Reviews of SUSHISAMBA Covent Garden
W. G.
One of my go-to restaurants in London, the food is full of flavor, the lychee cocktails are great, the service is great too. The place is decorated very well and just a nice place to have a celebration or meet up with friends and family. The view from the seats near the window are a bonus as well. Will definitely be back. I highly recommend the sea bass if it’s still on the menu.

Absolutely incredible place. First of all, the restaurant and the decorations look amazing and the music was super fun (salsa music!).
What really made our lunch an experience, rather than just a meal, was the quality of food and mostly, the waiters and waitresses. Quick, super friendly and very attentive. When you leave the table for the bathroom, they refold your napkin. As it was my partner's and I anniversary, they even brought out a little dessert on the house.
Staff is always walking around to make sure guests don't have to look for them if they need something. Will definitely come again when in London.

The food is good and the plates look like art. We tried sushi, which is not the original one but we enjoyed the experience. The restaurant is very beautiful: it is divided in 3 section with different styles. Really like it
N. M.
Incredible experience. The restaurant looks fantastic, it makes you happy and astonished (5*). We received a warm and polite welcome (5*). I tried the Samba rolls, they were definitely good, but to be honest for prices and location I expected more than that (4*). The service was apparently good, the waiter was professional, but he was pushing us to get order too much in my opinion, saying that the kitchen were closing.
Well I paid 120£ deposit and I was given the 21:30 slot, so it wasn't my fault at all and I suppose to sit, relax with friends checking the menu and order, If I have to rush I'll to mcdonald (3*)...

Great food, greater service!
Got this place recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint!
Food was great, but the service was even better! They were very attentive, was oftwn at our table and the staff was very positive and outgoing.
We had sushi and grilled meat, sake, mochi and wine and good cocktails. We really enjoyed ourselves and had a great experience!
Highly recommend!👍🏻

Food is incredibly tasty, and the interior design is beautiful. Unfortunately cocktails were nothing too special, it felt more like juices to me..
The waiters were really heavy after we just walk in to take our order so we did order and then he forgot to put our order through and disappeared. We finally got our food after a chat with the managers and they handled the situation with class in the end.
Service charge of 13,5% as well just to let you know.
P. F.
A fantastic night out - the food is incredible and dished up wonderfully. Atmosphere is great and the cocktails were delicious. Service was slightly slow at times but it is a busy restaurant. Bit miffed by the 13.5 % service charge but I suppose these businesses need to recoup losses from COVID closures

Great place in London to eat. The atmosphere was amazing and the restaurant looks very decadent. The food was incredible, some of the best steak I've ever had. The prices are high, but this is justified by the excellent food and services. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended place to visit for a special occasion.
M. M.
This one the best sushi restaurants in town with a great variety of dishes. The plates came out one by one immaculately presented and the food simply melted in your mouth. I felt I was in food heaven. The prices are quite high but very competitive compared with other restaurants in this class and well worth it. The only thing I regret is being too full to enjoy some there tasty deserts :P
S. G.
Took the family here. Nice food. Lovely staff, maybe the menu could be expanded slightly? Cocktails were delish! Would recommend and go back again. 👍

Our Italian waiter Derek Co was attentive, knowledgeable and a really pleasant chap. He is a great ambassador for your brand and took great care of us. I was really delighted to have all of my requests met and got the table by the window i asked for and the beautiful finishing touch was the dessert plate with happy Anniversary written on it. it made our day, great attention to detail. The food was very nice too. Thank you to all the wonderful team who took such good care of us. we will be back. The only negative I would say is I wanted to leave Derek a credit card tip over and beyond the service charge for him and I didn’t have the option to do so, this should be a customer choice and not that of the venue. Please reinstate credit card tips to reward your hard working team as much as they deserve. Other than that wonderful!

Great location. Perfect place to stop for some nice food and drinks whilst in Covent Garden.
In the sun its good to sit outside but personally prefer being upstairs inside.
S. M.
I LOVED this place. I honestly didn't know what to expect, Japanese/Mexican/Peruvian fusion isn't easy to picture after all, but wow. Just wow.
As a gold cheap-oh , when I spend £70/80 (per person) at a restaurant I come out thinking "it's good, but not sure it's worth it". My only thought yesterday was "I'll be back" (Not necessarily in Arnold's voice)
The seviche and the shishito peppers were great, but it's the yellowtail taquitos you will be dreaming of for days. They were so good we ordered them twice. I didn't get to try any of the nigiris, but the rolls were delicious.
Book days in advance. The place was packed on a Wednesday! And make sure to go after you book: they require a non-refundable deposit.

I have been to both Sushi Samba locations - the vibe at each one is ever so slightly different. Both are good! The Covent Garden one of course does not have the same views as the other one, however the food is still delicious. Highly recommend the Seabass and the Green Beans Tempura with truffle aioli.
F. B.
Lovely place, the decoration is beautiful and the food is excellent. Great service as well. Recommended!
D. C.
The food was kind of overrated. The mushroom dish is really really salty. Maybe because I’m vegetarian and sushi isn’t really something that caters to me. But my friends enjoyed the sushi and other non-veggie dishes.
I. T.
Exquisite. The very best plant based selection. Super impressed with the service and attention to detail. Venue was plush and service was excellent. Highly recommend if you're vegan or plant based.
K. B.
Amazing food, amazing service from every memeber of staff that helped us and lively ambience. Had a great time here, pricey but worth it! I made a mistake and booked my table for the wrong day, but the staff on the phone was lovely and helpful enough to change it for me. We were even late on the day due to train delays and they pushed our table reservation back for us. So happy with my overall experience.
H. R.
Outstanding venue!!! This is an expensive place to eat out but the coat is justified by the absolutely beautiful venue, faultless service and incredible food and drinks. This is a MUST visit restaurant particularly for a special occasion. Particular credit goes to Jorje the bars manager and the GM who made our visit extra special but I genuinely couldn't fault the experience on any level!
A. G.
First time in the Covent Garden restaurant. Vibrant ambience, beautiful scenery. Food is super good, different tastes and best service. It’s always a pleasure eating at Sushisamba. Thank you.
H. Y.
Service was the high point for our dining experience. Compliments to Agirrezabal who took the effort to explain the menu and to recommend her favourites, and generally made us feel welcomed and comfortable. Very cute how the entrance is slightly hidden too, with stairs going up to the dining room on the first floor.
Started with the shrimp tempura and toro. Toro was melt-in-your-mouth amazing, with the most explosive yuzu dressing and subtle hints of black truffle. Was so disappointed when I came to the end of our 4 pieces, good things really do never last. Shrimp tempura was more substantial, coming in a medium bowl. The mixture of the spicy mayo and black truffle vinaigrette was somewhat suspect though, with the result being a slightly cloying sour mayo missing the spicy and black truffle portion.
For mains we had the churrasco rio grande and an El Topo sushi roll. The roll was served was which really enhanced the melted cheese, and the crispy shallots really added another dimension to the dish. Eel sauce was slightly overpoured on one end, resulting in it overpowering the rest of the flavours so do watch out for that and maybe scrape some off if it seems too much. The churrasco was served with the three meats on a sizzling hot plate, and the sides and chimichurri in 3 small pots. Quality of the meats were exquisite, and we both loved the sauce. If I had to pick on something, the accompanying sautéed vegetables were oversalted and the black beans and farofa mix undersalted.
Food quantity was enough for the 2 of us, and we left feeling full. Total damage was just about £100.

One of the best Japanese fusion restaurants in London! As Japanese, I usually don't have high expectation on Japanese or Japanese fusion restaurants in London but this one is much beyond the expectation and definitely a must-go. The food was unique and delish (We loved prawn tempra and wagyu gyoza). The staff were all very welcoming and caring. The venue has got pleasant atmosphere with lighting and stylish interior. Definitely coming back to this restaurant again soon!
A.
Came here for a birthday. Fabulous service from Rebecca really helpful in choosing dishes, especially as we had an allergy. Food was beautifully presented and delicious.
Fully recommend the food and cocktails.
J. C.
Great vibes in Covent Garden! Fresh fish and ceviche. One of the best pisco sours I’ve ever had! Samba rolls were okay. Mochi dessert was fairly good.
J.
Lovely tasting food!
The teriyaki chicken and black cod were so soft and just melted in the mouth!
Zen garden dessert is something of an experience! Tasted like a lemon cheesecake once all mixed together!
El Toro sushi roll is not spicy. Even tho on menu it says jalapenos is in it.
S. M.
Amazing food, amazing place, nice employees. Gorgeous location. Super recommend! Dessert menu could be better
K. G.
It was OK, service was good, food could have been better for the price, good presentation but taste was lower than average. Summary: good for a day out, if you are coming for good food, maybe consider elsewhere.
J. F.
I could eat this sushi everyday. Had toro tiradito, tuna ceviche and a few rolls - loved it all. Ingredients are fresh and the combination of texture, flavour and looks is just perfect. Highly recommend it. Cocktails were nice as well.

