Reviews of Oblix
J. R.
The views and ambiance are incredible. It was a lovely way to spend the 1st of January. The service was great and the starter and dessert were amazing. The main courses let the menu down a little, the burger was nice but chicken very oily. Prawn cocktail was the best I've had.
I booked a window seat but felt the views were limited when sitting eating, the table seemed a little closed off from the rest of the restaurant, good for privacy but a large pillar blocked some views. Overall it was a great experience, I'd definitely go back for drinks.
M. H.
The overall experience was exceptional. As the food is not halal, we had to stick to fish and vegetarian options, which there were a good variety of. Every dish was perfect with no complaints. We were never presented with a non alcoholic drinks menu and therefore had to assume or ask the waiter but it would be much better if we could see what was available ourselves. The ambience provided the perfect mood with the restaurant design and London skyline views. The ambience gets 4 stars as I wish it was slightly brighter with lighting. Took pictures to remember my anniversary meal but they were too dark!!! The prices were not extortionate for the service and exquisite food available at the Oblix.

We had brunch for my wife’s birthday. It was Pretty expensive, but what do you want, you pay for what you get. Top notch service, I liked the starter the main course was average though. Amazing view.
F. M.
We ordered from the "easy" menu which was 3 courses and a bottle of wine (between 2) for £58 per person. We paid the extra £10 to have prosecco instead. The food was really nice and we enjoyed it. We ordered the "born a star" cocktail and the presentation of it was amazing but the cocktail itself really wasn't anything special and it was overpriced in my opinion. The service was a little slow at first but once we ordered it did pick up a bit.

We had dinner in the east wing. The food quality was acceptable, apart from the bread they was defrosted and chewy.
The staff was very kind to redo a course that was too spicy. There was a DJ playing, but the music was too loud for a dining restaurant, so it was difficult to speak with table companions.
The view is not breathtaking since it’s “only” at the 32nd floor. The price was OK for the experience.
I suggest it if you want to celebrate something and enjoy a view, otherwise go somewhere else.

Amazing view in the west wing. Had delicious lunch:
Starters
-Burrata
-Crab Cake
-Crispy Squid
Mains
-Lobster Linguine
-Oblix signature steak
Dessert
Chocolate tart, cheesecake, mango sorbet, bourbon ice cream and 2 macarons

Oblix west champagne brunch. We had a great time. The waiter who served us was fantastic! Enjoyed the food and drink so much so that we are going back for a friend's birthday in a few weeks.

If I could give 4.5 I would. Food, staff and setting we're all excellent. The view is obviously amazing, especially for sunset. A little cheeky you have to pay extra for the window seats. That said, knocking down a star due to expense, it was £150 per person for our visit, and despite the vast wall of wines most of my options appeared to be out of stock (the ones at cheaper end of the spectrum too surprise surprise).

Booked a table at the window for my partner's birthday meal, the whole time we were here we could not fault The Oblix. Very attentive staff who explained everything clearly and answered any questions we had, gave good recommendations. The meal we had was outstanding, regret ordering extra sides as couldn't manage dessert unfortunately, but even so my partner was brought over a little birthday bonus.

We went there for our anniversary. It has such stunning views which you can see everywhere in the restaurant. The decor is also very luxurious and makes the stay special ( even the bathrooms!)
The food is quite reasonable considering that they give 1 bottle of wine and 3 courses.
I loved burrata and tuna for appetizers, and they also served us a dessert with a sweet comment for our anniversary. ❤️
S. P.
Go for the view from the top, and cross fingers to get a table by the glass edge. The view is beautiful, especially in the night or on a sunny day. The food is ok and priced as expensively as the other restaurants in the building. The service is fine
A. B.
Lovely dinner at Oblix. The staff is really professional. They give you nice recommendations and are super friendly. We enjoyed every single cocktail that we tried, the sea food plater was an absolute delight, the steak was perfectly done.
After our meal they told us they needed the table back (which is normal for that kind of venue), but we could move to the bar on the other side and guess what a Dj was there playing some of my favorite tune!!
I honestly had one of my best night in London thank you again.
Z. V.
We had a brilliant night at Oblix. The service, ambience, food and drinks were simply impeccable. We had a lovely bartender who lifted our spirits and recommended some of the best cocktails we've tried.
Can't wait to visit again.
A.
Came here for my birthday and they were so nice and accommodating. They were extra careful and vigilant especially regarding my allergies. Really enjoyed everything especially the crab cake!
E.
Came here for my friend’s birthday & the food + service was out of this world. The staff is really nice. Can’t remember the name of the Starters we had but I had the Spicy Seafood Pasta I believe as my main with the creamiest Mash Potato & New York Style Cheesecake as dessert.
Φ. Τ.
Great view, the best time to visit is when the sun goes down. The service was kind and friendly.
The food was tasty, although I think that £13 are a lot for a glass of wine, at the time that some of their cocktails cost £14
A. V.
Lovely restaurant with a great view. Tasting menu was very satisfying with loads of food. Drinks menu had unique cocktails which I enjoyed. Wait staff was alright but the assistant manager Taylor was exceptional.
T. R.
One of those places you just have to visit. 15 seconds and you are on the 32 floor. The views of London are exquisite and breathe takings. Decor is really modern and unusual in a good way.
The bar area looks really inviting with lots of seating and comfortable sofas. The restaurant is amazing. Cocktails, food, service from the staff 5 stars!! I would definitely recommend to all. Remember to dress up (smart casual) if you go.
M.
Very good atmosphere, amazing view, Delicious food, great service and Thank you Lloyd for taking care of us.I highly recommend this place!!!
J. M.
Favorite place of mine. The view is the best and has a good variety in its menu. The service is great especially at the door. the management might want to consider letting waiters know to give clients time and space to enjoy their meals. But overall unbeatable amongst all shard restaurants.
J. R.
Had a lovely afternoon tea here yesterday. Staff were amazing especially Roberto who was an impeccable server. Highly recommend.
D. F.
Great view! Great food!
I love the starter especially the mayonnaise sauce with lemon.
C. A.
So my partner took me here for my birthday.
First thing is if you get here via the underground, pretty much finding the entrance is a little trick but it's pretty much above the station so head to the national rail station and then look for the place on the grey pillars you should see them.
The view is just amazing, definitely would reccomend you pre book this in advance and if you are having a birthday party then speak to the staff. I can say they are flexible and will make sure you have an awesome time.
The room is dark but it's mean to be that way so you can enjoy the skyline. Definitely expect lots of flashes and stuff as people take pictures.
The food is well thought gastropub style food but with additional elegance.
I got the crispy shrimp along with a wayggu steak burger. Sooooooooo good.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone foe a romantic birthday or just a special date occasion.
Thank you to all the staff and the place made me feel really special. I had lots of fun.
F. K.
Fantastic variety on the menu, so you are likely to find something that tickles your fancy! Taste and presentation of food was excellent. Ambience and atmosphere was very warm and intimate making it very special. Staff are also very helpful and friendly and always on hand to take pictures for you!
N.
Really nice place! I love the view, food and cocktails! The afternoon tea is great option to choose.
Such a nice place to hangout with friends or for a date.
J. P.
Updated: Customer Service called me to address concerns, increased from 3 to 4.
Good afternoon tea offer with great view and overall service. But, two small things annoyed me. I would let these slide normally, but Oblix isn't cheap so it costs them 2 stars in this case!
1) The afternoon tea menu has fixed pricing of 3 options (no alcohol, wine or champagne) and all list bottomless tea & soft drinks, but it charges for water! The staff doesn't notify you of the charge. I'm spending hundreds of £ , seems petty and a bit offensive to top off with a water charge on top!
Update: shouldn’t have happened/should’ve been told.
2) Bathrooms smelled awful, stale smell of urine that I'm sure can be remedied. Smelt worse than a communal football changing room!
Update: Resolved

Oblix west. Absolutely fantastic tasting menu. Food was perfect. Service was perfect. Reasonable prices. Amazing views.
A. S.
Fantastic view in Oblix East & good food, but be careful, as l booked online with a set menu price, including half a bottle of prosecco, white or red wine per person and when the bill came, an additional amount was added for the prosecco. A service charge of 13.5% was added as well and said l would only pay 10%.
I asked to see the manager as the online price differed to a menu given to us and l was only asked what drinks we wanted and food. I told the manager that I expected to pay the price l saw online. There was a discussion and l said that l was only going to pay £10.00 pp and was in my rights to do so. I also said l could may whatever l felt was right as a service charge.
In summary.- amazing views, great food, good service, but some sneaky ways to inflate the price... l would still go back, but would challenge the price as it changed on the night and it's up to you to pay for the service charge you feel is right. SNEAKY!!
A. I.
The views were amazing , the cocktails delicious especially the bloody Mary’s . The food was also great however was very disappointed that the starters on offer only 2 out of the 10 choices were gluten free ie the salad and the burata cheese. As a package deal this really doesn’t cater for GF or Vegan dietary requirements. This is so easy to solve so hopefully my next visit I can enjoy some scallops or crab cakes as it’s not difficult to serve them GF
D. M.
The food service everything was A star A class never ever in my whole entire life have I been to a restaurant in London and the service is beyond 10 stars to these wonderful well trained at their jobs people. Lovely experience and view
A. C. F.
OK food 🍲 very slow main course order View is great and service was excellent once in a lifetime experience. Night visit is recommended, have to visit again in the day
R. V.
The vibe was good, the decorations were nice and the views were stunning. The bar staff were polite and going as quick as they could to serve the customers I did think the venue was smaller than I expected.
It was unfortunate that the fire alarm went off before new year countdown and it took 3 hours until we were allowed back in. Otherwise, this would have been a brilliant experience and night.
F. B.
Amazing experience.
Amazing view.
Food price incorporates the location as well.
If you are looking for just food experience you may be disappointed.
E. E.
We had the rose brunch. The food was very good and there was plenty of it. The bottomless cocktail menu was quite limited and the drinks weren't that tasty. Nice view and the restaurant had a good atmosphere.
D. P.
What an amazing experience! Simone was amazing with his service and friendliness! Definitely would come back just because of him! Thanks Simone for making our dinner so lovely and enjoyable!
K. R.
A really good place to have a good time. Even though our order was not big and we just went there for some drinks. Their birthday gesture and the ambience really made our day.
Cheers Guys! Thanks for hosting us.

