Reviews of Fortnum & Mason
C. V. D.
A beautifully decorated store with tons of selection. The tea, candy and cookies I got there were delicious and traveled well. The staff were helpful and very informative. I will definitely recommend this place for both the merchandise and the experience
P. K. L.
A wonderful store with some professional and decent staff. Female staffs were great. Males could be improved.
Products expensive but good for gift at the time of the year and tea products are outstanding, the unique ginger flavour of Fortnum and Mason is unbeatable. The crystallised ginger is nearly always out of stock.
Store has a friendly vibe even though it’s like a jungle at times.
S. D.
The place for Tea!! People may think it's for posh people when it truly is not!! If you are a lover of tea, I highly recommend loose leaf royal blend or even push the boat out and make your own. Even if you are a tourist you have to call in, they have amazing foods to taste, luxury gifts that I admit make your eyes water but hey. We only live once! The staff are immaculately dressed, very well mannered and very helpful. This is also a must visit store whilst in London.

I go to Fortnum and Mason at least twice a year, summertime and Christmas time which is my favourite. They have such a variety of food made for Christmas. Absolutely love everything. They have amazing fudge, the best ones are honey and vanilla, also their biscuits, the flavours combinations and different flavours of tea.
박.
Unbelievable Christmas decorations they did!!🎄🎁🎀
I almost cried in here because of so much happiness. Don't hesitate to visit here. I am sure you will be surprised from various teas, desserts and luxurious atmosphere.
P. M.
Great place, took our daughter to meet Santa over Christmas, and managed to book a table in the Parlour online a few hours before arriving, saved much waiting time as it is quite busy over the Xmas season.
The afternoon tea were a bit plain. But overall the trip was fun

The staff at F&M are always very polite and charming, treating little and big spends with equal levels of enthusiasm.
There are many staff who have worked in the store almost their entire life, some working through their retirement.
There is obviously an aspirational aspect to the store, some perceive that you need wealth to shop here, but it’s far from the case. During Christmas months this is the ideal place to shop for the people you don’t know what to buy for, because let’s face it, who wouldn’t be happy with a F&M branded product?
S. K.
So much to see here!
It’s bigger and fancier than I expected and got a lot of nice stuffs. Made me look around for about an hour :)
Not only famous teas, but also their pistachio biscuits and macadamia shortbreads are great👍🏼
S. K.
Visited for Afternoon Tea. Food was beautifully presented and very tasty. Great that sandwiches and cakes can both be replaced are many times as you would like. Staff were also happy to prepare plain cheese sandwiches for one member of our group and also to provide more of particular cakes or sandwiches - just ask. We also enjoyed trying a range of teas from the extensive menu.
Price was expensive, but is a memorable experience to celebrate a special occasion.

Fortnum & Mason is definitely a must-visit spot for all tourists. It's not only for their signature & beautiful afternoon tea set but also for souvenirs like tea & biscuits.
The decor is amazingly brilliant, classic and wide-spaced. The product line-up is in a great variety and we were so lost for a while. We got a couple of boxes of tea and biscuits recommended by the show on Netflix (Somebody feed Phil, episode London).
The biscuits were really delicious and satisfying. We regretted that we didn't buy more for friends since it's really a perfect gift with delicate packaging.
M. T.
The most magical place to be at Christmas time! Inspiring interiors, arrangements and the whole building. Even if you are not buying anything, although there is a lot of choice of things you can't buy anywhere else, it is worth it to just visit and explore around ✨☺️
C. L.
Best for Christmas shopping! I will go there just to see how amazing decorations they put on every single year.
I love all their confectionary ❤️❤️❤️
R.
This shop has a different vibe altogether. I love their staff and the tea products. Such lovely options to gift ANYONE. Going to come back here soon :)
D. G.
What can I say! It does not disappoint! Beautiful Christmas decorations in store and to buy, polite staff and an overall festive feel through the store. Definitely worth a visit!
A. O.
We had an awesome time here, the food, service and decor were all amazing.
The afternoon tea was delicious and bottomless! We had a couple of great cocktails, Gin and Tea which was great. Will defo be back again.