Review:
Egamberdi, the server for my table, was really helpful to recommend and to help me choose the menu for the night. It was a really pleasant night to be able to go Sushi Samba (Covent Garden branch). I did not expect the night to be very well. Usually, most of the expensive restaurants in London are terrible not gonna lie – meaning that pricey does not mean good food. Nevertheless, Sushi Samba really impressed with its fushion food even though I am the person who is really hard to impress. I do not normally give even 4 stars rating. Sushi Samba really deserves it though. For the price, I got the taste and the quality of the food and the vibe of the restaurant. This is definitely a to go place in London. If you are in London, do not hesitate to come and try this place as this is very recommended. I hope this review helps you to find the restaurant that suits you best while you are in London. I will definitely come back again in near time. Cheers! Thank you for the wonderful evening Sushi Samba Covent Garden
P.S. Lovely view from the terrace though.
A. J.
Good location and tasty food. Some of the food wasn't quite to our taste and the service a bit brisk at points in time. However, we had a good evening and enjoyed the atmosphere.
P. W.
We had a wonderful time at SUSHISAMBA Covent Garden. It all started with the entryway art - super cool graffiti and a sweeping staircase. Then we were asked right away who in our party had an allergy we had specified when booking. For the rest of the time we were there our allergic friend was incredibly well taken care of with ingredients specified and special care taken with utensils and plates.
The service was also otherwise top notch as we never wanted for anything. Even when joking about wanting forks for our inexperienced hands a minute later forks quietly appeared at the table.
And even BETTER the food is absolutely divine.
Thank you so much for this great experience to the team at SUSHISAMBA Covent Garden.
K. B.
Very good dining experience. The fusion of flavours from South America and Japan are unique and work extremely well.
The staff are amazing, the food came out quick and it was as delicious as it was amazingly presented.
Highly recommend the El Topo and the Lychee&Lemongrass drink.
T. A.
Amazing food, great atmosphere. Delicious. Fantastic deserts! Great views over Covent Garden.
M. Y.
It’s a really lovely place! The service is great and the sushi is magnificent. The price is alright. Strong 5⭐️

Visited sushisamba on a Saturday afternoon with my wife and 2 children (4 & 8). They did not have a children's menu and I did notice no other children there, but saying that we was made to feel welcome and the food was amazing.
A. B.
Fantastic variety of dishes. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff were very attentive. I am usually a nervous fish eater but I had no issues here. Great selection of puddings and also drinks (hot and cold). We were well spaced out and the restaurant was a perfect temperature, which I find important whilst eating and drinking.
A. C.
Perfection from start to finish! Great food and service a must try for anyone wanting to experience a variety of options and flavours.
L. W.
Such a treat, excellent decor and atmosphere fantastic sushi and amazing cocktails. Highly recommended
O. C.
Great sushi with a really nice atmosphere. Good sushi options as well as non sushi options on the menu. Would recommend the shrimp tempura and sushi rolls. Lovely atmosphere and good cocktails too! Did ask for the dessert menu but that never came so went without. Overall great experience.
Z. H.
Food was unbelievable! The whole team loved it, was a super fun night with the incredible dancers and awesome DJ. I've had to order a bottle of cachaça as those Caipirinha's were too good. We're definitely coming back as soon as possible!
Z. B.
Great ambiance. Amazing location. Good food - tacos were delicious!
R. S.
Amazing food and great drinks for our celebratory meal. Easily one of the best alfresco dining experiences in the stunning setting of Covent Garden. Had great service and staff were really kind and accommodating when we asked to switch tables to under the heaters and parasols near the bar.
Would recommend the Piazza terrace seating (where we sat) but will definitely come back to see what the balcony is like! The interior is also lovely, so when that opens up it will be a treat. We had the samba covent garden, tiger and veggie maki samba rolls along with the robata poussin. Would 100% recommend the chocolate banana cake with maple butter, vanilla rum ice cream and plantain chip.
l. h.
Amazing food great service and fantastic atmosphere i will be back soon... I've been to many Sushi but I can say this is one of the best food I have experienced. Thanks to alm the staff for welcoming us.
A. M.
Food is fantastic, well presented. The restaurant has a great ambience and layout. Only downside is that although the staff are very friendly, the service is a little slow, which is clearly down to not enough staff available (which does seem to be at most restaurants these days in London). Otherwise a great spot for dinner.
g.
Very Clean. The open kitchens looked calm and the chefs were smiling and relaxed. Loads of front of house staff all very efficient. A seamless experience from the front door to food service. Some of the best cocktails I've had all with a new twist. The samba Salad was amazing, like a painting on a plate.
P. F.
Fantastic experience! Very attentive service, nice vibes! We had the lunch in the new terrace they just opened.
Perfect spot to enjoy some nice cocktails and delicious sushi. Thank you to Roxana for looking after us! We will definitely come back!
L.
Truly excellent dining experience. Nothing more to say really- being a group that has visited London's most acclaimed restaurants, we had a high expectation that was absolutely surpassed in Sushisamba.
Usually, I would write of standout dishes but every dish we were served in this restaurant was absolutely fantastic. The sushi was incredible- although the one criticism I would offer is to make it clearer that nigiri is by default prepared with wasabi. However, the textures presented by the wide range of proteins for the nigiri and sashimi were distinct and amazing. Although not sampling a range of sushi rolls, if the Sushisamba signature roll is anything to go by, they are of top standard. The presentation, textures and range of flavours this roll offered was most delightful.
For larger plates, the kobe beef is mind-blowing. This was the first time our group had tried this meat and it was truly the best beef any of us have ever tried. Even the non-meat enjoyer of our group loved it.
The mixed seafood curry with chimichuri rice was most definitely cooked fresh. The seafood was of excellent quality and melted in the mouth. Sushisamba's excellent fusion techniques were most evident in this dish.
Drinks were all good, especially the Kobe whiskey cocktail which had a nicely rounded, smooth flavour. I also loved the glass it was presented in and the stamped cube of clear ice.
Service was exceptional- friendly, talkative and providing a lovely touch in a birthday candle in our desserts (which were delicious, especially the chocolate banana cake) and the kitchen provided a lovely Happy Birthday message written in white chocolate.
A truly amazing restaurant experience!
J. M.
The food was amazing, service was a bit slow but they rectified by giving us a dessert on the house
T. F.
Went here for a birthday dinner which didn’t disappoint. The fusion sushi really is a melting pot of flavours. The only downside is for the portion sizes that you get the price isn’t great value for money. Service was attentive but at times it did feel like the staff were watching us eat as they probably had more staff than necessary at that time. Overall a good experience
P. I.
Awesome place to eat. The 'waygu' gyoza might be a gimmick, but it's a tasty gimmick.
M. C.
It's a lovely place where you can spend time and eat amazing food. Cocktails are very tasty and good, once you try the food in here you won't eat nothing else.
The restaurant it's lovely and cozy.