Lovely afternoon tea great atmosphere a d great service

A must-go in London for a lovely time at the Shard. Unfortunately for vegetarians, there aren’t a lot of options for mains, I literally ate a plate full of boiled broccolini which is a letdown. However, the service and appetisers made up for it.
One of the servers saw that it was my companion’s birthday while checking our IDs and brought us a surprise dessert without us requesting it which was very thoughtful. Breathtaking view and a great opportunity to take pictures.
If everything else hadn’t made me so happy, the broccoli would definitely have earned you a 1 star.
E. W.
My partner brought me here for the last night of our long weekend in London... all I can say is OMG the food was amazing we started with salmon which was beautiful not to heavy and really nice for mains we had the porterhouse steak to share was perfect melted in your mouth... the cocktails were better in East side there white chocolate pina colada’s were amazing 😍 and came in these amazing but heavy glasses. Over all was an amazing evening my partner proposed and the staff were brilliant with him I can honestly say it’s not somewhere we’d go every day BUT for a treat I 💯 recommend it the views are breathtaking and worth the £5 pp prebooking charge.
T. R.
Well just going up the Shard is an experience on its own. Can't separate that from the overall Oblix experience.
I prefer Oblix East where the vibe is much more intense. West is a different thing, not so much to my liking but if you prefer quiet dinners go for it.
PS: lots of "singe and available" ladies around if you know what I mean, I'd prefer if they kept the place more classy somehow.
L. T.
Celebrated a 10 year company anniversary and the food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING for all the vegans. They cater to us vegans very well. We had appetizers mains and desserts to eat with so much left over. The food tasted amazing. For the meat eater all the meats were raw so many people couldn't enjoy and I'm not sure if you could ask for it well done. The views is stunning and the staff was very helpful
A. J.
Magnificent view of the city and a really delicious cocktails. Will be booking for my birthday celebration next year.
Update: had the tasting menu for our group. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. We'll worth a visit.
A. S.
It was my birthday and we had a very nice and kind waiter (Juan) he was really lovely. The service was just tremendous! I didn’t think my birthday was going to be as good as this but Juan made it all happen and put a grin on my face! The food was really good too. For a first time experience it was a 10/10 for me! Really really loved it.
F. D.
Had a lovely dinner and the meal was so tasty. Food cooked to perfection and offering fantastic views too. Would definitely recommend it.
A. S.
Lovely nice place to have your cocktail. Nice atmosphere with Italian waiters. Stunning view of London and river.
M. A.
London view from Oblix Resturant was amazing😍
Delicious Food, Burrata salad and Black cod 10/10
Great service and friendly staff👍🏻
Highly recommended!
K. L.
The Oblix Restaurant is located on the 32nd floor pf the Shard. The view is spectacular and the food is great. If you want a window seat then you may need to book ahead.
H. S.
Absolutely loved it! Had the brunch there and it was so yummy! Being a Muslim I had to ask them if anything had alcohol and they so kindly guided me about all the available options for me. Thank you for a lovely evening!
T. K. Z.
Visited Oblix West and had the wagyu burger, truffle chips, hassleback potato and lobster. All the food was lovely, slightly on the pricey side but you also pay for the beautiful views of London. The staff were also very attentive and polite.
1.
Greate place ,superb FOOD , tasty cocktails
R. S.
It’s a pricey place with a Gorgeous view. Food was okayish, chips were too salty and spinach was bland but the picturesque view compensates the taste. The banana toffee dessert was divine.
A.
I celebrated my A-level results with my parents there. The view of the restaurant was breath-taking and the food was very delicious. However the music was quite loud and did not go well with the atmosphere of the restaurant. It felt a little claustrophobic too as it was super busy around 10 pm at night when we were there. But we were all very happy with the customer service and the food and drinks. It was a memorable night and worth it for sure.
J. S.
Amazing views. Very friendly staff and casual atmosphere. It is nice to take pictures from the different windows (too many reflexes though to take really nice pictures). Very straight forward menu with three courses and wine. Good cocktails with dramatic presentation. We ate a nice burrata, tasty wagyu burger and cheesecake. Overall very nice night out
R.
Great food. Excellent service and the best view ever.

I came here to take my fiancée for a surprise dinner to celebrate the engagement and the whole experience was just exceptional. I spoke with the Events Manager (Sara) who helped me plan this evening and was able to enhance my experience further.
They put my seat by the window and was able to provide everything I asked for. The service was just absolutely amazing! The food was very delicious and the atmosphere and the view was out of this world. Would definitely be coming back. Thank you for everything!!!!!
D. A.
As a food lover, I’m always anticipating big flavours. Oblix didn’t quite meet that expectation, however that does not mean the food wasn’t nice. In fact the food was pretty good, but the “Oblix experience” made up for what may have been missing in my eyes. The food took as long as you’d expect in a restaurant of fine dining. Everything was hot - and stayed hot, which many restaurants fail to do. The cocktail was delicious and the service was impeccable. I was served by a young man called Taylor, who made sure we were happy with everything, and he definitely made the whole restaurant experience feel very personal. I had just gotten engaged so when Taylor asked if we were celebrating anything, as we were well dressed, he said some very kind, but professional words and brought out some complimentary ice cream, with congratulations written on the plate in chocolate.
I was seated in a booth, which felt very comfortable and intimate, but then we were allowed to move to a window table, which made the whole experience that much better.
I would definitely come again!

Yesterday Night it was my girlfriends Birthday so we decided to visit the Oblix at the Shard.
Never been before and i must say Aaron was amazing, great energy and smile, you can feel the good ambience and vibe when being approached, Aaron couldn’t take our order was served by a female waitress but there after Aaron and A rather tall gentleman and Headwaiter attended our tables.
Very professional team, cool guys, great energy amongs themselves, great to see customers happy and no bad vibes.
Aaron saved the night for us and most at oblix, i accidentally set my table on fire due to tissue making contact with the candle, i never realised and saw it was literally in front of me however Aaron saw immediately and put out the fire if it wasnt for him it couldve ruined a lot of peoples night!! So hats off to you bro saved our night and everyones, food was great as well as service, not too keen on raw fish but good experience and amazing medium steak cooked perfectly.
I will be back and i look forward to being served by Aaron again
J. S.
Quite a disappointing experience. Our orders were extremely delayed (which they acknowledged and to their credit, offered us a bottle of prosecco) but we're not big drinkers so offering to take some money off the bill would have been better. Food itself was really good when it did arrive and the ambience was lovely.
It was also a bit frustrating that the window seat process wasn't clear as we didn't know that it will not show any window seat options when it's fully booked. We probably wouldn't have come here if we knew that all the window seats were booked.
T. L.
We started our night with an extreme noise and crowd in the restaurant, which no one seems to not bothered by the uncomfortable acoustics. We were a little frustrated and planning to leave. Lucky enough to get a lady who was able to help us to change to a table by the window with less noise. Though the food was a little pricy, but they were very delicious and fresh. We had full course meals and non of them disappoint us. My parents were delighted with the overall experience. The restaurant allows you to walk through the other side to Oblix East for bar and snacks. Friendly and well trained staff, and cloakroom service is available for guests. This place is only allow for guests who has booking. Highly suggested to go just before sunset, it was really great to enjoy the view in both and night.
J. C.
The food was okay, nothing amazing. The fish my partner didn't really like however the view is stunning. The staff was very friendly and attentive.
R. C.
The best views of Central London. The place is must go to for amazing food. This is a very nice place to relax, enjoy a beautiful meal and a drink. Staff is friendly and welcoming. It can get crowded at times but that’s credit to the location and the service provided. Highly recommended
A. '. K.
Celebrated anniversary with my wife here and enjoyed every second of it! Staff is very attentive, friendly and professional. We booked at Oblix West and had an excellent view on the city. The view is simply amazing. Food is delicious! Highly recommended if you want to celebrate a special evening.
m.
To think that we were going into a 310 meter tower to eat dinner was amazing. We booked a month in advance. We didn't get a window seat. The place was quite noisy. We ordered the fried octopus as a starter, which was quite small. We ordered seafood pasta, sea bass and a whole lobster. As desert we got vanilla ice cream and espresso. The pasta was alright, sea bass was a bit bland and the whole lobster wasn't that big and not worth it. The ice cream was great. The bill was 200£, it was even more expensive than when we ate at one of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants. For example for the price of one whole lobster, I could go on a flight to Italy and get a lobster for cheaper than in this restaurant. The service charge was not that bad. The service was pretty good. The view from 1/3 up the shard was breathtaking. It was not worth the high price.
H. N.
Just as you'd expect from a restaurant of this calibre. Wonderful service and attention to detail. My only criticism is that they were slightly stingy with the pasta serving and we had to be rushed out due to the 10pm covid curfew (not the restaurant's fault obviously)
J. V.
The views are really amazing from the restaurant. You can choose from Oblix West or Oblix East, the east side is more casual. I'd recommend booking, especially on the weekends as they might not let you up without one. Also make sure you aren't dressed too casually (no sneakers). We had a few starters and the lobster as the main. Flavours were okay but weren't amazing. The starters were tasty (seared beef, king prawns, beef tartare). Worth it if you are after a meal and a view!
O. O.
Hands down the best views of London. Nice but pricey food. very helpful staff. Great ambiance. I would return, for special occasions only( do to the price)
P. R.
Nice place. Great food. Lovely view. We found the view was even nicer at night time when London’s lights come on. I had the lobster linguine to start and the duck for my main. We also had very good quality desserts. It was a very memorable experience and worth the expense..
D. O.
Place with the best view in the city and stylish, modern decor. I've been lucky enough to have great live music on my visit, which was definitely the highlight of the visit! Quite average and overpriced menu.
A. C.
Oblix had splendid views of the Shard which is a great substitute to the shard viewing platform. The drinks and food here were extremely pricey but they have extremely high demand due to the attraction that the shard is. Reserve a table in advance if you want to have a meal or you are a big party but if you are a small party just going for the views, I would recommend just getting a seat at the bar. This is definitely a one time experience or one to celebrate an occasion or for a fancy date!
F. W.
Excellent service and great views of London, the food was awesome even though my starter cost more than my main dish. Great experience.
L. M.
Great experience. All the food and drinks were lovely, slightly on the pricey side but you also pay for the beautiful views of London. The staff were also very attentive and polite.
D. S.
We have dined here before and it was our good friends birthday, so decided to return and we were sat at a window table much to the delight of our guests. The service was exceptional, William was fantastic greeting our birthday guest and making the whole experience personal and happy. The wagyu steak was to die for and the sweet platter with birthday wishes written was the topping of the meal. So many thanks guys for your hospitality once again
L. H.
The West part was better in terms of the view. We ordered sirloin steak, lamb chops and ceaser salad also some wines and cocktails. The steak and lamb chops were amazing, but salad was a little too salty. Service was great and kind!
J. T.
A lovely view over London, with a good range of food and a nice atmosphere. However it was quite rushed (eg our waitress seemed to be pushing us to choose our desert before we'd had much chance to read the menu), which rather puts one on edge - not ideal if you're spending a couple hundred pounds
J. s.
Had a very enjoyable experience here. The restaurant really is an amazing place and the views across east London and the Thames are incredible from here. We had a nice table next to the window and the service was quick and very efficient and the staff were very friendly and helpful, from being greeted at street level to being seated. There is a nice relaxed atmosphere here.
The Drinks though are massively overpriced so most people like us chose to drink tap water or else your bill can very easily double. The food is average and nothing special however the whole experience is worth the inflated prices for a special treat or occasion, I would recommend.
J. M.
I’ve been to every restaurant and bar in the shard and I can honestly say Oblix West was the best out of all of them. I want to start off by saying Simona was an amazing host and thank you for making my experience special. Food and drinks were great... views at night would be beautiful and very romantic. Would Definitely recommend Oblix West. Thank you
J. N.
Arrived at the Shard with my girlfriend for her birthday meal. We had the Signature Tasting menu. Which is £70 a head and you get given an array of dishes to share. The starter and the fish came out very fast. But the main steak and lamb dish did take about 30/45 mins to arrive hence why i didn't give it five stars. Thats not to say the food wasn't up to standard it was perfect. My girlfriend doesn't like cheesecake as this was to be served for dessert. The waiter bought out an array of little desserts. with happy birthday written in chocolate sauce. Which was a really nice touch.
B. K.
To be honest, we were initially told we cannot get a birthday candle without buying a dessert so we said okay that’s fine we’ll leave it as the dessert menu didn’t have anything we particularly fancied at that point but randomly just before we got up to leave we got a candle and small bowl of ice cream just like we’d seen other people get. Also, I asked to take my steak home as we had not finished it, the server looked at me like I was asking something weird but I worked hard to get the money to pay for this dinner so I’d like to take my leftovers home, also hate waste. anyway when I got home, the bone with half of the meat on it was nowhere to be found. So I’d paid for a steak that I wasn’t able to take home for what reason? I expected a lot more from the shard, also the toilets were revolting, I definitely did not expect to see it at the state it was at. Also the lobster was really not good, I had to eat it because I ordered it but it wasn’t nice tasting and I love lobster. I think next time I need to look more at reviews that aren’t paid for. Sorry for the review but You asked and I had to be honest
J. E.
We ate here to celebrate getting engaged and it did not disappoint. We had the chefs tasting menu which was fantastic value for money. They even managed to find us a table next to the window to enjoy the amazing view. Amazing place
C. P.
Nice dinner for two celebrating our anniversary. Attentive and professional staff, good food, stylish ambience, magical view. A great thank you too Sara that has arranged a special night for us.
A. B.
This restaurant is fantastic. The food is amazing, and I liked absolutely everything I tasted. But holy cow was it expensive. We're talking £80 per person to start with. Anything extra is on top of that. The view is nice...if you get a table by the window (we didn't, so we only got to see it as we were walking by). But nice restaurant, nice food. 5 stars if it was even somewhat more reasonable from a price perspective.
I had the grilled diver scallops for a starter, which were delicious and so tender (I'd never had scallops before and am not a big fan of a lot of seafood, but these were done right), then the duck & mango chutney. So good. We also had a dessert platter to share, and those were likewise delicious.
M. J.
I decided to get engaged in Oblix Bar at the end of the evening. I tell you folks that I could not choose a better location.
My contact at the bar was Emilia. I was a bit stressed but she made this so smooth for me I couldn’t believe it. Emilia is such a lovely girl, gave me some additional ideas and helped during the evening. She even offered to record the moment I proposed. The cocktails are amazing and arrived at the table quickly. The rest of the staff was smiling, very professional and friendly. The view from the bar is just breath taking.
Emilia if you are reading this thank you again for making this night so special for us!
M. K.
What a great location for that special moment. Everything looked and tasted absolutely delicious. And with the pleasure for the palate, comes a treat for the eyes as well. What a great view over all of London. I can just say that this was an all-satisfying lunch. 👌🏼😉
K. X.
Really good quality of food for a place that can easily win customers merely by the amazing view it offers of the city! Not too expensive all things considered. The suckling pig is so delicious (a little bit fatty sometimes but I still keep ordering it because it’s amazing).
G. D.
Lovely food and lovely views!
Handled request for wife's bday well.
Good service by our waiter.
Tip. If going on a weekday for lunch arrive a bit early around noon to get your choice of tables!

