Reviews of La Gelatiera
P. S. R.
Great choice of desserts. Gelato flavours are amazing. Staff are helpful and get the line moving as fast as possible. I would recommend Sea Salted Caramel, Roasted peanut butter and Sicilian Pistachio here. There are muffins and cookies available off the counter which are worth trying.
The place can be easily reached from Piccadilly Circus or Leicester Square.

No wonder they have won so many awards. The vegan Pistachio and the Dark chocolate in particular where amazing. So good. There is lovely atmosphere there too in this tiny quirky shop and the staff could not have been more kind and helpful! Will be back in the spring to see what's is on the tap :)
L. S.
We have to wait a little time to be able to order as there was one person only in Friday night, but staff was really nice and polite and kept apologies for the waiting. Tried this ice cream for the first time and it was really good, like their lemon and strawberry flavours. The sitting area is cozy and nice. Like that you can have two flavours in the small portion so the price is good and they have baby con which is always a good option for small kids.

Fabulous gelato, really flavorsome. I had the Persian and it was very fresh, and a wonderful balance of the strong flavors.
Only improvement is that the shop feels cramped, the atmosphere could be a little nicer and more well-decorated.
A.
The best Gelato probably in the whole world, in my opinion. Great texture and range of flavours that vary seasonally. My favourites: pistachio and matcha green tea!
H. S. (.
the ice cream here was lovely and the flavours were fragrant! staff here were also really friendly :) just wish there were more flavour options to choose from and the shop is quite small so getting seating here is hard.
C. M.
The place was recommended by a friend, so we went with my wife and kids, that was a great advice! If you love gelati and sorbetti, you will have a great experience. Quality, staff and shop are all 5 stars
H. Z.
Tried two festive scoops. Mulled wine & pear is super delicious; highly recommended. Panettone & rum is perhaps too sweet and lacks a fresh tinge. Both contains alcohol, also you cannot taste at the same time as you are eating.
C. L. G.
Excellent ice-cream gelaterie. Mix of Italian flavours. Good service, welcoming stuff!
T. L.
Delicious ice cream with inventive flavours. Make sure you visit next time you are strolling along the Southbank.
J. F.
They only had one staff so we had to queue for a while. Was happy to be able to choose 3 flavours for a medium cup. Loved the peanut butter one, but the honey rosemary one and the strawberry one were just okay.
T. I.
Had a some time before a meeting, so went for a gelato, staff was very cool and ice cream delicious with a great Italian espresso.
M. R.
I visited that place today and tried 2 flavours: spiced pumpkin which was fine (not really my cup of tea but the ice cream was tasty anyway) and pistachio which was amazing. I'll definitely come back to try some other flavours 🤩
M.
Lovey place to be, with amazing choices of Gelato.
The service provided today was fabulous 😊
I had a try of almost every flavour before purchasing my final gelato scoop 🤩
Thank you for your patience 🙏🏻
A. C.
True flavours ice cream parlor, we tired the pistachio, dark chocolate, berries and was just mesmerized by the taste..worth a try for some yummy dessert.
S. M.
Several vegan flavours to choose from. The dark chocolate one was amazing, so full of flavour without being overly sweet or rich. My sister had the mint chocolate and said it was great too.
T. P. C. H.
Delicious ice-creams and very natural flavours, specially the mint one actually tasted like the mint plant, the oreo one was amazing too, you could feel the oreo flavour in every bite! The ones that have vanilla flavour are very much like eating a sweet cloud.
H. A.
LISTEN TO ME. If you want quality desert, you need to visit La Gelatiera. If you want great customer service, you need to visit La Gelatiera. If you need help with a sweet tooth, enjoy trying new scrummy flavours of ice cream and want it at a reasonable price, you need to visit La Gelatiera. In a nutshell, you need to visit La Gelatiera.
B. B.
Absolutely delicious ice cream. I had the lemon sorbet and the honey and rosemary, both of which were lovely. My only fault would be that I only realised afterwards that I'd paid the same amount for two scoops of ice cream in a cone as my friend did for three scoops.
m. v.
Service was good, the place is nice and clean with few tables outside. The ice cream wasn’t phenomenal and left us unsatisfied. 4£ for a small cone with 2 flavors, at this price the ice cream must be really good and unfortunately it wasn’t.
T. S.
Amazing! There were so many I wanted. Truly organic and fresh place. The owner and staff is so knowledgeable! They do smoothies , milkshakes, coffee. I highly recommend! My boyfriend who has a very sensitive stomach even feel in love with this place!!
n.
Iv been a regular to this shop since 2012. A great place for gelato away from Italy. The combination of some of the flavour they have is juts Genius. Always go for the basil and Chili or honey comb, rosemary and orange and recently found out the pear and Parmesan cheese that taste amazing. Always a day stop whenever am in London.
A.
Great little gelato shop away from the more touristy places. We tried the matcha, salted caramel and pistachio all of which were fresh and full of flavour. The pricing isn't bad for the quality and the staff are helpful and happy to offer samples. Some of the other flavours are interesting\slightly odd so we will certainly be back to try more
R. C.
Fantastic gelato place. I highly recommend the basil and chili flavour of you are looking for something a little bit different. But all the flavours are great. Portions are good too and the staff are always lovely.
A. Y. W.
There are many places for ice cream in London, but I still love this place the most. Pistachio and Honey, rosemary, orange zest are my two favourite flavours, so delicious! I can never get tired of them!
S. D.
Some nice flavours but my toddler had vegan vanilla and it tastes more like lemon. Staff not very helpful.
B. H.
Not only was the ice-cream delicious but the staff were SO kind! I left my purse here by accident and had it returned to me with all the cash still in it.
I am super grateful for such honest people. You made me so happy after a very difficult few days.
Thank you so much :)
H. R.
Delicious ice cream. The queue was massive but it was a baking hot day. Lovely raspberry ice cream. My niece had mint and thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend. I would defo go back as there is a huge selection of ice cream and sorbet to choose from
D. R. L.
Best Gelato shop in the world, with Great Taste award track record. 18 different flavours every day, ranging from all time classics like pistachio, dark chocolate or honey rosemary and orange zest, to weird combos like Cornish Blue cheese with caramelized walnuts!
Excellent coffee, absolutely NO REUSED MILK, options for vegans and gluten-free diets.
S. N.
Head to New Row to indulge in some Gelato! The best way to find the place is head towards the Noel Coward Theatre. Across the road you will see Mr Fogg's Gin Tavern (I think??) And up that little street is La Gelatiera. Be warned it is a little small and if you are lucky and your timing is on point you can grab yourself a seat by the window and people watch. The staff are helpful and you can taste the flavours to figure out which one suits your tastes. I usually go for one or two of my favourites raspberry sorbet/ dark chocolate or caffe latte along with a double espresso. I know a little weird but that's just me!
