Reviews of Gelupo

Superb ice cream with very unique flavours severed along with the classics. The milk chocolate with hazelnut was quite delicious. Eager to visit again and try the other flavours!
Z. Y.
If you seriously love cold cream deserts, this place is a must. This will beat out any supermarket gelato by a wide margin. Such incredible depth of flavours with multiple levels in each flavour.
New menus daily with great friendly service too. The pistachio is just too gorgeous to be never be on your order. So decadent!
H. W.
The icecream is absolutely lovely. They give quick service and have a seating area at the back. Couldn't see any toilets there. The whole place is really clean and well maintained. Coffee smelt really good too.
L. S.
Nice place, and has few good ice cream flavours. I’ve been there few times and tried few flavours but my favourite one is banana stracciatella. Other flavours are okay but not as good as the banana one. Staff are okay and there is a small sitting area which always nice when we can find a space.
A. A.
Great high quality ice cream and sorbet. Only kissing point is the pricing. How is one scoop 4 and 2 scoops 5 pounds?!
L. E.
Found this place whilst on a Santader Cycle looking for a docking station.
The ice cream was amazing and has now become a regular stop whilst cycling about during the weekend.
The team are always super helpful and offer tasters if you're not too sure (all flavours are always amazing)
If you're about in Soho this is a must visit place for a little treat 🍦
I.
Wonderful ice cream of course but of course why white truffle is not back yet on Saturdays !! Should be back, and also mulled red wine please or another red wine for that matter. Mascarpone flavor is delicious, not too sweet just perfect
C. H.
The ice cream served here is amazing and offers such unique flavours. I would recommend this to anyone near Leicester Square and whom loves eating ice cream!
D. H.
Probably the best ice cream shop in London, new seasonal flavours weekly, l had panatone which was fantastic 😀, great coffee too..
C. L.
Vegan coconut ice-cream, paired with the vegan strawberry and pink peppercorn. Nuff said! Featured on the 'Off Menu' podcast, so you know it's good. Hoping they do a vegan version of the Christmas pudding ice cream this year 🤞
H. C.
Probably one of the best ice-cream in town ! Wide variety of flavors that changes throughout the day. Very nice staff but be careful to the queue on sunny days !
P. L.
Good variety of choices . Excellent quality ice cream. :)

Best gelato in London (even better than some artisan gelaterias I’ve visited all over Italy). Perfect amount of sugar and beautiful texture. It was love at first lick all those years ago when they first opened (10 years very soon?). You can taste the ingredients (above like actual mint leaves etc) rather than the cream or sugar.
Rare to get a sorbet that isn’t cloyingly sweet. With the exception of some berry flavours Gelupo sorbets are always that perfect amount of sweet. Stand out sorbets are mandarin and coconut. You’d order them even if you weren’t avoiding dairy they are that good. You can tell they use quality ingredients to make their product and I swear you can taste the love put into it!
Staff are always efficient, patient and friendly even though usually rushed off their feet serving the long queues.
Worst thing is trying to decide which flavours to get (revisit old favourite or try their new exciting flavours?)
Also, was sooo impressed with their service a few years ago when I wanted to buy some boxes of melon sorbet (oh yeah another standout sorbet flavour) for my dads birthday. They didn’t have any available but the lovely lady who always had a perfect manicure actually asked the chef if he could order some melons and make it for me to collect a few days later. Now that’s what I call dedication to customer service. They didn’t have to do that & they didn’t know I’ve been a faithful customer from the beginning. Nor did they know that I’ve literally told everyone I know about their gelato, including tourist strangers!!
The salted caramel is worth getting diabetes for. Also love their ricotta sour cherry which is a long running classic. Too many to mention. Still remember the taste of a limited edition yuzu and shiso leaves.
Would buy shares if they ever float. Thank you Gelupo - you are much appreciated!
W. F.
Yummy! The amount of gelato he put on the cone made it look like someone with a mad hairstyle. I had prune and Armagnac which is basically posh rum and raisin - never anyone's favourite but it was pretty bloody nice. £4 for one scoop is a bit steep, but probably worth it.
S. S.
Amazing ice cream, in fact I would say it's the best I have tasted in this country! Fantastic customer service, my husband and I went in a month later and the lady at the counter recognised us!!
We will visit whenever we are in London. Thank you 😊
i. d.
Delicious. Cant fault them (and ive read some reviews moaning about service). The lady behind the counter was efficient and charming. There wasnt a long wait. The sour cherry n ricotta was awesome and well worth the price of a generous scoop. Looking forward to trying some of their other flavours.
V. A.
One of the best Italian gelato in Central London that is not part of a big company (as Grom for example)
Earl grey, Liguria - mascarpone, basil & pine nut -, Amalfi, sour cherry ricotta and chocolate mint are the ones we tried and were amazing. Service was slow but I guess no one was expecting 16 degrees at the end of October to justify a trip to a gelateria (=ice cream parlour) 😅
C. P.
Good ice cream but not worth 4 quid per scoop(not sure if I paid 4 or 4.50) and its not even a full scoop. I could get artisan ice cream in Europe for 2.50 euro.
(But love the food opposite though)
M. R. H.
One of my favourite places for gelato in London. Friendly staff and the best flavours. They always have new flavours to explore.
Y. L.
Quality gelato with seasonal flavours, our go to when in the area and craving for gelato. Tried strawberry grapes today and was refreshing and nice turned out our favourite of the day, matching another scoop which was fig leaf, also the special nice flavour wouldn't find elsewhere. Tiramisu tastes exactly the gelato version of Tiramisu even with granules of sponge which was a surprise! Highly recommended
A. S.
Really good ice cream. Pistachio is my favourite, but all made really well. Wanted to try the ricotta sour cherry but they were out...
...which is the downside. Very popular but as a result quite crowded and quite expensive. Usually a queue, and if you get there late you may be disappointed.
G. C.
Amazing Ice cream. I got the best pistachio ice cream ever with a scoop of ricotta coffee & honey ice cream.
The queue outside moved really fast so don't let it stop you
C. (.
Home made gelato, with both classic and new tastes. The shop isn't too large, but enough to host the usual line of customers.
Further to gelato, there a are a series of products of high Italian quality.
A surprise was the Gelupo's Prosecco.
Service is kind and friendly. Late at night can be crowded.
L. W.
One of the best ice cream shops in London! Tried Bacio and Bonet, both delicious
H. R.
Absolutely the best ice cream in London if not the world. Expect to wait in line with the line sometimes starting outside the shop. The place has a VERY limited seating area about 2 tables at the back of the shop and a small bench outside. The flavors are incredibly delicious but they do sell out quickly so if you want to see their wide selection go earlier during the day. They also sell frozen sweets, desserts, Italian sodas, and food items. The staff are amazingly quick and friendly so don’t be discouraged by the queue! Tip: get their hazelnut paste!
J. L.
Very delicious gelato. They currently got mango sticky rice flavour and it was good.
W.
£3 for one scoop, £4 for two scoops, and £5 for three scoops! I’ve been a frequent customer for the past two years and blood orange sorbet is my favorite. It’s refreshing and light, perfect for the summer weather.
Picture taken in September 2020.

Stopped by here after seeing Everybody's talking about Jamie at the Apollo Theatre. Very conveniently located to the theatres on Shaftesbury Avenue. The ice cream selection is very tempting - I found it difficult to choose from apricot, kiwi and gin and the many options (which change regularly) but we eventually settled on the blood orange and the ricotta with sour cherry. Seriously some of the best ice cream and sorbet I have eaten - really creamy, smooth, no ice, and tasty. The serves are really big - I struggled to eat my 1 scoop - and for the quality of product, location and serving size I think that the pricing is reasonable. There are vegan options available. I liked the decor - reminded me of a meeting of 1950s pastel diner with Cath Kidston and modern bijou. Some seating inside available for eat- in but we just wandered a little further down the road to the small plaza with light up trees. I highly recommend!