The VIEW.
😍
The staff are fantastic.
The meat curing glass fronted refrigerator is a thing of sheer beauty.
Can get extremely busy but the atmosphere can be electric.
The decor and upkeep are all first class; as are the toilets (you can always tell the quality of a bar or restaurant by the staff and condition of the toilets!).
The food was very very good..but not exceptional.
If you love Steak you'll be in heaven.
Prices are fairly high.
All in all if you can get a table with a view it is a fantastic place to dine on a special occasion.

Amazing experience and one of the best places to celebrate special occasions. We were welcomed by a Tall Handsome Fellow (Staff Member). Staff is very proactive and the bloke serving us instantly told us the meat is not Halal, so we should be aware before ordering it. He also took great pictures of us 😃 Ambience and the view is absolutely stunning. I highly recommend this place to all.
H. M.
Lovely lunch and experienced the elevator menu which was yummy. We went for the full courses which I didnt think would be filling but was.
Not entirely convinced by the "sharing concept" - food coming at as its served is okay but didnt feel like it was the full sharing experience they said it would be.
Food was yum. Staff were ace. Would go again.

This review is specifically for the bar experience as I did not eat during my visit, however, it would really hard to rate Oblix anything less than 4 stars. Yes the service is just OK and the drinks are a bit pricey, but considering that you get a free 32nd-floor view of London, it makes the price point more than fair. It's a very open space that's modern and clean with floor to ceiling windows, which ensures a good view from almost every seat in the house. The ambient music was at a level that didn't distract from conversation, and the bathrooms were exceptional. It's definitely a spot I'll bring friends and family to visit as it satisfies the "Shard View Experience" (including a drink), for less money.
I hope readers will find my review and photos helpful.

We wanted to come up for a quick coffee and leave to go do more stuff and this place hit the spot. I had a lovely coffee with a brilliant view and got to spend it with my lovey. The staff was so kind and quick. Well done team!
A. M.
Great atmosphere, staff are friendly and polite, starter was amazing, lunch was great chicken however was a bit salty when it came to the thicker part of the meat, fries and sauce were great. Dessert blew me away amazing taste and display was creative. View is definitely worth checking out. Staff catered to our needs and gave us the window seat when requested
amazing lunch.
A. D.
The drinks and views are spectacular! For the amount of $ you're spending, the food does not meet the price. Tastes okay and no thought behind the presentation. Just slapped it on the plate and call it good.