Beauty of the restaurant: *****

We had the table booked for 9:30 pm and the kitchen closed shortly after. This resulted in the waiter rushing us all the time and he only made us order once because the kitchen had to close. Don't book tables at 9 or 10pm if you can't be hospitable.
R. J.
You get what you pay for: lush atmosphere, great customer service, and outstandingly instagrammable food and cocktails! Though tbh the taste was a bit mediocre and overpriced, plus the place was loud, crowded and no social distance being exercised.
*TIP: Go somewhere else if you want a quiet dinner; stay if you want to see and be seen
S. S.
Good was perfectly cooked, given in perfect time. Amazing staff and service.. and the location was amazing! Spent valentines here and can say it was the perfect place ♡
J. P.
Absolutely love this place. Such amazing sushi and great cocktails. I'm coeliac and the gluten free menu at places like this often disappoints but in this case you will leave very happy. Try the tiraditos and the crab temaki both were out of this world.
L. K.
Environment is very nice. The Food was good.
Just disappointed from the dessert...I ordered mochi and they gave me the ones you can buy from supermarket or itsu with some decoration...not quite what you expected for the price they charge and for the level of the restaurant.
L. C.
Fantastic restaurant if you like Sushi! Right in the heart of Covent garden with good views. The menu was abit baffling as we'd never eaten sushi before, but the waitress was excellent in explaining everything and she was very helpful. The food was amazing! Beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The decor was stunning also. A great place for couples, groups and families. I will definitely dine here again. The whole dining experience was faultless!
M. P.
It isn’t cheap, but this place is an absolute must. I was expecting it to be overrated, but food is ABSOLUTELY delicious with unique flavours that make your experience memorable to say the least. Service was friendly and very attentive. Loved it so much that I’ve booked to go back next week!
E.
Beautiful place, rather loud but that was to be expected. The staff were extremely friendly and professional, but the most memorable part was the food. The rib-eye was cooked to perfection, and the convent garden sushi has made it to my #1 favourite sushi, and I've had a lot of different sushi. The drinks were lovely too. I would definitely come back!
S. S.
I did not expect to be giving this place a 5 star review, but here I am nonetheless. The last time I dined at this restaurant was 6 years ago, and I do not remember the experience being particularly great. However, I was pleasantly surprised this time. Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by the friendly staff, which guided me to a table upstairs. The ambience of this restaurant, in my opinion, is much better than the Heron Tower location, with flora all around and generally a nice vibe. We glanced at the menu and decided to get an assortment of items, including the Lobster Taquitos, Churrasco Rio Grande, Ebi Nigiri, and Vegetable Rolls. The Lobster Taquitos we're definitely the biggest gamble, as they were 22 quid, so I was unsure about what to expect. One by one, the items came out. First was the vegetable roll. It was quite simple, with a few vegetables and rice in a roll shape, and soy sauce on the side, but delicious nonetheless. The Ebi Nigiri was next, and quite good as well. Pieces of shrimp with rice below and a small piece of wasabi in between, just enough for a slight kick. Then came the Lobster Taquitos, which looked a bit bizarre. I took a bite and it was one of the greatest things that had ever graced the presence of my mouth. I was quite sad when, after another bite, my portion of it was gone. The Churrasco was the main dish. It came with these types of meat, chorizo, ribeye, and filet, with 2 types of chimmichurri, and farofa + beans on the side. The meat was cooked to perfection, and the seasonings complemented it quite well. For dessert we opted to get the chocolate banana cake, which wasn't quite good. The rum gave it a sour flavor. Altogether, a great restaurant with great service, ambience, and food quality. You should definitely visit, you will not regret it!
T. T.
Okay so - great location and smashing decor BUT for the money I’d expect a better experience. We booked for 8 on the terrace as we wanted to eat outside. With no warning or explanation they moved us inside. I suspect staff shortages were the reason. The weather was dry. I would have expected a call to run that by me as I had paid a £400 deposit so not impressed. Service friendly enough but super slow on a Tuesday night. Ambience buzzy and very loud. Cocktails nice, some of the food good, some not so good - aubergine and pork belly skewers were mediocre based on the cost. £150 for 2 of us and only one cocktail each included and one of us a vegetarian - so overall pleasant but not as good as the hype.
L. W.
The bar staff were sha-mazing and made our group of 4 feel very welcome. The cocktails are just the best. Thank you for a fantastic afternoon guys this place is highly recommended 🍸🍹🥂
S. A.
Great atmosphere, food, and drinks. Good, very friendly service as well. The octopus, and Kobe sashimi were especially fantastic. Neo-Tokyo rolls are a must try. Great experience overall.
E. C.
The meals have been one of the most delicious things I have ever had. They care more about quality than quantity as the meals are not big or very filling (it was 6 different dishes with dessert included, shared between two) but when I tell you that you could taste the freshness in the raw fish, vegetables and drinks... every pound spent was worth it. The service is absolutely fabulous, the location is very nice, ventilated but not cold, naturally well lit and the music is loud enough that you can hear it clearly but still maintain a conversation without having to scream. It was surely expensive but definitely a place to come back as the cocktails as well the dishes were fantastic! =)
G. F.
Really good facilities including a pool and sauna. Very helpful friendly staff. Great rooms, comfy beds. All very modern, clean and smart. Good breakfast
M. L.
Awesome food, great setting. Can't beat it
C. W.
The variety of food was amazing. As well as their attentive service, the atmosphere was wonderful. I had no problems at this restaurant. And i will definitely come back!
D. C.
Great place to visit when in London. The food were great and delicious, love it so much. The interior design and decoration were amazing, can’t describe more but literally wow! The service were great and friendly, very attentive. Definitely will come back again and again.
C. H.
Amazing food, incredible service and fabulous experience! Thank you so much!!
A.
Even as a vegetarian in a Sushi restaurant, I felt there was enough choice. But what impressed me most was how creative and well put together the food and desserts were. Great ambiance and service. Will surely return!
Ps: amazing cocktails too! Loved the Monkey Shoulder Old Fashioned!!
A. C.
A very friendly welcoming place. All personnel were very well trained and helpful (all done with a smile). Everything was handled with efficiency and attention to every detail was given. Food was delicious, we had veggie Maki, salmon roll, crab rolls, prawns tempura, the atmosphere was wonderful while dining. Thanks for doing such an outstanding job to make the whole experience so enjoyable.
T. F. T.
Was skeptical to try this place because it’s a fusion place (Peruvian, Brazilian and Japanese) we love all those three separately but we haven’t really had them all in one cuisine. Sushisamba did not disappoint! Service was a little bit slow but they were also busy so it’s understandable.
Food were amazing, from sushis to tacos to nigiris to sashimis and beef buns and the cocktails are amazing too! See photos for reference.
O. V.
Love love love! Incredible setting, atmosphere and food. The service was 10/10 impeccable, wait staff cannot do enough for you. Definitely felt like a fine dining experience! Obviously prices are pretty steep, but the quality and presentation of the food was definitely reflective. They also surprised me with a birthday dessert! Will return.
E. L.
The best sushi and Japanese food I ever had. The eel was amazing, California roll, exquisite. The Uni, sea orchid, was like a meaty strange ocean cream. The place is beautiful, great view.
The service was messy. Seconds came first, and soup and salad after mains where done. Why? Also, we paid cash, and waited 10 minutes for the change, which was obnoxious and annoying.
T. S.
Nice atmosphere and choice in menu. They do check for allergies when ordering. Be warned its pricey and not much served for amount ordered. But worth going if a treat if your on a budget. They have cloakroom service and staff are very friendly and know the menu well.
G. C.
The food is of a great standard and the service is good too. The ambience was good despite tables being spread out far apart. It is expensive so would recommend for special occasions or business dinners.
C.
Came in to celebrate finish the LLHM. As usual the food is still of a very high quality and we enjoyed our lunch
J. H.
A solid 5 stars from me, I can't fault this amazing restaurant. The staff are attentive and helpful without been overly present. The cocktails are delicious and you can see the car and attention to detail. The food is sublime with flavors so vivid you will actually say 'wow'. Yes it can be pricy but as a treat this is a perfect venue to enjoy some great food and drink, recommended.
G. S.
Great service. Active restaurant yet easy to have a conversation with my friend. The yellow tail toquitos were the best - highly recommend. Three sushi rolls, two starters, one bottle of wine GBP120. Very good sushi!
H. M. A. B.
Top quality food and nice place to enjoy some food while on a shopping spree. Efficient service. Best thing to order is probably their Sushi’s. The taste was really out of this world. Great experience and not being rushed out. I'll be back soon !
P. R.
Everything was delicious. About the best sushi I've ever had, creative combinations, but with traditional flavors. Loved the ceviche and the taquitos as well, amazing with a Japanese touch. Fabulous location right on Covent Garden.
M. D. s.
Great atmosphere, exuberant tropical decor and fun and flirtatious service. Dishes are colourful, well presented and tasty. Perfect venue to pop by for drinks, some nibbles or a full meal either as a couple or group. Expect SUSHISAMBA prices though! Highly recommended...
O. P.
Second time at SUSHISAMBA, but first time at Camden Market. Quite a bit noisy, because its quite huge inside. We had a table directly in front of the open kitchen (nice to watch at, but every view minutes the call " service" is a bit annoying. Could be solved better. But we were there for dinner. And that was again delicious. Exploring the variety of the menu, ordering some dishes, enjoying them with there different tastes, spices, and looking forward to the next course. Until, unfortunately, you are full. Always a great experience with great food. Thanks.

Nice venue and good service. Vegan options were available, but we're really lacking in interest and creativity: each of the three vegan maki rolls only had a single ingredient! Cocktail list read well, but drinks were small and seemed overpriced compared to other eateries and bars in Covent Garden.
K.
Really good food (small portions) and excellent service, as well as good setting vibes. However I have to mention for a five star food and service restaurant putting a cooperative receptionist is crucial, ill be honest there were some good ones. But unfortunately I got in contact with a rude one, I asked for a booking around 4 pm he insisted in a rude way that there is noway I can find a reservation today until 11pm even if I come by walk in. Even though his colleague tried to assist me but he was stiff with his communication so I thought his colleague didnt want to embarrass him. The ironic and frustrating part is that when I called by phone to make a reservation at the same branch and day I found one by 4:30 pm, hmm.

Lovely experience, nice deco, upper lever dining with a balcony for a 2ppl table to eat with a covent garden view. Menu is interesting and is a fusion cuisine of Japan e Peru blend.
Nice selection of wine and cocktails 😃 always a good thing!! Service is really good and friendly, now more than ever they doing there best with this covid19 problem. Sanitising hand gel at entrance , everyone is wearing masks.
Easy access with underground, bus or cab.
M. L.
Very good sushi and fish platters! The restaurant is very well decorated so the environment is very pleasant and nice to dine in.
Social distancing rules in place seem adequate, they did a really good job with it!
J. G.
Tasty food but ridiculously overpriced, beautifully presented, small portions so you have to order a lot to feel full. None of the dessert wines we wanted were available but they would not open a bottle that they don't usually sell by the glass which was disappointing. Many other similar style restaurants in London which won't make you feel slightly taken advantage of.
Service was friendly but disappointing and not professional, and most seemed inexperienced. Again, the prices are very high and I expect service to match this. Examples - not filling up water glasses and not leaving a bottle on the table to do it ourselves, plonking a dish just on top of the menu without moving it first, taking napkins away but not replacing, leaving dirty spoons, almost charging completely the wrong price on my card for the bill, generally hanging around at the periphery chatting to each other.
Attractive 'instagrammable' decor which was lovely and I'm sure is beautiful at night.
Far, far better restaurants within metres of here.
P. A.
Great modern sushi place! The sushi is definitely very fusion but, if that works for you, then you will find that absolutely everything is delicious and the ingredients are great and super well balanced! The ambience is super cool so it is great place for date night or hang with friends!
A. H.
Amazing restaurant. Service was great and the staff very helpful and friendly. Presentation was fantastic. Not cheap place to eat but the food was delicious so we didn’t mind the cost. It’s a very busy restaurant so if possible book a table in advance.
N.
Beautiful Nikkei style restaurant in the heart of Covent Garden! The decor is a stunner, and the service is great. It feels like you've entered a tropical rainforest as soon as you step into the restaurant. The food is pretty good and the drinks are absolutely delicious! Definitely make a reservation as the place gets pretty crowded.
H. H.
Perfect service from all of the staff - starting from reception , then going to Stefano and the other waiters , expidaters and management which served me . You have a realy nice team , and realy good vibes around and inside the place. If I could give 10 stars , I will do it.
K. K.
Their Heron Tower venue has been a firm favourite of mine since it first opened its doors 7 years ago and I always take my clients there when they're in town. Since I hadn't yet tried the new Covent Garden location, I thought I'd see what it was all about. Whilst the decor and ambiance is very cool and upmarket, the whole experience feels a lot less premium than their original venue. The menu is a cut down version of their original but all your favourites are still there. The only thing that lets it down is the service, there were items forgotten from our order and inattentive staff who carried on personal conversations amongst themselves when they should have been tending to their patrons. The other venue suffers the same faults so maybe it's a training issue, either way the food is still consistently excellent, proving that the kitchen staff are still top knotch. Great venue for a date and still highly recommended

We went there as a smaller group one evening, and came back as a larger group the next. We bumped into this place by accident, and boy were we happy because of it.
Not wanting to overthink the menu, because it's quite large, we decided to have whatever the server wanted us to. The staff ended up bringing plates upon plates of delicious food, and we just couldn't have enough. Every bit of food we had here was cooked to perfection and incredibly tasty, with special mentions going to tuna ceviche, great sausage and meat combo on a hot stone, as well as very tasty gyozas and sushi.
It was exquisite, and I will be coming back again.
A. P.
The environment and the service was exceptional! It is a fusion between Japanese, Brazil, and Peru! We loved it here! The food was amazing! We decided to get the preset 3 course menu because that was the best deal for us to try what the place offers (also a drink each). Having said that, it was a bit pricy, about £44 each for all 3 of us, BUT to have food prepared for you in this elegant way and to have fresh ingredients that you can actually identify does make the cost worth it. I mean, we do eat with our eyes! So I do not have any negativity toward this place. In fact, I would 100% go again and recommend it to others!
What we ate that came to our table:
- Plantain chips (appetizer)
- Seviche / Short Rib Gyoza (small plate)
- El Topo (sushi roll)
- Banana Cake w/ vanilla ice cream(dessert)
My only comment is that the dessert had way too much caramel that soaked into the banana bread (I wasn’t aware it came with caramel, I didn’t see that on the menu, not sure if I missed that) and I felt like I could taste vanilla extract in the ice cream. Aside from this, everything tasted GREAT! Thank you so much for a great experience!