What a wonderful place to browse & shop
Staff were excellent & helpful & not sales driven in any way
It’s a teal experience to just wander & shop
The Tea & meats we bought were 1st 🥇 class & price can not replace quality
Not a fan of 10p bag. Hopefully recyclable?
Highly recommend
N. C.
Well worth a visit if only for the decadence of shopping in such an up-market store. Bought some lovely tea's, jams and marmalades.
M. M.
The afternoon tea was booked for a friends 40th. I had emailed the team ahead and they had made it very special. As I am not a fan of sweet cakes, I went for the Savoury afternoon tea and it was amazing! Perfect day
G. B.
Lovely posh store in the heart of London. Delicious chocolate and confectionary. Love the food hall and all the unique Christmas decorations. Is a bit expensive but it is luxury and in london. Definitely worth going if you are visiting London.
N. A.
I visited for afternoon tea. The food was beautifully presented and very tasty. It is great that both sandwiches and cakes can be replaced as many times as you like. We also enjoyed trying a range of teas from the extensive menu.
The price was exorbitant, but it was an unforgettable experience
R.
Great service. The hot chocolate isn’t the thickest creamiest one but is your standard British runny hot chocolate. Recommend the scones over anything!
S. V.
Get a 2nd mortgage and you may be able to buy a few items! All such fine quality produce there though, makes you proud to be British 🇬🇧 Outstanding selection. As always, they know what the people want and lay their produce out accordingly. Pétanque, pétanque, pétanque pétanque pétanque 🎳
I. c. m. n.
Polite and help staff. I bought a small item and they gave me a small bag for it even when I didn’t ask for one.
S. G.
Have always loved the food hall here. Excellent services as always. Staff knowledgeable & really helpful.
C. E.
It did not disappoint. Service was 1st class, as were the sandwiches, cakes, venue etc. Very enjoyable, relaxed experience. Lunch at the local garden centre will never be the same again!
S. P.
Great quality food chocolate coffee and presents. Very helpful staff in good departments and very clean store
l. m.
Purchased some delicious treats before going up to the top floor for afternoon tea which was superb. The staff are wonderful and very attentive. A very enjoyable experience
A. B.
Not a good place to be on the weekend before Christmas, as it’s absolutely packed. But a great selection of tea and biscuits to gift, all very nice and the staff are very helpful (although hard to find in the crowd)
J. L.
I have been to F&M before for their afternoon tea and enjoyed it. Therefore I knew I'd like their selection of sweet and savoury afternoon tea options. If you're unsure of where to go for afternoon tea in London, F&M is a classic and a safe bet. The environment is lovely with a live pianist and the food quality is great, you won't be disappointed with the experience.
My friends and I enjoyed our time so much, we lost track of time and ended up staying a lot longer than the time we were supposed to have for the table. The staff however weren't pushy and only gave a gentle hint that they'll be needing the table back soon. It was sweet of them to still offer us cake despite the time limit.
Many were turned away because the afternoon tea is so popular so please reserve a table in advance.
E. C.
Super touristy and posh. Good branding & packaging. The building itself was like a mini department store especially on the fragrance floor.
A. D.
What a fun store! I have no idea how I had never been before. I had walked by it a million times and never gone in; I even knew of its existence. This time, I ordered my advent calendar and some additional tea to be sent home to the US (£25 shipping for the whole order!) to save on my luggage space. It was a big, reusable, wooden advent calendar. I did buy a refill of the teas for it for next year. There is just so much in this store, and it is a lot less overwhelming than Harrod's. The food is fantastic. I love their brand of teas. The food hall is a lot of fun, and there are so many options. I found many Christmas presents here (food and non-food items)
I highly recommend coming to F&M. Amazing store, fun to walk around. I'll be back the next time I'm in London, and I'll probably order more from the online store in the mean time.
H. E.
The most beautiful food hall I've ever visited. The afternoon tea is my favourite in London, I just love everything about this place! We took our baby and were made to feel very welcome with lots of space for our buggy.
H. B.
Whether you are a pauper or a princess you are treated with equal respect, dignity and wonderful care in this establishment.
A beautiful store and afternoon tea in the Diamond Jubilee Salon is an experience everyone should try.
I will return again and again, I feel so special in their store and there is something affordable for all tastes and purses.
S. A.
This is a luxury shop and definitely worth a visit. Amongst other things you may buy tea and biscuits (My recommendation is pistachio or lemon curd flavours). The honey gin and milk chocolate coated almonds are a hit too. Good place for tourists who want to buy gifts unique from UK and not from a cheap souvenirs shop.
R. M.
Visited just before Christmas. High quality and elegant department store. Best of all was the string duo, beautifully playing Christmas songs and carols.
E. A.
Such a traditional such a nice place.
I can always find rare products there.
The staff is always very helpfull.
P. B.
It's a gorgeous store absolutely fabulous at Christmas. Looking like big old fashioned Christmas as seen on TV. We only pop in to ogle, but if you want speciality teas, extra special pies and delicacies it's the place for you. Not cheap but probably worth it.
M. R.
My escape!! 😍😍 love going there, every time I do I forget abt the outside world!! The atmosphere, the service, the products (that you won't find anywhere else) very unique and magically presented, I love it adore it wanna go there every time I do my walks around central. The chocolaaaaaate YUMMYYYY! Turkish delights. Just go and visit you will never regret it. MAKE SURE YOU VISIT IN CHRISTMAS!! It looks FANTASTIC.
D. E.
It's an upmarket department store where everything is expensive, but the difference in luxury and quality compared to other stores is very clear. If you want to get a special gift for someone and are willing to spend a bit more than usual, then do have a look here.
a.
Lovely place to shop for high quality food related stuffs.
Bought some tea sets, which are a treat to use when having friends/family coming over.
They also have an amazing selection of teas, which I suggest trying. I'm particularly fond of the Assam tea.
They also have a really nice Afternoon tea on the top floor. Price are higher that others around, but definitely worth the price.
S. F.
Nice shop and has high quality goods of tea, coffee, biscuits and more. The store is also beautifully decorated
F. M.
Wow! What an incredible treasure trove of goodies! Expensive but wonderful patisserie, teas to suit every palette, fresh and preserved meats, cheeses, fresh vegetables and fruit and of course, gentleman's relish. Wonderful!
R. M.
What's the wonderful London experience at Fortnum and Masons. The outside display over Christmas with stunning and imaginative highly recommended. Inside the store was a great display certainly felt like the red carpet treatment with the red carpet down.
Had a hot chocolate in the cafe, must say though little more expensive then many hot chocolates, it was certainly far superior to probably most of the chocolates I've had in the past and possibly worth double the price paid, but don't tell them that. Highly recommended.
C. E. S.
Love it. Usually very busy and always expensive but not crazily so for the quality you buy. Worth a visit. We were offered a sample of some very nice fizzy iced tea- delicious!
L. C. (. P.
The afternoon tea can be instgrammable. But I can’t really appreciate the taste (British food you know)
M. L.
A truly British experience. Fantastic service and delicious food.
e. a.
I love this place it so beautiful everyday of the year even more stunning at Christmas Time. Merry Christmas 🎄
R. C.
Awesome place to find whatever you need, it’s massive and the staff is really kind. The only con will be the prices in general are really high not for all the pockets but I guess it’s the level of the area. As a visitor you should visit this place and walk around all the areas!
М. К.
This place is like a fairytale castle in Christmas time 🎄 Great selection of British tea and desserts (and other beautiful things)
M. R.
Absolutely fantastic!
Love the cookies. The Chocolate Macadamia is my favorite.
They have a great Deli/ market upstairs .
Try it is great! Love tgeir shopping bags; I am obsessed with them!
S. P.
This is unique old fashioned department store. Well worth a visit to experience this nostalgic store. Excellent selection of gift items to take home.
S. B.
One of the UK's top landmark shops to visit, been here so many times since I was a child, a Chrsitmas shop is not complete with out a visit to fortnum & Mason. Word of warning though, don't let the wife pick up the £120 crackers!!
S. B.
Love a bit of Fortnam's at Christmas, do many lovely Dec's my wife loves it, one thing the bar is really small so if you wish to drink ...book!
S.
Nice tea shop! Go to the basement and try their sandwiches yummmmm
A. L. K.
This is a truly magical place especially around Christmas. When not too busy it is an utter joy to wander around the floors, try some chocolate, have a tea and shop for some beautifully packed chocolates, tea's, champaign, homeware, jewellary and many other items. They have made it very special with the advent calendar frontage lights display. Stunning to look at!
Q. M.
You can find Macrons tea chocolate biscuits honey jam also many other things
The shop is so popular in London you must visit it.
R. A.
First time having afternoon tea with my princess. Atmosphere and service was amazing. Easy to find. Closest stations are either Picadilly Circus or Green Park, it's half way between the two. Beautiful decor and setting was good for social distancing. Tea and sandwiches were delicious. You can choose from a variety of menus to suit your taste and budget should I add, with the cheapest menu from £62 but if you want to experience this once then it's well worth the experience as you get top service and refillable sandwiches and deserts with tea or hot chocolate (for mini me) top ups so not bad. They are surprisingly very filling. If you have fussy eaters like my one, the staff there are very friendly and offered up jam, Cucumber, cheese, chicken sandwiches simple tastes for kids. I also requested no pork and halal on only in my booking, so they brought out deserts and sandwiches that didn't have gelatine nor any alcohol in them. Very kind and observant of them.
O. D.
Lovely visit, just walking around London. The stuff are great and reasonable price!
L. T.
Fantastic displays of beautiful foods and gifts. Christmas Trees and Tables were Amazing, so well decorated !!!
S. G.
Very pleasant atmosphere with live piano music. Afternoon tea service was very slow though — waited 45 minutes for tea, 1 hour for sandwiches.
K. R.
A great shop to browse. Your saved pennies (££) will be required. Staff are helpful and friendly
P. W.
Excellent place with exceptional service very attentive and explain everything fully if unsure for the afternoon tea.
You're made to feel welcomed on entry and very accommodating for dietary requirements.
Enjoyable experience it's worth a trip as everything from the decor to the food is a wow factor. Provided are lovely boxes should you need to take away any food from cake tier from the various of fresh filled finger sandwich's and mini pasteries absolutely delicious
J. T. C.
A quintessentially English experience that you can't miss. The store is full of amazing teas and treats of high quality. It is a must to wander around and check the luxury goods and excellent options specially for gifts. The whole bulging is a foodie haven from the lower ground market to the upper level. The Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon was inaugurated by the Queen and the best way to get there is booking in advance. The place is charming and cosy, the service is quite attentive, the food is good and the whole ambiance is unique. Almost every day they have a piano player during the afternoon.
Y.
I love this store. It is decorated to perfection. Warm - clean - and tidy. Delicate and exquisite products. Perfect gifts to buy for weddings and to bring back as gifts abroad. It always looks festive and luxurious. 5 floors of beautiful things to buy.
M. J. B.
The food is sublime. So much better than Harrods and there is less obnoxious and stuck up patrons there as well. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to make sure you're happy. For food, either eating in their restaurants or takeaway there's no better place. Try the smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels, sublime.