This was probably the highlight of our trip to London last weekend. We paid the 5 extra pounds per person to be sat next to the window for the Sunday Afternoon Tea and it was so worth it! We were overlooking the Thames and the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. We opted to only have the afternoon tea without any alcohol, but the bottomless champagne and cocktails sure did look tasty.
You will likely have to wait in a queue for a bit at the entrance on the ground level since they do a security check and also only allow 6 people in the elevator, but once you get up there and take it all in, you'll realize it's quite worth it. Staff were quite attentive and all food/drinks are bottomless for the 2 hours of your booking. Definitely recommend!
I. B.
Excellent food, wine, and staff. I do recommend the peppered steak medallions.
C. C.
Fine food, fast service, great atmosphere but limited time for dining. Make us feel a bit rush dining. Still worth to dine here.
K. K.
I received an absolutely phenomenal service there last weekend. In particular from Simone and a gentleman whom I believe his name started with a J at the bar (James?). Made our night so much better.
A. M.
This place isn't cheap but the view and the food can be well worth it, particularly if you're seated near one of the window. We loved all of the food that we ordered, particularly the mashed potatoes on the site - so creamy! Service was really friendly, too!
S. T.
The public bar gives a beautiful view over the city of London! For some drinks and small finger food it’s a perfect place within the day or the evening. However, depending on the day the service is slow. Still, the Obelix bar is very recommendable to go to. :)
C. R. (.
I am not a food photographer by the way. :)
But the food was GREAT. After graduating we had dinner and it was a great memory.
Recommend to everyone. It’s little pricy but should visit at least once.
V. C.
Good bar and not that busy late at night allowing to you get window tables close to closing time. The view is to the north and east. Cocktails are expensive. There is a sweet one in a coconut-style mug which was good. Aqua Shard is an alternative which has more expansive views and the infamous men's toilets looking out over London.
S. T.
Amazing view, convenient location and relaxed atmosphere. I had an afternoon tea with my friend for the first time. The restaurant is on 32nd floor, pretty high and we sat by the window which was lucky to have a lovely view.
Afternoon tea was also so tasty, shape of the cakes were designed like a shard building. All the staff was very kind and friendly. If you’re lucky to have a fine weather, sunset and night view are absolutely overwhelming to watch!
S. G.
The food, the view, the service was all as good as the view. We booked a window table at sunset to make the most of it and I highly recommend.
P.
Had dinner here on Saturday evening for my friend birthday. Busy/noisy atmosphere but the food was great and service was a 10/10.
H. B.
Great views, although partially obstructed by the building frame at some points and a lot of internal relection due to the glass. Amazing food, although generosity of portions varies. Amazing service.
B. D.
Wow what an amazing restaurant. Food and service were top notch, as expected. The views were awesome and we enjoyed a full 2hour sitting. Worth the extra few pounds to get a window seat to enjoy the view. Definitely an expensive experience though...something to do once in a while.
I. G.
Incredible views from our window seat, great service and the food was bang on too. I was expecting to be priced out of such an exclusive location but it was financially accessible to a non-rich person, although not something I could afford to do every-week at £80 per head. A nice treat for sure.
C. K.
We went for the £36 appetizer, main, desert, and drink lunch special. It was delicious and the service was excellent. Obviously a great view as well! Definitely recommended.
D. M.
Celebrating whole lot of special. We decided on one of THE best places in London, The Shard. There are a few different cool places to hang and dine here, but we choose Oblix for dinner. We celebrated my husband's birthday here while on our honeymoon.
Let me start by stating we got there on a Monday and it looked and seemed like a Friday night. It was hard to get a table without a reservation, but because of great service, they accommodated us regardless. We started with the Truffle Flatbread with feta cheese, hummus and rosemary. Highly recommend. Very delicious, light and just a wonderful start to the rest of your meal. We then tried Lamb Chops which my husband stated were grilled to perfection and bursting with flavor! I tried to Lobster & Clam Linguini, with chilli, garlic and lemon. This was THE best dish I have had in London!
As I stated earlier in my review, it felt like a Friday night rather than a Monday. Good music, packed with beautiful people and beautiful views. This is a MUST while in London.
L. R.
Fantastic! The view. The service. The food. All of it was exceptional. Highly recommended. Certainly not cheap but worth the splurge.
S. P.
Went for a surprise birthday brunch, was a great venue, the views are amazing. We sat by the window which was even better. Food and service was very good, although a little disappointed with the dessert.
D. S.
Very nice music 🎶 Delicious food 🍴 Good service and amazing view from any spot!
Definitely must go for family dinner or romantic date!
I recommend East Oblix for tourists like me - London on a palm of your hand... Just stunning!
D. S.
Food was lovely, as you'd expect for the price. The wait for desert was a little long. Views obviously great, and the whole experience was enjoyable.
I'd say the service was actually excellent, our waiter was polite and attentive just the right amount.
J. L.
Fabulous! Best way to see the city of you are only in town for a short time. Gorgeous views of the London Bridge and other monuments.
If you are dining on the West side you can see a spectacular sunset! All of the staff were friendly and accommodating, the food was incomparable!
I ordered a flat bread as an appetizer and got a dinner portion of lobster pasta, delicious!
D. W.
If you want to go somewhere special for a meal out then Oblix is up there (literally in this case) on the list. We had a corner table by the windows (small surcharge) and the views around London were fabulous. We had dinner when the sun set so this made the viewing even better to watch London turn from day to night. The food was also brilliant and our table host was excellent. Although this was an expensive meal, the portions were generous so you are getting a better deal than many other restaurants.
J. H.
Any reasonable person would agree that since it's costly doesn't imply that it's acceptable. This was undoubtedly the most over the top nauseating food I've at any point had in my life. I was in an ideal situation setting aside my cash and having air for supper since this wasn't it at aaaalllllllll! Possibly you'll partake in the ribeye yet most certainly stay away from the fish 🤢🤮
R. D.
Try to book for the best views but you can still grab a naughty cocktail or beer. Great front of house and service. Even on a Saturday night, lovely relaxed vibe with a dj, who was playing sounds that didnt drown.
S. S.
Lovely restaurant and bar on 32nd floor of Shard’s building. Staff were great, beautiful wine selection. Food very yeasty as ginger food. Prices we very reasonable. I will recommend the places.
A.
Don't go to Oblix expecting great food. The interior of Oblix is very nice and the panoramic views over London are stunning. However, if you desire interesting delicious dinner I would advise to go elsewhere.
For starters I had crab with batter and chilli mayonnaise. The dish was probably the best we got that night although the batter was quite heavy for the delicate raw material and the chilli mayonnaise was a rather cheap condiment for a nice restaurant. My main course was a disaster. I ordered barbequed blad cod with coriander salsa. The fish itself wasn't too bad but the bbq sauce was just salty and lacked complexity and the whole dish lacked that barbecued aroma entirely. The worst performance was the "coriander salsa" (sorry about the image quality). It was tin corn with a bit of coriander sprinkled on top. In my opinion, okay fit for an M4 service station diner but not for a proper restaurant.
The staff were friendly but when they noticed I was underwhelmed by my main course, they offered to change it as they usually do. I did not feel like trying anything else from their menu so I just told them it wasn't necessary. After that almost all staff came one after another to our table asking the same question. The whole scene made me a little uncomfortable despite their intentions.
The view is the only reason to go to Oblix. Go for a drink or maybe a light lunch but not expect a great dining experience. Oblix is a London equivalent to restaurant on a touristy piazza, disappointing and pricey food with a view. The view also comes with a little negative: if you sit by the window people are taking pictures left and right. And yes, I do realise the irony of this complaining about this, but the view is very good.
K. C.
Good food and good portions however too pricy. Had to pay an extra £10 to sit by the window
T. S.
Favourite lunch place on the south bank. Up market modern British cuisine at fair rates and its almost always possible to do a walk-in.
p. p.
Oblix east serves cocktails and bar nibbles. The view from the restaurant is beautiful. But you might not always get a window side table, so you will have to request the staff for a window table, and they will get you one, as it becomes available. The staff at Oblix was very welcoming and nice. The restaurant was also following Covid-19 protocol. Everyone was wearing masks and was socially distanced.
O. K.
The place is obviously amazing. The service is very good. However the food is good but for ce the price you pay I would say it doesn't worth it.
L. M.
I had a great time here. The food was amazing and I ate one of the best salad in the world. The stuff is kind, the rooms are fancy and the views are stunning!
M. B.
Loud music making a noise place with people talking loudly to be heard. Service is sloppy, but charges 13.5%, go figure. Food is good. The view is nice, but for that there are better places.
c. r.
Had a really nice experience here. The view was excellent, if you're visiting the Tower Bridge, make a stop to this bar, you wont regret it. They do charge a 13.5% service fee on top of your bill. I ordered the Jonny Walker cocktail "The Polaris", it was incredible.
G. N.
Lovely lunch here, the staff kindly moved us to a window seat too which made a huge difference. Delicious food.
M. L.
Loved the experience. Celebrated a friends birthday, staff was friendly and they gave us window seat. Loved the service. Food was really good, we had salmon and white sauce pasta. Loved the food, seating and views .Must visit this place for a romantic dinner.
M. L. W.
Just love visiting Oblix.
Yummy Sunday lunch with the fab veiws of London & a glass of fizz.
The choice of desert's is mind blowing.
If your looking for a night out though you should arrive early enough to enjoy the veiws and enjoy table service, cocktails and amazing live music.
Its the best spot in London!!
R. H.
Service and food is fantastic. A little pricey but when you're visiting from afar it's fine as a one off. Great views of London, I'd recommend going for the sunset on a clear day.
O. B.
Amazing environment in the mid air of downtown London. The duck for two is highly recommended. The service is more in a rush mode. We were told the kitchen is extremely busy so we need to order the entire set of food immediately. That’s the thing that intimidated me a little. Other than that is quite good.
T. M.
Unbelievably good steak, with great wine too. View was fantastic, and staff were friendly and attentive. As you might expect, very pricy. Three course meal for two came to £250 (incl. service), and just a single tanquerey and tonic was around £11
N. K.
The view is great wherever you sit. The food is simple and good quality. Oblix West is the fine dining, good food, Oblix East is the bar, often mixed as they have different entries.
R. T.
We had the Basic tasting menu with paired wines. It was a stunning choice. Highly recommended. And the views are pretty good. Staff excellent.
S. R. (.
Great experience. Just had afternoon tea in a very busy restaurant. Oblix West. Service was great, staff attentive, focused and personal, food was excellent quality. Although not cheap the whole experience was memorable with of course the benefit of the view. 5 star review.
P. L.
This is a good restaurant, I visited Oblix east, which is a more relaxed bar/restaurant, if you are celebrating a special event. Nice drink selection and extensive wine list. As others have commented service can be slow in terms of the food coming out. However I actually really enjoyed the food. Is it expensive? Well I guess not many restaurants have the view.
P. S.
Free view from the Shard with kids! Thank you! Let us in with kids before 6pm allowing a free view as long as you buy a drink. Came in through the entrance marked "Restaurants" at street level (don't go to the "View from the Shard" because they try to convince you theirs is the only way to get up there).
We dressed smartly but it must have been obvious we weren't going to spend lots. However we were treated really nicely and the waitress spent time talking to the kids about what they could have which made them feel special.
Yes, the drinks did cost more than average but this is a WAY better than average venue, in fact I don't think I've been in a better one.
I just want to say thank you.
Pics don't do justice to the view.
If you do go just be reasonable, dress smartly, be polite and buy a drink and don't spoil it for others.
C. N.
This was the second visit to the Oblix restaurant, and the experience was the same “Absolutely Fantastic “ I don’t have any thing to criticise. From security, restaurant reception, waiting staff floor management and the fabulous kitchen staff all of you made our visit one to remember for making our son’s birthday special.
S. G.
Taking my wife for a birthday lunch treat we started in the bar for cocktails (I recommend the Strawberry Negroni) and then moved in to the main restaurant. Service and food was excellent. The fixed price "Elevator" menu and unlimited wine was good value. Oh, there were some views too.
C. T.
Had lunch here, great view. Food was excellent. Got the last table near the window at 1230 on a Monday
N. D. C.
The views are stunning, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The mains are so-so, but the dessert was divine. (toffee banana & crème brûlée tart with coffee ice-cream)
I. A.
I had a cocktail which I paid over £13 for, and my goodness was it disgusting! I couldn't even finish it. And the meals that I had were not too nice either. The Caesar salad was horrible. I've been to all of the restaurants within the Shard and this was probably the worst for me - food wise. Although the ambience, staff, and general experience was nice , as always in the shard. Very romantic settings and beautiful views. I would not visit this restaurant again though.
A. M.
Amazing atmosphere with best food tase. Highly recommended lobster and ribeye
D.
Service was outstanding, I spent few evening trying out the different restaurants in the Shard last week & the best one to me was the oblix. The staff where great & I ended up going back to oblix few day later & had the same server & he remember what I had & I was very impressed. Drinks & food where great, I look forward to going next time I am in London
S. V.
We liked everything in general, the Tartar was very good and (in the picture) the sharing fish starter was good as well.
The chicken was nice but not special, the lamb instead was very vice.
We waited a bit too long.
Kind waiter's.
D. D.
I really couldn't have asked for a better b- day dinner at a better venue. I actually had reservations at the Shard but cancelled it after comparing menus. I was seated on the Eastside of the restaurant, I had a direct view of the London Pride. My waitress Robbi or Bobbi (Italian female) was really lovely, attentive and kind. The food, omfg the food. When I'm spending money, I don't like to be disappointed and I wasn't. My mocktail mint Mojito was EVERYTHING, my starter and my meal. AH MAY ZIN.....
P. B.
An amazing place to see London especially at night, the staff were attentive even on a busy Saturday evening. Food was nice , clean and filling. There are a lot of interesting people that were full of them selves but they can be ignored with amazing reviews.
L. M.
One of the best nights by far...amazing views when you look out of the window and then down at the food.
J.
Excellent service, the food was really good. Obviously you're paying a premium for the view and location.
My only bug bare was tourists coming up without reservations and taking photos whilst we dined. They really did not care and they was pushing behind us and cameras being used in between courses etc. It was very annoying and rude but I guess it happens all the time.
M. A.
Definitely a chic place to dine. Caramelized pork skewers are very tasty! Seafood linguini was super!
S. I.
we have been here 4 times so far and every time it was a great experience, the food is great, service as well and the view is stunning !
L.
Really great experience, pretty expensive but the cocktails are worth it, amazing view of London, incredible by night.
N. M.
Fantastic view of London with skyline view of St Paul's Cathedral, London eye, Gherkin, Tower hall and Tower Bridge
A great place to celebrate birthday or small parties ( expensive to host many :) )
A. C.
Just mediocre on all counts. Service could’ve been better, food should’ve been better, views are meh unless you’re by the glass.
Very expensive for the value you get.
A.
This is one of my top 5 restaurants in london.
The staff are always amazing had a young chap look after us on the west side, he was amazing. Checking with us and being very attentive (two acctually, one william and i waa not able to get the others name), they always have a smile and have amazing attitudes, warm, welcoming and charming. Just as fine dining should be.
The food is always of the highest quality, as I write this, everything is cooked to perfection.
The style is nodern and stylish, lots of wood with some stone, leather and great lighting. The views are stunning.
Thank you for another amazing night!
A. B.
Amazing dining experience with a fantastic view of the city. The wait staff were very sweet, and ensured we were satisfied with our food. Food itself was pretty good, although I found the main of the lamb shank to be a bit salty but it was cooked well. Must try, highly recommended 4/5
Y. N.
Booked the oblix for my sister’s 21st birthday and omg! Got a window view table, it was amazing. Service was awesome, we were served by Juan who was very friendly and saw to it that we had a nice time. Would 100 % recommend!
T. C.
I always go for the wagyu Tomahawk steak. Not cheap at around £170 but worth it. The views are awesome as you can expect from The Shard, specially if you manage to get a window table. Highly reccomend as a place to invite that beautiful lady for dinner.
L. C.
Nice foods than before
O. M.
Great service, and the food was good! I was worried that it'll just be a flashy place but was pleasantly surprised!
J. H.
Love this place, the food is great and the staff are excellent, nothing is too much to ask - customer service is on point for such a big busy place. Oh, and the view, stunning. I always take my out of town visitors for drinks and nibbles in the lounge.
F. M.
Food, dessert or service, was amazing and lovely as expected for the price. The view is very nice and romantic. If you want to spend money for your pleasure, don't think just go!
M. M.
Spectacular view, atmosphere and food!! Definitely do give it a try.
S. 1.
Amazing views and great food! The staff even went to the effort of an added touch.
C.
Matteo (Venetian waiter) gave us amazing service, would definitely recommend for a family meal or girls' brunch - 10/10
G. H.
Stunning view, food and drink. Lovely way to see London whilst indulging on amazing food and wine.
L. G.
Very nice restaurant - quite expensive: you can eat for about 35 pounds choosing wisely...or get the big steak for 90 pounds...
Wonderful view from 32 floor!
V. K.
Maybe I had too high expectations, but I was slightly disappointed... My fish didn't have much taste but the side dishes were delicious! The staff was very attentive and helpful.
A. N.
Although the cocktails and the view is amazing the food really doesn't live up to expectations. Portion sizes are small and not so flavoursome so expect to pop into McDonald's on the way home
D. A.
In a word, exceptional - the professionalism of the staff, the quality of the food and the views. All things combined to make an unforgettable experience!
J. M.
Phenomenal food, a great view, incredible service, and an overall fantastic time. A great way to spend a Sunday brunch.

