Honestly an amazing experience, lovely staff who are passionate about their hobby. Bunch of items to buy for big nerds like me. Free board games to play (within their fair use policy) Food is good and they have a variety of normal and vegan options as well as drinks and milkshakes, they're very accommodating for vegans too. Wheelchair accessible and in the town centre so not much of a walk. 10/10 would recommend

Love this place! It's become a weekly location for my friends and I go to, the staff are friendly, the atmosphere is easy going and the range of games available to play is great.
The prices are reasonable and the milkshakes are awesome.
Highly recommend 👍

Knowledgeable, approachable, friendly staff. Delicious food (try the milkshakes) and relaxed atmosphere. Great for gaming or just relaxing with a brew and a book. Can't praise this place enough. :D

The staff are all super happy, welcoming and friendly, if you need any help they are always on hand! Accessibility wise the store is ground floor with no entrance step but a wheelchair user might need help with the push door at the entrance (I use a walking stick and struggled to open the door without help from friends). It’s a great place for people of all ages and groups/families. There’s loads for kids to do as well as adults. The store takes cash and card. Free play board and video games plus you can bring your own as long as you buy some food/drink every hour. The space is disability + LGBTQ+ friendly unlike other gaming stores in the area so this is a great community resource!

Nice little place. Customer service and overall professionalism could easily be improved with serving trays and printed signage.
Found the opening times to be more of a guide than fixed hours.
Great place for like minded people to meet up and indulge.

It's a great idea. It just has a few things that need to be ironed out to make it a little better.
In my experience it doesn't open at 12.
The staff are very friendly however my order wasn't fulfilled and needed to ask for certain items that were forgotten. I saw this happen to another table also.
There are free board games to play along with two TVs with consoles (Xbox and Wii if I remember correctly). You're also able to bring your own games to play and all they ask is you buy something each hour you're in there. The menu is priced fairly and there's a good selection of drinks and burgers. Kids menu too!
I truly hope it does well as places like this are few and far between. Wishing you all the best, Geek Retreat!

Considering it was the first day and the place was rammed Danny Callum and the team smashed it milkshakes were lovely and my little lad loved playing bowling on the Wii, staff are super friendly and a huge win for us is the place is wheelchair friendly with plenty of room