I've been a SushiSamba lover for over 4 years and frequented SushiSamba in London City at least once every 2-3 months. I was super excited to try their new branch in Covent Garden. In my usual fashion, I always give a restaurant 2 visits before I write a review.
The food was good; sushi and fish quality were high, everything was flavorful and a few of their menu additions were quite nice (for example their Covent Garden maki roll).
The service is where they fell short. On my most recent visit 2 nights ago, there was a que, with a bouncer, that went all the way down their staircase- all because they couldn't manage coat check and walking people to their tables fast enough. It was as if I was waiting in a que for a night club. NB I had a booking for dinner so I was not waiting for seats at the bar. Upon finally arriving to the hostesses, I gave my name and booking- one hostess fumbled with our coats while the other looked for my booking with a look of attitude on her face- when she found my booking the first thing she says to me is "your dinner slot is up at 10pm, we will need the table back by then". I replied noting that A-my slot should be up at 10:15pm as I have a booking from 8:15, and B-they wasted 15 minutes of my dinner booking time with their coat mismanagement, to which she had no real response. Finally after being seated at our table, dinner went by relatively well with no issues in regards to the food being served. At around 10pm a waiter or manager, comes by our table and picks up our napkins after we had finished dinner-im assuming this was a gesture done to remind us that we should be leaving soon despite there being at least 6 empty tables around me of similar size to mine.
Bottom line is despite the funky cool decor and interesting food, the service fell short twice- and for a restaurant that isn't on the cheaper end of the scale- that's not acceptable.
F. N.
I loved the place. It was my first time but highly recommended. Thanks for the fantastic service from the waiter/waitress. We had a great dinner with delicious sushi's and cocktails. Thank you
N. M.
Awesome sushi place. Everything was perfect. The service, from reception to table, the place, decoration, atmosphere. Everybody was super nice, one of the greatest service I have had in a restaurant. Food is great, tasty, different. Totally worth the price.
O. B.
On the whole a very nice place. Visited on a Saturday night. Food was excellent and there was a real buzz about the place.
What let's it down for us was the service. First off the server took an age between taking our drinks order and coming back for the food order and then proceeded to tell us that most of what we wanted was off the menu while also giving the impression that it was our fault for not knowing. Second if you are going to insist on taking the wine away from the table to keep it cool then you need to be attentive to when the glasses need to be topped up. And not sigh everytime you do it.
I get we may have got somebody on a bad day etc and most likely will try it again at some point but for now 3 out of 5.
R. G.
What a place. I took my wife here for here birthday and I would happily take her back every year from now onwards. The place looked great. The staff were fantastic - so helpful and really knew their stuff. And the food just wow!! Yes it wasnt the cheapest meal that I have ever had but it was by far worth it. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone. Thank you SUSHISAMBA
L. A.
Small portions very pricey but it was so good not gonna lie. The prawns and salmon I loved the most.
Workers are so nice and helpfull, the scenery is just beautiful with the plants everywhere.
A. A.
We love the upscale vibe and the ambience here! It was like walking into a tropical forest! The food is high quality and the dishes look beautiful! Downside is that it is quite pricey and you don’t get a lot of food. A must try if you’re visiting London.
S. N.
Japanese food has always been one of my favourite food. So when my friend and I decided to go for Sushisamba, I was completely delighted.
So you need to have a prior reservation else its impossible to get a table as a walk in customer, as this restaurant is so busy.
I really liked the contemporary interior of this restaurant, especially the glass roof letting natural light pass through it.
The food was an absolute delight prawns tempura, salmon sushi, tacos. The flavours were so wonderful and delicate.
Sushisamba is comparatively expensive but I feel it's worth it.
Will definitely go back again ...
F. B.
Amazinggggg food and the service is so polite and enjoyable!
Tried a range of dishes all of which delivered.
Thank you to everyone there for making it a great experience
I highly recommend!
O. H.
Nice interior and tasty dishes. I personally liked their desert the name of which I happened to forget. It's something similar to "Rainy forest"
C. H.
Food was great and service was good.
The only reason I can't say it was a five was because I went in alone and got some serious judgement from the host downstairs. It seemed as though he had never heard of someone eating alone which is very ironic because they have a sushi bar for solo diners upstairs. Otherwise the experience was good.
S. B.
Went in for a cocktail with my partner, came out 3 hrs later
The service was second to none, we was really looked after by everyone.
You can see how well the staff want to make everyone feel special and looked after from the moment you arrive till you leave.
Great place.
Thank you.
S. J.
Great environment, nice staff and wonderful food. All with a lovely outlook over Covent Garden. Would recommend for anyone looking for good food and while away sometime before hitting the shops again.
N. S.
They always make us feel special when we go to SushiSumba Covent Garden. It’s a little more quiet than Heron Tower just the way we love it.
O. S.
Visited the Covent garden branch.
Located in the main plaza on the first floor.
It is quite large with views overlooking covent garden.
Nice ambiance.
They offer a wide variety of Sake and Cocktails.
A little expensive but certainly worth a visit.
M. K.
Great place to eat. Especially during the scheme. All the food are well presented and innovative. Compliment to the chef. It is also very tasty. The servers are very helpful and give great suggestions.
D. K.
Had an amazing time eating at this place since staffs were very helpful and friendly, food was on point, and most importantly location was perfect looking around Convent Garden while eating variety Japanese cuisine! Give it a try!
E.
Best restaurant, highly recommended
L. P.
Fabulous delicious food. Expensive but probably worth it. 4 stars because we pre booked, and they sat us on the furthest table away from all the atmosphere and the cool decor, which is why you would want to go. And I didnt understand this. Perhaps didnt like they way we looked haha
B.
Great food and really cool atmosphere, but prices too high for what you get. Each dish is very small - almost bitesize - for ~12-15 gbp and you’re recommended to have about 2-3 per person.
A. L.
Amazing location and fabulous food. Great venue for a celebration. Sit by the sushi counter if dining alone or as a pair.
R. B.
Amazing Amazing Amazing. Arrived early so had a few drinks at the bar, shout out to the bar manager who we chatted to for ages! Sambatini cocktail was amazing. The vibe is great. The food was spectacular, every single bite was amazing and I am so sad there is no Sushisamba up north! Will 100% be back next time in London. Highly recommend.
M. P.
The service was great and the decor and atmosphere are fantastic. But the food was quite mediocre, cocktails looked lovely but tasted blah. The Liverpool Street location has much better food quality.
A. P.
Fantastic decor, fabulous food and faultless service. Would highly recommend the pork belly robata. Maddie, our server, was the perfect level of attentive.
R. W.
Below than the expexted overall.
Service was way below the stadards by our waitress, she seemed to be bothered whilst talking the order and not even a bit attentive. Service could improve lots, in special by this waitress (can't remember the name)
Nice presentation of dishes but avarage in taste, they are not worth the prices though. I don't mind to pay a fair/a bit overpriced dish if it is worthy in taste and portion... But this was not the case.
Good things were the ambient in general and it's a nice venue.
M. A.
I love it , the staff very kind specially Joody 🤍
S. G.
Sushi Samba is a place that I highly recommend. From the beginning Jorge P welcomed us very politely and sat us at the best table, also recommended what to eat and what cocktail to go for (depending on your taste) The food is incredible we had a taste of the Aperitivos surprisingly they were delicious as I don't like the green beans nor the edamame, the cocktails felt so fresh fruity just right on the spot. This place is a MUST
O. G.
Awesome! Great location, service was fantastic and the food was delicious. A few things on the menu looked very expensive, but you can easily have cocktails and 4/5 dishes for less than ££££. All in all a great place to go for dinner
A. P.
While the 850-square-metre interior is expansive and eclectic, the non-alcoholic cocktails outstanding and the service excellent, the food was a true disappointment. While regarded as a top destination for Brazilian Peruvian Japanese cusine every dish ordered was oily including the Shrimp Tempura (£15), Poussin Teriyaki (£17) and Churrasco Rio Grande (£48). Having lived in South America for many years the churrasco was a let down including the chimichuri sauce which tasted and looked like pea soup. The dessert, Welcome to the Rain Forest, offered an interesting mix of textures and flavours.
My point of comparison food wise for SushiSamba is Chotto Matte which also specializes in upscale Japanese Peruvian food.
While enchanted by the interior occupying the famed Opera Terrace within Covent Garden’s historic Grade II listed Market Building, we left SushiSamba hungry and wondering why we paid £140 for food we would not recommend to anyone.
R. L.
Went here as a group of 5 for a light lunch snack so we ordered a few dishes to share amongst us. The food was very delicious, my favourite was called El Toro I think, it was a salmon sushi roll with mozzarella and other ingredients!
They are quite strict with timing here since it is a popular spot. You will have 1.5 hours to have your meal, and they will constantly remind you of this during the meal too.
Venue is really aesthetic and Instagram worthy.
N. C.
I went there with my work colleagues and everything was lovely . The place is stunning , the food is exquisite and fresh . The staff are lovely and Jorge gave us an excellent customer service .
t. b.
Great service, delicious dishes. Servers and sommelier well versed in the menu. Black cod dish melted in the mouth. Mozzarella sushi! We had 2 portions.
Will definitely return.
P. T. N.
Amazing atmosphere inside but there's stairs if your disabled however there is seating outside but not sure about heat lamps in winter. Great tasting sushi all done fresh to order and a good selection of drinks unless you drink beer (think they only do Japanese beer) X
A. J.
Absolutely stunning place. Covent Garden on the whole was magical especially in the evening.
B. g. A.
Delicious 🤤 food 🥘 nice place
A. H.
Great food, overpriced, excellent music, but too loud to have a conversation. It felt like you're eating in a nightclub.
R. P.
Food was great as usual but such a busy place was clearly understaffed at the peak of the evening. Also wine and whisky needs restocking. It would be understandable for the frequently used options.
R. K.
Great as are all sushisambas, however I prefer the Liverpool st one because of the views and all-round better vibe.
L. W.
Amazing service, food and atmosphere! We had dinner here for a friends Birthday and it did not disappoint 🍣
E. K. J.
It is good. A bit expensive for what it is but done with some modern techniques. Had toro starter, soft shell crab, and some favourite nigiri. The rain forrest desert was well received by my hubz. I had mochi ice cream
K. M.
I visited on Monday and contacted via email beforehand as on your website, it said that the pre theatre menu wasn't available. When I booked, two weeks prior, it was available. Someone called me back and explained that the pre theatre offer would be honoured as i booked it in advance.
On arrival, I was told that the black cod and steak were not available. These were the two options I was planning to choose.
I couldn't cancel the table as you had already taken the £40 deposit from my account.
This left limited options available, most of which, included foods that either my boyfriend was allergic to, or were not our preferences.
The maitre'd had explained that we could still order off the a la carte menu, but our reason for the pretheatre menu was because the a la carte is out of my price range.
Once we were seated, the waiter told me that we could have the complimentary champagne that came with the pretheatre menu - but only if we ordered off of that menu.
The food was good overall.
Half way through eating, the waiter accidentally knocked over my boyfriends glass of champagne which went on my dress and handbag. I understand that accidents happen and cannot be helped.
However, by this point, I was quite frustrated having to order items that were not my preference and therefore this was annoying.