Thank you for having us! Food was very delicious 😋

Fantastic experience at Oblix! Amazing food and all the staff was so carefully about my allergies! I'll return for sure
D. S.
The view was absolutely flawless. Our waitress was great. However, I was slightly disappointed with the mac’n’cheess and pork bell as they did not taste fresh.
D.
Really nice food, with fantastic views. The staff were polite and it was a very enjoyable experience.
A. K.
Oblix East side, beautiful view and delicious food
L. N.
A sober and marvelous place. A bit to noisy but spectacular wiev. Expensive but well worth it.

Once in a lifetime experience. Staff are superb.

Great food, views, and service. An excellent place for a special occasion.

So Chic, modern food, amazing view above London.
D.
Really nice food, with fantastic views. The staff were polite and it was a very enjoyable experience.
J. K.
Nice concept and execution, great views, quality food, bit pricey but that's expected. On the downside - a lot of Karens, at least during my visit, from low paid jobs trying to live high life for a moment and squeezing every penny they spend from servers time, delaying service.
L. N.
A sober and marvelous place. A bit to noisy but spectacular wiev. Expensive but well worth it.
P. D.
The dinner was great. One of the best cod that ilI ever tried. It is a bit pricy and the ambient isn't great. It is a good place for a business dinner, buy not for a romantic evening.
M. M.
Obviously nice surroundings. Food is good but the chef is heavy handed on salt....shame
K.
Nice food, nice view and great service!
V. S.
Excellent food! Slightly overpriced! Amazing squid and octopus as starters! Highly recommended if you are going! And great views!!
K. T.
Great food, fantastic views, friendly staff.
B. R.
Lovely, lively venue to celebrate something special. Attentive service and fabulous afternoon tea.
M. H.
Been here several times and the place never disappoints. Excellent service, great selection of wines and spirits.
S. S.
Rrally cool views on top of the shard, especially great to go during sunset. Food is also very good and impressed by the service. Very good experience overall.
A. G.
The view/location can't really be beaten, try and book at a time when the sun is setting so you can enjoy both light and dark across London. The food is exceptionally well presented but could use a bit of improvement in the flavours department considering the price. Likewise the drinks were good but not mind blowing. Their selection of spirits is impressive though, so if you're up for a whisk(e)y you have a great range to pick from.
All round a good time, expensive (as you should expect), but we felt it was worth it, if they improved their food just a bit it would be near unbeatable.
B. K.
A great fine dining place which offers spectacular views of London from 32nd floor of the SHARD. The staff is extremely polite, lovely and friendly. This is a place you should not miss.
A. G.
View from the restaurant was great. Overall, the staff were nice.
Food was pretty disappointing for the price, and the service was very slow. Took over 3 hours to have a 3 course meal.
Staff didn't seem to know much about which food were gluten free, despite me informing them before we arrived.
M. G.
Wonderful food and views. Definitely worth arriving earlier to soak in the views at the bar before dinner
M. G.
They always say, you get what you pay for. Expensive but the service and experience is exquisite. I booked for our 12 year anniversary. The food and drinks were delicious but sadly we didn't get to sit next to the window. You'll get them if you're lucky as you cannot ask for them beforehand. One window table became free as soon as we sat down on our table but we were close enough to the window so didn't bother disturbing the staff. I liked that everywhere we went, we were greeted with a "happy anniversary" including text on our dessert so it felt very personal.
c. d.
Great Food Great Location, We were lucky to have a table right over the window... not for the faint hearted but for a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious night ...5 stars.. PS: beware the £££
O. S.
We had an amazing meal at Oblix to celebrate our Engagement. The table was not ready so we got a drink in the bar, which was then removed from our bill without us realising for the inconvenience in waiting. The food was exceptional and probably one of the best meals we've ever had. The views were amazing and an experience we wont forget anytime soon.
J. T.
Great steak and brilliant staff. Expensive but worth it
K. Z.
Amazing food, amazing views and even better customer service. Will definitely be returning every time I’m in England !!
G. M.
Came for my partners birthday, and suffer with a bad nut allergy so was very nervous. However, when I got there I was very please to see they handed me a ‘nut free’ menu for both mains and dessert; something I’ve never experience before. It reassured me and made me feel a lot more at ease knowing they take allergies seriously enough to have separate menus. The many of the waiters were unaware there was a nut free dessert menu and the manager/head waiter had to show them so I think all staff should be made more aware of special menus and dietary requirements. Also, ordered the lobster which tasted amazing but he little meat in it, so ended up spending a lot of money and leaving still a bit hungry. Amazing views and polite staff.
M. M.
Great food. Great service. But do not expect to have a "normal conversation" with people at your table. A very noisy environment. Not what I was expecting at all
T. K.
Absolutely fantastic.
Can't be beaten.
I took my girlfriend here to propose to her. Thankfully she said yes!
The staff from start to finish was absolutely amazing, helpful, friendly.
The waiter video recordered the proposal for me, we got a free glass of bubbly and on the dessert wrote with chocolate sauce congratulations!
The food was brought out with sufficient timing, the food was extremely tasty I can't complain at all.
2 starter 2main 2dessert 2 cocktails come to £201, there is a discretionary service charge 13.5%
Because of how great they were throughout the night I did pay it.
I will be back and would recommend a visit.
D. H.
Lovely lunch. Great atmosphere. Expensive but worth it for views
L. W.
A stunning location, experience was spoiled by a rude female staff member
B. M.
Great place to be, customer service is good. The bars are great as well, top quality drinks. The kitchen though and the menu could be improved. Not a truly gourmet taste for the money you spend. I am not a professional chef but I could have done my fish much better to be honest. I was expecting 5 stars for the kitchen but here we go - 4 from me and I think it's more than fair.
A. K.
Great restaurant with view of London . Food was excellent .Must visit place for romantic date
G. G.
We went for the brunch and omg! A lot of food and my glass was never empty!
C. S.
Fantastic atmosphere, staff and views across London. Thank you for a truly memorable night
C. W.
As usual great food, great service, great views and great value offer £36 for 3courses including a cocktail. Brilliant. The only disappointment is when paying the bill, and having already paid 13.5% service the expectation for a further tip.. "add a gratuity".. Yes/No..? Is outrageous.. I said No of course
B. M.
The food is excellent, staff on arrival and reception are excellent. Though staff on leaving are quite gastapo like. I really do not appreciate the farewell tone. Maybe I will frequent and be loyal to other restaurants that does similar food to Shard Oblix. Farewell training required.
S. H.
I'm happy to eat at either end of the foodie scale. So, let's be honest here. If we take away the magnificent view, the Oblix wouldn't be that memorable. I'm really not keen on being treated like a sardine, nor having my champagne bucket moved some 20ft away from me because there's no room at the table. Everybody seems more interested in having their photo taken by the window than relaxing in the company of friends. No. There are plenty of places to go where the service is genuine the food memorable and you still get the location wow factor. Try the Wolseley, for instance.

Had lunch with my family for my sisters 21st! The brunch was amazing and the service was unreal! Our waiter was call Kevin and his service was the best!! Thankyou, will definitely be returning when we can.
L. B.
Requested a better table due to our visit being a special occasion. To no surprise, the staff accommodated us. The drink refills were sharp and the views were mesmerising. Will be booking again.

Unbelievably view of London from the shard, truly stunning. The food is also very well done and well prepared, would recommend. The price of the individual meals is a bit pricey but reasonable thought you will effectively pay "altitude price" for the views! The service charge however seemed alot, so be prepared!
L. N.
We came here for our anniversary dinner and it didn't disappoint. The best steak and chips I've ever had. Great cocktails, beautiful cheesecake and the warm bread to start with was lovely. Excellent service and an amazing setting. Could not fault a thing. Would definitely return and recommend.

Thoroughly worth it at its price point, and decidedly one of the best fine dining experiences my family and I have ever had. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was amazingly attentive, including regarding my mother's food allergies. Would recommend to anyone wanting a special evening meal with one of the best views in London.
A. Z.
Overall a nice experience for a one off visit, but would not return due to the service and prices as high as the restaurant itself.
I came here with my partner for a celebratory dinner. We were greeted by friendly staff, who lead us to our seats. The atmosphere was very nice, and of course the view was amazing. We weren't able to get a window seat but the views weren't spoilt by that. We ordered a starter to share (salmon flat bread), two burgers, two sides of mash, and two desserts at £10 each. The food itself was okay - tasty with good sized portions, but not worth the extortionate prices. We also felt a bit coerced to buy water (we weren't offered tap water until after we bought a bottle and had finished our meal, where they continuously poured us some from a jug). Similarly, although service was generally very speedy, it slowed considerably after asking for the bill. We were made to wait 20 minutes to receive the bill, and there was an added £22 service charge to our already large £90 bill (for a shared starter, 2 mains, 2 desserts, 2 lemonades and a bottle of still water). We did not feel the service was worth this amount but when the server finally came, she didn't even ask us if we were happy paying the full amount and once again felt coerced to do so.
I believe there are much nicer restaurants to visit for the price we paid. The cost was for the view, and not the food or service.