C. D.
Some fantastic new flavours always to try on each visit. Today they had a fall flavour of Pumpkin Ameretto, delicious
Y. T.
There wasnt a time that this ice cream would be bad. Its always super tasty. A great variety with good quality. Sorbe are available as well. Price range for quality not bad - 2 balls for 5 pound. Staff away helpful and ready to give you to taste all the flavours you want. Cant recommend enough this place.
Y.T. They sell some books as well.
D. P.
Very friendly staff, ice creams have a decent size! As per the flavour, they were good but not amazing, at leas for me! I recommend you to give it a try yourself and judge. I was not a big fan of the flavours and the ones that I got were just ok.
T. K.
Quick service, fair prices for extra scoops, great selection of flavours including some challenging views on ehat should go to gelato. Totally worth a visit.
V. L.
Absolutely delicious. Some of the flavours need some explanation as they are just names. Definitely try the pistachio and ricotta with sour cherries.
S. o.
The best kept secret hidden behind mainstreet Soho. Situated next to its sister Italian kitchen, is this go to Gelato bar serving swirls of Italy with dashes of traditional liquers superbly concocted in the basement creamery and gently frozen. The daily menu of alcoholics served as devilish desserts by three friendly Bellas brings in a large crowd of after diners. Even pre-dinner drinkers form a queue spilling over onto the cold breezy pavements outside this store. Patience is the Sicilian code here, cash is certainly king. A treat not to be missed after a nice dinner at Chinatown's Four Seasons or Wong Kei.
D. L.
Authentic Italian gelato. Can’t miss if you’re in the area, even on a rainy day. Had the espresso sorbet, delicious!
A. F.
This is the best ice cream in London. I reckon you could spread that net wider. Could selection of flavours constantly changing. The Pimms flavour currently on is wonderful. Anybody who does take 3 scoops for £6 is mad!
A. S.
Really good ice cream. Pistachio is my favourite, but all made really well. Wanted to try the ricotta sour cherry but they were out... …
E. O.
Amazing rotation of flavours. Some classics and many unique and fresh ones. Never disappointed and always wish I had room for more
T. K.
Quick service, fair prices for extra scoops, great selection of flavours including some challenging views on ehat should go to gelato. Totally worth a visit.
A.
It's ice cream in many flavours, what's not to like
J. G.
The espresso flavor is the best one I ever tasted
j. s.
Brilliant gelato.
No cheap, but worth every penny.
I love the blood orange offerings
S. T.
Superb ice cream. It's difficult to find a decent ice cream in London. As Italian,I recognize this one 🍨
J. M.
If you wanna have fun while buying your ice cream, these guys r hilarious. The whole experience is great.
M. M.
I always love the gelato here, but with all the hot weather yesterday it was definitely a welcome treat!
I opted for two flavours of sorbet - watermelon and Campari & pink grapefruit.
Absolutely fantastic! The watermelon was sweet and flavourful, and the Campari & pink grapefruit was bitter and sharp - a perfect combination.
Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!
B. A.
Delicious homemade gelato. They make it fresh in their basement everyday and have such interesting flavors. Tried the mango sticky rice and it was amazing. Would definitely come back for more. Perfect snack during a stroll around soho.
S. S.
Great choice of flavors, both basic traditional ones plus more unique options. Some are smoother than others but guessing that comes down to the texture the flavor’s ingredients allows for rather than inconsistent quality.
We were there recently on a busy night with a long line but it moved quickly and the staff were very efficient and friendly.
It’s a small shop so be prepared to takeaway.
S. C.
Cute shop. Only one person to scoop and ring people up, but still very quick service. Gelato was delicious. Got the Bonet flavour (dark chocolate, rum).
A. D.
Innovative and creative Italian gelato flavours. you won't be disappointed with the quality, amount choice or flavours. Very good and unusual sorbetti selection too if dairy free options are required. Great after dinner at the restaurant across the street, or at any time of day really!
K. W.
Excellent gelato, but the sorbets are even better. The choice of flavours changes seasonally, with some regulars including the not to be missed bitter chocolate sorbet. Still can't believe it's a sorbet, it's so creamy.
G. S.
Great service and a wide choice of both Gelato's and Sorbet for those after something light to cleanse the pallet after dinner.
The pistachio gelato has got to be, hands down the best in store!!
A. F.
This is the best ice cream in London. I reckon you could spread that net wider. Could selection of flavours constantly changing. The Pimms flavour currently on is wonderful. Anybody who does take 3 scoops for £6 is mad!
T. O.
Special menu for each day. Delicious ice creams with especially salted caramel and pistachio flavor. The only and best ice cream shops of London.
R. C.
Best and most experimental ice cream I've ever had. You NEED to try this, 'nuff said
E. C.
Gelupo is an excellent gelato shop. They feature different flavors everyday based on the materials they have! This time around, I got the yogurt + summer berries and the peanut butter raspberry. The peanut butter raspberry was surprisingly delicious! It had a hint of pb&j taste but surprisingly not too much! It was kind of it's own delicious blend of the two flavors. The peanut butter was aromatic without being too intense in flavor, still keeping the ice cream light. The summer berries and yogurt I wish were more separate, like a swirl. It was a blended yogurtlike flavored ice cream.
Overall, I highly recommend this shop if you are into cool ice cream flavors!
They have decent amount of seating space. You can borrow the bathroom in the restaurant across the street, as it is owned by the same owner!
N. H.
Very nice gelato in the heart of Soho. Loved Pistachio and Colomba (Italian Easter Cake).
S. K.
Delicious take away or eat-in ice cream, this is a combination of the bitter chocolate and salted caramel. Really lovely.
A. C.
I can't go to Italy this year, so Italy came to me instead!
I absolutely recommend the mint stracciatella, what a delightful flavour!
Quite expensive, but sometimes you've gotta treat yourself !
L. C.
Excellent ice cream with a creamy texture. Tried the pistacchio one (1 scoop)and it was super delicious. Portion sizes are also grnerois for the price paid. Will definitely revisit on my next trip to London :)
H. Y.
Hands down the best gelato shop in London!!!
K. J.
my favourite ice cream in London, utterly delicious! Mango sticky rice ice cream and the bitter chocolate sorbet are real standouts
Y. L.
All stress can be released by Gelupo’s Gelato!!!Definitely the best Gelato in the UK. Fresh mint Stracciatella is always the one I regret after ordered only one scoop. Finest ingredients No artificial taste.Highly recommend, Pistachio is great too! The only ice cream shop in London deserves you to stay at Gym for extra 1 hr.
C. M.
Best ice cream in Soho!
It’s a must visit.
Delicious espresso ice cream 🙌
H. (.
A truly divine taste of ice cream that caters for all (veganites, in particular).
I got the raspberry sorbet, hazelnut gelato and pistachio gelato: all 3 were sumptuous with beautiful texture, aroma and consistency. It didn’t melt too quickly nor was it overly firm and it was delicately smooth.
The shop is quite small and the seating space can be congested, but it’s a cute little spot to eat in after dinner or to even takeaway from whilst on the go.
It’s prices are standard for the locality, but it’s well worth the money given the portion size and quality of the product. 10/10 would come again when around town or even explicitly venture out to try it again.
S. P.
Amazing chestnut gelato. As good as any I've tried
y. L.
The best gelato ever. I always visit local gelateria shops whenever I travel. Gelupo is one of the best shops in my life. Any flavours are no failure.
A. H.
Best gelato shop in London. Some traditional and some very unusual flavours of ice cream and sorbet. Excellent value considering the quality of the products.
