family. Food is amazing and there is a variety to cboose from. Best advise is to come with an empty stomach!
E. P.
Visited for my friends daughters hen do. Food was lovely. Plenty of choice. Went at dinner, 2 pm booking. The front desk staff who you pay for drinks and your meal needs customer service training. No payment by card for drinks unless over 10.00.
Ask over 3 times how many was booked on... Oh dont want to lose any profit.
Rude and so very money orientated. Food good. Atmosphere none
C. P.
Good for a fill up if you're hungry. Much better choice in the evening but then you pay more of course. Staff are friendly though and free top ups on ice water available if you want to keep the cost down. Would definitely give it a try. It's marmite, you either like it or don't? We do occasionally.
j.
Really enjoyed our meal with you today for my sons birthday 🎂 and your staff are so friendly and welcoming thankyou
S. K.
Food was great 😋 and a decent selection, staff were really friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit.
L. T.
I like it here. There is a huge choice of foods and the service is very good.
The only down side is that it is not suitable for disabled people, the aisles are too narrow to manoeuvre without catching other customers chairs or their belongings that are left on the ground.
And the tables are all too long, this means that you are not able to speak to the entire party of people without shouting.
Every time I visit here, there are at least 12-15 of us.
But for smaller parties without wheelchair users or pushchairs this place is perfect.
C. B.
Great selection of food, huge restaurant, recommend booking in advance for large groups, check their website for discounts and offers.
J. R.
Fantastic staff! Nothing was any trouble at all. The food was fresh and cooked to a very high standard. The whole experience for our mothers birthday was brilliant and we would recommend Cosmo to anyone for a nice night out.
S. J.
Food was lovely, even for fussy kids, but the price was ridiculously expensive for a Sunday afternoon
S. T.
The menu has been reduced esp the desserts which was nearly empty at 7.30pm.the bottom less drinks have been replaced with a jug.
Also we did not get the 20 per cent off as promised.
D. C.
Very nice and helpful personal. Large selection of dishes of different kinds. You can choose sweet, salty foods, but also different kinds of meat. I particularly recommend to people who eat a lot, for example to large groups of people. However, make sure there is a free table for many people in advance. :)
E. O.
Friends took me there for lunch as it was my birthday. I only agreed because I like the Eaton mess desert. Unfortunately it isn't served at lunch time. Only in the evenings along with some other dishes when the price of entry to the buffet is more expensive.....disappointing. the various dishes were enjoyable. Particularly the Indian dishes. Staff were attentive and friendly.
E.
Love this place. Get a little over whelmed as too much choice. Left feeling cheated as felt didn't eat enough. 😂 but seriously- the food is good quality and we'll presented. Although it gets very busy it appears clean and the toilets were OK. If dinning with large groups just keep an eye on the bill as there were some mistakes made which they put right so cant really fault them on that. Will definitely go back! Staff are very polite and helpful.
R. P.
A thoroughly lovely experience this afternoon, after the main lunch rush and before the evening meal melèe... A few noisy children (and parents) but when we asked to be sat away from them the staff were very happy to help. The staff were exceptional, a great team.
As always the food was lovely, lots of it with some new additions, like the sweet and sour squid, which I could eat buckets of.
Thank you all
P. P.
We've been here 4 times and really enjoy it. We love the great selection of food to suit many different tastes. It can get very busy and noisy. Depending on where you are seated it can be a little cramped. There are steps to some seated areas and the flooring can feel a little slippery. Its a good family eating out place.
C. S.
My daughter has allergies and they were extremely helpful when showing me what she could and could not eat on all of the buffets. Chef came out of the kitchen just to show us around. Very impressed. Well decorated restaurant. Very tastey food and generally clean.
P. P.
Lovely food and friendly staff.
J. C.
Brilliant food, brilliant service, brilliant atmosphere, very reasonable prices. can't recommend enough
a. s.
Very good atmosphere and aesthetic, but the food is just passable.
When we first entered the staff were helpful and very prompt in helping us to get a table as well as explaining how it all works.
The food however was not as nice as I would have expected with quite a bit of it being quite bland I am vegetarian so I cannot speak for any meat dishes.
Overall it was an amazing experience only marred by the food
N. F.
Good choice of food, it is mostly fresh and tasty. Fresh grill is excruciatingly slow.
Food quality and choice is degrading over the past couple of years.
Chinese and Indian usually very good.
They make you wait for a long time before you can go to your table, even though there are plenty spaces available (so they want to make this place to look like exclusive and ultra busy) really? it is buffet :D
A. W.
