Been there a few times, latest being Feb 12th 2022. The Menu has changed from last time I went there, which was a few years ago. No Roast Duck on the menu 😪. The Menu is 100% Halal 😃
The service was very attentive, friendly, and professional. The restaurant was fully booked out when we went there, so they gave us sitting downstairs. It was pretty cold down there, but quickly warmed up after they put the AC up! 🙂
We ordered both types Wings and Burgers for starters, the Honey glazed wings were delicious, and super tasty, unfortunately the Buffalo wings was too tangy and salty. Would not recommend. The Burgers were really nice, meat was so juicy and succelent, I may have to go back for those burgers alone. ☺️
For Mains, we had Lamb Randang, Lamb Ribs and Pad Thai. The Randang was disappointing, I've had this dish before elsewhere and always enjoyed it, however, here it was more like a Indian Curry, also too salty. The Ribs were awesome, very large, meaty and very well marinated. Loved it. Pad Thai was of good quality, you can never really go wrong with a decent Pad Thai. The egg fried rice as side was standard, nothing special.
Overall it was a good evening at the restaurant. If you are in the area it's definitely worth a try. Even if you live far, would recommend a drive to it. Definitely worth it.

Rich vibrant flavours, varied textures, all served by friendly and attentive staff who are clearly proud of and excited about what they make.
The sauce of the Oxtail Kare Kare was super rich and silky, I couldn't get enough of it - be sure to order some rice to mop it up with. Yes it has bits of bone etc in it - if you prefer not to have to deal with that don't order oxtail dishes 😏. And the banana lamb ribs were something else - cracklingly crunchy on the outside, mouthwateringly fatty and moist on inside.
I don't know enough about Filipino food to say how authentic it really is but it's certainly delicious, and quite different to anything else I've had.
No alcohol sold here, but you can bring your own for a corkage charge (except on Mondays apparently when BYOB is corkage free).
NB: cash only, or at least it was when I went (Jan '22)

Our first Filipino/Pan Asian cuisine while visiting Camden. Would highly recommend giving it a visit and trying out new flavours.
For starters we had the Spicy Carabao Fried Wings and Pandesal Sliders. The Wings did have a kick to them so beware but they had there own unique flavour.
Next time I would probably avoid the sliders as they tasted like any other smash pattie burger, however couldn't fault it.
For mains we shared the Crispy Wok Glazed Banana Lamb Ribs with Garlic Fried Rice. This should come with a warning, make sure you use your hands and have plenty or napkins. If you are a shy eater, order something else. But it was worth it!
Would also recommend Calamansi drink to cut through the sweetness of the ribs.
Highly recommend going here for something different. Service was very friendly, great experience overall.

Amazing food with great service! The staff were very polite and friendly. The food was delicious, I would recommend getting a few dishes and sharing them. I would definitely come back!
R. W.
Great food and service. I had the milkfish silog and crispy tofu for lunch and was very full after. The silog was slightly dry so I would pair with a curry. The lamb rendang had so much flavour and goes really well with the coconut rice
S. C.
The food was alright but not authentic Filipino. A tad bit Westernised, which isn’t really a bad thing. But if you’re Filipino and expecting flavours from back home, you’ll be a bit disappointed. The ube ice cream and halo halo were both good though. Price-wise, I felt like they were a bit on the expensive side. Overall, a so-so dining experience.

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience, especially Aris, who served us he was an amazing host and is the reason I’ll definitely be back ! The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Absolutely the best meal we had in a while. Highly recommend!
H. P.
My first ever Filipino meal and it was delicious! We had the Lamb skewers to start, beef and for mains - the lamb sausage silog and the chicken thigh Inasal. The meats were cooked to perfection and everything was so tasty! The service was super friendly and I can’t wait to come back and try the other dishes as well as Mamasons which is next door!

Cash only. Good food and a great place to dine in a group. Not too far from Camden Market and about 30m away from Regent's Park.
N. H.
Food is tasty but portion sizes too small.
I ordered the oxtail Kare kare which was really flavoursome (would recommend if you like peanuts), but I was a bit surprised that for £13 it didn't come with a side like rice or roti. So with the rice my meal totalled to £17. My sister ordered the boneless chicken thigh, which was really delicious. But again for £15 you would've expected a bit more than just one thigh with rice.
Overall would recommend as food is tasty, but be prepared to order extra sides as portion sizes quite small.

Love this place! The staff are so nice and the portions really generous. It's quite casual, BYOB with £5 corkage for a bottle of wine, which includes an ice bucket to keep it cold. The set up is unique and colourful, although the way it's laid out does mean it can get quite cold in the winter, so I'd recommend bundling up. I find the downstairs a bit warmer, but darker as well.
M. G.
Got the boneless chicken inasal and loco moco. The lamb ribs were not available to order unfortunately. Both dishes were great, had a nice grill taste and well cooked. The chicken could have required a little more 5-10 mins of cooking however. The rice was stuck together, did not mind it at all though. The outdoor garden was also nice place to sit and eat. A lot of spaces available as well.
The staff are friendly; they may need more professional training but perhaps that is the chill vibe the restaurant is going for, which I don’t mind at all. The service provided was decent, got our drinks and cutlery as soon as we arrived. Food arrived within 15 mins and was really warm and fresh.
Good experience overall. Will visit again!

Should be rated so much higher, loved every dish and haven’t been this impressed by London restaurants for a while. Had the lamb ribs, dirty fried rice and Bintang curry with tofu starter and prawn crackers. 10/10. Very affordable but cash only so get it out before you come! Also byo!
S. H.
The waitress was very friendly, food was delicious and came promptly. Really nice to have a Filipino halal restaurant! Atmosphere was really chill - will definitley come back again.
R. H.
Had a nice meal here on a weekday night! Restaurant was quiet but there was still a little buzz! Highlight was the adobo fried wings starter, then had the Loco Moco which was interesting and tasty but not incredible! Friendly staff too!