Once the bill arrived, I noticed that 13.5% service charge was added - after VAT. This is unacceptable. I should not have to pay service charge on top of Sushi Samba VAT payments.
I never usually mind paying service charges as I have previously worked in restaurants - but this time the service charge was over £15... which is the same price for the majority of their cocktails/drinks. Seems pretty steep for two people that left hungry and had to share a five guys burger after...
E. K.
Lovely experience! Delicious food nicely served. Amazing design and good service. Pity they limit your time by 2 hours...
X. W.
Loved the nori chips, the rest of the dishes were so so. The pork belly bun was too salty for me. Nice venue with seats outside.
L. B.
We've been quite a few times to the Heron Tower main restaurant, so it was nice to be able to pay this smaller branch a visit. Food was lovely as always. We had the tuna civiche, pork belly with butterscotch miso sauce and wagyu bun. Would say the beef wasn't the best, but serving on an rsj was interesting! Tuna was the best with loads of interesting bites each time. Staff were all really lovely with just the right amount of attentiveness, they obviously know the menu very well and service was excellent! Loved it!
P. B.
Went on Saturday for impromptu drinks in the afternoon and returned on Sunday for lunch. Stunning venue and the food is next level. Definitely visiting again soon.
N. D.
Excellent food, venue and service. The black cod and wagyu gayozas are a must. It’s good value for money but it is expensive (expect around £40 - 50 per head).
I would choose this location over the overhyped Liverpool St. location.
C. C.
The quality of the food is as good as their other locations, just delicious! Staff are knowledgeable, friendly and the venue is just stunning!
Super impressed! Will be back...
M. T.
What a delightful experience. Very attentive service and excellent, flavourful food. The birthday tart at the end for my wife was an especially nice touch. Will definitely visit again and recommend strongly to others. Thank you!
D. S.
Great service! Nice food! Good vibrant place in Covent Garden.
A. R.
We went to Sushisamba Covent Garden, having already been wowed by the Liverpool Street branch. The interiors are very tastefully done and we got to sit outside on the first floor terrace with a view out on the Covent Garden market. We ordered the wagyu gyoza, the kagoshima ishiyaki and the moqueca mista. All three items tasted exceptional and the experience involved in cooking the meat yourself on the hot stone was novel and memorable! The service was wonderful too. We'll definitely be coming back here!
J. M. (.
Loved it! Completely different feel to the original, slightly more relaxed however the location is so much more continent for me. The plants everywhere were beautiful
B. L.
I'm in love with all of their sushis. El Topo is a very unique experience.
Their cocktails and banana cake are also delicious.
S. M.
Food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Highly recommend dining here. Cocktails were delicious too.
R.
I usually only go to their Liverpool Street branch and this was my first time coming to this branch. Despite not having the view from the 34th floor it still looked and tasted just as good. Vibes and staff were nice. One of my favourite. Must order the El Topo sushi.
G. C.
Amazing food, atmosphere and service. My favourite dish is the shrimp tempura, so niceeee
M. R.
The food is super delicious and the staff very friendly and attentive. Can always recommend. The dessert was fantastic, both in taste and presentation.
A. S.
It’s decent but the service could be better and the food could also be better. You’re paying a premium and you’re getting great, not fantastic. Maybe for London is excellent but for Globetrotters it’s OK.
N. S.
This can't be at a better place, you can enjoy the awesome views of Covent Garden and also the décor of the restaurant is top class; totally love it.
M. M.
Loved this place, great food and atmosphere, always busy. Recommend.
V. N.
Usual great sushisamba food, amazing service and drinks.
However the best sushisamba is still in heron tower. Covent garden just really can't compete with that sadly.
T. F.
One of the best sushi places in London . Lots of flavors in every sushi 🍣. Great vibe and great atmosphere. Its a bit pricey but worth it .
A.
Food was beautiful and tasted awesome, decor of the restaurant was also gorgeous. Price was a bit expensive but that reflects the quality of the food.
D. L.
Enjoyed the atmosphere and the small sideshow peppered about. Although fairly cold there was quite a lot of people taking in the Christmas festivity feeling.
V.
Such an amazing menu and lovely staff the food was phenomenal 👍🏼
S. M.
We went here on me and my husband's birthday celebration and it was amazing!! Worth the money. Amazing staff, sophisticated and delicious food. Just yum!
The tuna samba rolls and salmon with sticky rice and mozeralla were delishh!
P.s: everything was halal!
Z. L.
Not only were Victor and Salvatore exceptionally attentive but they were also very good at their jobs. We had the best night and a hell of a lot of cocktails! FYI the cocktail were excellent and strong!
N. M.
Noisy, food looks great but not very tasty. Service is poor, have to wait for a while to be served
I. M.
Another wonderful sushi samba experience. Special thanks to the Roxanna’s at reception and our lovely waiter Oscar! We will be back very soon
M. d. l. A.
I love the food here. They do have different tastes of food. The design of the place is very nice. You need a reservation most of the time. Try their suchi and their salads.
V. K.
Stylish and my favorite place! Live DJ, nice cocktails, amaizing cuisine. Very good for brunches and weekend drinks👍🍸🍹🍷
M. M.
Beautiful place and amazing food! Enjoyed the drinks and the vibe was exactly what I was looking for. Service was excellent too. Truly enjoyed!
J. B.
The food was amazing! The staff are friendly and the venue at Covent Garden is beautiful. Absolutely recommend and would go back again.
S. S.
The food at sushisamba has always been good and there is a lot of choice of cocktails as well. Service was a big let down. Staff seemed to continually ignore us when trying to get their attention or say they would be back shortly and then never came. The person serving our table seemed disinterested and frustrated when we asked questions about the food. We went during the first week back allowed inside restaurants so I appreciate it was busy however I think the inattentive service made the overall experience not as enjoyable as I have been to this restaurant before & thought it was good.
E. C.
My first time at Sushi Samba and the ambience is beautiful! The rooftop view is great but not as much as the dining area. But our waiter Louis was very kind and went over the menu with us. We had ordered two appetizers and 4 different rolls. Louis make excellent suggestions! And the cocktails we ordered were AMAZING!
I was disappointed that they did not have the welcome to the rainforest available since they have a prefix with a new dessert and did not have the ingredients to make the other dessert.
Overall...it was a pleasant experience.
S. P.
Delicious sushi and friendly members of staff. Don't forget to make a reservation in advance. ☺️
A. A.
Nice cocktails good vibes. Amazing decor
S. M.
Love love LOVED this place! Bar is beautiful, cocktails are great and staff are friendly! Food = 👌🏽 too!
T. T.
Love at first bite for each meal, loved everything about sushi samba from the jungle like decor to the food and the service. Everything was perfect...
A. M.
I wasn't a fan of Sushi but now i am. You cant beat their flavoursome dishes. Period . Staff is very friendly. Service is quick.
A. K.
Fine dining restaurant with high prices, food was average, but the cocktails are very nicely presented and tasted good. You would expect 5 star service for the price you pay. The wait to get in can be a bit long though.
T. D.
Fun fusion sushi experience . Fun decoration with good vide. Good place for afternoon drink. Funky cocktails.
D. S.
Had an amazing evening meal here really enjoyed it and would definitely go again.
M. S.
Well designed outside seatings, it allows for customers not to freeze with Heat Lamps
R. M.
Great service, delicious food! Stunning restaurant. Thank you also for our lovely ‘happy anniversary plate’. Also YOU MUST TRY THE LYCHEE COCKTAIL 😍
A. J.
Really nice cocktails in a great premium location. Nice place to get away from the busy street below. Fantastic decor too. Just be prepared for your wallet to take a pounding
R. L.
Significantly over-priced, but then again it is in Covent Garden!
Very noisy! However, food was served hot and was delicious.
J. T.
We celebrated my daughter’s birthday here and I can’t praise it highly enough. The service, atmosphere and beautiful surroundings were just perfect. The food was simply stunning and I can’t thank all the friendly, professional and diligent staff enough for making our evening so special. We’ll be back!
G. R.
Not bad but the hygiene needs improvement. Our waitress found it necessary to touch our chopsticks all the way and repeated that for everyone.
I. B.
Food was like an art, waiters polite and friendly and the rainforest - like ambient made it even more special!
D. K.
This food was amazing, I loved the seabass robata but the corn 🌽 was ok, it was not the best. I rate this restaurant 5 stars 🌟
M. k.
Well decorated restaurant. Tasty food but Abit over priced. Recommended for fancy dinner
m.
The sister site to the the Heron Tower located on the roof of Covent Garden market. After you walked upstairs and walk into the bar area you feel you have entered the tropical forests of South America then the decor changes as you walk to the far end of the restaurant to the quirky modern take of Japan. The staff are very attentive with a good knowledge of the dishes and what drinks accompanied your food choices. Our group of five choose a selection of dishes to try and share. I would say all tasted amazing with complex flavours and freshness. I will say save space for desserts. I did enjoy the selection of Sake brought back memories of dining in Kyoto.
L.
The Mea Terra is probably the best little salad I've had all year, so exquisite. The prawn sushi roll was also top quality. However, charging £8 for some lychee flavoured water full of sugar with tons of ice is daylight robbery.
P. M.
an impressive place that without a doubt you have to visit in London where they serve the best sushi eh tasted and the perfect attention I recommend !! ..
A. B.
Took my girlfriend here for her birthday and everything was great. We will definitely be coming back it was amazing.
f. a.
Amazing food and such great service. The staff are just so friendly and happy to help whenever they can. It isnt cheap but worth the price. Definitely worth a visit!
B. C.
Astonishingly good food and a nice space, with great service. It's not cheap, but it's a treat worth paying for.
R. V.
Amazing experience in this gorgeous establishment. Staff were extremely polite, helpful, welcoming and knowledgeable about the products and ingredients. I had one of the best times here. The food was outstanding, the wine was great too and I would totally recommend this place for business lunch, colleagues get together or couple's romantic evening. It is a gorgeous restaurant with beautiful décor and lovely views over Coven Garden piazza. Try it at least once when on your travels, even for a drink on the terrace/roof top bar.
A. M.
Love this place! Food is great a little bit overpriced but it’s nice for a special occasion.
S. L.
Only had cocktails there and had a great time. The cocktail menu was rather extensive which meant there was something for everyone. Not to mention, gorgeous place too.
G. K.
Fantastic atmosphere. Delicious food, although highly priced. Friendly, professional service
K. R.
5 star experience, you don't need my review to know that.
C. V.
Staff were lovely and the food was delicious
g. m.
First experience there. Location wise, Heron Tower is superior (great view, wonderful dining room). The Covent Garden location is more unassuming. Food wise, same identical quality, as you would expect. If you like the standard sushi experience go for the nigiri / sashimi menu (very good quality fish), but what makes this place unique is the rolls, each single item is specific and with blends of tastes that gives the sushi experience a very different tone. I would highly recommend it. PS. Of course, be ready to spend quite a lot, this is the only real downside.
A. L.
What an amazing Restaurant! Beautiful surroundings, fantastic service and the best Sushi ever! Very highly recommended!!
A. M.
One of my favourite restaurants in London 😍
The food here is absolutely gorgeous, and for someone who usually knows what I'm getting after a quick look at the menu, I always struggle here because everything looks so delicious (needless to say I've been more than once).
The decor of the place is absolutely stunning (if you're going inside and not eating on the ground terrace part). The cocktails are fairly good, although a bit sweet for their original ones. They can do classical cocktails on request.
But the food absolutely takes the crown, because their sushi and meats are delicious. The El Topo sushi and the Brazilian style churrasco were amazing, and the Samba salad is like a dance in my mouth. For what you get, this is definitely worth the price, and really not that expensive.