f. H.
Many things to be thankfull for...
BUT Fortnum&Masons is top of the list!! Great windows; great produce beautifully displayed and service always good ; just dont come home with out a box of chocs or face a " mutiny" .
I cant wait to be able to enjoy a welsh raebit when restuarant re opens .😁
P. G.
A heaven for tea lovers and must visit for tourists. The Christmas decorations are so elegant with rich balance of heritage and glamour.
m.
A multitude of quality and special different products ,item s to purchase at all price ranges
J. C.
Wow. Magical - such a delightful place filled with so many interesting items and exceptionally helpful staff. They really do live up to the premium brand reputation and deliver. Well worth a visit to experience a legendary British institution.
F. H.
What a beautiful store this is. Truly love ❤️ all our gifts. Staff so helpful x
L. R.
Weird place, selling strange stuff, but great fun to visit. I even managed to buy some bargains at 75% discount. We were offered samples of posh tea and very posh biscuits! Excellent visit.
A. M.
Fortnum & Masons is my most favourite shop, which i buy online from all the time. So when in London you just have to have afternoon tea there. Its such a charming tea room with fabulous staff. Would highly recommend visiting whenever you're in London. Its quintessentially British! Love the place
信.
Nice place to shop! Good tea and so many chocolates!
D. M.
Went there to do some after Christmas shopping but the sale was not even near as good as previous times.
G. M.
Always an amazing experience any time! Any time I’m in London I love to visit F&M!!
M. Z.
My partner and I went here for afternoon tea as it was recommended by William Hanson as the best and most traditional afternoon tea. It did not disappoint. A little on the pricier end of the scale but it's definitely a lovely treat and you feast enough! We had a lovely waiter who took care of us and was very attentive. The sandwiches were delicious and our favourite was perhaps the light pastries to finish. However, we made the mistake of stuffing ourselves too much by the time we got to the end...but they cater to your needs and we could take home what was left (they also serve you cake from their selection at the end of your afternoon tea so it can all be a bit much- in a good way!!). Lovely atmosphere and we took advantage of the complimentary top-ups. The savoury afternoon tea was also surprisingly delicious and i would highly recommend! If you are worried about having only savoury and no sweet, you can always share with someone who gets the Afternoon Tea. That way you get the best of both worlds. Either way, you get the cake selection at the end! Thank you for great service and overall an enjoyable experience! We will definitely be coming back.
T. S.
Popped in for a New Year's eve drink. Fancy & cool place. I had the house beer, which was very nice. Kids had great ice creams and we bou5some Christmas decorations in the sale.
D.
Great place to go for holidays shopping, especially if you got big family and look in for one place to buy a lot of presents. Very atmosphere place with nice people. Recommend to visit and enjoy.
P. G.
A must visit when in London during the Christmas period. A unique experience and atmosphere!
A. H.
One of my favourite department store in London, especially tea collection and afternoon tea set, absolutely perfect.
M. A.
Fortnum & Mason’s Salmon Patè with Dill & Mustard is worth giving a try. Rich in taste without being too fishy.
C. F.
Always a highlight, it’s a real pleasure to shop there, and they have lovely packaging so it’s a great place to buy chocolate, jam, tea etc as presents.
Also rather good stationery selection, advent calendars are always excellent, and The Parlour’s ice cream is great too.
The food hall is definitely on the expensive side but has a really good selection and some quite niche products, so it’s worth going for a treat.
A. C.
This place feels like home, it was my first time ever to this beautifully organised store.
I would also like to thank Melody the manager and Isabel who helped me accumulate goodies for 15 customised hampers.
They are real asset to the store, this place is a must visit
C. P.
Fascinating shop. Although quite expensive, it's really interesting to look round. We bought some lovely Christmas decorations. Vast selections of different teas to choose from. Lots of yummy biscuits too. Near the Royal Academy if you're there for an exhibition. An experience not tobe missed!
J. E.
Wow! Beautiful store well worth a visit... pricey of course but thats to be expected glacé fruits and fudge are incredible!
Y. B.
Great customer service. Sandwiches were pleasant, scones were delicious(perfectly baked) and enjoyed the clotted cream and strawberry jam. Unfortunately the hot chocolate could have been richer in flavour and texture and it was served luke warm/cold. Enjoyed the venue, nice afternoon out.
J. A. A.
Beautiful shop and lovely hot chocolate definitely recommend visiting and trying out their hot drinks
C. Y. C.
A wonderful store with some professional and decent staff. The flavour of Fortnum and Mason is unbeatable.
M. P.
Brilliant place for Christmas shopping. It always impresses friends when you give them something from Fortnum and Mason. ( The Royal shop!) Especially the confectionery and drinks sections. The other departments offer an excellent selection of gift ideas too.
Z. S.
The ultimate location for food and drinks. When we visited the building was decorated for Christmas and looked stunning. Had a fantastic set of Christmas goods on the 3rd floor. Its just such q,treat to visit at any time of year.
The Christmas windows this year (2021) are so sweet. My daughter absolutely loved looking at them.
J. J.
We spent a beautiful couple of hours in the wonderful Fortnum and Mason. Picked up some ideas for a future trip when we are back in this part of London.
A. P.
Fortnum & Mason is one of those places in London with a certain magic and charm - especially around Christmas! We are such avid fans of everything F&M - from their iconic hampers to their products and afternoon tea! They also produce and sell the only champagne brand not from a specific vineyard that we actually like!
If you're lucky enough to visit after Halloween, you'll be greeted by the most festive setting around the shop and a visit to the Christmas floor is a must! We love love love everything F&M! The quality of products are second to none.
J. A.
Just ordered my new collection of fortnum and Mason s tea including Christmas selection
Love their royal , breakfast and afternoon blend
Will try Christmas tea as well
Would definitely recommend their teas
J. H.
We popped into the Parlour for something to eat. We had the Parlour Tea which was Welsh rarebit luxury (bacon on top), two hot scones with jam and butter and a cup of coffee which had a dinky ice cream cone attached to the side (nice touch) . It cost £50.63 including service charge. It was actually worth every penny for the quality and overall experience. We only had time to shop on two floors but had a great time. I have never seen so many different marmalade and honey varieties in one place. Hope to visit this store again.
k. i.
Excellent afternoon tea. Lots of food and more if you wanted!
Great service and very friendly and professional staff.
N. M.
Fantastic shop ,very good quality food and gifts 🎁
S. W.
This shop is a true iconic British establishment for food and drink. The loose leaf tea is amazing, best raspberry jam preserve, very good biscuits etc and the packaging is very nice. I dropped one star because it does get super busy on weekends / build up to Xmas. Visited yesterday and I felt the service was below my expectations due to the amount of customers in the shop and it was very hard to move around and shop peacefully.
M. I.
An excellent experience as always. Casual but still luxurious atmosphere. Staff was professional and friendly, not pushy but caring. Sandwiches were the usual great quality, the scones were fresh and tasty especially the courgette and chive scone. The pastries were beautifully presented and very tasty. Usual wide selection of teas.
One thing… the plate holder was wobbly, and it kept me thinking when it’s going to fall over.
P. J.
Weekly grocery shop provided a pleasant experience. Whilst a view items were out of stock (visit just prior to close on a Sunday) the service and alternative options gave us the desired result.
N.
F&M high tea is the best. If you have vegan friends they also have a vegan option. It’s all you can eat and drink (tea). My best is five pots!!
R.
The place is amazing, it is a lovely place to visit after going to Harrods.I got my tote shopping bag as a souvenir😍🥰
A. B.
Excellent service, excellent food. While waiting for my friends to turn up I ordered the Clara Coupe the delicious vanilla ice cream with Madagascan vanilla and caramelised walnuts and the crushed crunchy ginger nut biscuit trimmings made the experience memorable. Once the friends arrived we had a Earl Gray Tea with scones, clotted cream and wonderful strawberry jam. Delicious food and wonderful company. Thank you Fortnum for a memorable visit.
C. G.
My favourite of the London department stores famed for its food halls and restaurants. I came away loaded with biscuits, teas, and treats. Their chocolates are to die for. I really ❤️ this place and it reminds me of childhood visits to London.
M. N.
The Customer Service is excellent. The lovely lady serving me gave me a bag, some tissue paper and ribbon so that I can wrap up the present u brought in there. All the staff welcomed me. My only disappointment was that there was a group of staff in group by a till chatting amongst themselves whilst I was trying to get their attention. I would recommend the store to anyone wanting to buy a special gift.
M.
Love this shop and not that pricey for the quality and 'Englishness' ' that you pay for👍
G. T.
Great place.
Fantastic food, homewares and clothing.
It's where the Queen gets her groceries... So can't be bad!
Bars, tea rooms and restaurants on site.
Very pleasant away from the hustle and bustle of Central London
E. E.
Great customer service & very tasty posh chocolates. Highly recommended.
E. R.
Lots of tea and the Christmas decorations are incredible
R. M.
I went to care their Christmas Windows, lights and decorations..I just missed the clock chine the hour.
They do the front of the shop up really nice and the windows above become an advert calendar.this years Windows mark dates of Fortnum & Mason.
The shop itself was closed due to covid
But I know that you can buy lots of different things there.. items from around the world
A. H.
Beautifully decorated at Christmas every year, outside and in. Love the displays and contents. They have the most delish biscuits. Love the restaurants within.
A. B.
What a good selection of Austrian wines they had... superb....
O. C.
I have no words to describe the beauty of this place.
It was a mistake that I didn't come earlier, but still amazed and left without any word of what I saw.
The decorations were 10/10, the people were so well dressed and well looking.
Definitely it is one of the best places I visited in these last 2-3 years.
See you again Fortnum & Mason. ❤
N. W.
Because it’s such an old building it is difficult to move around if you have mobility difficulties. Has a rich history.
Some things are not as expensive as you would think. But there are some prices which make you gasp.
Biscuits are so good that I almost cried (only joking).
M. S.
What can be said of this place, except words of amazement! 'The' place to come if you're looking for something extra special to eat and drink. From chocolates and cakes to hampers and fine wine. Gifts to impress. Super busy though!
R. S. (. w. R.
Was served by a lovely lady, called Sara, on the chocolate counter. She was polite, knowledgeable and allowed us to try one of the more bizarre flavours that they had on offer - a Baked Bean truffle. Surprisingly good actually. I adore F&M, but Sara was definitely passionate about her job and made the experience even better.
n. c.
Amazing products and fantastic customer service 👌👌
I was walking around looking for ideal gifts for a hamper until one of the lovely staff said I could get custom blended tea which I couldn't resist purchasing.
I also brought a few bargains from the sales corner .
A must visit place for everyone!!
S. B.
I just love the football and their Christmas section (each year) the cabbage styled ceramics are a bit random, am seeing them everywhere. Some of the other dishes presented there were from last year...that alice in wonderland themed ceramic... I love to see quirky items such as the shower caps last year. WHERE CAN I ENJOY TEA? I have your cookbook but wouldn't mind the true experience...