N. J.
Great Filipino fusion restaurant! Would definitely return
S. H.
Malaysian food. We walked around Camden market looking for a sit down place to eat. We stumbled across this small restaurant. It was alittle cramped inside as there were 5 of us, however, the food was tasty and portions were reasonable size. I don't know if I'd go again because I'm not a big fan of Malay food.
X. P.
Nice curry. You can also BYOB (bring your own booze) with a £5 corkage fee only.
Staff is friendly.
Just avoid seating by the door during winter.
L. D. W.
Great fusion restaurant with a choice of dishes for all palates. Food arrived quickly with friendly service throughout. At the time of visiting it was cash only, and BYOB with a small corkage fee
R.
Lamb Rendang and Pad Thai were really flavorful. The only reason why it’s not a 5 star is because you have to pay separately for the rice even for the currys.
M. B.
Always great, had a lovely meal here many times - not sure they fully understand corkage fees, but food is very tasty - and that's what counts. I recommend the Lamb Adobo (on the bone with coconut milk, coconut vinegar, bay leaf chilli and peppercorns). Service always good and a pleasant atmosphere
S. M.
My friends and I absolutely loved this place!! The Ukek noodles were very delicious but spicy. The starters were great also. Do order a jug of their fruit juice, it was so refreshing. My husband had Ox tail and he absolutely loved it!! I loved the friendly service also. The arrangements for covid-19 were great and they had heaters outside that kept us very warm. Would definitely come again. It all boiled down to £20 per person
R. R.
Food was flavoursome and service was great as always. Would go again.
F. M.
We booked our table in the afternoon and got 8.30pm slot. It looks a bit shabby on the outside but don't let that put you off. The service was pretty good seeing as they were one staff short. Our girl was friendly and helpful and offered useful information on what might be to our taste. I ordered the Gao bao with chicken, it was really good. We also ordered the wings and crackers. My husband ordered the ribs as a main with garlic rice. My son had egg noodles, my daughter had the dirty rice and I had the milk fish with papaya salad. I really liked my dish but I had the dressing separate as suggested by the waiting staff and I think that was good because I added as much as I wanted. It is fishy so if you don't like fish it's probably best not to order it. I also had some of the garlic rice with my dish and it was flavoursome without being too overpowering. We had the Uzu lemonade (two jugs), it was very good. Definitely worth the money.
S. M. H.
Great for onsite dining. Very flavourful and inventive. Surperb music choices. However not as good as take out or delivery. Do not recommend ordering the pad thai as a delivery...stick to rice dishes.
S. L.
Would go as far to say Bintang is the best restaurant in London. The food is incredible, the staff are so friendly and it's very reasonably priced. The tofu bites are out of this world, and the Bintang curry and Bintang noodles are also firm favourites
A. A.
I must say I was super excited to try BinTang. It's been a minute However, now I've tried it. I must say I was disappointed with our experience. I think it was due to the fact that the Currys that we ordered were far too sour and the flavour balance was all over the place. It seemed to me more like an individual problem as opposed to a problem now face. If I had to come back.
I can't wait to come back here and have those chicken wings, though they were one of the best Fried chicken wings I've ever had. The flavour was absolutely beautiful and I would recommend it to everyone who's going there.
I'm not going to cancel this place based on a one off experience, I will give it a chance because I love all the restaurants that this collective has to offer.
This time Carried by.The chicken wings.
🌟 -6/10- 🌟

We are visiting from the New York and stopped in for a late evening meal. We're a huge fan of BYOB restaurants back home so this was a great selling point. The back garden was very pleasant and the food was exceptional and affordable, at least compared to what we are used to.
A. S.
Really lovely Pan-Asian fusion cuisine place in an intimate, no-frill setting! My friend and I shared the wasabi prawns tempura; I then had Tofu/aubergine spicy red curry with egg fried rice, whereas she went for the chicken pad Thai noodles. The dishes were very flavoursome. Mine was subtly spicy (the "red curry" looked more to me like a spicy black peppercorn sauce, but I really liked it). The place is small (so blissfully calm even when very busy) and has a larger downstairs section. Do note that it is cash only. The slight downside was our dessert - a fairly tough, oddly purple-coloured chocolate brownie with matching lilac ice cream (but hey, why on earth did I order dessert in an Asian restaurant 😅). Attentive service. All in all, I very much liked it and would recommend/go back.
S. A.
Good Pan Asian food! Really edgy interior and brilliant service. Would recommend the chicken wings. Nasi Goreng is nice and so is pad Thai. Lots of meat and chunky veg. There could’ve been some table condiments to add extra seasoning/sauces. Really wanted to try the rendang but they were out. Worth noting that it’s cash only (nearest free cashpoint outside Kentish Town station). The last time I visited it was about a year ago and I could’ve sworn that the menu was different. The experience this time wasn’t as special as my first time. Nonetheless, will be back again for the rendang!
D. C.
Cute little spot, cash only and food fantastic
T.
Food:
5***** really loved the food here it is so amazing I've never had anything like it the flavours are amazing and I'd go here again for just the food!!
Service:
is terrible absolutely shocking... I can't believe you think you can run a viable business they way tour staff just clock out mid shift and no do any pass over of knowledge. It feels like the staff you do have are stretched or so new that they don't want to stay there from what I can gather.
I didn't tip you guys at all because of the service being so extremely bad and slow.
To management, sort out the attentiveness of your staff and don't take on more business than you can handle...
r. a.
Great food. Outdoor dining. Bring cash with you (nearest cash machine is at sainsbury)
A. K.
Really nice korean place in a little hole in the wall in the Camden area. Very helpful staff with in depth knowledge about the menu and happy to help with the choices based on the desired taste pallette. Decent ambience and pocket friendly. The broccoli and the Japanese lemonade are a must try. Highly recommend.