V. L.
Delicious ice-creams and original flavours 😋
J. M.
Great service, good flavour selection. Tasted two flavours, both delightful. Got one ball of a third in a cone. £4. Absolutely delicious. Recommend.
P. A.
Excellent i loved them. I recommend the mandarín flavor.
Y. M.
The gelato was not bad. Had high expectations because of the good reviews but wasn't quite satisfied with the quality.
M. L. L.
Best Ice cream I’ve ever tried. Hazelnut, bitter chocolate, and tiramisu. Highly recommended.
S. K.
I don't know if my multiple trips to Italy had been lacking in research, but my goodness I never had a better gelato than the tiramisu gelato in Gelupo. I can't afford it. But its the best gelato I've ever had.
M. J.
I once went to this place 2 days in a row. The reason? I like ice cream and their gelato is fantastic. Such great flavours on offer, and some unusual but equally delicious. Personal favourite you ask? Sour Cherry Ricotta. Don't just get one scoop either...
R. B.
A great choice and sooo delicious. You can taste before buying. The ones we had were very natural tasting. Highly recommended.
M. M.
It's already said, probably the best ice cream in London. Try the chocolate ice cream, it's amazing!
A. T.
They have a daily menu of handmade ice cream so every day you go is a new experience and you know that you having a fresh ice cream, the texture is amazing and they have some awesome flavours. You can even tried them before you choose what is good as they have their owns flavours creations. The attention was perfect, polite and thoughtful.
B. R.
One of the best ice-creams I have ever had! If you are in Soho it's a must! They even let you try before you choose!! Whoop whoop
D. C.
An excellent little gelato & coffee bar from the Boco di Lupo team. The gelato and sorbets are out of this world. Try one of the mini cones from the fridge!
y. s.
It was my first time to try it , I walked for 14 min to get there but it worth it , I fall in love with this ice cream 🥰
j. s.
Brilliant gelato.
No cheap, but worth every penny.
I love the blood orange offerings
C. K.
This is the best gelato I have had in London. The pistachio was amazing!
F. G.
Pretty cool Gelato cafe, you get a variety of different flavours ( sticky rice flavoured? Mint and cucumber? ).
S.
Always a good end to a night in mid town. The peanut butter stracciatella is my favourite.
L. F.
Absolutely the best ice cream place in London. And as an Italian I know what I am talking about. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? 150%! If it’s in season I highly recommend the fig leaf. Raspberry is also superb! But pick any flavour and you are in safe hands! Staff is nice and friendly, and expect a bit of a queue.
J. L.
Easily my favourite ice cream spot in London
J. G.
Best ice-cream 🍦 in town , they always have some new flavours
D. M.
Phenomenal. Best gelato in London. Innovative and seasonal flavours and both the gelati and sorbetti have excellent texture and mouthfeel. You're always in for a treat here. The salted caramel with almond praline and the roasted red plum are particularly delightful. Decent vegan options too. Go on, treat yourself.
M. K.
Unexpected gem of a gelato place. The gelato was really tasty and really highlighted the flavors. Kind staff. Recommended!
R. C.
Great ice cream and creative flavours. A bit on the pricier side though.
D. R.
Probably the best ice cream in London - some really interesting flavours.
L. H.
Ice cream is delicious, but the online ordering and delivery is a bit of a mess. When you order it says you get either a morning or afternoon delivery slot and then an hour slot on the day. Neither of these actually came through. I ended up emailing them and calling to find out when it would actually be delivered, and eventually spoke to the manager. She was really helpful, but I probably won't bother ordering again. It just too much of a hassle!
A. S.
The best ice cream I had in London so far. Unfortunately not too many flavours and quite expensive.
L.
Best gelato in London. Good to go at any time of the year (yes even winter it's worth it for the seasonal flavours) and after dinner for dessert. There is almost always a queue but don't let it put you off it's worth the wait! It gives you plenty of time to decide what flavours you want to try before you decide what to order which is good because they change the flavours available quite frequently. My personal favourite is the bacio (chocolate hazelnut) and pistachio but I've also had the espresso which is great in the afternoon.
A.
It's ice cream in many flavours, what's not to like
J. G.
The espresso flavor is the best one I ever tasted
Y. H.
Excellent selection of Gelati (try the "Bacio" and "Bitter Chocolate"). Friendly staff - very good service.
D. S.
Excellent ice cream and Affogato, good coffee.trendy and friendly
J. P.
There are so many delicious flavours and they are always intense and delicious. The hard thing is choosing!
P. S.
Best gelato in london
A. L.
Good quality ice cream but a bit overpriced and no a/c or toilets on the premises so I'd recommend visiting only if you're planning to have your gelato on the go.
S. M.
Very delicious with lots to choose from. 👍👍very good service
L. H.
So happy to see this place open again!!! We've been coming here for 7 years now, the best Gelato in London? Definitely! The best Gelato in Europe...? Probably!! It's proper Italian, run by Italians and it's an instant dose of happiness, not only in these Covid times but any time!!! Salted caramel and pistachio are my personal favourites. Thank you!!!
T. L.
I've only been there once but oh my god the fresh mint gelato was incredible. The dark chocolate is also amazing. £4 for one scoop in a cup wasn't exactly cheap but in central London when a cheapo soft serve cone is £2 from a truck, this £4 gourmet life changing gelato is well worth it.
M. W.
Incredible flavours, favourites so far are the mango sticky rice gelato and the pistachio.. amazing!
E. O.
Amazing rotation of flavours. Some classics and many unique and fresh ones. Never disappointed and always wish I had room for more
A. T.
Very good ice cream! Not too many tastes to choose from, but that's ok :)
H. R.
Best Icecream in London. Great choice of flavours. Won't disappoint
A. D.
The best ice-cream in London, and believe me, I've had my fair share of ice-cream. The staff are super friendly and there are a variety of flavours, including sorbet. There is also a small sitting area in the back and different Italian treats for sale. If you're around Soho or Leicester Square, it's definitely worth checking out the ice-cream here!
J. P.
High quality icecream. For me, one of the bests in London. Very careful artisan flavors
V. D.
Do not be out off by the wait, totally worth it!! Bacio, bitter chocolate and peanut butter stratciatella - to die for!!
C. T.
I've had their crema 101, milk chocolate, and pistachio flavors - all fantastic. The place usually has a long line and it's definitely worth the wait, because their ice cream is extremely tasty.
Limited seating inside, but you can just stand outside and enjoy ice cream on the fairly quiet rode.
P. D.
We visited this place after having lunch at the food market on Berwick St for a sweet treat. The staff were very charming and friendly and were happy to let us try a few of the flavours before we chose. I was conservative and had my usual favourite flavour, hazelnut, and I wasn't disappointed. Very creamy and delicious. I think the price for a single pot is a little on the high side, it starts making more sense quickly, cost wise, as you order more and more ice cream. recommend!
E. P.
Fabulous Bonet flavoured gelato in a cone!! No wonder the shop filled up quickly after us and the crowd kept coming in!
P. G.
There is nothing I love more than home-made ice-cream and Gelupo is no exception. Beware of the queue though, we had to wait more than 20 min to get our hands on the gelato. Tip: prices are made in such a way that it's much more interesting to take one order with several scoops rather than separate orders with less scoops.
F. A.
Great gelato with inventive flavours! Last time I tried fig leaf.
K.
Favourite ice cream in London! So much choice and very experimental with flavours. Great for after dinner or theatre visit, they have extended too so there’s more places to sit!!
K. C.
Possibly my favourite gelato place. They are just so inventive with their flavours!
E. M.
Best ice cream in London with reasonable prices. They have lots of seasonal flavours in both gelato and granita. My favourite is hazelnut and pistachio though.