Fantastic food at a fantastic price! Staff are friendly and food is proper restaurant standard but buffet style. Receptionist was extremely kind and even held our reservation when we got caught in traffic. Have visited multiple times on special occasions and just in general. My partner is a vegetarian and also had a lot of selection of food.
Would recommend to anyone
E. M.
Me and my family were shopping and we were undecided where to eat so we thought we would give Cosmo a try we were pleasantly surprised by how much choice there was which was great as a family we all like different foods. i had sushi which tasted really good. kids opted for pizza and chicken nuggets my sister had what was close to a roast dinner which he loved he couldn't get enough of the cheesy mash he helped himself to 4 helpings i tried a bit of everything why not haha all was lovely and food was hot which was good and everything is labelled so you know what your eating.staff are friendly and helpful making sure our plates were taken as soon as we had finished with them. kids had desert but i was too full but was a lot of choice to choose from and they where happy all in all definitely glad we chose to eat here.
T. H.
Went there to celebrate birthday... Amazing staff, they even joined in to sing happy birthday!! The management also brilliant!
A. G.
Great variety of food mains and desserts
B. L.
Awesome . If you like getting a alot for to your money Cosmo definitely delivers on that a great selection of food for you to choose from and help and friendly staff never had a bad time at the derby restaurant
S. W.
I've not been for a while and it's changed, the food choice was nowhere near as good as it used to be, plus it just looked a bit run down and scruffy, It's a shame because we have had some good nights out here in the past. Oh and the beer choice was very poor? They used to stock derby brewing company but all that was available was larger or punk IPA at stupid high prices.
C. M.
Celebrated my daughters 18th birthday here, have to say the staff was amazing and friendly they made the celebrations so memorable for us all that visited. The food is great too so many dishes to suit all taste buds.
M. T.
First time here. The eat all you want buffet is good value with a good selection of images to try. There were a few birthdays in when I went, and the staff were kept busy singing happy birthday. Only downside was that as it's help yourself people had sifted the chicken out and left the vegetables so not much chicken in the chicken curry. Otherwise good value and nice food.
E. S.
Nice grill, there wasn't a large number of variety like pre-covid but still enjoyable. Staffs were nice and prompt.
R. K.
Good variety of dishes, from a range of countries, most of which is fresh, staff are warm, friendly, helpful and welcoming, the restaurant is mainly clean, tidy and well presented, the bar has a good range of drinks and an option for refillable soft drinks ideal for the children and those of us who don't drink alcohol. The dessert section has a nice range of mainly bite size portions great to mix n match and again great for children to try different things, there is also an ice-cream machine with cones and individual pots of ice cream moose. Great value for money for a different choice.
H. F.
The buffet here is worth the money spent!
S. F.
Amazing place booked a table for 5 2 adults and 3 children. It was are son's birthday and online had an offer so he got his meal free (*you do have to prove it's your birthday with passport or something). That was fine with us. Also bottomless soft drinks was amazing great idea kids loved it and so did we as we all know one drink is never enough so this was great. We got there at 6 was busy already you are limited to 2 hours just so you don't sit there all night to be fair to them. Staff was great we said it was are first time so waitress explained everything and took drinks order. Throughout the meal they kept coming over and checking and clearing away. Everything was really clean and well stocked food was lovely and loads to choose from something for everyone amazing place
A. K.
Awesome place, great food, lots to chose from. Slightly overpriced on young children that bearly eat anything but I have three children and two of them don't eat more than one tiny plate of food but still get charged the same as a child four years older that eats his weight in dinner and dessert. Overall tho very nice experience, clean, helpful staff, quick plate removal, tapeniaki was lovely but on at least on a busy Saturday evening there should definately be more than one chef at this counter as I have at some point stood for over twenty minutes before being served.
f.
Tasty with lots of choice for all the family. Great value if you go on a weekday lunch. One tine there was a choclate fountain however when we went back a few months later there wasn't one on which is a shame. It's big with plenty of space and good drink choices. We wish we lived closer to one!
a. s.
Friendly helpful staff. Food amazing loads of choices. Atmosphere very good. First visit there would definitely go again. Only downside it was slightly noisy from newly installed clean air system but didn't affect our enjoyment.
S. s.
Great food, all freshly cooked, it was very busy, but could get to the food easily enough. My only gripe was the cost of the drinks. £11 for 1 pint of San Miguel and a single G&T. Shocking!