A. C.
Amazing food, such friendly service, beautiful beer garden in the back and BYOB! The perfect restaurant
A. M.
meh, food was alright - but those lamb ribs were something else. was quite intimate and 'cosy', perhaps a little more than expected, however, it isn't my favourite Asian fusion/ Thai place in London. probably wouldn't go again, but if i was in the area, i'd deffo get a take away portion of the ribs (they were so good, i didn't even manage to get a pic of them, they were gone that quickly!)
T.
My friend nearby recommended this place and we were not disappointed! We went for the infamous chicken wings to start and my word, these lived up to the hype, especially seeing as I'm not usually a wings fan. Between us we then shared the Pad Thai, Bintang (mild) with a side of chillies and garlic rice, which were all delicious. The portions were decent sized, not too small. For dessert we got one brownie with ice cream & one churros with ice cream. The churros were a bit too hard and sugary for us but the brownie and ice cream combo was an absolute dream. As it's bring your own, the total bill was £35 each, which was very reasonable for the quality. We also had an amazing waitress and managed to secure the outside for ourselves! Would definitely recommend and already dreaming of eating those chicken wings again...
S. N.
I had a birthday dinner here. The food was really nice but the best thing was the staff.
They were so helpful and nice! Thank you :)
H. P.
Very friendly people, the starters were great especially the sliders, only things that let it down for me were that the bathrooms were not clean and whilst bintang chicken curry was a delicious flavour, the chicken was very dry and crispy...
10 out of 10 would have the guava and lime soda again!
M. G.
The food was very tasty. We were doubtful at first but we were satisfied with our orders. The staff was friendly. They gave a short background to the dishes. Food came out fresh and quickly. The servings were filling which we thought was portioned OK but turned out to be actually filling.
N.
The food was outstanding and I would highly recommend it, the service was quite good and the food arrived promptly, although it got a little hectic as it got busier
S. M.
I came last night for my husband's birthday dinner and it was so lovely. It was much needed after this long lockdown. Food was really good and I highly recommend the lamb starters. The main waitress with pink hair was so lovely and attentive to our needs and made my husband birthday extra special. It's always lovely to go to a restaurant that no only has nice food but also lovely staff. The restaurant is also fully halal and no alcohol served which was a big big big factor into us choosing it and will definitely recommend it to friends and family.
M.
The food is very good, and very tasty, the waitress was very polite and helpful, recommended at all , if you go there remember just can pay cash, no cards
N. D.
Bintang is our fave! Very lovely and accommodating staff! Food is amazingly delicious which reminds us of home! They recommended morning glory today and tried it as they dont have laing and it WAS REALLY GOOD.
WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND 💯 👌
H. B.
If you like simple good asian Food with locals, friendly atmosphere and the fun fact that you can bring your own bottle or can (They dont Sell any alcohol): try bintangs! If you’re in the neighbourhood, combine it with a visit to Camden Beer Brewery. You can even take Some beer from the Brewery with you to the restaurant 😎 [Downstairs is a dining room as Well]
L. F.
Try something different. The food is delicious and it's a byo I think that combination works well . The staff are very nice and will help with the menu. Try the ulek , the fried rice , milk fish and the Filipino lamb. The dessert options are awesome I had the bun with ice cream... Wow!!! who knew. I'm going back
L. C.
Even though they seemed to be a little understaffed, the quality of the food knocked our socks off and we are DEFINITELY coming back. The sliders were such a strong start, amazing pandesal with juicy patties and sweet onions. But whatever you do don't forget to order the banana BBQ lamb ribs. Absolutely divine.
W. B.
Went with a group of friends and it was incredible! The food was delicious and the staff were so attentive and friendly. Such a cool vibe too. Will definitely be coming back soon to try out other dishes!
D. H.
Kind of a small limited menu compared to other Filipino restaurants. Mostly chicken and lamb. But the food is really delicious you won't be disappointed.
Didnt seem to serve alcohol so that is disappointing. Hopefully in the future as it has a nice outdoors dining area.
R. S.
Friendly service, exceptional food. Highly recommend the crispy tofu bites - it's the dish that keeps me coming back!
c.
Used to come here regularly in the late 2000s as the food was good and cheap! Popped back in and although both the food and interior are not quite up to the standard I remembered, it's still pretty decent. Corkage fees have doubled but still good value. Will try not to leave it so long until the next visit...
S. A.
Enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. Good mixed Asian dishes from Malaysian to Middle Eastern. Decent price - only accept cash. Great place for a couple/small group dinner.
U. B.
Stopped into this place in passing. Food was great, service was friendly and it was worryingly easy to get a table given how busy all the nearby eateries were. As it turned out we had to restrain ourselves a bit on what we ordered as they 'only accept cash' and, well, in this era of proliferating 'cards against covid' policy, who carries much cash on them now? I guess that explains why a place with such nice food was so empty.
S. H.
Nice friendly waiter, took a bit too long for drinks to come. I understand food comes at different times but 10+ minutes from 1st person to last person is crazy amount of time. When there's only 3 of us, and noone else in the restraunt. It's also funny to see staff sitting down and eating takeaway food from a nearby chicken shop. Only accept cash, which i think is absolutely crazy!
It's a nice place, the outdoor seating in the back is a must on a hot day. Also decor is very funky and cool. I ordered the lasazo, the egg had melted in the broth, and far too little chicken, not really worth £11. But overall okay.
s. l.
Amazing food, very tasty and a menu to suit all ages. Gave 4 star because the service was VERY slow, mains for our group came out slowly and the music playing in the background was very distasteful (swearing so not for children's ears!)
S. B.
Ordered the adabo fried chicken and sliders for starters to share. The sliders although had good flavour looked a little undercooked hence the average score rating. Had the fried rice and ribs to share for mains. Quite big portions so ended up taking left overs home.