Wow what a place to shop in. I did my last Christmas hampers shop here yesterday. I had a personal shopper with me to choose my items for the hampers I was creating. Picked it all up at the end of the day. Fantastic customer service. All the staff always have a smile on their face
A. G.
Brilliant shopping paradise for the rich and well-heeled. You can shop like the Queen here for tea, coffee or fancy delicious food such as truffles, organic smoked salmon and parmesan as well as truffle olive oil or honey. Simply divine
J. W.
Always a pleasure!
If you wanted to find a shop quintessential British, this is the place.
Lovely food, pleasant atmosphere, always recommended.
C. R.
First time back to shop in Fortnum & Manson. Glad they still keep to their friendly, helpful, smiling service. Simply love the F&Manson's tea. Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍
D. K.
Love coming here around Christmas time. The chocolates, biscuits and tea are amazing! Obviously pricey, but great quality. Worth visiting even if you don't plan on purchasing anything.
Z. S.
A great shopping centre with splendid Christmas Decoration.
L. P.
Very crowded. Maybe the time I visited was near valentine. They offer gift wrapping with beautiful bow tied ribbons . Just need to buy a box on the 3r floor then they will wrap for you.
A. S.
This is one of the best place to buy tea, cakes, chocolate and wines. They offered everything in a very well presented and good tasted. Staffs are so nice as well
S. H.
We love this store. Every floor is a pleasure. The Christmas decorations are already in the store. Lovely window displays. The manager in the wine dept was very gracious and friendly. He sorted out a wine purchase/query for us. We found lots of gift ideas that we will be buying when we return in a week or so. You have to visit Fortnum and Masons. You just have to!
M. S.
Heaven for luxury food hunters. Although it is not as impressive as the endless food hall of Harrods, it still provides you with that post-pandemic feeling of luxury shopping, with prices being about 5 times higher for the same products as M&S offers.
S. “. b.
Love the wine bar here. Great choice of wines
J. H.
One of my favourite places ever! Visited on Thursday and had such a lovely time browsing the store. I would recommend to everyone visiting that they purchase at least one thing when visiting because the quality is amazing. A cut above the rest when compared to others like Selfridges, which in my opinion is nothing too special. The service and quality cannot be beaten at Fortnum’s in my opinion.
R.
Christmas Hamper ordered for a friend arrived with bottles smashed. F&M did rectify the issue but not until late in January and too late for Christmas. Review bump up from 1 star to 3 stars for how they efficiently rectified the problem.
P. P.
An expensive department store. Worth a visit to tick off the bucket list.
L. C.
Afternoon tea 2 for 1 until the end of August. So glad I went, you have a choice of Afternoon tea (sweet), Savoury Tea or High Tea. There was two if us so we chose Afternoon Tea and High Tea so we could share. You can ask for refills, cakes and sandwiches and there is plentiful, the waitress kept asking us if we wanted more and we had to refuse more ☺. The customer service was excellent 👏 waitress was so friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough for us. I've been to many Afternoon Teas and this has to be one of the best, would definitely recommend it.
R. C.
A London institution and for good reason. The food hall, chocolate, candied fruit, biscuits, coffee, etc are all great and honestly not crazy priced given the reputation and location. Great quality and the staff have always been really nice and helpful.
S. F.
Beautiful place, very traditional British central London high end shop. Great for gifts of biscuits, chocolate and TEA!!! In the basement you have a wine bar, cheeses, meats. There's also a cafe!
Their biscuit tins are traditional design plus double as a music box. You can lose yourself in there for quite some time. If you haven't been and you want to see high class Britishness selling great biscuits, chocolate, food and more importantly TEA! I highly encourage you to visit.
D. P.
Gorgeous store 🏬 with luxury products for perfect tea time 🫖. Try their Earl grey tea range and rose jam and biscuits 🍪. Excellent customer service! Visiting this store is always a pleasure !
m. p.
Uncovering happiness from @fortnums 💕 Drooling and warming delicacies with a soft and creamy layer of milk and dark chocolate with some wonderful cookies that's heart melting🤎
⚠️
Warning : Might jump out of the screen and straight into your heart💜
K. U.
The store is always well presented with a wonderful variety of goods. I especially love the food and confectionary and the staff working on the chocolate counter are always smiley and welcoming. Great place for gifts and souvenirs from the capital.
O. “. d. t. S.
I love this shop!! I haven't been here for years! We were asking advice on Cava & the man was very helpful & pleasant! When we went to pay for our items another man was also very pleasant & helpful! The person serving us on the cheese counter was very professional! We had a great conversation with all of them! A fabulous, iconic shop! Love it!
H. A.
The most unique department store in London, you must visit when u r passing through Piccadilly circus and nice selection of English tea available
R. D.
Had Afternoon Tea in the Diamond Jubilee Salon. Exceptional service for the price you pay, refills on everything. Products and quality is top notch but very expensive. Great for tourists who love the brand.
E. S.
This place not only have history, it has very good luxurious and quality products, customer service is excellent, is not cheap but believe me it worth it, if you want to indulge yourself or give a very special present to someone, this is the right place. Recommendation, you cannot leave the place without buying the signature chocolates of Fortum and Mason, like Royal blend dusted truffles and the Heinz baked beans truffles, amazing! 👍
A. M.
Delightful supermarket on Picadilly. The children adore the Ice Cream Parlour on the first floor (and daddy is quite fond of the champagne bar in the basement!)
P. B.
One of my favourite stores in London, best scones , and a nickabocka glory a must .always get some gentlemen's relish and a pot of Stilton .
P. C.
Everything is over over over priced but the quality is good. Not worth the money but still great.
M.
I love coming here, especially at Christmas. Great quality produce, the restaurant and tea room are both amazing, and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Definately worth a visit when you are in town.
A. B.
This store is not only a touristic destination but a real monument of English taste. Besides the obvious souvenirs there is a real selection of great products and a superb celebration of British pottery. The tea pots offer is simply beautiful and worth a visit.
The available food choice is huge going from the nice chocolate and biscuit selection to the meats and cheeses in the underground floor.
The decor of the store is quintessential English and worth a visit.
T. H.
You feel like you've stepped back in time for a visit. Lovely ambiance. Not to pricey considering. Great gin
E. C.
Lovely tea for pretty pound. This is my favorite tea shop in London. I’ve enjoyed afternoon tea in their Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon so it is nostalgic to visit their boutique tea shop. I love browsing their selections of teas, biscuits, and other products and splurging to take home the experience.
P.
A nice staff 1st floor told us about this restaurant that we can try all variety of teas and cakes. We decided to give it a try. It was quite an experience to learn England’s culture since this is my first time in Uk.
All scones and cakes were delicious!!
Service was just so so once they know we were first time here. We had to wait a long time to get teas、 scones refills. My server wasn’t really paying much attention to us compare to other English customers. But he did show up at last to led us know this table was reserved by another customers.
The downstairs department store was amazing!! Staffs were really nice. I wanna to buy everything from them. Just department store will have 5 stars.
M. P.
It is a must see during Christmas period. If you are a tea lover, then Fortnum & Mason is a must duting the whole year. They have a really large and fine selection of different teas, cookies, sweets, accessories... During the pre-Covid era they also had a restaurant where you could eat, we hope we go back to normality soon and they can open again. See photos for the 2020 Christmas decorations ;)
P. B.
Fortnum's best store in London, even more lovelier at Christmas. Store amazing inside, beautifully decorated. Christmas trees adorn everywhere, windows on the street, once again tell a story to those passing by at this time of the year. Gifts inside provide you with a chance to buy that little something that's a little more special.
Fortnum & Mason one of Londons treasures.
H. M.
Bought some teas and biscuits there today. Lovely place. That was the first time I had been there. I will definitely be going again.
M. S.
Whenever we visit London we always stop off here for the tea and confectionary. Don't forget you can pay for your stuff at any till...so many queue for ages with empty tills on the tea and coffee corners. The staff are excellent.
T. T. B.
We had the afternoon tea here yesterday. Great selection of teas, extremely friendly staff, lovely atmosphere.
However, we weren’t so impressed with the sandwiches and scones. One sandwich was extremely salty and the scones and cream were far from our homemade experience in Devon. We had higher expectation for this.
Z. D.
This is The best shop in London, everything is beautiful here, with heritage and the best taste, absolutely top quality products, costumer service and staff are marvellous. You will always come out of this shop with the greatest smile and wonderful memories that will bring you back again and again and you won’t ever forget.
R. T.
There's a reason this place is one of the best known food shops on the planet and indeed it's worth a visit just for the atmosphere. That said, it actually has a very good and really quite practical food hall on the lower ground floor still, with a particularly fine cheese counter.
D. N.
Great store. Special. Iconic. Classic. Very worthwhile to visit. I hope you enjoy all the that Fortnum & Mason has to offer.
S.
Great place to shop & eat, we were there on New year's day for afternoon tea which was Good value for money, the staff are very professional and friendly, we were served by Aggi a Turkish lady who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable too, thank you to all the hard workers at Fortnum & Masons.
S. B.
I highly recommend the afternoon tea experience at the Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon. The service was impeccable and the food was amazing. It's also worth noting that it's unlimited afternoon tea so get more of the food you love, and if there's any left over, they're happy to provide you with boxes and a bag to take it home with you!
A. J.
I am not their customer because of their price but I must say the shop assistants were really kind and welcomed me. I just popped in to get a bit of Christmas spirit only.
Quality products for sure everything they sell.
Very clean and well maintained shop.
R. O.
Such a wonderful experience, I met two extremely helpful members of the team, one guy in the Wine who helped me with the tasting machine and one sure friendly helpful lady who was Irish. They really added to the experience..... And I have a Christmas Pudding to look forward to!!
J. D.
Excellent, Coffee and 2 Scones with Cream and Jam were very good value too, cheaper than Covent Garden too.
K. S.
One of the most authentic pure English tea shop. It is so expensive for many people but it with. Some of the tea pots look like a piece of art. I liked the details and colors. The display show on the main street attract us to go inside the shop. It is worth to give it a try.