My husband and I went here doe dinner while on our honeymoon in November of 2019 and it was perfect. We had no reservation but arrived eight before dinner and they found us a table for 2 right by the window. It was dark outside and you could see all of london lit up, making the perfect backdrop for our romantic dinner.
Juan was our server and just made our night so special! His recommendations were spot on, the drinks were exquisite, the bread, pork chop, lamb, mashed potatoes, green beans, and dessert were some of the best and I highly recommend every dish!
The staff showed the best hospitality and we were able to have after dinner drinks while watching the Tower Bridge from 32 stories up. I cannot say enough about how accommodating the managers and wait staff were, thank you for the perfect dining experience!!!!
M. A.
We probably had the best seats in the restaurant, beautiful views over London, food was good but I expected a little more, bill came to £114 but not bad as 'an experience' was a nice evening and really enjoyed it. The place was just a bit too noisy which made it hard to have a conversation as it gets hectic busy in the restaurant/bar area.
D. W.
View is amazing, food very nice. You're definitely paying for the view, rather than the food though!
D. H.
Lovely date night at Oblix West. 32 floors up the shard looking over the city and on towards the west end. Nice comfortable atmosphere and we were lucky to get a window tablet for two.
Our lovely waiter Juan recommended the Chefs signature tasting menu, 10 plates of delicious food, with the Black Cod and Steak cooked rare to perfection! The wine list is huge and Juan recommended the Sasseo red wine, a smooth delicious wine.
All in all. A great night, amazing views of London, great service, delicious food.
B. W.
What a nice and cosy place ;) Recommend for a fancy visit out and about with drinks and food!
J. H.
Obviously the best part is the stunning views. But the restaurant is also really cool. The open kitchen you walk through is amazing. Once seated, the food is OK at best. But still, an amazing experience.
N. S.
Great food, views, and service. An excellent place for a special occasion.
N. P.
Stunning location and really friendly staff. We booked in for afternoon tea and were early but we were seated in the bar area and even moved over to our table early! The afternoon tea treats are delicious!
P. N.
Excellent venue for my 50Th Birthday Day celebrations with Family
M. s.
Went there yesterday for our 7th year Wedding Anniversary. Couldn't get a table in the actual restaurant but got one in the lounge area and what an atmosphere it was! From the point we walked out of the lifts we were greeted and taken care of right away. We had a corner table right near the window so had a beautiful view. Our waitress for the night was just exceptional. She recommended a few drinks and they were just brilliant. The food was delicious and then we asked if we could move tables for a better view and there was one that was reserved but they happily gave to us which was fantastic! She was on point which you hardly get these days. Its an experience you must not miss out on!
L.
Nice place with good cocktails, variety of whiskies for every taste and exceptional awesome view
J. C.
Went for a special occasion, and the views were spectacular. Love the walk through the open plan kitchen to get to the tables. The decor is cool and pretending levels are high! However staff were friendly and attentive. Food allergies and intolerances were really well catered for. The cocktails were good but, as always, best to go of menu. The food was good, generous portions and solid offering. Wine a bit disappointing but could have been due to an unadventurous waiter. Wasn't cheap but good for a treat...
R. C.
Views great. Food ok.
T. S.
Very enjoyable brunch, great food, service, ambiance and of course view. £50 for the brunch, but a few glasses of wine sees it get pricey quickly, and even with children's menus for our two girls, it mounts up, so brace yourself when the bill comes.
D. F.
The view was stunning. The drinks were fun and good service!
C. A.
Had the tasting menu. Food and service was superb. The lamb was possibly the best meat I've ever eaten. Highly recommended for special occasions. Views across London are also fantastic and well worth the trip.
A. W.
Cool bar with a nice atmosphere. The staff were attentive and they managed the numbers well to make sure it was still a comfortable environment despite being busy. The cocktails were delicious too, and of course an incredible view!
J. O.
Nice food, afternoon tea was delicious. Amazing view as you would expect.
A bit pricey, but again you expect this.
What let’s it down is the uncoordinated service. Had to keep asking for things, including drinks already ordered. Not very good.
E. J.
Had a great experience here - loved the service! The vibe and the food were great!
J. B.
A totally amazing experience. Staff amazing nothing to much trouble. The food and the views out of this world.
R. G.
You're going up to this place for the view. We were luckily seated next to the window with a perfect view of tower bridge.
The atmosphere was also great. They had a couple singers and a band during dinner which added a good vibe.
Food and cocktails are good, not great. At the price you'd expect more and will get more at higher end restaurants not on top of the shard. You are paying for the name.
Service was below average. When being served they're great but disorganised due to the being busy. They either need more staff or a better system.
All and all I think it's worth coming at least once especially if you don't want to pay shard entry fees and is nice for a special occasion. Do not come here for value or high end quality though.
H. L.
(Oblix East) Excellent food and atmosphere with fantastic views of London. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, we got a free salad as there was a slight issue with one of our mains so we had to wait a tiny bit longer - very accommodating all round.
Strongly recommend the mango sorbet for dessert.
K. C.
I was suggested this restaurant for the views, and, after my research, I decide to book a table for my girlfriend's birthday.
For the booking, I requested candles with the dessert.
In the website does not allow to request for a window-table, but, on arrival, you can ask at reception, in case they have any available. They allocate us in a high table, but they told us they will try to accommodate us on one of the low tables next to the windows as soon as one was available. That happen before the starters arrive.
The menu was quite complete, but we decide to go for the Late Menu option, with 2 and 3 courses for a good value price.
Once we sat, the experience was just stunning. Food was fantastic, the cocktails amazing, and they also remember about the candles with the dessert. All people were friendly, and we really appreciate they try to give us the best table next to the window, once was available. Special remarks to our waiter, "Wissam". He was just really attentive, but giving us space to enjoy the experience. He sang for us happy birthday with the dessert, and also, he took us some photos with the views. It was a quite night, which allow him to take time with customers, which I believe is a Great Service.
I will definitely recommend this restaurant for a special night.
G. N.
Excellent food and excellent views, the service could have been a touch quicker.
J. C.
Great place. For the price/location, I would have expected the wait staff to be slightly more refined. The service was polite, but sometimes haphazard.
Everyone wants a window seat! To get one book your table for 2 people at 6pm during the week (earlier on Friday) and you stand the best chance.
V. B.
Good food, nice veiw, great waiter
G. W.
A pricey meal but great quality and unique views. Booking essential and get there early as security / scanners can delay entry.
C. M.
The presentation and food quality was incredible. Our waiter was only OK. Lots of reflections from inside the restaurant affected the view someone but all in all it was a positive experience. Again the food quality was great… If not just a little bit pricey.
S. K.
Everything was lovely!
if you want to enjoy the amazing view of the Shard without paying an expensive ticket, Oblix is the perfect place! The drinks are amazing and at very reasonable prices! We went on a Sunday evening without booking and we got a table right at the window, was lovely!
P.
It was a nice bar and the prices weren't that bad considering it's a bar at the top of the Shard (c. £15 for a cocktail). The service was really poor though. After sitting down it took us at least 10-15 minutes to get anyone's attention, as the wait staff seemed to be paying absolutely 0 attention to the tables as they walked around the bar. I had to break off a conversation with my companion and sit there with my hand raised several times before anyone noticed me. The second round of drinks we ordered we asked for water as well as the drinks, and a different server came back with the drinks but no water, so we had to ask again. Not the service you'd expect for the location or the money.
A.
Went with a friend for lunch on her birthday. Reserved a time but arrived 20 minutes early and were let in without any fuss. Served by Chisa who was very pleasant, cheerful & attentive. She even took photos of us when she noticed we were poor at selfie taking. Enjoyed the food and experience. Shame it was so cloudy so view from window table not as good as I hoped.
A. P.
Lighting rather dim, but I guess that's the price you pay for the views.
A. T.
My prtner booked Oblix West for midweek lunch and although we weren't lucky enough to get a seat right next to the window we were still close enough to enjoy the views. We were given the menus and ordered a couple of cocktails. We visited on a voucher through Truly and it was such good value. The service from start to finish was attentive and friendly.
M. A.
Had an 80th Birthday lunch here for my dad. We were a table of 4 and the whole experience was brilliant. Kevin, our waiter, and the other staff couldn’t do enough for us. The food was delicious. It was expensive but worth every penny. We were lucky to have a window corner table. The fish options were particularly gorgeous.
O. S.
Absolutely amazing dining experience from the moment we walked in. We were lucky enough to be seated by the window so obviously benefited from the sensational view.
My partner had the rib-eye steak and I had the chicken; we had chips and the green beans on the side. It honestly couldn't have been better - cooked to perfection! Delicious. The prosecco complimented our meals beautifully.
Our waiter was extremely friendly and attentive and definitely helped make the experience
H. J.
I treated my daughter to a beautiful 17th birthday lunch and much needed dad and daughter time. I chose the £56 each 3 course meal with a glass of wine and fast track to the 72nd floor.
The service was excellent, the starters menu disappointing but the mains were superb.
I was not impressed to find we had to further pay £4,50 for all sides as mains came with nothing. This should have been made clear on the menu and deal pre booking.
An amazing view of the city though and a worthy restaurant to enjoy lunch
R. S.
Good food, amazing views but marginally 'too up itself'. Staff are a bit arrogant and if you dare mention your preference for a window table, their immediate reaction is to say no. I get that! Everyone wants to sit by the window. However, for those very high prices, the restaurant should be about the window tables. Although the food is great, for those prices you can do better at a ground floor level Michelin-starred restaurant!
S. L.
Had a wonderful birthday dinner here last night to celebrate Dad’s 60th. They kindly gave us a large window table, tucked away giving us not only a fabulous view of London but felt a little more “private” especially because it was a full house so otherwise quite noisy.
My lobster linguine was scrumptious!! So flavoursome! My family had the grilled fish which was very good too!
Wonderful experience in all.
C. G.
Had a lovely dinner party there with the most spectacular views of London. However, the meat was a bit too salty for my palette. Thanks for the meal and great service!
D. F.
Obviously great view. The starters were absolutely divine. I was a bit annoyed that the waiter convinced us that the tasting menu wasn't going to be too much food, it was definitely too much food. Also, he kept coming over again and again to ask if we wanted to order alcoholic beverages and laughed when we said we didn't.
S. P.
My wife brought me here to celebrate my birthday. I loved the atmosphere and the view. Service wise, it was very professional. But that can in turn be explained by the 13.5% added at the top of the bill. In relation to the food, I was slightly disappointed as much expectation was built upon the place's reputation. My steak was slightly undercooked and I the salad (which was supposed to be dressed) bland. All in all, great place for special occasions!
M. C.
Both me and my family absolutely loved it here. The view does not need me to say anything as it says it all itself. I absolutely loved the food here and the service that came along with it made it that extra special. Wanted to give special thanks to Parsa who made us feel sooo welcome and gave impeccable service.
C. R.
I had a birthday dinner here two years ago organised by my partner.
The entire experience was brilliant starting with the superb views, customer service and ending with delicious food and wine.
I hope we could repeat the experience one day
D.
Although not for everyone’s pocket book this place is excellent. I personally enjoyed the Waggu sirloin steak. It was cooked to perfection and was worth every penny of it is £72 price tag. My dining partner chose the lamb and once again it did not disappoint.
The ambiance is very nice the views speak for themselves and the wait staff were courteous friendly and made the dining experience that much better.
R. C.
We decided to celebrate our 7 anniversary so to make it special we choose Oblix after a online research.
Wasn’t a pleased experience unfortunately starting with the place we’ve been seethed was for 4 people and very low couch ( was plenty of free tables) even we’ve been asked to dress smart( but in the restaurant was people wearing normal clothes not casual or smart) so I was wearing heels/dress and for 2 hours I was sitting very uncomfortable not being able to enjoy.
We asked for a different table the lady said,,Sorry can’t help‘’
The only reason I give it 3* is the food which was delicious.
Customer service is poor, next time definitely will choose a better place.
Not recommend it to any friends or family :(
R. V.
The experience, the food ,the wine just topped it off by the friendly, and efficient service of the waiters, chefs and especially the assistant lounge manager Michele Giarrusso. A very enjoyable experience for my daughter had booked the restaurant and I would recommend it when in London.
G. M.
Would give 4.5 stars if possible. Very good quality service, which you would expect at a place with high prices. Wonderful experience, particularly for those who wish to bring a guest for a special occasion, such as for birthdays, etc. While a great experience, which would be fabulous for tourists hoping to get the most out of their experiences in London, I don’t think this is the sort of restaurant for locals and regular customers, who could catch the view from the viewing deck, and dine in a more inexpensive restaurant with better quality food. Very good overall though, not many complaints.
J. C.
Unbelievable food and view a must visit if you get the chance.
R. Z.
Food was pretty good, kind of pricey for what it is but obviously the view/novelty is what you pay for. Unless you get a window seat it's just a bar that serves food. I'll 4 star it because they made my friend feel special on her bday, service was great, drinks were great and toilets were fantastic.
D. S.
It is a good place to visit and it one of the best fine dining experiences I have had. The food was delicious, and the staff was attentive, they never liked to see an empty glass put it this way. Would recommend to anyone wants to see a great view of London and have a decent fine dining experience.
A. L.
Great welcoming and nice personal, Juan was in charge with our table and he was the best, he even brought my partner a dessert when he find out we celebrate his birthday. We loved the view from the restaurant. The food is delicious and good price. Th

Went with my family for a meal at the Shard. It was truly a fabulous tasting meal. Three of us had the lobster & husband had steak.
The staff are very attentive and the food is mouth watering and is beautifully presented.
Staff are very professional and you are made to feel special...it can be expensive but so worth it.