E. N.
Some cold beverages provided, like milkshakes, more rare seen types of ice cream flavor. They also have milk buns, doughnuts... They even have vegan ice cream. Refreshing taste and it's a bit of change to ordinary cold beverages.
S. L.
This is one of my favourite restaurants EVER. The spicy chicken wing starter oh my goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The food is too, too, too good. I like the casual vibe too. The only thing is it's cash only so make sure you have some on you. I wish they introduced contactless/card too!
R. C.
Amazing food + friendly staff ! Really good prices! They have a 10£ lunch deal that includes a starter and a main, pretty worth it ! I highly recommend their coffee with butter .
One of the best restaurants in Camden !
J. H.
Love this place, to sit in and order. Delicious food and great service. Great atmosphere
L. P.
I had a great time at this spot. We loved the excellent atmosphere and the menu. The waiters were very amiable. I am happy we eventually decided to visit this restaurant.
P. A.
Oh wow. This was so much more than I expected. Each dish packed a flavour punch and did not taste like generic 'pan-asian'. It was all delightful- especually the ube icecream and sticky rice churros! Lovely service too.
H. B.
Been here a few times and have ordered take away a handful of times. Really good vegan options. Very tasty! Sometimes they get your order completely wrong. Good stuff nonetheless
J. T.
Really friendly staff and great selection of food. Not the biggest of restaurants so would recommend booking prior to turning up
E.
Not bad, good vibes sitting outside. Food overall wasn’t bad, not amazing tho. I asked for some chillis with my meal and all they had to offer me was sirracha :( won’t be rushing back here.
Y. H.
Friendly staff. A reasonable range of Asian fusion dishes at fair prices. Their roti is very nice.
M. P.
Fab food for sharing or eating as one dish. Chicken waffle was very tasty!
A. S.
Came here for my mother’s birthday, service was excellent especially Elaine she took total care of us alongside the manager. The starters were mouth watering The chef made outstanding dishes.Would visit again. 10/10
J. K.
Food was okay but nothing spectacular. I would rather go to Bayswater and eat some authentic Asian food. The chicken wings tasted a bit weird and the duck wasn't crispy. It was okay but i wouldn't visit this place again.
F. M.
Fantastic restaurant
Lamb ribs were great must order
Duck was ok
Wings very tasty
Good atmosphere
Will go back - great halal place
A. H.
The decor itself is very disappointing, really cheap wooden chairs and tables but we ignored this and sat down. We ordered Pad Rice Thai Noodles with chicken as well as Bintang Noodles with chicken. Service was a little slow, felt like a 20min plus wait and only 5 customers total.
However food was amazing, the balance of tang and zest with rich creamy flavours was perfect. The coriander and lime leaves really add a layer of freshness to a rich dish that works so well. Enjoyed every bite and can't wait to visit again. Food was 10/10 but I'm only rating it 4 for overall experience.
P.S Must fill out Track & Trace form online before entering. Masks are to be worn by all until you are sat down at your table. Large plastic dividers are set between each table. No card payments available so head to Tescos or Sainsburys for free cash withdrawal (10min walk). They operate a bring your own beer (BYOB) policy.
G. A.
One of my favourite restaurants! Definitely loved the food and the staff. No frills just good vibes, delicious food and friendly people. It's no wonder I keep coming back with friends. It's a hit!
t. S.
Brilliant food really loved it and great service but zero social distancing due to size of restaurant so I wouldn't sit indoors unless vaccinated. Outdoor seating available.
A. V.
This is a Filipino restaurant really; not Indonesian despite the name. The food was quite nice. The sweet potato fries were a standout. Nice busy atmosphere also. However: the service could have been better; it felt like we were being rushed out the door. No-one likes to be brought a bill despite not asking for it especially when there's still food on the table.
P. B. D. S.
Came here earlier this year with a friend and we loved it! The food was so spectacular that we overlooked the somewhat unprofessional service. We came again and brought another friend and whilst the food was still good, the service was awful. The staff seemed disorganised, disinterested and severely lacking in any actual customer service skills. We had such a negative experience with service we probably won't return. The food is still amazing, so I do recommend getting it as a takeaway. The 3 stars are purely for the food. The service would get none. They brought us the bill after 1.5 hrs and told us "because of covid" that was the limit we could stay. Then someone else come to us shortly after and said "You nee to leave now" and when I told him that wasn't a covid regulation, he told me it was a company policy even though the time before we stayed for almost 3 hours. Just seemed like they were tired or working and wanted everyone gone. I understand IF you have other tables, but it was 9:30pm and they were due to close in half an hour. Awful service.
L. F.
Had a really delicious dinner here — loved the flavours. Service was also great. Will definitely be back.
P. A.
Starters were nice but took 40 mins to arrive, mains came immediately after, we had a Bintang curry and a Pad Thai - both very average. The best part of this place is how nice the staff are but we won’t be back.
R. S.
I thought this restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and a varied and interesting menu. Portion sizes were good and the food was presented well. One quibble from my Filipina companion was that the Filipino food was not particularly representative so I'd say don't come here if you're looking for a genuine Filipino meal but for the average restaurant goer there is a lot here to try
S. W.
Really yummy, good veggie options and the meat dishes looked delicious. BYOB is always great but not taking cash is a pain. We booked in a large group and there were a lot of t+cs, plus we had to pay for one of the people who didn't turn up despite giving notice
M. H.
My absolute favorite restaurant in London! Really tasty food (my favorite is the bintang curry), friendly staff and a nice vibe. The BYOB option is also a bonus!
