I love this place, top quality Iranian food! After the lockdown many restaurants have gone to cheaper meat suppliers which obviously reflects on the quality of the dish overall but not with this place. They kept the quality which is very important ( at list to me) I rather pay extra and eat well. Always been a massive fan of persian food, I will definitely back again. Highly recommended! Special thanks to the chef!

Being Arab, I’m always on the hunt for authentic Middle Eastern food. I came here for lunch and all in all, was content with the food. I ordered the lamb kofta which was nice; admittedly the lamb was a little on the dry side, and the rice lacked the signature taste I craved for. That being said, the food was value for money (you won’t break the bank here), and staff were quick to serve us.

The service was great and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The atmosphere of the restaurant paired perfectly with the tasteful food overall a great place for pretty much any occasion! ps (The hummus is amazing)

Excellent place, with authentic Persian food. The Kashk-o-Bademjan (aubergine starter) was exquisite as was the Ghel-Gheli meatballs. We had fesenjoon (sweet and sour chicken with hints of walnuts and pomegranate) and the Baghali polo ba Gardan (24 hour slow cooked neck of lamb on sizzling plate served with saffron rice) - both were deliciously remarkable. Good waiter service, nice ambience and reasonably priced. Would definitely go again! The only down side was the kitchen was open air and close to the seating area, so all our clothes (including underwear!) reeked of food smells afterwards.

The food was delicious. I'm not too familiar with Persian cuisine but now I'm completely won over. I had a lamb stew with rice, and both were packed full of flavour. There was also top feedback from my friends who had a variety of different dishes. The service was first class and you got the sense that the waiter was genuinely keen for you to enjoy the food. I keep going back to this place because of how well they do Persian food. The ambience is truly unique, and really gives off a true Persian vibe. The food is just flawless. Whether you pick one of the platters or the rice dishes infused with saffron. Everything is just incredible. If there is one restaurant in Nottingham that I had to choose for the rest of my life, it would be this one.

Absolutely love this place, have been twice now and had my husbands 40th on 21st January 2022 and they couldn't do enough for us, the owner even bought him a Persian vodka to say happy birthday. Lovely staff, helpful and polite. They really do go all out to make you feel welcome and have a good time, the food was amazing, so worth the money and drinks reasonably priced too. We will be going back for our 3rd time on valentines day, cant wait :-)

My first Persian restaurant visit for lunch in Nottingham. The ambience and food is good. The portions are generous and I like the traditional stews and couple of people also had grill with rice. You can choose lamb or chicken for stews. Grill chicken with rice is good. They have a lunch for £7.5. Sad thing is they don't have drinks menu.

Fensenjoon is delcious with the rice topped with barberries. The grill (plate of kebab for two) was OK KOBEDAH was 6/10, chicken 7/10 and lamb chops 6/10 "not marinated". The salad (coleslaw) was rubbish. The staff were lovely. There is student discount 10%.

Nice interior and clean. slightly overpriced based on the quality. food is delicious. Staff are kind. Barg and rice were delicious but Shashlik was small, dry and burnt. Freshly baked bread (taftoon) was wonderful. Visited for the 2nd time. Starters are great as well as taftoon. Rice was delicious. however kebabs (bargain and koobideh) were salty and quality were below the average. As before staff are very friendly.

Great food, and a brilliant waiter who recommended some great dishes. There was an unhurried, friendly atmosphere and the waiter even checked if we wanted our mains starting during our starter or if we wanted some more time between courses. If we were local we would definetly be coming back.

What a great place! Went here before the rock opera, booked but didn't need too... Which was a shame. The staff are very humble and so very nice... just wanted to give them a hug. There's no rush which is nice when you really want to enjoy your meal. The food was unbelievably tasty, clean (not covered in oil) and well presented and the portion size was awesome. It's nice to see it being cooked. The way each little area of your plate compliments another is wonderful and the amount of meat you get is fantastic for the price.... And the persian empire lager is cracking. Also best rice I've had in ages. Will definitely be coming back. Would really recommend.