Sorry about the lack of photos. This is the small cup with 2 scoops .. and just like the small bowl of porridge was just right for Goldilocks.. the small cup was just right for me !!
S. C.
We found this place on Google because of a good review for vegan ice cream.... and we weren't disappointed, my daughter assures me her vegan choice was delicious...and the peanut chocolate and caramel pot I had was scrumptious (generous portions too)
C. D.
This was a great late night find after seeing “Witness for the Prosecution” because they had interesting flavors and a vegan option. They even had a gluten free cone and a gluten free, dairy free brownie.
I had the vegan dark chocolate gelato in a gluten free cone. The vegan option was very rich in taste but a bit much and I wasn’t a fan of the gluten free cone though appreciate that it was an option. They give customers a huge portion — even with one scoop — and I mean huge, so I wasn’t able to finish mine.
I had the gluten free, dairy free brownie the next morning and that was awesome. The brownie was dense in chocolate flavor and filling. It didn’t taste gluten free nor dairy free.
My spouse had two different flavors: peanut butter/chocolate/caramel (which he raved about) and a raspberry cheesecake which he thought was just average.
The gelatiera is small but they have adequate seating for a handful of customers. The staff was very patient with my husband trying different flavors and me asking questions about the gluten free options they had.
A. B. (.
I had pistachio and chocolate hazelnut, best ice cream ever
M. S.
Best gelato I've ever had. The photo is Matcha + chocolate & chili but I did come back that day and tried more flavours, all amazing. Also this is the first place I saw that doesn't stack the scoops on top of each other so you can eat both flavours at the same time.
L. W.
Not the usual tastes you would expect, but even better and all are sooooo good. The place is small and there are not many places to sit but the movement of people is fast. They also have options for vegan!
T. B.
What a cute little shop. Super friendly staff and the most delicious unusual ice creams! I can definitely recommend the Rosemary, honey and orange flavour. 1st time I've had this combination and won't be the last! 😍😍😍
Not many seats if you want to sit down but no worries if there is no space, just grab a cone and eat on the go as you enjoy the atmosphere around Covent Garden!
W. T. d. S.
Amazing service! Popped in on a whim. Will definitely come back! The person that saw to us was super nice!
A. A.
Absolutely wonderful experience being here!
I love this ice cream, the best in the world!
Nociola is the best (my favourite one)
I also love Affogato (it’s a double shot expresso with a delicious scoop of ice cream)
The staff are extremely friendly, very welcoming, knowledgable and professional!
LOVE IT
N. K.
This is my favourite Gelato location in London and I think I've likely been to all of them.
There is just something very welcoming about this particular location though small it is in the perfect place for an after dinner treat.
I've tried a lot of flavours but my favourite was the White chocolate and Pistachio cream which I think might be on rotation, so if you see if make sure you get it!
Oh and I should mention that it has good vegan options, a vegan friend of mine was most impressed when he visited.
Y. H.
Delicious Gelato!
Honey, Rosemary& Orange Zests and Pistachio are both good!
Price is reasonable.
Small 3.5£ for 1 or 2 flavors
Medium 4.5£ for 2 or 3 flavors
Would recommend!
M. W.
Stepping into this place takes you straight to Italy. Lovely and diverse flavours. Definitely recommend
C. H.
Amazing organics gelato/ice cream, wonderful variety of original flavours (e.g. rosemary, honey & orange) and a welcome escape from the bustle around St Martin's Lane. Large servings. Friendly staff. Nice music. Recommended 🎶
S. A.
The gelato was absolutely delicious. I went for the classic pistachio and hazelnut and added watermelon to it and the flavour combination was amazing. Would 100% recommend this place.
J. C.
I've been to many ice cream parlours around Europe, and this is still consistently the best gelato you can get in London. Almost just as good as the gelatos you can get in Italy. The chocolate and chili flavor is refreshing but also gives a nice kick.
S. E. F.
Really nice and tasty gelato! But, the shop is tiny and we couldn't even fit on the tables. Staff is friendly and prices are really good! They have some awsome flavors, like the salted caramel and the peanut butter flavors. Definitely going back there!!
R. O.
Lots of lovely ice creams to try. Pistachio was tasty. Friendly service
S. I.
Me and my mum went there as an after dinne treat and are expectations were not let down! The gelato (recomended to us) was delicious and I'm my option just as good as the stuff from Italy! The portion servings were very generous and the staff really really lovely and chatty. Next time we are in London er will definitely be making another visit!
S. M.
Really great ice-cream. The flavours were so nice. Vegan and gluten free choices available in lots of different flavours. Really creamy ice-cream, I would defiantly go again.
g. g.
Great location,Lovely dessert and overall experience is great with polite staff.
However the staff literally just take the order from my friend and completely ignored me nor ask me do I want to order (normally you would ask, we were the only 2 person that were there) as well so I just ended up standing for a couple of minutes alone while my friend waited outside until the another lady return.Perhaps she is new but the lack of attendance might need improvement.
C. T.
Authentic, creamy and fresh gelato. Nice staff and cosy place to have a italian coffee and gelato. I highly recommend the dark chocolate, pistachio and Nocciola. A must in an ice cream lover list!
H. H.
The gelato was delicious. Good selection of flavours and friendly staff. However, the wait time was insane. Not sure it's good enough to justify a 30min for a takeaway cone... Would go again if they hired more staff.
L. S.
This place is almost always busy, and there's a reason for that! Stunning, flavourful gelato and a wide range of vegan friendly sorbets - the Sicillian Pistachio is a must, and the dark chilli chocolate a real delight.
M. H.
Delicious gelato. The half liter take home tub didn't make it home though. Too tempting to eat it all on this hot day! Matcha, lemon and Sicilian pistachio :p
y. L.
Super nice staff (probably the best customer service I’ve experienced in London) and good flavour of gelato. Loved their Pistachio
T. K.
I've been here 3 times. On the last visit the scoop was significantly smaller. They were busy though. Bit unhappy about the size of the scoop. Still very delicious
F. B.
Gelato artigianale! Only one word! Very good, natural, fresh , seems like having it in Italy. Well done! Excellent Customer service
E. D.
Amazing gluten free cone and selection of ice creams - absolutely delicious!
N. K.
Super good ice cream but unfortunately the staff was incredibly impatient and rude. She didn't like people looking at the ice cream to choose a flavour, she rolled her eyes and shouted at people super disrespectfully, the covid rules were also super unconclusive and didn't match the instructions written on the door.
The ice cream was good but the experience wasn't. Don't think I'd return.
H. S.
I passed by by mistake and it was probably the most amazing gelato place I’ve been to in my life. MUST GO!
G. D.
Great variety of classic and creative flavors. Bonus points for allowing 2 flavors in a small cone and offering baby cones of gelato as well!