N.
I didn't personally like the ambience. Some Food items are great. Three actions for the bar inside the restaurant : 1.Train the staff on available brands. 2. Improve their communication skills. 3. Reduce the price by 20 to 30 percent, which is still a bit on the higher side.
A. E.
Brilliant. I am on keto diet- food there is great. Ideal for person who have various diets
j. b.
Pros: excellent variety and choice of food even for our fussy counterparts. Refillable soft drinks means you ain't spending a fortune on staying hydrated whilst trying to beat the buffet. Nice layout creates a good atmosphere good work considering how on demand this place is.
Cons: I vomited my food back up within an hour of leaving the only justifiable thing I could put it down to was I eaten a funny tasting mussel and was the only one in my party that tried them so id say avoid high risk foods if your stomach ain't the best. Last con is the floor is still sticky like a nightclub
V. M.
Loved this place! So much choice but please don't fill your plates and then leave the food because it has to go in the bin. You can go back for more! I recommend Cosmo because the choice is phenomenal and cooked to high standards. No hygiene issues apparent either. Go for it, enjoy!
A. N.
I was there more than 5 Times. And All the Time service was great..
Only one Thing what I doesn't like is a Limited time when you booking a Table.
s. m.
Food is good however lunch menu is much cheaper than dinner. But still its value for money. Mostly its crowded so not ideal of u are after a quiet and private space. There is no free car park so you have to use the near by paid car park. Generally neat
A. R.
It was quite nice, big selection
E. C.
There used to be more choice pre covid even though it has fully opened again now.
Very busy but staff were friendly & the cleanliness was spot on
d. s.
Generally have a good meal here. Personally wouldn't go at lunch time again but the night time menu is spot on. Staff seem better and more attentive recently so that's a definite plus for the place. Good value and great if your party has mixed tastes.
C. P.
Loved the variety of food.
However it seems that the menu is fixed and just refilled.it gets bored after few visits.
I wish they experiment with new dishes. At least try a new region cousine to keep the interest going. Example themed week , sea food special, Korean....etc.
H. J.
Some bits where nice, some bits just very average, the Chinese station and desserts are probably the best bits...but who doesn't love a Chinese and cake?!
C. A.
Delicious food from around the world for any taste
M. F.
The Indian, Chinese, Italian and English styles of food were great. Found some sponge puddings to be dry. Ice cream is great especially with the sauce and toppings. Great service from Alexander, very friendly. Although it got a bit busy later on in the evening there was no problem with finding food to eat. Great to come out for birthdays and other special events. Even though the prices can be seen as high, you can get the most out of your money if you have a big appetite.
T. H.
I have visited Derby eatery now on two occasions once for my birthday in October, and again to treat my children just this weekend as I found the experience so lovely. The staff are attentive and inviting and the food has been delicious each visit. There is so much cuisine to choose from. My children have variable dietary requirements but were both able to sample many foods to satisfy their needs and thoroughly enjoyed dining for their first visit to cosmo. We had a great time and although it takes us around 40 mins travel time it is well worth it. This has become our favourite eatery as a family. See you again very soon x
A. K.
Food good, with quick efficient service.
T. H.
Not a great deal of choice. The giant baby was a little unnecessary...
D. C.
Good food, not the best selection but quickly replenished. Very busy at the weekend.
A. B.
Cosmo is a place that I love. The staff are amazing and caring. The atmosphere is so good and makes you feel right at home. But above all the food is amazing and so delicious. I can not fault it. One of the best places for group meals be that family meals or work dues. If you haven't been get yourself down there and tingle your tastebuds.
J. C.
Didn't seem alot of options for a Sunday, Nottingham one is better but it might be due to Covid so not scored lower than 3 stars
M. H.
This has to be my favourite all-you-can-eat restraunt I have been too. I have been here multiple times and the staff are wonderful and helpful. The chefs are just as lovely and their cooking is incredible!
Personally, the dumplings are my personal favourite.
a. d.
Had a great laugh with my friends thanks for having us
П. К.
It's a great place to spend time with your family , taste new food and drinks , great buffet nice staff always ready to help you always with smile , fast service fast cleaning the tables, also they offer lots of beers/alcohol. There's one thing that I don't like and it's this that you got just an hour and half for eat. In the busiest hours they give you even hour and quarter. But still highly recommend ! Hope you guys enjoy the food and lots of smile from here Cheers 😎
Forgot to mention that the food is Chinese,Indian, Mexican, European, English, Asian, surf and turf and lots of desserts !!