The service & quality of food and how it was cooked was perfect. However, adding curry to Persian food really put me off. Persian food doesn’t have curry in it. I ordered the royal kebab which for the price you pay you get a lot of food! And my partner ordered Ghormezabi and we were very disappointed as there was curry in it. I’d really recommend for the chef to stop putting curry in their food. Other than that it was great , good music too.

Everything was perfect. The location is suitable being next to Theatre Royal. Next to the tram stop. The staff were friendly and helpful and giving honest advice. The décor was Persian, advertising Iran and the Persian Culture. The food was just amazing, Taftoon bread melts in your mouth. Meat and rice with sauce, butter, coleslaw, chilli and tomato is perfect. The food was delicious and I will be going again.

I went with my husband & sister last night. After a little confusion of our booking it was made not too long before we got there, as my name/number wasn't taken down at the time of calling. We we're taken to our table. Food arrived within a decent time of ordering, they were quite busy. Food was tasty, good portion sizes. All 3 of us enjoyed our meal. Would go back. Definitely recommend a visit. Only negative no parking so have to park at a nearby carpark which is within a few min walk. ☺

I loved the very immaculate, friendly and professional service they provided and the beautiful quite sophisticated atmosphere but I wasn't a fan of the food. Next time I will make proper enquiries before I place my order and make sure I order what I'm sure of. Ask the waiter to explain everything you don't understand on the menu. The food was delicious because my 14 months old son enjoyed everything but the meal I had just wasn't what I would have loved to eat. A variety of spectacular Persian cuisine and I mistakenly settled for plain white rice and a kebab stick. I appreciate that they later gave me a complementary chicken soup on the house but I really wish I ordered and paid for something else😇😍😄

Food was good, not great. Their service, however, was pathetic. We made a reservation on phone but when we arrived, they didn't have our details. We were informed that if we made it on phone, it may not register (I found this hilarious, as I spoke to a person, not a robot on phone). Anyway, the staff argued a bit amongst themselves before asking us to sit down at a table and then to wait and then eventually asked us to sit down elsewhere. We placed the order and were informed that it's gonna take a while for the order as they were busy. I asked if it was gonna be longer than 30-40 mins and was informed that they cannot say at all, which didn't fill me with a lot of confidence. Will we return again? Probably not

Ate with friends here recently for the first time. The food was amazing, and such good value even without this August's weekday discount thingy (we weren't on the right day but they do do it). The staff were friendly and knowledgable. We had a large mixed plate of starters, two of the stews (ghorme sabzi and fesenjoon) and a pistachio chicken kebab. Drinks wise we had water, yoghurt drink and Persian tea. For pudding we had ice cream and baklava. I loved the walnut/pomegranate of the fesenjoon, my friends loved the herbs and lime taste of the sabzi. We all liked all the starters (especially the bread and the bademjan). Traditional Persian food with unusual (to traditional UK tastes) combos... but they work. We had to take some home because couldn't eat it all. Nom nom nom! The restaurant seemed sorted for covid-19 - we were a decent distance from the nearest other diners, toilets were clean and there was sanitizer etc.

Merci. I adore Persian cuisine and the delightfully sweet and sour chicken stew I had with walnuts was divine. I especially adored a yummy starter of salad oliveyeh. A lovely sweet lady served me. ☺ a bit pricey but very classy and clean. Big flavours, but not as spicey as Indian, so better for me. Lots of memories of Persian places in Manchester came flooding back, when I saw the names of dishes and the beautiful ceramics and teapots.

Initially we booked online to come here 3 weeks ago but when we arrived there was a sign saying 'its closed due to technical error'.We were never been emailed about this cancellation so it was a let down but we decided to give another go and finally our first visit. the food was lovely, the atmosphere was warm and cosy. The inside decoration was beautiful. The staffs were really friendly too. Deffo will be back.