K. S.
I've been lactose intolerant for years, and I've cream had been the worst thing I could possibly eat. After seeing a review saying this place had "the best vegan ice cream ever" I had to try it. I was not disappointed. I was even more beside myself with excitement when I saw they had vegan pistachio gelato. It used to be my favourite flavour, but I have yet to find a dairy free one in the shops. It was pure, unadulterated heaven. It may be years since I had some, but it was the best pistachio ice cream I've ever had. You could taste the actual pistachios, not an artificial flavour in sight. Had I thought I stood even half a chance of getting it home across the country without melting it, I would've bought a litre tub (or four). I just wish I had discovered it earlier, as we'll be leaving London before they reopen tomorrow.
I will 100% be back. As soon as I can!
D. J. Y. P.
100% natural and made fresh daily?!? Yes please!!! I went back the next day because the combo I had was AMAZING. Honey, rosemary & orange zest with Kyoto matcha. Superb. I was waiting and a fresh delivery came in.
e. r.
good options for vegan ice cream in flavours i have never seen before like pistachio
M. S. B. H.
Lise and her entourage of scooping associates always make us feel welcome and special. And it’s usually an adventure to see what new creations might be in the freezer that day!
K. K.
Been three years since I had it last and it was so worth the wait. Pistachio, all time favourite and mint chocolate, amazing
J. H.
Great customer service and awesome music! Gives it a fun vibe when eating ice cream! Must try the Peanut Butter Carmel one! Fantastic!!!
S. S.
The pistachio gelato cone with a matcha latte is my go-to happy meal, the staff is also so kind and patient letting me gradually decide which flavour I wanted to go with!
A.

Enjoy freshly brewed coffee, rich creamy gelato in a small, cozy hipster gelateria.
R. C.
Delicious ice cream in a great location! Good variety of flavours and vegan options!
A. A.
One of the best ice cream places in London. Love the taste and selection.
R. J.
My all time favourite ice cream joint in London. Been a regular for 7 or 8 years and it never disappoints. Great tasting regular flavours and a varied and rotating range of choices as well. Always a bit of a challenge to get a seat, but worth standing in the street to eat it...
P. M.
I thought I made a mistake when I was served the Pistachio Sorbet because I wanted icecream. How wrong was I? Absolutely delicious I can say THE BEST sorbet I've ever tasted. Really nice vibe in the place, friendly staff. I cant wait to go back. Highly recommended
J. H.
generous portion gelato near the Leicester Square station. Pistachio flavor was really good and the service was really a attentive.
N.
Amazing food choices. Good taste in music. Absolutely love it the staff are very friendly. Definitely worth a try!
A. M.
I love the pistachio ice cream, they are amazing.
The portions were adequate to the price. Love that you can chose up to 3 flavours in the medium size ice cream.
Moreover, they let you try ice cream if you are not sure, this is great especially when they have some unusual flavours as an option.
V. A.
My favourite ice-cream place. Generous portions, an amazing selection of flavours, and reasonable prices. It's not a big place, so you might have to take your ice-cream to go, but it's worth it. Today's endorsement comes from taking one of my most difficult to impress friends here, and him going, "I love you".
B. W.
Cute little ice cream shop. Very pure, high quality flavours. Highly recommend them!!
M. K.
Varied, interesting ice cream selection and great coffee to match. Open late, yet staff are always polite. Great for a pre or post theatre snack. Limited seating but decent and allows you to watch the world go by with your ice cream. Recommend.
W. H.
Excellent gelato I've ever tried, lovely services. Definitely the best one gelato shop in London.
E. S.
Favourite gelato place in London - I can't go past the peanut butter, caramel and dark chocolate flavour. Beautifully smooth, and very generous portions. Not much seating - not unusual for that street - and the inside of the shop can get very warm, so you may want to take it to go. Gluten free options (cones and gelato) available, and well marked. I recommend it to any friends or family visiting.
M. T. D.
Popped in yesterday and can see why it was award winning. As someone who hasn't had ice cream since having Gelato in Italy pre-lockdown it was what I needed! Hit the spot perfect. The gelato is well priced so 3 flavours we're perfect.
Seriously amazing flavour selection and even vegan friendly! Eager to pop back and try the crepes. Really cute and intimate space in a lush spot of central. - would deffo treat someone to this place on a date if anyone needs ideas
A. C.
Amazing gelato and such friendly generous staff too. They'll let you split one scoop in half to try two flavours and that is plenty! They will also let you try several flavours before choosing. So kind. Pistachio, hazelnut and the chocolate are my favourite.
J. E.
The ice cream from here is excellent. The staff are friendly and the selection spoilt for choice!
A. R.
Good Ice Cream! Fresh ingredients without sugary taste. They offer several special flavors that are rotated and a few of the standard flavors. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the product. They are willing to offer you great suggestions for you to try.
D. M.
Wonderful!! Surely the best Ice cream in London. So fresh and very creamy. Also the sorbets are amazing! Sicilian Pistacchio and Honey, rosemary and orange zests are incredible! The staff is so nice and they try to help in everything you need
For a person like me, an Italian in London, is like home thanks also to the Italian coffee they have.
Do you want to know what Italy tastes like? Go there!
Y. W.
I love this tiny ice cream place! even better than lots in Rome. chill chocolate is special! the host is so nice and she loves my dress. we had nice talk~ 5 stars recommend!
W.
Best gelato in London!!! I take everyone there. Little hole in a wall, incredible flavors, homemade, dairy free and vegan options are to die for!!!!!
I would walk all the way from Mayfair on my lunch break just to treat myself to a couple scoops. The chili dark chocolate is my favorite and the pistachio is the best ever!!!!
P. D.
My favourite ice cream joint in London. Has some weird/challenging flavours, but usually has a couple of old favourites on, so there's something for everyone. I have occasionally treated the family by bringing an insulated box of the stuff home, which always goes down well. Nice coffee too, not much room in there to sit down though!
N. K.
Wonderful vegan options in an otherwise non-vegan array of flavors. Place is too small to find seats, and too warm even on a cold day, and the line can be long, but it's totally worth it. The dark chocolate and the chili chocolate flavors are phenomenal. Do not miss if near Covent Garden or Leicester Square.
P. T.
Omg best vegan and dairy ice cream Ever! I'm in heaven.
V. P.
What a wonderful end to an evening, the flavours were different but delicious. The girl was so friendly and smiley. They may seem a little pricey for a tub of ice cream but it is very much worth it. They also offer beautiful cakes and treats, and next time before filling up on ice cream I am determined to sample their Oreo Hot Chocolate!
A firm favourite London gem.
R. M.
Delicious ice cream, especially the honey and rosemary flavour. Also loads of vegan options and so nice to see that not just limited to sorbets - the vegan pistachio was incredible too.
z.
Nice and quick service !
Super tasty IceCream !
5/5 ! 😁
R. M.
BEST customer service and ice-cream in the world! I saw the blue cheese ice cream on viral video, ....but they didn’t have it as a summer flavor. I was so sad (had traveled from the US and this was to be a highlight), so they sent me an email to come back on Tuesday and made it for me! Couldn’t believe it! The blue cheese ice cream was so good...creamy and the taste was balanced perfectly between the caramelized walnuts and the blue cheese taste.