R. P.
What can I say... Fortnums is simply perfection. The service is exquisite, and I had my first try of caviar there at the caviar counter. It cannot be faulted. Although I clearly have no money, they still treated me so generously, and their blue cheese is amazing!
M. D.
So many gorgeous items, innovative designs, and delicious treats! Definately worth a visit for gifts and decorative furnishings. I really like the stairways too!
L. F.
The Most decadent food and gift shop in London. The building and company are steeped in history. It is truly a fabulous experience not to be missed.
C. Y.
The best place to shop for tea and biscuits!
B. P.
An absolutely amazing experiene. High tea was simply divine.
Will definitely go again when I am back in London.
S. H.
Downgrading rating from 4 to 3. Your staff need to be both trained and in communication with eachother. I was told I could skip the long queue by going to the 'Tea' desk and I would be helped there with payment for my purchase. After a few minutes of waiting in that queue, I was then told I wouldn't be helped because the checkout was only for bespoke tea purchases - no discussion or concession made. So I joined the long queue, again. I also always feel like I'm treated like a potential thief whenever I visit. Not sure if it's because I don't live in Mayfair, don't drive a Bentley, and don't swim in obnoxious perfume, but it's disconcerting.
L. V.
Feel like a princess when I walked into the place full of beautiful little things and so good selections of cheese, curved meat as well as gorgeous tea pots, tea set and all other kind of tea and sweets or condiments..I simply love shopping in this place
D. G.
Wonderful chrismassy 🌲 and staff were helpful. Free booze to taste 🍷 and couldn't work out why I couldn't find Mulled wine. Abit dispointed. Ladies toilet was hard to find!!! Not cleared sign post...
Bought some booze there. Best ever shop in world.
And I did stock counting there when It was closed. I'm from London but live in Essex now
D. M.
Not really sure what the fuss is about here.
Well for me anyway.
Went for afternoon tea, it was ok .The best part about the afternoon tea was the staff, they were all really nice. Make you feel comfortable and welcome.
The store itself is very expensive.
I think some folks feel spical because they but stuff from fortnum&mason. Go see for yourself. I wasn't overly impressed.
T. D.
First time in this store. Very nice place to visit. Lots of tea and chocolates too buy. Bought the most gorgeous Xmas decoration from there. A must visit. Beautiful old department store.
K. G.
Fancy shop, gr8 products, fancy hampers - famous for these especially during Xmas, fancy goods and fancy prices. Fancy little, cute bar on 3rd floor as well. Nice for a gentle drink while pottering around Green Park/Piccadilly/Leicester Square/Soho etc.! One of the older stalwart department stores with a royal charter - definitely a must-go in London.
R. T.
Pricey but you don't go there every week it was exactly what we expected . The afternoon tea was fantastic and refilled when ever we asked,, the staff was top draw
H. A.
Always a pleasure, from the gorgeous window displays and internal store designs, the speciality products and of course the brilliant staff and service. A lovely and enjoyable experience. Try to book into the Afternoon Tea also if you can. Delicious!
J. T.
Amazing gluten free afternoon tea, the staff are so lovely, great selection of teas to choose from, but what would you expect from Fortnum & Mason, they are very catering to your needs and the food gift bags for you to take home if you don't finish the scones or cakes is just divine, highly recommended. Then shopping in the food hall to finish, great afternoon out.
s. s. R.
One of my favourite shops in London if you love tea . There is always something for everyone here and so beautiful including a food hall downstairs and homeware upstairs it's a real treat every time I visit
R. D.
I love Fortnum and Mason. The deep pile carpets as you walk around are great for the feet. The sheer uniqueness of items that you can find on the many floors is an inspiration as the holiday season approaches.
A.
It very posh place and they also have a restaurant there.
Probably one of most visited place during Christmas 🎄 and it has a great lights and windows display. You should visit if you haven't been.
R. S.
Pleasantly surprised by the price of items for sale. The store has a reputation of being expensive, however we found prices for items like tea no more expensive than other premium retailers.
Lovely store, well designed and welcoming
d. J.
Good to buy as a souvenirs. Every product package is beautiful. Shortbread is my favorite one
A. M.
Well. What can I say. Fortnum and Mason is a very expensive shop. But I suppose the Queen gets her hampers from here? Its worth a look around to just go eeee at the prices of everything and then put it back on the shelf. We went to to see what Christmas decorations they had. Put the £25 plastic bauble back. 😂
V. J.
Genuinely great staff, great tea, all around a great experience. Dont expect to get out without spending quite a bit if you love tea. Lol
J.
Feels like your in tea heaven! I’m not a tea person but I was fascinated by the store. The staff were super helpful and nice.
M. M.
What a fun place to go shopping! So many delicious products and with a whole area designed for planning a picnic. We bought pork pies and scotch eggs and chocolates, cheeses and crackers and had a delicious treat.
R. K.
I always have a problem with companies that market themselves on exclusivity. Some posh trumped up goods in fancy designed boxes without any real substance in there.
Here is my experience. First hamper was great. Second average and then third way overpriced. Waitrose would have sufficed.
However sometimes there is a gem in there and I got one recently. This got them the three stars because it was at one before. A bit like a fortune cookie - never know what comes out.
So as my gran would say “Afternoon tea in London died when it became a tourist attraction. Out went the effort and in came the pomp and ceremony. Darling a scon is a scone is a scon”
D. V.
One of my favourite shop in London. The food hall is outstanding, you can always find something great to try. Their afternoon tea and parlour are definitely worth trying to.
T.
Good place for high tea and buying back cute sets of kettles or other Such homeware things.
I. M. M.
My first stop when I arrive in London. The interior and exterior are fabulous. Great gifts for all budgets. I will of course come back.
M. C.
Truly British feel shopping experience and heritage. Don’t expect you can only find tea bag here, you can also find food market and fashion stuff here! Worth to pay a visit if you come to London!
Y. I.
Vincent Aymerich at F&M Bank branch is most helpful and very knowledgeable with all wine selections and had helped me in the past years and now to choose the best suitable wines as gifts to family/friends for different occasions or for X'mas. Would highly recommend Vincent for great wine selection advice if anyone,s in doubt with the choice of wine.
T. P.
Never had the pressure to go in here yet looks amazing but I do love the Christmas lights
n. j.
This store is top of the shelf but the prices were shockingly reasonable. The elegance is felt upon entering and the atmosphere reflect it as well. This store deserves a 10 for its quality and price points
F. S.
The most wonderful afternoon tea experience ever. Beautiful place, wonderful food and great staff.
A. F.
This time, with the delta variant, f&m wasn't so crowded. What a lovely experience. And the staff was so pleasant. We bought a few delectable items and gifts for our family back in New York. Wonderful.
N. R.
Ate at the bar in the restaurant. Food and service was impeccable. A great treat place for lunch.
K. A.
It looks really special and the service is amazing. When you walk in it’s just beautiful how the inside looks. And of course the products are perfect gifts for all ages and occasions. It’s worth every penny.
G. R.
Quite expensive goods but of a very high quality. Lots of food and grocery choices, this is a refined shop for the discerning customers!
P. B.
Madiha Sultan is an absolute star in Corporate Gifting at Fortnum.
I had a last-minute order of hampers for our clients and Madiha guided me through the process and made it totally painless.
Madiha is efficient, helpful and pleasant. A real credit to the company, a great ambassador for the brand and a brilliant Concierge Gifting Executive!
P. W.
One of London's finest imporiums and places to eat and drink. Always worth a visit and always something to bring home.
R. K.
Adorable store. Large variety of deli, infuses teas , cookies, handmade chocolates, glazed fruits on display and lots more. Rabia at the till was very kind and professional. I will visit again for my favourite macadamia nut cookies
M. C.
Well worth a visit, if only to buy expensive chocolate and biscuits! Only you can decide if they are value for money or not!
D. L.
Lovely store spoilt ourselves in the food hall. There wedding breakfast tea in honour of William and Kate's wedding my favourite.
P. S.
Beautiful, huge department store, seems to be a very good place for buying gifts or just glancing at the perfectly arranged products.
Everything looks exquisite, and of course everything has a matching not-so-nice price.
You must visit this store even if just for a few minutes, even though I’m sure once you enter, you’ll never want to leave.
r. b.
What can I say about the lovely store its absolutely amazing- check out the chocolate and sweets- my wife bought me 2 of the hampers I am a lucky boy top recommended
s. p.
Went for the make your own ice cream sundaes.
Very good quality ice cream as you would expect from F&M also had the milk choc hot chocolate, again very good.
S. R.
Beautiful shop. Great products. Great for gifts. Have very 'normal' things such as tea's and jams but with unique flavours. Restaurants looked very nice. Could be seen as expensive but I think they are well priced for the uniqueness of the products.
A. K.
This place is a London classic, great for shopping British goods and lovely for an afternoon tea as well
M. D.
Went into the fragrance area, gentleman serving could not have been more helpful. Excellent service.
D. W.
What can you say a more expensive than normal afternoon tea but we'll worth it staff out of this world nothing to improve hear
I. A.
Tea, prosecco, craft beer, and sandwich's scones and cakes. ☕🥂🍾🍻🥐🍓🍰Wonderful. Great time with family, great quick kind informative service. Delightful.
T. I.
Retail Fantasy! This store is beautiful. The displays are amazing. The staff immaculaty dressed. Only popped into buy some tea for a friend and wasn't aware of the brand. But I Am glad got the chance to see and experience this superb level of retail excellence.
K. E.
Love going into F&M when we are in London. Real style. Not many places where you are served a the till by someone in a morning suit.
S. W.
The ever helpful staff helped me choose an exceptional gift for a VIP that was received very well. Very impressive staff - two thumbs up!
S. T.
Very quiet at the moment- staff are lovely! Bathrooms are open, but only the ground and basement floors are. There’s a much smaller range obviously!
H. I.
Had a wonderful evening browsing and treated myself as well. Staff are welcoming and friendly. The deco is fabulous so luxurious and elegant. Would love to have this building as my home!!😄. Opulent staircases and merchandise jaw dropping. Beautiful store and building.
S.
Lots of different sections to this store although I only visited the tea and coffee shop. So many varieties on hand and you can try them out to as they give you samples. Biscuits and chocolate samples are also available to try before purchasing. Very friendly and helpful staff as you would expect from this prestigious store.
L. C.
Beautiful place, amazing biscuits, tea selection. Great to buy presents. Top quality products. 100% recommended