Enjoy!
M. S.
Good selection of world cuisine at a reasonable price. Usually something a bit different to try. Nothing is amazing but it's all good on the whole. My wife thinks there should be better signage for spicy foods as 2 dishes were too hot for her.
Puddings are fairly bland but there is good choice. Eaton mess and apple crumble usually go down well.
K. F.
The food was brilliant, staff could not do enough and fair prices, cheap soft drinks
C. H.
It is a nice place. The food is food. Nothing special on any serving area. Staff warm and friendly. Never had any issues with being seated or making a booking. Don't go too often because like I said the food is just food. Tend to go with folk that like a selection of cuisines - it's just easier
D. D.
It is a nice place to have a meal
V. M.
Besides the fact that they ask you to wear a mask which is kind of stupid, everything was great. Clean, family friendly, fresh food.
S. T.
Great selection of food. I like that when we started our deserts a member of staff asked us if we wanted tea or coffee. We went at 6pm Friday and it seemed to get very busy shortly after. We had already booked a table so didn't have to wait at all.
J. K.
Food and seating and serving sizes are good but it's so incredibly loud on busy days that you can barely hear yourself think. Also food is cheap but drinks are crazy expensive for what they are (bottomless are OK) and they aren't very good. It's great for groups of people with hefty appetites though. Get ready for tummy troubles, it's not the quality of the food that causes it, it's the amount of food that does.
H. S.
Lovely food, great to be able to try new things. Staff attentive. Expensive to take children though. 14 year old ate not even the equivalent of a full portion plus one ice pop but because of his height we had to pay adult price
E. C.
We've been a few times and it's been brilliant, but tonight was my birthday and my husband booked for 8pm, we were taken to our table but no-one came to take our drinks order. Had we had known beforehand that by 8.30 alot of the food would be unavailable we would not have booked at this time of night. We did not have the choice we should have had, most of the sweets had gone so we were left with ice-cream with the odd cake choice here and there, most of the serving implements had been taken away so no way of putting it onto the plate. We felt very rushed it was not a relaxed evening.
Overall we were a bit disappointed.
I think that as not everything is available after 8.30pm the price should not be the same full price.
N. H. b.
Food was lovely. However you only get an hour and half to eat which we felt wasn't long enough. Good selection of food, mostly Asian and Indian cuisine. The desserts were lovely.
L. B.
Amazing place. Such a good range of food. You won't be disappointed. Very busy place so it is best to book. Can be quite loud but it is worth it. Would recommend to anyone. Also the price is very good as it is all you can eat.
K. S.
The food is nice and lots of different choices to eat and that includes pudding. The staff are nice but the one problem I have is that there is no changing room to change a child's nappy. I had to change my daughter who had solid her nappy in the women's toilets on the changing table and everyone who was coming and going in the toilets was looking at my daughter while I was changing her nappy. They need a changing room where there is privacy to change children.
M. A.
Lovely freshly made steak! Best buffet in derby.
D. H.
A family friendly food place popular with our son who can eat an entire horse and still have room for pudding. Not fine dining, but a massive selection of food styles with something to please virtually everyone. Large and open plan, not cozy, but you don't go here for cozy! Staff are always very polite and helpful.
J. P.
During the week it's 8.99 per person and like 3.10 I believe for a bottomless drink. With all you can eat from different parts of the world. It easily pays for itself. Definitely worth a try. Sometimes you need to make reservations as they're usually busy. Lunch during the week is most affordable. Evenings and weekends are more expensive.
J. L.
Lovely Chinese foods there and a nice selection off sushi, nice curry too. The pizza was nice enjoyed the desserts. All I Can say is the meats where a little cold specially the chicken, they added a little too much salt to my prawns but the garlic butter was beaut with it. Other than that nice clean place and staff always around to help out. Oh yeah also, icecream just reminds me of mcds milkshakes. So so nice. Aha. I'll say 4 star as the price is average under 60quid for a family of 3. Nice evening out. 😄 can't moan alot. 👌🏻
A. d.
I stuck mainly to the Asian cuisine which was amazing. Service was way to rush or the drinks, I hadn't even sat down and there was a waitress waiting to take my drinks order at the table. As always buffet places can be a hit or miss. This was a solid dining place.
I. G.
Reminds me of an all inclusive holiday hotel, where everyone is rushing and clambering over each other to get food. Saturday night around 9pm and hardly any stuff left and not replenished. Positive is you can eat as much as you like (if you can) for one price, but for £17pp I think could get a better meal elsewhere.
S. M.