Wasn't sure about sushi. But after our meal here I now love it.
One of the best meals i've had for sure
J.
Amazing food, very kind for fitting us in.
Food was truly exceptional, black cod tempura shrimp, teriyaki chicken, sushi and sashimi all delicious. Lovingly presented and great range of flavours. Also very kind staff for accommodating us even though our booking was actually for the next night...
S. W.
Fabulous food. Highly recommend it if you like Japanese food with a twist!
F.
Truly delicious food. Very expensive and service was slow, but food really is exceptional.
W.
Above average Japanese food, great venue and ambience but the service was poor.
M. B.
Let me start by saying that the food and drinks were great and that previous Sushi Samba experiences at Heron Tower have been amazing. It therefore pains me to write this review, as the service in Covent Garden was a real let down. For context, we went 23 July and sat in the outside terrace.
Below is a summary of easily avoidable service mishaps that hope get resolved in the future:
1. When we were about to order drinks, the waiter walked away without saying anything as we we were still deciding
2. The food arrived within 3-5 minutes of ordering, which gave us the impression it was 'fast food' - although it did taste amazing
3. When we were served ribs we were told that we will get a water bowl to clean our hands which didn't arrive. Again the ribs were amazing but I had to ask 4 different waiters and walk up the the bar to get the water bowl to clean my hands - which took around 10 - 15 minutes. Again - the ribs were delicious
4. When the meat platter arrived, our plates from the ribs weren't cleared until we asked them to be taken away. While the meat was amazing, the slices of rib-eye were around 6x4cm, and way to big to eat with chop sticks. So we tried to get someone's attention and asked for some cutlery which arrived 5 minutes after the food had arrived.
5. It is hard to imagine, but it was actually a cold and windy evening (23rd July). So when my girlfriend asked one of the waiters if they had any blankets he just said 'no' and walked away. There are so many more empathetic ways to respond to that...
6. We tried to make eye contact with a waiter to pay for the bill, unsuccessfully. I'm not a person to raise a hand or my voice, but am used to making eye contact and giving a nod for people to come over - as it is the norm in every standard restaurant. After finally getting the bill I asked the service charge to be taken off as I wasn't satisfied with the service. The unprofessional response from our waiter was 'why'. I would have expected a waiter to apologise and ask what they could have done differently, but this waiter just asked 'why' and when I explained it he just walked away.
Overall I think there were tonnes of staff outside, but none seemed to be very attentive. They walked around like empty vessels who made eye contact but then would ignore people with a glaze in their eyes.
One other observation I made was that there were always 2 waiters on the POS system for orders, and it looked like they were manually keying in orders from another sheet. It didnt appear like the most slick operation.
I have been to Sushi Samba Heron Tower multiple times before and always had a good experience, so it really is a shame that the Covent Garden branch is struggling to deliver the same service. I really hope that this gets sorted, as it is a wonderful venue with delicious food!
All the best,
Moray