Love the food hall; scotch eggs are the best. Staff always friendly.

Our second time here and we loved it! Mariana was absolutely amazing at recommending teas to us and made the experience even better! Thank you!

Lovely and beautiful shop. We enjoyed afternoon tea and cake ☕

Favourite place in the whole wide world
W. C.
My favourite shop. Sometimes everyone need some luxury. Tomatoes, oranges, dried strawberries and... Pasta prepared in 5 min - with any sauce and parmigiano ☀
L. P.
Absolutely love this place. Staff are the best in the business. Everything is reasonably priced and the quality is excellent. Took away one star as I miss the gentlemen's department that used to be on the third floor. This has now been merged on the second floor. Hope they open this again soon.
A. L.
It's interesting too see most people on the street walked past by with a light blue bag in the hands, and I was one of them. The store has wide variety of products.
S. D.
Nice store to visit if you want to feel traditional Brittain, or to go shopping if your wallet can handle it.
J. P.
Now this was so nice and amazing the cake is out of this world never had such a beautiful slice of cake spectacular diamond jubilee tea salon 😍😀❤💕💖😋
A. H.
Amazing experience! Food, staff, ambiance! Highly recommended
B. S.
A wonderful store in the center of town. Lots of touristy bits on the ground floor, but the real gem is the lower ground where you can find some lovely booze and fresh food.
S. T.
Love this place! A London must do.... one of the very best.
S. M.
One of the very beautiful places to visit and shop in London !
G.
Full of interesting gifts and lovely products. love the old building and it's a popular tourist destination to shop so does get busy on the weekends.

Very beautiful building! Lovely shopping. Best selection of tee! Highly recommend!
Y. S.
Amazing store. Went there to buy Christmas presents for my boyfriend, ended up spending couple of hours there there are so many intresting items and gifts at the store.
J.
I did not come in but visited to appreciated its lively advent calendar Christmas decoration! My favourite in the whole of Mayfair 🎄
A. H.
The afternoon at Fortnum and Mason was lovely. Cakes and sandwiches were tasty, the pot of tea was perfect and champagne was crisp and cold. Service was very good, we enjoyed it immensely.
i. u.
Here for Afternoon Tea, and then picked up a couple of bits as a side to Sunday dinner. Items that just add that special touch. We are lucky, we live in London. If you don't, and are just visiting, you must put this place on your schedule. In addition to the products they sell, and the food they serve, you will not forget the great service. I love it.
S. B.
Some lovely Christmas baubles and the 4th floor queue moved very quickly. Loved the way the two sides of the staircase was used for a one way system.
c. h.
Really busy but clean and tidy with helpful knowledgeable staff on hand - pricey but a one off must visit
D. S.
Prices seem to have escalated this last few years, and my favourite relaxing bar up on 3rd floor now only cocktails and spirit's, and no gentlemen's outfitters there now, sadly don't intend to revisit, it's lost it's historical character.
J.
A lovely and grand place for shopping and having a tea!!! Will try the afternoon tea next time!
J. A.
Fabulous afternoon tea. A real special treat. Great sandwiches and cakes and scones. And there was no stopping the replenishments. A fabulous time
G.
A true one of a kind experience that can’t be replaced! From exquisite tea sets to exotic flavoured teas, it’s truly an amazing place to shop and offers perfect things to gift away
L. C.
As always a pleasant shopping experience. However this store remains cashless, which I feel is discriminatory against those who wish to use cash , are elderly, have disabilities or don't have a bank card
D. H.
An iconic place to shop. Busy, but dispays well spaced out so did not feel overcrowded. I foubd all the staff to be very courteous and helpful, even to tourists.
m. a.
I felt like Charlie, in Charlie and the chocolate factory, the range of cookies and likes...I will definitely go back
M. C.
Excellent tea and scone, wonderful combination. However, the service needs to be upgrade...even though the service attitude is impeccable, but lack of manpower to serve.
u. c.
Amazing store and stunning displays. Gorgeous patisserie and fresh produce as well as every blend of tea. Love the hampers.
D. A.
Very interested and many nice things to eat. The layout of the store is amazing
s. p.
I shall say I go there a lot. So often that staffs at food hall know me. As people know it's a British high end store attracting tourists. But above that it offers decent food and drink.... wine, coffee, tea... some wine events too
W. H. C.
As soon as I entered the building I was overwhelmed. The pretty displays of the sweets and the tea tasting bar comforted every sense of mine. It is the perfect place for choosing exquisite souvenirs for family, friends and of course for myself! It is so elegant and obviously very popular for afternoon tea. Looking forward to my next visit!
R. D. P.
A very special place. Classic music and everywhere you look, there are beautiful things to see. The staff is very charming
Z. L.
Absolutely love Fortnums, high quality products, today had afternoon tea & was amazing. Staff fantastic friendly & food delicious, highly recommend & look forward to going back
D. J.
Service & Decor is absolutely fabulous & with High Tea you have a choice of Hot & Classic Food; So Delicious. I can't recommend highly enough.
N. H.
Fortnum's is a highlight of visiting London. If you go to one premium store, go here and not to Knightsbridge. Coming inside one feels rather like Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffanies, as if you are entering a special space where everything will be better.
Gorgeous products, at all prices, and you'll always get a lovely green carrier bag! Staff are mostly top notch and very friendly (wine department maybe a bit less), not at all snooty. All in all marvellous.
A. G.
The Field, utter professionals until past closing time. All staff I interacted with, restaurant, shop floor, front of house, all were very polite and knew their specialities/areas very well.
C. B.
Lovely place to go for that little bit of luxury. Friendly staff and good selection of treats and staples.
L. B.
Where the rich people go I imagine. So much beautiful chocolate, I can't imagine how many calories are inside this store. A must when in London
J. N.
Beautiful surroundings spotlessly clean excellent staff loads of beautiful items to give as gifts or spoil yourself
P. N. A.
Awesome wine selection and spirit selection in the basement. Love the tea selection on the ground floor as well. Super pretty store to go in and walk around to be honest with lots of yummy biscuits and chocolates. The grocery section is sooo nice. You'll see so much delicious food you are bound the get hungry.
t. w. j. f.
Very nice very dear lol but love to have a look around and the food is nice
M. K.
Elegant, traditional style with modern twist, all things frome fine tea, glassware, plate sets, sweets, biscuits, dried fruit, unique gifts.
H. U.
Who doesn’t like this place?
I could come here for the afternoon tea a million times. It’s simply the best!
C. S.
We do like Fortum & Masons. Lots of different things to enjoy. Quite different to average high street chain fare.
R. L.
Big place with massive collection of coffee, tea, and chocolates. Afternoon Tea, is located at 4th floor of the building accessible via rather small lift.
M. A.
Ohhh my favorite store in whooooole London. Tea, biscuits, jams etc etc ...... etc and they all sooooo tasteful. Ohhh its soooo heavenly beautiful.!.!.!
O. S.
Nice fancy experience. Try the earl gray tea 😉
T. f. t. D.
It's like a Dickensian Christmas but you don't just have to peer through the windows. Oodles to see, lots of gift ideas, and wonderful musical biscuit tins.
L. V.
Love the food selection. One of the first places to have ruby chocolate so great to try. Also tried the afternoon tea which had great service and I love the fact everything on the tray is refillable. Their lemon curd is so good.
Also on the ground floor towards the back sometimes they have discounted goods which is great value.