Absolutely great. Really enjoyed the food. Such a diverse selection. Really good. Only minor things stopping a 5. Got the impression some staff didn't know english. Always a challenge asking for things. Also interior steps need a hand rail for people with disability or Injury.
P. W.
I can't really fault this place, the food is always very good and the staff are courteous. It's family friendly, clean and we'll presented. For an eat-what-you-like place, it's pretty great.
R. M.
Good food, good service would highly recommend, you get a great amount of choice for a good price and it is very welcoming, not made to feel rushed, food looks good and no complaints from any of my friends that go with me. Will be back again.
C. C.
Great selection of asian food at great value (esp lunchtime). Staff are polite enough despite there always being a large number of plebs with unruly kids running around. Seemed fairly clean for a buffet but maybe that's just due to to the dark lighting. Recommended
p. g.
If it are looking for a variety of dishes, this restaurant is ok. Their noodles are good. But their Indian food is disastrous except naan bread. No sense of the spices....overwhelming smell and blanch in taste, that's how I define their Indian curries...they should stop serving Indian food altogether.
D. A.
A range of food to rival another other and amicable staff service to go with it. I also admire that the variaties on offer differ slightly between branches - it's always great fun if you don't necessarily know what to expect when you step inside.
A. M.
Good selection, not the gest quality and not particularly cheap, but a nice place for a group to meet up.
J. S.
Excellent range of food. Excellent service. Not rushed at all.
R. S.
Lots of varieties to choose. It caters for all tastes
Love the new lay out. If you are looking for quiet intimate meal this is not the place. Good for group, birthdays etc. Would I go again. Yes!
R. C.
Food is fresh. They were following Covid protocol and the resto is safe. Bring your family and friends
M. A.
£12.99 and all you can eat from a very wide selection.
Arrived at 4pm on a Sunday afternoon and we soon shown to a table for 6. Drinks order taken by a very pleasant young lady who explained how it all worked. Nice salad selection to start followed by a mind boggling choice. Some was excellent, some was average but overall for the money - good value.
With the food so reasonably priced I was expecting to be stung for drinks but they were reasonable too - £3.10 for a pint of San Miguel.
Nice friendly helpful staff rounded off a very pleasant couple of hours.
See you again.
S. S.
I visited COSMO for the first time on a Saturday a week ago and I have to say the food was lovely. As a disabled person I went in via a side entrance which I didn't mind as it made a change from entrances the wheelchair can't fit through without embarrassment or feeling like there's a sign on me saying coming through look at all the disruption of moving tables and dining people. Overall my family and I enjoyed our evening very much and experienced a taste of Asia. we are planning to go again.
G. M.
Feeling hungry? You better be, because this is all you can eat, or rather 'eat all you like'. Same thing in my book. It can get incredibly busy, even on week nights. This kind of pile the food high philosophy works better for some cuisines than others. Indian and Chinese - excellent, but English style roast dinner, not so much. Desserts are good and there's plenty of choice. Food is generally decent quality, although there are some exceptions. And please people, stick to one type of food on a plate. You see some folk with like a dollop of curry and a slice of pizza poking out from underneath. Theme each plate and make multiple visits, that's my strategy. There's no rush. Drink choices are alright - bottomless soft drink is a good option, half decent selection of beers, and good tea options if that floats your boat.
This isn't romantic. This isn't a sophisticated and relaxing dining experience. But sometimes you just get that hankering.
l. w.
Wide selection of food. Indian Thai and Chinese was excellent quality, i found the rest a bit lacking in quality. My little ones loved the different ice creams and desserts.
The restaurant its self I found very loud and busy, no ambiance or privacy.
K. S.
Food amazing. Only issue is transporting it when you have mobility issues. Not come up with any suggestions to overcome this yet but will keep thinking as I really enjoy the fantastic worldly selection of food at Cosmo.
D. D.
First visit and I was really impressed. The staff was attentive taking empty plates away, the food was good quality very good choice the restaurant decor was really nice and to my taste value good quality food with a massive choice I will be returning in future for a family outing.
T. L.
Definitely cheap but struggled with the cheerful.
The front of house staff are amicable enough and while I don't expect the serving staff to get me with effusive platitudes and hugs I do expert them to get eye contract with me and in the case of the pho section acknowledge at least my existence if my order is too much of a demand.
The variety of dishes is getting smaller each visit especially the deserts. The strawberry cheesecake had a lot in common both taste and texture with Angel Delight.
Saying that lunch and a large pot of Jasmine tea for less than a tenner isn't bad but, could be a bit more varied.