A. C.
Hands down my favourite gelato place in London. Pistachio and bitter chocolate are two go-to’s. Friendly staff!
T.
Delicous gelato in the heart of Soho. Lovely staff who are very helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to picking flavours. They are have a continuously changing menu with lots of vegan options including bitter chocolate and espresso.
On the topic of espresso, they do £1 single shot espressos - just like in Italy and how ot should be!
They also have a shop in the back selling chocolates, jams, biscuits etc and also do truffles sometimes. Highly recommended!
N. M.
One of the best gelaterias in London, and even better because it's open late even on weekdays (why don't more places do that?). They have a set of core flavours like sour cherry and ricotta, and dark chocolate sorbet, and a range of monthly specials to tie in with events like Valentine's Day, Chocolate Month etc. Be warned that they do sell out of flavours during the course of the day, so if you want the full selection go before 5pm. The prices are very reasonable - £3 for one scoop, £4 for two, £5 for three - and the gelato is excellent. My favourites are the dark chocolate sorbet, the ricotta coffee honey (which is amazing but sadly they don't always have it), and the hazelnut. They had a milk chocolate, peanut and caramel flavour for January (Chocolate Month) which was amazing! I always find an excuse to come here whenever I'm in the area.
S. A.
As Italian I know when I'm having a good I've cream. This one is very good. Buonissimo!!! Loved it. They have new different flavours. I also tried the Polenta cake (almond and orange cake) and it's really nice. I'm surprised I had a better Ice cream in London than in many shops in Italy tho
D. S. d. R.
Very original ice cream flavours and reasonable prices. Also great coffee.
If you're after traditional flavours like vanilla or strawberry look elsewhere. You'll find ricotta and white truffle or cinnamon and pumpkin instead.
H. B.
Not the worst gelato but surely overrated. We had Fig, Mango & Rice, Grapefruit, Blood Orange as well as Bitter Chocolate. Flavors are fine except for Mango & Rice which had almost no taste of mango but a pointless addition of granules of rice (was hoping for something similar to the Thai Mango Sticky Rice dessert). Vegan sorbets are overly sweet and obviously too slushy compared to thick ones found in Oddonos and Venchi for example.
J. S.
One of best hot chocolate I have ever drank!
Gelatos are great, freshly made and you will get the taste of original ingredients.
I highly recommend this place.
S. H.
This little franchise is dominating the ice cream market and for good reason. The goods live up to the hype and the store is nice enough, not the boutique ice cream that I have come to love, but still a comfortable joint to enjoy your cold dessert. If you are looking for a tasty treat and are within walking distance then Gelupo is worth the hop, skip and a jump.
E. A.
My wife loves ice cream and she wanted to visit Gelupo for a long time. So one day we decided to check it out. The ice cream was really fantastic - all kind of flavours, really tasty and addictive. However since I'm on diet I'm not going there anymore but you should definitely do.
A. S.
The ice cream and sorbets here are amazing, certainly the best I've tasted in London.
Flavour combinations like sour cherry and ricotta or chocolate, egg, rum and coffee might seem a bit experimental but they work so well. The more pedestrian flavours like mint choc chip are still worth ordering though - the fact that it had real mint and little shards of dark chocolate made it one of my favourite flavours. Luckily the staff are more than happy to let you taste the ice creams on offer. In fact they insist on it.
It's not particularly cheap - three scoops will set you back £4.50 - but I don't mind paying that much for something so delicious.
S. N.
My favourite place for ice cream. Been coming here since it opened almost 7 years now. Great selection of flavours. Though my favourite has always been the tiramisu, but they've not had that for a long time.
a. d.
Excellent quality and very authentic. Always reassuring to see Italian customers ordering their gelato in Italian. The Dairy free selection also tastes so good it is hard to tell apart from the real stuff!
D. J. M. L.
Delicious ice cream, the peanut butter and raspberry was lacking the last part but it was very tasty. Great fresh flavours like mandarin and orange. Very busy on weekends
J. G.
Best ice cream shop ever - proper Italian ice cream. Chocolate sorbet is my all time favourite but everything else is worth trying. Their hot chocolate or milkshake are killers too.
S. B.
I grabbed some late night gelato here and was very impressed. Lovely fresh flavours. I recommend the salt caramel and pecan and also the mint which has a very fresh flavour and tastes of real mint. Felt it was on the expensive size considering the portion size.
W. E. T.
The gelato was good, but coupled with the high prices and the relative lack of seating in the (back of?) the store, I wouldn't necessarily go back. That said, I did takeaway a really good lemon slice and brownie, and both were very decently priced so if you do go be sure to try their baked selection!

Late at night, strolling through Soho - Gelupo is the perfect treat to end the night! I had seen many recommendations for this place, I knew that if I didn’t jump on the bandwagon now, it will be too late.
What lured me to shop was their options of sorbets. It is a refreshing and milk-less alternative to the gelato. The Blood Orange sorbet was absolutely divine. It tasted of the real and fresh fruit picked that morning.
The Peach sorbet was creamy and filling, a pleasant surprise if you’ve been eating sorbets for some time, you know most of them are like flavoured ice.
TIP: Be careful and don’t ask to try more than two desserts. When I asked if I am able to try four sorbets (something which I have done many times in the past) I was told “you can only try two”. You don’t want to seem greedy in front of everyone else - but you’re a prospective customer making an investment, I think they should alter that rule.
They run out of flavours and when they do they use a marker pen and scribble the flavours out of their menus on the counter. So it does depend what time you go there and when you go there as the flavours do change. Their justification is written on the menu “our flavours change due to demand and are handmade downstairs all day, every day”.
It is a very tightly squeezed shop, with seating at tha back. Most of the space is taken up by customers queuing to get their fix of the legendary Gelupo’s gelato. It took me 20 minutes to reach the counter and order. Quite long if you ask me.
Granita is sold at Gelupo, the Sicilian alternative to espressos and cappuccinos in the morning. It is very hot in Sicily and so they don’t indulge in the hot drinks in the morning, rather they opt for a granita which is flavoured ice. But I was surprised that they sell it! But what put me off was the portion size. Quite small.
In the shop they sell authentic Italian ingredients, like pasta, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. They also sell cookbooks - Italian cuisine of course.
Prices were slightly higher than their competitors. It’s a good experience - but it depends how often one wants to replicate that experience.
Refreshing and tongue seducing. Well done for bringing something new to the London desert scene.
D. A.
I have enjoyed so very much tasty ice cream here! Personal faves: sour cherry and ricotta...and the gorgeous hazelnut!
Whats more the fat content in these ice creams is far lower than what you'll find in the freezer at tesco...so treat yourself!
D. D.
I would give Gelupo 7 stars if I could. By FAR the best ice cream and sorbet I've had in London. They have flavours that you won't find anywhere else. Ricotta and Sour Cherry, Kiwi Gin and Elderflower, Lemon Curd Ripple...Check out their wholesale. You can get a tray of 16 cups, or a 4l tub, and I think they deliver too.
J. B.
Best ice cream and gelato in London. Often a long queue but it’s always worth it. Large range of flavours. Absolutely delicious! And some surprising options too!
C. G.
We came here on the recommendation of our host at another restaurant who swore this was the best gelato place around. I took that with a grain of salt, as, in my experience, gelato places are largely the same. Gelupo broke the mould.
Gelupo had unique flavors I've never seen anywhere else. I got the peanut butter raspberry, and it blew me away. I would never have tried the combination on my own, but it was perfect. If you want something new and unique, stop by Gelupo.
G. H.
Whenever I have a fancy for ice cream I come here. The flavours are traditionally Italian. They have a selection that rotates. My favourites are coconut and pistachio. They supply many restaurants in London. They also have a selection of Italian food products to buy.