M. S.
Unfortunately I was unimpressed with my recent visit. It's small, cozy almost, and very informal which is good, but the service was terrible and the server a bit confused/confusing. The food is always of a fair to good quality(luckily they change their menu regularly and occasionally is excellent), but the biggest problem is their tiny kitchen. We were told we had to wait around twenty- twenty-five minutes to order, because our party of seven was about the limit of what they could push out and they had three or four other small tables that they prioritized over us. I can understand that, but just be aware, it could take a while if you have numbers. Also, if you want to drink alcohol with your meal, you have to supply it yourself, which is a bit annoying. There is an off-license a couple of doors down though. Give it a look, for sure. It's not terrible, i just didn't enjoy myself this time around. Portions were good, reasonably priced, and a chilled out Sunday afternoon atmosphere.
J. M.
Nice food!! Cash only! Tapsilog + extra orders of longanisa!!!! 😋
C. Z.
Stumbled upon this via Ubereats. Ordered Longsilog and Tapsilog - food tastes good, and comforting. The combination of beef and lamb is surprisingly quite good in my opinion. Rice and meat portions are generous, maybe lessen up on the vegetables. Another thing Bintang can improve on is packaging, the food container is not that sturdy - the lid can easily come off loose and can cause the food to spill when being transported. You can also use containers with dividers, so that the food don't get mixed up. But overall, really good!
L. S.
I really love it here and keep coming back as it's always great. My most recent visit was the best though. The staff were so helpful and attentive and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was fantastic as always and even the chefs poked their heads out of the kitchen as we left to checked if we had enjoyed it. Food is reasonably priced and with BYOB this makes it all round a cheap dinner. There's a really nice feel to this place - a cute little garden and they even give you an ice bucket for your drink. Such a nice touch! The supervisor Asha was lovely :)
Will keep coming back here - yum!
S. P.
Exceptional food. We had the pad thai and out of all the pad Thais we have had this was by far the best. The flavours were unbelievably good from the firsts bite. The food on the other tables also looked really good. Well worth a visit. Staff are friendly and the decide is basic and welcoming.
B. L.
Great place - everything we had was delicious (I especially liked the sliders and the roti) and they offer BYOB. Will definitely be back.
B. O.
Great food great vibes great experience. Would recommend the chicken insaan it was fantastic. Big thanks to Aris for the excellent service
A. O.
Highly recommend amazing food and wonderful service!! Brought my friends which are visiting from Israel and they actually loved it! The beef brisket was very tasty and the curry’s were absolutely delicious! Ale was fabulous and absolute sweetheart! Our only disappointment was running out of ube doughnuts but will be back for those!
K. D.
One of the best meals I have ever had. Chicken liver popcorn and salt and pepper squid were to die for. Bintang Noodles were delicious. The beef brisket was very tasty and just the right amount of spice. Unfortunately the Laksa had run out, so I'll just have to go back again! Service was perfect and food was fast and piping hot out of the kitchen.
K. H.
Amazing food! Portions were enough to fill the belly and flavours were authentic and diverse. Made me feel like I was back in Asia! Loved it.
Staff was friendly and helpful, although a little impatient when it came to closing time. Space is comfy and cosy :)
B. B.
WOW! Exceptional food. It can be difficult finding unique, exciting cuisine in London. Bintang has all that in spades. And incredible service. It's small, but we felt really well looked after. Melanie, Debbie, Alex, Joseph - if there is any justice in the world you should win all the restaurant awards. Thank you. 🙏🙏🙏 AND IT'S BYOB!
N. V.
Ordered from the set menu, due to being a large group. Small restaurant but enough seating downstairs for groups. The starters were great, the chicken wings were very good. Though the main dishes lacked taste and wasn't as satisfying as the starters. BYOB was good as accommodates everyone.
D. V.
Nice foods! I will recommend this my friends too! 😊
R. E.
Wow. Indescribable!! I got the vegan laing and it absolutely blew my mind. What a fabulous introduction to Filipino food
O. S.
Excellent selection of food from across Asia, perfect for a casual meal or a full blown 3/4 course feast. Return visits definitely necessary.
Staff and service was excellent and the corkage fee for BYOB is very reasonable, especially when one is provided with a wine cooler.
Cash only, but there are various cash machines nearby.
K. N.
Absolutely fantastic! We've been twice now and the second time we arrived Jaz greeted us by name with a warm welcome. The food is incredible, I could quite happily eat the garlic rice and Randang every day! Food, service and atmosphere are wonderful. It does get quite busy so there's a bit of an expected turn around time when the crowds start pouring in but the staff are lovely about it and very accommodating. All in all, maybe my favourite place in Kentish Town - and who doesn't love BYOB?!
R. D. R.
Amazing food, friendly staff, easy weekly go to restaurant but cash only?
S. K.
Surprisingly good food! Loved their wasabi prawns and lamb rendang. I had been here a few years ago and dismissed it because of the food being below average, but they seem to have got a new chef, because almost everything we ordered was delicious. The wings were a good price and others on our table loved the Bintang curry. The bao was average and a bit expensive for what it was.
They have a BYOB policy, which worked great for us. The bill came to appx £20 per person including corkage and a Lot of food.
There was only one wait staff on on a bank holiday so service was a bit slow. But she was accommodating and attentive when at our table, so no complaints there.
A. M.
Really great food, appetisers are interesting and the curries are delicious. The service could be a little bit more attentive, we may have been forgotten towards the end of our meal, but the staff is lovely and will address any questions you have. They don't have drinks, except for water, and it's cash only, so take care of that in advance, but it's totally worth it!
R. Y.
Staff were really friendly but service was a bit frazzled (eg. Serving trays left on our table, not enough starter plates given, main meal plates forgotten and so were asked for, food coming out at different times, an order forgotten). Their signature Bintang curry tasted like supermarket Thai red curry, the Rendang tasted good and the meat was cooked perfectly but it was salty. I'm actually quite surprised that bloggers rave about it. It's a nice place to check out for lunch if you're in the area but on a Saturday night I kinda wish I went somewhere else.
