Have to say hats of to the support group. I'm a returning customer and their product fits very well. Previously I had a technical issue with a battery drain when using the Tracker, they really did go the extra mile diagnosing the issue. I've had to contact their support team a couple of times recently, the experience is quick, precise, no fuss, excellent. 10 out of 10 I would highly recommend them and their products.

I have used this system for years in South Africa. It is the fairest way to insure a vehicle especially one that does not do a lot of mileage. Pay for the wheels turning that's what I say.

ByMiles seemed the right way to go for me. I have an older and immaculate Audi TT Mk1 which is only used occasionally, fewer than 3000 miles annually. ByMiles was quick and easy to set up and all fine. Then I had an accident (not my fault) and what followed showed their customer service was pretty much non-existent. All their services are farmed out to third party agents and underwritten by AXA Insurance. No-one from ByMiles project managed my claim and after a month of waiting for action I called AXA to chase my claim personally only to find that ByMiles’d agents partner agents hadn’t reported the accident. Even after AXA started working on the claim they tried to get their agent CoPart to say my car was uneconomic for repair. EVENTUALLY I was offered Cash in Lieu (which is what I wanted all along) and it took 66 days and 8 companies involved (ByMiles, AXA and their 6 partners) to get my claim settled. A comedy of errors really. It then took my local trusted repair centre just 48 hours to do a fantastic repair job. I contacted a director of ByMiles via LinkedIn to offer my suggestions on my customer experience and how to improve but I heard nothing back. In conclusion, ByMiles act like a broker with an innovative bit of technology and they are good at setting it up. BUT.....if you need their service after an accident, they are still all over the place and don’t yet know how to manage accidents for their clients.

I have been impressed with the customer service agents, who are unfailingly friendly and helpful. I changed to a hybrid car last September and was delighted to do this free of charge and to finds my miles rate was cheaper. I renewed this month and the renewal was even cheaper than before. It is a great idea for low mileage drivers to charge by the miles driven, rather than pay a lump sum that is averaged out with high mileage drivers. I wish them every success for the future.

I have been with By Miles for 18 months now. I much prefer the pay monthly process, it works for me. However as an original customer there was no negotiation on my renewal price which I found disappointing. The price itself was competitive, but not much cheaper than other quotes.

I was very skeptical before joining these guys and thought it was too good to be true. I was paying £75 a month with my old insurer and before that even more when I first started driving 5 years ago. Since I've joined by miles I have never looked back. Last month I paid just over £17. It's an absolute winner and if you only drive 200-300 miles a month your on to a great thing. I'd say even up to 500 possibly. The customer service and app is also second to none. This is the future of car insurance. Have been with Bymiles for nearly two years. I drive a Mercedes E class. Estimate from other insurance company range from £600 to over a £1000 per year. Bymiles cost me approx £350 per year. Also if you email the company with a query they get back usually within the hour.

I would recommend 'By Miles' to anyone. I bought the policy been few months now. Friendly customer service I spoke to them about confirming my understand of how the insurance works. You pay a fixed amount for the whole policy year which mine was approx £420 and you pay a fixed rate per mile which was approx 10- 11 pence for me. Once you paid the fixed amount. You don't have to pay anything else expect the number of miles you do in the month. For example for me I roughly do 50 miles a week. So monthly I have to pay [ 50 (miles) x 0.11 (Fixed rate per mile) =£5.50] So in a month my insurance is £22. if I do the above miles every week. if you have any questions they have a lovely chat service to respond to any questions you might have. The tracker they sent you is easy to set up. Just plug it in. Best insurance policy in my opinion!!!

I have just bought my policy online and I am just rather perturbed that I cant use a promo code from reviews on google (these reviews) which helped me make my decision on getting insurance through by miles (thanks reviewers) and that by miles has replied to. UPDATED REVIEW !!! I have been using by miles for over 9 months now and thought it would be good to provide an update on how their insurance was going from a real customer. So far, I have only had one issue and it was quickly fixed. It had been raining heavily and the GPS thought that I was 1 mile further than I actually was. This would only cost 10p but I thought I would mention in to them on the live chat and they kindly removed the journey and gave it to me for free! In comparison to my previous car insurers, I would have paid over £300 more in bills at this stage whereas with this service I've just paid the upfront fee and the small cost whenever I drive the car. Can't fault their service offering. The insurance itself however is underwritten by other firms, so it limits their scope of offering to these other firms.

Love the idea, decided to go with them this year. Nothing to hate at all, protected no claims, underwritten by Zurich. Ticked all the boxes for me 🙂

Decided to give Bymiles a try after receiving an insurance renewal of over £800 for two cars, one of which averages 350 miles per year and the other less than 2000 miles per year. Expect estimated savings of around £400. Early days but Bymiles support has been excellent. The app seems to work fine but a number of functions not related to the insurance aspect are still under development for example OBD2 car diagnostics. So far very happy with Bymiles and highly recommend if you drive less than 7000 per year. Pay per mile insurance is a game changer.

The customer service was pretty poor when I made a claim recently. A single point of contact who knows what’s going on isn’t available and I have to deal directly with different companies they sub-contract to but all don’t seem to speak to each other and give confusing responses. Update: I’ve been assured they’re improving this area, which is great.