It was our first time here and we were very impressed. The decor and vibe (even though inside was empty due to Covid restrictons) is really funky!
We had a terrace table and a great view of Covent Garden. The food was absolutely delicious and there was a great choice.
Will definitely be going back!!
G. H.
Great decor, great service from our waiter (he was a Romanian guy, excellent at his job)
Food was absolutely delicious. Try the shrimp tempura, sooo good.
Highly recommend
C. S.
The food us great, the desserts were sophisticated and the ambiance is perfect. The servers were also very good
Y. A.
The food was really wonderful but the portion sizes are a joke. The miso soup literally had two noodles, half of the world smallest mushroom and was about a hand cup size. Regardless the staff were lovely and allowed us to have a great time!
L. G.
It looks very cosy and welcoming.Thers a lot going on in Covent Garden, it's so interesting area
J. F.
Great food. Waiter can’t pour a drink to save his life, not very proactive. Front of house abysmal - waited for 5 minutes while he was chatting to a colleague without even acknowledging we were waiting - the worst / rudest reception I have ever received - don’t think I’ll be going back on that basis. Should train your staff on how to treat customers / find new ones if they can’t grasp it.
R. R. D.
One of the places to visit when you are in London. Exceptional ambience and by far the best sushis I have eaten.
C. L.
Went here with my friends for their birthday, and it was absolutely fantastic. The place is gorgeous, their cocktails exciting, and the food is hands down some of the best I've had, every dish just punching with flavour. My mouth is watering just thinking about it, oh my gosh.
The real gem is the service, however. Every member of staff we interacted with was friendly, helpful and welcoming, from the hostess to the bartenders to the food runners.
We had Maddie waiting our table and she was absolutely excellent. Kind and warm, giving great recommendations and making sure we were looked after while also giving us plenty of room to enjoy our food and conversations. She even came out with a surprise plate of macaroon to wish my friend a happy birthday!
My friend had an absolute blast throughout her visit, and I cannot thank the team enough for it. Will definitely be coming back!
T.
Fabulous night, food amazing service attentive. Set in the middle of Covent Garden.
A. A.
Very nice food and cocktails
Recommendations: pork belly and neo Tokyo sushi
S. G.
Very good cuisine
We enjoyed the food very much
A.
Fabulous food, service of the dishes was sporadic, but in fairness, they were very very busy.
The staff were attentive and very friendly.
M. A. S.
very nice place, tasty food and friendly staff
Special thank for Judy, she was amazing
I. S.
We went there last night after a disappointing dinner at Chotto Matte and it was the best decision. Food was delicious, service was great. Our night ended very well thanks to this place. Highly recommended!
f. a.
Brilliant!! After lockdown its great to go to a place where the atmosphere was lovely. The food was amazing. We had a nice little booth indoors. Staff wore masks and were super friendly from the entry to everyone that waited on our table. Lovely waitress surprised my sister with a little birthday macaroon (which she loved). As we left everyone on our way said thanks and even the door man was so kind and helped take our photos. I really enjoyed my evening and appreciate the effort made by the staff. This is certainly a place I would come back to.
T.
Very nice interior decor and dining area with outside sitting areas on the terrace with a nice view over Covent Garden. Good menu options, although quite expensive for the portion size for what you're paying. Flavour of the food was quite good, a mixed fusion style and presented very well. Overall a good dining experience if you're there for the environment and visual experience but not the best value for money if you're there to eat sushi.
A. P.
Amazing food and fantastic staff who always go the extra mile!
E. S.
Very nice place to have little break for nice drink
G. A.
Sushi is amazing, tempura was yummi! Great cocktails, i recommend the cocktail with strawberry and Grapefruits based with vodka, our waitress "Franceesca" was super nice, helpful and funny! Totally recommended!
A. T.
Lively ambience, bustling tables but you can find a spot to suit you, drinks at SushiSamba are always spot on, and served well. More relaxed setting than in Heron Towers. Would recommend to get here early for a drink before dinner but would be lovely during the day due to the glass ceiling and plant fixtures.
S.
Really nice place to go for food, quick and efficient service within a clean environment.
B. C.
Food was delicious. Ambience was nice. Concierge and staff did their job on waiting on the customers. Now, the cons, the portions were extremely scant. It felt like I was food tasting as opposed to having a proper meal. For the price in the menu, I expect not only edible food, I expect to be FED. Add the 13% discretionary charge on top of the bill, then I don't feel value to the pound anymore. I requested the customary 10% charge I am used to paying.
R. D.
Haven’t been to a restaurant in a while where I loved everything I ordered! The service was a bit slow but we did go on a “eat out to help out” evening but the waitress was lovely. The pork belly and shrimp tempura was divine and cooked so well with so much flavour, amazing decor as well! Cannot wait to go back
A. B.
Its very very good, and fun atmosphere... The banana choco cake is amazing. Not a huge fan of the robata.. Sushi and sashimi better. Rolls overall very good. Not the *best* Japanese (see Ikeda) but.. Let's be honest.. You just go for the experience - and it's guaranteed fun.
s. d.
Excellent food, excellent ambience, excellent service, an overall beautiful experience. Will be back again for sure .
K. T.
The food was good but the quantity was quite less for the price. We were given the table only for 1.30 hours considering limited space. The mail course food was given to me only 10 mins before our end of table time and exactly at 1.30 hours requested us to vacate.
S. J.
Very nice place. Great service - super friendly and funny staff. We had a lovely evening.
S. B.
Lovely restaurant, still prefer Heron Tower version though. Aesthetics is lovely.
A. L.
Very nice place, good vibe, good food and drinks, beautiful visual merchandising and the waiter Agata, she was very friendly, helpful and excellent customer service, she was amazing.
E. T.
Sometimes a restaurant experience changes your life and this was one of them. Every part of the experience, from the food to the drinks to the decor and the service, was absolutely impeccable. We came on a Monday evening at around 7pm and the place was relatively quiet and we had no issue getting a table. We had a few drinks in the bar and cocktails recommended by our waiter. The cocktails were incredible, attention to detail even down to the garnishes was just amazing. Then, the food... Honestly some of the best food I've ever had. We had a vegan and someone with a nut allergy in our group and the waiters were knowledgable about the present allergens. All the food was amazing and I will definitely be back very very soon.
M. S.
The food was great and tasty.
Nice location
A littel bit small portion for the price.
Nice and very kind staff
And you should book before
K. K.
Would give a 5 but I did not like the meet and greet at the door. Once inside it was very good indeed, great service from an engaging team, fab tasting food.
K. F.
Really nice venue and the staff were very friendly. Food and drink was okay, would like to try again one day if the menu changed up a bit.
A. C.
Popped in for a drink, service was amazing and there was a lovely atmosphere
A. A. A. (.
Its alright, foods good looks beautiful, tastes amazing, service not so much
O. K.
Good food, good service very expensive.
C. B.
We ate at SushiSamba on Monday evening and had a great experience. The service, food and atmosphere were perfect. This is one of only a handful of times we have eaten out since lockdown eased and I'd say this was our best experience so far. The staff all wore masks and kept a slight distance without it being weird. Our server Maddie was really great and recommended some amazing dishes. We loved all of the dishes we ordered and will definitely be returning again!
M. S.
I love the place, perfect foods and dessert 🍨 plus red wine for my birthday. (31.08.21)
S. A.
Great sushi, really good and attentive service.
Had a slight issue with the cooking of the lamb chops, which was resolved immediately and courteously.
We went on a recommendation and would definitely go back.
P. M.
So good i had to go there twice in a week , first time on a business lunch them took my wife there on the weekend to show her what it was like. Get the lobster tacos and pork belly skewers. Also the tempura is incredible. Best restaurant in Covent Garden
R. K.
On occasional Tuesday evening I had no booking in Sushisamba and just walked in with my best half for a couple of drinks and some nibbles. Roxana from reception showed her magical skills and organised a table for us. Perfect evening!
T. O.
Interesting menu with a great variety of food and drink. The octopus robata and samba covent garden sushi roll were particularly delicious. Really nice seating outside at covent garden.
Q. G.
Lovely cocktails, friendly service, loved the food, but very high prices,, so starters and 2 cocktails came to around £80
j. D. r.
I had a great experience. The waiters are so kind and has alot of knowledge on food and drinks. We basically choosed their personal favourite dishes and it was delicious. Thank to the staff at Covent Garden.
O. M.
Great atmosphere, food and service.. best sushi in London.
P. K.
Great food, nice atmosphere, attentive staff!
v. s.
Good food beautiful ambient lighting and very good customer service
L. S.
Great atmosphere, food is amazing, staff were welcoming and friendly plus it’s in a great location
N. B.
Fantastic food. Perfect service and nice atmosfer
C. B.
I have nothing to say but AMAZING...DECOR, CUSTOMER SERVICE, FOOD, DRINKS...AMAZING
A.
Delicious food. Small plates are really yummy, but are in fact very small. The larger dishes are huge though and worth the price! The atmosphere is beautiful, there are plants everywhere that make it look like a jungle with a modern twist. You can see into the kitchen and it is great to watch everything being prepared. So fresh and amazing.
T.
Pretty restaurant, pretty food, a bit pretentious, a bit overpriced. The lobster taquitos were falling apart, the beef bun was somewhat plain and the needless addition of soy paper to the temaki rolls made them very challenging to bite. Tasty food but a much messier experience than I had anticipated, nearly every dish had something about it that was falling apart.
O. A. N.
This review is long overdue! Great vibe, service and food.. highly recommend their salmon ceviche 👌👌
S. T.
Vibes vibes vibes. Gorgeous location and great broad menu. Best things are the Sake Spritz cocktail, shrimp tempura, lobster tacquitos and green beans.
r.
It was the best choice for sushi and fish lovers.
R. S.
Good beers, but food left much to be desired.
D. K.
Food and cocktails were very well presented.
We are vegetarian and thoroughly enjoyed the food. It was extremely tasty and flavoursome. Social distancing measures were kept in place.
A. A.
Brilliant atmosphere and service. The food was not only tasty but very creative and well presented - almost too good to eat. One of the deserts we ordered. was a small garden and from what I understand profits of the desert go towards a charity ! Brilliant
J. M.
Great service and amazing cocktail list. Have been a few times and the cocktails never disappoint. The TomYum is a perticular favourite now.
C. S.
Really nice place. Good vibes
b. e.
Awsome place had a good time
D. K.
The food was delicious. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. It was very expensive but worth it. However, the whole meal they kept bringing food to our table that we hadn't ordered. There were five plates that came and were taken back. Overall if you're OK with the price tag, go for it.
M. L.
Worth the visit for the view/ bar. But wouldn't go again as it's pricey
S. S.
The best place, very good cocktails, good service, great welcoming staff.
Had couple of dishes, was very satisfied with the food that I’ve received. Waiter Samuele was fabulous. John made me couple of drinks which ware delicious. Thank you guys. Will defiantly be back for another night out with my wife.
E. C.
Service friendly and very efficient.
Yellow tail taquitos, shrimp tempura and salad all delicious.
Kids loved the wagyu gyoza and lamb chops
Would come back in a heart beat, didn't try any cocktails but they all looked lovely so will be coming back to try those. Perfect place for a boozey lunch with friends or quick snack after shopping
A. C.
It's ok but the food is too creative. I lived the martini that had a pear like flavour to it. Go for it.
B. G.
Nice place to take the kids, especially during the festive period.
M. P.
My favorite place to discover new food. Great ambiance
G. C. N.
Amazing atmosphere! Food its good, but nothing spectacular... i was expecting more because the prices are really high...
A. K.
Super busy restaurant usually but went on a Sunday and it was pleasantly peaceful. Lovely decor and amazing food as always. Easy parking available in central on a Sunday too = winning!
P. P.
Generally a nice place with good decor and great food, however the service is appalling.
Had to call a waiter every time we wanted something.
On our arrival we were greeted and introduced to our waiter who said he was in charge of 5 tables and he will be looking after us.