J. l.
Stumbled across this place on a Saturday night, twelve of us piled in with no reservation and were happily accommodated by the lovely staff. BYOB was fine as nice off license next door, think we bought about 2 bottles of wine, and 12 bottles cans of larger, £2.50 per head. We were served our starters very fast, we ordered a selection and shared everything between us. Really really tasty food, the salt and pepper squid was delicious, as well as the dumplings, and all the sauces it came with. Our mains were served promptly, however one of our dishes (noodle bing tang) was not taken down correctly and so we had to wait a little while longer for it to be cooked. But considering how loud we were and how many of us there were and how great it all was overall i don't think we minded. Great restaurant.
L. S.
Love this place! The bear garden is very cute and the food is amazing
J. H.
I have to admit to being a bit sceptical of "pan Asian" restaurants but here they seemed to really make it work, and the £10 lunch menu is a bargain (soup, a starter, a main course and a soft drink, I was stuffed by the end). Everything I had was very tasty, big bold flavours and a good use of spice. Good, interesting vegetarian options - a highly competent use of tofu. My only criticism would be it was all a bit too salty.
S. B.
Wow! This place is a great summer find if you're in the area and wanting to have top notch home cooked feel Asian meal. I've been there for the first time last night. Staff can't do enough for you, food is great and with little squirrels throwing little pieces of wood from the trees, it does make you feel like you're abroad somewhere. Choose your table wisely.
J. L.
Food was amazing, good value for money. Staff were attentive and helpful. Food came quickly as we ordered just before a few groups arrived for parties. Place was cosy. We were sat outside but was kept warm by the patio heaters. Will definitely be returning and definitely recommend. The lamb ribs is highly recommended as well as the korean fried chicken!!
A. P.
A really lovely little place. Only about 15 tables but the food is very good. A good vatiety of starters and mains wothout having a huge menu. Would recommend the chicken liver nuggets. They were so delicious. Will definitely be coming her again!
A. S.
Definitely makes it into the top 10 best in London. Both the curry and the signature noodles were OUTSTANDING. 100% recommend this place. Great service and atmosphere too.
S. H.
Delicious food and friendly service, thank you Milin (I think that's how you spell it) for the EXCEPTIONAL SUPERSTAR service!
The menu suited all of our taste buds, we all ordered a mix of dishes on the menu so got to try a lot and it was all very well done & tasty.
ONLY downside was that as we were a large group we were sat downstairs and the smell of mould, sewage and whiffs of stink coming from the toilet was VERY off-putting/thank god it was BYO and we all took shots to numb our senses
S. D.
I've had the most authentic Pad Thai I have ever had in this little restaurant. Staff are awesome, very funny and ready to give you some real advice on food. The venue is on two different floors, so there's enough space even for bigger groups.
K. B.
We got a takeaway from Bintang which was incredible, can’t wait to visit in person. Everything was delicious, but the surf and turf “dirty rice” was out of this world!!
S. B.
Delicious starters of fish and Korean chicken wings. Mains were average, would not recommend the katsu curry. Cash only which they don't mention on the website. Good service, was given plenty of time to sit after they had closed the kitchen.
R. B.
Good food and friendly service but £4 per bottle of beer corkage charge?! That's way too high considering they don't sell booze themselves. Drinks bill ends up more expensive than most restaurants.
N. B.
The food was good but the service was the best. Staff was so friendly and genuinely interested in the needs of the customers. Sarah especially, tried her best to make sure we were okay with everything. The staff made bintang a different experience for me, as well as the setting and food. It was refreshing and much needed.
C. R.
I arrive at this outstanding place many times because I like the special air that is exist in this restaurant. The personel is extraordianrillyremarkably attentive and well trained. The service is very quick. Not to mention, the food you eat is perfect. I have been there more than once and I was always joyful. The price is reasobable. I highly suggest this restaurant to to all.
d. v.
I have been a few times now and the food is always good. Their wasabi Prawn tempura and chicken wings are amazing! Really good Pad thai too. Service is really friendly and they have an outside area in the back for when its nice out. Its a Byob and the price of the food is great. Can really recommend for eating out with a lower budget. Have and will keep recommending!
M. A. G.
Delicious food and friendly service and happy to see the place packed with patrons of various ages and ethnicities. I had the lamb adobo and garlic friend rice - a welcomed twist on the adobo I grew up on. The ice cream was tasty as well - black buko, milo and kalamansi! (The kalamansi tasted more that of a sorbet.) Looking forward to eating there again! Thank you...ps They were kind of enough to advise patrons to go to Sainsbury to use the free cash machine as they are a cash only establishment but there is also a nearby Tesco just north of the restaurant that is close by as well - we went there.
U. C.
So me and my wife went to bintang on Friday night to break our fast, first impressions, nice small boutique style restaurant with a rustic look, not much money gone into the decor but it goes with the theme of the restaurant so bintang does pull this off well, its a very cool restaurant if i must say. we arrived and I gave my name as a table was booked earlier that day via their website, no tables where free, but the manager advised he will get one ready for us, which he then politely asked a table of 2 girls, if they could kindly leave as they had finished their food and others are waiting to be seated, they took this well, but hooray i got my table. They provided us with dates and fruits to break our fast which was very thoughtful. starters where very nice, i really enjoyed the korean wings (very tasty) and the vege spring rolls which tasted freshly made! the prawns i ordered with potatoe where nice and perfectly cooked however a big let down was the melted cheese as it appeared to be the square slice cheese you get in packets, this bought this starter down heavily as it got sickening
when the mains came, mine looked very nice and tasted delicious aswell (chicken katsu curry), my wife ordered the beef pad thai, she hated it. we where honest and told our waitress (May) and asked 'does this have coconut in it as it has a strong coconut aroma because my wife hates coconut and this wasnt mentioned anywhere on the menu'. May the waitress said that it shouldnt do as it should be sweet, sour and spicey all at once but she advised she will try our meal her self and give her thoughts, she took the plate and came back and advised that she sincerly sorry but the pad thai should not taste like this at all and that the chef may have missed or added an extra ingredient/sauce by accident. she offered to give us something else instead which was chicken and waffles, however she bought us back another freshly made pad thai, i think the chicken and waffles may have finished for the day, My wife didnt really eat this second pad thai as she was put off by the first one so that was a bummer.