K. P. J.
Awesome taste and lots of flavours
T. B.
Amazing. Absolutely loved the flavours. I had salted caramel and snickers and they were both fabulous!
K. T.
I had a scoop of Bonet and mango sticky rice. £4. Going to go back to try more flavours.
O. C.
The best ice cream I have EVER had!! The salted caramel and pecan, mint straciatella and Mexican chilli chocolate are to DIE FOR! Highly recommend!!!
G. B.
Gelupo is one of the not so many places in London, where you could get really very delicious ice cream. I went there with some family that came over to visit me, and we all agreed that the ice cream was among the best scoops we've ever had. The scoops are not cheap, but they are enormous. And they have some interesting flavours, so not only your standard selection.
If you like ice cream, you should definitely pay Gelupo a visit and taste it yourself!
E.
Great changing menu of interesting flavours, friendly service, some seats and tables
F. B.
This is the original and the best ice cream shop in London. I've had some great flavours from here (anything usually with ricotta, or fruit) and some duffers (I've got to admit it, the burnt caramel once just tasted like... well, charcoal.) but I love the experimental factor in what's on offer.
l. t.
not only do i love the ice-cream here - namely cherry and ricotta and the grown up nutella - but i love the branding AND it stays open until 11pm, which is helpful when you have a twilight sugar craving. they do sorbets too, but ice cream has always been my vice. not exactly cheap, but you get a good ole serving and if you want to perch for a bit, there are a few seats to park ye bum and nose at their small shop at the back.
P. L.
Went here with high expectations as the reviews said it was great. Ended up being very disappointed. The ice cream flavour was good but the girl behind the counter took such a long time to put the ice cream on the cone that by the time she handed it to us, the ice cream was melting and dripping on to us.
I'm not sure if the girl there was new or not but the presentation of the ice cream on the cone was terrible and the girl was complining that she was "too tired to do this"
Generally very disappointing
G. F.
Quirky little ice-cream shop with some delicious extravagant flavours. Staff is super nice and would let you try a little bit of any flavour before you decide. Prices are good to the great quality of the ice-cream.
J. H.
Went to visit this place after recommendations on Time Out mag. The people behind the counter were lovely and cheerful. Was a little put off by the fact that you can't see the ice cream flavours as that are in silver canisters. However the favours we choose were certainly worth the hype and effort looking for the place. Must try the chocolate sorbet and the one with coffee and amaretto (can't remember name)...so good!
S. D. C.
Wonderful flavours, excellent quality gelato. Tends to be crowded, so not really a place to sit and relax. Can also pick up some great Italian confectionary and conserves. I really like their branding!
A. C.
Really tasty icecream shop. This tiny shop always has a queue, reflecting it's popularity. Thankfully, the queue moves relatively quickly, but still gives you time to ponder the choices of flavour available. Gelupo does a nice variety of both gelatos and sorbetti, with interesting and different varied flavours every day, for example Bacio, yoghurt and cherry, blackforest, avocado sorbet, rosemary and lemon sorbet - amongst many others! Highly recommended.
J.
The best gelato in London in my opinion, great service, amazing flavours especially peanutbutter and raspberry (seasonal). And I love their dark chocolate pre-made gelato cones!
A. Y.
Came here a few times and have constantly been surprised by the lovely variety of flavours. I'm hard pressed to choose my favourite flavours but Pistachio is definitely a classic. The staff is friendly too. One of the best gelatos in Soho
L. V.
Easily some of the best pistachio ice cream in London. Wonderfully clean flavours and deliciously light textures. The decor is inviting and the back of the store houses a great deal more treats...
D. W.
My favourite post dinner treat stop. Moderately priced very delicious Gelato
M. H.
I like the price of coffee here. Just a pound for an esspresso. Another good feature is variety of gelato flavour.. All the time there is something new. And the always good
is ricotto. The only bad feature is gelato size. It is a very stingy size. Other places give much more. But I know that here is cheaper
than other companies. Maybe that is why.
T. K.
Great gelato in the heart of London. Every time I go there are new flavours to try out. One of the few places in London where you can get a £1 coffee as well!
There's a little bit of seating in the back but not much so be prepared to eat standing or outside.
K. G.
I've lost count of the amount of times I've been to Gelupo. The gelato is just so fresh and tasty - it feels like it couldn't possibly be naughty. Try the fresh mint. The coffee is great too and the actual place is filled with random vessels of olive oil and pasta for you to nose around.
D. Z.
Gelupo offers you the freshest Italian Ice Cream in all of London. Flavours as diverse as blood orange and dark chocolate are interspersed with the best coffee in all of London. Defintly worth a visit if you find yourself with a sweet tooth in the middle of London. Prices are quite reasonable too.
N. D.
Gelupo is one of those places in London that everyone has to check out at some point. It is the classic gellateria, which isn't gimmicky, isn't cheesy, just good Italian ice cream. It also has a great selection of Italian deli items at the back of the shop - great for gifts, or for treating yourself in the evening.
There can be queues (because it is SO good), but don't let that put you off. Service is excellent and the staff are lovely.
Grab a medium pot and wander through Soho!
G. T.
I was prompted to go to Gelupo from a colleague. The ice cream over there is unbelievably tasty. One definitely needs to try the mint ice cream. Although I was reluctant, it is extraordinary. It leaves a taste of freshnesss for a good few hours.
The staff is extremely kind
J. E.
Great gelato in central London! So many excellent flavours to choose from. Nice interior with a few tables and seats. Very busy at times but worth the short wait.
M. E.
Good selection of flavours, some very interesting looking. Portions very stingy. The raspberry I tried was lovely, the mint stracciatella and blood orange not quite so good. i The texture was unfortunate: runny and airy rather than rich. Possibly an off day - but with the Scoop branch 2 minutes away offering even better flavoured, far better textured gelato in more generous quantities, I'm not sure I'll be back.
S. M.
£1 single espresso, £4 gelato, homemade Italian desserts, laid back staff. Music not the best but quality Italian food and drink at a good price.
Unfortunately still using plastic spoons.
I. E.
Tiramisu and bitter chocolate were so good
D. O.
Having just come back from Rome (and eaten so much gelato everyday), I was on the hunt for another classic Italian gelato place as Oddono's is now a little out of my way to work. Was recommended to try Gelupo by my italian friend and wow, it's soooo tasty!
Flavour choices aren't as vast as some places, but their special flavours have been chosen and created with so much expertise that it doesn't disappoint. My favourite was the nocciola (hazelnut), but the cherry sambuca special was crazy but great. I wasn't too keen on the burnt sugar gelato, but each to his/her own.
They also have low-fat icecream for those of us who care about these things, and it tastes just as freakin' fantastic.
T. K.
Excellent ice cream and sorbet. Unusual flavours
l.
Cool and cozy, They company also owns another restaurant across the street this as well you will need to go to the bathroom if you need to wash your hands Hazel nut and potassio are one off the favorites that we enjoy it was nice and getting some of that it was very creamy the many framed pictures on nice conversation pieces. They do not take American Express credit card but I think they take all of the credit cards I particularly like to use my American Express at this is just a warning
F. B.
Some lovely vegan sorbets, in addition to a lovely dark cioccolata calda. Blood orange, espresso, and coconut are some of my favourites. There's quite a reasonable amount of space to sit inside too!
s. k.
So whenever I come here I keep ordering the wrong flavours - e.g. salted caramel which was way way too sweet. But recently I have been getting it right - PISTACHIO - is the way forward here. They do the best pistachio gelato in London - and I have tried a lot of the gelato places around. I have to say Amorino (on Old Compton) used to be my fave but its getting quite commercial, and they keep opening up new locations - e.g. Camden. So as Amorino is more associated to a franchise, Gelupo stands tall as a cool unique hidden gem worth venturing into.