Booked a table for my husband's 40th Birthday. Received a confirmation informing me that if I didn't arrive within 20 mins if my booking the table would be released, and that the booking was from 13:30 until 15:00. Received the same email a few days later, then the day before the booking I got a text asking me to confirm I'd read the conditions. Turned up on time only to be told the table wasn't ready and told we could go to the bar or hang around the foyer. We went to the bar. 20 minutes later we still hadn't been seated so we asked what was happening, we were told the people were taking a long time with their desserts, we were finally seated 25 mins after our booking. We then waited nearly 1 hour for our main courses and so asked where they were, were told it was because we'd asked for well done beef. The food arrived and it was lovely. We then ordered dessert and whilst my husband was finishing his dessert he was asked to hurry up as other people had booked the table. He asked to speak to the manager as we were only still there due to the rediculously long time it took to serve us. They took off the price of the desserts and the 13.5% service charge without us having to ask. The food was nice but the service was appalling
G. G.
We went to celebrate Mom's b-day on a Sunday last December. Although the weather had disappointed, the views from our table, quite in the middle of the restaurant, were unique. The furniture is not what you would expect from a top restaurant, neither is the noise level, but the low ceiling cannot help it. The service, however, was excellent and they prove they are willing to go the extra mile. I believe I mentioned when reconfirming our booking that we wanted a window table because it would be for 'a birthday'. They warned they might not be able to grant our wish, but on the day and to our surprise they prepared our dessert with candles and all. Alex and the team were at all times very friendly without overwhelming or crossing any line. I came back one more time and would do again. The bar opposite the Oblix signs with a different name, I'm afraid, and maybe I didn't like what I saw from the access to the restrooms, but people should write the reviews in the right place.
A. A.
One amazing dinning experience. This is our 3rd visit to the west side restaurant and everytime we visit, it never ceases to wow us. We ordered the sea bass, burrata olives & datterini tomatoes, tenderstem broccoli, lemon verbena, crispy squid, chilli lime and the linguini dish. Everything was so delicious. Service was excellent, friendly and warm. When they found out that it was my wife's birthday they went that extra mile to make our experience even more sparkling with the candle lit happy birthday icecream. Only downside is that it is pricey. But I'll going there again.
T. S.
Yes it's expensive but you would expect this. Beautiful views. We ate in the lounge as we only booked a day before for my birthday. We had a set lunch menu which was around £50 a head with champagne (bolly darling) a buffet starter (all you can eat) and a yummy main. They have me a happy birthday dessert which was unexpected. Great relaxed atmosphere. Good for impressing someone or taking clients to.
I. S.
The view on the evening is amazing: one of the best experiences I have never done. The food is good, well presented and in the right quantity. I am only little disappointed about the service: it is too much present. I'd like to have a conversation with my partner without interruptions every 15 minutes...
B. B.
Must go. Great personnel, service, food, cocktails, ambience and vibe. Amongst the best restaurants in London.
S. L.
The views from Oblix, especially on a clear Summer's day, are incomparable. The service was very good, we got moved from a high table to one by the window for our dessert course. The food is ok but it's definitely the place to come for views.
L. C.
Great view! Good environment. Food was good but not outstanding
P. H.
The best place and customer service I've received in a very long time. Very warm welcome with attention to detail (we arrived with a suitcase and immediately got offered help and cloakroom service). Raluca has been just wonderful, very attentive, great knowledge of menu and also funny :) Food was super yummy and wine tasted like it's right from the vineyards. If I could I'd give a lot more than "just" 5* . Thank you and looking forward to come back again.
T. W.
Very expensive. Now the food and the view were more than worth the price tag. Unfortunately though the seats are far too relaxed and we spent most of our time perched on the edge of our seats eating over a low table. I'd liken it to eating at a coffee table. It's almost like the restraunters had never actually sat in their own seats to eat! I'd save your money on the food and load up on drinks! Great bar and atmosphere
r. v.
My wife booked a Suprise meal for our 25th wedding anniversary. The whole experience was outstanding, from the service, food , ambiance and views. We were lucky to have a band playing also, who were also brilliant. Would highly recommend going.
m. C.
Beautiful experience!
I took my mum for lunch today and it was amazing! Delicious food with a stunning view. The staff has been so kind to let us sit by the window and they all took very good care of us! Thank you guys!
a. i.
Visited for lunch following a trip to the Shard viewing deck.
Fortunate enough to get a window seat for two as we arrived early in the lunch period. Opted for the fixed price menu and wasn’t disappointed. Suckling Pig and salmon fillet mains were exquisitely cooked as were sides. Staff were friendly and attentive without being a nuisance. We had mentioned it was for our 25th wedding anniversary and the dessert plates came decorated with a personalised message - nice touch. Would definitely return.
s. l.
Very delicious food!!!!!!
My family and I visited Oblix west last weekend. We were amazed by the view!!! We been offered 2 different menues.
Our waiter Mohamed asked if we had any special occasion that day and obviously was birthday. Mohamed had suggested us the signature menus for 4 persons with only 70£ each . We really enjoyed that experience. All thanks to our waiter to make our night special and to be friendly. And thanks to Oblix. We will certainly come back to Oblix in the next visit to London.
O. M.
The place was easy to find, upon arrival quick security check. At the restaurant service was quick and attendance to the table fantastic. I guess it has to be 100%if they want you to leave in 2hours. The view of course is magical. Well worth to arrive earlier to get seated by the window. The food was ok, tasty but not special especially when you compare to the price, have to order sides separate which you have to pay extra for. Dessert menu didn't impress me at all, just had a scoope of sorbet. It was very noisy in the restaurant,a little bit disturbing. So if the food was better and the noise was reduced i would of given it a 5star.
R. S.
I went there for lunch and was a nice experience. The viewing is nice, but I think it's more beautiful in the evening.
The service was good and liked that the waiters gave us a window table. The food is ok. You definitely must get dessert.
J. P.
Had an excellent Sunday roast and loved the duck! Went for my sister's birthday and they were so nice to put us on a table with an amazing view and looked after her very well. Well worth a visit and trying the roasts on a Sunday but I am sure the other menus are just as good!
J. L.
Amazing service, all staff are so polite and quick to serve you! Interior is very warm and clean, nice place for a pint and food plus sports!! Really recommend this place!!
M. K.
After a lot of research and hours of looking for the perfect resturant i finally chose oblix, I must admit i had my doubts at first a lot of reviews had me believing i had made a mistake, but i kept faith and went through with the booking, and i am glad i did.
To start the food was amazing! The steak was perfectly cooked and crispy squid was the best.
The resturant had a lovely atmosphere and music wasnt too loud to hear my partner talking.
But the thing that i was most worried about after reading most of the reviews was the service. I must say i was blown away by how friendly they all were in prticular our main host Becky, we had been seated in the middle of the resturant because all the window tables were taken but after telling one of the staff memebers to move us when one became available, we were quickly whisked away to the most magical seats. Becky always had a smile on her face and was very helpful with helping us to decide what we should order it was easy to tell she was a lovely person in general.
I would definitely recommend this resturant and if you are lucky you will also be served by somone just as nice as our host.
A. G.
Lovely food and terrible banging music. Why does this restaurant insist on forcing 'ambiance' on diners. I asked for this awful drumming beat to stop and was told no. The Maitre D told me that 'the customers want it'. Was anyone ever consulted? I doubt it. I wasn't. I do not recommend this place until they stop the awful noise. Head Office needs to think about noise pollution. People want to hear each other talk they do not need a drumming noise pervading the atmosphere.
A. O.
The food was amazing, the views were great but I wasn't pleased with the ambience inside the restaurant. The dark theme made it pretty difficult to get any decent pictures which was quite disappointing for an expensive restaurant like this
Still a great place to dine and wine nonetheless.
U. T.
Beautiful view, awesome hospitality, less vegetarian options
P. E.
Good range and innovative cocktail menu, presented beautifully with spectacular views and excellent service.
M. S.
I visited Oblix West with my husband to celebrate my birthday. Drinks, service, and food were absolutely amazing. We had the fried octopus and steak tartare as starters, and seafood linguini and wagyu beef for mains. Absolutely recommended. But I have to say it's not really fine dining.
However there were a couple of disappointing things ...
The restaurant's website clearly describes the strict dress code. It is very disappointing when you show up and find people walking around in flipflops and trainers, and beach dresses! I understand it was summertime and there was a heatwave but this does not necessarily mean people can show up in less than casual dressing. It's not just the restaurant's dress code but also the Shard's! I was denied entry to the Shard once for wearing trainers, so it was very shocking when we arrived and found people dressed this way. Also, we were called 3 times before our dinner to confirm the reservation and were told that KIDS ARE NOT ALLOWED, only adults. We went for dinner and there were kids running around. When I asked the manager about the dress code he said that some pairs of trainers cost a fortune, and that a lot of tourists come in who are not aware of the dress code. I think you can deny them entry at the door like you did me once and then they will be aware of the dress code :)
Also, although the ladies' room was very clean, the men's toilets were in no good condition. Apparently the urinals were overflowing, only 2 of the toilets were functioning, and people hadn't been flushing. It is such a shame that such a nice place with really nice staff and food does not maintain/clean/look after their facilities like this. Maybe that's what happens when you let anyone in and giv the impression that casual and "relaxed" is acceptable.
I don't mean to sound arrogant, but people don't go to places like this for a daily lunch break. Places like these are for special occasions (which is why the staff ask every table what the occasion is!!), but the ambiance doesn't really make it feel special, just very expensive. Delicious but very expensive.
Although these couple of things were very disappointing, I can't say I won't go there again. I just won't make an effort and wear flipflops instead! Yes it is overpriced but you would think you're paying for the food and the experience, the latter being slightly ruined by the extermely relaxed attire and people treating the place like it's an English pub where you go for Sunday roast. Perhaps Oblix has always been this kind of place and I didn't know. Makes you wonder how many of the classy over-the-top restaurants really are what they say they are.
J. H.
Fantastic food and service. Didn't give a fifth star because they are so strict with the time slot. Would have loved a coffee after a fabulous lunch, but wasn't offered, just presented with the bill. Shame.
L. B.
Went for my wife's birthday. The views are amazing and the restaurant feels very modern.
There is a great selection of food and drinks and the service was good.
I recommend the seafood platter - Would go again.
t. w.
Food really wasn’t that great at Oblix east/west. Cold steaks and sides. Atmosphere very loud. Beautiful view. Staff friendly and attentive and manager sorted the bill for the poor food. Good cocktail menu.
D. Z.
Amazing food and service. We were treated like kings. Slightly overpriced but you would expect that for the views and place. The only minus goes to wine as it was 10 times more expensive than in shops! Other than that bar lounge was really nice with live jazz music (they charged an extra £5) for that
N. R.
Afternoon tea was delightful. The endless tea mad sandwiches+sweets with 360deg views was brilliant.