Very nice place. If you go there to eat. Stuff seems to be a bit stiff. But than their wages probably doesn't motivate them enough. There are better places than Cosmo but this one is worth trying it out. For extra money you'll get your usual drinks there. Could be more 🍰 desserts but that's my personal opinion

As far as these "Jack of all trades" dining experiences go, it was good.

Food was OK & well priced however not very organised

Went during dinner. Don't get the stake they make. It is too dry although they never asked how well done

Disappointing! There wasn't a wide variety of food options and a lot of the food weren't replenished there was also no bottomless sodas being served so for the amount we paid which was about £16 pp it seemed expensive.

Love this place. So much on offer. Service bit slow taking plates away but suppose you got to expect that on a Saturday night n with a table of 6 ! Cant really socialise because you up and down at different times

Really good selection of food, really tasty. Had to wait 20 minutes for a table. Unsure why as when we went through there was a number of empty tables. Also wasn't explained where the refillable drink stations were. Price was quite reasonable and some of the food stations prepared your item fresh.

Gorgeous food as always

Loved it. Very good range and choice of food. Nice also to get food cooked as you wait. Very good service. Loved the atmosphere and lighting. Shame you're a 2 hour trip away

Absolutely love this place. Great food, lots of choice and value for money. Only problem is I tend to eat too much there. It just all looks and tastes so good.