T. C.
Chocolate Sorbet is good, but not exceptional. We also tried the coconut ice cream, which was OK, nothing to highlight. Fair service and really good ambient music selection!
L. M.
I've looked high and low for coconut sorbet and have never found it in the UK. This place has it and its heavenly! I will definitely be a regular.
Highly recommend to sorbet and ice cream lovers, it tops everywhere else!
E. B.
It was an unusual day that I came here in Gelupo and I was indulge of their delicious ice-cream. They have a selection of delightful flavours in different varieties of iced treats. And it’s not too sweet. This cafe is sofa scinating with everything home-made. All of their flavours are truly tasty, containing my favourites like pistachio and bonet, Affogato, and hazelnut. It is definitely the fine stin town at a great price.
R. S.
The ice cream here is amazing. The flavours are absolutely natural so it tastes just like the flavour you ordered. The melon was amazing as was the mint and chocolate.
R. g.
Great gelato, very rich in flavour and amount.
V. S.
Potentially the best gelato in London and possibly even Italy! Always interesting new flavours to try. Few small tables at the back to sit for a bit too. Although obviously much better to get some and sit in the sun instead (when there is sun that is!)
C. K.
I like almost every flavour they offer.
박.
Mascapone & fig and pistachio taste Gooood!
F. B.
Best ice cream in central London. Expect some wait during the good season. Not as many flavours available as in other more commercial ice cream shops, but everything is very tasty!
H. C.
The staff are friendly and helpful. My daughter rates the ice cream and the cake I had was delicious. The interior is tiny and if you want to sit down and eat you can forget it. The chances are that you won't be able to.
G. M. (.
One of the best gelateria in London, absolutely must try!
W. A.
Nice gelato near Chinatown
D. P.
I thought when I found Gelupo it was a bit of a secret, as I’d just been to a friend’s work and it was a small Italian parlour, but it seems it is one of those amazing worst kept secrets of London, that there are so many of!
What you get when you arrive is, a small little parlour, with fantastic new flavours of Gelato that changes every day.
Whilst you queue up, you see all the different flavours that everyone else chooses… because of this, you change your mind 10 times before you decide. Which turns out to be 14 different flavours that you ‘need’.
If you are looking for something refreshing in the area, you need to go here!
M. C.
Italian ice cream and coffee cafe. Wide variety of ice cream .
K. J.
We had a chance to try Gelupo ice cream at London coffee festival. And they were aaaamaizing! Seriously, its so good that we started fighting with my girl, who can get more bites :)) She won! :) Back to the ice cream, our favourite flavour was Kiwi!
T. V.
The ice cream here is amazing and the portion is really generous. Plus they have in and out seating choices and thr vibe is intimate
Д. И.
The ice cream is delicious, there is a variety of flavours, the price is reasonable and although the atmosphere isn't the best you'll find, the place is absolutely incredible. Would totally go there a second time to enjoy another tasty scoop.
R. B.
The best gelato in town.
If you live in London, or are in London for a holiday then you must go here and try the gelato.
I can't explain it but it tastes better than any gelato I have ever tasted. The flavours are pure and intense. They have both at both traditional and more innovative.
Go and eat some!
K. A.
Selling gelato, coffee and hot chocolate, this is a nice little place for a quick stop.
There aren't that many seats in the back, but there's room to stand and eat your gelato or drink your hot chocolate as well.
There were some interesting flavour combinations for the gelato. And staff will let you have a small taster before you decide on which flavour to buy.
I really like the hot chocolate with hazelnut and gelato combination here which comes in a small glass. Perfect for those who don't want too much as the hot chocolate can taste a bit rich.
Y. A.
Best Gelato I’ve had in London.
Salted caramel is excellent, the pear and blackberry crumble is great, honeycomb, as well as all the sorbets.
Reccomend it 100%
C. R.
Decided to come here because of all the positive reviews. First impression is that it's tiny, which is okay. They let you sample the different gelatos that they have, which are pretty darn good. If you plan on eating inside, be prepared for dirty tables left with trash on them and not cleaned. Apparently it may have been too difficult for some customers to take their used cups and spoons and place them into the trash cans right next to them.
Highly recommend the hazelnut gelato!
I. L.
Got a discount via tasting tour. Gelato was delicious. Plus the employee let you try flavors before you buy, pretty awesome. Me and the wife really liked it.
D. B.
Big disappointment. We had had gelato at Gelupo after a dinner at Boccadilupo some months ago and found it pretty good: yesterday we went there hungry for good ice cream, and weren't that lucky.
I had peach + raspberry: from the first spoon the raspberry revealed the spongy and gummy substance that sorbettos and gelatos take when low-quality thickeners are used (or in too big a quantity). The taste was equally disappointing: when I can sense the thickener in the taste, that's definitely a bad experience for me. The peach was mildly better, with a good scent of peach, but the density was also suspect, and the flavour was simply not of the high level that I expect from an Italian gelateria. My partner in the meantime had chosen espresso and hazelnut: the espresso was the best flavour we had that day (although she found it a bit too sour), but the hazelnut... she started feeding me spoonfuls of it because it was disappointing and she wanted to get to the coffee soon. I keep reading that this is one of the best gelaterias in London if not the best: think again, I can list at least two places (times 2/3 because they have more than one shop) that are way ahead of this place if this is their average quality.
S. C.
Best ice cream in London, full stop. A select few flavours each time (around 10?), but all seem to be lovingly made 2 or 3 tables and a bar to sit at if you want to stay indoors
M. W.
Great ice cream in a cosy shop (and interesting looking truffles to buy!) Definitely recommend the mint flavour - fresh and original. Others looked equally good.
R. A.
London isn't great for Ice cream, but this place is amazing. A great selection of sorbets & ice cream that are literally mouth watering, perfect for a hot day. Although saying that, it is a tad on the pricey side.
C. M.
The icecream is good, fresh and original ingredients
A. (.
Delicious- you can taste the quality ingredients. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for!
Z. P.
This gelato bar seems somewhat unassuming when you first walk in... but oh the flavours! Just one look at that daily changing menu and you know you're in for a treat. The first time I visited I had a blood orange sorbet, followed by ricotta, chocolate & black pepper gelato (insanely good). On a repeat visit, they had a chocolate with pig's blood gelato – which I made my non-vegetarian other half taste! (Good apparently.) I had a pumpkin and cinnamon one that was so delicious it made me frown and nod a lot! Love the inventiveness and just how good the end result is.
A. M.
I have been to every reputable gelato vendor in London. Gelupo is clearly the best, and with two guest flavours every month by top chefs from around the world, it keeps getting better. Bravo Gelupo
F. S.
Good prices, coffee is cheap and scoop price is competitive to other places. Quality ice cream in which you can taste the individual ingredients. Highly recommend to those who want a change from mcflurry
K. M.
If you haven't heard of this place, you need to educate yourself quickly. Actual, proper gelato not the "gelato" so many places offer, slap bang in the middle of Archer Street with beautiful blue awning. Italian flavours like swirled lemon curd and chocolate ricotta with black pepper make for a difficult choice when you're limiting yourself to a small cup. I could easily have a large with ALL the flavours! They do of course offer the more traditional pistachio and 'milk’ flavours too.
M. A.
Good gelato, I loved the sour cherry and ricotta flavour.
S. D.
I love Gelupo very very much, their ice cream is fantastic, they change the flavours all the time, you can have a little try to help you decide, they do a great cup of coffee, the blood orange granita is fantastic if you have a hangover, they do really good cakes which are very good value
I just like it OK
C. H.
Amazing Gelato - the pistachio flavour was excellent!