Beautiful building
The interior is beautiful. We had afternoon tea in the diamond jubilee. The room was absolutely beautiful and elegant, the service was equisite. It really was a great experience. The only negative thing I would say about the place is that it was ridiculously overpriced.
T. W.
It was quite crowded on a "new normal" Sunday. Feels amazing to be in a historic building which still exist till this day.
R. O.
Beautifully presented, both inside & outside, with lots of wonderful, packaged foodie presents for Christmas.
Go there for the uplifting experience of Christmas coming!
A. C.
Came here for high tea. Was not disappointed. They top up the top plate as many times you want (though we were done after one top up) and also an additional choice of cake right at the end as well.
Impeccable service and just delicious
Would come back.

Classy, historic department store. Beautifully decorated. Particularly famous for their teas (you can get a wide selection of their own brand of teas and infusions, either in bags or loose leaf). You can pair your tea with some fresh scones in the cafe on the first floor.
M. P.
Really nice shopping experience, but the prices are a bit exaggerated in my opinion.
E.
Posh as ever.
I. B.
Superb store with so friendly staff....pls can the store ad to their staff Christmas gift also a teapot to go together with the tea? 🤗
A. B.
It is an iconic place to shop for gifts or souvenirs to brag about back home
D. K.
So amazing on another level, service was amazing 👏 staff so eager to please spent a small fortune, looking forward to having afternoon tea 🍵 adored all the Christmas products in store all be it September 😀
j. h.
My friend took me there as a treat, as came up to top floor for our afternoon tea ,greeted with a warm lovely smile, piano playing in the foyer behind reception, waiting service was lovely nothing to much trouble ,we had gluten free set afternoon tea, sandwiches we're gorgeous, and you were asked if would like more , scones were huge with jam and lemon, mini deserts were a little lacking for me , but that could just be my taste palette , whole experience was truly wonderful .
T. H.
Tables too close together. Sat beside the cash register and ordering computer. Beef excellent, potatoes hard, cauliflower good. Service good.
A. Z.
Always a treat going here! Had a hamper made and everyone was very helpful
G. G.
It's like Borgin and Burke's from Harry Potter, but a real place. The best place for tea, bar none. An amazing building with amazing products. What Harrods wishes it was.
C. K.
Delicious food and drink here to suit all prices and tastes.
Y. A.
Very nice place to see they even have their own brand of honey their own bees on roof, bees get the honey from hide park wild flowers, I love it keep the bees alive

M. D.
Beautiful and quite unique store. Lots of charm and a great Christmas mood.
L. F.
Great experience as our first afternoon tea in London. So many different types of tea you could have here. Definitely a blast for a tea lover. Scones are amazing! Will come back one day to do some tea shopping:)
M. L.
Top notch purveyors of tea, wine, confections.also has a large selection of fragrances and accessories both for men and women alike. A bit busy after lunch so go early. Easy check-out
胡.
The most lavish tea choice and tea wear in London, the shopping here is a tasteful journey, from a bag of Tea and a single cup and soccer to the living style, what Fortnum & Mason displays here is not just a tea brand but an richness of English tea culture ,which allows you finding a depth from Englishmen’s tea history, and most importantly a sense of ultimate form of "refinement".
S. C.
Very eclectic store. Nice store to visit. Good selection of food and drink.
D. M.
My Wife's favourite shop. For me I can highly recommend the 'Rest room' Staff were brilliant
K. R.
Absolutely amazing place! The place is 300 yo and it’s beautiful. The tea salon is wonderful very nice foods and desserts. But the wait could be long even if you have reservations.
A. W.
A great place to visit and shop. You'll be treated with so much respect. My coffee connoisseur was the highlight of my visit.
S. S.
We had high tea here at 11am on a Saturday and it was INCREDIBLE! Jose was our server and he was knowledgeable and accommodating and SO sweet. There was plenty of food and they refilled any plate we wanted at no extra charge. I highly recommend having tea here. Come hungry!
D. L.
Weirdly empty, literally not a single customer, just the staff, you get the feeling you're in a 90s movie!
K.
Fun to walk around, lots to see. Several floors. I like the food floors. Affordable luxury goods that make fantastic gifts 🙂
C. F.
Amazing and beautiful shop, ideal place to buy tea and cookies!
C. B.
Amazing store for tea time lovers ! Don’t look too much at the prices though 🤦♀️. A real treat…
D. S.
Really busy this time of the year but nice decoration as expected and good quality teas.
R. S.
There is no better way to enjoy the royal afternoon tea other that at Fortnum & Mason. It may look pricey but worth the experience. Make sure to make a reservation in advance and try to have enough room in the belly for the sandwiches, breads, desserts and cake! Don't forget to explore all four floors to shop variety of items.
s. p.
Nice place for afternoon tea, with air conditioning.
C. S.
Had a great afternoon doing shopping with friends . We had champagne and salmon as a treat. Very helpful staff .
C. Y.
Nice places for shopping cookies, chocolate and teas. Hope to have more space for afternoon tea.
D. P.
Very nice store! Pricey but all products are very well crafted, as well as the quality of them.
H. S.
One of the loveliest places to go for afternoon tea. Service is fantastic and you feel like royalty being served the most delicious teas of every variety you could want and endless sandwiches, scones, and treats. A bit pricey but entirely worth it for the experience and the tasty food and tea!!
B. B.
The high tea is with no doubt a unique experience.
Even though is not cheap at all, I think it's worth it if you want to experience a real high-end english tea time.
Scones, traditional tea sandwiches, and an amazing variety of teas by Fortnum and Mason.
Please have in mind that booking in advance is required (it's usually pretty crowded).
R. N.
Perfect food and service though it's pretty expensive
S. C.
Went in for the patisseries which were exquisite. The place itself is rather astonishing!
N. H.
Beautiful store, helpful staff.
T. R.
Loved this shop, staff were warm and friendly, the building is stunning, the goods are top class. Only downside is that the lifts too way too long to arrive
R. H.
Professional and friendly staff. Very organised and classy place. A must visit
W. W. T.
Plush shopping and a truly amazing selection. Not everyones price range but great quality and range. A treat before Christmas.
f. A.
Crystal from guerlain was really helpful, I really appreciate her assistance with choosing the gifts.
E. A.
If you like a fancy thing or two,
then this is surely the place for you.
a. t.
The building is very beautiful from the outside and also inside. They have variety of chocolate and tea. However. It a bit expensive though.
M. S.
Excellent service and a bigger array of biscuits than any supermarket I know of. I came here looking for a present for a friend I was visiting. Ended up leaving with a big tin of biscuits and a box of 12 macaroons. Would highly recommend the latter which come in 16 different flavours and are reasonably priced at £1.75.
S. D.
Afternoon tea in the Diamond Jubilee tea salon to celebrate our wedding anniversary was brilliant. Delicious food and drink and excellent service.
A. M.
Amazing authentic beatiful...
Fabrics..to die for!
I wish afternoon tea was more exciting🤩
A. G.
One of my favorite places in London. The best for the afternoon tea experience.
E. H.
AMAZING department store, definitely worth a walk around. There is an ice cream store upstairs that is the perfect treat. There are also accessories for men and women and housewares. The bodega is very large with lots of sweets and a small grocery. Stop in to see the amazing building, plus free bathrooms open to the public!
A. L.
This is by far my favourite store in London! Everything about it is magical and dreamy, the staff are always so friendly, polite and most of all very knowledgable about the products in store. The food is not only presented beautifully but tastes amazingly. This is the only place I buy my tea from, my personal favourite is the Royal Blend. Thank you kindly for your originality and making me feel so special every time I visit!
A. K.
A good place for tea and shopping.
C. C.
It's always a pleasure dining at the Diamond Jubilee Tea Room at Fortnum & Mason, even during lockdown. The service was superb and attentive by the lovely Gabriella. We had the delightful Afternoon Tea & Savoury tea. There were so much food that we were all stuffed, plus we went home with a little bit more extra. Having had afternoon tea at various high-end hotels & tea houses in & outside of London, Fortnum & Mason remains a classic favourite.