We was going to go elswhere for dessert as we where craving something more chocolatey and sweet however May came over to our table after clearing up our mains with a japanese style ice cream and said that the managment had given this to us on the house because of the pad thai issue. This was a very nice gesture and shows they went out of their way above and beyond for us as customers.
i would reccomend this place as their food is at a good price, freshly made, qwerky restaurant , great atmosphere, vibes and great staff, i cant praise May enough for her customer service skills hence why i left a tip which i hardly do in restaurants. great staff great location great vibe, especially when they dim the lights down, defo adds to the ambience.
big thumbs up from me, 5 stars because even though the pad thai did mess up they made up for it in other areas, if they hadnt done this it wouldve been a 3 star from me
J.
Had a meal here as part of a large group.
It's brilliant - food was fantastic and staff very helpful.
Would definitely come back and highly recommend!
J. L.
Great Pan-Asian/Filipino inspired foods. I loved the Oxtail in Peanut Sauce and the -silog dishes were great.
R. N.
Great Experience at Bintang restuarant , got served by Innah who gave me her personal recomendation on what to order.
She got me Korean chicken wings for starters which were delicious and remained crispy underneath all the sauce. Nasi Goreng for main which was bursting with flavour and was tasty.
Over all good quality food and a high level of costumer service.
h. k.
The curries are really delicious and prices at under £10 so you can't go wrong. I normally make a point of trying something new at any restaurant but I have the Ankai which is beautiful. BYOB a massive bonus too! Will definitely be back again
S. C.
Little and cozy restaurant, with mouth watering food and very friendly staff. There's a nice little terrace at the back, perfect for warm summer nights. Plus, the bring your own booze rule is fantastic!
N. A.
Nice atmosphere and staff
l. h.
Great menu, fun vibe
N. K.
A lovely restaurant. Food was delicious, excellent presentation and the staff was nice and polite.
I recommend it 💯💯💯
L.
Probably the nicest pad thai and dining experience I've ever had, the staff brought us a bucket + ice for our BYOB and charged my phone without hesitation, a very warming experience and so good I went back the next day. Not expensive either and great before a night out.
R. C.
Good service, great food. Sweet potato fries and chicken bintang were really nice. Bring your own drink is a good way of keeping costs down. Would definitely go again.
J. D.
Food was really good and the service was excellent, I will definitely be going back. Only things to note are that it is cash only and they are not licensed so take your own wine or beer (there is a handy shop next door that has an ok selection)
k. a. (.
The food here is ok. There's a nice fusion vibe going on. The staff are super friendly and the place quite quirky. It's worth checking out if you're in the area but I wouldn't travel specifically for it. Also, they are cash only so be organised enough to have some on your person!
N. A.
Food is great had my birthday here once just a small group of 40 ending up being 46 but the guys were very accommodating. Also been here few times staff are friendly there's always something different to try eat up guys!
k. g.
Fantastic ! Even better in real life …. Was a fave takeout during lockdown . Such amazing food !
M. S.
Have been quite a few times over the years and really can't wait to go back again. The dishes are always so different and appealing that it's hard to choose, and I've never been disappointed! It's a shame it's so far from where I live as I would be there at least once a month or so!
F. B.
I would highly recomend the wings and the somtam, staff were very friendly and helpful
k.
First time at Camden starving and stopped by this restaurant. The waitress, Kamila, was very polite and informative. Food was tasty and came faster than expected. I will be very happy to recommend this place to my friends and next time, I hope I could take my family to this restaurant aswel.
G. B.
Visited the Caribbean restaurant before and had a wonderful experience, and today I visited Bintang for the first time and only been told that they both run by the same family, another great experience with my ex server Ale lol, the pad Thai was wonderful and full of flavour, surely will give it another visit
P. L.
Good Thai food at reasonable prices, Bin Tang sports a basement where world cup games are shown and a beer garden tucked away in the back. They don't serve drinks, but you can bring your own (an off-license is conveniently next door). I would recommend the "Thai Tacos".
R. G.
One of my favourite little restaurants! Love the staff, the food and the whole atmosphere - especially the music they have on! Great little find! Make sure you try the crispy tofu!
N. J.
Great find. Food was really good and reasonably priced for London. Not a massive menu but it will suit most people. BYOB saves some money too. Will definitely be back.
F. P.
Brought my daughter and her friends here this weekend. The food was amazing and the service even better. They all had a fantastic time. Great place for a relaxed get together.
S. F.
Chicken Satay was a madness. Powerful wings, good portions, staff were nice - especially the young waiter boy Dawit, what a hunk. Diego is a G too. 10/10 would Bintang again
S. M.
A decent selection of exotic food. Staff are friendly and informative in regards to details of dishes. Great if you are getting bored of the typical food London has to offer.
S. B.
One of the best restaurants I've been to, that's no exaggeration! Very friendly staff, diverse menu and the food really is exceptional. Also it's BYOB, I'd recommend Bintang to everyone
N. W.
Surprising little gem! Real quality Malay and Indonesian flavors in a cute garden setting. Loved the sweet potato fries and wasabi prawns. Will be back!
T. W.
I had a fantastic set menu lunch here. Great vegan, vegetarian & GF options. Food was delicious, staff were lovely & the rear garden is gorgeous. Highly recommend.
C.
Went here for a friend's birthday, we had the party menu. There was lots of food and it was really good - will definitely be recommending! Our waitress Roisin was awesome!
