Had a lovely family meal here for my daughters graduation. Service excellent, meal delicious and good value for money. The only criticism was the limited time slot allocation. Felt we were being a bit rushed at the end. But all in all a lovely night got out👍

It was a Monday so it would be quiet. When I entered there wasn't anyone waiting to greet me, I just stood there for a while. However as mentioned it was a Monday so I suppose it was OK. Once I was seen, I have to say the service was great. However I'm not used to going to dinner for 8pm and then been told the kitchen shuts at 8.25pm so we have to order more or less straight away! If you were there for a 3 course meal. How would you choose a meal then have a starter and then be served the main course all within 25 minutes. This doesn't even give you time to settle first and have a drink and look at the menu! They should tell you when making a booking when the kitchen shuts and not just take the reservation. We ordered starters and mains to come out at the same time! Because of only having a few minutes to order the pizza was soggy and tasted like uncooked dough. However the starters were OK. We didn't complain as we received good service from the waiting staff and it wasn't their fault that the kitchen closed so early.

These guys always go above and beyond. I very often come with large groups and quite a few children. They take it all in their stride, making you feel welcome. A sense that the staff enjoy being at their work. Definitely recommend 👌

Was looking forward to lunch with my friend as hadn't been in a while.Very disappointed with choices on the menu,there was absolutely nothing we really wanted so ended up with pate and a burger&chips,soft drink and it came to £38!! Family dinner. Our son really enjoys the food. This is our first visit since COVID started. Arrived about 10 minutes early and were shown straight to our table. Soon after giving our drinks order, in a matter of a few minutes, our drinks arrived. They have 2 menus, one for Christmas and their normal one. Once we had given our order, the only starter arrived within 10 minutes. Just had to wait a further 15 minutes for the main courses to arrive. The quality of the food was excellent and we really enjoyed all the dishes. If you like Italian cooking, visit Riva. You won't be disappointed. Service was excellent as always. Look forward to returning in the near future. Highly recommended.

lovely food. But the best bit was the staff. We both forgot our glasses and couldnt read a thing. My friend had been about 6 weeks earlier and wanted to order the same thing - but with no glasses we couldnt see. The waitress could remember her and exactly what she had ordered before . The place was really busy and we were astonished by the detail she remembered.

Dined here with a friend last night. This was my first time in Riva - I will definitely be back! Everything about the dining experience here is spot on. Food amazing - very generous portions. The tables are set out in accordance with Covid safety measures - there are screens up between you and the adjacent tables. The staff are fantastic - very friendly and attentive. Top marks, five stars well deserved - look forward to my next visit to Rivia!

We were in tonight for the first time in a while. That was the best Italian food we have had at a restaurant in ages. Brilliant first class friendly service. Great value too. Very nice, been for a meal in here twice and enjoyed it both times. Good choice of food with a few slightly quirky dishes. Good choice of wine by the glass. They also do a decent pre theatre menu with some of their better dishes available. Parking round the back with an entrance round there as well. Would definitely recommend and I will be back.

Always enjoy going to Rivas. It was a meal to celebrate a family birthday & the service to our table was great. There were 4 diners and we each has 2 courses + sides + drinks and our bill was around £100 in total which I thought was pretty good value.

Took 20 staff here to the live music night for our xmas night out. Food was amazing especially the sirloin steak and spicy tiger prawns. The service was fantastic all night and is the best I have ever experienced when with a large party. The live music was great as well and kept everyone going till closing time. 10/10 👍

Great to have an outdoor space, with heating, making it bearable weather even at 5 degrees and raining. Very friendly and attentive service and great (hot!) food.

Generally food good. Be careful of seat placing as real negative is due to openess of restaurant kitchen smells from the cooking can take over and the noise of chatter often makes it difficult to have a clear conversation. Staff are young and keen to please. Menu and beverage choices are ok with option for alternative menu. Option menu priced with surcharges shown. Worth a visit.

Love going to Riva, whether it’s for a quick bite or a big family meal. They have the food and staff to cater for any of your needs. The menus are all reasonably priced, and are changed up quite frequently so that there is something new to try every so often! Great bar/pub next door (Camphill Vaults) for a drink before or/and after!

Visited Riva for a spur of the moment Saturday night pre-theatre meal (booking advised as it was busy). Dinner was delicious and everyone in family extremely satisfied with their choices. Staff friendly and helpful. Can be a little noisy because of the double height ceiling. Great night!