Always a favourite shop to visit when in Picadilly!
I always love the selection of English teas and biscuits and for many years haven’t gone much further than the ground floor when I visited the store.
But it’s got the most amazing selection of clothing, toiletries and a really good selection of men’s perfumes and skincare.
On the lower ground floor they have a very nice food hall which has a good selection of fresh fruit and vegetables but it also has a fabulous sandwich counter where you can build your own with great quality fillings and a great selection of home-made breads!!
Highly recommended
T. B.
No words, such a beautiful shop!
D. M.
One of my favorite places in Piccadilly. I walk from the top down, taking special notice of the men's section on the 3rd floor. Be sure to walk through the food section. And then to the ground floor to sample the teas they have available. Finally, leave at the side where the doorman takes care to wish you a pleasant day.
S. G.
The afternoon tea here is an absolute must, best afternoon tea I've been to. Also the food hall is amazing
C. M.
Simply the best shop in London, their Christmas displays are fantastic outside in the windows and also throughout the store.
Even if you don’t buy anything this is a must visit, especially for tourists!
J.
I went for afternoon tea. Fantastic experience. The staff were lovely, everyone was helpful. A completely different world. Thank you F&M .
A. K.
Magic atmosphere and great selection of goodies of all kinds!
L. C.
Gorgeous food, the service was impeccable, and the staff were attentive and friendly. Definitely a worthwhile experience!
C. N.
Very magical place, all decorated for Christmas. Only downside is that it is of course very busy, with it being a tourist hot spot.
M. L.
We did the tea. Fantastic. Marianne was especially great to have as our waitress.
S. W.
This is an exceptional (if very posh!) department store in Green Park, a one minute walk from the Ritz. The window displays are always spectacular, but particularly at Christmas. The interior of the store is highly ornate, and the products are beautifully packaged, often in Tiffany-blue tins. This is also an excellent place to buy a high quality hamper in a wicker basket.
Fortnum and Mason contains a number of restaurants, and we visited The Parlour for ice cream. This is a favourite place of mine with fun, quirky decor and delicious treats. The price point of the store as a whole is rather high as the products are luxury items, but the quality speaks for itself.
On the lower floor there is a range of fresh produce. The sausage rolls, pies, and scotch eggs are delicious and can be purchased warm if so desired. I was pleased to see biodegradable (cardboard) punnets for the fruit, and my friend purchased some very tasty cheese.
This store is always very busy as a result of its tourist appeal, but well worth a visit if only to admire the highly ornate tea sets, wide range of sweets and teas, or to buy a tin of the unspeakably good hot chocolate for a treat at home.
P. M.
The afternoon tea here is sublime, the teas are all avaliable in the shop floors and now you can create you own personal blend of tea to suit your tones. Excellent service
J. O.
Got to love this place, attention to detail and great shopping floors, everything you would ever want in one amazing shop ( similar to willy wonkers chocolate factory) awesome, great staff too
A. H.
What a shame about the queuing system to pay, fantastic unique xmas bits to buy but a bit old fashioned thinking on the checkout. People don't want to queu in a pandemic.
M. E. B.
This is the high tea experience of a lifetime. I've never experienced something like this. We got the high tea lunch package with refillable sandwiches, tea and desserts. Cannot compare with anywhere else.
N. S.
Its Fortnum and Mason darlings..you get what.you expect from such an iconic establishment. Visit for the experience, buy for the extravagance, savour for the memory
K. W.
Fortnum and Mason what more can you say the staff were friendly the service was good and as up to now the only place I have found that sells wine from Burgenland in Austria
S. D.
Stunning store where you can see the staff really know how to serve the customer. So lovely. I'll be back at Christmas!
B. T.
Will always come back to this beautiful place. Tea time is a little pricey, but worth it
t. w.
Visited this departmental store during the Christmas festive season. Man, was it packed! Not just locals but filled with tourists looking for souvenirs such as teas, chocolates, and what not. The staff were kinda overwhelmed, and the entire place was just pure "sardines chaos". Managed to get some tea and chocolates and left this place a happy man.
P.s. Wasn't cheap. This place is quite upscale and things here costs quite a bit.
A. J.
This place is a delight! Vast shop full of assorted teas and beautiful displays. Worth a visit just for the experience whether or not you come away with anything.
Grand selection of teaware and pantry items, great place to find a gift.
A. B.
Had a fabulous afternoon tea with my sister in law. She took the classic one and I had the savoury one. Everything was delicious and well presented. The choice of tea amazing. Service was very efficient. Sadly couldn't fit the piece of cake from the trolley as we enjoyed so much the rest of the little cakes sandwiches and scones. Although we were offered a take away we had to decline as we were on our way to a museum visit after and not back home for several hours.
J. P.
Oh wow. What a place for afternoon tea. Food was lovely, plate replenished when empty and they provide doggy bags. Really recommend tea here. Staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. Thanks F & M!!
M. S.
A wonderful array of teas, too many to choose from!
The Christmas shop was fabulous. An amazing shop
S. K.
Well presented, beautiful shopping experience. Very polite and friendly staff.

What a lovely store! I stumbled in on a rainy night to purchase some tea as I was travelling in London, before I headed back the US. Wow is this place HUGE. Quite the layout, and there's so much it's hard to figure out where to even begin! If you're visiting London, this is a must visit.
H. A. S.
I’ve made a book for the afternoon online
And my table was ready
The food was delicious and the place was very nice and elegant
D. D.
I tried the Vegan afternoon tea and it was incredible. Amazing service, the scones are so soft and warm, to die for! You can take the extra food home which is a plus since it’s so rich. The vegan cakes were really good too. Definitely a highlight in London
D. M.
What a wonderful store had a chat with Heather on the shop floor and what a lovely lady so helpful and the Christmas decorations are great we bought a nice decoration for the tree and a very enjoyable experience
F. Z.
It's a perfect tourist thing to do, and I loved it! lol
But it is definitely not cheap, but it's a great gift to bring back home

Went for an afternoon tea experience for my girlfriend’s birthday.
Then the most bizarre thing happened that I still can’t believe to this day. They wished her a happy birthday and bought out a ‘starter’ for us as a gift. It was literally half an asparagus spear on a saucer. I can’t fathom what the thinking behind that is but we were both laughing and utterly confused. Paying £200 for that experience and getting that gift almost seems like an insult (although obviously it’s not). Would prefer if they just wished her a happy birthday if they wanted to and not faff about with meaningless gestures like this. It cheapens what they stand for.
Anyway, partial asparagus aside - it was a lovely experience and we had plenty of choice of teas from around the world. The Japanese genmaicha was my favourite. They were fine with us ordering 3-4 different teas and the waiter was responsive and pleasant to deal with.
The cakes and desserts were amazing. Each unique and interesting.
K. B.
Tea wonderful tea!
Great for all sorts of gifts. If you are tight for time, satellite location at airport
D. H.
Staff helpful as always. Impeccable food. Store has gone through so many changes it just doesn't have the same feeling of exclusivity. Feel sad and had to console my mother.
N. H.
A wonderful and interesting bit of British retail history. Well worth a visit. The food is great too !
J. P.
Lovely afternoon tea with attentive and friendly staff looking after you! So much yumminess!
J. C.
Great place to pick up a few grocery bit and pieces whilst in town.
R. F.
Everything I’ve ever bought has been simultaneously eye-wateringly overpriced and yet totally worth every penny
E. K.
We had a wonderful time lots of lovely gifts. Lunch in the wine bar was delish.
A. H.
Great place for shop some tea cups, tea leaf and souvenirs! And the afternoon tea is amazing
N. J.
The Parlour served decent quality but limited menu. The hot chocolate was the best ever.
A. K.
Amazing decoration, already preparing for Christmas. Good place for those posh, fancy presents.
M. M.
Plush store throughout, however thought the carpet cud be better, attentive staff downstairs also
S. S.
You understand the aura of the store and it’s fame the moment you are at the entrance.
The first thing you notice is that The window displays are so different, elegant and nicely done.
This luxury departmental store is huge with multiple floors each has its own speciality.
Large selection of Gin, loved it so much.
Ended up buying a lot.
The brownies were superbly tasty.
I’ve also bought some pickles and chutneys are they are Yummmm!
A good variety of cookies and biscuits, teas and chocolates.
The home section is just to die for.... so elegant so fulfilling!!
Everything is superbly decorated and placed.
You feel warm and royal here.

A very beautiful store! I felt like stepping in back in time. The atmosphere was very nice, no loud music or loud conversations. Customers were treated with respect. Worth a visit, even if you don't buy anything.

M. A.
I love the variety of the food and the service was very good from ( Carolina ) she explained to us every thing ❤️
T. B.
Good selection of food and drink for special occasions, quite pricey, as I guess you'd expect.
D. H.
A staple of shopping in London! Go there to get your tea supply before heading home.
A bit expensive but that comes with exceptional service and products.
S. M.
Went there for afternoon hi-tea, very nice service and top quality food with tea. You can try many different tea’s
C. S.
Enjoyed High Tea here for my first ever High Tea. Reservations are recommended. Do not come without an appetite. The amount of food served is actually overwhelming and delicious. Vast array of teas available and for food you can choose a sweet or savory menu.
C. L.
Amazing iconic London store with some gorgeous, very expensive, stuff and really quite busy - I'm guessing it'll only get worse as we get more festive! Lovely experience - big queues on the ground floor and a member of staff pointed me to the lower ground floor tills so I could pay quicker - great service (as you'd hope at the price you pay!).
R. K.
Very pretty collection and great place to buy gifts. Can spend hours here!
T. A.