I went on a Tuesday night with a bunch of friends, and I have to say the interior is wonderful. Light, modern and when you get a glimpse of the two multi-tiered chocolate fountains (one for milk and another for white), you feel like you've entered food heaven. £15 spent on an all you can eat and drink (though you can only have soft drinks). Most of the 'all you can drink' drinks were not branded, nothing more than just 'Premium Cola' and 'Diet Lemonade', if I remember correctly the only drink that was branded was Vimto, but all the drinks still tasted pretty good.
Walking up the isle to get my food, I noticed an impressive selection of foods: Indian, Japanese, Chinese, American etc. This is where the place lost a star, the food - is okay. I think they've spent too much time on quantity rather than quality. Don't get me wrong, it's much better than you find in you local chip shop but it's not "great" rather "Average". However, the pudding saved it - fruit, cake, chocolate, ice cream, pancakes the lot. It was pretty damn good.
Overall, I would recommend Cosmo to anyone. The only thing I would say though is that they need to sort out those glass doors! (You'll see what I mean, when you visit).

Amazing restaurant, had a great experience there and got a free entry as it was my birthday. I'd usually say "definitely would come again" however I believe if I come again in the space of a month or two, I'll end up with CHD! Lovely food and Venu also.

Came with my niece and we both agreed very good place. Staff were very nice for lunch time menu 7.99 each this was week day was plenty to choose from also offer unlimited drinks. Evening menu even more choices but more expensive. Plenty of starters, mains even desserts to choose from. All dishes were very good, the best dessert for all u can eat Chinese ive been to. Did think some dishes were little strange to find in there though I did expect English food but seem like u had stuff for full English available wiv bacon and sausages, beans etc first time I've seen that before. I didn't choose to eat that I was there for Chinese food but suppose those who like English food and not so much Chinese or indian would have loved it. Would happily recommend and return. This is great for fussy kids too who like chips and nuggets etc overall a place for everyone taste I'd say.

Decent, but certain foods missing otherwise would have been 5 stars

Lots of good food from around the world (the sushi/tapenyaki is my favourite). Kind of a weird set up ,you pay a set amount first then are seated ,you don't really get a choice where you're seated. If you want drinks you pay extra for them at the bar. Plates are at the buffet ,and plates are quickly taken from you once you've finished your food .very good value for money.

Fantastic! Go hungry, but, a word of advice - do not fast/starve yourself beforehand. A small, emphasis, small amount of food eaten during the day you visit will enable you to enjoy and eat, more.
Second advisory, use small plates and make many many visits!

They always struggle with the Indian food! The Chinese, Mexican, Italian etc are all great but they can never quite get the Indian food right. The only other thing that bothers me is that if you put your knife and fork down for more than 15 seconds they and your plate are whipped away by the hovering staff. Other than that, great place to eat for families.

Great choice of food, if you are a big eater this is the place for you, disappointed no mussels available during lunch menu, only included in the evening, probably the reason for the price difference, kids are priced on height which I don't think is fair if you have tall young kids, they will be priced at adult charges. We didn't find out till after our meal, if it's your birthday make sure you take ID, the meal is free 😉

So we decended on cosmo last night for my sons 18th. A good 20 of us. The staff were fantastic. The atmosphere was vibrant. And the food so fresh and beautiful.
Thank you to all who helped make my boys day end so amazingly

Excellent place. Food always fresh with plenty of choice for all tastes. Sunday has a better choice than in the week, but you do pay more for it. Worth booking in advance for busy periods

Who doesn't like this place? 😀 It's just brilliant... Good food great atmosphere, nice staff... Just wish there was a children's area... I have children of my own, but I make them behave and not scream...

I had Cosmo from various places and this one has really improved since it opened! The lunch menu is OK-ish but dinner menu has more selection (but obviously more expensive)! The hygiene rating has improved as well...it's pretty good considering it's a buffet style place...

Have variety of food for different times

Good overall experience for a work party. It's nice to have the choice of several cuisines. Downside was that service was a little poor due to the sheer amount of customers, and some of the food wasn't refreshed.