U. B.
Best Italian ice cream in London.
my previous favorite place was gelatorino, close to opera house, which may be still the top for chocolate and creamy flavours, but la gelatiera has fantastic fruits flavours and more interesting choices, like ricotta cheese and pears. black sesame was also amazingly good, while personally I've found truffle a little too strong for my taste.
T. K.
Outstanding quality - worth every penny!
It's a beautiful shop with a lot to offer (even in the winter!) and friendly staff. The variety and quality of their ice-cream flavours are wonderful... I can see why they won so many awards. Try them!
L. O.
My favourite gelato in London
G. T.
Fantastic sorbets particularly dark fruit and lavender or pistachio. Totally delicious and regularly bring friends and colleagues here. Top notch every time and totally recommend. Coffee is really good too!
L. H.
The Pistachio gelato here was an interesting looking, beautiful dark green. I went for it out of curiosity, and it was likely the best tasting dessert I've ever had. Rich, flavorful, creamy... Really incredible. The white chocolate was incredible, the vanilla was incredible... It's probably a good thing I don't live in London, because this place would be hard to resist a visit every day.
R. M.
Best gelato place I’ve found outside of Italy! My fave is the peanut butter chocolate with salted caramel. They make really interesting flavours of gelato. It is always jam packed in there because it is a hole in the wall so don’t be put off by the queue. Get a loyalty card if you’re a local. It is not super cheap but definitely worth the cost. They also have nice cakes and coffees. Cosy little place to sit and have a chat with friends outside of tourist season.
M. L.
Delicious vegan ice cream! Super rich and friendly staff 😊
l. k.
Hands down my favorite ice-cream in London. This tiny place in the middle of busy central London is an oasis of pleasure and delight.
Pretty much every taste there is mind blowing - their Pistachio, coconut or dark chocolate sorbets are heavenly, but the less conventional ones are sometimes incredible: basil and chilli, honey with rosemary and orange zests, blue cheese with walnuts and honey
It's worth the queue!
S. B.
I am vegan and the hunt for dairy free chocolate is like the search for the holy grail. The dark chocolate here is great. I never thought I'd find a flavour that could tempt me away from chocolate but the pistachio sorbet is amazing. Definitely worth a detour. Best I have found in London
M. G.
Really small place but amazing ice cream flavours ! I had Sicilian pistachio and Dark chocolate/chilli (£5.30 the medium cup if I remember). They also do nice hot chocolate (as well as white hot chocolate or oreo) and coffee that I didn't try yet.
Open late for an ice cream shop.
Will go back for sure
D. M.
Just the best Ice creams you can get in London. I can’t even name a favourite flavour... ok, maybe the Cornish Blue. Or pistachio... or salted caramel...
A. L.
Incredible ice cream, some of the best. A little pricey but worth it for the quality and flavours.
A. Y.
A quaint place serving gelato and desserts. They have an interesting variety of flavours here. Really loved it! Salted caramel was my idea of heaven. Creamy texture and so many tempting combinations too. A must-try! I will come back to check out their coffee another time :) they have a loyalty card for coffee. £3 for 1 flavour, £4 for 2 flavours, £5 for 3...
c. c.
Best ice cream in the area! Great variety, interesting flavours and vegan friendly. They also vegan waffles!
F. H.
When I'm in the Covent Garden area, I always pay a visit to the Gelatiera. The flavours are original, freshly made on site and taste absolutely yummy. I've tasted their pistacchio ice-cream: this is the real stuff. I would recommend to try their chocolate sorbet as well. They also make authentic coffee, not the watery stuff you get at the green place.
What I like the most about this place? They make ice-cream with passion.
V. M.
Lovely gellato, pretty generous size and absolutely delicious. I tried a honey/rosemary/orange peel flavour and loved the experiment. Highly recommended.
L. C. D.
The ice cream was great but the social distancing rules were not evident, we were not met with a great deal of politeness by the member of staff that served us. However, nice food and great location
M. S.
Besssssst ice cream ever
Had mango
Hazelnut
Peanut butter
Latte
Yummmm
Nice little place to sit as well
!!!!!!!!!!😋
A. R.
Really good place for Italian ice cream in London and very likely one of the best. They have some seats inside and they also make coffee. The top attraction of this place is the various ice creams that they have, from the standard ones that you would find in Italy (e.g. hazelnuts) to some very interesting creative combinations. I often travel to London and this is certainly a place where I would pay at least a visit every time I'm around.
D. A.
The best gelato I had in Europe. Get the pistachio with strawberry 🤤
K. A.
A very recommended place to visit and have aa gelato ice cream.
I had the most satisfying gelato in London here at La Gelatiera. Feels like in Italy, the flavors are so authentic
G. D. F.
Very best gelato I've had in London. The place is cozy, the staff is very attentive and the different flavors are amazing. You can't go wrong with the pistachio one 😋
T. J.
Absolutely the best gelato in London, especially the brilliant better than ice cream vegan selection. The texture, the taste, the temperature (not too soft as often is the case) are spot on. Just as good are the friendly, patient staff who handle their busy, difficult job with aplomb! Good music, good atmosphere too. I love it. Only complaint is the single-use plastic spoons; most unfortunate as however good the gelato it's hardly worth thousands of plastic spoons sticking around in landfills etc for centuries to come, right? I expect better from a business that is otherwise setting the standard for the rest. Please? won't you source an alternative? Con forte affetto, Teresa
a. a.
You will no find more delicious gelato in London ,
I try yesterday the vegan baileys flavour and the flavour was sooooo good ! Amazing 😉 well done La Geltiera , keep the good work and create more delicious flavours. 🍧🍧🍧🍧🍧🍧🍧🍧🍧🍧🍧🍧🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨
J. P.
Delcious freshly made ice creams in a beautiful little shop. I've been here at least 5 times now and it's always so tasty. I would definitely recommend the peanut butter and the salted caramel ones.
M. R.
Great ice cream but my cone of matcha ice cream and basil & chilli was really small. After a couple of licks it was almost gone. Great range of flavours that include popular ones like strawberry and more unusual like those I had.
A. N.
Lovely, innovative flavours and decent sized portions. I liked being able to have two flavours in the smallest cup. Only downside is the tight surroundings, quite hard getting to the counter if it's busy. Only one person serving, which made things very slow. This place needs a bigger shop!
N. H.
Gelato was lovely but I didn't feel made to be very welcome. It is a small shop in a busy tourist area. I felt I had to fight my way to the counter and was a bit rushed when choosing. On the other hand the selection of sorbets (vegan) was really really good, and I guess that's what counts. Will definitely return despite the close quarters.