M. B.
Never cease to amaze me with their ice cream!
S. K.
After many a recommendation I finally paid this place a visit and was delightfully impressed. The gelato is some of the best around; super yummy and an interesting selection too. I had the 'blood orange' and 'coffee and hazelnut' and would recommend both!
D. M.
The ice cream was delicious and would recommend if you're in the area. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because I've been to places with a better selection of cones and ice cream
A. L.
This is THE go-to place for gelato in London as it's menu is forever changing with what's in season AND they have proper granita which is SUPER fresh, not just icy but in terms of real punch in flavour. My favourite granita there is only available in the summer and I am not disclosing the flavour as I don't want it to sell out when the season is so limited, but my other year round favourite is mint granita. The gelato is not only seasonal, they also do themed flavours! E.g. to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee, they had Coronation Chicken flavour (which I didn't try but that's pretty original right)? For Christmas they had Bonet, which is an Italian dessert made with figs, mixed nuts and cocoa - what's not to love. But be warned, LONG queues on hot days and don't eat outside the door next-door.
M. M.
I've been here a couple of times now, always something new on the menu and if you don't want ice cream the polenta cake is amazing too, as is the coffee. I loved!!!!
S. D.
Great flavours and delicious gelato, love Gelupo!
C. S.
One of, if not the best ice cream so far in London. The ice cream is so creamy and tasty. I would go back everyday if I could. Better value than chin chin labs and most other places.
E. C.
Delicious! Walking distance from Piccadilly circus. Decent selection to choose from. Unique flavors (my husband had Fig leaf. I had honeycomb). A little expensive for the serving size though.
A. D. B.
A great Italian gelato. I love it!
B. R.
Certainly a contender for the best gelato in London. One stand-out isn't even ice-cream, but blood orange granita. Try the hazelnut (my perennial favourite), or one of the more special-sounding options. These change frequently, but I'd hesitate to call them simply 'specials', because everything is truly delicious.
S. S.
Very average gelato. Maybe we picked the wrong flavors but all three of us had different flavors and none of them were good.
P. R.
Delicious gelato - flavors are all pretty unique though (so don't go there if you're just looking for standard flavors like chocolate and vanilla).
O. G.
Delightful gelato with real flavour. I previously tried a mint one which tasted just like fresh mint, not the usual synthetic flavour of most places. Today I tried a clementine gelato that again amazed with its rich authentic flavour.
S. M.
I know that Gelupo is the Italian word for ice-cream. And in this place the offered ice-cream is mouth-watering. The price is good, quite normal for our standard of living. I dream of eating a vanilla one there.
T. B.
A great little gelato cafe in the heart of Soho, serving high quality Italian-style gelato in a range of inventive and delicious flavours like 'apricot and amaretto', and 'ricotta, coffee and honey' (had both, both were terrific).
C. C. G.
I remember first finding Gelupo whilst wondering the streets of Soho. As a spaniard living in London I have many a time searched for a truly mouth watering ice cream, and when I found Gelupo it felt like I'd met my soul mate (okay okay slight exaggeration) but in all honesty, Gelupo's flavours (which range from good old chocolate to Earl Grey) will not disappoint you. Definitely give it a go!
A. D. B.
Incredibly yummy gelato. They always have new flavours and are happy to let you try before you buy. And it tends to be that you’re a bit confused by the new flavour until you try it – and then are amazed by how yummy it is!
A. Y.
Fantastic ice cream made with great quality ingredients. But quite pricy. Also difficult to get a table/somewhere to sit. Must try their pistachio though!
M. C.
Best mint ice cream I have tasted so far. Had to take a ticket and wait to order but was totally worth it and the experience was efficient but not rushed, could take your time to taste and decide.
J. C.
Ohhh this gelato is just lovely and moreish and creamy and just perfect.
I love that Gelupo is tucked away in Soho which means it's never overly busy when I visit, I certainly think its Gelato for Londoner's - not tourists.
Try the blood orange one, my favourite by far!
M. R.
Great ice cream, lots of interesting combinations - and try the zabalione (strong coffee with egg yolk in it - lovely!). Oddly enough noticed in a YouTube documentary that this address used to be a jazz club that the likes of Marty Feldman would frequent! 😎
N. K.
Exquisite and exotic vegan gelato flavors available: bitter chocolate, blood orange, grapefruit, raspberry, Durian (!), and more... Absolutely amazing!
L. G.
Yummy fresh Italian gelati. Everything is made onsite and although expensive you are paying for the quality. Flavours change regularly and great for post-dinner wandering dessert.
C. T.
You'll find very few traditional flavours here. Expect more along the lines of 'peanut caramel and raspberry' or 'ricotta and sour cherry' whilst being peppered with Cuban music. Scoops are sloppy and huge. Team with a decent Ozone coffee or unusual chocolate/gelato/cream drink concoction.
L. E.
Best ice cream in the UK by a country mile. The nut flavours are always brilliant, but the menu changes daily so worth visiting as often as you can. Daily, go daily.
n. s.
lovely ice cream, great range of flavours!
R. K.
To my mind the best gelato in London. Always an interesting selection of flavours and serving is always speedy. Not necessarily a great place to stop and eat though
D. C. 4.
best amazing gelato place in central London, hosts an amazing selection of sorbets/gelatos from coronation chicken to chocolate chip. very afordable, very limited seating but being open late totally makes up for it. Grab your sorbet and take a walk through Soho.
s. c.
my go to for affagato/ice cream when local. Great Italian gelato. give is a go (morello cherry is just mmmmm!)
I. M.
Walked over from lunch in Chinatown. It's tucked a little off the main street, but this place is buzzing with people outside and inside. Yes, there's almost always a line. Yes, it's absolutely worth it. I got the simplest coconut gelato and savored every spoonful. Best gelato I've had anywhere in the world thus far.
P. M.
The best ice cream in London. Incredibly flavourful without being too sweet. Innovative selection of flavours too. You'll come back more often than you'll anticipate.
P. T.
10+ flavours of ice creams / sorbets which change day by day. Tastes great and friendly staff. Well worth making a detour to visit Gelupo.
J. E.
Easily my favourite dessert place in London. Amazing flavours, great texture. The pistachio gelato in particular is a must try.
C. G.
Real Italian gelati experiene with flavours changing daily. For people in the know... When dining in Soho, I tend to skip dessert and have one of their granita instead. Intense in flavour, enchanting. They also do the best Italian coffee in town. Have your espresso with Sabayon, with a scoop of ice cream or go for the Bicerin, the special Turin hot chocolate with coffee and cream! You will also find a small épicerie at the back.
H. D.
The pistachio was the absolute BEST ice cream/gelato/custard any of them I've ever had! So good!
L. V.
Easily some of the best pistachio ice cream in London. Wonderfully clean flavours and deliciously light textures. The decor is inviting and the back of the store houses a great deal more treats...
J. B.
Best ice cream and gelato in London. Often a long queue but it’s always worth it. Large range of flavours. Absolutely delicious! And some surprising options too!
P. M.
The best ice cream in London. Incredibly flavourful without being too sweet. Innovative selection of flavours too. You'll come back more often than you'll anticipate.

Chocolate Sorbet is good, but not exceptional. We also tried the coconut ice cream, which was OK, nothing to highlight. Fair service and really good ambient music selection!

Great gelato in central London! So many excellent flavours to choose from. Nice interior with a few tables and seats. Very busy at times but worth the short wait.
O. C.
The best ice cream I have EVER had!! The salted caramel and pecan, mint straciatella and Mexican chilli chocolate are to DIE FOR! Highly recommend!!!
S. N.
My favourite place for ice cream. Been coming here since it opened almost 7 years now. Great selection of flavours. Though my favourite has always been the tiramisu, but they've not had that for a long time.