He never came to ask if everything was ok.
When we raised this matter to the manager Olga M, her reply was even worse and she’s wasn’t interested to hear what we had to say.
Overall the food was good but very costly. Happy to pay for good quality food but service has to be in line.
As there are many places around that offer quality food inline with great service.
n. g.
Amazing vegan menu! Food blew me away tonight! Absolutely delicious creative beautiful dishes!
a. r.
In the past this has been one of my favourite places to eat and I would always give it 5*. Sadly there are clearly some changes post lockdown. The food was not what it once was and the service was poor.
S. H.
The decor here is excellent and the living roof makes you feel happy and safe as well as being stylish. The staff were friendly and efficient. Drink quality is excellent, which is reflected in the price. I had a Kobe beef bun as a snack which was expensive ( Due to the Kobe) but didn't deliver on flavour. Overall a good experience.
C. P.
The food was very tasty and well presented. The tacos: delicious! It really it a bit overpriced, but they sell the ambience to be honest. Pudding was fun, ask for the pear!! A place to visit as a one off for me.
A. P.
Sushi, music and good vibes.
I have been there with my friends on Saturday and it was my first time there.
I really loved the food and the atmosphere, waiters were kind even tho there were some misunderstandings but they figured out to fix everything.
Medium price for a dish is 12/20 pounds, if you are looking to eat cheap, this is not your ideal place.
C. W.
Fantastic food, it was great to go as a group and share about 10 different dishes. Each dish was unique and excellently prepared. Its a little pricey, but given the location and quality, I would say worth it!
s. d.
Lovely food and good location. The food is fantastically presented and very tasty, would have liked the Kobe beef but no matter how hard we looked, we couldn't find the £1000 required down the back of the sofa. Highly recommended for decent sushi.
M. Y.
Decor was nice and service was good but the quality of food was not great compared to other fine dining restaurants around.
I was surprised to find that some of the food tasted like it had been reheated or was a bit old. The shrimp tempura didnt taste right and the squid was extra rubbery.
Black cod was good but overall I expected a lot better for the prices I was paying.
I dont think I'll be going back and would prefer to revisit the many the other Asian fine dining restaurants around London.
A. M.
Good atmosphere/vibe, the diverse menu is great and the service staff is quite knowledgeable. I feel like the cost of drinks is a bit too high which is why I've removed one star, but great for a treat or date when you're feeling fancy and don't mind splashing out a bit!
N. L.
it was a nice experience going there but i felt that the food was too expansive for no good reason. the sushi was good but not interesting enough for this kind of restaurant. the only dish that was surprisingly amazing was the Ceviche which we all agreed was the best thing we ordered. but the place is beautifully designed and has a nice atmosphere.
M. K.
I have been there several times, and always great experiences.
E. B.
Delicious food. Excellent service from knowledgeable, friendly staff. Yummy cocktails. Great vegan choices. Awesome evening out. Quite expensive but definitely worth it. Highly recommended, we’ll definitely be back!
B. K.
Definitely a pricey night out, but totally worth it for the right occasion. Service and drinks are on point, and the food is superlative. Not a single underwhelming dish.
Ε. Μ.
There was a super warm atmosphere! Staff was really polite and willing to help you with everything you needed! Cocktail was delicious.. Toilets were one of the cleanest toilet I have ever been!!! I strongly recommend it!
A. S.
Amazing food, great atmosphere, knowledgeable and friendly staff.
C. B.
Just wanted to express my LOVE & APPRECIATION to Sushi Samba ..!!
We visited here on our first official date and it was just perfect ..!!
The drinks at the bar were FABULOUS..!!
The decor was very tropical 🌴 I LOVED IT ..!! The atmosphere was really positive and buzzy ..!!
All the staff from start to finish went above and beyond which I really appreciated.
The food was produced quickly and it was FRESH & DELICIOUS ...!!
We really had THE BEST TIME ...!!
Thank you ever sooo much for making our first date a memorable and special date ..!!
Lots of Love 💖✨🌈🦄xx
J. S.
Just had a smashing dinner here. We were early for our table so got parked at the bar. Then we got forgotten about. That said as soon as I popped out to reception and asked, the team were fab, apologies all round. Once at our table our waiter was thoroughly approachable and able to answer any questions we had about the menu and drinks list. You may think it odd I mention the 'approachableness' of our waiter but in a restaurant like this your waiter should be your best friend, trust their opinion, tell them what you like and let them guide you. Expect to spend a little more than you were anticipating and definitely order the waygu goyoza!
D. T.
Lovely food and great service...
A. G.
Reallly fun environment, it has a cocktail as you come in leading into the restaurant which is based with the restaurant on one side and windows overlooking Covent Garden on the other. The food was delicious although my pregnant wife could eat too much but we shouldn’t have gone to a sushi restaurant when she’s pregnant! Great cocktails too. A lovely experience.
z. a.
Expensive drinks, good customer service. The decor is gorgeous.
c. t.
Great timp with my family !!!
I definitely recommend it.
S. W. H.
Was pleasantly surprised with the food! My starters, the Wagyu Gyoza and tempura prawns were very tasty. The scallops from the robata grill were also good. The cocktail menu was nice, i enjoyed one of the signature serves. The samba rolls however, were not my thing. Service was nothing special. Restaurant is in a great location, and was a pleasantly vibrant atmosphere for Saturday night late dinner.
K.
One of the most aesthetically pleasing places to visit. No doubt the interior is fab, didn't try the food but the drinks were good, albeit pricey. My bfriends non alcoholic cocktail still averaged around £7.50. I'll likely go back to try food, may wait until payday for that one though..
J. P.
Really excellent American style sushi. Expensive but not extortionate for the three course set meal at £28. The staff were professional but there is a fine line between professional and grumpy, we could have done with a few more smiles (the lady at the door on the other hand was exemplary). I would visit again.
N. S.
Superb location, hustle and bustle of London. Nicely decorated restaurant and fairly new on the block. Great to be able to dine at SUSHISAMBA without the need to venture to Liverpool Street and also be fully booked. Nice window seat. Good solid sushi and well presented as always. Worth a visit for sure. see my profile for pics. @nikstewart28 🙏 🙏
s. b.
Best sushi we have ever had and v nice setting! Hi
P. S.
Excellent service and friendly staff food very tasty.
M. L.
Went to the new sushisamba in covent garden to try their set menu (around 30 pounds including service charge). I was very impressed with what you get for this price! The good was extremely creative and tasty as always. Service was fast and polite. The decor was also in point.
D.
Going to a restaurant can't just be about the food. It has to be about the entire experience. A great night is about the people you are with, the location, music, service food and the drinks. 5 stars is well deserved. Granted I had to bring the wonderful company but Sushisamba nailed the rest! Wonderful night!!!
C. V.
Great food and great service. Lovely day.
A. A.
My friends and I loved SUSHISAMBA! The sushi was absolutely delicious. It’s much better than most sushi places in London! I highly suggest trying their sushi! It’s unique and it’s not a typical sushi place. We loved everything we ordered!
S. K.
Great 🍣🍣 sushi place and Nice environment.
i. M.
Must visit restaurant. Love the ambiance and the food
A. B.
Amazing atmosphere and decor. The service is very quick and efficient. Food is extremely yummy and well prepared. Decoration of the food is super. Tiraditos are phenomenal and so is the black cod and the shrimp tempura. The rolls are amazing especially the soft shell crab one. I would recommend the mochi for desert.
s.
The hype for the original sushi samba is well deserved, and it's exactly the same story here. Innovative, perfectly executed. The service is bang on. Not too stuffy, but friendly and attentive. You really do get what you pay for here.
V. M.
Excellent food n v good atmosphere.
C. M.
Great for just a drink in a thoroughly fabulous place. The decor is wonderful you feel like you are in a tropical paradise. I have eaten here before and the food was exceptional but it is on the pricey side so be prepared.
S. D.
Based on bar dining experience alone - but it was the perfect pre-theater spot for a cocktail and bites before a show. Love the Kobe Bun and Lobster Taquitos on their snack menu. They’ve got a few cozy tables upstairs at the long bar which are great for groups. Great wine selection with good prices.
V. H.
Amazing food. Simples
M. L.
Great taquitos overpriced cocktails seeing as you are not in the rooftop sushi samba
E. K.
Magical feeling and moments in Covent Garden!!!
T. M.
Excellent service, quality and a good experience
m. b.
Great food, friendly staff, beautiful restaurant.
B. L.
Great location, pricey.
Very noisy...cannot hear my friends talking
A. M.
Very pleasant outdoor surroundings in the Covent Gardens Mall plenty of hussel and bussel with people.
G. A.
Sushi is amazing, tempura was yummi! Great cocktails, i recommend the cocktail with strawberry and Grapefruits based with vodka, our waitress "Franceesca" was super nice, helpful and funny! Totally recommended!
J. M.
One of London's greatest places to eat and set in a perfect location with views over Covent Garden. Wonderful decor and brilliant staff who can be relied upon to recommend excellent dishes from a very varied menu.
J. H.
Great staff, food and atmosphere. We'll worth a visit
M. S. Z.
It's good, expensive, good quality food. The desert (rainforest) is ambitious but so so
J. P.
Great evening with my work colleagues, amazing service from Rebecca and excellent food recommendations to match.
L. H.
Delicious, original, Japanese-South American fusion food and drink. Friendly, attentive staff. Central location attracts plenty of customers, but we still didn't seem swamped or rushed on a Friday evening. Will certainly go back.
M. L.
Great taquitos overpriced cocktails seeing as you are not in the rooftop sushi samba
F. B.
I freaking love this place (almost as much as the Liverpool Street one)
R. S.
Love sushi sambha we usually go to heron tower but went to Covent Garden for a change and whilst location wise it’s great...I just prefer heron tower for ambience. But food is still amazing here too :)
G. W.
Excellent food and fantastic hospitality.
V. C.
Very good, place
l. r.
Such a beautiful setting and food and cocktails were delicious
A. K.
Delicious sushi, great vibe!
L. S.
I tried really hard to like this place. The view and the overall atmosphere help a lot but this try-hard fusion menu just seems to be going a little too far sometimes. Some dishes are great, some just ok. Definitely overpriced
S. M.
I celebrated my birthday here so certainly the place is special!
Very friendly staff and great vibe! Beautiful interiors and simply love the fusion idea- Who thought you could mix Brazil with Japan so beautifully!
The plaintains and the desserts were a highlight!
Was super excited to try my Veg Sushi rolls but for some reason it smelled of fish so didn’t quite enjoy that!
The miso soup was okay- I have had better
Had a coconut stew with nuts- that was yummy!
Good experience but the quantity is really small so hopefully they work on that.
The deconstructed blackforest and the mooncakes is a must order!
Will go back just for desserts next time!
G. P.
Amazing view. Great dishes
J. B.
The food is good but I experienced better at the Sushi Samba city.
Set in the heart of Covent garden it's a great location, but they have a cramped bar area where you often have to wait longer than a busy London pub on a friday night, not enough tables for the amount of people having drinks. Not good enough for the money they charge. Go to the city site....a hundred times better...
M. H.
A fist visit as I usually go to Heron Tower but it has yet to reopen. Fabulous food as always, engaging and knowledgeable staff and a great environment. There is a reason we keep coming back to Sushisamba.
D. E.
Almost all food is amazingly delicious, surprisingly the one thing that tasted quite mediocre was the sushi ☹️
O. M.
Good sushi but a hefty price tag for the quality. Presentation of the dishes and the place in general are very nice.
Waiters are very helpful and friendly.
C. B.
Had been to the Salesforce Tower branch several times but first visit here. Service was outstanding and food really something special. The location and furbishment makes it a great day and night option.
J. B.
I loved this place! I am from out of town and our Uber driver mentioned this restaurant which was close to where we were staying. Great atmosphere, great food (sushi and other small plates - although we got more sushi than anything). The service was great and the location was an obvious hot spot.
D. S.
Wow what a place. Sushi was amazing. Ive been to a lot of sushi resturants and this one is definitely up there. Cocktails also very good. Staff were amazing. Bit pricey but it is covent garden.