S. V.
My favourite properly Italian style icecream place in London
M. K.
Varied, interesting ice cream selection and great coffee to match. Open late, yet staff are always polite. Great for a pre or post theatre snack. Limited seating but decent and allows you to watch the world go by with your ice cream. Recommend.
V. A.
My favourite ice-cream place. Generous portions, an amazing selection of flavours, and reasonable prices. It's not a big place, so you might have to take your ice-cream to go, but it's worth it. Today's endorsement comes from taking one of my most difficult to impress friends here, and him going, "I love you".
d.
Great service lovely lady who served me, amazing hot chocolate, ice cream was very nice, I'd reccomend the strawberry and a scoop of peanut butter for sure
Y. W.
I love this tiny ice cream place! even better than lots in Rome. chill chocolate is special! the host is so nice and she loves my dress. we had nice talk~ 5 stars recommend!
K. B.
Great ice cream
C. K.
Really nice.
D. S.
Best ice cream in London. Cosy and service with a smile.
D. M.
Just the best Ice creams you can get in London. I can’t even name a favourite flavour... ok, maybe the Cornish Blue. Or pistachio... or salted caramel...
L. W.
Great gelato
W. N.
Love this place, the ice cream is plainly one the best I've tried. The UK calls everything gelato, but this place actually does have gelato. They change their offering every now and then so you can always experiment. I myself can't stop getting their vanilla, it's just so perfect.
A. A.
Simply the best Italian Gelato in town, the pistachio is a must-try and the chocolate flavours are divine. If you Like Ben & Jerry ice-cream this is probably not for you tho as flavours are natural and not overly sugary.
G. J.
One of the best Ice cream I've tasted (and I like quality gelato) and then the coffee !! Amazing taste very creamy - Yum
T. B.
During our recent visit, we stopped here more than anywhere else for a little something sweet. The gelato is top notch with unusual flavors that work. The staff wasn't always so tuned in - maybe after a long day that's to be expected. Have I had better gelato? Yes. In London? No. Worth stopping if you're in the area.
D. T.
Delicious ice cream and sorbets at a fair price. Superior to nearby rivals. Very central and worth a detour if you're within half a mile. There's a small seating area inside too but the stars are for the gelato.
M. P.
Nice, but a little expensive. It was a warm day and the inside of the shop was quite warm, the ice cream freezer must have been working overtime. The hazelnut was nice but the pistachio isn't as good as other gelato places (e.g. Oddanos). Probably wouldn't go back, considering the numerous options in the area.
S. B.
The vegan ice cream here tastes amazing. Only improvement would be if they went fully vegan. Not much seating space but its got a great vibe. I'll be going back for sure.
H. B.
I think I just had the most delicious icecream ever (honey with rosemary and orange and roasted peanut with cholocate and caramel) ...!! Added to that was the lovely lady who offered me all these flavours to try and three fact that you can have two flavours in one scoop!
M. F.
The gelato is very good. What I don't like and don't really understand is the need for the loud and horrible music which made it even difficult simply ordering my cone. I suspect it was a method to avoid having people lingering inside the place which is quite small and get crowded easily but I think it's downright hostile. Please do something about it.
M. K.
Lovely ice cream parlour with some of the most unusual ice cream flavours in London; Also waffles and pancakes, for the animal-product-eating visitors.
Surprises with the selection of *VEGAN* options, not just raspberry and mango sorbet, but also pistachio, almond, coconut AND dark chocolate with chilli.
R. B.
They've got basil & chilly and rosemary &orange flavors gelato! Try them!
M. G.
Came here last summer so slightly outdated, but I cant reccomend this shop enough, And the friend I was with (who is italian) said it reminded her of home. Great range of flavours and such wonderful staff. 10/10
R. V.
The ice cream is absolutely amazing, but tonight one of the italian girls who was serving, told us: "Can you bring the chairs inside because people can not sit down outside!". We didn't say anything, but I am sorry if we are customers!!! Plus she was really moody.
C. C.
Super nice staff and the gelato is good (7/10). Coming from Sicily, I have to say that the 'Sicilian' pistachio was quite disappointing but the chilli dark chocolate is worth the trip to covent garden!! well done! I will definitely go back there
유.
I had two scoops here yesterday: the nougat and the hazelnut - hazelnut was very good. Nougat was good but not spectacular. They'd sold out of their signature flavour unfortunately.
L. C.
best italian gelato I've tried outside Italy. besides classic flavours like chocolate, pistachio and vanilla, they serve very innovative and absolutely gorgeous ones. we tried basil and chili, honey and rosemary, and dark chocolate and chilli. all were great! the girl at the counter also knew how to serve it - nothing of that pre-ball-shaped spoon nonsense you find outside Italy, but proper free spooning that makes a huge difference in the creaminess of the gelato. loved it!
A. G.
Definitely the best ice creams in London!!
M. M.
A friend suggested this place after dinner and I was thrilled by the selection of gelato and had some basil & chilli which was sublime. As well as tasting my friends choices and they were all amazing. I have since been there at least once a month and all though the venue is small, and may seem a tad over priced. It's hand made, fresh, and well worth it.
R. E.
My favorite place in London to get ice cream. They have a super tasty and interesting selection (the pistachio is amazing). The staff is lovely and the place cozy.
V. M.
Very delicious gelato! Staff is nice and polite. I went there with my friend because she loves this place and she recommended it and said that i have to try it. It really worth it! I got also latté, which was served in glass and was tasty as well! I will definitelly visit this place again one day. Only one minus - No toilets here and not a lot of places to sit, better to take away. But still love it!
A. S.
Excellent selection of both traditional and unusual flavours including my favourite, chocolate and chilli. They also have a basil flavoured ice cream on their menu.
R. B.
Beat gelato I have ever had in London and I've lived here a long time and eaten alo6.of gelato!!
On top of that all of the staff are so so so friendly and it isn't like your typical gelato at. They will like you up with the stuff. Very very generous caring loving team. My favourite place to go no matter what mood I'm I'm!
Always there on my work breaks.
S. P.
Was really excited to visit here after just returning from Italy and having loads of gelato while I was there. This shop offers a wide range of really interesting and unique flavours such as spicy chocolate, basil, and a great peanut butter caramel and chocolate one (which was my favourite).
They definitely deliver on flavours and choices, and the shop itself is nice with a cosy seating area. Ask to try the flavours as well, the girl who served us was happy to help.
The one let down here is in the promise of the name. What I tried was not gelato, but what I would consider to be ice cream. It lacked the creaminess of gelato. I think this may have been mainly due to the temperature it was served at. This was frozen solid, and not creamy. Don't get me wrong though, as ice cream it was great, and I'll be returning (especially for a hot chocolate).
A. L.
This is the best ice cream in London right now, at least for my money. The best one is dark chocolate chilli flavour but the rest are not far behind. Amazing.
S. K.
Ice cream was average. Some innovative flavours and not too sweet but the taste is nothing compared to real Italian gelato.