S. G.
Fantastic gelato in central London ! Had the ricotta/sour cherry and pistachio. Quality ingredients, great decor, friendly staff - will definitely be back.
S. -.
Oh yes. This place never ceases to cap off a dinner. There's simply no point in paying £6-10 for a dessert elsewhere when you can come here and have a gelato induced toungue-gasm (yeah I went there) for £3. Seriously though it's that good. Personal faces: pistachio (will you marry me?), coconut, blood orange and raspberry
H. S.
Very tasty and good portions! No regrets!
M. A.
Lots of choice and a decent sized scoop!
J. X.
+ good selection of flavours; friendly staff
- limited seating
S. S.
Quality was great years ago but now has come down a lot. Watery ice cream these days and prices increased dramatically. 5£ for 2 scoops.
L. T.
Gorgeous creamy Gelato. What more does one need? The queue is inside...!
A. C. C.
Delicious Italian ice cream. I live the creamy gelato, but they also have sorbet and they're really good. Extremely nice staff as well.
J. P.
This authentic and very cute Gelato store sits opposite it's a larger sibling restaurant - the much hyped (and deservingly so!) Bocca di Lupo. From the outside, it's small and unassuming windows would have most people walking past without a second glance, but the long queues that snake out of the door on a hot day are very telling of the treats that lay inside. Delicious Gelato (bee pollen and blood orange FTW), panettone slabs the size of your head and a great Italian deli in the back selling everything from truffles to caviar.
A great place to grab a scoop of gelato but don't bet on getting a seat!
Y. P.
Best ice cream around
S. H.
My happy place. Normally get two scoops in a cup, ricotta and sour cherry is always in the mix. Staff are welcoming and keep the line moving in busy periods.
S. C.
The ice cream is very creamy with some interesting flavors in the menu. It's of the main road so easily missed but definitely worth it.

Gelato-Hunting: Sometimes finding a rare gem in the middle of Soho is an artform to its own, like this cute gelateria tucked in a small street behind the Apollo Theatre.
I like the choice of flavours here and the decor is quite nice with a touch of summer beach fun.
m. s.
the taste of a sweet lovely childhood in my home town
C. H.
Had the ice cream at the Gelupo gelateria. The oddly pink blood orange is a miss, but the marron glace? Delicious. I also like the display of Italian groceries and cookery books at the back.
W. L.
Very unforgettable moment when I drop here at Gelupo. Its my happiest day that I've done in my life. I really like sweets food including the sweet stuffs in here. Place are so cool too.
W. C.
Great ice cream with interesting flavours (try the ricotta and sour cherry!), friendly staff and a bit of seating.
Can get quite warm at the back of the store, but that's a good excuse for ice cream
J. K.
Amazing ice cream served in very generous scoops by lovely staff. Makes me think about the time I had real gelato in Italy.
s. m.
Quick & efficient service despite the long queue. Ice cream was beautiful! I tried the Ricotta Coffee & Honey. Definitely in my top 3.
P. J.
Had to wait a bloody time to get served and they only had one staff member serving when it was clearly a very busy time! Other than that, ice cream was good despite being on the expensive side and store decor was quite nice and unique.
J. S.
I'm a diehard Amorino enthusiast, but when I want somewhere to sit down and relax while enjoying my gelato, I come here.
Friendly staff, great gelato, loads of flavours... What more could you want.
W. J.
Defo one of the best ice cream in London, also very reasonably priced!!!!

Great ice cream in Central London
T. Y.
Lovely gelato place. Lots of flavours to choose from. I don't usually eat gelato much but this place has converted me. Highly recommended.
I. T.
Superb, 4yr old, 2 parents and a grandma all enjoyed their ice creams. In fact the 4 year old didn't realise she was eating a chocolate sorbet, not ice cream!
G. K.
Really great ice cream and the proper stuff! Highly recommended!
D. W.
Been here twice. Very good gelato. Personal favourites are pistachio and bitter chocolate. Queue gets long at peak hours.
P. V.
Amazing ice cream. Staff were helpful when I needed to but some pistachio paste. The black cherry and mascarpone ice cream was particularly good.
S. A.
The ice-cream is amazing and definitely deserves 5 stars! the service, especially the online homedelivey service is very poor though and the long queue are a big downside!
B. T.
They didn't have any tiramisu flavour left by the time I got there. So I had raspberry which was really good.
V. M.
Gelato and sorbet in both classic and novel flavours. Also serves afogato and hot chocolate (with a scoop of ice cream floating on top).
J. W.
Really tasty, high quality gelato. The flavours are a lot more subtle than the descriptions might suggest.
K. K.
Simply superb flavours! Strawberry and pink peppercorn was a killer combination! So wad elderflower, kiwi and gin and salted caramel!
J. C.
Excellent gelato and customer service, would go again.

As always delicious ice creams and sorbets with lots of unusual flavours. Always seek this place out if we want ice cream in London.
J. L.
Delicious ice creams, it's curious that you don't see them, you can also sit down. I love their panettone filled with ice cream, they don't always have it though
A. r.
Omg this place is amazing!!!! And it's super cute on the inside too, service was outstanding, very warm, friendly, and welcoming. I'm sure I was difficult only because I had a hard time choosing between everything, but she was really patient with me which I appreciated.
E. Y.
Ice creams are always super tasty. A great variety with good quality.
B. L.
Best Ice cream place in London in my opinion. Pistachio....is the best.
J. M.
Tasty ice cream but sometimes off the wall flavours. Strawberry was nice but I was not so sure about the watermelon and cinnamon
J. S.
Great unusual flavours you don't find in other places. Been in a few times now and not been disappointed with the variety. Their sorbets are great.
A. J.
Expensive BUT amazing ice cream, good service and a nice shop. I had a white peach sorbet and a summer pudding. I loved them.
A. Y.
Unique and seasonal flavors in addition to the classics. Definitely worth stopping by.
G. G.
Gelato is very nice but is expensive. Also they don't have the chocolate flavour. Really?
V. P.

One of my fav ice cream shop in Central London. Though my mate and I try to avoid “cream”, still we pop in from time to time.
C. R.
One of the best gelaterias in London albeit stupidly expensive. But I've you've got rich friends visiting from overseas (who can take advantage of the worthless £) take them here and get them to pay!
E. C.

A very good ice-cream 🍦, with a very good quality service.
L. J.
Lemon is not too sour or too sweet, just the perfect balance, and the hazelnut is very delicious!
S. P.
The ice-cream options are fantastic and pricing really reasonable. It's always a favourite with friends after dinner elsewhere.
A. K.
Amazing icecream. On my top 5 london list. I tried the 'michelin' rose and cardamom cone. Just fabulous!!!
A. M.
Used to have exceptional ice cream a year ago, but lately not so good - less creamy and more cloying. Still not bad, though.
l. l.
Many great choices for flavour. And it all tastes really good. Would highly recommend it, I brought friends from overseas and they all enjoyed it too.
F. H.

N. P.
Refreshing and tasty gelato from a sweet spot in Soho
L. Q.
Very nice Italian gelato. The hot chocolate is too rich so small size is OK, large is too much
A. C.
Quite simply the best gelato in London! Another little gem from Jacob Kennedy! Gelupo is located opposite Bocca di Lupo on Archer St. My absolute fav is ricotta sour cherry flavour..perfect combination of sweet and sour! A match made in heaven.
C. D.
The best ice cream and sorbets in Soho. Despite being hidden away on a back street there is often a long queue, but it goes quickly.
A. G. (.
You are fussy about where to get your ice cream cone/cup from - or want your dessert on the go after a nice meal in Soho! Go Gelupo Gelato!