Amazing place with an amazing view from the 32nd floor! Cocktails are delicious and well-presented. Food is great, really worth the price. Went there on a Friday evening, there was a group with a singer, you could even dance.
If you have the opportunity, ask for a waiter named Wissam: he made us enjoy our night.

Lovely place with beautiful views across London. Music a little loud and restaurant a little too dark (couldn't have a proper conversation with our friends and had to use phone torch to read menu!) but food was lovely. Also recommend Touch the Rainbow cocktail!

We went here for our 1 year annaversary. Amazing food and top service. I feared it could have been a little pretentious given where it is, but the quality and size of the meal was spot on. Would highly reccomend for a special meal.

The food was great. Portions are tiny and very expensive. Understand its meant to be expensive but the portions are just ridiculous. Full 3 course meal filled me up as much as a starter would in any other restaurant. Had to go eat elsewhere straight after leaving here.

I also feel there are better places to eat and drink for less money. The service was very slow, the price of the food was OK, slightly above other restaurants but the cost of the drinks was ridiculous. There is an absolutely fantastic view but we had a table against the back wall with 3 of our party with their backs to the windows who couldn't see anything. I was disappointed as we were there for a very special occasion and I personally felt it didn't fulfil the anticipation and excitement I had about dining there.

Fine dining, with even finer views out over London. Excellent service and extensive menu. Certainly worth paying a little more to eat in this classy restaurant, 32 floors up The Shard.

Went to East with my boyfriend to celebrate American Thanksgiving (I’m an expat). Wonderful atmosphere, food, and drinks. Our server, Joss, was one of the best parts - not only was he very attentive and kind (he had Happy Thanksgiving written on dessert!) but he reserved us the best seat in the house overlooking the Thames and Tower Bridge after dinner so we could keep enjoying the cocktails and live music. Can’t wait to go back.

They made my birthday absolutely exquisite. Excellent table service and incredible venue (33 floor at The Shard). I recommend the steak, you cannot go wrong with it.

Went on Sunday lunchtime, took 8 people and was a little disappointed, food was OK but not brilliant. Expensive for what you get, two nibbles while looking at the menu £39.00, so not in the Toby Inn range, but the rest OK,what is disappointing is the 13.5 per cent tax they add on as a service charge, in my case 66 pounds extra for serving me. I do not understand why restaurants feel they have a right to charge this when the original bill is large to start with.

You're paying a premium for the view and when you get placed in the middle of the restaurant the view is pretty masked so it's just like any other over priced fancy restaurant. Food was average. Staff were mixed some where really friendly but the woman that took our cloakroom ticket without even acknowledging us or smiling was pretty rude. Theres much better places to go in London!

Great views and great service at the bar. An interesting selection of cocktails, all beautifully presented, though as you might expect very pricey. Unfortunately one thing you get with these sort of prices is your stereotypical city types with more money than manners, all keen to flash as much cash as possible to impress their materialistic dates. But you may be lucky and not bump into too many of them!

Really yummy bottomless afternoon tea, with unlimited refills - brunch punch tasted great! Staff were friendly and attentive, overall a great afternoon tea experience

Had afternoon tea with family. Excellent service with a choice of teas and a selection of finger sandwiches, scones with jam, clotted cream and honey, topped off with petit fours. Have as much as you like and anything left can be packed to take away

So Chic, modern food, amazing view above London.

This evening I took my boyfriend out for his birthday. We went for the tasting menu with wines, and we both agreed that we wouldn't have ordered a few of these dishes, but after trying them now we realise the mistake we would have made. Our waiter, Russel, has a strong knowledge on the dishes and was charming and accommodating. The final course came with a 'Happy Birthday' note which was a beautiful touch and down to him as he was the only know knowing we were celebrating. The sommelier, Sid, (I believe) was also brilliant and knew about the wines in depth, and educated us in wines which again we wouldn't have chosen but complimented the courses perfectly. The service was brilliant and we truly felt cared for and welcomed in the restaurant and I would highly recommend anyone coming here for special occasions. Although some might argue that the prices are dear I believe that it was truly a value meal with the quality of food and service we got. Typically I wouldn't write reviews but I'm so over the moon with the service that I feel it should be noted. Thanks so much, we will definitely be back soon!

Celebrated my 4th wedding anniversary here with my husband. Staff were friendly . Clean areas. Lovely window view seat. Night time is lovely with the London lights. Starter was said that 2 could share but actually was too small for that. Mac and cheese came cold had to ask for a new one which was done without fuss and was hot.
Waiters are sweet and took a photo when asked if they could of us. Waiter known as the Big Sweet One was very friendly. Only thing is took my Deseret order wrong. As I asked for not coffee ice cream but chocolate, as I’m pregnant and I have not been having coffee in my diet due to any caffeine intake. It was fine, I just ate it and it was nice but small attention to detail for someone’s allergies or diet concerns should be met. Overall nice guy and lovely experience at this restaurant. Thank you

It's a shame that you can't grant an extra star to the best places one will ever go to...Oblix reserves at least one without any doubt!
Dining here, with a breathtaking view over London and enjoying haute cuisine was really an experience!
Compliments to all employees and of course the kitchen staff, this night we'll allways remember as one of our best's ever...thank you very much Oblix crew!

The food was amazing, the view was amazing and staff were amazing, all so warm, welcoming and friendly. Had a problem with one waitress but Ash the manager made up for it tenfold. He is amazing at what he does, he knows how to talk to people and to put people at ease. Felt totally put out by this waitress (who is leaving) but Ash was so understanding that he made me feel soo much better. Thank goodness Ash was there or our night would have been ruined by this waitress!
Thank you Ash and the rest of the team who made our night memorable, we had a great time thanks to all of you!
Thank you again,
Natasha Jobsz

Great view in Oblix west and good service. January special deal lunch £45 good. With 13% gratuity and 2 beers to supplement the included glass of sparkling wine and bottled water came out at £62 each.

It's a great place...I've been with my family two months ago and I can confirm again the quality food is over the top and the gentlemen the serve at the place are very professional and kindly. Attention when booked...the arrived time is very important...don't late.

The venue itself is amazing with stunning nighttime views over London. However on Saturday 13th November we were a family party of 6 in Oblix East for dinner and certainly on this occasion felt that the service left a lot to be desired. We were seated promptly - so far so good - but henceforth things deteriorated somewhat. Four of our party shared a starter of 8 crab balls which were rather dry and poorly presented with no hint of any dip or garnish. The other 2 shared a different starter which arrived at the table at least 10-15 minutes after the others had finished theirs. One of my daughters ordered the lobster with a side of French fries for which she requested some mayonnaise. This never appeared. My wife ordered a side dish with her salmon main course which, despite being asked for again and despite being told it was on its way, only appeared when she had finished the salmon. We did complain to the waiter who apologised and brought us some truffles on the house as none of us ordered a desert. The restaurant had a great buzzing atmosphere but seemed far too busy for the waiting staff and those in the kitchen to cope with the orders. Not what we were expecting for a venue with such a good reputation. A final note - according to my wife (who found a member of staff to rectify the situation) the Ladies' toilets had run out of toilet paper half way through the evening. - Perhaps at such a busy time the toilets should have been checked more regularly ? This was a special 40th wedding anniversary family treat and what should have been a fabulous evening was marred by the haphazard arrival of the food in a very expensive restaurant.

I agree with many negative comments on staff, especially hostess being rather unfriendly, the views (at least where we were seated) were not great and the food is top London restaurant prices (think £100 per head if you are planning to have couple of drinks and food).
That being said, the bar staff were nice as was the waitress serving us, the food was also good - we enjoyed the octopus, beetroot salad and truffle flatbread. And the ambience was nice, the vibe was lively and not overly stuffy.
And yes - if you think wearing trainers should not be an issue - this is not a place for you, there are plenty slightly more casual yet nice places nearby.

We ate dinner in the Oblix lounge last night. The service was first class and the food exceeded the very low (after reading so many bad reviews) expectations I had. There was a great, busy atmosphere which we throughly enjoyed. My only criticism is that it was very loud, and it was even harder to hear when the jazz band got warmed up. It's not cheap but I would recommend going. You can only read so many (bad) reviews before you just have to make your own mind up!

Undoubtedly one of my favourite restaurants in London and the UK.
Superb service and ambience. Great food and view.

Best restaurant ever. Amazing outstanding views. Recommended to go for dinner. It is, as expected, expensive but durable if you save some money like my boyfriend and I did. Nice for anniversaries, dates, and especial occasions. Romantic and special.

We had booked for 2030 but arrived half an hour early. We were shown to the bar area while we waited for a table. We ordered drinks and moved toward the window to take a few photos, but were quickly told by a tall dark haired young man (who seemed to be a floor manager) we could only stand at the bar. His English wasn't that good and he came over very abrupt, verging on rude.
After ten minutes the young lady who showed us to the bar returned and showed us to a table, we were assigned a waiter called Alex who was wonderful. He even moved us to a window table for desert. The food was excellent, but the behaviour of the chap in the bar let it down so no five stars.

Food was good. However it didn't have much going for it in terms of atmosphere or interior design.

Nice enough food but very small starters. Long delay between courses. Not amused at 13.5% service charge being added to drinks bought at bar awaiting table. A bit overpriced despite views and location. Very noisy with tables close together.

We had a great meal at Oblix. We had a lovely table next to the window with a view overlooking the city. Service was flawless and the food was really amazing. It's pricey, but worth it. Will definitely be back!

View is stunning..the food the wine is top notch
Have a great time there with friends and family. I will certainly be visiting this place again..but need to save up for another year before I can afford the £74 bottle of Aldos merlot.

Make sure to make a reservation way in advance if you're planning to go for dinner. We went to the bar first for drinks and then went to the restuarant for dinner (this gives you both views from Oblix).
For dinner, we ordered the Lobster Linguine, Crispy Shrimp, Free Range Chicken main course and Pork Ribs. All were delicious and recommended!