J. M.
Amazing place-- ridiculously good icecreams and sorbets. £5 for three scoops, which is entirely reasonable given the location and the quality. The icecreams, even the more unusual ones (stilton and carmalised walnut, pear and cheddar, hackney ale sorbet) never feel gimmicky-- they are just genuinely good. The flavours work, they're not weird-for-the-sake-of-it, and they fill the icecream niche while still being new and different.
They have other flavours that are a little more within the usual range-- milk chocolate and cinnamon, honey, rosemary and orange zest, single-origin dark chocolate sorbet, etc Even these are just stupidly good. The pistachio icecream was intensely pistachio, the honey-rosemary-orange-zest was beautiful.
Also worth noting-- they had a couple things listed as vegan when I went. They change their range pretty often, but worth keeping in mind if you need something that's vegan-friendly.
G. C.
Very good, and proper, gelato.
A. M.
Cute hideaway in central London. The gelato here is excellent (with inventive tastes), the coffe is very good and the place is super cozy. In fact, it is so cozy, you have to be very lucky to find a seat. A BIG bonus are the long hours, it is open very late for London standards, it is one of the few places offering decent desserts to be open so late.
S. D.
They have vegan ice cream and not just sorbet too! I really missed eating pistachio ice cream when going vegan and I was so so happy to discover they sold vegan pistachio ice cream. So delicious too.
D.
Delicious gelato and served a generous portion. Server was rude however, asked some questions and just pointed their finger at the board. At the door the same server was lounging on the door with their friend, or owner, and asked if they're open and they just looked blankly at me and said "what". Would try again to see if this is a common problem.
A. J.
Wonderful team, very helpful. Satisfied my sweet tooth Shout Out To Mickey 🙌
N. B.
Second time of visiting today, a nice little place with nice Gelato, some very unusual flavours. Love the lemon sorbet, one of the best.
L. H.
Delicious ice cream! This is an authentic gorgeous gelato with a great selection of original flavours 😍I recommend the basil, honey with orange zest 👍👍👍
C. W.
Many great unique flavours like Basil and chili or Honey, rosemary and orange zest. They also do vegan flavours and vegan waffles. Lovely little place.
I. L.
Easily the best ice cream in London, and the coffee and brownies are great too. Flavours are unusual (Basil and Chilli, caramelised fennel and lemon, etc), but this isn't a gimmick: the taste and combinations are outstanding.
A. M.
Always wonderful gelato, in some creative flavours. My fave has to be the simple Fior di Latte- just magic and so refreshing, and the fresh mint ice cream. I normally really dislike mint ice cream/gelato, but this is a fior di latte (or similar) with fresh mint bits and dark chocolate all the way through. It's more like a mojito mint, and reminded me of Moroccan mint tea. Coffee is good and fairly strong. More tables than before, so not quite as much of a crush as it was, but not abundant as it's a small place. Only downside is that it gets a bit warm (although an upside in winter!)
d.
Great service lovely lady who served me, amazing hot chocolate, ice cream was very nice, I'd reccomend the strawberry and a scoop of peanut butter for sure
R. I.
Great ice cream, exciting flavours.
A. B.
Staff were so friendly and lovely. Quite small but cosy.
M. K.
Incredible banana flavoured ice cream, so rich, creamy and thoroughly filling! Recommend getting it in a cup though, as the flavour doesn't really go well with a cone which is what I got.
B. A.
One if the best ice cream places in London. Ice creams are made on site and there is a good selection of seasonal and less common flavours (e.g. basil, lemon+honey+rosemary) among with good variety of coffe, teas and hot chocolate. Bakery options do depend on the day you drop by. However you should go for the Icecream because it is the best.
J. F.
My favourite ice-cream in London. Long queue. Basil and chilli is a wonderful and unusual flavour, and is actually spicy. Not as spicy as the chocolate and chilli from Ruby Violet, but spicy enough.
Z. B.
This could be the best gelato outside Italy. Delicious chocolate sorbet - you wouldn’t even know it’s vegan and amazing pistachio, salted caramel and zabayone. Love!
T. H.
Just another nice spot for icecream
M. S.
Half melted when we got the gelato. The flavour was good of the 3 flavours we had, but definitely had better in London.
I. Y. H.
After dinner one night, we ended up La Gelatiera at 27 New Row. It stays open until about 11pm every night with the exception on Mondays when it closes so that was perfect. I tried the honey, rosemary and orange zest gelato which has been announced a winner according to the great taste award 2013. The flavours are quite interesting and it is a charming place to be if you are out late.
j. b.
Inventive flavours and quirky combinations scooped by attentive staff at this popular pint sized pit-stop. Expect to savour flavour on the hoof as seating is in short supply here.
Recommended; certainly worth a lick.
G. M.
I discovered La Gelatiera by chance, it is indeed very small and located in a tiny street.
Don't miss it, it is worth a visit (or several)!
There are many reasons why I love : the quirky interiors, the original flavours (black sesame, balsamic vinegar, saffron, blue cheese, just to name few!), the friendly staff and the convenient location (two minutes walk from Leicester Square).
They serve homemade Italian gelato, made with natural ingredients (absolutely no additives) in the kitchen below the shop. They also make a great Slow Food arabica espresso and serve different types of cakes and biscuits.
If you are in the mood for a treat, go for the Chocolate Tartufo - not cheap, but also incredibly tasty!
M. D.
Small icecream shop. Usual flavours
M. L.
Fantastic little late night gelateria, serving up award-winning, innovative flavours at a decent price, let down by somewhat surly service.
Our favourite was their perfectly smooth and soft honey, rosemary and orange zest gelato - but chocolate lovers will equally adore their dark chocolate sorbet. Peer through the glass floor into the kitchen below to see what flavours they're concocting next!
E. l. R.
Extremely good ice cream, not usually crowded and service is great. I highly recommend the peanut butter and chocolate ice cream, or anything with peanut butter from here. Their flavours are great!
N.
Nice ice creams. I had pistachio, white chocolate, salty caramel and cheesecake. They were are pretty good.
R. L.
Amazing! Visiting London for a few days and stumbled upon this place by accident. Had the hazelnut and pistachio and they were so good that I had to come back a couple of days later and try more flavours before I left the city.
E. R. M.
Excellent gelato in central london, they have some original flavours (chocolate chili) and all have the perfect creamy texture. They also have dairy free vegan ice creams!
G. S.
I am a regular customer. I could not recommend this place of wonders highly enough.
Since they opened I have introduced dozens of my friends to this little gem in the West End.
I am Italian and I grew up in an area where we pride ourselves on having a few of the best gelato shops (Gelaterie) in the whole Country. Well, *La Gelatiera* can - without any doubts - match their quality, if not exceeds it. This is genuine Italian gelato. No compromises.
Pistacchio (spelled with a double 'c' and pronounced 'pisˈtakkjo', PLEASE!) is most certainly the best one I have ever had.