R. P.
Used to really love this place but it has gone massively downhill the food is just above average but not a good reflection on price. The thing that has become really bad is the service. It takes ages for anything to come, had to ask several times before things turned up. Forgot parts of our order. Was a shambles.
A. A.
The food is regularly fresh and delicious, employees hands out great service. I like the cleanliness and atmosphere. Highly recommended.
A. W.
Small place with some tasty and interesting options, including some unusual fruit drinks worth a try. The satay sauce was a bit weird though, and it was quite cold and draughty on the evening I went there.
C. T.
walking down kentish town road, went in to bintang to give it a try as i had heard great things. Wow. Small and cosy with a beautiful garden in the back. Food was amazing, everything you could dreamt of. Both Dawit and Diego (waiters) looked after us exceptionally well. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a great dinner with friends. The Byob policy was also great. Will be back soon!. Thanks guys
H. P. (.
cool spot 😎
M. S.
A wet rainy day, but braving the weather was worth it. Food delicious, the fish speciality dish was delicious, really enjoyed the tangy salad.
M. C.
Super friendly service and nice, reasonably priced pan-asian food. BYOB which is great. Cash only. Try the ice creams that are brought in from next door's shop - delicious!
G. B.
Gem of a restaurant, 10/10 service and food, Colin and team looked after us in the best way possible.
N. K.
The food was great. Waiters were very friendly and helpful. Drinks menu was a little limited but 5h3 drinks on offer were delicious.
M. T.
I enjoyed a very good meal here recently, their aromatic duck is some of the best I've ever had, no doubt partly thanks to the sous-vide cooking technique they use!
H. A.
Good fusion restaurant, small and quirky, decent prices and good service
N. P.
Tasty food & great service! One thing to note, the restaurant takes cash only.
D. W.
Very tasty food and friendly staff. Heating was on when we entered so we sat by door and then heating was turned off so got very cold.
N. L.
Great food, welcoming employees, constantly great mood. They charge fair pricing and the food quality is great. 5 stars.
K. D.
Lovely food but cash is a bit annoying. Especially with covid etc.
L.
Lovely food as usual!
S. D.
Excellent food and a lovely back garden. A must try
M.
Incredible food at reasonable prices and friendly staff. Will return in the future. Make sure you have cash as it's cash only.
V. C.
Amazing tasty food with so many flavours. I love this restaurant.
The service is great too, with very kind staff.
A. D.
Food was well seasoned and cooked, would like to see warmed plates as main was a little cold. Staff and atmosphere was lovely and I will be back again, thank you!
S. T.
Amazing Asian-fusion food and friendly staff - albeit a bit dinky and the food did not arrive simultaneously. Nonetheless i would happily go again!
J. L.
Decent, albeit a little strange pan-asian fusion restaurant. It's cosy and charming, and an interesting dinner choice. Still good, though I prefer my food a little more authentic than fusion.
J. B.
The crispy tofu bites are to die for!!! They have really nice inside seating as well as a lovely garden and you can bring your own alcohol.
S. N.
Absolutely love the chicken wings here! All food is delicious. Best to eat at the restaurant (when ordered Deliveroo it wasnt as good). Also, it's BYOB
W. W.
Great little BYOB modern Taiwanese restaurant with a surprisingly large back garden, which is great in the summer. The soft buns are delicious.
Y. L.
The Good - bring your own booze, great for groups;
The Bad - food was very average and you have to take a set menu for large groups
M. F.
Amazing food, such a great atmosphere and vibe and brilliant priced! Service is good and they know everything about the food! Definitely a recommend
K. C.
Tasty food and friendly service!
s. v.

L. L.
FOOD IS EXTREMELY TASTY. YOU WILL BE SPOILT MAKING A DECISION. MY FAVOURITE BEEF RENDANG.
EVERYTHING COOKED TO PERFECTION AND STAFF ARE FRIENDLY AND KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT FOOD AND DRINKS.
THIS IS A PLACE FOR SINGLES, COUPLES OR GROUPS. VERY POPULAR.
AFTERNOON OR EVENING, IT'S A MUST.
M. G.
An absolutely amazing place. Incredible food and nice, friendly staff. A must try place. Can't wait to go back
M. J.
Food was alright, the menu is a bit all over the place and some dishes were better than others. Good value but nothing too special.
S. G.
Great food, consistent quality and quirky ambience. Reserve a table and make the most of your time if you are in Camden!
T. P.
It's a small place, but the food is nice. Nothing particuarly special about it - the food isn't unusual or stand out, but it was good quality for a reaonable price.
C. E.
Awesome menu, nothing is disappointing. Would recommend booking a table for weekends. Cash only and BYOB.
R. C.
Great asian food and atmosphere, staff is very friendly, it's a byob, you can bring your own bottle
A. D.
Really friendly staff, great food. There is no alcohol on sale, however there is an Off-license 2 doors down.
D. C.
Flavours were amazing in this little BYOB pan Asian restaurant. Really friendly staff and the decor was cool.
J. K.
Truly pinoy! Different twist with chicken sisig! Love the kare-kare as well. Would go back for halo-halo during summer.
A. B.
Excellent food and service, cosy little restaurant would highly recommend it. All the food was halal which meant no restrictions 😊
M. V. Z.
Enjoyed meal. Remember cash only and you take your own drinks if you wish
D. W.
Great food - too many choices for us to try them all! We'll be back.
G. P.
A nice vibrant asian restaurant, they take reservation and they allow you to BYOB but they ask you 3£ on top of the service charge to open it (bring your own bottle opener too!!!).
D. H.
What can I say from the moment you arrive it an enjoyable experience the service is top rated and the food has great variety and favour and I like food spicy, this place also offers this option...just ask.
J. B.

Great place. Hidden gem! The food was absolutely delicious! The staff all very friendly and helpful. They have a cute little garden where you can sit and enjoy your meal.