I really hope they won't have to raise their prices due to increasing rent or other costs.
I only have to minor criticisms:
- I would like to see more traditional Italian flavours, although the fancy and unique original flavours they came up with are amazing! (please, try the Cornish Blue one. It is mouthwatering)
- Towards the end of the day their gelato can turn out to be a little 'frozen' or 'iced', most probably due to the lack of preservatives that other non-artisanal ice-creams contain. If you want to taste it at its best, try not to get there too late in the evening.
I would give this place 6 stars, if I could. Bravo, Antonio.
K. W.
Supremely good gelato. Vegan options are fantastic, rich, flavourful, smooth. Lotus biscuit and Dark chocolate were superb.
D. P.
Delicious gelato and great service. Not very much space inside but for summer, I would highly recommend getting a dessert here. The coffee here was also very good if you are able to get a table and looking for somewhere to spend a little more time.
D. W.
A cute little shop at the bottom of the quaint New Row is serving outstanding Gelato. Really inventive flavours, such as watercress, chilli and basil, and honey rosemary and orange. The taste is divine!!
N. V.
The best gelato ever. Sicilian Pistachio gelato with proper pistachios and Sicilian lemon of proper lemons. Maya let us try some before we decided. It was very kind of her. Thank you Maya
R. H.
Delicious ice cream and very polite, can recommend thoroughly
L. M.
It is a little gem where you can treat yourself to the best artisan gelato in London. The ingredients are sourced ethically with only the best being used for the gelato, cookies and coffees. Attention to details and a friendly atmosphere make you want to come again, every time I go to central London I treat myself with a new gelato flavour, in fact they are always creating something new and it is always a new delightful experience.
N. N.
Authentic gelato and interesting set of flavours!
S. R. A.
I adored the service as they help you discover their intriguing selection of ice cream
R. H.
Really nice ice cream with plenty of vegan options
M. P.
The basil and chilli icecream was amazing! Tastes offered on a range of wonderful taste combinations were readily given and accepted. Worth a visit if you're in the area and in need of icecream or coffee
A. H.
BEST GELATO IN LONDON. We discovered this place right after returning from Florence and the gelato here is better than anything we had there, as well as anywhere else in London. If I'm in the area, even if I'm full, I have to have one.
C. W.
Lick until the end, get dirty and like it.
There's no propper season for loving
and there's no right time for gelato either.
Give your taste buds some unique flavours to enjoy.
What's good: You can abuse on their gelato without worries, since it's 100% made of natural ingredients, and most important, low in fat (0% - 6%).
Also: They hold the Great Taste 2014 Award for some of their gelatos and sorbetes.
They have more than 90 favours, so there's no way you can't find yours.
I've been willing to try new ones and always end up getting the same two things.
What I like the most: Coconut & chocolate chips - coconut sorbet with dark chocolate chips.
Also: I'm obsessed with the ice coffee and I would drink this every day.
T. M. (.
Really nice! I went there for its vegan ice cream and they have gluten-free cones. Also, the assistant was brilliant
E. T.
Fantastic ice cream shop that offers classics but also twists on new flavours. Highly recommend the basil and chilli! Only downside is that it's on the smaller side!
B. L.
Very very delicious gelato, cannot resist whenever walk pass it.
:. m.
A very wide array of flavours and delicious ice-creams. Very busy though, however if you're ever nearby I highly recommended going.
P. F.
It's good, but have had better gelato. The service is friendly, but they could have done with two people serving (admittedly, it would be very cosy behind the counter!). The baby cones are a nice touch though.
C. L.
Insanely good Gelato. The Vegan flavours are actually nicer than some of the regular dairy based ones. Heaven for everyone and especially those with a dairy intolerance or who choose to be vegan.
P. B. (.
Very special ice flavors such as spicy chocolate, basil, rosemary, but also normal ones. They let you taste before having to commit to a choice ;)
L. R.
sexy vegan options, cute location, lovely staff love ittt
Y. H.
Nocciola (hazelnut) and Strawberry Cheesecake taste so good together 😍😍
E. m.
" Very good selection of ice cream, staff helpful, place looks clean and appealing. Nice crowd not too loud.
I'd suggest you ask for recommendations if you are not familiar with their food as some dishes may come too spicy."
E. G.
Wonderful gelato!! Best pistachio I've ever had. And they offer several delicious vegan options including waffle cones!
G. B.
Great little hole in the wall. Found it on Google maps and knew it must be good when we arrived to find a line out the door. Good selection, gluten free options, including a cone. Good stuff.
M. k.
Amazing ice cream , and service . I really enjoyed the flavours I had, and also the coffee. I do recommend it to everyone . And it’s my fav ice cream shop
L. A.
This place is so busy. I just had a hot chocolate, my friends had an Oreo hot chocolate which was divine. The gelato looks amazing but we didn't try
E. M.
The ice cream here is so delicious it's worth a trip to London with the sole purpose of partaking of the tasty delicacies on offer! Really really good. Thank you.
s. m.
They passed the Pistacchio test flying colours!
Pistacchio di one of hardest flavour to get right. This is the first place in London I can say they know what they are doing.
Also, the more unconventional flavour (honey rosemary and orange zest!) are great without trying to hard.
C.
Favourite gelato place in London. Had the stracciatella and honey rosemary flavour and it was amazingly refreshing on a warm summer's day.
A. “. S.
Amazing quality and great taste. Only problem is the venue is quite small and so cooling down the shop is difficult on hot days. I have a plan though, just need to go there everytime im near leicester square until thry can afford a bigger shop! Enjoy best ice cream around
F. B.
I'm Italian and the place is really cozy and the staff is real professional and kind.
The combo with basil and chilli, dark chocolate and chill is.... delicious 💓
Best place in London where to spend a pleasant time after work 🍦🍦🍦
T. O.
Authentic gelato italiano - fatto con amore. Great range of vegan ice creams too. Always worth popping in even on a rainy day
Y. S.
You never gonna forget about their absolute gorgeous pistachio gelato once you have eaten! I like to have that with their dark chocolate gelato together. Highly recommend!
S. K.
Excellent ice cream, dark chocolate & pistachio are good choices. Very small & very popular so patience is essential as you will have to wait.
J. P.
Very nice gelato menu with some out of the ordinary flavours. I've been there 6 or 7 times tying new flavours and I recommend a visit.
L. B.
Best ice-cream in London, no question! Never had a bad experience there, always worth trying everything before you choose - but expect a tough decision.
S. A.
Great ice cream, and a nice place to take a break.
S. M.
Great homemade ice-creams. Ive been going there for years. I love their out of the bix flavours too.
E. S.
I love this place! Great selection of dairy free gelato which tastes just like the Gelato I have in Italy. There's always a queue.
C. K.
The ice cream was sooo delicious and the staff were lovely but oh my goodness the SLOWEST service I've ever had in London. Took about 30 mins to get an ice cream - it was painfully slow!
M. D.
I stumbled across this ice cream shop by accident and regularly went back over the summer. It's easily the best ice cream in London with thick gelato textures and delicious flavors.
K. S.
High quality Italian coffee & gelato and a great place to meet friends.
You must try the chilly flavor before all the other amazing options
L. A.
Super tasty ice cream. Tried to find something origin close to leceister square and we found this little shop. Loved the chocolate taste.
D. K.
Incredible ice cream flavours. Don't miss basil & chilli or dark chocolate & chilli. Also fruits like orange or passion fruit are brilliant.
L. G.
Delicious gelato and open late night (ideal for a post theatre snack). Friendly staff too. Only downside is that it's very small (two tables really) and they've no bathroom.
M. T.
Delicious ice-cream. Their salted caramel was one of the best I've had and the waffle cone did not disappoint either.
V. K.
My favourite ice cream place in London. Many award winning and some experimental flavours.
a. h.
Delicious ice cream, they even have vegan varieties! Even though there was a line of customers when we arrived the wait was short - and definitely worth it!!!
I. K.
Best Ice cream in London, some flavours are a little strange on approach (try them anyway for a pleasent surprise). All staff are very helpfull and informative.
G. M.
Lovely gelato! I had the peanut butter one which was lovely. I ordered two scoops and couldn't finish, they were giant scoops!
E. B.
Best Gelato in London.
I have tried Gelupo, Grom and Snowflake.
They are nice but believe me, not as good as La Gelatiera.
A. B.
Had a great little waffle and one scoop of ice cream! Completely filled me up and was delicious, definitely go if you get the chance!
C. M.
Absolutely a must when visiting London!!!! The place is very accessible, near Trafalgar square. The staff are always polite and very helpful and the ice cream is to die for 🤩😊
S. N.
Great gelati! The kid enjoyed the Alphonso mango, I went for the more creative flavours. Thanks for the kind response to my query about the sign.
B. P.
authentic italian icecream sold by italian natives!
very tasty flavors but also for a price on the upper limit.
close to leister square tube
D. S.
Best ice cream in London. Cosy and service with a smile.
c. y.
Amazing!! Really interesting flavours and actually surprisingly really nice if you build up the courage to try them. My favourite was the honey, rosemary & orange zest ice cream
M. a. s.
Quality gelato and exceptional customer service
E. R.
What a yummy ice cream! The flavours seem to come out of our dreams... Won't find them anywhere else!
m. k.
Good service and very tasty ice creams. Staff was very nice with their services and suggestions.
When will be in the area again definitely will visit that place.
A. L.
Best ice-cream ever in London. Excellent service. Nice and small. So you might not have a table.
P. D.
Really nice ice creams here. Small space but serves delicious ice creams. Loved milk chocolate flavour here.
A. M.
They have the best and most unique flavours that are all amazing! My fav gelato place in London!
F. C.
Walking in Maltby street, I came across the La Gelateria stall. After tryi ng a couple of samples, I was sold. I tried the salted caramel version and it was easily one of the best I've had.It had a nice creamy texture with that great combination of caramel and salt.
I will visit their covent garden branch next
B. A.
Keep coming back to this every time I visit London. Always some exiting flavours to offer, that may not sound like it should work in an ice cream, but they do!
V.
We went here after a few drinks at Mr Foggs. Went for the Baileys ice cream and also a waffle. Waffle was a little bit overdone but the Baileys ice cream made up for it.
M. A.
Original gelati flavours. I tried chocolate sorbet with chili , and honey gelato with rosmary and orange zests. Very good flavour especially the chocolat sorbet which is very spicy. But the gelati melted very quickly in particular the sorbet.
Z. M.
One of, if not the best ice cream I've ever had. Flavours are amazing and staff are great!
M. A.
SO many dairy free / vegan choices!! My favourite spot for sorbets. Hands down best gelato in london
S. Z.
Super delicious ice cream 😍😍😍😍🍧 (like the real Italian one!) and and very friendly and welcoming staff 😊😊
P. M.
Very good raspberry sorbet. The ice cream was tasty but sadly not rich enough, you only got a hint of the flavor.
T. P. F.
Rustic and authentic Italian cafe bar feel to the place. Small and intimate. Friendly service. Solid wood seating little uncomfortable.
M. H.
So many amazing flavors of high end ice cream. I keep going back. And I keep getting fatter. But no matter I just love it.
I. T.
My favorite ice cream shop in London. If you are looking for quirky flavour and quality gelato, you must come here!
R. S.
Great little place for a coffee, cake or ice cream. It's very small so no guarantee you will get a table. The staff are friendly. Nice place to go after a dinner or movie.
S. D.
Good ice cream for takeaway. Slightly unusual flavours. Single scoop a bit overpriced (3 quid), but getting more reasonable if you take more.
D. S.
Amazing gelato and great coffee. Tiny place, seats a dozen max. Worth a visit if you're around Covent Garden or Leicester Square.
A.
Really nice little ice cream shop with really delicious creamy ice cream and great staff. Would recommend trying the chocolate and chili ice cream if they have it available.
T. V.
Fresh gelato, proper Italian style as it should be. You taste the fresh ingredients instantly. Packed with flavour!
G.
Great ice cream but everything is gluten free. Nowadays it just seems everything has to be gluten free or it shouldn't be on sale. First world problems
J. T.
Gelato-Hunting: One of my favourite things to do in Covent Garden and Soho is to go gelato hunting. London is packed with award-winning gelateria, and the La Gelateria is one of its finest. Grab it early before it runs out at the end of a hot summer’s day.
I. W.
Wide selection of flavours, high quality product, and friendly service. This is a popular little gelateria and it's clear to see why. Highly recommended.
T. B.
I never knew what Gelato was supposed to taste like till I had theirs on recommendation from some friends. It was so worth it!!
R. B. (.
Interesting and tasty gelato flavours. I reccomend to try the salted caramel and the pear gelato, they are my favorites :)
A. H.
Chili chocolate was great, however, almost half flavors unavailable .... service friendly, however, needed another hand to assist with large queue down the street.
I. P.
Great gelato, traditional and also some special flavours. Very tasty and very friendly staff
F. S.
My favourite place for vegan ice cream! Especially the pistachio and dark chocolate with chilli
J. T.
Flavors were awesome! I got a large cup with chili/basil, pistachio, berry mix and white peach. Wish i had more.
章.
My favorite gelato shop in London. Although the shop itself is pretty small, the gelato and coffee here are in high standard.
C. P.
Had basil and chilli with honey orange zest and rosemary - it was amazing. Also had other flavours here before, always great.
P. C.
Quite easily one of the best gelato in town, especially for those who want an adventure in New flavours!
I. M.
I don't think you can compare to the proper Italian ice-cream I am afraid. I could taste little pieces of ice inside and the cone was not great
L. L. D.
Nice range of flavours! Got a very generous single scoop, so no complaints!
K. G.
